Mhm. >> Mhm. >> Yes, I can. Can you hear me? >> Yes, we can. Yes. >> Okay, thank you. >> Thank you. All right. Good evening. We're going to call to call to order this May 26th, 2026 special meeting. This meeting is called for the purpose of opening and tallying affidavit ballots, accepting the vote results, personnel items, and board action items. Emergency exits, we have one at the rear of the room and then one on each side of the room. Um Would you do roll call for me? >> I will. Christine Bellarosa >> Here. >> Katie Everson Hough >> Here. >> Michelle Frome O'Brien >> Here. >> I'm sorry. Sakina, Arisari. >> Here. >> Carol Kelder. >> Here. >> Michael Meyer. >> Here. >> Jeffrey Riazi. >> Here. >> Timothy Wells. >> Here. >> Pledge

of Allegiance. >> I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Dr. Roraback, commission and vision statements. >> Okay. The mission statement, we provide equitable, engaging, inspiring, and holistic experiences that support success and empowerment for students, families, and the community in a diverse and changing world. Our vision statement, we are a beacon of educational excellence where every individual is inspired and able to achieve their fullest potential. >> All right. Moving on, board action items. Um, so first item is number one, vote results. Um, Yes, go right ahead. She needs about 5 minutes to go tally the affidavit ballots, which she can't do right here. She has to do it private, so once

she comes back, we'll have the vote results. I think there's only five. >> Four. Four. >> What is an affidavit? >> No, affidavit. Affidavit is like somebody >> I think who shows up and they're not on the polls and they fill out >> affidavit. >> while they >> I would be happy to. Can you tell me what to read? Am I reading them right? >> After the four >> We should tally >> I know yes >> Beautiful. Okay. >> No, it was not walking. >> Okay, here we go. So After the four affidavit ballots we had We had eight affidavit ballots total as Mr. Wells just pointed out and four were valid. So the final budget vote is yes 1,154 no 637. The final tally for the four board member positions Mr. Wells with 1,183

Mr. Riazi with 1,179 Ms. Viviani with 287 and Mr. Rappaport with 131. All right, so Yeah, I wanted to vote on that one first. Yeah, so can I have a motion to vote on B1 the vote results? >> So moved. >> By Mr. Wells? >> Second by Ms. Pramolia. Any questions on those results? All those in favor? >> Aye. Thank you, Carol. Unanimous. >> Yay. >> Back to Taylor. You're up again. >> I'm going to issue an oath to Alex. >> Alex Rapport. If you could just stand and raise your right hand, please. I just need to hide the exceptions. >> There's nothing >> I do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of New York, and I will faithfully discharge the duties of

the office of Board of Education trustee according to the best of my >> [applause] >> Working together already. >> Okay. Um >> First thing you'd like to >> Yeah. Um So, I'd like to make a motion um if I could have a motion to recess in executive session. We have to discuss a couple personnel items, um and there's a couple things to vote on that um uh we we want to brief Mr. Rapport on before we asked him to vote on it. Um so, can I have a motion? >> Motion. >> Ms. Cromeya? >> Aye. >> Mr. Meyer? Any questions? All those in favor? >> Aye. We will be back very quickly. >> Three or four hours, tops. >> [laughter] >> Mhm. >> Motion to reconvene back to open session. >> So moved. >> Mr.

Wells? >> Seconded by Mr. Rosary. Any questions? All those in favor? >> Aye. >> Okay, public recognition. Um, so normally we have two of these, but um, tonight for the special meeting we have one. So, there's anybody in the audience who'd like to address the uh, board. Um, it doesn't matter. It doesn't have to be on the agenda. It can be anything Since we're only doing one, well, quickly, I don't think anybody wants to talk to us, so move on. All right. E, all right, appointments. Um, we only have two. Well, they're both associated with things, so A and B. Part-time monitor. And then she's a substitute part-time monitor. >> Just a part-time monitor. >> Okay. >> No. >> All right. So, motion to accept item E1. >> So moved. >> By Mr. Wells, seconded

>> Second. >> by Ms. Bellarosa. Any questions? All right, all those in favor. >> Aye. >> Okay. Board action items, F. Um Just a couple things in here. We finally fixed the MOA around the shap- chaperoning policy workshops. All right, so, can I have a motion to accept items F1 through six? >> So moved. >> By Ms. Gramaglia. >> So moved. >> Seconded by Ms. Kelter. Any questions? >> There's one thing that I noticed, um, whoever was drafting the MOA for the chaperoning multiple athletic events for compensation. >> Yeah. >> Um I don't know who has that, but in multiple places it refers to games, two consecutive games, but I think for some of the sports you can have more than one game in like a match, so tennis, I think volleyball, maybe some others.

So, just to make sure that the but the intention is understood. So, like you have three JV volleyball games. I think that's what like what it happens in one match, I think. I don't know what we're supposed to be looking at. >> [laughter] >> The word consecutive games is used. >> You're correct. >> We don't want there to be a loophole in there where somebody can say, "Well, I did three, you know, JV played one, two, three sets or whatever." Um because they don't refer to that game. Just just to look at that and just make sure that it makes sense with this game, sets, and matches that that >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> conforms with what the intention is, which as I understood it is basically meaning if I do JV, varsity, or girls

and boys consecutively, I get double the comp, but not >> Yeah. >> maybe six times the comp if I do where there's three sets. >> I We can double-check, but I think I remember having a conversation with our athletic director who was comfortable >> [cough] >> A lot of eyes have been on that. >> A lot of eyes. Okay. But it's a good point. No, it's a good point. >> But it is That's a technicality. >> Okay. Let's So, all those in favor? >> I. >> All right. >> [clears throat] >> Okay. Item F seven, superintendent of schools. >> That one? >> This one right here? >> Right. >> Okay. Um yeah, so uh this is our um the the professional next to me has gone through a lot of title changes over the last

nine months from active to interim. Um so, this action item uh is to remove interim, um which I can tell you and I'm I can speak for the board. Um since she stepped into that position, um the words in front of her title have never mattered. Um whether it was active or interim, um she acted like the superintendent of this district. And has led this district through some tumultuous times over the last 9 months. Um has demonstrated an ability to communicate not only with with her employees, but also with the district. Um and be able to see and react to feedback from the district, um communicate back to them with empathy, with professionalism, um and has done an amazing job in building a team. Um so it is my honor to ask for a motion

on item F7 to appoint Dr. Wanda Rowback as our superintendent of Saugerties Central School District. >> Someone. Seconded by us. >> Seconded by Ms. Is there any questions or comments? >> Reading the roll call vote? >> We absolutely can. >> Yes. >> Yeah, we've got to do Tell Taylor's got to grab some. Now it is. I I think it's a great idea. >> Yep. Christine Bella Rosa? >> Yes. >> Katie Emerson Hoss? >> Yes. >> Michelle from Holyoke? >> Yes. >> Sakina Sakina Irizarry, I apologize. >> That's okay. >> Yes. Carol Keller? >> Yes. >> Michael Meyer? >> Yes. >> Jeffrey Riasy? >> Yes. >> Timothy Wells? >> Absolutely yes. >> And Alex Rappaport. >> He's not on my list. Alex Rappaport? >> Yes. >> All right. >> The vote is unanimous. >> [applause] [applause]

>> ALL RIGHT, I'LL CONTINUE. >> THAT'S OUR LAST ITEM. SO, we're good? >> Speech, speech, we're good. >> I'm good. >> [laughter] >> You're good? All right. >> I'm excited to go. >> All right. >> Congratulations. >> Can I have a motion to adjourn? >> So moved. >> By Mr. Wells. >> Can we congratulate her first? >> Yeah, we actually go right ahead. I know. >> I I just I and I have I apologize that I once again I can't be here in person, but I want to congratulate Dr. Worobec. Um and it's typically in the past when we've had a superintendent come to our district, we've had like a little reception. So, I can't see what's happening in the audience, but I hope there's some cookies or something for you. >> [laughter] >> We're

going to do that in June. >> Okay. And uh welcome Alex Rappaport. You're put on your seat belt, you're in for a >> [laughter] >> It's um you know, one of the most rewarding um positions I think that you could do um for our community is to be involved in the school board. It's It's a you know, it is a thankless job, but it's the probably one of the most rewarding jobs. So, welcome and um I wish you the best of luck. >> Thank you so much. >> That's all. I'm sorry. >> No, no, sorry. Thank you, Carol. That was fantastic. >> so much. >> And uh we were thinking we we would have a little thing in June at a actual at a full meeting, when it's a full meeting and not one at

30. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> All right. Uh motion to adjourn. >> So moved. >> Uh by by Mr. Rappaport, seconded by Mr. Wells. >> Go, Alex. Getting right in there. >> All those in favor? >> AYE. >> [applause] >> YAY! >> [cheering] >> WOW! >> [applause] >> BUDGET AND SUPERINTENDENT
