of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Please make sure that your phones are either turned off or unsilent. >> All right? We all set. Okay. Seeing that there's no one for public forum, >> Mr. Verman. >> Uh certainly. Uh we have two different types of student recognitions. I'll start with Mr. Gaffne uh to to do a brief introduction on one of our student uh recognitions for Ethan Hos. >> Thank you for the opportunity. So there he is Ethan. First of all, um thank you for coming tonight for the recognition. Um, I wanted to read it quickly because I'm not sure um how much knowledge you know about the um the National Merit Scholarship Program. So, we've been working on a publication

to send out on behalf of Ethan, but I wanted to give you a little background history on what this is and how how how wonderful it is for our district and for Ethan. So, um, Ethan initially entered the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the preliminary SAT National Merit Scholarship qualifying test last year along with more than 1.3 million students from about 20,000 high schools across the country. In September of 2025, the highest scoring participants appro approximately 16,000 students nationwide were named semi-finalist. That includes Ethan. Um, after being named a semi- finalist, Ethan advanced in the competition by submitting a detailed scholarship application outlining his academic record, participation in school and community activities, leadership experiences, and additional honors and awards. His accomplishments ultimately led to his selection as a finalist, the last step in competition

before scholarship recipients are announced. Among the finalists nationwide, only a few thousand students will earn National Merit Scholarships when recipients are announced in the spring of 2026. That hasn't happened yet. Shortly it will. Um Ethan is proud to be considered for this prestigious recognition. I can tell you in the years that I've been here up to this point now, um I don't recall seeing a student get this far. So I think it's a it's a wonderful um accolade. Congratulations on on this accomplishment and achievement um not only for our school but for you. So thank you so much for that ACCOMPLISHMENT QUICKLY. I have a certificate for you. It's a certificate of merit. Hopefully there's more certificates to come. U but at some point in time we'll be a group picture and we'll make sure

that we do a nice threat to the newsletter too. E >> Ethan, I'm gonna have you come come on up. >> Yeah. >> Mr. Gaffne, can I ask you a quick question? You said the spring. So, is that soon that we would hear? >> They did. I don't recall the exact date. I think sometime in March, early April is when they're announced and the announcement will come, I think, via email. >> Okay. >> But I haven't received it yet. >> Okay. >> So, >> yeah. >> Yet, right. So congratulations, Ethan. Token of our appreciation for all of your academic accolades. >> Thank you. CONGRATULATIONS. >> Stay tuned for more information on that. It's it's really exciting uh for for Eth and his family and in our high school. So uh next up we have Mr.

Welchure. Uh we have a couple athletes from our winter sports season that had some outstanding accolades as well. So, we'll break up. >> Yeah. Uh, before I get to my two guests, um, Ethan is also a threeseason varsity athlete for the last four years with Mr. Briggs. So, along with all of his academic, um, excellence, he's had a great career as an athlete for Mr. Briggs in the Great Cross country and track program. So, thank you, Ethan, for everything. Um, I am joined here, and coaches, you guys can come up too if you'd like, um, by junior Maya Defiio and senior Rose Southwick. Our winter season, uh, we started practices on November 17th. Um, and we were competing all the way till the end of February, some of us. Um, and Maya just got back

from a another little competition about a week ago. So, um, these kids are months and months and months through the holidays. I can't say enough about them, their coaches, and their families for everything they've done for our athletic program. Just the dedication it takes to compete at such a high level for that amount of time with all the school work. Again, they're both great students as well. Um, had a great winner. Um, basketball teams had a couple of um, home sectional victories. Our cheerleading team had a great season. Boys and girls bowling was fantastic. Boys made sectionals. We have I could have three pages of this stuff. I just wanted to kind of give quick shout outs to everybody. Um, but again, we're here for Maya and Rose specifically tonight. So, I had an outstanding

and highly competitive indoor track and field season across multiple events. She's already one of the state's top high jumpers and she successfully added pvolt and long jump to her lineup this season. Um at the divisional championships she placed fifth in pvault, second in high jump and first in long jump among am month's division 2 schools. She went on to win the wing fingerlakes high jump title and the section B championships and earned the second earned second in the high jump became the first and became the class B3 sectional champion for the long jump with a school record of 16' 11 in. So that's Maya's sectional championship for this season. So let's hear from Maya. Taya's left is senior here Rose Southwick. Rose is our on our girls wrestling team. Rose finished her career here at

Red Creek with 50 total tournament wins, a Fingerlakes league championship, two sectional titles, and two trips to the girls state wrestling championships in Albany. U Mr. Van Orman and I were lucky to go the last couple years. It's a wonderful event and Rose represented us very well. Um after earning a bid to the state tournament last year, she approached this year by seeking a higher level of competition, which led her and her family and her coach all over the state um to find some competition to get her ready for sectionals and states this year. And it really paid off for Rose. Um she rose to the challenge through the season, consistently competing against top athletes, including multiple matches against last year's state championship um state champion, excuse me, and this year's third place finisher. You

finished, Rose finished with a 74% winning percent. She was only one win away from reaching the podium at the state championships this year in Albany. So again, my DeFi Rose Southwick, two of our finest. Thank you. >> I have four coins to hand out. >> So, we got to get uh the coaches up here as well. But >> congratulations, Rose. >> Congratulations, Maya. And >> of course, we have Mr. Briggs >> and Mr. Bull for all their uh efforts with our student athletes over the years. >> Congratulations. Questions, comments from the board on any of our student recognitions this evening? >> I think we can be done. That was that motion. Awesome. >> I know. >> Yes. >> So, if >> any of you are sneaking out, this would be a good transition time if

you don't want to stay. Save yourself. >> Yeah. >> Thank you for coming. >> Uh so, our next our our presentation tonight uh from Mr. is our uh second budget presentation of the year. Last month was our first one as we continue along in our budgeting process. So, uh she'll take you through where we are to this point and then opportunity for questions at the end. So, Steve, >> thank you. So, to start us off, um I always like to go through what the ballot is going to look like for folks. Um this year, we currently We have our school district budget vote and the purchase of school buses. Um for us this year that includes one full size regular school bus and three SUVs. Um those are typically for our longer runs that maybe

only have a couple students in them. Um some of the academic highlights we have planned for next year. Um I won't go through them all, but we've been continuing our work with our curriculum. We've been expanding and supporting our special education curriculum or continuum rather. Um and we've been doing a lot of career awareness across the buildings for helping our students choose a pathway and get there successfully. Um districtwide we've been continuing some of our um support such as the instructional coaching and we have a lot of mental health supports. One thing I really want to highlight is that we were fortunate enough to be awarded a 4-year grant for mental health. Um it's a million dollars a year. Some of that um will be shared with other districts. Um, but this will allow us

to be able to bring in a couple hopefully more than one uh school psychology interns into the district next year at no cost to the general fund. Um, so one of the things that has been finalized since we last spoke is our uh tax cap. So that is our allowable levy increase for the next year using a simple majority vote. For us, that's 3.2% or about $171,000. Um, this brings our levy up to about $5.4 4 million. And just for your um you know historical look of the last five completed years um we're kind of hovering around this point. We've had a couple years where we've dipped lower um but we typically have gone out with around this number. Um I always like to mention the reason that's important for us is that this number

is a compounded number. So if we do not go out to the cap one year, it lowers the amount of funding that our school has available for the next fiscal year. Um so it is important to try and make sure we're using all the resources we have available to us. Um and then of course the biggest resource that we use at Red Creek is state aid. So that brings me to our projected revenues. I am projecting at a 3.2% increase to the tax levy. That would be my recommendation. We have a very small change in our pilot. I say singular because we only have one. Um, so just updating the numbers there to be a little more accurate. Our state aid number I do want to talk about because you'll see this 2.6 million increase

and you've just heard me last month say we're not getting as much state aid increase as I would like. The reason for this increase is what we talked about last year. We had debt fall off. So we had revenue fall off and expenditure fall off. Now that the capital project has started, that debt is coming back on. And what you're seeing here on the revenue side is the building aid that we'll receive to offset those debt payments. Um slight adjustments, some miscellaneous revenue. You'll see last year we talked about that impact of the debt falling off. There was going to be about $100,000 impact to the general fund. We offset that with a one-time interfer from debt service. So they'll see that fall off in this next fiscal cycle as well. and then keeping our

use of reserves and appropriated fund balance nice and even. Um, that's what we want. We don't want to increase our reliance on those savings accounts to be able to close our budget gap. So, overall, a $2.8 $8 million increase. But just for our own minds and our ability to kind of think about what our regular expenses are doing at this time or our regular revenues are doing at this time, if I take out that building aid from that new debt, it would really only be about a 2.3% increase in overall revenues or about $570,000. And most of that is coming from Bosey's aid increases that are happening because we're spending more at Boseis. For our instructional side of the budget, we have I'll say some fairly standard uh increases that you would see from inflation

or contractual requirements. I did want to talk about the programs for students with disabilities, CTE and special schools numbers. These are programs that we get build based on enrollment. Um and sometimes that changes. So we might have a student who falls out of a higher cost program that might bring that number down. Particularly for CTE, that enrollment number is based off of last year's enrollment. So that number is fixed. Um and my little asterisk here is that Boseies has not provided me their numbers yet. Um so in conference with our counselors at the high school um they provided me the numbers of enrollment at this time so that next year's billing should be based off of those numbers. Um our Boseies has indicated that they expect to release those rates to us at the end

of this week. Um so hopefully I will have a finalized number there. Um but it should be fairly accurate. they do take a a cut off date and so in conference with our counselors I can kind of get that information on my own. Um we do have some slight adjustments but for the most part you're seeing a fairly standard increase. The employee benefits you'll see are not going up quite as much. Part of that is because um the TRS rate which is what we have for our instructional folks hasn't gone up quite so much. Um and also our participation in the buyout option from our um teaching staff. >> Can I ask you a question Daniel? Sure. The Boseies program, right? >> Yes. >> Um if I remember correctly, we had said that we get

the for Boseies the year after students go >> for CTE only. >> Okay. So they what they do is they pick a cuto off date and they say on this date Red Creek had I'll make it up 50 students and the rate per student is this and that's what I get build for next year. So what I did is ask our counselors on or about that date this year how many kids were enrolled in CTE so that I could get an estimate of what I would expect to see from our OC's. >> All right. Thank you. >> You're welcome. >> So overall for the this portion a slight increase and again just that changing enrollment and then some benefit rates um increasing as well. On the capital side we're going to talk about the debt

again. Um, but first, our operations and maintenance, you're seeing about a 9% 9.5% increase. That is by and large our utility costs. Um, so I last time I was here speaking with you, I told you that my utility bills doubled. I've since gotten another bill and that bill has doubled from the last bill. Um, so they're really wildly wildly increasing costs for the district, which is um, you know, difficult for a district that relies on state aid to fund its program. the majority of this program. Um, you're also seeing an increase in the employee benefits there. That's a function of how many folks we have that are on the Medicare plan, which had an 80% increase. Um, as well as a higher increase in the ERS rates. Um, and then again, we have our debt

service. So, in our debt service, we talked about the revenue coming in. This is the expense on the other side of it. They essentially wash each other out. Um, but it does look like a very large increase when you pull it out on its own line item. So here, overall about a $2.5 million increase. Um, but again, if I took out that debt service payment, it would be relatively flat in that line. The only increase we would really be seeing is for the most part that utility increase and the benefit increase. And then the last portion of our three-part budget is the administrative portion. Um, so we do have a slight uh decrease in the board of education. That's a result of some decisions to do some virtual conferences instead of uh going in person.

So you're seeing a drop in that rate. Um the superintendent curriculum development and supervision line includes all of our building office staff. Um so there's a few more folks in there. Um what you're seeing in that increase is contractual obligations. um you know and and then as well some positions that had been vacant last year that have since been filled. So now I have a a firmer rate for those folks. Um in this your legal services those are increasing to another $10,000 13.8%. What I'm seeing in our actual expenditures is that this number needs to be brought up. when we're getting to the end of the fiscal cycle, we're spending more in legal services um than we had traditionally budgeted. So, this is me adjusting that number upwards to be more accurate. Um personnel services,

big percent, small dollar value, that's um really just our Boseies costs. Um and then we do have one item to celebrate which is our public information and central printing. That's our PR service. So, we were finally able to make the switch to city Boseies for our PR service. um and they are able to provide that to us at a cheaper rate. So, we're seeing some savings in that line. We have that other special services line is just sort of our um admin expense from Boseis in there. So, you're seeing a little bit of change in that, but overall not not too significant. And then you're seeing this extremely large employee benefit increase, which again is because of the Medicare plan, which has gone up by 80%. So, according to the way the three-part budget is

divided, all of our retirees are reported in the administrative portion. Even if they're a retired teacher, they get put in the administrative portion. So, we have about 130 retirees on our plan right now, and the vast majority of them are on that Medicare plan that went up 80%. So, that's really what you're seeing in that shift. So, overall, 256,000, just under 10%. Um, and that brings us to how do we how do we get the thumbs up? How do we say that we have a balanced budget for the voters? So, um, by next month I will present to you a balanced budget. Um, we talk about some of the influences that are causing our expenses to go up. And one of the things I want to point out is that the CPI or the inflation

is 3.2%. If I took out that debt service on both sides of the scale, our budget would be going up 3.1%. So, we're we're controlling expenses. We're basically on track with inflation. Uh, which is good news. So, overall, as it stands right now, I have about $27.8 million in revenue and about $28 million in expense for a gap of 156,000. Now, there is some good news tonight, which I'm very happy to be able to give you uh tentatively, which is both sides of the legislature have proposed a 2% increase to foundation aid instead of a 1% increase. If that comes through for us, that would represent an additional $130,000ish of revenue, which will mostly close this gap for us. Um so, we'll keep our eyes out for that. uh once we get the final word

from the state, if that 2% comes through, this becomes very easy for us to close. Um and we are hopeful from what we're hearing at the state level that we will see that shortly. Um and then of course the next things we have on the calendar here, we do have a budget workshop scheduled. Um and then after that, the next meeting would be when I would present the final budget for adoption. Are there any questions? So, I would say um just for the board to consider that uh for a potential $20,000 gap is much happier than our last conversation that I would um looking to potentially not make any sort of dramatic cuts. I would think that maybe the workshop would not be necessary. Um unless someone thinks it should, but I think that this

is much much better than where we started off at the beginning of this season. So will we know before? >> So depending on the state. >> Yes. So it depends on if they they approve a budget prior to when we have to get one approved. Um in the last couple of years they have been late but they have been late because the governor has been late. So this time the governor was on time. I'm hopeful that we'll see that news um in advance of of our deadline for that. >> It it should be around that time. It's just out of our control. Uh when we get a finalized budget from from the governor. >> Well, I'm just thinking if we don't have it by then, we still meet and discuss and then a tenative just

in case it doesn't go through. >> Um I was even happy with 150 from where you started. But um do you already have a potential plan to close that gap? We have talked about some options, but we haven't um I would say that the possibility is strong that the funding comes through. So, we really haven't delved too far into what that gap looks like. Um I would say in the grand scheme of the overall budget, that's a very very small gap to close. Still at the 156 is not um you know, it's not the million that we were talking about a year ago. >> Danielle, is this budget I know in the you've like given us some padding, a little bit of wiggle room. Um, is this the same thing that we might not actually

go up to the 28,000 and you're being generous? >> So, that's always um conservative budgeting practices. So, there is always a little bit of flexibility in the budget because we may have a special education student who comes in and needs a $100,000 placement. Um, we're always hopeful that we'll end the year with surplus because that's how we add back into our savings account and especially because we're using 7 $150,000 of fund balance to close our budget. Ideally, I want to end the year with at least $750,000 so that I can repay my savings account and I don't erode that fund balance for us. I think you explained it very well. >> I don't I wouldn't see why we would need a budget workshop on the based on 156,000 my thoughts. I mean, we could still

be brought up to speed on where we are in case something is very dramatic changing in the other direction. >> Well, if you're looking at me, I'm fine with that. Fine. I'm gonna go with whatever Nancy says. >> Any other thoughts on that or we agreement on that? I agree. >> I would say if something goes terribly wrong and we don't get it, we can always postpone. >> We can always reset a date, but >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> It's not something we're required to have. Um so we'd still be in compliance without it. Just a great job. So, good reason not to have to have to talk about it. >> Also, Danielle, thank you because that was much um more uplifting. So, >> you're so welcome. I love to have positives, you know,

distracting from the numbers that the thumbs up. >> Yeah, that's Mr. Norman, if you want to keep going. >> Yes. Uh absolutely. 23 MVP nominations this month. Uh we'll start distributing those uh tomorrow. Uh a few highlights uh here. Uh Miss Gelotti, our middle school art teacher. M uh and the the variance this time around is this one was uh identified from a student. Uh so the student had uh selected Miss Gelotti. Miss Gelotti is always there when you need her or just someone to talk to. She cares for her students as her own. She is loving and caring person and brings happiness to your day when you need it most. Mr. Hawkins is a technology teacher for us. Driver's education. This came from a parent parent nomination. Uh this teacher has gone above and

beyond for his students. Even if it's just to make a joke, to make them smile and get out of a funk. I can say he has personally helped my daughter feel better so many times when she was not so good. We definitely need more teachers with his upbeat attitude and resilience. Uh and the third one is uh Virginia Slobe nominated by a co-orker. So we have a student, a parent, and a co-orker uh nomination. We are fortunate, we are so fortunate to have Jenny working in our elementary school this year. She uses a creative approach to working with many of our students who may struggle to show what they know on conventional assessments. She goes above and beyond to find ways to squeeze in extra learning opportunities for all students. So, uh kind of a

nice uh spread of the impact that our staff can have on a daily day-to-day basis with our students. So, um congratulations to our uh to this month's MVP uh recipients. >> Thank you. Okay. Uh we'll move on to uh D the minutes of the meeting from February 25th. Could I have a motion please? Mrs. Allen and a second by Mrs. Digman. Any corrections, questions? All in favor? >> Any oppose? >> Any abstensions? Okay, moving on. Financial reports. >> Make a motion T one through five. >> Thank you. Could I have a second, please? Mrs. Kaiser, questions on this group. Mrs. Kaiser, >> yes. >> Mrs. Folds, >> yes. >> Mrs. Damon, >> yes. >> Mrs. Decker, >> yes. >> Mr. Joyce, >> yes. >> Mrs. Al, >> and Mrs. Madigan, >> yes. Thank you. >>

All right, moving on to the consent agenda. >> I have a motion for F through five excluding three. >> Okay, I'll take that a second, please. This is Kaiser. It's going to be F1, F2, F4, and F5. >> Sorry, >> Kaiser. >> Thank you. >> Welcome. Any questions on this group? >> You're right. Mrs. Decker, >> yes. >> Mr. Joyce, >> yes. >> Mrs. Dingman, >> yes. >> Mrs. Kaiser, >> yes. >> Mrs. Allen, >> yes. >> Mrs. F. >> Yes. >> And Mrs. again. >> Yes. Thank you. >> I have a motion for F3, please. >> Motion for F3. >> Thank you. >> No, nobody wants a motion. >> I have a second, please. Thank you, Mrs. Kaiser. I'm aware that we probably don't have many people in the room that could speak to

this retirement. >> Yeah. again, right? As we've talked over the last couple of months, uh this is kind of the season uh for these um and unfortunately Mr. Droer is is the next one that has tendered his resignation and uh true to Mr. D. Roer and and how he carries himself as a professional right up until the end doing everything he can uh for the betterment of our school and community. But I'll turn it over to Mr. Gaffne just for a a quick recognition as well. So >> thank you for the opportunity to speak um about Mr. D. Roer. What do you say to begin with? What words can be spoken about a colleague who has devoted so much of his time and energy to the students of Red Creek? How many years of service?

03540. >> Yeah. Started 198. You should be so lucky. Um the only word I can think of which I feel is not enough is thank you. Thank you for placing students first. Thank you. for believing every student has a purpose and a place in our home called Red Creek. Thank you for the enormous amount of time, energy, and effort you have dedicated to all the programs you have created and implemented for Red Creek students. Thank you for going above and beyond on a daily basis. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to work alongside a caring and compassionate individual. I've learned much from you. We get busy in our daily and fastm moving lives and we sometimes forget to stop and recognize and applaud the important work that we do. I wanted to let Mr.

D Rosha know that your efforts, dedication, and your commitment to our school and our students has not gone unnoticed ever. I could go on all night, but there isn't enough space on the page to describe the positive impact Mr. D. Roer has had on our students, staff, families, and community to even come close to justice. I wish you well in your retirement and all of your future endeavors. Thank you sincerely for everything you have given to this school, and I wish you nothing but the best. Thank you, Mr. >> D. >> I just want to remind the board that even if you vote no, he can still retire. Please keep that in mind. What if we all Aiden can get a vote on this? >> When you're ready, >> Mrs. F. Mrs. Allen, >> Mrs.

Kaiser, >> yes. We have to say Mrs. Damon, >> yes. >> Mr. Joyce, >> yes. >> Mrs. Stacker, >> yes. >> And Mrs. Madigan, >> yes. >> Wish Mr. He was here. >> He was here. He's probably in his pajamas watching. >> Okay. Thank you very much. Uh, we're going to move on to new business. Um, take a motion for something. >> I'll make a motion G1 through five. >> I'll take that motion in a second. This folds questions. >> I have a question about the calendar. Um, so this is based off of Bose's calendar, right? Like >> So this is uh it's a great question. This is based uh relatively based off of the Wayne Fingerlakes >> okay >> Bosey's calendar other Boseies may have different calendars okay >> uh but that it's important

for us uh to consider the Wayne Fingerlakes Bosey's calendar because so many of our CTE and special program students often attend our Wayne Fingerlakes Boseies programs so when we don't align our calendar with the Wayne Fingerlakes calendar. The students in those out of district program CTE included may may lose um instructional days depending on what those calendars might look like. >> Got it. I'm just guessing at her question, but will our spring break here eventually end up in February or >> So, my understanding I asked several questions. Um, >> not that any of these students are going to care because they're graduating, but >> yes, I asked several questions uh with regards specifically to spring break. Um, the answers that I were given was that spring break for the region historically includes Good Friday, which

next year happens to be uh Friday, March 26th. Uh, so that that's kind of the where it gets based off of next the following year. uh March of 28 or spring of 28. I believe Good Friday to be in April, not in March. March is a little early. >> I don't think we should be tied to what other districts have in their collective bargaining agreement. I personally think to have spring break in March to leave April, May, and June is a long time for students and teachers without a break. Well, not just that going literally four week like as a teacher you have a week off and then you have four weeks and then you have another week off. I mean coming off Christmas, right? Like it's just and we talk about asking the teachers

union if they agree that they can come back before for those staff development days ahead of Labor Day. Um, but do we take into consideration what this the staff is looking for as far as I mean I I understand you know the instructional time um it's just this calendar is not ideal to an educator >> or to students really that's a stretch >> is there an opportunity for those students that would be potentially missing two weeks in Boseies is there any option for them >> well you could still if season is off those students if we had a different spring break you could still offer students to attend during that time. So there >> there have been historic in my 24 years here there have been a couple instances where Red Creek did not follow

the Wayne Fingerlakes PC's calendar uh specifically around spring break and uh we so for instance right the spring break that's proposed is is towards the end of March maybe somebody else's spring break is in the middle of April for instance uh if you know if we did something like that we have historically offered our students the opportunity to give their spring break up and to attend to Boseies in that week of April when Boseies is still in session and we are on spring break we would transport those students to Boseies but instruction does not stop at Boseies during that week. So if students or families had vacation obligations or just uh were not willing to to come to school for that week or just to boseis, they would they would miss instruction. Uh and some

of the programs have minutes and time requirements. So there would be some logistical considerations for those families um as well. But >> have we heard feedback from the teachers union or staff about this calendar? >> Uh I I shared it with the with the teachers association with the the presidents of all the associations um CSEA teachers and and of course the administration. Um it's not contractually negotiated. Um but we navigated the the pros and cons. We we had a good discussion uh specifically with the teachers uh around that and and kind of and certainly at the administrative level where we laid our head was um in regard to trying to maximize student programming opportunity. So, we didn't want to force families to have to make a decision to choose to either go on family break

or to continue their CTE. I don't think that's I think that's a very challenging ask for for certain families um and not asking that of other families um that might not be in a CTE program. They wouldn't have to make that choice. You also have some athletic considerations when you don't align with the Wayne Fingerlakes schedule because our athletic programs are built around the Wayne Fingerlakes as well. So, typically in March, it's less likely to have game interruptions when you have spring break. If you have spring break in the middle of March or April rather, uh you're likely in involved in games that um you know we can play over spring break. But if if we have kids that are on different spring break than everybody else and our families leave, that would really compact

a often tumultuous uh spring break or spring sports schedule. Anyway, those are not hurdles that can't be overcome. They're just considerations. >> Okay. I know I've heard concerns from parents and staff this year and then I saw this calendar and I was like, "Oh my gosh, it's even earlier next year." >> So, I hear both sides. I trust your judgment, but it's like I think it's painful for a lot of people to keep seeing it be earlier and earlier. If there was a way to, you know, maybe move February break to May. I don't know. No, I'm done. That was we can't do that. But I don't know. It's that's a long time for everybody. >> I I uh it it clearly went nowhere, but I have voiced my concern for two years over certainly

the placement of of that. There's been other years where we just we just recognized Good Friday as as a uh some of our contracts have Good Friday listed as a holiday and then spring break just falls wherever spring break falls. >> That's where I'm confused. Why? Why is it necessary to to link this break to spring Friday? >> It's not >> we don't have to because of the calendar you have to hit hit so many days. >> You have to squeeze them in some, >> right? >> So when you have Good Friday that other schools are required to have off, that's one day. When you add on another spring break, it's another five days. >> So now it's six days off instead of five days off. >> It's a tight year. So that's >> so

you're at the mercy of what others are doing as well. >> Can we write a letter to Boseies and ask them to stop doing this? >> Well, we don't have any numbers yet, so it seemed like our last letter really hit home. >> Maybe somebody else wants to run for the Boseies board and >> nominate. No, already said she will not. This is enough. But okay, >> I would support you in that one. >> I think um right what what you would see reflected in this calendar uh I I I hear the concerns. I share some of those same concerns and I think what you would see reflected in here um in April and May are two um minor adjustments that have been included this coming year uh as half days around um providing professional

development for for faculty um >> on Thursdays. So we try to stay we try to remain consistent throughout the year uh with with regard to uh one day of the week and so most of those >> as many of them as as practicable uh for for consistency purposes with families and planning >> half days aren't easy for anybody. They're not >> other questions questions on any of G1 through five. >> Mrs. Alen, >> yes. >> Mrs. Damon, >> yes. >> Mrs. Decker, >> yes. >> Mrs. Fo, >> yes. >> Mrs. Kaiser, >> yes. Mr. Joyce. >> Yes. >> And Mrs. Madigan. >> Yes. Thank you. Okay. Uh, correspondents. Any questions on administrative reports? Aiden, thank you for your submission. Always appreciate. >> Personal suggestion. You're going to want to put like a picture of a

little boy with a cowboy hat on your next one. I think Aiden should be in the cowboy hat. Okay, Mr. Herman, do you want to >> Yes, thank you. Uh, monthly enrollment. I had shared in my uh weekly transmitt that we did see a a an uptick in enrollment truly for the first time this entire calendar year uh or school year rather. So, uh, and that's does not include several other outstanding, um, student registration packets that I've signed since, excuse me, maybe three or four on top of that number. So, uh, there's a potential we may see another, uh, month in the black instead of the red on that. So, um maybe more of a studying of the ship and and uh but what I wanted to really focus my attention on uh I wanted

to share of course some some photos of our uh capital project work specific to the to the community center pool area. What you'll see in the first picture is some of our air handling uh ventilation system. That's a an upgraded system that that big pipe with the blue uh caps on it right now. Um those have been expanded. Uh underneath that or next to that depending on what you're looking at uh is represents a water fill test within our pool. So, we demoed all the tile and uh under systems of our pool, laid a waterproofing membrane down, and then we have to fill the pool completely to test for leaks. So, that's what that looks like. Uh when we test successful completion of the water fill test after 72 hours, now we're able to drain

that. Then we can begin the tile work and then ultimately refill um that pool for for final um you see what it looks like demoed of course without water in it. And then the last picture uh there's been some ongoing ceiling and lighting work in our high school spaces classrooms uh throughout the course of the year. So uh many of our classrooms had lights that hung down below the the tile and grid work. Now they're all uh updated lighting, upgraded uh grid and tile work. So um in addition on our capital project, uh our parking lot phase one work uh remember a vast majority of our entire parking lot asphalt areas will begin uh we'll be getting as part of this project be getting an overhaul including some traffic flow updates at the you know

by the conclusion of these. So, step one, phase one of our parking lot upgrades will begin to take place over spring break. Communication will go out to families with maps and directions and things starting next week. Uh, the two biggest areas that are going to be impacted are going to be a majority of what I would consider the main parking lot at the high school entrance, the big um that big area. And then to the right of the stop sign, kind of in that half moon on your way to the student dropoff circle at the high school. That area is the first phase, uh they're going to start doing some mill work over spring break. We'll have some access for through traffic, uh so we can still park behind it and those kind of things.

Uh that work is all expected to be completed by late spring before graduation which will give us some logistical moves when we do the other spaces. You take one out, you can't park there, then you do another space and you can park there. So, so that'll be coming out. We'll share some maps and directions next week with families. Um the ele elementary classrooms. I have no pictures of these. Uh but in the last couple of weeks, we have begun the process of of relocating nine elementary classrooms. The scope of the work includes 26 total elementary classrooms getting basically a full job this summer. to ease the burden and to hit the timelines more easily, we have um endeavored to have nine of those classrooms start early. Um so that reduces the summer work from 26

classrooms down to 17. Just makes it a little easier, but of course there's a disruption inconvenience to our staff and students at the elementary school. Uh so big shout out to uh Mr. Taylor and Mrs. Smith who have been working diligently with us and the teachers uh on what those logistics look like and what the impact is. There's an impact. It's a disruption. Uh but the end goal is by September we have 26 brand new classrooms and they're ready to kind of uh kick off that school year. So um I'm going to come back to the community center real quick. Um, we were notified that there are two um, problem areas, what I would call that were unexpected problem areas until we began demo. So, just like in any other construction project at your house,

oh gez, we didn't expect to see mold when we ripped the floor out kind of a thing. So, two areas when we did the fill test in the hot tub in the spa, there were leaks. Um, so we have to address the leaks uh which are coming from some of the pipes and the skimming baskets in the hot tub area. So thankfully the pool didn't have any leaks. That's just a much bigger volume of water of course. Um so we are in the process of preparing for those repairs. And then um in addition the drain t uh in the floor tiles around the pool uh on the walking areas there's a perimeter drain system uh has some some damage and it uh eroded deteriorated over 20 years of of pool water. So um that needs

to be repaired as well. Um both of these things there's some impact on the reopening schedule. Uh we're working with the architects and construction team tomorrow. Um u meeting with the community center advisory board. We're going to do a walk through and go through some of those details as well and what what the impact is. You know, our goal of course to get it opened as quickly as possible, but we need to do the work the right way. So when we discover these uh unexpected uh problems, we need to fix them. So we're we're working through those. Uh we have allowances in our capital project budget. So there's not like we build that in as a contingency, right? Uh so the these fixes are not significant enough to to exceed those allowances. So we're we're

in a good good spot with those. Um, so projects, uh, questions on the project. >> Do you have an estimate of when you think the pool will be done? Think that's the community's big question on it. >> Yeah. Uh, no, not yet. Uh, unfortunately, no. Just with a lot of moving parts, contractors, uh, scope of work, when can we get it scheduled? Some of these people might be on other jobs and other school sites. We got to bring them in. Those kind of things. So, uh, we're going as fast as we can with it. I can tell you we are we are pushing them from the district perspective. It's a priority for us to open that pool. It's a community value. We have programming both for school and and summer community programs that that our

expectation is to run. So, um, lastly, I'd shared, um, both last week and then today in in in your packets a little bit, uh, Danielle mentioned it earlier today, this energy issue. Um, you know, the these energy rates costs are are skyrocketing. You folks see it in your house, uh, in your home budgets. Uh, and we're seeing the same things. I uh penned a letter to uh I think I counted 13 elected officials locally that that I sent uh a copy of that letter to. I've gotten an outstanding favor outstandingly favorable response from many of them. I have meetings set up with many of them as follow-ups as a way to partner with some of our elected officials uh to discuss next steps. What what can we do to help them? What can they do

to help us? Um it's it's clear to me that it's a state issue, not a national issue. Um you know, no other states in the nation are kind of facing the significant energy increases that we're seeing. Uh we're aware that it's not a usage issue, it's a rate issue. Uh so for instance, for us, our normal rate last year for kilowatt hours was 8 cents a kilowatt hour. Right now it's over 26 cents a kilowatt hour. So call it about four times higher uh on average. Of course, that has a financial impact on us. So, so trying to get active and um spread the word, ask for assistance. Um, you know, this is, uh, you know, has to have some ties to the electrification efforts at New York State, uh, that that New York State

is driving through mandates, uh, for schools. Electrification of buses. Uh, you know, for instance, uh, an EV bus is about $150,000 more expensive than a comparable diesel-powered bus. Um uh so as Danielle presented today, the bus proposal that we're putting forward will be a a diesel powered bus, fuel powered bus, not an EV bus. But you know, again, it's it's it's important to remember when when we get these electrification mandates, our community is getting hit not only on rate increases, not only on these underfunded or unfunded mandates, uh like an increase on a bus, right? So now we have to find an additional $150,000 for every one of our buses every eight years. Uh and then we also have infrastructure updates. So we know that like our bus garage is not outfitted with the appropriate

electrical infrastructure, nor is the grid in our area. So those costs for upgrades are also passed on to our community. So our community with these kind of mandates gets hit, you know, in three to five different different ways. Uh so trying to spread some awareness, get some support with our elected officials, attacking it from a number of different ways. Um it's gaining it's gained a lot of support. Um you know, we're looking at ways to kind of control cost just like you folks are in your house. Uh sometimes at the sacrifice of comfort and and leisure. Um, hopefully more to come on this. Hopefully some some relief. I don't know what that might look like. Uh, Senator Helming is is is bang the strum as well. So, I'm meeting with her and um some of

our other local elected officials, even if it's just to share our template letter and to drum up more um political support as as they go through their election cycles as well. So, um, questions on energy efforts, usage, impact. >> Thank you for writing those letters. >> Uh, that's that's what I have. >> Okay, great. Thank you. Okay, we're going to move on to uh Jay. Um, if you guys could grab out your copy of the um on boarding document. We're going to go through that one first. So at the last meeting we had decided that >> it was I'm assuming your computer doesn't work >> now. Um so I know Mrs. Fols has to step out. Um so we'll try to get moving here. Um, so what we agreed on at the last meeting was

um March uh are you are you getting do you know? >> So it was emailed to us. >> Yeah. >> No, not today. It's from if you go into >> the silent room. >> Yep. >> And then it's live. So if you just click on it, you'll see everything. >> All right. um any changes or additions, questions uh needed to be added uh by the 14th and then am I right on that date? Okay. So, and then we would go through it. So, um if you're looking at the um the live version, you'll see that the items that were potential um grammatical corrections or clarifications, they have a a resolve check by them. Thank you to Miss Osborne who took care of a lot of that. Um there's a couple that um I'd said that

we would pull out if there were questions or discussion amongst the board that was really more of a board discussion. So um those are going to be the items that are not resolved on the sides um for the comments. If I've missed something or or there's a question about it, let me know. Um see, hold on because now I'm sharing so I got to work with Mrs. guys are here. >> I'm not doing anything. So, >> that's okay. >> You can vote that way if you need me. Appreciate your honesty. Uh, let's see here. Okay. Um, this is not as easy to read as I thought it was going to be. >> Um, nope. I'm just going to grab my computer. Unless the first unresolved one is um second number two, second bullet we add

on to this. present that helps you find it. >> It doesn't. So, if you want to read it though, Mrs. Allen, that would be great. While I pull this up, >> sure. So, it would be under number 11, which is communication guidelines etiquette. Um, so number two, communication with the public. The second bullet, could we add on to this? Maybe saying the president will respond to community emails on behalf of the board as necessary and appropriate after discussing with board members. because that is our typical process. Now, I'm sorry. I don't mean to speak up. Hear me out. >> You're not. It was no. >> Okay. So, >> that no one else made that comment or said anything else to it. So, that's why I pulled it out and it's not resolved because there wasn't

um you know, there's seven of us that it was one comment. So, I just need some feedback on whether that's necessary. Um, does it need to be a change that Oh, now I see the arrows. >> So, I think some clarity on our conversation last meeting >> as far as the process for this. So, I think I understood it that if I saw a comment, was I supposed to have liked that so that it counted as two votes to enact that recommendation? >> No, you didn't need to. Just no one else No one else did anything with it. So, I it wasn't a I wouldn't say that it was a um was a majority. That was my only concern. So, I guess I just we just need some feedback. If this is something that needs

to be changed, well, correct me if I'm wrong, but if somebody emails the board, the board president responds, I thank you for reaching out like the blanket one. >> Correct. >> So, we don't discuss that. That auto like you automatically send that out. >> Yes. I think one thing to keep in mind as we're going through this um this is meant to be not high level but it's it doesn't have to be I don't think we need to kill ourselves getting crazy about some of the the littleer and I'm not saying it's a little detail but I think this gets the point across in terms of the board of education president response and I think that's the message we want to get across to the fact that they're kind of speaking on our behalf. So

I just folks to keep that in mind as we're looking through this. It does not have to be I know that you're very studious, Elizabeth and you are as well, but I guarantee you that majority of our new members are not, you know, so I just want to say that before we spend like a ton of time getting super in the weeds. >> I think that's subject like I think that probably I would agree but sometimes I would say it depends on the topic like we probably need to go more granular at times and maybe other times not. But I guess like what I'm wondering is so the the real question is about after discussing with the board members, right? Like that's the difference between the two >> the distinguishing part of the >> Yeah,

that was the distinguishing part. So I guess yeah, I don't think we have typically discussed it as a board if an email comes in unless like something develops and we need to have a further discussion. But typically it's Kate just answering, right? Yes, >> I mean there have been times that we've had things that have been printed out and presented to us to >> still responding regardless like the thank you for contacting >> and then we'll discuss it after, but the blanket thank you >> is still being sent out regardless. >> I think when we put this in there, this was more targeted towards the acknowledgement piece of it and not necessarily the stops after receiving something that needed a response. So maybe we're we're looking at this from two different ways. Um I think

it would be really challenging to go um deeper on every specific situation because there could potentially be so many. Is there documentation sent to the board that's provided by the board president? Is there um documentation provided by the superintendent? Is it provided ahead of a meeting? Is it discussed in executive session? I think there's there's probably a lot of different um options if you are to go deeper than the the surface acknowledgement email. >> I think that's fine for this one. >> Yeah, I just put it in as a suggestion because I know in the past we've discussed it before we responded. >> Okay. Thank you. Um, the next one is number 14 goals for current year. >> I have my heroes now because I've Amanda's very extensive letter that I obviously didn't pick up

on the first time. >> Um, okay. So, um, this is just asking to insert the board the board goals, but won't the board goals change? I mean, if this is going to be a running document, the score goals could change every year. So, >> right. So, we'll be updating this at the beginning of every year, >> which seems right because we're adding I don't remember what section it is, but we're adding the current year board numbers and their contact information. So, it's going to be touched anyway. And then there might be more than that. That just is what comes to my mind as to what would need to be updated. You could also just include a hyperlink >> to the website. >> Yep. >> Which would then refer them back to the four goals which

get updated on the website. >> So Stephanie, for reference, when I made the comment, it just said four goals for the current year and then there was nothing under it. So I I was mostly saying like either pull this out or insert something so it's not just a blank heading. >> So I'm okay with either if we want to put the board goals in every year or if we want it put the link. >> Okay. Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but, uh, if you go over to 16, um, uh, it's basically the both the board self evaluation and then there's also one for the superintendent evaluation. The comment is in there is could we make it a fillable form or could we post the link? I do not think that is a good idea

because that could potentially change every year. So, the evaluation process is something that's agreed upon by the board and the superintendent. You could list the possibilities or list it as an example, but I don't I think by leaving it in there, you're you're putting the cart before the horse there. So, um it doesn't have to be in there. it could be removed but I think because um you know we've been using >> NISBA >> uh for the last several years but we could go back to super eval and then that document would be invalid. >> I would agree with that. So maybe just take it out and as as a whole number 16 >> so no you wouldn't want anything listed for the evaluation process. No, because I would agree with your comment that it

could be dynamic and we don't know what we're using until we decide on it. >> Okay. So, we don't anything listed at all though. >> What would we list if not the evaluation? >> Well, we could have the >> um we could put the contract. We could also put the the the examples of what's been used. >> Um >> that sounds okay, too. >> Or even maybe just like to combine them and say you're going to receive information and instructions on how to complete these just so that they know that it's something that >> agreed upon every year or something. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Again, this was just something that like the heading was there and there was nothing underneath it. >> Okay. Um not to pick on you, Elizabeth, but number 17, I

wasn't necessarily sure what your question was. >> It just says superintendent goals for the current year and then none of them were listed. >> So, it's just like a blank topic again. either take it out or fill it in. But >> yeah, so just so you know, when we started this, none of that was done. So that's part of the reason why it was blank because there wasn't really anything to fill in yet. So that was just more of >> fill it in. >> So I was just putting in all the things that I saw that were >> needing to be done. So >> no problem. I can do it. >> Okay. Any other questions on that before we moved to the handbook? Um 18 was also a comment or no one. >> Yeah. >>

And 19 there's a question there. Like there's not a comment on the right column, but there's a question. Do we want to do this? >> Looks like maybe Stephanie put a question in there when she was typing it up. >> I'm gonna say no. >> Yeah, I would take that right out. >> Yeah, I would. >> Anybody? A yes. I think we >> don't have enough to do. Okay. U moving on to the handbook. Okay. So, um the first section in there that's high well that I highlighted afterwards or Amanda highlighted afterwards uh the history and demographics. We actually talked about this way back when we started this process um that we thought it would be a nice addition um because uh of the example that we used. Um, my only suggestion from that is

maybe this is something for Mr. Venorman. Maybe you want to pull it from some other documentation and stick it in there or we could pull it out, but we never really established anything to go in there. >> Why recreate something if it already exists somewhere that can just be pulled and inserted >> because it was from the Senica Falls? >> No. I mean, but doesn't our demographic of the student body community that exist somewhere? I feel like I've seen that before. >> I just didn't have it. So, I'm not saying that we couldn't pull it from somewhere else. I just didn't know if we still wanted to put it in there if you guys just want to cut it completely. >> I feel like the history and background could be fun to have in here

for like but I don't think it's necessary either. Like I don't want to add things to Mr. Man's plate that are unnecessary. >> So, I would say >> I love history. >> If we have it somewhere, I say throw it in. Maybe like put one of pictures. But if it's going to be more than like a 15inute project, I would not spend too much time. It will not be >> I agree. >> You seem confident that you can get that done in 15 minutes or less. >> I believe we have you know the inner workings of that exist. So >> okay, next question. Uh that wasn't resolved. If you move under new board member uh orientation, the comment or question was made. Did we want to say something about the assignment of a mentor? So

a veteran board member to a new board member. >> So if it's highlighted in yellow, does that mean it was after this comment was made >> or at all? >> No, it's highlighted in yellow because when Amanda and I went through it, it was just the trigger >> to call. Yeah, exactly. >> Got it. >> I'm sorry, K. I think we missed one. >> And we go back to achieve these high standards of education, we rely on the following core values. Are those actually our core values? >> We pulled those from the website. >> We did. >> Okay. >> Pretend I didn't ask that question then. >> Okay. >> I knew that. So, are we adding the mentoring that we've done? Are we not? Is that going to be not an every year thing? >>

I think it is an every year thing, isn't it for new members? >> Well, it has been with this with this particular board. >> I I think it's okay to leave. If we're going to be looking at this every year, then if there's ever a time where it needs to be pulled, then pulled. But it's what we again like thinking about this is the current process and we're building this from the current process. >> Everybody okay with that? >> What did we just tell? >> You'll see it when it's done. >> To keep it in to keep it in. >> I'm getting in the mentor please. Okay. Because you're probably looking on the website to see if you can find me more values. I swear they're there. >> Do these not match? >> Um, they

match now. So, um, no, actually this is this is Mrs. Decker's question is the next one that's on new member new member orientation. I did not understand what you were trying to say. >> I think the resource the onboarding resource that we developed had different things that would be included in the new member orientation. So just some inconsistencies like there was nothing on either of them that I wanted pulled out or anything. It they just don't line up with each other as far as like what the orientation topics will be. >> What number is in the um >> sorry the section that says so orientation What are you comparing it to in the onboarding? >> Okay. I think it was number one that I was looking at the >> checklist. Want me to ask again?

>> Do we even need to say what new member orientation topics will like? >> Or can we just say new new member orientation? >> New members will receive an orientation. We >> That's fine. Would that work and eliminate your >> So that would need to remove one through that list. >> Yeah, I mean >> you could just say may include and then Yeah, that's good too. You know, because throughout the year >> because you might want to go back and refer to >> meeting right away to talk about the development process, but >> but throughout the year you're gonna you're going to get that. >> Okay. >> You change it to may include instead of to include. >> Yeah. >> And each person may have a unique background. So >> Okay. Um the next one

is under board of education responsibilities and expectations. >> Okay. that. >> Well, Kim, is this your comment? >> Um, it is, but I'm just trying to refresh myself. >> Okay. >> So, I think what I meant is that the next paragraph right underneath that it's mentioned again. So, it's just redundant. >> So, you wanted the board's core >> core responsibility. >> So, you wanted to remove that paragraph. I think so because then the heading of the next section is what the responsibilities are. Okay. >> So it just seemed to make sense to remove that. >> Okay. >> Along with that I think that all of the typos and we went through it again were corrected. So >> um >> Okay. >> Double check. I'm trusting you. >> No. Well, I mean and it'll be it'll

be up. So if you see something, you know, just mention it. Um the next The next comment um refers to the secure portal. Um Elizabeth is your is your that was your comment, right? The secure portal is the is board docs. >> Okay. I just didn't know if we wanted to specify >> well they would be finding this information. >> We just we left it generic because we haven't always used board docs. So then it doesn't necessarily have to go in and be corrected if we were to use it. >> It's going to change, right? isn't going to change the news. >> So, so is that okay to leave? Okay. All right. And then, um, if you move over to committee assignments, that's going to be the next one. I'm going to need a little

bit of help with this one, too. So, um, Elizabeth, you had made the comment about that's not actually what happens. And again, it might be just the way that it's read because um in my opinion, that is the way that we do it. So the the committee member would give a report to the board president to be dispersed with the agenda and the other items that come with the the packet. >> Are we under committee assignments? >> Yes. I'm sorry. >> Um I think what I was referring to was typically the president doesn't appoint board members to the committees. We like self appoint or for them. So, I think that's all I was saying is that we should align with our policy for that. >> But there's not a policy though. A policy states that

we volunteer. >> It doesn't state either way. >> I'm not familiar with what the policy says. I feel like that's nicking on the language like appoint volunteer like we're appointing ourselves if we're volunteering. >> I think it was again reading differences possibly but typically at the end of that section of the reorg meeting the board president says so finance is going to be Nancy Elizabeth and Chris. I don't necessarily know if that means the same thing as saying Mrs. Decker you have to be on the finance committee. Um, but again, it might just be a semantics of how we're reading it. >> Um, if if we need to change it, we need to change it >> specifically for the board because there's a policy on district committees. Maybe it's the word point where it it

gives it gives the illusion that like like you just said like you are you're saying this person is on this committee, this person's on this committee, but really that's not not the process. So maybe it's just the word of point that is tripping tripping up a little bit. >> Like I think if we assign Stephanie Kaiser to the policy committee with one other person, she would just click. So >> um I think >> it's a good one. >> I will I will say though, if there was um not every board works like we do, so it could be an appointment if we couldn't make a decision. And I think that's why it says appoint. >> Okay. um >> kind of like we appointed all of us to the policy. >> Correct. Even though on it

that's why I use that example. >> It's working out so well. >> I'm okay with leave it like it's just I'm comfortable. >> I don't care. >> Are we okay to leave it as is? >> Can we all right with that? >> Yep. Either way. >> Okay. All right. So, um, we're going to move on to, uh, vice president responsibilities. So, um, if you want to, we can take these two chunks together because they were kind of the heaviest for questions. Um, and some back and forth comments between, um, clerk responsibilities and the vice president responsibilities. So again, there were some really um kind of vague comments on here. So I just need some clarification on what we want to do moving forward. Um because it wasn't just wasn't very simple to kind of come

up with. >> Um okay, so first I have to correct myself because I actually just pulled up the policy and it does say that the board president will appoint to committees. So that was my bad. It's okay. Correct myself. >> Um 1320. Um, and so the same policy is what the vice president role uh is under. So Amanda actually copied what our policy says, which basically is if the president is absent or has a disability, the vice president will step into that role. >> Is that any time then? So, I guess this what we have here, I'm assuming is what was in the Senica Falls handbook, which like I'm assuming Stephanie doesn't participate in the agenda development and review meetings with the superintendent and board president. Like, I don't think that our vice president actively

does these things. So, my suggestion was to basically copy and past, >> correct me if I'm wrong, but the bullet point is that they would assume duties of the president in cases of absence. All of those numbers are things that the vice president would then have to do, >> right? I guess my suggestion was we should just line it up with what our policy says, which is basically what the bullet point says is you're going to do all the things that the president does if the president is unavailable. >> So that's what it says, but then the the numbers are listed the duties. >> Yeah. So one through seven doesn't match what our policy. >> So So I think that the thought process is like just make it match or or take out one through

seven and just keep the bullet there >> and then just say see policy >> I feel like just take it out then >> 1320. >> Does that work for everybody if we just say refer to the policy? >> Yes. 1320. >> Okay. Okay. So then I would say this >> the number 1320. It's It's actually already written in another lovely color from Miss Osborne. >> Um, >> so I'm gonna ask the same question about the board clerk. >> Same thing. >> Pull it all >> and just say refer to policy. Do we have board clerk responsibilities in a policy somewhere? >> 1331 >> right in green. >> Yep. >> Is that new, Amanda? No. >> Nope. >> Um, so this actually does >> actually went over it last year. >> No, no, no, no, no.

I mean, is this section in >> No, she had actually already done this. >> Yeah. >> But so this actually does follow the policy. >> So it's listed exactly. It's just a >> copy policy. >> See then we'll be consistent. >> Y. >> Okay. >> All right. Next page. All of you in the audience, we're almost done. >> Two more arrows. Okay. So, if we go over to um professional development >> I don't committees because I'm showing the last comment >> there was a so >> these are resolved like this >> there's no comment >> perfect committees >> it says at the bottom though add info on how to request funing for training your reinforcement policies. >> Yeah. Well, there's no comment, so just skip over there. Okay. >> Um Okay, Mrs. Deck. So, I

don't care if we leave this in. I just know that we got away from doing verbal reports in board meetings and or did we not? So, >> or am I misremember? >> No, no, no. It's fine. So, this is going to be the same type of thing though. The only It still is a verbal report. it still would be discussed at the board meeting. The only thing that's different is is just that it's it's um given ahead of time like an administrative report. So it still should be discussed in public when there's something to discuss. We just kind of added in that additional layer. >> Perfect. >> So is that okay to leave then? >> Yes. >> Okay. I'm looking for my Kyler comment and it's not there. So >> put in Kyler Elementary. it

doesn't show as being resolved like it's not it's not even there at all. So I'm not I don't remember where it was but >> it was in the list of presentations. >> Um I know Folds isn't here but I want to thank Folds and Kate and Amanda because I know that this was like a monumental task to get through. So I appreciate all of the >> it's a group effort. So um I will give the corrections to Amanda. she'll load them into the library section of board doc so it's there if you come across something or we make a change to something it'll be this living document so um so we can update it any time but I just want to say it's March and that's a check off for a board goal just saying

>> ready feeling pretty accomplished tonight if there's nothing else I would take a motion to address and Mrs. Zer thank you very much
