Thank you for being here and thank you to for joining us this evening. Um are there any additions or deletions to our agenda? >> Yeah, we have one uh addition to discussion items be H2 for understanding school finance. >> All right. And is there a motion to approve the agenda with the amendment? >> I'll move. >> And I'll second that. >> Mr. Roberts. >> Yes. >> Mr. Ar. >> Yes. >> Cob. >> Yes. >> Miss Green. >> Yes. >> Motion carries. We will proceed with the amended agenda. And I presume all board members had a chance to review it. We will continue on with our first presentation. We will hear from Miss Toledo for our Knock Your Socks Off staff recognition. If you could please come up and get your picture and award when I

On top of that, she serves as our student council advisor, giving more of her time and energy to create meaningful opportunities for students. Even while carrying a maximum case load, Abby continues to show up, not just physically, but wholeheartedly for her students and colleagues. She balances it all with incredible organization, compassion, and professionalism. She is safe space, a trusted adult, and a steady source of encouragement for
every student on our team. No matter how full her plates may be, she handles it with grace and a genuine smile. We are so lucky to have Abby on our team. She truly makes our school a better place. >> Congratulations. Next is Megan Hernandez. Megan, mental health specialist at Winchester Trail Elementary, was nominated by Lisa Pontius and Ashley Morris. Lisa shares, "Megan has worked incredibly hard this school year, helping to support so many students, not only on her busy and extensive case load, but all the students in the building. She's always jumping in to help if needed, and is a very kind and genuine human to everyone. Megan often stays after school catching up on case notes and other responsibilities so she can maximize her time during the actual school day with students and consulting
with staff members when needed. Megan makes Winchester Trail a better place and we are all very grateful for her dedication to the students and staff. Ashley says Megan builds a positive relationship with all students here at Winchester Trail. You can always count on her to give you a smile and to help make your day better. She takes the time out of her day to help students in need and always willing to lend a helping hand. She deserves recognition for all of her incredible hard work. Congratulations. Next up, Drew Do. Drew Do social studies teacher at Canal Winchester High School was nominated by Steve Sedanovich. Drew is a perfect example of someone who knocks my socks off. He constantly is pushing and in to innovate and work to ensure that students are not only learning but
engaged with the content. He builds great relationships with students and treats them with kindness and respect while holding them to a high standard. Drew always greets you with a smile and a genuine care for how are you doing. He is a perfect recipient for this honor. Congratulations. Next, Allison Burns. Seventh grade ELA teacher at Canow Winchester Middle School was nominated by Nick Funkhouser and Sydney Wolf. Not only does she hold students to a high expectations, but she ensures all teammates and colleagues are on the same page when it comes to procedure and policy while demanding the very best from her students in and out of the classroom. She's provided plenty of guidance to new teachers
in the profession and that has helped build the confidence and competence in myself and others. She's a dedicated member to the Canow Winchester community and does not ask to be in the spotlight. She quietly goes about her day in helping students fall in love with reading and recognizing and developing those strong habits many of them did not have at the beginning of the year. I hope this award is her chance to finally be recognized for the hard work that she puts into her craft as an educator and as a leader for the students and teachers alike. If she does not receive this award, I hope this entry can provide a bit more insight into her work ethic and dedication to this community. Sydney shared, "Allison's impact on her team and myself cannot be overstated. She
took the initiative to ensure I was fully prepared for my first year, offering constant support and clear communication. Her dedication to her students is inspiring. She creates deeply engaging lessons that I'm now proud to incorporate into my own teaching. She is a true leader who always makes things right for her colleagues, and I'm very grateful for her guidance. Congratulations, Next up, Aaron Mays. He truly makes our workplace better and his commitment to excellence sets a standard that inspires us all. Congratulations. Next up, Audrea Reed. Andrea Reid, student support specialist at Indian Trail Elementary, was nominated by Tiffany Clo. It's hard to put into words how much Audrea Reed means to our school, but our Knock Your Socks Off award was made for people like her. Our school community has been transformed by her presence on our team. Audrea is the driving force behind PBIS initiatives. Our student of the month, student of the quarter, golden awards, weekly prizes simply would not exist without her dedication. Beyond the structured programs, Audrea is a constant source of support. Whether she's responding to a code
read call, managing a steady stream of coordination via text, or assisting staff with the Aubrey platform, she remains perpetually on her toes. She goes above and beyond attending multiple parent teacher conference nights, providing invaluable insight during MTSS tier 2 behavior meetings. Remarkably, she handles this high pressure workload with unwavering patience and a smile. I feel fortunate to have Audrea on the Indian Trail team. Next is Audrea Rice. Not sure. >> Oh, Audrey. Thank you. Um, Audrey, music teacher at Winchester Trail, was nominated by Melissa Hazelbaker. Um, I would like to nominate Audrey for being an incredible part of Canow Winchester local schools. Audrey has been my son's music teacher for two years, and I can see how she goes above and beyond with her students and absolutely radiates a love for music and the arts,
causing to be instilled in her students, even the moody fifth graders. Audrey has helped this past week to make sure Otto is doing his absolute best, even though I know she had to give him some tough love. Otto absolutely loves Miss Rice, and so do we. For the fa last three years, we've been lucky enough to attend Winchester Trail musicals, Finding Me Well, 100 Dalmatians, and this year, we can't wait to see Lion King and witness all the hard work that students have put in. This is just one example of the awesome work Miss Rice does on a daily basis. Minchester Local Schools is fortunate to have such an amazing music teacher among us. Congratulations to Audrey Rice. And finally, Sabrina Cox. Sabrina, a pair of professional at Canal Winchester High School, was nominated by
Tiara Parin. Sabrina shows up every day ready to take on whatever may come her way with grace and a smile on her face. She may be a one-on-one, but she's always ready to jump in and help out wherever she's needed. She's a hardworking, reliable, resourceful, and just a joy to be around. Congratulations to Sabrina. This concludes the recipients for the Knock Your Socks Off. Congratulations to everybody. >> Congratulations to all of the recipients. Next, we will hear from our director of student services, Mr. Max Lithan. And you're more than welcome to leave if you do not want to uh be present for the rest of the meeting. >> I do not take offense. I understand. All right. Uh, good evening, Board of Education, and those that stuck around. Thank you so much. Uh, tonight I've
had the liberty to talk about Handle with Care, which is a new initiative, uh, this school year. And so, what that is is we're going to talk about the initiative a little bit. We're going to talk about some next steps as well. Um, but the the handle with care uh initiative empowers families and caregivers to notify staff and students when they might be struggling, they might need some extra help. So there's never any specific details, just a heads up so staff can provide support without interrupting students routine. So this is really just an extra aid to provide our students with some extra support maybe if they had a bad evening or if they had a rough weekend. So, how it works at Canal Winchester schools currently is if you need to log in and do
this, you would go to the parents and guardians page on the website at cwschools.org. The path then is you click on departments, mental health services. Uh you'll be able to see handle with care there, which you'll see on the next page. And then you just fill out the Google form that just has a few questions. It asks the name, the grade level, um do you want your teacher to be notified or contacted, and then do you want a counselor to reach back out to you for maybe some additional clarity? And this is the homepage. We've taken the opportunity to put these handle with care links into place specific to each building um to make it easy in case you have students at different campuses or different buildings. The highlight here really just talks about the
program itself. And so what's interesting about this program is ID reached out to the superintendent in the western part of the state u that had put this initiative in place after Mr. Twist had brought it up to us and so I reached out to him to get some guidance on how to set this up. So this year we've taken the initiative to really put this in play for the counselors to take the lead on this program and we continue to revise and look at this every month at our mental health uh meetings and our counselor meetings that we have on the second Tuesday every month. So go ahead. So the origins of the program that we heard from Mr. Twist were more in a county uh were in different counties in the state of Ohio,
Hawking included at the time. And so that really takes a look at how they want to not only partner with schools but also uh law enforcement. So what is taking place currently um in the active district where uh Mr. Twist used to work is the handle with care program and their main points is they want to protect, they want to heal, and they want to thrive. And that is in partnership with the schools with children's services to notify the schools um and teachers or the superintendent or the director of student services in my case uh with that information so we can better equip ourselves to meet the needs of those students andor those families. And so right now it's actually in the development stage in Fairfield and Franklin County. So it is something that we
look to partner with them when it actually develops and comes into those two counties in which our residents reside. But at this time, these are the data points that we have collected through February. So at Indian Trail, we've had nine to date. Winchester Trail, they've utilized the resource 22 times. Middle school 31 times, and the high school 15 times for a total of 77 through the month of February. So it is a resource that we're utilizing. Uh we are keeping track of those that reach out and we obviously are very sensitive. If they want us to reach back out to them, we do from the counselor perspective. councils will then let administrators and or teachers know depending on the nature of the comments that are left on the Google form. The next steps is I
will be updating these numbers on my board report monthly for your view and we will keep you up to date on the Fairfield County and Franklin County programs and once they are able to be active, we will then look to partner with those agencies in that respect as well. So, this is just a highlight of the handle of care of what we've done this year um and looking to continue to evolve and advance it in the future as well. Uh any questions from the board of education? >> I don't have a question, but I just wanted to make a comment, >> please. Um I realize that uh research um in education uh has evidence that supports that students are motivated for success by feelings and this kind of service um it supports educating the whole
child and I think it's just great to hear a report on this um because I believe that um many of our families may not be aware that this uh exists for them to use as a support for their child. So, I'm glad that um you are reporting on this. So, I just hope that uh our school community um that they're encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. Um and I do understand that uh these kinds of supports helps to remove learning barriers for our students as well. So, it's very positive. >> So, it's a great emotional release potentially for families, social emotional piece as well. Um it can be as intrusive or invasive as if the students want to share or it can be as soft as just a conversation. So it's really up to
the student and the family and how they perceive that how they want to go forward with that. Uh the principles have put out messaging um throughout some of their Sunday communications throughout the year and sprinkled it in um that it is an option. But we can continue to do that on a more regular basis if that's something um you so choose. >> Great. Are there any comments from board or questions? >> Yeah, I just want to say thank you for the presentation. Well done. um to echo what uh um President Thally said was is to just say I I was hoping just to bring this up to out, you know, not that it's been in the dark, but just to bring it up so people can know that it's there and uh and know that
this is an opportunity for them to uh to help their students um uh or you know, even a neighbor student if there's something that's going on. So, uh I appreciate your information. And the one question I have for you is what's this costing us? >> Uh it's free. Uh it just cost the time that we're already serving our students. Um so little bit of front-end work in the summer uh to put the Google forms together along with some conversations with the mental health team. It's not something I did alone. The team deserves as much credit as anybody um to put the Google forms together and we have tracking system. But other than a little bit of time, that was it. We already have the technology in place and we just utilize it. So for us
to be able to utilize a system of this nature and and have it be free is pretty incredible. So thank you for doing that. Appreciate it. >> Anything else? >> Thank you, Mr. Lithan. Oh, sure. >> I'm sorry. Can you come up to the podium, please? our online viewers. >> Okay. Hi. I just want to say thank you for this program. I think it's amazing. Um as well, I know it's the first year, but um one thing that came up in a meeting today, just just today, ironically, uh a a teacher said the parent had reached out and said, "Oh, I put in a handle with care when the young one was having a rough morning. Did you get that?" and um the counselor had known about it, but the teacher, you know, didn't that
day. So, just to I don't know who gets rights to see it or maybe she didn't click the teacher button. I don't know. But, um would love to work together even in my position to kind of help with Yeah. Yeah. just just I know that there are sensitive topics that aren't to be shared, but I I had voiced like well I think this whoever spends the most time with that student should be aware of the handle with care. Thank you for all you're doing. >> Yeah, thank you. I appreciate that. >> And we can definitely continue to facilitate those conversations. We actually had to move our March Tuesday meeting to tomorrow. So that'll be fresh for our counselor's meeting tomorrow. Have that conversation. That's a great Sounds good. Thank you. >> Thank you so much.
>> Next we will hear from CWEA. All right, moving right along. I will defer to uh Vice President Green. >> Thank you, President Tally. Um now we're going to move into our public comments. um public voice um part of this evening. This is an opportunity for um our community members um to speak at the podium and we do have someone that would like to speak. We do have three minutes and I'll be setting a timer. Um we just ask that you um keep your remarks um within those three minutes. And at this time we're going to have a Chris Ellison um come to the podium to speak on graduation courts. I'll try to speak fast and I apologize if my remarks are redundant as I understand Joe may have forwarded by email around. My name
is Christopher Ellison. I'm the committee chair for Scouting America Troop 103 here in Canal Winchester. I'm also a parent of two Canal Winchester students and scouts. I'm going to skip past a little bit here in my speech because I've only got three minutes. Um but suffice it to say that uh Canal Winchester has a rich history of scouting. Um, Troop 103 here in Canal Winchester was established in October of 1926, which means that this year we will be celebrating 100 years of scouting in Canal Winchester. Uh, we are working with the city on several events around this anniversary and we want to get the schools involved. Um, we also want to um, uh, point out that we did make a change to our troop this year. We were approved by our national organization to go
fully co-ed this year. So, we're looking forward to uh recruiting some female scouts to our troop this year and in the future soon having our first uh female Eagle Scout in our troop. Um we have a rich history of working with the schools. A lot of Eagle projects have been done through the schools over the years. Uh the story walk at the elementary schools, uh outdoor classroom at Winchester Trail, memorial patio at the high school recently, the visitor concession stand at the high school was an Eagle project and the instrument drive that benefited the middle school band. Um, so I'm here today to ask for recognition from the schools for the incredible accomplishments of our youth that reach the pinnacle of scouting, which is the Eagle Scout Award. Less than 6% of youth that enter
the scouting program will earn the rank of Eagle. It requires a lot of commitment and service. Uh, they must do a learn a litany of outdoor skills and personal skills. They have to learn to lead others. They have to earn 21 merit badges. They have to learn about citizenship, first aid, personal management, and fitness. and but among the biggest of the requirements is the eagle service project in which a candidate must devise a service project and lead others in the implementation of the plan. Uh each one of these Eagle service projects uh constitutes an average of a 100 hours of community service in the local communities and are one of the leading sources of community service projects in the nation. Um, so in celebration of these accomplishments of these youth, we are asking that the
Canal Winchester Board of Education allow these future leaders to dawn the Eagle graduation cord at their high school graduations. Um, I'm aware of uh two members of our troop uh in the class of 2026 that will be impacted by this. Mitchell Hatch and my son Nate Ellison who's here today. Um, Abby Esabilo is here with us here today. She was a little bit late getting here because she was actually working on her Eagle project before she got here tonight. Um she is with the female troop over in Lithopoulos where several girls in the canal Winchester community have um gone to uh for scouting in the past. Um we've opened discussions on this with uh Jenna Lickley who's the graduation co-chair. She fully embraces this um idea. She believes that any national organizations that allows for
such an honor should be honored by the schools. Um, we my son has also talked to a couple of vice principles at the high school. They're generally supportive as well, but they know it's not their call. Uh, I did send you out some emails which has some other school districts that um do allow the cords as well. So, I know my three minutes are up, but I want to thank you for your time and allowing me to speak. >> Thank you, Mr. Ellis. Any remarks, comments from the board? >> I just wanted to thank you, Mr. Ellison for coming to um share with the board and uh wish you congratulations on your centennial anniversary. That's wonderful. >> And uh please look us up as we'll be having some events coming up this year. We're working
with the city on having uh event probably at one of the parks here in Canaan October going to be open public our alumni some people that maybe been scouting in the past with us like uh Joe here. >> That was my my comment. >> There we go. Adam and I were both >> We want to try >> back in the day trip 103. >> We want to try and get as many alumni to come out and see us as possible. Uh I think it's gonna be a fantastic event. >> Yeah. And if you don't mind, I'd like the the Eagle Scouts to come up just to be recognized for their service. >> You're almost there. Nate Nate uh did the music drive for the uh Canal Winchester um middle school band and uh got over
five instruments donated to the band. Aby's working on uh Well, tell us what you're working on, Abby. >> I'm working on fixing up a gazebo and building a picnic table. >> Wonderful. That is so awesome. We appreciate you. >> Thank you so much. Thank you for having us. That concludes our public voice. I will hand it back over to President Tally. >> Moving into our executive reports, we will hear from Mr. Roberts as our treasurer. >> Uh good evening. Going to be brief tonight. We just did the forecast last month and I have a presentation uh later in discussion items. Um we're trending to forecast there's really a quiet month in in February. We're expecting our property tax settlements to come um probably later this month uh first part of April. Um so that will
be helpful to the cash balances um November, December, January and February are pretty slow in terms of revenue collection. Uh expenditures are trending right to where we need to be in the forecasts uh year-over-year. Um revenues are down slightly but we anticipated um kind of stable uh revenue with the state funding formula uh with economically disadvantage. That's why we see a huge uh 15.1% reduction. That's all economically disadvantaged through the state formula to where that was adjusted. Um state income is up a little bit overall. So, it's kind of a wash from from the state perspective. Um, this is more of timing and payment. Uh, income tax is up 5.3%. We anticipate that to be 5%. We have one more quarter uh to collect that will be coming in April. So, then we will have
our final um seats that we'll know exactly where we stand. Um, and this is the big piece um of the puzzle on the real estate tax that year-over-year expenditures, salaries, benefits up 9% 8% um mainly due to salary schedule changes um and insurance changes uh and then supplies and purchase services are pretty trending uh close to break even uh year-over-year uh which I would expect that trend to kind of continue over the next couple years because we're going this is where we're going to attack our savings um in the near future and then we'll have to look at other things later but try to stabilize things through those expenses. Any questions uh on that? Always go over the interest report. U so as you're aware that uh I think the Fed was supposed to do
the 0.25 in this last they did not. They held the rate. Um I think we're heading towards a new fair Fed chair at some point. So who knows where interest rates head from there. We'll keep taking advantage uh of the extra income uh while we can and rates are still at least somewhat strong. I think they're trending around 375 or so with our portfolio. Uh where we kind of go out into the future. We're sitting at about 5.25. As long as RA is kind of stable, we can stay ahead of the game and and keep investing long term and taking advantage of rates, lock those in as much as we can. Any questions uh on this month's for forecast? >> As I said, I'll have more later um a little bit more deeper dive into
something uh with project and capital versus operation. >> Thank you very much. Next, we will hear from Mrs. Toledo on behalf of the superintendent report. >> Congratulations to Canal Winchester High School choirs on a fantastic performance at the OMA large group District Contest. All four choirs earned superior or excellent ratings and three groups qualified for state championship. Uh symphonic, tenor, bass, corral, and varsity singers all received superior ratings and will advance to the state contest while symphonic soprano alto earned an excellent rating. We're proud of the hard work and dedication these students and their directors continue to demonstrate. Now, Winchester High School also recently hosted a Girls in STEM event for Cisco Academy students in recognition of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Alumni Bailey Tyler, Tavana Guy, along with Brianna Duffy
from the G&J Pepsi Cola Bottlers shared their experience working in technology and offered advice about building careers in STEM fields. Their message to the students was simple but powerful. There is a place for them in these industries and their potential is limitless. Congratulations and good luck to Canow Winchester High School senior Rosalie Wisaw who competed in OSAA girls state tournament this weekend. Rosalie recently achieved her 150th pin and is the first girl in school history to qualify for the state tournament all four years of her high school career at Canowan Chester Middle School. The eighth grade girls basketball team wrapped up an incredible run, finishing their middle school careers with two undefeated seasons and a remark remarkable 32 and 0 record. We're proud of these student athletes and their dedication they showed throughout their time
in their middle school athletics. Our elementary schools have also been busy celebrating learning and student wellness. Indian Trail Elementary recently celebrated right to read with the themed spirit days literacy activities and a special guest speakers from Zetapai Delta sorority who had helped share the joy of reading with all the students. Meanwhile, Winchester Trail Elementary prepared to kick off another season of Soul Sisters, a fitness club for girls in grades three through five that encourages students to stay active, build confidence, and work towards completing a 5K together later this spring. That concludes Mrs. Hunt's report. Thank you for your continued support to our students, staff, and schools. >> Thank you. Are there any questions or comments the board? hearing none. Thank you, Mr. Next, we have our board committee reports. First up is CWJRD. Mr. Twist
and I uh attended a meeting last night uh the CWJRD meeting and we were told that um registrations for spring sports are currently closed. The there is one need there. If anybody is interested um they need the swim team needs a new head coach and two assistant coaches. So if anybody's interested in that, see us and we can give you some some contact info on that. Um, anything else to add, Mr. That's it for that. >> Thank you, Mr. Art. Um, any other questions or comments? >> Hear from >> Did you guys approve theou for the uh steel drum man? No. >> All right. Thank you. We will hear from uh Vice President Green on behalf of the OSBA legislative report. >> Thank you. Uh recently the Ohio House passed House Bill 25, the Fostering
School Success Act, which aims to improve coordination and support for students in the foster care system to help ensure educational stability and success. The House also passed House Bill 437, which addresses youth cardiac safety in schools by expanding requirements related to cardiac emergency response and monitoring for student athletes. Both of those bills will now head over to the Senate um to have their hearings through committees. There are also several bills that are currently being heard in committees um that could impact our school districts across Ohio. Um, and this includes Senate Bill 144, which would restore previous educa educator lensure grade bands and provide districts more flexibility when assigning teachers. House Bill 125, which would allow excused absences for educational opportunities such as internships and career technical experiences. House Bill 545, which addresses student transportation improvements
and funding. Additional proposals include House Bill 523, which would provide financial support for student teachers to help address teacher shortages, House Bill 531, which would allow districts to the option to utilize volunteer chaplain to provide student support services, and House Bill 661, which would prohibit middle school and high school athletes from receiving compensation related to name, image, and likeness, or NIL. Um, if you're interested in learning more about any of these bills, um, you can track these bills on ohioislature.gov. And then before I close, I would like to recognize that March is women women's history month. And this month gives us the opportunity to celebrate the many women who help shape and strengthen our school district every day, including our teachers, administrators, staff members, board members, students, and community leaders, whose dedication supports the success
of our schools and our students. I'd also like to take a moment to highlight our board president, Monica Thally, who made history as the first woman elected to serve on the Canaw Winchester Board of Education. Her leadership and commitment to our district continues to inspire future generations of women in education and public service. And on behalf of the board, we thank all the women in our district and community for the impact that they make every day. And that's all I have. >> Thank you so much. And um just for a point of clarification, and I really do appreciate that acknowledgement, um I am the first black woman, President Bortman. >> Thank you. Um next we will have uh we will hear from Mrs. Cobb on behalf of student achievement. >> Good evening everyone. As the
board's uh student achievement liaison, I want to ensure our district remains focused on equitable access to learning opportunities for all students, including those receiving special education services. This includes ensuring students who need support beyond the regular school year have access to appropriate summer programming and services. We want to make sure our families and our community are aware of the community opportunities that support continued learning and social development. So, I wanted to give some insight and some resources to families in our community that they can access to ensure that their students are connected throughout the summer. Um, so please look for services through the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, our YMCA central Ohio, Canal Winchester Public Library, and Canal Winchester Joint Recreation District, CWCWJRD, along with other inclusive activities from Adaptive Sports Connection and Special Olympics
Ohio. And that's all I have for this evening. Great. I appreciate that information. Next, we will have discussion on district reports. Um, would anyone like to start? Mr. Twist, I'll let you go first. >> Sounds good. >> I too would like to congratulate the middle school eighth grade basketball team who uh finished undefeated for the second year in a row as was said earlier. Um, but congrats congratulations on 32 and0. Um, second point, I was hoping Dr. Aulie would be here, but he's not. And in his report, he talked about how he saved $650,000, and I wasn't sure how that happened. So, Mr. Roberts, do you have any insight on that? >> Yeah, I do. Um, so we restructured a little bit on the Chromebooks, uh, to where we were one to one, went to
cart systems, and then, um, been Chromebooks kind of a little bit throughout the district. Um, so Mr. Aulie collected them all, brought them all back here. Uh, we realized that we had enough Chromebooks. We didn't buy purchase uh purchase Chromebooks last year or this year. It was about $325,000 in savings in back-to-back years that make up the $650,000. >> Perfect. Perfect. I always like to point those those savings out. So, thank you, Dr. Aulie. Excuse me. So uh and the third one I have is uh the transportation department with uh Mr. Bill Whitlatch and uh the department's mechanics um have partnered with Canal Customs which is our CWHS studentr run print shop at the high school which I was just able to uh tour on Monday. And uh so I think it's really cool that
they are going to be making uh our CW branded shirts by working with the teacher Mr. Pence and his students. So, our students are going to be making those shirts for our mechanics at the at the bus garage. So, fantastic. Both both both ways. I love that. So, that's all I have. >> Okay. Does anyone else have anything to report? >> Um, I wanted to give a shout out to the high school and the music and arts department for the lightning thief. Um, that was a great performance. I was able to see that and I thought the students did a wonderful job. Saw Miss Puss there. Um, also want to shout out to um teachers at the high school that are reinforcing the attendance policy. There was a lot of uh classes that almost had
perfect attendance, perfect attendance, like Mrs. Fry, Mrs. Abrams class, and Miss Hutchings class. So, way to go for working hard to have perfect attendance at the high school. That's very important. Um, and I was happy to hear that the PTO at Winchester Trail and Indian Trail had 600 participants for the family dance. That is wonderful. Thank you all for what you do. >> Yes, I was happy to uh learn of that as well. Um I just wanted to say um that I fully support and appreciate our Winchester Trail intervention team for providing reading and math interventions at two different times throughout the day. And this is the first time this has been able to be offered. So, uh I definitely applaud that. Um we're here to encourage uh and empower our students for success and
that is definitely a way to do that. Um this allows our students to receive more supports and they especially benefit um the students who are needing both math and reading services. So that that's great. I also wanted to acknowledge um Miss uh Nicholson Burley and her team for uh their efforts in preparing the calming and deescalation sensory space at the high school. Um as I said earlier, these types of things help eliminate learning barriers and just help provide those additional supports so that we can educate the whole child. And I want to thank um or give thanks to the Brock Strong Foundation for their generous donation as well for this space. Um I also wanted to just be sure that our school community is aware of the free parenting workshops. Um there is a posted
schedule of the offerings that are free to families and I just wanted to um ask our administrators is there um ways that we're promoting this information so that folks know about it that it exists like is it on our website? Is it being pushed out so that they're aware of these free workshops? >> Okay. And then um I don't know if there's anyone here that can speak to it, but uh I understand that there's additional work that needs to be done in regard to the work-based learning environment. And it looks like they're going to um start looking into simulations so that students can receive more um professional experience hours and specifically in three pathways. networking, engineering and the biomed pathways. Um, is this something that hasn't started yet or what are the ideas or >>
Mrs. can come up? >> So, uh, work-based learning is part of the um compliance measures for our CC. So for networking um the where the reason we have to do a corrective action plan is just because it was a reporting error. We are very lucky with networking. We have student internships in the summer. Um we have our um Home Depot where they can earn work-based learning hours. But for engineering and biomemed, it's been really tough because not only getting the kids scheduled into um places like um like we have our fourth med our fourth biomed class at Ohio Health, but to earn 250 hours over the course of that year, it's it's really difficult with kids um schedules. So, we're looking at some more virtual simulations that they can do as possibly elective credit. Um
we just had a meeting last week with um a company that has I mean it's It's basically like an emergency room and the kids would get these patients and assess and um so anyway, we're that's what we're exploring right now. Um and we're going to look at the same thing for >> Okay. And then that would be something that just can be incorporated into their schedule like already. >> That's what we're hoping because um you know our kids are that are enrolled in a lot of those classes are very active. They have sports. Um a lot of them already have jobs. So we're yeah we're trying to look at ways for them to get those 250 hours over the course of um the years after they become a concentrated. >> Thank you for sharing that.
>> Also lastly um I understand that uh there's been a lot of professional development activities going on throughout the district. in particular. Um what caught my attention was the um update provided that there's some updates regarding the MAP assessment which is the measures of academic progress and it was mentioned that there are some updates that were been being made in reading and math that um they uh revealed at the conference at the educational service center and I didn't know if someone could just speak briefly on any if they knew of what those updates are or what those updates look like. >> Either Mr. Lenger or Mrs. Fink or Mr. Whitlatch, that was his old position, but he's transitioned out. >> Thanks, De. >> Um, basically the the map norms were just updated for the school
year. So, um, things like algebra readiness, um, it used to be an average of 235, is now a 237. So, it was just everything was reormed, >> numericalized. Okay, great. Thank you. >> And that's all I had. Is there anything else from the board regarding the district reports? >> I would like to call out and recognize Mr. Whitlatch for stepping in and taking over our transportation um department. And and also I'd like to recognize Mr. Lden Schllegger and Mrs. think for because they're going to have to pick up some duties that they that Bill had and uh so we just want you all three to know how much we >> Yes, I echo that. Thank you, Mr. Arm. >> Next up, um is there a motion to approve the consent agenda items? >> If not,
I'll move. >> I'll second. Thank you. Any discussion? >> Yeah, we have the you do have some donations. Uh those donations are from the CW staff scholarship that's anonymous. We also have Brock Strong Foundation that has um come forward, the CW Lions Club and then some particular people to help with the musical and science olympiad and um for the middle school. Also in the area of um the certified personnel, we have some retirements and resignations. Um retirement for Raone Connley, the middle school is going, I'm sorry, resignation. Um, and then Kelly Heler, she is retiring this year and I'd like to thank her for her 32 years of service as an art teacher in Canester schools. Um, so we will wish her luck in her next venture. I know she has a lot um going
on outside with um farming and planting and gardens and much more. So um we thank her for her service and wish her the best. We also have uh teacher recommendations for the 26 27 school year. Joseph Mlan as a psychologist and Mallerie Bert as an intervention specialist. Some classified personnel. We'd like that and for you to accept resignations from um Tim Sigman and also have a couple leaves of absence to approve as well from Brenda Isil and Julie Gibson. We're asking for you to approve classified Julie Voss um as a special education aid and also substitute bus aid Marquetta Smith in the supplemental personnel and stipens. As we've mentioned in a couple of meetings in the past, we have some rescended contracts. Um, that's due to us doing the approval for supplementals and stipens in
May. So, that will kind of correct itself next year. Um, we do have ask that you approve several coaches. C. Satanovich for high school boys track, Payton Trace for assistant baseball, and Charles Cunningham for assistant baseball as well. Do have a couple volunteers to approve as well. Um, there two students that would like to graduate early, so there's some early graduation requests. And then we have overnight trips that we'd like to approve, Stacy Fletcher and David King, both with um their student groups, HOSA and BPA. One will be in Toledo, Ohio. The other one will be in Nashville, Tennessee. So we wish them luck in their um venture to their leadership conferences. Any questions? Any um anything from the board regarding the consent agenda? Sorry. Anything from the board regarding the consent agenda? I did
have one question regarding the overnight trip for the business professionals of America. Um in the uh board meeting notes, I didn't see the number of students that would be attending it. It said that uh that would be determined in a February. I think it was like February 24th. Um, is there an update regarding how many students that will be attending? >> I know they do have to qualify. Mrs. are you aware? Okay. So, that kind of >> Okay. So, that kind of answers my next question. I was just wondering I know it's typical that there's not outside shepherds, but I was just kind of concerned if there were a large number of students if we would need um chaperones. >> 10 is the final number. Okay. >> So, two teachers would be the >> Okay.
>> for the BPA. >> All right. Sounds good. Any further discussion on the consent agenda items? Hearing none, uh, we'll take a vote. Mr. Roberts. >> Mrs. Tally. >> Yes. >> Mr. Twist. >> Yes. >> Mr. Art. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Cobb. >> Yes. >> M. Green. Yes. Motion carries. >> We have our first action item. And is there a motion on the first action item declaring urgent necessity and authorization for the GMP amendment for the bleacher expansion? >> I'll motion it. >> I'll second. >> Thank you. Uh this one is tricky. This this project was supposed to run through the larger project BAC athletic fieldhouse project. Um but we are behind schedule with early sight GMP on that package and to make sure that the bleachers are completed prior to August 1. We had
to break this out. Um this is the wording that we had to do. I just want to note for record that we did bid this project in December 2024 with no bids. We did receive three quotes in January and we did work with the lowest quoter for that. Um legal felt like it was too long of a gap between when we bid it to theirs. So that's the wording of why we have it uh that it was not bid when it definitely was bid. We just had committed to running it through the project and Summit Construction who was mentioned in this going to take it on through the GMP early site since they're going to be on that area doing the athletic fieldhouse anyway. Wanted to make those points for the record. Uh the cost
um didn't change. That was the cost. We were going to have uh potential savings uh through the early sight GMP uh since they were doing all the work there. those savings are lost uh due to the timeline being behind schedule. Uh so that was the only negative of separating it out. We definitely wanted to hit the schedule of August being ready for hopefully it's ready by the middle of July and we're not pushing August 1. All right. Are there any um questions or discussion regarding this item? Um I did have just one clarifying question regarding the time frame. Uh what do you expect or when do you expect the project to begin? Is it did you say August 1 for the project to begin? Are you talking about fores to be finished by August 1?
Yeah, they they've the fence is already up around the site. Um hoping they start in the next week or so. We're waiting on the resolution passed and then they will start working >> and then they're able to go to work right away. >> Yeah. >> All right. Sounds good. >> Thank you. Um if there are no more uh discussion then we will take a vote. Mr. Green, >> Mrs. Tally, >> yes. >> Mr. Art, Mr. Cobb, >> yes. >> Mr. Twist, >> yes. >> Motion carries. Next. Is there a motion to approve the resolution establishing a capital projects fund for the purpose of accumulating resources for the acquisition, construction, or improvement of fixed assets for the performing arts center and athletic facilities? A motion. >> Second. >> Right. Discussion. >> Uh yeah, we did one
of these uh it's been about a year ago for 0701. Uh we had borrowed $15 million at that time. Um, and with the cash balance requirements that legislators were trying to put, we wanted to have resolutions that protected us that so that we weren't just moving funds into the capital projects and hiding it out of the general funds. This resolution is very detailed to the debt structure that we just approved uh last month or in January um to cover us to make sure um when we do move money to this account, it's not us moving money to to hide it or anything. It's to pay the debt and it's already earmarked for that. This allows us to set up the capital project fund and then move money into it to pay the debt for the
schedule in the resolution. Any questions, comments? Hearing none, we'll move to a vote. >> Mr. SC, >> yes. >> Miss Green, >> yes. >> Mr. Art, >> yes. >> Tally. >> Yes. >> Mr. Twist. >> Yes. >> This resolution passes. Next. I move to approve the resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the budget commission and and authorizing the ne the necessary uh tax levies and certifying them to the county auditor for fiscal year 2027. And is there a second? >> I'll second. >> Thank you. Discussion. >> Thank you. Uh this is a routine item. We do this every March. Uh the county sends us uh what they expect the tax rates to be. This is for the next tax year um which will be tax year 2026 collection year 2027. Um so
determines the rates on what they think they will need to to collect uh for our evaluations and voting emergency lobbies and all. >> All right. Any questions or comments? Hearing none, we'll move to a vote. >> Yes. >> Mr. Twist, >> yes. >> Mr. Arley SC, >> yes. >> Miss Green, >> yes. >> Motion carries. >> Next, uh several items are all board of revision complaints. And the first one, um do I have a motion? Thank you. I'll I'll only speak on this first one and then they're all the same. Um so we used to be able to uh file the complaint without board action. Uh but legislators changed that um to where we had to take a couple different actions. We have to notice them and the board has to pass the resolution. Uh
the difference has to be greater than $567,000 in the value to qualify, which all of these do. Um so we are going to pass resolutions on each of these properties, file the complaint to the board of revisions, and then they will review it and determine what the new value should be. And this is generated from the sale of property. Any questions on the first one? Concerns hearing? None. Mr. Roberts. >> Mr. Twist. >> Yes. >> Miss Green. >> Yes. >> Mr. Art. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Cobb. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Tally. >> Yes. Motion carries. The next one pertains to another parcel number. And I move to approve the resolution. Is there a second? >> Second. >> Uh, we will take a vote. >> Mrs. Tally, >> yes. >> Mrs. Green, >> yes. >> Mr.
Cobb, >> yes. >> Mr. Twist, >> yes. >> The second uh board of revision complaint is approved. The next one. Is there a motion to approve the this resolution? >> So moved. >> I'll second. >> Mr. Roberts. >> Mr. Green. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Tally. >> Yes. >> Mr. Art. >> Yes. >> SC. >> Yes. >> Mr. Twist. >> Yes. >> Motion is carried. The next one. >> I move to approve the resolution. Mr. >> All right, Mr. Roberts. >> Mr. Tally, >> yes. >> Mr. Art, >> yes. >> Cob, >> yes. >> Miss Green, >> yes. >> Mr. Twist, >> yes. >> Motion carries. And is there a motion for the following uh board of revision complaint? >> So moved. >> I'll second. Mr. Roberts. >> Mr. Twist. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Tally. >>
Yes. >> Mr. Art. >> Mr. Cobb. >> Yes. >> Next one. Um, is there a motion to approve this resolution for this particular parcel number? >> Motion. I'll second. >> Thank you, Mr. Mr. Cobb. Yes, >> Mr. Twist. >> Yes, >> Miss Green. >> Yes, >> sally. >> Yes. Motion carries. >> And we have one. Um, I move to approve the resolution uh for uh the Fairfield County parcel number. And is there a second? >> I'll second. >> That will be um Leah >> and Mr. Robert. >> Mrs. Tally. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Cob. >> Yes. >> Mr. Art. >> Miss Green. >> Yes. >> Mr. Twist. >> Yes. >> Motion carries. >> Next business item. We have the final reading of policy 9130 um concerning public complaints. And would there be any further discussion
on this item? Oh, I need a second actually. >> Second. >> And is there any further discussion? >> Hearing none, we will move to a vote. Mrs. >> Tally, >> yes. >> Mr. Arth, >> yes. SC. >> Yes. >> Motion carries. We finally have a uh public complaint policy. So our next um business item we have uh discussion we have two discussion items. So we have um a policy first reading regarding the attendance and um we will I will pass this to Miss Mrs. Toledo and I pass it to Mr. Lithan. Um he has some information about this um policy. All right, good evening once again. So, attendance uh policy has to be in play by August 1st uh per the law. Um this has been an extensive project that Mrs. Hunt and I have
been working on in accordance to tie in with our handbook that will be you guys will be looking at at the end of this coming month um and looking for that approval. In addition to that, it is in partnership with Franklin County truency intervention program and prevention program rather. And so that has to go through a certain checklist that is brand new this year with Franklin County. If you're in the TIP program, other districts such as Reynoldsburg and ourselves are in that program. And so we met a couple weeks ago downtown um and the truency officers were there and we just had a really good discussion about what that looks like and how the actual attendance policy can then um we can move forward and make sure we're understanding chronic absent absenteeism rather and habitual
truency and things of that nature. What we will do is then put those into play with our teams next year at each building. Um so it does look different compared to um House Bill 410. We're following House Bill 96 language now. Um and that was something that was mandated that has to be in place by August. So that's why we're bring it to your attention tonight um for the first reading. >> All right. Um I did have a question in regard to attendance. Um I'm certain that the school will be sure that they're um reporting attendance accurately. But like for example, if a student is marked absent in a particular class, but the absence is due to another school related function such as a field trip. That absence reported for that particular class is not
going to count towards that for the >> That's correct. that counts as an educational opportunity such as field trips and things of that nature. There's actually um 17 or 18 new things that are highlighted in this attendance policy. Um religious expression days are in there. College visits are another opportunity that'll be excused absences or opportunities as well. Um and this has all been vetted through Neiola and like I said, we had to go through a checklist with Franklin County as well. So there's been multiple eyes on this to make sure we have been as thorough as possible. Um, and I met with Destiny Jones downtown to kind of have her her blessing on this. Um, before >> Okay. Just wanted to be sure. >> Thank you. You're welcome. Are there any other questions or concerns
from the board >> outside of the differences between um recognizing college visits and things of that nature? What do you see as the biggest changes from House Bill 410, House Bill 96? >> Biggest change is we have a lot of autonomy now in the district. instead of 410 was much more constructive. 96 gives the local district an opportunity to be more flexible in how we perceive things at the 50 hour mark or 5% and how we're going to communicate to families um before we get the social worker or myself involved after um the teams might meet with them when we look at students that might be at risk of getting closer to that 10% with chronic absenteeism. So really it is an opportunity to be much more proactive and preventative. And so we're going to
put some messaging out in July and August to really urge them to get into school and get on time and be uh not tardy and things of that nature and really put that push in and communicate with families upfront. I don't think that's something maybe I have done or we have done well in the past and so we want to take those measures in August and September to really set them up for success in quarter one. Um because naturally we students miss or get sick typically more so in the winter season. So if they can have a really good attendance rate at the beginning, we might have some of that natural sliding because of illness, but then we can rebound in the spring. We obviously want to continue to lower our absentee rate. >> What
is our current rate? Do you know? >> Um I believe it's under 20%, but I do not have the exact. Do you know um how we are trending um with other uh schools districts our size as far as attendance? >> I do not have the data. That is something I definitely >> Thank you. >> Any other questions, comments? >> Hearing none. Thank you, Mr. L. >> Thank you. >> We do have another discussion item. uh understanding the um school finances and we will hear from our treasurer, Mr. Roberts. >> Yeah, thank you. Um, so since the last uh forecast that was presented last month, um, I think there's starting to be some um, curiosity around how our cash balance is um, pulling down, but we're still doing um, a PAC project, athletic facilities, and that.
So, I wanted to touch on it just a little bit. We're going to touch on this much more probably monthly over the next year or so as we as we get into this. Um, so I just wanted to give a timeline of how things kind of developed. So I was actually surprised it was so far back, but we started master planning for these facilities back in June of 2024. Um, so we engaged community, we engaged staff, all all these things to come. Mrs. T I think you were a big part of the these meetings to determine what the needs were and the priority list that these needs were set. So we came up with a master plan u and then that was established and then we approved uh the first financing in December of 2024.
Uh we brought on the architect and CMR u in February. Uh the architect was in February and the CMR was in in March. Um and then the state budget was released in July. So much of this activity of doing the project was done and committed to before we knew the state budget information and before we obviously knew the property tax reform that just happened December of 2025. Uh we borrowed the financing. The financing has to be spent within a certain amount of time. Um we can't just hand it back. So kind of tied us into that project. Uh so that's why we move forward with that project. Um then I just kind of wanted to get in and you're going to see a theme through this to trying to rate relate to people's uh personal
um income at their house. Um so operational revenue I view that as a household income. It covers your your daily expenses, your operational uh your salaries, your utilities much like your income at home may cover all of your monthly bills, your vacations, all of those things that you would do in that given year. As you can see, our revenues are uh 64.2 million this year, expected to go down the next two years, and then we get a little bit of increase. While we know expenditures, operating expenditures don't have that same trend. They've got the more upward to the right trend uh in this case. So, and then I look at cash reserves more as your savings accounts, your 401ks, your 403bs. Uh, and the way I've always viewed cash reserves in this district is it
allows us to stay in a proactive approach. Thankfully, we had the cash balance. I know there's many districts around us in central Ohio that are that are riffing already uh because they've had to react uh because they didn't have the cash reserves uh that we had. Um so I've always viewed that as oneoff expenses whether it's uh capital projects we've done in trail edition with it. We've done field turf replacement with with cash reserve. We've added tennis courts with cash reserves. We've done a lot of different things with oneoff things that are not operationally going through um year after year after year type of expenses. You can see our cash balance and I want to note that everything to do with the project is going to be done in fiscal 2026. So now that we
have the resolution for the new capital projects fund, I will bring to you uh next month or in May the transfers that go along with that. So all of the cash declining from that point forward is simply due to operational. That means operational day-to-day expenditures exceed the revenues that are available to us. Nothing will be a part of it. 2027 8 29 and 30 no capital needs will be a part of those expenditures. So you can see that decline is happening without the capital uh projects in there. Obviously it's due to the recent budget changes. Uh we had the switch in state uh state funding formula. We had the property tax reform come through uh was a $17.5 million impact as we stated last month over a four-year period with most of it coming from
the state budget which was about 15 million of the impact. Um so it's more the income is being uh frozen and reduced than it is uh operational expenditures being out of control. Uh we've maintained that. Um so we're going to look at different things uh in in the near future. Uh try to take care of things that uh don't have impact on students, don't have impact on everyday instruction. Um and then it's kind of a waiting game um for us. Um, if I go to the next slide, these capital projects to keep the house theme alive. It's more like you're doing a renovation to your home. Um, so these are some of the projects that are taking place. These are the most up-to-date renderings. Uh, you can see the PAC, the athletic facility, and then
the new uh softball field and two softball fields and one baseball field. Put you in perspective. This is the stadium right here. So, like I said, um the cash has allowed us to um do some pretty neat things. Uh our PAC is 100 years old. Um we obviously that is a need for the school district uh to get that and have a center place in the district, have a place to meet, have a place for the performances. Um and then not ask taxpayers for additional dollars. Uh you could question later when we have to actually levy but this project I want for the record I want if we levy in the next couple years it's not due to the project that was a simple one-time cash that would have taken us from $40 million cash
to $25 million cash. It's the reduction in operational income revenues that are issued moving forward. is not the one-time expenditures. We've always been able to absorb the one-time uh expenditures. It's the when your expenditures on a day-to-day are more than your revenue that you're bringing in is where we get into problems. That's why we're in the holding pattern pattern right now. Um as I said in February, uh we have a new governor that's going to be elected in November. I think we will know pretty quickly. I feel that the educational piece of it will be a top three agenda item for whichever governor is wins the race. So I feel like we will know uh where they are trying to take education and and finances related to education fairly quickly and then we can game
plan from there moving into the next fiscal year where have to get a little bit more drastic. So want to leave you with this. Cash reserves just gives us time to make good decisions. Uh but they cannot replace a balanced budget. That's it. Having questions happy to open up discussion. Um >> yeah, I just I want to point out I guess or or kind of make sure I understand the timeline here. June of 2024 was when we first started talking about this. >> That is when we engaged the architect. Yes, that was a that was a resolution that was passed. Uh it was probably before that, but that was the first board resolution to hire uh SHP to to do master planning, >> right? Um commitments were made to to that endeavor. >> It was
a pretty lengthy process. I mean we did months and months and months of uh meetings, big meetings, small meetings, group meetings, steering committees >> break out >> and it was a a list of I don't know about eight things that kind of came from uh that with performing arts center was number one by almost everybody that was part of the project whether it was athletics or performing arts or didn't matter the group performing arts was the top item for every one of them Right. And then that's when the state made some changes um >> almost a year later >> that drastically changed our financial situation. >> Correct. >> Now we're at a at a point where there's no turning back type thing. >> Correct. >> Yeah. We have to spend the money and we're going
to we're already tied to the almost like you buy a car and you want to take it back the next day because you have buyer remorse. Well, can't. You borrowed the money. you paid for it. This is not isn't buy or remorse. This is this is a great thing for the district. I'm just more saying >> any cash balance issues moving forward is not the result of this project result of operational revenues declining. Thank you. >> I know that during our work sessions, this has been a point of conversation. Um, we also talked about communication and our communication and as we're vetting questions from members of the community about our finances and how this is impacting our overall forecast. What type of for communication are you putting out to the community um about this? So,
they are aware of that there's two different buckets of money and etc etc etc. or we can talk more about it at our >> Yeah, we met uh director of communications uh Mrs. Anthony. We met uh earlier this week and she's going to start looking at the newsletters um revamping the website uh and doing those things because we need to have something on to kind of update people on this project as well as we get going. Um, and then we're going to look at some other things as well, but we're going to definitely re-engage the newsletter. Uh, it's not going to just be financial. It'll be other things, but a big chunk of it will be financial. Got away from that. We used to do it all the time when I first got here. I
think my first six or seven years, the last couple years, we kind of went away from the newsletter. Uh, but we're going to get back to the newsletter at least where we're sending out at least sounds like maybe quarterly. I'll have more as we talk in the work session. >> And then I I suspect that um we'll hear more about this during the state of the community presentation that's going to be in April um between the Canal Winchester School District and um Canal City officials. Um are you Is anyone aware of if that's going to be something that will be discussed? I'm sure it will, but >> yeah, Kai and I need to get together. We're definitely planning to uh present. Uh we just need to figure out which message um we share and I
think she's has the last couple years she had she's done it. Um I did it with Jim a lot, but it sounds like maybe I'm going to help coordinate with her a little bit more this year. >> Very good. And >> that's April 22nd if I'm not mistaken. >> And also um just to piggyback off of Mrs. Cobb, uh I do think um making sure that we communicate with all of our um stakeholders that like the process as it continues so that they can follow along with the process and know where things stand. Um, so I'm hoping and we'll probably have um larger conversations including Mrs. Anthony, but I would love to get something out there perhaps on our website like a tracking >> mechanism so that they can go to it and see what
stage the process is in so they can keep track of it. I know this is something very exciting for our district. So >> extremely exciting. just want to make sure that they're >> we definitely need to celebrate it and make sure people understand what we're doing. >> Um, the PAC is great. I mean, I don't I think I don't think people understand the athletic fieldhouse of what how how large that site's going to be. And then the new fields, I mean, our fields are were built in the early se 1970s. So, those fields have settled and done lots of things over time. that have touched pretty much in my time here, we've almost touched every sport and every single activity uh in some way uh with facilities in sight. So, it's it's it's nice to
be able to finally really impact the art side uh with the performing arts center. >> Yeah. Also, um I'd like messaging to go out um so that uh families of high school students will know how they would be impacted even with the athletics and also with academics so that they can stay ahead of this too. Um is there anything else any further discussion or questions before uh we adjourn? I just want to um wish everyone um a happy and safe spring break coming up next week. And uh is there a motion that we have on the floor to adjurnn? >> And I'll second it. Mr. Roberts. >> Mrs. Tally. >> Yes. >> Mr. SC. >> Yes. >> Miss Green. >> Yes. >> Mr. Twist. >> Yes. >> Motion carries. Meeting is adjourned. Thank you.
