for which it stands one nation under god indivisible with liberty and justice for all um i'm i'm deeply sorry to have to start the meeting off in this manner but we would like to extend our heartfelt sympathy and just sorrow to the family of rob elementary school in uvalde texas on where there was a loss of lives of 14 4th graders and their teacher so if we could just have a moment of silence our thoughts are with the families um and i would i would be remiss if we didn't as a board thank the administration our sro our teachers um everyone that walks through our doors to keeping all of our people safe thank you okay can i have a motion to um where are we approve the agenda discussion all those in favor any

opposed motion carries great thank you uh the first item on the agenda is a homework committee update our high school principal jessica torre thanks jessica good evening everyone [Music] so this survey is we surveyed all the students on the end of lunch there was 814 students that completed the survey and then i have a breakdown of how many of the students from each of the schools to kind of contextualize that so some of the key findings that reason committee uh kind of put together here starting on the left for the high school um those first two questions were actually also asked last june so we purposely asked that again this and how many of our students have one hour or less of homework in june last year 33 of our students and then march this

past year that went up to 55 same thing with homework is tailored to individual needs last june high school submits at 20 and that increased this year to 45 percent they're still supporting around that but we've had some growth students when i complete my homework i have a better understanding in and then i break it down to each of the course subjects so 75 percent of the students either agree or start angry back to home or help the and over fifty percent of our students and they're said often high school moving over to the middle school grades four through eight students indicated that they have no home learning assignments and sometimes that really have homework on every subject so something that they notice and feedback given for assignments will return this matter and also bring

their help and then junior high eighty percent of the students spend less than an hour of homework and then the interviews below 85 percent of students feel home learning is tailored to learning that was pretty subjective and then at the green level um they seek feedback from third graders at the cambria level so students for the most part only a field only a few of them felt like they had too much homework most of them wanted more homework they're really hungry for having more overdoses which is great thank you and um regular homework in math and ela and so those are kind of like some key highlights that we identified from the survey so kind of what's next what's on the horizon are three main things one at the 7 12 level is to increase

consistent grading practices and establishing the grading business rules against campus as we're migrating and shifting over to our new student management system so establishing consistency with delayed categories and this is actually meeting all the department liaisons at the central those conversations by department so creating categories of what percent of the students overall quarter grade or final average design projects learning tests participation and kind of calibrating that and aligning that to each of the departments with the exception to our cathedral classes which we have to adhere to to the reading policies at the college level and that will be started in january next week next up as a committee we really identify the need of providing additional professional development around best practices or just overall student engagement providing meaningful feedback and ncss we'll be starting that

in the summer and that will be ongoing all throughout bachelor as well and then last department liaisons will begin analyzing the student center results with their department colleagues or grade level teams level and getting feedback on what each of our teachers are maybe identifying additional resources supports any other professional development so that's we'll be getting that in june in a couple weeks so that's kind of home learning in a nutshell any questions carolyn yes um on the in the grades 9 through 12 with the one hour or less of homework in march of 22 is that is that would we assume that that means that 45 are saying they have more than an hour's worth of homework so that's like the first part of my question for a part b is out of curiosity and

i don't know if you'll know this off the top of your head but you're a math person so you might out of your like from the high school students what percent would you say are in the suny ulster college classes and ap classes that would be more rigorous just by the nature of the fact that they're college is that where that 45 percent could possibly be coming from it very well could be concrete numbers right off the top of my head we had over 100 students uh take the ap exams with classes 47 enrolled in 102 ish just kind of we didn't ask the specific question about if students are in ap courses we wanted it to be confidential so we didn't want them to you know feel like right right i was just wondering

if that's where some of that and we have all the questions that we asked and i'm sure we could we could share that out with the board um so you guys can take a look at it have a look at all the questions the one we took you know last year for the beginning of the year in june june of june of last year and then you compare it to this year is quite interesting so even if you said even if you you know up into this one survey we were asking you know how much time are we taking our homework and things like that and it was just more like kind of globalized we really wanted to kind of drill down or what are they saying now in english classes is it making an

impact on their math and science things like that sort of really just start a lot of conversations nice chris do you have a question uh well i commented that a question um so i'm when you look at the data here but i do my homework i have a better understanding and oh wow i think these are pretty good good uh percentages right it's showing that there's value um what i'm honing in on those the bottom of this the feedback i'm giving is returned in a timely manner on the surface when i look at 52 think that's great but i don't know what the benchmark was just in a prior survey we had done is this an improvement since that time and if it is great we're moving in the right way so my thing is

i i'm looking at this i'm not an educator so i'll trust the educators here but i i think you probably still have some room for improvement on that bottom category um but on that i think it looks great thank you it does and we also too plan on you know every year you know polling of the students it's not just a one-and-done you know something that you need to continue to evaluate and find improvement yeah you know working with good teachers thank you for your hard work this has been um a great journey and our kids are benefiting from it so we really appreciate it thank you and before you sit down we just received notice from the new york state school boards association that jessica jessica's team at high school is being recognized uh

as champions for change prevention council if you could just give us a brief uh give the board a brief update on what that is um i've invited uh the state school boards association to our next board meeting to present the banner but if we can just update everybody but that is so in the fall when we were really kind of digging into the discipline data we saw that our ninth grade students and our 10th grade students really needed a lot of extra support around uh just conflict resolution peer pressure social media goal setting communication so we reached out to ulster professional council who was amazing and we have a facilitator named hannah that pushes into every single one of our english classrooms in ninth and tenth grade one day a week that started at the

end of january and it actually just wrapped up at the end of april um and it was a really positive experience and we're looking forward to collaborating with them next year but i really want to thank my team for kind of taking the idea off the ground and this marcus was really huge in that um social worker and was defensively always working behind the scenes and all the english teachers that really embraced hannah in their in their classrooms but also connected it to their curriculum and continuing those conversations after that so it's been a really positive experience well thank you for that can we get um the team here next board meeting okay really quick i just want to add it too i and i think this i heard i spoke to you about that

um because i mean i heard from the students i heard from my younger child she was phenomenal like she she really connected with the kids and like really spoke to them yes okay okay next up on the agenda uh nicole caps levine will give the board update on the school climate survey it's going out in this new process thank you i would love to present a short presentation uh do i have access to can anyone here give me access to share my studio yes i'm already logged on i can just start um so we're excited to be able to share with you our plans for our school climate survey which are underway i wanted to start by saying first the reason why we do a school climate survey every year is because we know that

if our students don't feel safe at school or they're not feeling like they have relationships with the adults thank you so much they won't be able to take advantage of the learning that's offered so sorry let me just buzz to start sharing your presentation okay um it is you know a core value of ours uh at ronald valley central school district that we you know support our students in all aspects and that includes ensuring that they feel safe and welcome at school and this is very much in line with what the state of new york asks and expects of us so we like i said we do a school climate survey every year uh some things that are different this year is we're starting in third grade this year in order to have a touch

point in all of our schools with students specifically we are doing our surveys completely anonymously and we're really focused on ensuring that we are transparent with the data that we collect within our community um we want to build trust we want to build community commitment to the kinds of things that you know we're working on as staff and to have a shared commitment to some of those pieces some specific things that we wanted to improve or add to for our school climate survey this year is we first and foremost wanted to ask students about their own personal experiences of bullying and harassment so where previous survey questions might have asked students is bullying a problem at this school we're asking students have they themselves experienced you know various forms of either verbal harassment or some

of those other things so that we can really drill down and better understand how many of our students are experiencing what are they experiencing and which students are experiencing those things and that will allow us to better target our efforts to remedy anything that we find we also for the staff survey wanted to ask dap about their own bullying and their experiences at school um we know you know we can't support student social emotional well-being if we're not also you know being mindful and taking care of our staff um and for parents and guardians we wanted to ask about engagement and communication because those two areas communication and parent engagement are key priorities of the board and we really wanted to know very clearly how our parents and guardians are feeling about that and what

they would like us to do more or less of and you know what are the ways that they want to be engaged so in order to do that we really felt like we needed to create a customized survey that meets all of our district's priorities so we worked with uh dr nicole aliado of olive reve educational consulting who's worked with our district before and her team helped us to create a customized survey using many of the questions that we asked in our previous school climate survey as well as adding to that questions with other kind of open source researched informed survey questions the other piece that's really important to us is we're going to be disaggregating our survey data by in various ways so that we can better understand how specific groups of students parents

and staff are experiencing school and you know as an example you know we're asking students whether they participate in sports where they participate in clubs and the reason for that is because then we can actually separate out and compare the students who do participate for example in clubs and sports to see whether their experiences of connectedness or belonging may be different from students who don't you know that correlational data will be important for us and of course we'll be looking at specific student groups as well so a couple logistics uh the staff survey has already been given to all staff we have sent out district messaging to families the parent survey is now open we hope as many parents and guardians will take the survey as possible and it will be open until june 10th

so we sent out messaging to families via email and a postcard will be going home to all of our families very soon we're also asking administrators to put in their school newsletter so as many times as families can hear about it hopefully we'll increase participation um we also notified parents about the ability to off their child out of the student school climate survey if they choose to do so and the deadline for opting out is friday may 27th they can also view a copy of the student survey in their school office if they would like to do that and we also contacted all of our parents and guardians whose primary language is other than english to offer them translation services so that they can take the survey in their own language we want to make

sure we weren't creating barriers for any families to take our surveys so again you know parent survey is open uh the student survey window will be between may 31st and june 10th students will be taking it in school and that will capture a really high percentage of students and once all the surveys are completed alabreve will be preparing the report before us that will give us a lot of important information we're really excited to see this information and then be able to share it out with first we'll share it with the board and distributed building administrators over the summer we'll give principals the opportunity to share the story together with their staff as soon as we return back to school and then after that we'll share struggling with the community and you know engaging our

community in and doing some additional focus groups for especially parents and students about some of the areas of concern you'd identify to get more information from them and we'll keep going great good stuff here's the qr code for the parent survey in case anyone's watching the decision take it right now they can do that any uh anyone can and the qr code will be on the postcard for yourself will we be putting it on the website as well or just postcards yes thank you very much this is really a great word um that is underway anyone have questions or comments just comments on our last plan committee we talked about not doing a whole lot more with that committee until the day to come out from this survey okay and i think the consensus was

that would be the beginning of that school year um that we meet um but who knows will happen after that committee on the new board so maybe it's a full board session i don't know i'll leave that to joe and um all of you to kind of advise that you want to manage next item on the agenda financial reports recommended motion that the board of education approved the financial reports for april 1st 2022 as presented make the motion any discussion all those in favor any opposed motion carries uh next item the annual budget vote may 17 2022 recommended motion the board of education accepts the annual budget vote results for may 17 2022 as presented i'll make the motion awesome any discussion i do want to comment 681 yeses 279 knows well done yeah thank

resignation of brianna casey so she is here this evening she will be finishing up this year and then she starts no she doesn't do jealous right no she does um elise whose term finishes july 1. so christine will fill in for at least the visa jury till june 30 and then july 1 you'll take the oath again for your full three-year term so you'll do a three-year term plus okay great allen roberts is getting um the open position the open vacant position it's a three-year term but it doesn't start until july 1. correct i get the other three-year term it doesn't start until july one because i'm still here right um and then dean violet okay dean is taking brianna's unexpired um term created by her resignation so he starts this evening until july 1st

and then um completes one year which would complete uh brianna's turn so he's with us until the 23rd the 23 end of the school year and then um so thank you everyone um there were there were other um we really appreciate everyone who wants to um to do this job um it is it is a wonderful job i think we do a lot of good good work um it does take time it does take a lot of hours i i think it you know can be taxing but it's it's well worth the rewards so thank you now um all those in favor any opposed motion carries so first on my list is the oath of office for our newly elected board members um you can both if you could both stand and um yeah okay

you've got them so um right but okay so um so i don't remember all the details christine if you could raise your right hand read the oath of office and put your name or whatever you need to input um and then dean will follow up with you with the oath of office so christine please go ahead i do solemnly swear that i will support the constitution of the united states and the constitution of the state of new york and that i will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of board member according to the best of my ability [Applause] and i will faithfully discharge duties of what was the board member according to the rest of my ability so thank you very much welcome aboard a recommended motion that the board of education approved the

claims audit report for warrant number 31 as presented i'll make the motion any discussion all those in favor any opposed motion carries and you can both um now you can both make motions you can second and you can you can vote public comments is there any public comment [Laughter] springfest since the start of it so that's really exciting to have a bunch of different things just games um very exciting that's great now are there prompts happening yes junior prom is uh very nice well congratulations um please everyone be safe okay um thank you for your update lucy and i understand we're gonna have a parade again tonight for i know so thank you jessica and our senior committee and our um our administration this is the parade that started due to coven due to the

fact that we could not have a graduation and it has become i think a mainstay it sounds like right the kids love it um i know they're talking about where they're gonna stand to wave and and cheer the seniors on so it's very exciting um building administrator updates you had your update are you good or you have other updates you i don't need to put down the spot you don't have to say anything a lot of things were mentioned there was a couple other things i wanted to highlight from the high school okay um last monday raising awareness about her narcotics assembly it was a ninth grade assembly county live where the ryan ulster county rally really helped bring in jody hoffman a former bmx um pro he was rated the number one opening awareness

speaker in the country and shared his personal story with all of that on london so that was exciting um last friday was the uh sean farrell memorial concert where our history of rock and roll students and mr soy's class helped put on an awesome event so it was a couple years since we had that we had three bands and the kids did a great job so that was really nice emily mentioned the spring fest we have our spring concert coming up june 2nd at 7 30 in the auditorium um we mentioned proms and then the car crate of the graduation which you just wanted to give a shout out and special thanks to all the fire departments and suny ulcer because if it wasn't for them we couldn't do this event and it was a

lot of work kind of blocking off the roads it's kind of a whole district community effort so it's really exciting awesome thank you so board time committee updates chris we'll start with you oh i'm sorry of course so i'm so sorry i just want to give a quick update to some of the things that are going on out of our office absolutely buildings so um just a big highlight i think that's important is all of our community special ed teachers have been trained in important killing camps recently and that'll be continuing going on we have our own in-house special olympics that's going to be going on uh next friday expected we have to change it because of our rainy days cold stuff but we're going strong we're sticking with this the special olympics will be

coming up soon here in house which we're pretty excited about and i just wanted to give a huge shout out to our unified basketball team that did a phenomenal job senior night it was it was just unbelievable the kids had such a great time i i think that yeah [Music] the program has grown so much since it started here so it's fun that was great oh awesome thank you for that you're not getting up you're not getting out of it well i don't have much to share we we uh we have a facilities meeting coming up we need to postpone it yeah that's gonna be accessible come up here come up here shortly um other than that the only other thing and i'm sure carolyn's going to be i think i read the other day

that the girls track team won them and just yeah that's awesome and i know that a lot of the teams are playing in sectionals i know some things didn't go so great last night but i know lacrosse kind of won like you'll get all that stuff so i'll i'll pass that on the camera but you know i other than you know the next time we have a facilities meeting that i don't really have anything else okay awesome thank you lucy likewise strips for the facilities mean that we know the budget pass again they've been committed for that there was one thing i'd like to mention um three of our students participated in the ulster boces skills usa state conferences syracuse and michael lamaruchine and graham mcconnell who are both cisco and cyber security students took

first place in the community action category wow and eric oakley who is a hvac student was third in the hydronic heating category so congratulations for me good job i'd also like to just ask you to just take a moment to remember carol stern who was one of our colleagues at the high school in the english department she tragically lost her life in the car accident on children this past week thank you um if we could just take a moment that would be great thank you our sympathies feel like our family so i just have a quick update the code of conduct um committee has been meeting and i just have a brief update if you control um so what they've done so far is uh we've looked at many examples of strong codes of conduct

as a starting point to kind of take a look and compare to what we have uh we've reviewed our district discipline data including looking at places where we have disproportionality we've also set a number of goals and priorities for the revision starting in the fall as i mentioned this last meeting we are going to be inviting more stakeholders to take part in the process we're going to be inviting staff and parents and student representatives to participate in the revision of our code of conduct um this is never a quick process it is a it is a lengthy multi-year process to really make significant meaningful changes then you also have a rollout which will take time as well so it is moving and there you have a dedicated committee who's who meets regularly and is moving

forward with this process so it's okay it's very good it's great news um did you want to add anything else no that's great nicole is leaving the chat on them she's doing a great job um and the budget committee i just want to um on behalf of the committee just thank um everyone who came out to support us um and voted to support our budget on our initiatives we also i don't know if this was mentioned but the other um the cap reserve was also approved so we are going to be moving forward and being financially responsible and trying to save the money so that we don't have that expense when the time comes and you can do some repairs so just wanted to say thank you to the community um for coming out and

and for their continued support and so thank you to the committee for the hard work that was done as the it administration a good job and of course our community for improving it chris so i gave a little bit of update earlier about treaty plan committee we're not going to be meeting for the rest of the year um our last meeting um we had a consensus that the year two building plans um would really kind of fall on the building uh administrators and ninja to make sure that they aligned with the board um priorities have homestead people together about a year and a half ago um we were heavily involved in the year one building plans just because it was new for all of us but i think we carolyn and i really had confidence

that things are moving uh nicely at we you know we really want to kind of be almost back on the administration to kind of carry it forward from here um if we have this committee again next year um our thinking was that maybe they're meeting poorly just to get some regular updates uh but it's something i think we can discuss at the board you know those updates be at the board level should it be a committee i don't have a recommendation i think it's something we can talk about when the time comes you know um that first meeting in july we kind of review all of that um the other thing and i apologize i was not at the last board meeting so i didn't give the update um at that time um because we

met was a month ago i think carolyn we also discussed this pack gave a really great overview of our data systems that we're going to be working forward with in the next year and i'm hoping that at some point the entire board can see that along with the baseline data that we have in the english map i think it would be good for you all to get a visual my take on the data that we saw in the meeting was um we did see a dead beautiful there was certainly a drop in scores and i know the start uh test data which isn't always the best uh source but it gives us data right it's something that we can have a visual on what was intriguing to me was that second grade cohort in particular

which is i'm phrasing them as the coverage cohort um but they're the ones who's equally hit when they're in vienna and you can really see an impact based on the data that they are not where they where their peers were when their peers were at the same level so i think as a board we need to keep this in mind um and make sure that we're doing whatever we need to do to support the administration whether it's resources or budgetary items um i worry about that group to be honest and i feel like we need to invest things into them to get them back on track agree um joe can you put together a plan and how we support you thank you very much i'm christine i don't know i know you don't have a

committee or anything but if you want to share anything you're welcome to share at this time me same goes for you okay megan uh so the homework committee you all have a wonderful update from the store if someone was there and we we're not gonna have it we're done right yeah we may enroll into a different committee uh for next year uh but we can talk about that okay okay uh the policy committee meeting was postponed to the first week of june i believe i know i didn't write it down so forgive me but it is first week of june so we will have another update um very soon great closing out the school year thank you very much carolyn um uh i do have some as uh chris was alluding to um our athletes

have had a phenomenal couple of days so i apologize for reading um all the notes off of my phone here the boys lacrosse team did win uh against highland last night so they play in the finals on saturday at noon that is a time change so please note that if you're gonna go cheer on the boys lacrosse team where i do not know um in for boys golf hunter lap has made the cut for the finals today with an 84. uh the girls softball just upset saugerties ten to four they scored nine runs in the top of the sixth to to win so they will be playing on thursday in the semis the girls golf team is also doing great alex is currently in fourth place and madison is in 11th so they're having a

great week and our girls track team were crowned mahal champions yesterday um in track uh i'm sorry they were crowned mahal champions on saturday and tomorrow we are also hosting the sectionals for class c and d here for track as well so it's quite an exciting week for many of our athletes so congratulations to all of them and i miss anybody i apologize [Applause] thank you i just want to thank everyone for your hard work i know at this point in the year we end up wrapping up committees let's let's do that wrap up let's um in terms of like wrapping up like for board goals like do we would we be like evaluating how we did it on our portals and starting the process of writing the ones for next year i think we

absolutely should um let me look at the agenda um with uh joe and debbie and see if it's the next meeting or the meeting after that we can evaluate how we did and then do we want to roll with the same goals because those were tied strongly to the strategic plan well there was there was one goal that was the strategic plan but then there were other goals in there as well and other items yeah we can definitely look at it absolutely good point you're right well also a board retreat um if you want to schedule a board retreat to go over the goals so we can't do it in a retreat we have to do it in a public session but we can have a public session opposite or like a different time let's

take a look at let's take a look at it yeah you can discuss you can just discuss the development of them but you can't actually make the goal you're right it has to be in a public session where you where you have your goals but you can discuss the process and avoid your treatment the other the other thing um we'd like to make a recommendation um nicole and i have been talking about she's working on training uh for the staff and there's also a training and when you have the training for board members in d.e.i okay let's do it are you guys all in favor of getting trained on diversity equity and inclusion in a similar like a shortened version of what our staff is getting yeah okay yeah now let's go let's do it

um chris you have to kind of so i just have a question i mean in super eval um i think that's what it's called yeah there's a board evaluation section um i don't know if was that set up is it structured for us to give reviews i i'm getting like notifications that i'm behind on that yeah should we be doing that as a board i can reach out and find out okay i mean that might be a good flow of getting our boss going in terms of how we think we perform and then we come together and review those data and whatever it turns out about the session or retreat yeah absolutely that's a good point okay sorry i was kind of piggybacking off of yours and you were winding down yes thank you because

i i was like i don't know what i said so i'm done um yeah so let's just make sure that we don't add a ton of meetings to everyone's um world right now with graduation coming we have all of that to our new board members we do participate in graduation and we are able to stand there and um we used to shake hands or fist bump right and now with covet everyone just walks on by we wait um and um i think it's a great time to really celebrate the what we do i mean what we do is work really hard to support the administration and the staff to allow all these wonderful students of ours to graduate from from high school so it's a great time um so if you want to participate in

that you're extremely welcome and the year before we for the parade we didn't really have a table from the board so i think we might want to do something um i'll look at that and we can see if you know one or two of us want to stand there and wave and you know support the kids yes if you are interested in um being at graduation need your cats um oh it was decided last year not to do caps and then we're just going to do gowns yeah and half business doesn't work for me to high school you know that's like a nurse um what else i just want to thank everyone for your hard work and then we'll schedule this up in may and june so that that's good news okay um recommended notion

that the board of education approved the first reading and adoption of policy 5405 which is student wellness first reading and adoption i'll make promotion um this was in relation to um actually this was in regards to a comment on page page three if you go to page three it's marketing of foods and beverages and the conversation is that we were getting a concession stand so we wanted to make sure there wasn't a conflict with our policy so the line ad that i put in red and the policy is the school districts concession standards and sorry it's excluded from the book so it's just that one line so that there's a differentiation during the school days you follow all of this but when the concession stands and used it does not appropriate i agree with that

i'm not disagreeing um i thought we were going to talk with the lawyer though right about the marketing piece oh no we changed that that was that was a different policy all right sorry thank you thank you and that was awesome okay thank you thank you any other questions comments discussion all those in favor any opposed motion carries nancy you're up recommended motion at the board of education approve the personnel report recommended by joseph morgan superintendent of schools as presented i'll second any discussion all those in favor any opposed motion carries recommended notion that the board of education improved the creation of various assistant coaching positions as presented i'll make that motion any discussion yes um what is the assistant coaching can you explain we didn't have we didn't have assistant coaches in a lot

of the teams so now we have um we have a schedule so when we hire an assistant coach there is a pay schedule that there will be a point today so it won't be fun so it's been volunteer assistant coaches correct any other questions yes how has this been viewed by our business official for the impact to the budget yes i did not um any other comments or questions at the bottom of the note it looks like this has already been included in the athletic budget for the year right so it's not like works we're spending any more than what we've already um budgeted for it was added to the athletic budget when jeff um made his budget recommendation he included if the assistant coaches so it wasn't added on the new items being presented

to the to the board so it's more of an allocation from his budget these are all new positions well are they though well they're paid yeah he added all of this in yeah so if right i think we struggle to find good coaches and i think being able to pay a good assistance to come in um definitely a value i think um one of the things joe i have a question about is um once we set this precedent it's going to be hard to get out there right so we're ever in a financial issue are we going to be able to back this out well i think with any with any stipended position the board doesn't have to fill it okay for example any typically that's when you were in a financial um you know

a down year when aid is cut um there's a study resistance or one of the first areas not mandated yeah i'm comfortable with it i just want to make sure i understood the process so thank you any other questions carolyn um not a question and i'm trying to find it in my notes but i know earlier in the year we approved we made an approval to have assistant coaches be paid beginning in the year uh 2022 2023. i just don't remember the date but that was an approval that we made as a board um so then so that could be put into his budget yes can you say that again that's all right back in february or march i don't remember the date but um in one of our in one of our meetings we

approved that the for the upcoming year like for the 2022-2023 school year that the assistant coaches would be a paid position well it was this school year we voted on it this school year for it's for them to start being paid on in july for july 1. um i'm just i'm trying to look at my notes on when that was but we approved it for them to all be paid no longer volunteer that was something we approved earlier in there i just don't remember yes i just don't remember the damn trying to look through my nose to see if i wrote it down so i can find the d for you and lucy's saying it's february march this summer it came up before the baseball season started and we started talking about the assistant uh

position okay about recruiting you know really recruit more people interest paid versus about here thank you early this year yeah i also too just want to make a note just meetings ago we had said that it was for joe to direct um jeff and then um kind of like a report back yeah jeff has jeff has been evaluating the volunteer focus he has an evaluation okay any other discussion nicole did your questions get answered or i'm just for the record i'm i'm not not supporting this i think that it's necessary uh we've been talking about how to better support our coaches um and so i think it's a good idea i'm voting against it because i do feel like we have a process we think that they should go through the budget committee before they

come to the full war um i think it's an important process that we have in place so for that reason i'm not supporting it but it's not that i don't support the actual item okay so um any other comments discussions all those in favor any opposed thank you motion carries on may recommended motion to accept the recommendations of the committee on special education and committee on preschool special education to authorize the arrangement of special education programs and services for students as prosecutors also any discussion all those in favor all right any opposed motion carries uh recommended motion to adjourn tonight may 24th 2022 board meetings everyone good night signs
