Good evening and welcome to our board meeting. Um we will adjourn executive our committees and go into our public meeting at this time. If everyone would the pledge of allegiance. >> All right. Well, our two student um board of ed representatives are not here tonight. They are at a swim meet and doing quite well sectional. So that's exciting. So we'll we'll touch base with them uh at the next meeting. We'll go ahead and go right into presentations with our auditor's report. Welcome. Anybody have any think you answered them all in our session earlier? We appreciate it. Thank you. And Dr. Hayes is going to do a presentation on facilities. Thank you. So, I'm gonna invite um Mr. Curtio, our director of transportation, and Mr. Royy, our director of facilities to come up with um and

so the purpose of this presentation is just to give you an update on what we've been discussing in our facilities committee um and planning for considerations for our May capital project. Next slide. So, we have three uh considerations that I'll take you through tonight. One, we started talking about last spring, and that's looking for additional funding for our Milro Elementary um school HVAC project, which largely has to deal with the air conditioning. Um I'm going to talk to you a little bit about the possibility of redesigning the Lamb's bus garage and then finally upgrading the technology room at the high school for a welding program. Next slide. So in 2017, we redid all of the UNI events here at Milro Elementary School. So these UN events had coils put in so that that the ability

to add air conditioning and we've been adding them on throughout the years. Um so the capital project that we put forward in October of last year allowed us to completely finish the AC work in the entire building. that was voted on um in October, passed by the the voters, and then we found out in January that the refrigerant that we needed to use for the project posed a fire hazard. So, which would have forced us to basically remchanic each of the UV systems. So, we came back together and we went to back to the drawing board to look at the different options. One option was to rip out every UN event and completely replace it. The other option was to run a similar system to the high school which was a cold water chiller system.

And that was the option that we um voted on because it's more economically safe. It's sustainable. Um I'm going to let Mr. Royy talk a little bit more about the advantages, but essentially what we would like to do is run piping. We have a chiller outside and run piping of cold water throughout the whole building, which would then be funneled through the UV systems to cool off the building. Okay, the original plan was to keep going with what we already have and that's each room has its own separate unit on the roof. There's much bigger footprint, much more maintenance, energy costs, etc. And then with the new uh decarbonization laws, it changed what we were do. Um so it affected the coils in the room as well as it like uh Dr. Hayes had said,

um the there's a flammability to the refrigeration. So that changed the overall architectural design. Um so what I'm very happy to say I really am in favor of the chilled water. It's a much uh different project. Um but very responsible. Um it it enables us to use the current system so we don't have to abandon what we currently have. Um either way we'd be adapting over the other systems that don't have AC currently. Either way we'd be doing that. Um but also with the with the new design we have is in our hallways. We currently have as you know we have boilers that heat this building. We steam we use hot water. So with this design we'll have a chiller like the high school. That chiller is on the roof of the school. This chiller

would be a pad mount outside and what it would do is it would run cold water veins basically through the whole building. We'd pick up all the rooms that do not have AC. And then we'd also have the ability to as time goes on, as the units fail, we tie them on the new cool water system. Um, so very versatile. And then it also once we were making chilled water, no matter what happens, that it will never change versus right now as the laws change, we have to change with the laws. So much better design, but more work. This is this is what I was speaking of before. This is the current chiller at the high school. Um it sits on the roof. You don't really see too much of it. Um we'd have something

very similar. It would be outside um where our dumpster area is. Um and then it would uh the water lines would go into our boiler room. >> That's one component we're considering um for the May capital project vote. Uh if you remember, the voters passed $2 million towards the project. Our estimation right now is that in total it would be a $6 million project. So we would be looking for about $4 million to complete that work. Next slide. The second thing that we're considering is a redesign of the Lamb's bus garage. Next slide. So this is a picture of our current garage. It was actually built in three iterations. the main part in the middle that was the original building that was built in the 1950s and then the two additions in the 1970s and

then the late 1990s. Um from the outside it looks okay. Most people haven't been in our lamb's bus garage, but I'm going to take you on a um visual tour and let Mr. Curtio comment on some of the spaces. Next slide. So this is a picture of the two office spaces which was actually used to be one of the storage bays that were converted into office space. So the picture on the left is our dispatch area. We have two um people that sit there. One is Mr. Cercio's assistant. Another one is one of our dispatchers. So you can see that it's a pretty cramped space, but they operate out of here for the entire um district. So all of the operations for the bus garage come out of this office. And then the office next

door is Mr. Cercio's office. He also shares that literally right next door to him is the assistant dispatcher. Um, and I'll like talk a little bit about the >> So, so basically these are are offices like Erin said. The first office my secretary sits in and there's confidential stuff that she handles and it's right right in the middle of the whole operation. We have drivers coming in and out. any of phone calls that any of the four of us make it it's everybody hears the conversation. So confidentiality is one of the the big issues in the office. Um if you want to go to the next slide. So right there where that air conditioner is coming through the wall that's the back side of my office. Those walls are just built inside that poleb barn.

So there's no plywood or or structure in between the inside of that office and the outside of that pole barn. So it What type of material is that? It's it's like a compressed Okay. So it it it's like I say, it's like cardboard. So, anything you say inside, you could hear through those walls. Um, that's one of our vans parked right right outside the office there to the left of where that emergency fire alarm is. That's a narrow hallway that the drivers walk through every morning to uh gain their keys for their school buses. So, in the morning, it's dark. We have a motion light that turns on and off, but it it's a dark narrow hallway that they have to come in four times a day to return their keys and pick up their

keys. Um, >> you can see it also used to be on the left all the way to the right is actually the garage door that butts up against the window that Anthony was talking about. And down this way, us that um grid of windows was the where the dispatcher and sit right behind there. >> So, this slide uh shows the driver's break room. So, where that soda machine and the table are, that's their room where they stay for their layovers. We have about 40 43 drivers, say um and they all make use of that room at some point in the day. um whether for their layover or to have lunch in between. Some of them live far away so they stay. The picture on the left side is the ladies room and in between the

driver's room and the ladies room that's the plumbing for for the men's room on the back side of the wall and that that's all exposed. So this is this is the men's room in the left picture. So any one of the men drivers that need to use the facility there have to walk through that mechanic shop and it just it's dangerous with the mechanics working with the tools out. It's just very dangerous for them to walk through the garage area to get to their restroom. Um, this is one of our our dead bays where that blue ladder is. And you could see the slope in the floor. We can't even put a a bus lift in there because of the pitch of the floor is so steep. And that desk on the right corner there,

that's the head mechanics desk. that that's where he does all his paperwork for DOT and his work orders for DOT to review and it it's right there in the middle of the shop. Next slide. So those lifts that we have there are temporary lifts and we have a two po two post inground lift that's underneath that bus that's not operational right now. So, we're making use of these temporary lifts. And then where the van bus is, we have a two-post lift for that in the last bay of the building. And you could see the narrow space that they have as a work area around that van. So, we're hoping to get more space for that van bay, and we're hoping to get a new two post lift for the main buses. Next slide. So this

is our pole barn and this is where all the buses sleep at night. So when they're done with their runs at the end of the day, they pull in and it's a dirt floor and it's uh it's a basically like I said, it's just a pole barn. It's coverage for the bus. It keeps the snow off of it, but there's no heat in there. There's nothing to prevent uh rodents from coming under the wall to get inside the bus area. We have our EV chargers in a few of those bays. You could see that on the right. That's one of our new EV buses. And again, the the floor is all dirt in there. So, we we would hope to get a cement floor put in there and try to keep some of the temperature

of that barn above outside temperature. Okay. So, yeah, as Aaron just brought up, if you look at the front mirrors on that bus, the the mirrors have to be right up against that far wall to get the door to close behind the bus. So, if that bus isn't pulled up touching that wall, you're not going to be able to get the door to close behind the bus. And then this is our wash bay with our water recycle system. Right now we have two uh two pressure washer hoses in there and the drivers pull their bus in and they manually wash it with that uh wash brush and soap in the bucket and then they utilize the pressure washer. That water goes down into that drain in the center of the floor and then works its

way to those recycle tanks on on the left side. Um, we'd like to get a more up-to-date system for the water recycling. Um, yeah, just something that's more more effective than what we have there. >> Next slide. And the third component that we are considering for the May Capital project is upgrading the welding program. Next slide. So, at the high school, um, Dr. Roddy and Mr. Hutman and Mr. all have been talking about ways to increase CTE opportunities for students and one of those ways is by expanding the welding program. So this year um there's actually 35 freshmen that are enrolled in welding classes which is fantastic. Unfortunately to have any kind of in-depth welding opportunity we would have to send students to Boseies and we're only allowed to two slots for our district. So,

they're talking about bringing in a full welding program, which would be a certificate program to allow students to go through four years of welding practice to come out with a certificate and then they would be able to take advantage of all the other program opportunities at the high school without having to leave half the day to go to Boseies. But in order to fulfill that um we need to put these booths in that are welding booths. And in order to do that, we have to do some infrastructure upgrades to support this. And that would require us upgrading our electric system. It would also require us upgrading our ventilation system for the hoods. So that is um something that we're asking to be considered for the capital project vote as well. So currently all of these

three things are in preliminary design phases so that we're able to um have cost estimates to bring to the facilities committee to decide how we want to move forward. But we're happy to answer any questions on any of those three components if there are any. bus garage um where you were talking about the bus kind of just barely fitting inside. What would be the proposed solution for that? Do you have a sense? >> So in in one of the options in in a brand new rebuild, it would extend the space so that there was more room. They each each bus would have its own individual space with a roof. It would be heated and and longer. If we decided to go for an option where we just renovated that space, we would run conduit through

the floor and put concrete over. So eventually if we added on more EV buses we would have that electric but essentially the the footprint of the space would stay the same. >> So that um the water system I actually went over to the bus garage before the meetings tonight. So um is that up and running or are you doing that manually now? And so to upgrade something just if you were to do that, what what's the cost just for that? Gotcha. And and just to get a new lift, what's the what's the cost on that? Just that. We're renting a lift um which cost us about $2,000 a month now because we have to have a lift to be able to do the maintenance on the buses. So, it's much more cost effective for us

to have our own lift, but we didn't want to invest in the construction of that. If there was a possibility of us getting a new garage, it makes sense to do all of that at once. The lift that we have is actually from Germany, so the parts are um very difficult and expensive to get to come overseas. So, Anthony did a lot of research on that and did the best he could to limp along, but eventually it just died. >> But the floor dips down on both sides, right, of that lift. So that's where you can't use those jacks on either of those. So you would like to even those out all the way. >> So when they originally installed that lift from Germany, it was installed too high it seems and the floor is

pitched down on both sides. So that's why we said we called those other two bays the dead bays because you you can't get a bus in there and and jack it up because the angle is too much and the weight of the bus once it goes up into the air the lift won't won't do it because of the pitch. >> Thanks for the public. [clears throat] Can you comment on uh I don't because I don't think we covered this in the facilities committee. So yes, this is a priority. Yes, we have gotten a few EV buses. Yes, we are currently set up to support those EV buses. Is there anything that we we did internally to support EV buses on the current setup? >> chargers. >> Yeah. So, so all the chargers are in place

for the four buses that are coming in in December. The chargers are all up and running. The two buses have been out on the road since we received them and their chargers are all set up. So, we have six EV chargers in place. We have two buses running right now and the next four should be in mid December >> and those won't be affected with the new construction because they're outside. Okay. >> Correct. They're outside. >> Perfect. >> Well, they're inside the pole bar, >> right? Oh, okay. They're transferable. >> Correct. >> Got it. And um is there any part of this new design that is considerate or or like necessary because of our efforts in the future to like transition to EV? >> I think it's absolutely a consideration. I mean right now the

mandate is still in place which says that by 2036 we have to have or 2035, excuse me, we have to have a full electrified fleet. So, in order to add on to the fleet, we we talked about this when we went over our um our efficiency study. We don't have the infrastructure to support more than the six buses that we've ordered. So, we have to do infrastructure work if we do continue to buy electric vehicles anyway. Um so, that just makes sense to put in place if we redo the garage is to put the electric capacity and charging capacity in there as well. Um, real quick. So on the wel, is that in the room that already has the automotive? Is it is it that room? >> So that entire suite. Um, so uh, Tetrate

Tech, which is our architect, Dr. Rody and I met with the two tech teachers today. They have a vision that they'd like to um, transform that space over the next few years. So we're looking at a phase in process. So the first phase would be adding these welding booths so that Mr. Mr. Hutman can start his program so that um students can join the four-year certificate program. And in order to do that, to put these hoods in place, we need some infrastructure upgrades to support, like I said, the electric and the um ventilation system. And then eventually, we would like to redo that whole space as we move on in our capital projects. >> And what what um you mentioned 35 freshmen enrolled in welding classes currently. what are they working with right now? >>

He has some welding equipment. It's just not the same volume of equipment or the same sophistication. So, he is able to weld in the current space. Um, and that falls under our state regulations. It's allowed. These hoods, this is just an example of what he wants to buy. Um, they're much more sophisticated and therefore they require a different type of upgrade. So, I know we offer tours. Um, and just let me know when you want to come and we can somebody will be there if you're not driving. Um, so if it works better for you early in the morning, just let me know the day before and I'll let Anthony know so that you can come over. I think it's really important to see it yourself. Okay. Thank you. All right. Well, that brings us

to our first recognition of visitors. If anyone would like to speak, we ask that you come to the podium um state your full name um speak into the microphone and that you limit it to three minutes. Right, we're moving right along. So, it's already November. Um we send out a few emails about food in security. So if you have anybody that you're aware of that needs that support, we gave our numbers for our social workers too. But there are this week in bikum that families can center today. There is a lot of resources. So we're actually looking to see if we can actually support their community um stepping up here and giving. So that's been really good. So, if you have anybody that you know that needs that service, reach out to us. We've had

a lot of action at Mil Road. I know we shared um you can see the work reports that there's been a lot of action around um we also next week we have our veterans day. So if you're also read about the continuation of our let it grow like I said there was pumpkin trip they hit some pumpkins. So um also over at Lynen Avenue we had our annual you can see all the displays for the Day of the Dead. Um, thank you. Appreciate that. Also had a Dolly celebration over and last last night was absolutely with some some of you last night at the for change and I believe that they made over um so the students were really were great. They were able to they're very excited they got Um it was the packed

house but I really appreciate u's work on that especially connecting that money will go a school Mexico she's been part can do to make change on their absolutely want to um some things going on in the high school. One of the things that I think is really great, we've been talking a lot about AI and how to um into our school. So, our students will be how to use Khan Academy um during their support them. I know we had some issues with not hosting maybe the PS, but we were that And I think we had 83. So that had our great skills trade fair. Dr. Summers was there and um thank the county executives for her support on that and that was a lot of um local people went and our students were participate and

learn about skilled trades throughout the area. Um, our fall season is winding down and you can see from Mr. Casada's report, we had over 375 students participate in and athletics this year. We also would like to publicly acknowledge Bard College as as you know that we have had um upgrades with our fields and unable to plan a lot of them. Very supportive our program athletes. Thank them publicly for time. Want to commend Amanda Smith. I mean Amanda director. She had a great family night resources about 30 parents and if you got her she's going to present. She has another night coming up on Thursday, November 20th. um also to reach out students with disucarial emotional difficult Um they came in the apartment tour and we had outcome. We talked about us being a model. Very

happy to have that and see that everybody really worked hard on that and I think um continuing to look at ways to supplement grants to keep going that has budget. Yeah. And um Ellie and I had a chance to go to the NISBA conference in New York City and we strategies in the district and I think it was very well received. had emailed asking us um about our budget expo, about our community talked a lot about AI, lot of discuss. It's just good to network and see Steve Hartman spoke. He's probably one of the best speakers I've ever Yeah. I would encourage Buffalo next different in the city, but um if you have the opportunity to go like for one or two days Good evening. So my focus on thank you speaking this program complement

that whole pro that it's doing things for students so and school right district. So my focus will be on our second superintendent conference day that was held on November 4 busy day highlights at the high school. He presented a number of workshops on AI. in which I very engaging was creating greater prof and teachers participated. They had the opport um to the exit ser very well received. We also did some more work with creating your own chat box with pool and then there were idual work academy and magic school. So it's time for hands-on work afternoon were given for the mandated trainings that have to have them participate in year middle school. um Donna Sealbach a professional develop cyber security on that practices. Then we did a training with NWA. We had someone come in

to focus on data. So all the information gather screener and it helps with grouping. It helps teachers really dig down for gap analysis and that was um very productive and well afternoon they did this at the elementary school with a very busy day. They did everything from best instructional practices and teaching tips to ERIC author study and work and teaching minds data was also actions and enrichment mental math curriculum planning every upcoming science unit. So problem strings also that is math happy numbers and Greg Tang um data analysis utilizing end day and probably 40 workshops off teachers had choice. These were presented by our own teaching staff. So consultant as you know was an exit exit survey. But before I do that we also had teachers go on. So the math department attended the math

museum in New York City and the art department attended workshops that were geared at hook teachers at Alana. Librarian technology teachers attended the Nice nice skate Hudson Valley state of mind bridging innovation and education and our special education some of our special education teachers staff visited karma all the high school the overall exit survey rating this is out of five was good some of the events got an even score five so that middle school and at the elementary school. So a very successful productive uh learn focused on our teachers and our staff to continue to best instructional practices from each other and also learn. So overall I productive and uh I think happy professional development day which is good. It was very much geared towards what need very successful. Thank everyone that effort into that.

Special thank you to my administrative staff who really does take this very it's an opportunity to continue to support teachers tool boxes so they instructional leaders in their day. >> Thank you. So October's been a busy month um in all of the departments. Mr. Percio has done an incredible job. Um, we have our busiest season in terms of trips in the month of October. He did 51 sports trips, which creates a little bit of a a juggling because our regular drivers will take sports trips and then subdrivers do continue to see qualified subdrivers. So, he's done a great job of trying to recruit jumps behind. Thank him for that. Um, all of our maintenance vehicles um I'm sorry. All of our vehicle maintenance is up to date. Um, and he did mention during our presentation

the final four EV buses that were approved last May, we should receive delivery of those in December. So, that's exciting. So, should be put on right then too. U Mr. Roy has also been busy with different facilities things. The gym renovation is almost complete. We're going our final punch list items and meeting with the contractors on that. Um we did do a couple of paving projects. One was for accessibility outside of the back of the locker rooms gym near field one. So that's been a great upgrade um for us in that that used to be a lip um you had to dip down and so now it's all um ADA compliant which is great. Um as you can see we started the lockdown button installation. So this is an example of one of them here.

So similar to a fire alarm that has the cover but pushing that button will send the entire lock down. So each of the buildings as we've discussed as part of the last capital project are getting these installed. Um they started the work and at the that's going on. Um Mr. Pride has been very busy in the food service department. So as you know we have free um breakfast and lunch for students this year. those numbers continue to grow. We are also prepared to absorb more should there be a need um based on the reduction in SNAP benefits. So we are um gearing up for that, but it's been a continually popular event to come for breakfast and lunch. So that's been great. Um on November 3rd, we actually had a big group come from the

culinary institute to visit our kitchens. So, one of the things that we're doing is looking for a collaboration of having students from the culinary come and volunteer in our kitchens and then maybe being designated as what's called an externship site so they can do six months of work here as an option in the food service industry. Um, so we're looking to collaborate on different ways for that. So, we had a group come tour here at um, Red Hook and also in Reinach as well. So, a lot of opportunities there and partnership that Mr. Pride is spearheading which is great. Um Dr. Warden mentioned the nocost market. That's actually something that's run by the community center which will be take place this Saturday. The nocost market is an opportunity for families that were invited to come

to they get a poultry of sometime some type usually chicken or turkey. They get produce that was donated community and then the Red Hook Rotary is there to give out um clothes um and outer wear for the cold months. But Mr. Pride and Mr. Anthony will be there demonstrating on taste to produce food that they can have. So they essentially get a full meal and however way they want to use it. Right now there are 2 individuals or families that are signed up for that. So it's a great opportunity for our community um anybody that struggles and this was something that predated our um SNAP decline. So this will be the third year of that happened this weekend. We also have the uh regional roots culinary training team coming in November 20th. They're actually coming

to Mil Road and they're going to help our kitchen staff put on a Thanksgiving meal for our students. Um so this is one of the opportunities that happens through the Cornell Cooperative Exchange program. They actually master trainers or master chefs come work to show them different techniques and training, knife skills, different preparation techniques. Uh Larry Anthony is actually one of the master trainers. So, we're excited to have that group come in on the 20th. So, anybody invited to come be part of the festivities. And then finally, um, in November, uh, Mr. Pride is doing the New York sourced ingredients. So, the whole month of November, um, 30% of his meals are all New York sourced ingredients. So, he's getting creative with the menu, which is exciting, and we're looking to grow that market as well.

Uh the Red Hook Education Foundation has given us their first round of grants, which is awesome. So, they're doing three different rounds this year. So, this first round of grants went to support um steam supplies at the Miller Road Elementary program, uh went to support field trip for our high school flex students to go to Broadway, a sensory table for our preschool students, monies to go to the New York uh state council for student leadership and student activities, and they are also had a very successful fall fundraiser. This is the first time they've had a fall fundraiser and they are donating $2,000 to towards the renovation at the high school. So, we thank them for that and all of their support. Um, the Red Hook Rotary, the Interact students did a highway cleanup in October.

Um, as I mentioned, they are participating in the coat drive um and the no cost no cost market in November. And then are um hosting the Rotary Citizen of the Youth dinner on the 15th of November. Tickets are on sale through tomorrow. And this year they're honoring Lisa Murray and Maria Scabelli and they are um Lisa has put on the postp prom party for over the district. She's done an incredible job and Maria's been helping her for the last 20 years. Those individuals are being honored. Tickets are there. Great to go celebrate both of them because they've done so much for our Sure. Just curious about the bus drivers. um why the substitute bus drivers take over and for the regular bus drivers and the regular bus drivers do the sports funds. >> Yeah, just

curious about that. >> So, um Jen is asking about why the our regular drivers do the sports runs and then we do subdrivers for the school runs. navigate. Yes, you did. Thank you. Didn't know about that. Thank you. All right. So that brings us to administrative reports which we all have copies of that box. Any discussion on any and then moving right along to um committees. Uh we did not have a policy committee meeting evening. So we will start for uh community engagement advocacy. We can add that on. That was what it used to be actually. Um yeah, so for community engagement, we kind of picked up where we left off last meeting. Um talking about sort of getting more organized around doing the community partnership tours. Um and it sounds like we're kind of

galvanizing around doing that again potentially this year and um probably towards the spring dates again. Um, and then we would kind of make that announcement out to the community and see who would be interested in attending those tours. They could attend one tour, two tours, three tours, maybe tours. Um, we're kind of trying to be more open. Last year it was that we really encouraged people to attend all three tours, but I think that was a little bit limiting in some ways. Um so we're hoping to reach maybe more people um different people who are interested in in visiting the schools and hearing about them from uh you know maybe talking about different topics and having some presentations. Um we'll get to those details to come. >> Have to like submit an application to be

on the part. >> How much an application? Yeah, I mean we we put out an an interest form um and I think the idea just this time around would be to state what dates are available and then we are considering um whether we should to make it more inclusive uh prioritize uh participants that did not participate last year but then also add some people that did um so that they can build on you know their understanding and their discussion but also bring some new people into the building and new voices. >> And we also discussed really quickly um that boarded highlight that page. I think it said report card. And so we're going to go ahead and start that this evening, not right now, but uh but that up on the website as well. >>

Yeah. So that that board BOE highlights I think is where we rested on um to just make you know what we talk about here more accessible to the community. Um, so you don't have to necessarily navigate through the agenda and whatnot. You can just have a quick look and then if you see something that piques your interest, you can then dive deeper by checking out the video on YouTube or going into the the agenda for for some more information or the um, you know, attachments. >> All right. And so that brings us to facilities. Um, Erin gave a really great overview of the topics we discussed. I think for the board, um, we're going to have to make a decision probably by the next board meeting on, you know, what, uh, direction we want to

go in. And really, it's, in my opinion, it's going to come down to two different choices on the bus garage. Either um, one iteration is just adding on to the current structure, and the other is to completely demo and then rebuild. So Erin's gonna we learned a little bit more about refining costs based on different materials today and maybe even a little bit of um size reduction and then once we get those new numbers um we'll present those to the board and then we'll make with you sort of like the two variances and then we'll make a decision what we want to put up and give guidance to the team. So I think in my opinion HVAC is pretty straightforward. It is what it is. Um the welding is very straightforward. I do think the

bus garage is straightforward, but there are going to be uh some choices that we have to make. >> Just need a little bit more refinement then we can present that at the next meeting. >> All right. So, um that brings us to policy review and approval. Um the first read of policy 3310. I need a motion in a second. Oops. [laughter] Uh, is there any discussion on that? All those in favor? I All right. And I skipped around. I apologize. So, back to board of head member comments. No. Okay. I've heard you enough. Did anyone have anything else that they wanted to add? I apologize. >> I just wanted uh again uh Dr. Warden uh hit on this earlier, but um the event last night at Lambs was really like a pleasure to be at.

Um so I want to commend Liz Lowey for all of her work organizing that and the international club at Lambs cuz it was a really special night. Um that not only brought people into the building, but it was fun. It provided um you know, I think a valuable experience for the students that volunteered their time and then it just raised a whole lot of money for a great cause. So, it was special. My kids had fun and uh so thank you to all involved. >> It taught kids about giving back, right? And Jen uh provided I think the cilantro for it and there was a lot. >> Yeah. And and the onions. >> It was it was excellent. what Sam Pride is also doing with have you know including the students in the culinary aspect

of the meals at school and the students were really cooking or not cooking but they were preparing all of the food >> and then serving it and actually like running a restaurant essentially. It was pretty amazing to see. Yeah. I also want to quickly mention I I know it's between the last board meeting, but I attended the um trade uh fair with that Sue Serino put on and that was also an excellent event. Very well attended. The community really stepped up for it. Um unbelievable participation and a really diverse number of um businesses and military and local law enforcement. And then I think it was really well attended by families and students. And then Sue spoke and she's such an advocate. So it was a really great event. Really nice. Fantastic. Great. All right. So,

that brings us now I'm going to get in order. Uh business consent agenda. Um I need a motion in a second on items 1 through 14. Um does anyone have any questions or comments? All right. All those in favor? I. Any opposed? So, moving right along to uh the personnel agenda. Again, a motion and a second on items 1 through 14. >> Second. Any questions? All those in favor? >> I. >> Yay. [laughter] >> Congratulations. Yes. So, I'd like to welcome Linda Steinberg and Francis Clashy, our dynamic duo that's coming to the business office. We're very excited. So, Linda will be our school of business administrator and Francis will be our treasurer. Um, so between the two of them, they have over 20 years experience in finance. So, welcome. We're excited to have you. It

is a um we are very excited that to welcome you and your skill set. It's a difficult time. We are right in the middle of budget season, so you're going to hit the ground running, but we welcome you and are excited to join the team. Thank you. >> That's your initiation sitting through a long board meeting before we get to approve you. You're set now. No more >> here. [laughter] Exactly. Exactly. Um All right. So that brings us to our second recognition of visitors. Does anyone have anything to say? >> Okay. All right. Um so now it's time to adjourn. Can I get a motion and a second on that? >> Second. >> All those in favor? I motion. I mean this meeting adjourned. I can't talk.
