We want to survive myself. I guess Four left. United States God says. Black brother. We're going to be [clears throat] keep that dream 12 seconds. We got better.   We got bigger. We connected. We shrank  the world. We broke the second barrier. Then into   the dark and now we're living in it. Every air thought  they'd seen the future. Every era was right.   From the next generation of  pilots to the innovators of Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain marking the opening of the 10 Aviation  Center at the Middletown Mutual   A world class facility built to prepare the  next generation of aviation professionals.   We are now preparing from department  into a new era of opportunity.   Please direct your attention to the  students for a brief preflight announcement. Welcome the vote and second facto moment for our community

staff and students  in the event of surveillance remain calm.   The center is powered by dedicated educators and  visionary partners working together to break this   vicious life. Exits are located throughout  the facility and mainly donated industry   certifications, college credit, internships, and  demands. Electronic domestic shades on and all   passengers are encouraged to take photos and  videos throughout today's event. If you share   your experience online, please use the hash  one. Inite Wi-Fi is available after college   for complimentary coffee stores are located to  your right and at both ends of the main building.   But most of the action is happening right  here in the Thank you for us today. This   journey is only possible because it goes the  tech aviation center is now cleared for sale. My name is I have the honor of  serving as our CEO superintendent.

couldn't be more excited about the opportunity  for this group of people to come together today   to celebrate what is going to be absolutely  amazing ribbon cutting ceremony and we're grateful   for such a strong investment from thousands  and thousands of partners in this room   going to begin with a small story ago had a  vision a vision to bring aviation to public   we wanted to give students a chance not  just to learn about the history of flight   but to become the next generation of students that  would shape it. Like many great aviation stories,   our journey started small. Seven years  ago, we had one class with 21 students   and what I'd like to call a diamond and a teacher  named Rich. No hanging, no aviation center, just a   wild vision and one heck of a teacher. might  be

standing, sir. You for a quick second, Rich. It's important to me that I took 22nd time to  honor and celebrate this particular person.   He has been one of the hardest working  educators I have ever came across.   He single-handedly took a 25 person aviation  program and build it into a 200 student school   right now and we're already learning  students away. The demand is so great.   We thank them deeply for years of  a relentless pursuit of mission. I want to explain how this happened in school.   When we launched our one new class,  somebody said, "What if rich is ever sick?" And someone said, "I think we should have at  least have a substitute teacher on that." Kathy   was a lifelong teacher for Tech  and worked many locations for us   as a family consumer science teacher,  but she

decided to come back to be a   building or a substitute teacher. She ended up  staying in that classroom many times and coaching   it on how to go from being an aerospace engineer  and and a pilot into becoming a teacher.   She has functioning when no one asked her to  invest. She spent hours having great conversations   into working on his craft as well as supporting  students. So behind every great achievement,   there's also another great story. So I  want to thank these officers. Thank you. Today the one drum aviation program has  been thrown to this incredible facility   serving nearly 200 students who  are learning about the science,   the mechanics and the discipline behind aviation.  But the truth is the story feels familiar.   You look at the history of aviation started the  same way. Two brothers in Ohio with

the bic and   a wild belief that humans could fly. The Wright  brothers didn't start with the massive operation.   They started with curiosity, experimentation, and  a vision that other people thought was impossible.   Just like the Wright brothers, Ohio has always  been a place where aviation takes flight.   Right here in Middletown, aviation history was  written as well. In 1940, moved their operations   from downtown Cincinnati here to the Middletown  airport and they began helping to train pilots   supporting the war and introducing thousands of  Americans to the skies. Planes like the Champ   and the Grasshopper rolled out of Middletown  and became part of aviation history forever.   In many ways, we're not here to celebrate  something new. We're [clears throat] here to   celebrate something that has been a continuation  of legacy that already lives in this community.   Today, well tech

students will continue to learn  about principles of flight. That same precision,   same craftsmanship that defined those  early aviation pioneers. Who knows?   Maybe sitting here in the building today  as next aviation aircraft engineer,   the next innovator, maybe even the next right  thrower. I should say maybe the next right system.   Aviation stories always the same way there's a  people who believe in it and an entire community   of supporters that are willing to help it take  flight. So today on behalf of Tech School,   thank you of everyone in this room from our  elected officials to our business partners,   community leaders, funders, supporters along  with the incredible work of our architect,   our design team, and our construction crew.  and most importantly, our dedicated crew of   teachers and aviation experts that are helping  young people pursue pursue their dreams.   Best

part is we're just  getting clear for departure.   Thank you for that. At this time, I'm going  to begin working our way through the ceremony   and we're going to have a significant amount of  people recognized throughout the ceremony. I'd   like to begin first by recognizing the members of  the public board of education. If you can stand,   please stay standing. Representing New Miami,  Mr. representing Hamilton Muso Middle Sing. I want to make sure that I acknowledge  the Tech has had one of the most   supportive innovative school boards  for the last decade if not longer.   We're super thankful for the board members that  are past and present that were able to support   this type of opportunity. So, thank you. Please  be seated. At this time, I'd like to welcome   our board president representing  Monroe School District, but also

representing Father's Tech School. You  give me a warm round of applause for Mr. I honestly cannot believe. Yeah, it is truly an honor for me to prepare for takeoff. I want to take  a moment to explain how we got here.   Things like this do with the conversation goes  something like this. So we've been thinking with this but here's where the work starts with  the precision of the thunderbirds   our chief researches every angle of  the can this happen what are the risks   the cost involved and the reports all the critical  components to complete a successful mission   I think we would all agree They  stop the land. There's a few more. I'm truly amazed. But no successful project  like this can be done alone. Even Tom. He knew he could rely on actually specifically our public districts

that  make up our prepared meal. Hamilton, New Miami, Ross, Northwest, Middletown,  and my history each play a critical role   in supporting our mission. Fortunately, they  provide necessary skills to all our programs.   We're truly grateful for the support they thank  you all. If there's one thing I hope you take   away from today's public education today,  driving innovative and adapting today's ever public schools need your support. Remember this  building is what public education look like today.   This campus represents one of the many ways that  all of us together push boundaries for education.   I want to thank my current past  board members for establishing   a culture that allows the leadership staff rely on one thing. [laughter] I gota beat. This project made possible  through a variety of different super thankful. We'd like to welcome to  the stage three

different group. We'd   like to welcome to the stage the mayor of the  city of Middletown, Mayor Elizabeth Slam. if   you could please come to the stage. Following  her, if we have the Ber County Commissioner,   Mr. Commissioner Rogers, Commissioner Dixon,  Commissioner Carpenter, if you're in the house,   you can please come to the stage.  Finally, representing jobs Ohio,   an organization dedicated to advancing  economic development in our state.   Uh, representing that is Mr. Terry Slay.  If you could please come to the stage.   These are some of the private funders and public  funders that have allowed us to create this   particular project. We wanted to give each of them  a quick 60 seconds to communicate their thank yous   and their vision pertaining to the project.  Let's start with so much. Good morning everyone. Well, I am just so grateful

for this opportunity to the Butler Techch Aviation Center to the  Middletown Regional Airport, also known as   the state of Middletown, Ohio. We would like  to thank the Butler County Commission Ohio and the numerous partners you will hear  from today. to make this school a reality.   As was said, nothing happens in a  bag. We are so grateful for this team.   We thique city aviation school  and we hope that after the cere right now. has so much to offer  and we couldn't be happier that   the public aviation spectrum is now part of those  offerings. I wish each of you a wonderful day   on behalf of the city of thank you so  much for being here to celebrate with us. It's great to be here celebrating the engagement.  This project represents exactly the kind of   investment believes in

education, workforce  training and the opportunity to serve the   next generation. Tech has a long history  of preparing students with real careers   and this new aviation facility expands those  opportunities in a growing and exciting.   The board of county commissioners is proud to  support this project because investments like this   strengthen our workforce and strengthen  our community. Congratulations and everyone I'm very proud of participating I just like to say thanks on the move. What happened here? way back and we're pleased to be able to congratulate So on behalf of uh our CEO and president Steve  and our board chairman, you know, our governor,   uh Mike Fine, all the time he talks about team  Ohio when he talks about economic development   and you're seeing that firstand here today. You  know, seven years ago, I met John at the other

end of the airfield. I think somebody had tipped  them off that I had a weakness for aviation. Uh   we started starting this conversation and it's  amazing that we're standing here today in this   facility. But really, what's really exciting  about this is what comes next, which is educating,   you know, hundreds, thousands of uh students to  go into aviation and uh and aerospace. You know,   a couple of people here I want to want to point  out that that helped me. you know, we've done,   I think, seven projects like this across the state  with different higher ed uh institutions putting   the facilities just like this on airports  across Ohio because aviation is our legacy,   but it's also our we're seeing all across the  state a real science in aerospace and aviation.   You read about Airbus and you read

about Boeing.  You know, we're the number one supplier state.   We're the two largest aerospace companies in the  world. But you've also heard lately about Andrew   Land and Columbus. Largest single job project in  God's Ohio's history. 4500 jobs to build the next   generation of drone aircraft for for defense.  You heard about Aviation, the EV toll company   that uh just a month ago bought a 750,000 square  foot building in D where they're going to start   the production of their electric vertical takeoff  and landing aircraft. And then you hear all the   time about the industry where old guys like  me decide to find a retireer and go to Florida   and this great weather that we're having right  now. I asked Christie Clout who's sitt here raing   senior managing director of our talent program.  You know, when we went

win deals for Ohio now,   it's it used to be about sites and where  could they build that? Now, it's about talent   and we give them the talent that they're going  to need to be successful in Ohio. That's where   the competition is today. It's all about talent.  What you're doing here with uh with high school   uh students and starting them on the pathway into  aerospace and aviation and you know aerospace and   aviation isn't only uh infrastructure for for  that industry, but it's also about STEM. We're   bringing students into STEM and they they may  decide to go in a different direction, you know,   when they graduate from high school, but we're  laying the foundation for more STEM students,   more STEM students going into college in Ohio.  It's really, really important the work that you're   doing. But shared

with me uh that in Ohio over  the next uh four years by 2030 it's predicted that   the aviation industry employment doc demand for  the aviation industry it's going to grow by about   5 to 8%. These uh numbers are literally in the  thousands, 5,000 aircraft mechanics and service   technicians just in the state of Ohio alone and  nearly 4,000 demand for aerospace engineers.   So there's a future for these students. This  this is a big deal that you're giving them the   opportunity to start a career, you know,  literally when they're in nth grade when   they go into high school. for that future. So,  congratulations to the mayor, city of Miltown here. Um, the county commission who uh grabbed  the division, you know, county commissioners   may not have an easy job. There's a lot of demands  on the county.

They have a lot of responsibility.   So for them to invest 10 minutes and support this,  you know, it's a really big deal. But thank you. As that team takes their seat, I want to make sure  that I recognize there's a handful of educational   departments in the room. I know our president  doesn't exist without strong partnerships tomorrow   school districts. We've already named them to so  I'm not going to read those names again, but I'm   thankful for the superintendent, the curriculum  directors, the principles that are in the room   today from all of our supporting school districts.  Again, we don't exist without strong partnerships.   We also have some amazing postsecary partnerships  with Sinclair, Cincinnati State, University of   Cincinnati, and of course, Miami University.  All those postcary institutions are in the room.   We're grateful for the work that you

guys do  alongside of the best young people. Thank you.   I'd like to bring someone to the stage uh  and facilitate our next round of recognition.   And before I bring to the stage, our leadership  team was having the meeting about two years ago.   And we're talking about what could the airport  become, what could the aviation centers become.   And as they were engaging in this pingpong  match of vision and dialogue and possibility,   one of the members from the executive leadership  team eventually kind of put her fist down that and   uh Christian made it known that this particular  aviation center wasn't going to be just a regular   going to be a sought after school or aviation  center let alone in the region within the entire   had to go all in without because we knew  we had the talent

of our teachers and we   knew we had the talent in our kids  like this somebody behind the scenes   that's been grinding out three or four years  now supporting aviation when no one is looking Good morning everybody. Um really in the past seven years like started  from that schoolhouse with amazing instructor   um continue to grow support um that's made it  possible for our students. That is what it's   about. It's about our students in the future.  There are many many stakeholders in this room   today uh have really given us the momentum. That  is what's momentum behind it. get stuck with this   threat of not being able to respond that we  have the support and so many business partners   so many people in the community and that really  has given us the legs and the ways that um

so I   would like to recognize some of this partners  that have been alongside us from the beginning   of our journey until where we are um one thing  that u we don't talk about a lot our students would have supported it as well. The  state of Ohio is recognized by school   and some people may think that that comes from  you know things we recognize public is truly   come from our business and community partners.  They are the ones that provide the guidance to us   around the help and without contract for not being  what it is today. So, I'd like to recognize um   our business partners that have been with us.  Our students are going to give you your first   set of wings. So, you see some of us have these  little helmets on um so your first

set of wings   and uh the first group is our business and  industry partners. Uh stage skies aviation   if you can stand uh and be recognized. If you're  so proud with crowd come up with sinking skies   aviation they have been a partner with us  getting to hire our students also on site here am aviation uh they have donated I usa the  aircraft owner and pilot association they   helped us with our curriculuming Melan base I know  there's some place out there but you recognize partners which is our vertical storage uh solution  system here and our advanced manufacturing center from the middle airport and also from I'd also like to recognize and you guys stand and earn your first people that have played an equally  important role in supporting the   economic development strengthening the  connection between education again.

I would like to uh ask our chamber representative  please stand as we recognize you also American chamber chamber, the  Oxford Chamber, the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky, the David development,  and thank you so much for all about the fact that the public in the state of Ohio is no big problem. We take One thing that we avail organization that we have partnered with  is the rain. We started looking for funds   to help our students their flight and we came  across the rain which is located out Florida.   They have provided the initial round of  scholarships for funding to support our students   in flight beyond what they get here as far as  their pilot. In addition to that community uh   mostly uh members of Rich Hopkins community and  the aerospace industry uh help us out and there   are several

people in this audience that we'd like  to recognize for supporting that match process.   because of that investing directly to  students. Well, a week and a half ago,   they gave out 28,000 scholarships to our  students. That is huge. This provides access to providing your first set of public wings.  Thank you so much for your generosity to   help create opportunities for students who  not otherwise have access to pursue that   would please stand Dr. Catherine Sullivan  please stand Dr. David Brown David David Brown you can see thank you again for  supporting our student Without partnership of business and industry, our  community organizations and individuals   that have supported our tech students,  it would not be where we are today.   We are grateful for the support and your role   in making the street of the Tech Aviation Center  a reality

for the students of today. Thank you. Thank a patient. There's so many people that  need to be thanked during the process. So,   thank you for bearing with me as we work through  it. There are a handful of that we'd like to   allow an opportunity to say thank you today. Uh  first is I'd like to introduce auditor favor.   The auditor is responsible for ensuring  accountability transparency across public   institutions throughout the state. Mr. Favor has  been a long time public service. He previously   represented the region in the Ohio Senate  where he served as president of the Senate.   He's been a strong advocate for responsible  stewardship of public resources resources and   ensuring taxpayer dollars are used effectively.  Please join me in welcoming Ohio State. Well,   thank you for having us and I I just  want to you are

seeing here firsthand   what I have said all over Ohio that our career  technical education programs are literally   the gems and the crown of Ohio education. Let's  give a round of applause to all of those people. And I know of no other aviation program that  does both instruction and the mechanical side.   I've heard a number of that do the mechanical  side and that's great. But to give that flight   instruction here is huge particularly as we  talk about state which is number one. It is   important for us to recognize some of those things  that help take part. First of all, as auditor,   I want to call out. You guys, you do your  job. Thank you for doing that on behalf of that. That is a rare 6,000 a fact that you guys do  a good job. Thank

you for that. But I was going to   call out the county commissioners. Look, you guys  had a lot of choices done with some of that co era   ARPA and and other types of money that we  went around the state trying to encourage   local governments to invest in  programs like this. As I said,   we want to do things that are going to invest in  the jobs and the economy for the future, grow the   not money for one time expenditures that were  going to cause things to be more expensive in the   future. This is exactly the kind of investment  responsible governments wouldn't have done   with one time funds. Thank you commissioners  for your leadership and to the city as well. My former legislative colleagues, your  investment through the capital funds   and through the other things that you

do with  this kind of program is so important for housing.   But you're not done yet. I'm looking at  a number of you and I'm calling you out.   The capital budget is being considered now.  They need an addition for this other side of the but I want to give you a challenge that's even  bigger. You know, I see an airplane and one of   the things I learned on my tour is this airplane  doesn't fly. instruction. They need a couple of   airplanes that do fly that do pilot instruction  right there in this program. So, I'm going to give   you a challenge. Well, you're putting together  the capital request. Former Senate President,   I know how this works. Let me give you a head.  ODOT has a bunch of airplanes sitting at airport.   They may need some alterations and

changes,  some upgrades. Maybe swap a couple of those   airplanes here for these students to learn  to And we get the new ones if they need during I was doing my own pilot and  I had gotten to my solo cross country   but I flew in a Piper Taha which I had to have  those squirrels at the chip back running the same but short answer is I wish  we had these kind of programs   and as I had career technical  programs all over all over the state   we've got a break where I live price  literally across the street from my office   they don't have aviation program when I go home  we're going to start having that conversation   because this career opportunity when I talk to the  young people those men and women who are working   for a lifetime

career in aviation, whether as a  pilot or mechanic. Look, I say this all the time   and I say this to our jobs Ohio. The goal of Jobs  Ohio when we created when I was in the legislature   was to create jobs and give opportunities  for Ohio for the next generation.   It has done that remarkably well. These are  the kind of programs that will give those men and women in the program  the opportunity to call home   for their future so their parents and  grandparents don't have to get on an airplane.   This is the kind of program that is so important  for our people. And and with that, I want to   leave with this. We're giving you some paper  hard uh saying great things about this ground,   but I'm going to leave with this last thought.  As you

guys grow and expand your program,   continue to partner with those higher education  here in Ohio. You got some great partner. There   are some others. I know right state just  started an aviation program and other things   but we want to say that young people  don't have to leave Ohio aviation are becoming the next generation mechanics but I  know you're talking about adult education as well   there aren't many people who make  more than aviation mechanic on   so thank you for that investment thank you  for the community and I should expect nothing   less. Such a great county here county. God bless  you for the work you do and thank you for your invited back. college from Senator George Lang's office. He couldn't  be with us today. He provided the tech school   and our senator involved was super. We

are  super grateful for Senator Lang leadership   in this particular region of Ohio relationship  with Father Jack. Dozens of business, dozens of   businesses and dozens of other elected officials.  Also want to acknowledge another accommodation   from Senator Tuesday's office as well. He could  be with us today that has represented this.   Thank you for presenting these particular  accommodations. Super grateful to have them.   Now I'd like to introduce and bring to the  podium US Congressman Davidson who represents   Ohio's district serving the people of county  and all across South Ohio and Washington DC of   the United States military academy in West Point.  Former United States Army Ranger both leadership   and national service experience to comate for  American men and national defense and workforce   development issues closely connected to the future  of aviation. Please join me in welcoming Congress. What an

honor to join you all and what  a great uh event to celebrate. You know,   I'm here at that Middletown airport and  I always think of John Bart and keep fast   track iconic and out here practicing  all the time and now it's going to be   great to see what becomes of this site with  this kind of investment focus on field and   students that are going to make it great. You  can't think about aerospace think about brothers.   But if you look at Think about science fiction.  We're in an era where if somebody had imaginary up here talking about the investment in Ohio, you  know, we worked for a while to get a partner here   between Department of Defense and FAA. And so as  I worked on that amendment, Mike Turner joined me. little townry county and so

you see the investment that John  also did that in Springfield where you're seeing   you the first beyond visual line of sight in place  which led Joby to make the kind of investment that   you're seeing here and the kinds of things that  students need to have access to the technology   is changing this is the kind of venue that  makes all that possible for our youth. So   I look forward to seeing that I look forward to  partnering with you. So you find a federal next   program may be something that even exists but  if they're out there already and they're going   to get funded be one of those funs that come  here. So tech's been so exciting to work with.   Uh but you know so is everybody else that here.  Thanks for all the work you guys do.

uh so many   great friends like this in our region. This  one really is I think particularly special and   it catches the moment you look at it um you know  whether it's the ability to deliver a package uh   the next day and we've got places like that come  in just trust the river in particular CBGology that's taking place talking  to our police department you can Imag there's an application students  learn how to do that how to maintain it how it came out here and it was under construction   you sort of see how it came together but  I think you got a great place God bless Representative Thomas Hall receive and accept   another accommodation from Senator Bernie  Marino's office. We thank for also represent   like to bring up our final speaker Mr.  Representative Thomas state representative   for

Ohio's 46th district serving the people of  county advocating for all the local community   aer county resident bringing practical  experience strong region that he represent   a leader focused on strengthening  local economics workforce development   and opportunities for the next generation if  we could give a warm round with applause Mr. Good morning everybody. Good  morning everybody. Good morning very very exciting and I was asked to say a few remarks  today. It was very clear on a twominute   He didn't tell me that Senator was  here. So I think to share my remarks on Monday, February 2nd of  this year. He cut the ribbon at   many of you in this room at that ceremony.  Many of you in this room are witnessing   the education revolution that Muller Tech  is doing right here in Bowman County.   Now, as John was up

there today, I know we  talked about previously with the right brothers.   I feel like you and John were the tech brothers.  when you first I thought you were crazy and then   all the partnerships that came together  at all the investments that were made   our county commissioners who have done one  hell of a job managing our county's expenses   and focusing on our future here in county what  we do right here in county is talked about   the state of Ohio because  When I ask what's it like and I tell them better yet invest in our capital   so they can continue to grow  and educate the next generation. As I wrap up my remarks I have several  colleagues from the House and Senate   with me today. Uh colleagues if you'd  like to come up. I have one lawyer.

I'd like we have county but I want to present this to get up  here. Thank you sir. Appciate you.   going to present this commendation on  behalf of my colleagues who are here today   to text aviation center and as a two time for everything you're doing for our region  for the next generation of students. at this time getting ready to do some  acknowledgements and recognition of   various different elected officials.  I want to introduce our principal.   A couple years ago when we knew we weren't  graduated from aviation high school,   we didn't quite know who would fit profile to  be the principal of that particular building.   And we had a teacher uh that was a very  strong instructional leader in our main campus   and was aspired to become a principal had a ton of  other skill sets. Once

we started connecting the   dots amongst our leadership team, we realized  this particular gentleman fit the profile at   a perfect level. He's been absolutely relentless  about not only advocating for teachers and staff   during their construction process and  their transition process facility.   He's engaged in one of the most grassroot levels  ever any local principal I've ever seen has done   at engaging their respective communities  from nonproidence to elected officials.   We're super proud to know the principal of  our high school. Can you please come on up? Well, you know, here at Butler Tech, we  don't really do things the normal way. We   kind of think outside the box. We decided  that a school could sit at an airport   that ain't going to be a classroom. And then  when it came to the building getting closer   to fruition, the district

looked around  and said, "Who is it we know that has   the most physical difficulty squeezing  into an actual aircraft?" [laughter] Thank you all again. And it is an honor to  be in this role and to be at this event.   An event that represents years of planning,   persistence, and a shared belief about what is  possible when education, industry, and community   come together. Today, it's about far more  than just building or cutting any ribbon.   It's about opportunity. The aviation center exists  to connect our students with real world skills.   first class instructions and clear career pathways  because it's here that our students are not just   learning about aviation. They're actively engaged  in becoming the pilots, maintenance technicians,   engineers, and other professionals  that will shape the next generation of   Asunities can exist only when there is commitment  at all

levels of government from local state to   federal to invest in our students and in their  workforce readiness. We are incredibly grateful   for all the public officials who understand not  only the importance of aviation to our economy,   but also recognize that preparing student talent  close to home strengthens the entire region.   That is great because in this region  we are in a positive aviation activity   with more aviation industry job opportun  in this area than virtually anywhere else   in America. That makes the aviation  center not only relevant but essential   and it's why the support and the presence here  today of so many of our leaders matters so much.   To that end, I would ask the following officials  to please stand and be recognized at this time.   If you have not yet received your Butler  Tech Wings, one of

our students will   give to you shortly uh to make sure that you  receive that as a token of our appreciation. Up to this point, we've heard from a   number of leaders and educators who believe  deeply in the mission of the aviation center.   But the most important voices in this facility  belong to the students who learn here every day.   This was felt before them and because of them. It  represents new possibilities, boundless optimism,   and a promising future that is already taking  shape in our classrooms and in this atmosphere.   At the aviation center, we have  simple foundational beliefs.   The way

to build a culture that students support  is to build a culture that supports students   by making connections and creating opportunities  that stimulate the growth and development of   our students and the communities in which they  live. To share that perspective, it is my honor   to introduce one of our students who will briefly  describe what Tech Aviation means from her point   of view. At this time, if you would please welcome  Clara Bran, a senior in the aviation program. senior has been an exciting part of my  life. As a kid on vacation, I always my sophomore year the opportunity to attend an  aviation exploration camp where I first discovered   flight. It was that moment that I decided I  could findation related career such a task. Since joining the program and a half  ago, I've had the privilege to

follow the motivational support. instructors,  classmates and family last instructors and professionals  who are so deeply rooted in   utilizing these connections has opened doors I  never imagined and the more time here the more   I am that I'm on the right it's my missionary  small aircraft that otherwise access to my position myself for success.  Even in my future years here,   I witnessed public something really  special. The opportunity the facilities. Thank you again for being here today  with us. It is one that I'm honored   to be a part of. Hope to all are as  excited as I am to see where it goes. Before we close here, work your way down. Please work  your way down. Work your way down front. Work your   way out front. Behind every significant project,  you have to have a first class design

and a first   class team. And while these particular folks  that are going to come in front of other people   on their team, I wanted to bring forward are  the architect I've known for quite some time who   is a great listener to our leadership team  and our students and our our teaching staff   as well as many of the thought leaders and  the on-site leaders of the construction team.   These people have made a huge difference  to what type of service the community   gets. So I just simply wanted to with a strong  amount of applause would do them at the time. [screaming] My last group of acknowledg forunate see how the leaders team operates behind  the scenes over the last three and a half years. Four years ago, John, we thought we were going to get stay  home

if they come to the office. We all know he was a little bit crazy, but we  could not follow. So Greg, thank you for being   a visionary and providing a first class tech  support to this facility with your entire team.   Lorie, thank you for finding creative ways to hire  mechanics pilots that most people can't figure   out. Paul, thank you for collecting everyone's  receipts and getting that first class on nothing short of a   genius. the genius of figuring out how to make  taxpayer funds that over five to six year   process we can not only complete the ammo  project this project and another kind project so thank you for the the work that you did   being a visionary for making this one of the  best aviation in the country. And then Mar,   my good friend, I like

to say that she throws  glitter grenades everywhere that she goes. She   will blow up a meeting and send it into a whole  different direction for reasons that only she saw.   She ability to connect people like John Ohio  with businesses and legislative officials and   create networks that no one ever saw. So Barney,  you're super grateful for that. And finally, We signed up for aviation when a month ago  we said we're going to build the other side   of this hanger. what's going instead  adult education. We're going to bring   a golf a mechanic program to the other side  of that hanger and then we're super grateful   leadership but for the vision of  bringing a golf education into aviation.   They applaud teaming with the two management being  our construction partners our architectural firm   all of our people in house.

You're juggling  three projects at the same time. So we're humbled not enough to recognize our former superintendent   who's been my mentor to be honest and a mentor  to many people in the room for a long time.   He had the ability to have a crazy vision, but  he also had the ability to execute in ways that   no one else thought was possible. And that's how  you end up with 300 people at a rib from various   different audiences, offices, and stakeholder  groups that most people just will have access to   God. We continue to be humbled by your  leadership, your relentless pursuit   of a crazy mission. You inspired this entire  room and this entire room should take us   quickly. Here's what we'd like to do. In about 30 seconds,  we're going to our ceremony. I'd like to thank

everyone for taking two hours of your morning  and being president. It's a big deal to us from   Valley Tech. We figured out why. Whether you're  a business partner, an elected official, wheat are grateful for the partnerships, the  relationships that we have in this room today.   You're someone in the room today that is  kind of new and don't know too many people.   Please just approach anyone from other tech  and anyone will start to welcome you into   our relationships and our conversations in  our network. We would welcome any additional   partnerships that don't currently that exist. I'd  also like to acknowledge a group of teachers that   actually are supervising kids in the classroom  right now and they can't be here to honor   and thank and we're going to honor and thank  them after every month with their own

pride.   But I want to not acknowledge the teachers that  are actually supervising people who are the ribbon   cutting so we can be here today. They are the  glue that is holding this entire thing together.   And then I'm not going to go through all  the names, but our entire marketing PR team   put significant hours into the ribbon cutting.  We saw what you guys did behind the scenes. We're going to try to pull off every two minutes a  new group. You have to leave. We understand. This   is how it's going to go. Uh group number one those  people have been communicated to before the cerebr Mr. Group number two will  be all the elected officials all group three will be all the  business including chamber represent   four of our part schools from tech theater school  as well

as high school Miami state Cincinnati   Sinclair and anyone else that's a highway  department space then our construction and   design team and your and your extended members  and then we've asked that our tech school board   as well as our tech leadership team hang around  till the end so we can serve everyone else first   and then our tech school board our tech extended  teachers and leadership team will go last   with that in mind you need to stretch your legs  shake someone's hand to your left and your right   introduce yourself to someone sitting behind  in front of you have a chance to meet.   So with that in mind, that first group to come  down to the podium, we're going to get this under
