001foreign okay I will call leading to order then and then Pledge of Allegiance and they want to leave what's oh sorry jumping the gun um here Mrs fingstock yes Mrs Young Mr Sharp here [Music] I pledge allegiance to supply of the United States of America which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all oh yeah and there's Infinity agendas presented there is one slate just slight change and rewarding there but for the executive session instead of to consider the appointment for considering employment a Public Employee will be to discussions so is there a motion to approve the agenda with that slight modification discussion Mr near yes Mrs pigstock yes mrsalm yes Mrs Young yes Mr Sharp yes and then the first item under the communications is public participation and the
002first name on there is Heather you're welcome I'm here to make you aware of a situation that involves my son and believe it is something everybody everybody should be aware of because it will affect everybody I'm not here to judge anyone I'm not here to interject my personal beliefs or speak for anyone else other than my family and myself and I'm not here to make a complaint name any names that provide any information regarding anyone other than my son my son was given a survey which included the question what is your gender he had three choices male female and I don't identify as a gender I honestly never expected to have this question asked of my son nor did I expect to be standing here bringing it to you I have been in communication with
003the teacher and we are a dialogue and I'm grateful for that I have any questions but in the interest of time I'm only asking these are there policies or protocols in place the guided teacher have a response shows students come to them and let them know they identify as a particular gender are there policies or protocols in place that guides a teacher with students addressing students by their preferred pronouns should they have one is there a policy or protocol in place if a student does not use a prefer preferred pronoun with another student is there a policy or protocol in place issuing correction or direction to use that preferred pronoun what happens if they refuse is there a disciplinary policy or protocol in place is there a policy or protocol in place to let parents
004know when a question such as this will be asked of their child is there a policy or protocol in place to let parents know if their child answers what they don't identify as a gender or or a different gender and then this one is actually just a question in general are any of you aware of an evaluation given that requires a percentage of students and the gender they identify as there's no doubt in my mind we are in unknown territory and there are federal state laws along with Constitution and or policies that may be applicable but more importantly I believe that this is something that we can address by bringing representatives from all parts of our community together School Board principals teachers and parents while being respectful of everyone's beliefs and rights I know that
005we all want to be heard I know that we are where we are because we're meant to be here at this time if anyone can figure this out it's us [Music] next time you know this is yeah he was pretty crazy that was pretty I just want to add Heather's comments uh saying I realized that um the teacher that created the questionnaire that she's talking about she may very well have the best of intentions and didn't mean any harm by asking the question and I'm sure that we've all in our sometime in our lives have you know the best of intentions only to find out we upset somebody right things like that happen that being said with you've seen the weekly news reports of schools across the country about this controversial topic right so uh
006you can see out from the outside looking in from our point of view child comes home says I was asked this question that with all that news going on across the country you're thinking okay is this going to be like this the start of this at this school you don't know so that's why we're bringing it up it's not to come in here and cause a stank or upset anybody because it may be harmless but you never know until you bring it up and look into it so I just want to add that because it starts every one of these schools that have these major issues it started one with one thing could be a child belong to a teacher maybe a teacher noticing a child you know an ad questioning them it starts somewhere
007so hopefully that's not the start of that at this school but we'll see and then I have uh one other issue and a question it's not related to this it's been quite some time there was a couple of parents coming to one of the meetings here and they had found CRT related information on the website for the school and they brought it up and I thought well we're coming in tonight see whatever happened to that so it appears that there was a link on the information that went into more in-depth CRT things I mean really in-depth stuff it seemed to be gone but in one document remains and my question is is there um some kind of procedure or something to that you can do to review information that you put out there on your
008website to see if it's you know that should actually be on there and I have a comment it's not about it actually that's uh that information is on by the way if you go to the your main page all the way down to the bottom almost there's a link where it says start talking and then it lists all kinds of there's actually a lot of good information on that information if you notice your kids are on drugs um just there's a ton of information once you click on that link and most every little bit of it is good information this particular information is on this headline no to Define racial terms for teens that's where you'll find white fragility systemic racism microaggressions all this CRT related related stuff it's on that particular PDF no to
009Define racial terms for teens but the comment I want to make is this start talking since it has social good information if you do have a review process to review this information you might want to put that link up where people can see it because it is a lot of there is a lot of good information there that seems kind of buried down at the bottom so that was I just want to make that comment as well something positive but yeah if there's any kind of policy or procedure you can do to look into this I personally in my in my opinion I just don't think there's I don't think this needs to be on the website I think there's other ways to talk about racism and and things like that without having to single
010out one group which is what CR2 does so that's it and to answer your question how that got there that got there because that is provided by the state of Ohio the Board of Education that came right from their website with that particular document so you have to I'm not advocating for it or not advocating for it I'm just giving you the background of where it came from well that's nice to know are you able to as a board or a school to pick and choose what information that you allow out there on your website is that a requirement that yeah that is supposed to be front and center link I don't know the answer to that I just know that when it was brought up about two years ago maybe I think it was
011two years ago we've been pre-covered right after covid um that that is put out by the state of Ohio that is the exact thing from the state of Ohio if I can add one more thing I have no ill will toward the teacher at all I am very grateful that there's an open dialogue going the teacher's been very responsive answering questions and the dialogue still continuing so that's why I said I'm not here to complain about the teacher at all that was not my intent my sole intent was to bring It Forward because I mean most of you know me I've been here for ages like 20 some years um and even with all the goings on in this crazy world in the back of my mind and maybe I'm naive I never thought it
012would have hit our district we are small to you know what I'm saying we're a small community or tightening knit Community we come together when we need to we support each other and I don't think that the question like Micah said was posed to cause any harm um I received feedback as to why it was asked and I get it but I think it's something that as a community we need to start a discussion on and the dialogue to find a way through it because there are so many there are so many parents out there right now that are are high emotions on both sides there are lawsuits I I've counted six just in the past five six months because of this because of the emotion because of the belief systems and whatnot and I
013would hope that we would be able to bring everybody together talk about it and find a way to work through it and path forward that includes everybody because I believe we've always done that for the most part I believe so yeah just and I have to add a little bit more of that I was thinking um you know before we come here that I don't know what I would do I don't know if any of you thought this what would you do if somebody else's child come up to you and said I think I'm a boy when I become a girl I don't even know what I was saying so I felt really bad for teachers to be put in that position to begin with it's just how it's handled and the best the best
014processes and procedures of what you should do from that point I guess is what might make some schools better at it than these others that are in court yeah I will just with the CRT thing just again from what I remember is that that it was on the website as under information for parents and the whole part of that was here's stuff you can discuss with your kids however you receive fit to discuss so to some extent I that I think that's not we're not teaching it at the school per se sort of thing I'm just saying that actual specific item that was on the website was a was included as information for parents to discuss with their kids however they see how are they doing fit just as clarification okay thank you Bob next
015item Emily uh good evening live here on behalf of the student body so first for an athletic update winter sports are in full swing now and we are excited to kick off the season so some new information the student athletic leadership team has been formed or sold as we've been calling it and we have been meeting in the mornings for about three weeks now and we have been collaborating to try to increase student involvement and create a supportive environment for all student athletes um we will be hosting Outreach events uh throughout the year to bolster excitement and school spirit for the upcoming School uh Sport Seasons so meet the team night was last Saturday and I'd say it was a great success we had both boys and girls mini middle school and high school teams
016represented and announced and I think that was a great time for the kids to be there and for everybody to cheer each other on um girls basketball opens the season uh at Westfall this Saturday at 6 PM we're super excited I'll say that boys basketball's first game is November 23rd at St Trace at 7 pm cheerleading will compete on December 3rd at Tates Valley for the MSL game day competition and wrestling will compete at their first tournament in December at West Jefferson so we wish all the sports good luck as they open their business uh the achs drama club put on a successful talent show and had many Great Performances and they are continuing to practice and rehearse for their play in the spring so this club actually went to co-side today and I'm sorry
017the planetarium and visited many other exhibits they will also be performing shark dissections starting next year in January and will be observing an open heart surgery in January as well the National Honor Society took part in Veterans Day activities by setting flags for veterans outside uh in the school parking lot for veterans in our school district and the child care services we've been providing in the morning have been doing great we've gotten a lot of positive feedback from teachers and we've also been fundraising and planning details for our trip to Puerto Rico this June so we're super excited for that the student council has also been meeting and we will be holding a clothing Drive the week of December 12th to donate to local families in our community and they will also be organizing a
018Christmas spirit week and will be started with the Christmas Kickback on that Monday night December 12th um the middle and high school band will be heading to Columbus this Friday to watch the Ohio State band concert they're super excited about that will be a great experience and their Christmas concert will be December 14th at 7 pm so just to wrap up we just uh but on behalf of the student body we want to thank you guys for your continued support and are excited to finish to your office thank you Emily yes acquired the same night as the band or do they do separate now do you know I think it will be separate so okay I'm almost positive enough okay thank you yes all right Hannah FFA Europe good evening I'm here on behalf of
019the Amanda Cooper FFA chapter just to give you a little update on the things that we've been doing um since the last board meeting we went to the National FFA convention in Indianapolis Indiana where we took 43 members this is the most members that we've taken ever to National Convention and it was quite the experience for all of them we got to go to General Sessions hosted by the national officer team to a variety of different agricultural facilities as well as go to the Buckeye bash which is a giant dance for FFA members to meet other members from all across the state of Ohio and everybody had a great time with that we also had two sets of CBE teams competing our national AG issues team consisting of Emily Buckley Autumn Perry Carly Perry Warden
020padry Riley mantesca and Josie Speakman earned a bronze reading and then I competed in extemporaneous public speaking and also received the bronze rating graduate member Stephanie Bowers earned her American degree and this is the highest degree that any FFA member can earn in less than two percent of our organization receives that so that was quite the achievement to be celebrated throughout the week we held our annual fall trap shoot at the greenhouse and then we also had our Hall gross just last week where we were able to take part in food and fellowship with members of our community as well as indulge in some live music and then we just wrapped up our food sale last week so if you ordered the group be expecting to receive that about the middle of December and CDE
021news Carly Claypool Peter Smith and Drew dossman competed in the state finals and animal Management in place 13th overall that is pretty impressive because the team actually typically has four people however only um three of ours Advanced on to the finals so I was very impressive that with only a three-member team we were able to place higher than some four member teams so that was quite impressive Jillian Bennett and Hayden Dunn both placed first in their respective categories in the district job interview contest meaning that they qualify for the state area contest this coming Saturday if they're to win their division they'll then move on to the state finals which is two weeks from Saturday lastly many of our students are diligently working and preparing for many of our upcoming cdes I'm actually right now
022as we speak some of them are done competing in a chapter contest in hopes of being on our upcoming year or our on our upcoming teams so we're all working diligently for everything that is coming in the future some other upcoming events that we have tomorrow night we're holding the state officer leadership night we expect to have about 310 kids from over 20 different schools with three state officers in attendance so this is a great opportunity for our students to learn a lot while also meeting a lot of other members we are having our holiday food drive next week in conjunction with the fire department where we'll set out bags this week and then go back the following to pick up any food that was left out and then we also have our monthly FFA
023meeting and then our monthly breakfast and then the last thing we have are Columbus zoo light strip coming up that'll be the last day um in school before Christmas parade and as always we just want to say thank you for your continued support of our chapter we greatly appreciate it thank you okay thank you Hannah I mean I wish you guys would do something um thank you that is all for public participation so the next item I guess I got on there work session update that's what we were doing when we got here for anybody was curious we're going over reviewing our board policy stuff which is really exciting stuff to do so January then maybe approving the final updates that need to be made coming into January first reading of December or perhaps approve
024it all in January with needed changes from whatever science stuff um student achievement liaison legislative this is quiet um they haven't really made any changes since last month so raise that so I also had nothing to get into it all right building principles all right I'll go ahead and start so over the primary things are going really well our students are working hard and taking care of business every day our teacher of the month this year is Becky Willard uh man what can I say about her she's amazing she shows up every day for the kids she works hard she's probably exhausted tonight as we're wrapping up literacy ninth um it is a busy Frank frantic time making sure everything's ordered and everything's prepared but she really gives our students 100 and um it's exciting
025and you can tell how much the kids love her um our support staff member of the month is Jennifer Carruthers if you don't know her she is one of our full-time Subs that tells you a lot right there that she's listed here because she comes in every day a lot of times it's a mystery day not knowing who she might be or what she might be doing um she jumps in with a positive to attitude all the time she could be floating here and there she could be three different people in one day no matter what she stays upbeat and excited the kids enjoy her every day and I just appreciate how flexible she is because it's not an easy job just to show up and not necessarily know what you're gonna do but she
026always does it 100 percent last Friday we had our Veterans Day gathering over in the 77 gym it was such a wonderful way to honor our veterans and to educate our students along the way about what it means to be a veteran and also what it means to be an American I just want to thank the choir the band members our second grade students Ms stunts Hussein the national anthem it just makes it so exciting to see all those different students over for our students to see them and all the activities that they have to look forward to one day and most importantly let's be honest primary we have kids aging from three to eight sometimes it's it's a little hairy I'll be honest it gets a little it gets a little hairy all right
027right yeah he's fine he's in elementary but at our Veterans Day assembly I could not believe how much our students had grown from our first Aces quarterly award to then they sat so respectfully they listened throughout the whole assembly my heart grew two two times and I don't even know how that's possible but everybody that was there talked about how well our students did and that is just a Testament of the kiddos that we have um last but not least oh man literacy night tonight and it was a blast I have to apologize I'm not going to take the full blame but the weather this evening blame my snow meets up at the primary building that was our theme this year was a complete snow thing theme we have snowflakes hanging down and lots of
028snow books it's our fault that this snow is here this evening but the kids had an awesome time thank you to our entire staff they don't get paid extra to stay after you do these things but they plan for weeks to make sure that their door is the best and that their engaging activity is number one and I just appreciate appreciate that wholeheartedly um we talk a lot about how practice makes perfect or not perfect progress practice makes progress and today uh parents left to the whole bag full of tools that they could use with their student at home to encourage it encourage that reading process our students and family I mean we've got the best let's be honest and I say that wholeheartedly watching them engage this evening hearing the manners of our students
029watching them listen to OU hockey players read books but please and thank yous in the cafeterias they had dinner it was awesome finally Miss Schaefer one of our nutrition team members stayed and helped serve dinner this evening so I want to give her a shout out but I really appreciate it made the process very smoothly this evening we had 167 families come and participate that is more than double the amount of families we had last year so it's just a huge Testament to our staff and all the hard work that that is going on and a cold day where rather be than a primary so last but not least we clean this classroom of the month goes to Mrs bebop's class good job beehive and last but not least the Best Manners this comes from
030our nutrition team those pleases and thank yous and excuse me in cleaning up their own space goes to Mrs Awards class so great job ACP families and students keep it up now on to Mr President was the two hard thing to get ready for the Christmas season every Saturday and Sunday morning she had several nominations in our survey that went out uh some of the kind of things that parents and students said about her she cares and always goes above and beyond she goes above and beyond don't hesitant doesn't hesitate to reach out to parents to keep an open line of communication she makes my son feel like he's hurt and it's very understanding of his needs she doesn't give answers but these students until they understand she's very kind and caring she makes learning
031fun my son comes home every day he'll be telling me all the fun that stuff he's learning about he enjoys going to school every day because he is surrounded by a wonderful teacher so that's this little one our October teacher of the month uh last Friday we had our Veterans Day assembly uh my favorite part about this is some students have lots of different activities throughout the elementary um but my favorite part is when the veterans are display um uh their memorabilia uh to the students they've got they come out they have tables set up uh there's pictures there's Awards there's all kinds of things kids get to flip through those books to have conversations with our veterans it's a really special time after Mr mounts presented the elementary school with a challenge coin an
032appreciation of the workers staff does to put on our investors day assembly uh they brought actually brought tears to my eyes um and what we're working on now to get a display in the elementary office to the space challenge Queens um one final thing I would also like to thank the board and the community once again uh since the last time we talked our playground has been finished and the surface is all done and our kids are really enjoying the new two pieces of equipment background there so if you haven't seen it check it out thank you um [Music] the screen was Jasmine and cartilage and we got around 7th grade Shannon Riley and Tim McGraw made great Elena lover and Jeffrey Delaney and our October staff member of the month was Miss Annie those
033nominations for staff member of the month are submitted um by students so students have the opportunity to submit the nomination and then say from our PBIS model what characteristic the teacher demonstrated and then I shared those with the teachers each month um on October or sorry on Friday November 4th 140 students who qualified for the first quarter InCentric had the opportunity to jump at get air and indoor trampoline park in Pickerington so that was a fun experience um I did not go on the truck however when I when they were coming back and monitoring um them getting their book back and heading back to class they were completely exhausted so I think that was um they definitely met their goal there um at middle school we had 50 50 families attend our heritage of conference
034parenting or conferences on Tuesday November 8th which was a strong turnout teachers provide our parents with great data including the students first quarter grade first quarter short cycle assessment scores strengths in regards to standards areas of growth in regards to Spaniards and then suggestions for improvement so our conferences our team conferences and the parents have the opportunity to meet with all of their students teachers last Friday the Middle School concluded in the Chelsea's Christmas coin collection the middle school students demonstrated kindness by bringing in over 600 pounds of coins the generation will help local families in need also last Friday uh middle school students had the opportunity to attend the first Middle School Dance the theme was a red carpet Mass parade and students attire did not disappoint um teachers are working diligently every day
035to close the gap at the middle school and math deficits and reading deficits during our intervention period and at the rate students will switch to their next work tuition on Saturday November 12th the hbms middle school band had three students participate in the Ohio music Education Association district 15 Middle School honor band at Thomas Worthington High School there are 40 schools who had students participate in the event two weeks prior to the concert students were sent music to practice on their own Samantha Buckley who's in seventh grade Elena leopard who's an 8th grade and Declan Patterson who's also an 8th grade representative of management middle school so that was an amazing experience that they got to participate in and practiced them and put on a concert that afternoon um and then finally into some upcoming
036dates uh November 23rd starts our Thanksgiving break and then students will be out of the building but we're not following Monday on the 28th on November 30th there is a two-hour delay so our last two hour delay for the 2022 here um and then on December 20th is the end of our second quarter and the end of our first semester so students will be taking their short cycle assessments toward the end of December for the second nine weeks I'll just say that I know Van Gundy was one of the teachers you were scrambling to fill a spot there at 10 years so well done because she was all right at the high school our staff member of the month was Auburn Klein line as chosen by the students that she serves Mrs Klein's in charge
037of digital academy and um when you ask high school students what they think about people the answers are always kind of fun and they're brief but because she's very helpful and true she helps me stay focused and is reasonable and she likes to help when you're having a bad day she cares about the kids she's very nice and makes us feel alert and keeps us on task and doesn't scoop off and then the best one is because this one was um because she the best that was written bece because so that was outstanding we also had our students of the month races a month um and uh they were nominated by staff members for their hard work and I've owned the aces way you know artwork dedication and citizenship go a long way Brady Decker
038Aubrey friesner Katie Marie snacks our Alex Schreiber Carly Claypool Miguel Lobo and or on our basis in a month or month in October yeah we had a great turnout from parenting conferences as well we conducted those in a group fashion so you can only come in and as a parent and meet with one group of people instead of trying to find all six or seven teachers to put them all together it makes a lot better for the parents to uh to be able to have a conversation with one team of people um students in grades six through ten have been given a survey we talked about the last time I was here about looking at the different Pathways we're talking about just getting student input of what they see themselves taking and right now a
039manufacturing pathway has the the greatest lead uh closely followed by an I.T backflip so where can I get some input to see which one could be most most likely to be filled with students so we'll keep you updated on that um Dr Edwards and I are going to be working with some Community Partners to help Shore up some of those things and we've probably identify backwards [Music] um but we also start reviewing our program studies and plan on presenting you with a refined and streamlined set of courses and course titles so they make sense and they're easy for parents and students to follow and follow their plan for the high school career path um kind of aligning our course names with what they actually are and make it very clear and making it so students
040can look at if I am a college-bound student they can have a Graphic that shows them which path they want to follow and then okay this will ask this class in this class and this one and given the options laid out in an easy to look at format [Music] um we have submitted our applications being considered purple star status as divided by the Ohio Department of Education the purple star designation is meant to highlight schools that are military friendly and make efforts of support military-connected families and students that application has been submitted and we'll work on a few things to help boost what we are doing to support a military connected families one of those is adding a student committee to direct the high school's Veterans Day program next year and take it out of
041the adults hands and put it into the student community and let them take leadership for what that looks like going forward um and on that same note in the coming weeks we'll be adding over 150 new names to the veterans wall and the cafeteria which will necessitate adding the whole panel we're running out of space and what's currently there so we'll have to add a whole other panel to fit that need and then finally um Andrews and Alex drum two students in doing a community service project are collecting donations of non-perishable items to submit care packages that will be sent to the local military service members credit deployed or being deployed so [Music] thank you thank you all as always that is all the communications section so we will move on agenda first item is
042accept the Amendments from the previous on a variety of names I've mentioned from the previous meeting of October 19 which is attachment one approve November substitute list number four is presented by the Fairfield County ESC the November substitute list also number four presented by the Pickaway County ESC which attachments two and three pages 1923 you'll learn agenda they accept donations we have a pumpkin donations to the AC preschool from song Farms donation of softball scoreboard from AC athletic boosters donation for baseball scoreboard donation from Jim and Michelle did I say that sure um to the elementary of a thousand dollars first Fairfield County retired teachers Grant uh accept that of 250 and then Amanda Clear Creek staff donation for the American Red Cross hurricane created funds of 2 205. is there a motion to accept
043that consent agenda second discussion yes okay there are um minutes and hopefully didn't change with listing the members present and then adding that was a song on at 709 to the world Hall as well as then on the agenda where I think okay any other discussion all right roll call thank you yes this is Young yes this is yes Mr Rainier yes yes I know again just stress for all those thousands of people watching at home I'm sure they're out there but this is how we appreciate the donation as we've always it's always very helpful to give any of the donations but especially when you look at items like the scoreboards and things where you're looking at thousands of dollars in individual families even for one thousand dollars very much appreciated treasure recommendations yeah that's
044what we did last time okay on page 24 Begins the financial report um that's pretty straightforward some of the highlights are the general fund recipes thousand dollars to 493. um part of that was the state Foundation settlement we did receive an income tax deposits investment earnings producer tuition and then they did receive some reimbursements from the state for our manufacturers and taxes and things would be again the reimbursements they give us for Homestead and rollbacks overall our revenues have been increased by 354 thousand dollars we do we are receiving obviously some more from the income tax collections as those have no limits to what we can collect so it's two percent for 15 years there's no limiting factors um and then the change in state funding again and until the end of December we'll see
045some anomalies because we did not actually implement the state funding until January at which time we did journal entries to adjust for the entire fiscal year so November and December as well as October is going to look a little off because we were still recognizing Revenue um as we were in 2019 because even though we had they had implemented or they had passed the plan for new school funding they actually didn't implement it until January because the state wasn't ready to roll it out with the new with their software so you'll see those over the next two months so it'll create some I think it'll look a little different but we'll walk through that if anybody has any questions um interest earnings for the month of October were 21 351 dollars um so as the
046FED raised the rate last month um the ICS account has been raised to two and a half percent um and the rest of our investments as well have been going off um we should be able to see some significance income which I'll talk about more in the forecast for this year and then some years moving forward of course the FED moves up and down and you know it rates move up and down volatility is always a problem but we're trying to um we have a little more income than we normally have so I want to make sure we recognize that so that's good um the expenditures we were 2 million 54 251 dollars and the total trucks were open were 2 million 30 00 because I'm missing the number 330. that's in the zero um
047our expenditures are up about 750 000 from October um that is due mostly due to the playground we play paid for um the playgrounds um and so we had a transfer so that's almost six hundred thousand dollars um there's much an increase in salary and benefits of course which we've talked about um due to the increasing positions we've added based on the needs of our students um purchase Services were up slightly I did have a question um post to me about what those uh purchase Services were or why they were up slightly mostly it's due to special education we have an increase of about 136 000 in expenses for the month of October um it is not alarming at all um we actually paid for some of our services that we typically pay for our
048ingredients out of the general fund as the recommendation from the e to pay um some of our expenses first and then use the Grant's second those expenses will exceed what we get in Grants we will fully use up the grants we're just going to pay for those later you'll also see some changes because the EFC over the last couple of years have tried to work with the districts to kind of change the way they build because we've changed that building quite a bit um so they are actually billing for the full actual numbers versus projected numbers and then they would try to do an adjustment so they're falling in different months um and when I say that it's the the ESC classrooms that we have students in that creates is purchase service expenditures so that's
049actual expenditure that you're talking about um if you'd like any more information on those I did run some reports just to ensure because we have talked about purchase Services also um is where we expand our utilities um so I wanted to double check those and you know make sure we've got reports on those but just make sure to look at those we still are seeing significant Savings in those areas um so that um so that's in purchase Services yes um and the difference over um I want to say up slightly I'm talking about his computer to October of 21. again because of this way we change um our we book our revenues and we book our expenses um through the state Foundation open enrollment transfers out to the students that we were losing that expenditure
050was coming through purchase services and that is no longer the case in October 22 where it was in 21. so that's about a fifty thousand dollar savings to us over October of 21. finally overall our revenues exceeded our expenditures by about 186 242 we continue to closely monitor our salary benefits um the current general fund balance is 17 million one hundred eighty nine thousand 551 with about 1.8 million in encumbrances that are total available cash balance is 15 million 342 663. did anybody have any questions on any of the documents I provided in the standard report there's the same things that you received and maybe touched a little bit on our open enrollment are we up on open enrollment this year or we have more credit union going out or are we kind of we
051actually uh we're discussing that Dr Edwards and I um met and did some famous things today and we were discussing that um as of right now and it changes it changes daily um we did have and I'll when I get into this we have to talk a little bit about student enrollment because I have there's one graph in there that's skewed because we were we had a data issue um so we tracked that down and we're able to get it corrected however I needed to get the forecast to you it doesn't affect the forecast we're on the guarantee I want to hang out the forecast to you um with a caveat that we have it's not part of the forecast it's part of the visuals that we provide to you so it had no impact
052um so as we looked at it today we actually are doing much much better we have about 67 students that are up and out which I believe last year at this time we had about a hundred students that were open and wrote out so we certainly are doing better um we are aware cognizant of the fact that there may be a few more students that we just don't know about to so that will be but certainly it won't be 23 students so I feel like we definitely have had a game in that area where we don't have quite as many kids we've administered yeah so it looks a lot better that we don't have as many students in the district that they're staying here so do we how we look at those students who left
053the district or they go into parochial schools or are they homeschooling or do you have any idea why they're not here I mean some of them have are going to private schools based on their needs like do you have any idea what those students are doing we can um run that report and find out where those students have gone one of the things we worked on today was we looked at some of the specifics when we met on one of the programs available through medical with this one specifics to dive into the details of exactly how they're coded and what's happening so I'm just curious yeah but we were very encouraged with students affected by so does the money follow the student yes so it's it's sort of but we are on the guarantee so
054we get meaning we're going to get a set amount of money regardless of how many students we have up until we hit a certain number and we you know kind of try to make sure we know where that number is um so it's not changing our um Foundation payment really so we get what's called transitional funding I can go through that and even if we're on the guarantee the state gives us X number of matching dollars for each student we have but when the student goes out we have to pay that to the other school we don't do that anymore we're not doing it anymore that's why purchase Services okay so we don't have any money going to whatever school they're going to at all when they open and roll somewhere else yeah so the
055bank doesn't follow the students so they're no longer follows the student the funding so if a student open enrolls at Lancaster cities so we don't get the funding for that student automatically it's the Lancaster City Schools we don't have to pay it so we're not getting it and we and likewise yes that's why the purchase services and then the revenues have changed and looked differently and I've tried to adjust a little bit of the five-year border report so you can actually make it Apples to Apples comparison um because you don't have that in and out because it's just we're counting the kids that we're educating and that's what we're getting paid on the state's not looking at where did this kid come from um not for regular animal special ed we still have the excess
056costs um calculations and stuff where we can say hey Lancaster City we have your child and it's cost a sex amount of dollars here's what we received here's what Joe was so I'll just put that catalog in there are there any other questions I'm just curious about the solar and how the days are shorter and we have less Sunrise we don't have solar what was it that we we did controls so it's um yes yes so now that we're actually into so we've been very poor obviously it's going to give us savings because it's shutting things down and things but we've also have very temperate weather so it'll be nice to see as we head into winter when we're using more energy how much savings we're able to to um get from from those upgrades
057I thought you're going to ask me about solar Farms they've lived taxes I was like oh don't I'm not sure oh sorry all right another question about what's that I'll need a motion to approve the financial reports or seven two seconds any other discussion don't call so we're just approving the financial report you know the rest but find your fullness right okay correct just the one we just discussed just okay the monthly Financial reports okay are you ready for roll call I'm sorry yes um Mr anian yes Mrs Young yes Mrs pink stock yes this is Sam yes Mr Sharp yes okay so all right so in your packet I email it to you a little bit prior to give you more time to digest um The Five-Year forecast um before I get started is
058it was there any specific questions that you want me to start with otherwise I'll go through kind of hit some highlight questions that um I have asked that I want to make sure I wrote a review okay um so on page 49 which is Page four um of the forecast um and he threw me the whole thing first and then give away all the good stuff um this is what goes over your Revenue sources so as you can see the new state funding plan is based on um a lot of factors but one of the factors is local capacity which means what is our ability as a local community to fund our schools um so as you can see from 22 to 27 2022 to 2027 that will change a little bit based on our
059collections of our state funding um a lot of that change is going to be because of the income tax collections so we'll see that change over time the graph in the middle of that page actually the middle graph on most of the pages are the percentage change so not raw numbers but actually a percentage of how much does that change year over year um I pointed out a few times throughout the forecast that in in um 2019 there was a transfer done it was an internal transfer it had no material effect on our financial position at all it was a zero Net Zero transfer um but it skews a lot of these percentage changes because it looks like we um had a negative I think that says 38.45 in Revenue we did not actually have
060that it's because it moved within the general front fund from one part of the general fund to the next part of the general fund so you'll see the same effect in the expense side so it actually is a zero so if you start looking at um 21 22 23 as we adjust back to normal you can see that our revenues are declining as a percentage of our total which is quite normal throughout 2027. um I noticed in 24 are projected to expenditures exceeds on Revenue that's all we needed those I was curious what is happening is there something happening that here that triggers that so say that again 2024 what the expenditures are projected to exceed the revenue yeah that's the only year that it does I was just curious like we are projected to
061um or we we have included um I believed in the assumptions um to pay off our debt so we have borrowed the money we don't have to do that this is just saying this is the plan at the moment um but with that in there that does show that we are showing it what I'm going to call operating loss for the for the year 2024. fiscal year 2024 which is next year that payoff is about 2.5 million dollars um so as you can imagine if we don't pay 2.5 million dollars then that adjusts to that that won't be a negative error depending on the interest rate of the time that we are eligible to do it without penalty we'll make sure we look at it completely getting consensus of how we're going to move forward
062so we've been projecting that for the last year and a half once we had financed it it's uh if we still have the money or still have a carryover we will pay that down but we Finance it I think the total with the cost of financing so the cost of debt it I want to say 2.25 I need to look it up so it was 1.67 plus yeah it was 1.67 and the cost to debt added something yeah um added some percentage to it so it's relatively low to where we're now receiving 2.5 to 3 star high was at three percent the last time I looked at it um so we're receiving quite a bit of money um from our investment so we can we'll look at that again coming into January of course it's
063going to be election season I do think the markets will be volatile and we'll see kind of what's going on at that time but um so on page 50. was property values so general property tax so for um class one which is our residential our AG we are the 20 Mill floor this or not fiscally either tax year 2022 was a reappraisal year so the um the land in Fairfield County was reappraised we have not received those actual numbers yet um they did just certify them at the auditor's office uh late last week I did email the author and the real estate person told me that 20 Fairfield County as an average was 24 that he didn't have the numbers ready for us some areas were higher some areas were lower um for the purpose
064of our forecast we kind of looked at everything and 24 across all classes um what we used for the forecast uh was 21.71 [Music] um for class one I didn't pull Class 2 out of the logarithm because we have such a small percentage of commercials um so pretty much 21.71 is what we use so we should um we'll update that as soon as we have it come today we'll have a better prediction um knowing now what the values will be for this year so they do a reappraisal every six years and then an update every three years so we won't see that's why every three years you see a jump in property values because we're at the 20 month floor with um which I know you guys have heard this a few times with residential
065and AG we'll start start to see more of an adjustment so we will collect more taxes um year over year being at the 20 Billboard so thank you and we always yeah so that's one of the um the Consultants we use to develop help develop the forecast for our district um our experts in taxes um and they have lots of inputs they use to predict taxes or try to forecast taxes because again it's a guesstimate this isn't a document that approves anything it doesn't it just gives a financial picture for the district um that the public can see that you know ode uses to determine our financial health and it I try to make it a document that you guys want to use to make decisions by that you know that it's as transparent as
066we can possibly be with you know what we are um predicting will happen um the question always comes up and all those in there that'll do the um interest earnings and how that's affected um but the question always comes up is you know what capital product because capital projects are a big it's a lot of money what capital projects are you know are put in the forecast um for the November forecast which this is our first submitted forecast um Dr Edwards and I sat down and reviewed what do we know with very high probability that we're going to do doesn't commit the board to anything doesn't say that it's appropriated this is what are the high probability things we're going to do that could affect the workout so you're seeing in real time what kind
067of what this financial picture looks like um in may we will do we'll have a better update because we'll now we'll be at the history actually real numbers in there um because things will come up for example we had no idea the bus lift was going to go out and the bus lift has ended up being I think around an 80 000 expenditure that we weren't expecting and that happened a year and a half ago and we're still waiting on some cards to finish it up um but it's not something that we would have put in the forecast because we had no idea would fail um but we're able because there's an update to the forecast you're able to pick up that expense and get it in the forecast so come May you'll really have
068a good picture of um actual information as well as what we're looking forward to doing the following year for Capital items um so I have that explanation makes sense on let me tell you what page and I'll tell you what we included in this forecast um 63 which is page 18 of the forecast um we included the purchase of one diesel bus and then we did include the district's portion which we'll talk about later in the discussion items of the electric School Bus project which was about fifty thousand dollars so those are the only thing two things we put in capital outlay now because we utilize that oath refund which is outside this is only 001 and general fund um we do trades first out of the general fund to fund the 003 because we
069do not have a tax base um to collect from Forever agree so no levies for that fund um there were some other items of course like the playgrounds and those come into um you see those I think in other objects um um oh good on page 64. Justin it shows that 2 million six hundred and sixteen thousand dollars being paid in 2020 see it um and I like is on page 66 the total other financing uses is where we transfer out so for 2022 and 2023 respectively we had 611 000 for 22 which was last year and then I've got 655 000 and that includes um the transfer that we just did last month which covered the new playgrounds um it also covers the development of the master facility plan which we were guesstimating to
070be around 25 000 based on the um uh quotes that we had received um we do not believe at this time that we'll have to make any transfers into food service or Athletics as we've had to do prior to last year um so we're predicting this they both have decent balances right now um um and you think that oh and the replacement of flooring um in the office areas so if you've been in the high school elementary middle school or even up at the primary lately a lot of our carpets are almost right there and that has been yeah it's becoming a safety issue and tripping and things like that so we want to get we want to get those replaced that's been discussed in facilities probably for a year and a half now during
071those meetings so we want to um course code would put everything on hold so we want to address those so we did include a hundred thousand dollars for flooring for office areas and we think that's um there's not carpeted any place we have carpet it's okay yeah other things that are wearing out on the floor but it sounds like so when you say offices it's the carpeted areas yeah and you can are they going to re-carpet those are they going to go with a solid surface or the equilibrium we're not sure um the doctor Edwards if I speak to this as well um Jordan and the custodians and maintenance they've talked about doing an LBT and kind of a combination flooring um we talked about using carpet squares in places where of course very common
072is an assailed and making sure that something that doesn't sort of sound so that there's areas remain quiet but at the same time the maintenance of these floors carpet's the hardest thing to maintain so being able to sweep and hold everything yeah in the high traffic areas out there yeah sound down some of the flooring though anymore even if it's not carpet kind of helps with sound whatever the Pergo whatever is to commercial grade there is one particular uh type that Mr Lee went and to another school and looked at that has some cell deadening it's a hard surface but has some cellular thing built into it did you like it yeah so we'll definitely look into that and hopefully then they'll also be able to see some savings maybe even with maintenance they think
073they can just clean it faster as a daily routine so that'll certainly save us or create some efficiencies as well okay so the last page of the forecast is actually the forecast um the whole the whole document is submitted to the state the required document is the very last page 67. it is on page 67 yeah page 22. um I always call it the over under the most important line which is 6.010 so it's about three quarters way down it says excess of Revenue over slash under expenditures and that shows you kind of what the net of our revenues and expenses are as you can see we would have net gains um 23 as we've been predicting all along um 24 would be a negative 25 then would go back to be a positive and
07426 and 27 would also be not positive um we feel we have done a pretty precise job with salaries and benefits however keep in mind there are no Capital items in here moving out so it's not necessarily you know we know we're going to have to replace some boilers over the next few years and so we will as we come up on those within a reasonable time frame to go yeah we know we're going to do it and this year we know we're going to do it that year we can start plugging it in um I've been under the impression it's not something that we want to we have our Capital our separate spreadsheet that we share with the board regularly with our Capital Improvement items but until it's actually hitting a radar we're actually
075going ahead and forecast it because then it becomes confusing when we have stuff come up like something like a bus lift that's a hundred thousand dollars it's like okay well what's actually included on all this and how's this going to affect this um so even though it looks like we have access you know a very high balance there are still some big ticket items that will need to be done on the school buildings plus as we finish this master facility plan in the spring we at that time prior to the May update can really take a look at what we're actually going to do and start plugging some numbers in there you know addressing the band room or a multi-purpose facility or purchasing a piece of land or moving the bus whatever it comes out
076that the school district would like to do we can plug it in at that time that's certainly going to have effect on those carryover balances um [Music] the Esther funds coming out and not going back in Victoria general fund that's part of this yes again in 2024 uh okay yes and then we're predicting for cash balances of 17 to 20 000. we're predicting cash balances of 17 and 20 thousand dollars billion yeah yes again she mentioned that some of those Capital things aren't in there but when I see that I see we definitely need to look real hard at our strategic plan and some of the things we might want or need or of course with the different facility things we've discussed and and do it because we're ugly um you know and while you're
077looking at those things um it occurred to me the other day since driving by the school during the day um you know years ago a couple teachers had been together to get a grant for a sign out front electric spine and the um City at that time said no because it would be a traffic Hazard for people looking at the sign I think we're one of the very few schools that no longer has a sign out front that like displays upcoming things or like you know when you're driving by and you see all the cars here there's nothing on the front that says anything um right it's not a big deal but it's kind of sad that we don't have something we should have it in both buildings too yeah we should tonight I didn't
078know where the late night was I thought it was in this building is it not really yeah that was my failure but right but still How We Do yeah I mean we have the website that we're supposedly gonna have updated soon right but yes um so yeah it just seems like you need to do something to give back to the community because they're the ones who's giving us all of this and that's one thing that some community members I think would value when we're looking at those kind of excesses which is something we never thought we would see that we certainly need to give back to the community who's really I don't know yeah I was here for the um Awards program or something and all of those friends anyway that was when um Mr
079rostovich actually did a ribbon cutting on her own playground and it was really nice and he invited everybody to come out and he thanked everybody it was it was meaningful and unlike you that's something the community can see right and they can use they can use it all summer long you know for their kids or I don't know if you're ever here in the summer but when I'm here in the Summer Running there's always kids you know on the playground equipment and using different things so just kind of like us to think about that like what things could we do that nobody cares to see what comes up but so yeah one of the things that's been discussed because that's fine Mr Dick and I had discussed several times what can we what can we
080do front what we can do yeah but one of the other things was the 77 gym and what's important to our community and that Jim is very important to our community oh yeah notarizing our bleachers doing some upgrades to it fixing the lobby in the bathrooms getting air conditioning in the gym so it can be easy around so it's things like that too because they are they just um you know realize it's a great job I love it slicer like they're more comfortable it is a nicer gym it really is yeah it's definitely a gem in our district that we would make sure we maintain it but yeah for sure the thing is without so we have a two percent and it's awesome and we're so thankful to the community for it you know we're
081not going to go back to the community for a bond issue if we want to build bills so we have to we're not we're not a savings alone we're not holding on to this money but it's that we have to make sure we're you know using it for the things that we need to address our student issues and to you know do things that matter so it's not as alarming as oh my gosh we have all this excess money we don't necessarily because we do have some good things that we need to be doing which design is one of them I agree totally um that's been talked about since I've been here the last couple of years um so the important parts is because continue to move forward with the facility master plan and make
082some decisions about yes we want to do this yes we want to do this um meaning um last week when we did our Dental planning um just a bunch of scenarios around that as well of it could look like a lot of different things and just planning for the future and turn that money into something that lasts 30 years so the capital conference and I happened to run into at the end of a session and was talking to probably my incident which probably a small world scenario ended up being his daughter is dating the most snow so when he asked whereas Grandma you know of us and he's like well yes but anyways he's a superintendent of a school weapon I had he had he could be a good resource in two things one they
083just put in a facility like four years ago they call it a community center but it keeps in the space it actually has an indoor walking Track s a meeting room for the community to use and they actually do a an annual it's 25 for one key card for a household okay and literally put that facility is available to the community from 5am to midnight seven days a week all year round they want to go in they can scan with your car to get in and use the walking Track use the gym whatever weight room Etc um which is kind of interesting as an idea too but again we kicked around the idea of what the preschool if we want to expand it we don't really have the whole room up there and so you
084know in my head I'm thinking gosh what kind of a combo facility again footprint is going to be the big issue because we put together that would maybe be a little stay in the preschool but included like this community center idea was space because when the weather got bad kids could go into that area and play around outside for inside enough so I don't know I mean it's just possibilities there and the nice thing is obviously we didn't have to ask somebody from the community Edition or do that so but yeah so I think when you see those numbers it's like that if those are being as needs that we need to definitely move forward with them you know you don't want to rush through it and do a hasty job at it but it's
085certainly something that we've got the means to do it we've been given thankfully the means to do it so spend it once that's right suspenders wisely and get the most out of what we can so yeah yeah um so one of the things I had mentioned earlier that I want to make sure I point out is on page um eight of the forecast which is Page 53. um the district educated enrollment that is our student numbers as you can see from fiscal year 22 that fiscal year 23 it looks like we lost 100 students we did not lose 100 students we were having data issues again um I can give you next month some updated numbers do you know what that looks like and again because we're on the guarantee it really had an impact
086which is why I decided to go ahead and get the um forecast out to you so you can see the numbers and see what see what it was looking like to ask for your approval knowing that these enrollment numbers were not correct that 23-27 are not correct correct these are not correct okay because I have we're dropping an enrollment no we are not um that's why I thought the kindergarten class and the Latin first grade classes yes we had actually so we have a clear connection between the CTE that we have to code each student a certain way and those students have not been coded yet so it did not look like we really had another great class at all which obviously we have eight graders so we had to go back in and fix
087some stuff before they would actually be reflected in there so we fiscal year 22 it fiscal year 23 is actually will be more students in fiscal year 22. so um can you just like give us this one-page updated yep I'll provide that next month of that graphic so you can see actually where our district district enrollment um is and um you know something that we as important to us we want to keep an eye on to make sure we know you know as students come and go throughout the school year where our class sizes are individually and stuff because that's obviously it's going to be impactful part of the conversation we'll have later in the board meeting with um the architect um that hopefully we'll be working on the facility plan one of the things
088they will do is a very in-depth enrollment survey um so they're going to do a lot more in-depth review of what our enrollment will look like in projections I'm I'm very excited they use auditor data they use you know capacity data things like that to say here's what we think your normal is going to be in five years or ten years um and then we that'll be an interesting discussion so we'll get more on that as well but I certainly will provide you with actual numbers for fiscal year 23 and then we can predict on how progress of it because a lot of times what we do in the forecast will take the last five years of data and then we'll replicate that trend um in the next five years with some input of other
089environmental issues or other issues going on um for enrollment the last five years has been kind of crazy especially with covid um and some other things that were going on so we really can't use that as really what we think is going to happen because we don't anticipate going down [Music] yeah so um [Music] the last thing I have quickly is the interest income um and where that is reflected um on page 56 it's page 11 of the um forecast we have we are predicting for this year based on current interests um approximately two hundred thousand dollars in income for interest in um earnings earnings and interesting so we kind of just copied took that and pushed it out so we didn't see a whole lot of difference the reason being is we know that
090rates are going to adjust quite a bit over the next couple of years so um you know not to overstate something we always want to predict on the conservative side um so we didn't like have increasing as the cash balances increase obviously interest is going to increase in interest rates remain the same so I am not you know an expert but I think that they will probably be somewhere in the ballpark but they could possibly be a little lower um once they get to a certain level so that's why we kind of just copied out that two hundred thousand dollars through the rest of the um the only thing I had had a question on I want to make sure I find it out says okay [Music] foreign discussion additional discussion about that thank you
091Mr John yes Mrs pink stock yes Mrs song yes Mr in here yes Mr Sharp yes then we got to the approved the AOS commercial paper reporting school year pray to the attachment 6 page 69 and 70. discuss that after we did because it's only two pages so as soon as 50 seconds so now what what's what is this it's just tell us about this that's an annual reporting um a couple years ago Ohio Revised Code changed um that said that you needed to approve um or I need it's not really approval as much as it is a acknowledgment that I had given to you the commercial paper that we own um so that you can see all of the no um there's an eye off the top of my head at nine o'clock at
092night for you there's percentages but um and that's one of the things red tree does for us is they take our entire portfolio and they make sure that we stay compliant because you can only do a certain percentage in the CDs and bank accounts and well I mean you do all make accounts but in commercial paper or in municipal bonds so they make sure that we maintain our our percentages and that we're complying at all times um they also track so we have Fifth Third as you can see from the Casual facilities and Fifth Third Kingston National Bank um in the ICS account within the ICS account there are maybe 50 60 different banks um they actually monitor all that making sure that we do not exceed fcic limits um for those Banks and things
093so for example Fifth Third can't sell us a CD for a bank that we already have money invested through Kingston because it's FDIC it's us and it doesn't matter what other bank has it invested so they keep us compliant with all that so and this is something you'll see annually um commit or does it just our interest kind of like a CD kind or an interesting yes so it has a Time period um yeah so it doesn't every month you don't see necessarily a yield from it because there's a time period um actually they contacted me a couple weeks ago and said that that they've got some commercial paper that's um five percent right now as I say we'll just actually make more and the other thing is you know the there's only certain things
094that schools can do not just anybody can yeah you and I can't just call up and say hey yeah any other discussion Mr John yes this is big stop yes Mr Rainier yes that's the song yes yes superintendent recommendations uh two members of classified Staff first Susan Morrison cook cashier three and a half hours affected 1031. and Adam Douglas custodian Step Zero second from the second discussion all right roll call this is pinkstock yes Mrs song yes Mr and Aaron yes Mrs Young yes Mr Sharp yes next approved tutor for swearing Stars after school program as we progress through the program there's more individuals that are added one as tutors and collaboration with Ohio University Lancaster and uh that is one that's added motion um any discussion no call Mr Sam yes Mrs Young yes
095Mrs pinkstock yes Mr O'Neill yes Mr Sharp yes student clinical placement Shayla Finn University of Toledo always nice whenever we can get students do student clinicals within our buildings with our staff and hopefully they like Amanda Clear Creek and they're willing to come back moves two seconds discussion roll call Mr Rainier yes Mrs Young yes Mrs pink stock yes this is Sam yes Mr Sharp yes approved volunteer for the 22 23 school year as listed for classifieds volunteers and Athletics first time all right second 50 seconds discussion it's a nice long list so again we appreciate it always willing to donate their time to volunteers roll call yes this is pink stock yes Mrs Young Mr Rainier yes Mr Sharp yes that was him with the last time that wasn't the athletic moment for some
096reason okay uh that's all for your thing we move on new business uh first item proof resolution for the purple star designation you see it there I can read the whole thing um but that is what uh Mr Dennis discussed earlier about um as a military friendly designation so is there a motion for that um second discussion so this is a way that we can uh collectively as a district it's each individual School applies for the purple star recognition and there's a series of required activities that um school has to complete some of which is training staff to know how to work with students of military families if they would transfer in or out or or just just be aware of what's Happening um so again the professional development with not only we have a
097district level staff person but there's a staff person identified at each building this in addition to that each school has to submit activities that they do in connection to military recognition and working with military families so as you could hear I know Mr Price has already completed his application you heard Mr Dennis state that his application is submitted in but this is a way publicly that we can say as a district we we work to support our military families and we're cognizant of ways that we can so there's a designation at the building level like there's a so each building has to apply individually I see uh and it's changed a little bit over the years um the the requirement process but each building would be designated and it's in the spring will come up
098with the designations of of who is designated as a personal star school so hopefully all four of our buildings are designated as as such and we can celebrate that every three years you were new every three years so once you apply and receive the award then you know you have to continue to apply and just reaffirm that you're completing those activities with your families okay roll call Mrs pinkstock yes Mrs song yes Mr Rainier yes Mrs Young yes Mr Sharp yes item be approved South Central Ohio Insurance Consortium resolution and you see the resolution there I'm not going to read the whole thing the motion in the second then we can get more details on exactly it is is there a motion um two seconds discussion then so the South Central uh Ohio Insurance Consortium
099is a group of public entities that go together and their insurance Consortium we have for many for a while been a part of that our agreement is due this year it's a three-year agreement this is Fairchild and I sat down with two representatives from these s-c-o-i-c and discussed some of our concerns that we had and really ended up getting some good information from that and felt better about the recommendation moving forward we will be having a work session with them on Friday this is Fairchild and I will both have that and then following up on our insurance committee we have wheels in motion to bring in our association staff members to our insurance committee and start those conversations about first of all educating them on what our insurance is what options there are um and
100just really educating at first and then working through that insurance committee to find the best solutions for our staff members so this is like I said this this is a three-year agreement it's it's a continuation of an agreement that we've had with them um and it expires we have to make the uh decision by December and is there a cost to this no no the Consortium is um yeah all the consort alcohol absorptions around differently this one we are independent so we we are not subject necessarily to everybody else's claims um the volatility is lower because it's just our claims but we do have some protections so um through stock Gap for High claim years so this um are we able to get competitive rates so that's one of the questions that we asked when
101we met with them correct so that was one of the questions so yes we are able to ask um them to come up with some options um and they are [Music] so Miller Lewis is an agent but they are an independent agent so they can go to any insurance and start asking for quotes and get some maybe some better um options options some more competitive options okay um so this Consortium is lives it's just a bunch of schools that get together and say yeah we all need health insurance right schools and others yes there are Villages and townships and not a ton but they're most okay um but yes that's the that's the beauty of the Consortium is a care Factor does the buildings and the claims would you say oh yeah so um then
102they also are able to um they have buying power they're able to so the stop Gap um insurance is is a little bit different which I had not was not familiar with how exactly it was doing that which makes a lot of sense which gives us some protections because we're so measured because we're self-insured um the other piece I didn't realize sort of interrupt but there's a stop Gap within the Consortium but then there's the Consortium works with other consortiums for another level of stop Gap as well so we've some of our premium that we do pay goes into this first level stop Gap so that means if we have a high dollar claim let's say it's 150 000 dollars our insurance we pay up to 100 and then the Consortium is going to pay
103so 50 yeah so we are we are limited um now what it doesn't protect against which that's how a consortiums work is if we have multiple claims that are fifty thousand dollars or whatever so we will have those years that will have higher claim rates and stuff um but yeah we did ask a lot of really hard questions about it because we've had a lot of concern expressed by employees about our insurance and what we're providing and things so we are definitely looking into it um but I was surprised I did not realize that they had the ability to do some of the things that they do and now they know what we would like to have those things done so okay that's good yes I thought if we were going with somebody but they
104were the same organization that we had been I thought that there were some concerns about the cost yes yeah we walked out of the meeting in a better place when we walked out okay yeah for sure for sure um so it's like walking into a car dealership because you're not going to pay the stickers you know if they see you coming and they know you did last time so they just expected yeah yeah I'm talking in the old days okay thank you for clarifying we just have to remain competitive um you know it's going to be a tough hiring season come spring for teachers and we want to make sure that we have benefits that are robust and attract and not detract from um our efforts of hiring so we want to make sure we're
105in a good place with that and it's a negotiations year so insurance is going to come up so this is a good good time to start really dealing with it so we won't again you know once we have a three-year contract there are a lot of penalties for getting out of a three-year contract um but it's a Consortium agreement so there's no options for saying well we really like to do two years or whatever it's that's what the terms of the Consortium so everybody has those same terms any other discussion okay real cool yes Mrs Young yes what's this big stop yes Mr Rainier yes Mr Sharp yes item three approved resolution with Scott ish scriven Lop it's a resolution there are interested news is there a second Misty seconds discussion so uh Scott scriven
106is a another educational law firm many districts including many in Fairfield County that uh superintendents that I've spoken to um it's common that you can have more than just one legal representation or the legal firm that you work with uh and you can kind of diversify where you which one you work with for certain topics and that would definitely be the case of you know we would want certain topics in certain places but uh Scott scriven as I connected with several superintendents they were very positive on their their work with thank you so where are they located um physically the Columbus area yeah they um I didn't see it in there but maybe I missed it I don't think it was I was just looking at it and then what's their fee so it is
107dependent upon the the attorney that you work with um so they have a variety of specialty areas um and it depends on what attorney that you work with but I will say it's competitive they actually presented at the conference yesterday um unemployment issues yes negotiations in order just to keep their presence there isn't a a retainer feed no so it would be I think we can build just as we are yeah yeah um we actually spoke for quite a while for the with the attorney that's uh and do they have satellite offices in other cities because I know Brooklyn a lot of times we don't talk to somebody in Columbus there in Cincinnati or in Cleveland um I also discuss prison as a is it a local company it is no other single a single
108base company okay um this resolution doesn't tie us in anything else basically literally says yeah so it's at the organizational meeting you guys will say this is who we authorized the superintendent treasure to work with and you as the board uh work with so this would be just it's a mid-year ad so the idea would be you know if we have success um you know good experience then we would renew both until January any other discussion all right real call Mr O'Neill yes this is pink stop yes this is the song yes this is John yes Mr Stark yes item do you approved resolution with the Air Force One again it's a nice load I think you want to take a look discuss an executive and then move back out okay yeah that'll work [Music]
109so we need to open it um so it's able to go after executives or afternoon next month no until after executive okay don't we just have a draft I can give you some more information on that okay yes the draft is in the packets [Music] then we can discussion [Music] because looking disgusting session oh a song Yes Mrs Jones yes this is pink sock yes Mr O'Neill yes Mr Sharp yes right then on to E for now approved students uh for payment and lieu of transportation from Crossroads Christian Academy attachment eight page 75. is there a second that's the second discussion we'll call Mr Rainier yes Mrs pink stock yes this is Sam yes Mrs Young yes Mr Sharp yes MF approved contract with mindful Literacy for professional development and support related to Ohio learning
110standards extended attachment 9 page 76 your emotional a movie just to move second second two seconds discussion uh this is continuation of services that we've worked with you may have heard Dr Bennett last year um working with some of our special needs students and um professional development with teachers who are what we're related to the Extended Learning standards so this is a continuation at truncated continuation of this professional development for this year also expanding that into other areas not as focused as it was previously um discussing data and doing some observations of the primary building related to these same topics discussion okay roll call that's during the year yes yes yes Mr shirt yes mg approves sixth grade overnight trip to Camp Mustang gam yeah Gmail for May 10 to 12 2023 attachment 10 page
11177. is there a motion Misty moves second Robin second discussion sounds like an exciting time absolutely thank you have a good time yeah is this first time we've got a video of the game tonight or we didn't do it last year again Sarah did it back in the day but I don't think I think it's the first time it's good since I did a good last year they did it last year and they didn't do it in 2021 but they did it in the spring of 22. yeah anyway yeah yeah it's fine um this is big stock yes this is some yes Mr near yes yes Mr Sharp yes I mean you should prove agreement with Fairfield Medical Center attachment 11 pages 78-90 and custom moves second two seconds discussion this is just the agreement
112Fairfield Medical for [Music] um employee drug testing um all right any discussion roll call Mr Rainier yes Mrs Young yes Mrs pinkstock yes this is Tom yes Mr Sharp yes how do I approve act workkeys agreement attachment 12 Pages 91 through 99. is there a motion 50 seconds discussion so this agreement is primary it's a three-year agreement so it's a multi-year agreement the agreement outlined is primarily procedural um just how the school has to handle um they'll work these assessments the workings assessments are linked to the new graduation requirements it's a pathway that they can get to graduation so um AC the ACT workkeys this is the state saying here is this this is the provider of this opportunity to get to graduation requirements and option not required well students but it is an option
113for them too there is a fee associated with this and it would be the students that can demonstrate mastery in this way as opposed to other ways and that's how they navigate toward their graduation requirements this allows them to do that as you'll notice there is a standing fee in in there because we don't know uh right now how many work use assessments we're going to need but we would put in a purchase order and go through that purchasing project process but it's a three-year agreement that yes we're going to work with them and we're going to follow the procedures outline to administer the assessment about assessment so the benefit of having this is it is a pathway to the Litany of graduation Pathways it's optional so it is it helps them not get to
114it does if they pass this already it's almost like a practice no it is it is it is a real so so it's it's under the umbrella of act but it's not an act it is just another type of assessment the other piece is some businesses um will use the work keys like if I'm going into a certain field I can say you know I scored a certain level of work keys and that a particular field of businesses will know what that is and say okay you have this is what your provisioner these are your strengths um for example a student's strengths may not be in reading a certain type of literature or something but I can have a student that has a owner's manual to a certain piece of equipment work keys will give
115as a way to assess demonstrated knowledge or demonstrate an ability to work in like a owner's manual type piece of information that you're reading and pulling information out as opposed to act would be a different type of reading material so the work keys is an assessment a student would do to assess their skills and then help guide them into a pathway so it is one of the components of a pathway so if you begin the graduation there's multiple ways that you can get to graduation right on a diploma it is one of the pathways so if I go through Pathways Act is a pathway right and then the work keys is a different pathway it's the pathway of its own yes so this is just us saying we're opening this opportunity that students can demonstrate
116knowledge or demonstrate Proficiency in this to go through this Pathway to graduation and if they do through a work keys pathway they get assessed is that what we're paying for we would pay for the assessment just like you okay would pay for an act okay or you would pay for is the school pay for that and it is free and the school doesn't have to pay for that but it's free to all students that wish to take that this one is not does not have to be applied to all students but it is a way that they would go there and the school would pay for that if if that's how they can demonstrate we have no idea how much just the initial assessment costs to go into the workkeys uh yeah okay this is
117more of a pathway for kids who leave early if uh it's a pathway that if one of the other options isn't an opportunity for them then there's a few students that may go this pathway um like fifty dollars forty dollars an assessment okay and then after they do the assessment and then there is there more Financial Obligations or is it just the assessment they just have the score in the assessment do we know how many businesses in the Fairfield County area know what this is because you were saying that like if they did good that there's businesses there are some I don't know in Fairfield accounting how many businesses have that posted and and recognized that I know I wonder if anything yes it's someplace like that recognizes but this was just completely new to
118me um I don't know the answer to that thank you the primary thing of this is it's another Avenue to receive d um we have previously this is the first year that we've used this um did they have an alternative like is this replacing something or is it just a brand new well it's not brand new really either it's it's brand new to Amanda um no actually Amanda participated in work piece previously my understanding is students have completed the workhease assessment this is this is just it's a multi-year agreement so oh I see that's why that's why it's okay probably would just be a PO you know it would be on a year to year basis so this kind of problems with students that participate in the war program it could be so if they
119again it's one of the many ways that the state has laid out to get to a diploma this is one of the components I I part of one component there's no fee for US unless we use the assessment correct yeah it's a processor okay so like I said that would be you know we would put in a purchase order and for six assessments any of the discussion yes Adam Jay approved contract with new story schools attachment 13 96 through 101. so um two seconds sorry if you have you have uh approved agreements with new story schools previously um that is a school that provides specialized services and uh this will be a student that um it's an Amanda Clear Creek student that was not there this is now applicable to them is there any of
120the services they just because that's what you would have heard of before I recognize that name yeah all right in the discussion roll call Mr Amir yes Mrs Young yes Mrs pink star yes this is Psalm yes Mr shirt yes MK approved staff leaving out pay okay Lynn Patterson Rachel to the gates on page is there a motion Mr Moon second from seconds discussion [Music] roll call Mrs Pinkston yes this is Sam yeah yes Mr Rainier yes Mrs Young Mr Sharp yes discussion items first one is the electric cross rebate Grant so I wanted to pass this around this is a nice graphic um essentially showing the grant what would be and actually as a spirit child as the one that pointed this graphic out um it's a nice graphic of what is not an
121eligible expense and that what would be an eligible expense as far as the rebate so two different things this is considered a rebate the electric bus we were approved for the electric bus rebate we were one of six schools in Ohio there were 19 school districts in the state that applied for it so very very limited amount of number of opportunities um so with each bus there is a twenty thousand dollar infrastructure amount that goes along with that so of course the grant would cover the rebate would cover the amount of the two electric buses which we've talked about that that price 400 and some thousand dollars per bus um but or I'm sorry 400 under 400 000 plus but the additional amount will be twenty thousand dollars per bus for the infrastructure so for
122example if you see in the graphic the electric panel the charging infrastructure unit those pieces would be mostly covered by that so as we spoke to Mr Saxon and another individual that's kind of the expert in electric buses they talked about um how much the district would have invested in this and they were estimating after this infrastructure amount came out and the amounts available for the buses was going to be was it around 60 000. about 50. we felt because it'd be about um that would not be covered after the rebate on the actual purchase of the bus um based on the specs that we need so we gave Thomas bus Thomas where we get all the rest of our buses our specs of what we would want they gave us back pricing and the
123amount of the rebate would almost cover but there's about thirty thousand dollars short and that's for both buses not a piece of 15 per bus and then the other 20 000 would go in with the 40 000 we're getting we would need one charging station and two buses um they estimated it cost about sixty thousand dollars um to put that in but that said they have not done a um thorough um evaluation of our electric to make sure there wasn't anything on the underside of the line that might be needed as far as Transformers and things like that they didn't have a lot of concern about they said it doesn't really think we would pay for though anyway um of course we did first we try to work with South Central Power first to see
124because we obviously are reducing our carbon footprint which see if there is anything available through them um so do we have any estimation on what potential savings could be electric versus diesel they are Barry G is getting us those numbers they were able to take our kilowatt per hour um the cost of our diesel buses some of our expenses we have with changing out air filters and things like that maintenance is a big part of it I mean these will be in six dollars it's about five dollars yeah 125 as opposed to these which are like and like almost 400 000 and then we're looking at so we're looking at over 900 000 to buy two bucks no no that's what the grants for oh yeah we're gonna spend first so we'll get we're going
125to spend 60 to get two months sixty thousand dollars to get two buses yeah yeah and that's to put in the infrastructure right from the grant the buses were right up for a hundred thousand so we are short like ten thousand wow it ends up being about thirty thousand dollars short on the buses so we would have to come up with the thirty thousand dollars then twenty thousand dollars would go towards the infrastructure so they're going to give us 40 000 for the instructor in addition to how much how much cash is at our outlay 50 50 to 60. 50 to 60 000. and then what is the lifespan of an electric bus versus a diesel they are bumper to bumper for five years so anything is wrong with them in five years the lifespan
126not the the quarantine eight years is what they're saying right now for our electric Fest that is the warranty period eight years is the warranty period for the battery so how much is a battery well okay so a couple things if you let me finish so that means that up to eight years if the battery goes it's replaced it doesn't cost us anything so at that point Beyond eight years it's it's on us if we want to as far as the actual life cycle compared to the diesel bus I mean we are trying to not go beyond what is it 12 years the state of the life cycle for what the state recommends but I think ours the last time we looked most of ours were like 12 or 14 years old although that was
127before we replaced shorter than that we're within 10 because we didn't have any extra things so and then you have to factor in the cost savings over that eight year period that can actually you could put that towards either the maintenance or repair replacement cost um at the end of that life cycle so if we're spending six dollars a gallon for diesel fuel and putting 80 miles a gallon in the day or 80 miles a day on the bus I mean I'm not 80 times six um I'm blanking here but 240 a day on diesel fuel we'll probably spend a fraction of that home electricity well so that was my question too didn't have do we know what it's going to cost in electricity we will so the gentleman that's the expert with Barry G
128his daughter got married last week so he was out and we we could have sent him the stuff and he had sent it back but I'm like we we're not in a huge rush for this okay um so yes we will have that information because that was my question is okay what is our electric what can we expect our electric to be and then what's the difference between that and what diesel is obviously those numbers aren't named because our kilowatt hour price is going to vary depending on you know what our electric does as well one hour price the price I mean if they would do a rate increase or whatever yeah we would I thought you meant like it just depends on usage I was going to say you shouldn't have a standard standard
129I just went if we're trying to extrapolate it out every eight years right those things we're going to have to pronounce so twenty thousand dollars is that funding for the actual charging stations and stuff that what is the actual customer the full charging station and everything that we're going to need to make they're estimating it would cost sixty thousand dollars and that includes concrete running the electric because we'll we'll have to set it it's still a little station out in the bus area everything how is everything done but that is just not they haven't done an evaluation they haven't walked the facility and said okay here's how much power you have here's what your Transformer looks like that is saying if we were just putting it in um they were not concerned about it doesn't
130take special power so as long as we have power the bus barn they're like pretty much sure we can put this in we did do a Power upgrade at the bus barn for the lift anyway so we do have extra power there now is this the bus company that's is the company that will do all the coordination um the company that we would purchase the bus from would be the same company we bought all of our buses from which is Thomas bus Ohio cat out of uh Frankfurt umpgs for the buses so like typically there's a conversion that they can do and it'll tell you like you get 135 miles per gallon it's like the conversion that's what I was going to ask like how many miles we get on a charge it's about 30
131miles per charge for a charge and just the charge vary based on the weather if it's colder out or hotter out should they colder out usually they did not indicate there would be whether it would be weather related to average depending on obviously the train they're covering and then I'm sure that it works at an average charge for the last two bus routes in the morning and two bus routes that not correct and then they would be charging in the middle of the day Jordan's looked at how long does it take them to charge um three hours three from zero to full charge is three dollars so we know we have that amount of time between our banks yeah and is there any special training our drivers need for that for the bus drivers do
132you need to be certified to do an electric bus or does it matter it doesn't matter okay I didn't know I mean and that's everything we talked about so we did the transportation meeting was and one of the concerns was well what happens upon those breaks down she's going to fix that and what's kind of the training then whatever and uh Jordan said that that at this point given that there's just two buses that if something breaks down with one we'll just send it to Ohio doesn't make any sense for us to do the training and whatever the specialty equipment would be and whatever else and are there any other schools in our County [Music] so one of one of these schools that received the grant they have numerous electric buses already um so it's
133kind of a new field within within schools in Ohio uh one of the questions Mrs Fairchild had actually in the conversation she brought up and I uh clarified with the Ohio cat representative yesterday was what do we do with how do we dispose of them and he's he said to me he said well you know one option that you're going to have at the end of life that you could always trade them in he said and I have schools all over Indiana that that run electric buses so um it's a growing trip did he say whether or not or did he know if there were any pools in Ohio that he has not sold to any I don't believe okay it'll never be like the majority of our Fleet that would be I can't imagine
134that it would ever be practical to do that but to have two and as we got the grant at over across the 60 Grand and then to actually fuel it costs less than it does to put diesel in it it's you know why would you not one of the questions that was that was asked in the meeting that we had was okay we're entering into this master facilities plan so if we move it what happens and they said it's a very simple it's you just Bolt the charger down onto the concrete pad you have the cost of replacing the concrete pad and the concrete underneath but outside of that you can restation it wherever do we have a deadline or anything of when we have to purchase this thing and pull the trigger basically yes
135we have to have a purchase order in place by April of 2023 so we would need and yesterday at the Capitol conference talking to Larry Fisher he did not know how long it would take to get a bus and he cannot order them until we place a purchase order so um it could possibly be he said he's a year out right now on diesel so it could be a wait time but the grant just indicates that we have to have the purchase order in place with a purchase agreement to buy the buses um by April of 2023. um so we've got time to gather this information that was um we wanted to do a discussion based on at this point we would like Barry G to come in and actually do a walk through and
136get real information and real numbers what does it look like um kind of to get that process started um so that we can continue on that path and not be running up against April 2023 but be more than sitting at the trade show area I think you know one one thing that you could see it was kind of interesting yeah because I mean it went all out there one thing is commercial buses yeah and that's where they said that a lot of the Market is right now is in commercials yeah and I think too uh you know until a lot of school districts would have buses too you know it's really route so we would be running not necessarily trips but like athletic trips to Kings Island or anything like that because there's nowhere to
137charge them so that way I can see why schools I mean cost is prohibited compared to uh yes was ridiculous so now they're actually reasonable that people is there any concern with the power of the electric buses you know because we've got lots of hills and that sort of stuff way more power than what the these Awards honestly I knew the day that the average person drives an electric car it really should like my car it goes 0-60 in the same as a Corvette and you don't want 16 year olds driving them I like I don't know if you want the average person the school bus won't but I can assure you there they have electric electric motors having a tremendous amount of torque and and so it's yeah it's one of those things I
138remember somebody who had brought up a concern with me you know these Hills and stuff they might run out quicker or whatever so well if it gets to that point we've got a route that just goes from here to the cruise ship and back yeah that's just a straight route across 22 and back I mean that's not going anywhere other than flat surface so I mean if it gets eight years from now or for whatever reason they're better it's not holding up quite enough we can do a normal route we sent the career center back so foreign [Music] because when you're on school that's as loud and the smell and to have the kids on there and it's quiet but there's no to see if the behavior changes if they notice if they because they
139feel like they can't get away with it yeah they all fall asleep yeah okay well the next item there is the vswc so I had shared out for a number of meetings you guys don't have the um you have seen the on the very back page the proposed process so that has not changed that's still the same process so this is just I received the actual contract the other day of course this is within the amount that I would be able to sign off on without board approval so we don't necessarily have to that doesn't have to hold it up if we choose not to um this I received this contract I have not sent this contract yet to legal to go over um so that's one piece that since I received it late with
140that but essentially the proposed process that scope of work has not changed and I just wanted any final I guess discussion items or concerns before we would I go as I said they got the hyphens wrong well it's all right here if it's back here um Darren reach out to two other companies and um they came back with varying input uh that you know essentially we said if you were going to start this master planning process what would it look like um vswc gave us the most detailed and just most description of how they would take us through that process two of the other ones did not did not provide that much information one of them essentially said that there's a cap so much per hour and there's a cap and another one did not
141really return much information at all to us um we did Darren did reach out to I believe it was five districts that have worked most recently at the swc on their projects and to receive great reviews from them through building processes so these aren't The Architects architect the drawings for those as HBO okay I just want to make sure that they are not the same yeah so once we decide from the facility plan what we're interested in then these people would do the drawings so we would that they would just right now I mean yes should um right now there it is they would just take us through this master planning process too so they're actually disaster planners that would tell us what they think we should do with our land and our buildings they
142they are also they can they're our Architects so they can move us to the next to the next step article one is architect and that's why I was asking am I right they are no they okay they are Architects so that's why I'm saying they can move us to that next step there's different types of services so normally you have times one two depends on what agency but type A is planning type B is actual specifications and drawings where like if we decide we want to go with them and we decide that we want to do a building that would be the type of being the type C with the inspection services that would occur during an immediately following yes as you know that thank you for that though so I'm just trying we haven't
143decided what we want yet but this one's talking about doing drawing and stuff so what exactly are you asking for on let's push this am I reading the wrong paper do I have the wrong one pulled up severe appendix that was um that's the scope of the services of what we are asking them to do for 24 000 so basically we're just going to tell them our needs and let me feel like how much our population has grown they that will actually be part of what they will do is they will explore population growth student growth they will look at given the space um make suggestions on where we would if we didn't put in a utility in our community given yes given all of those options they will also if both 0.02 assess existing
144General Building and site conditions they will also identify if there are major improvements that need to be done as maintenance projects I think we've done a good job of grasping those but they will certainly point out something if there is something that they're like in the next five years you're going to have to have a million dollars worth of X whatever that might be um so they'll do that as well so it's not just they'll take our existing building plans from 2003 when we build the buildings and it gives the best case scenario if we wanted to they'll give us options and then they'll give us some recommendations but they'll give us options like where could we build onto this building where those utilities are ran where it's going to be cheapest to add on
145to this building if we're Lane locked and we can't purchase land would it make sense to move the bus barn or not and what would that cost so they're going to be able to tell us what structural laws what can stay what can be torn down if you need to move things right so if we wanted to expand the band room or we want to do build on that side of the building like where would we do that and then how much square footage would they recommend based on the student growth we should see based on their research um not just I think this might happen but it's actually real numbers and statistics that say this will happen and this will happen so this amount would do all that and then if we once their
146findings come back and we decide whatever project that's where the rfps would come into play this pipe b or on whatever terminology yes do we not have a little bit of the cart before the horse because we don't even know we want to add on to the building and we don't need to know we want to build something yet well this is the pre-work to even saying what do we even want to do we talked about um because we had talked about doing you know a Multiverse building or people want to talk about retail everybody's talked about different things but nowhere we're you know electric sewer water knowing where that stuff is within the district knowing that you know is the bus barn properly located or is it a piece of land that's something could
147be better utilized as something else you know traffic flows parking lots how many how much space how many spaces if we would add something how many spaces of parking would we have to maintain if we would move something and take out different spaces would we need to replace system spaces would we you know just give us options so that once the committee starts talking about they actually have real information to say oh okay we could do this or we could do that or they may come back and say you know what your growth may be so slow over the next 10 years that you know this is what we think is going to happen and then what we do is purely just what we want to do not necessarily based on numbers that oh my
148gosh we could potentially be having a lot of students in or the district um 132 students in the kindergarten this year all right so it just gives us where the the lead us through that process of we can do abcrd right yeah what I was mentioning earlier though you know it would even be feasible to do some sort of combo facility that would be a preschool with this potential other gym attached to it and is there even a footprint where we can do that or there is Jim's base I think that's what prompted this kind of analysis and it all started with a fan group right got it um to me code we were under the impression that we were in violation of fire code because of the number of students in the space but
149then after further review from an architect firm they found that we are so yeah Enterprise numbers have dropped so between the two yeah we're well within our yeah preschool thing so but anyways the kind of things that we need to be using this right now if we don't have enough space to do anything and if we ever think we would acquire more Landing if so where so are there any other questions that you guys would want answers to prior to moving forward it looks like they're going to provide a very thorough foreign positive about having done the master facility plan process to kind of know where things were number five years and I know a couple of new principles they want to some of those sessions too different ideas on what new space is interesting
150okay any other discussion with that right now so no other questions prior to that moving forward there are no other discussion items on the list there so if it has anything then we can I don't know a few seconds discussion roll call Mr in here yes this is pink stock yes that's the song yes this is Young yes Mr Sharp yes so um [Music] I was going to say that like halfway through it like this is the first time I can ever recall [Music]
