So, we will call the meeting to order. Notice of this meeting was given in accordance with the provisions of bylaw 0164B of the Riverside Local Board of Education, which was adopted in accordance with section 1.450 of the ORC and Ohio Administrative Procedures Act. Can you take roll, please? >> Mrs. Kanetski. >> Here. >> Mrs. Grassi. >> Here. >> Mr. Ideno. >> Here. >> Ms. Brewster. >> Here. >> Mr. Byers. >> Here. >> Can we stand for the Pledge of Allegiance? I pledge allegiance >> to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> You may be seated. All right. So, first on here is a resolution authorizing and approving the guaranteed maximum price for the Buckeye
Elementary School Improvement Project at a cost not to exceed $14,555,097. Can I get a second, please? >> Second. Second? >> Yes. Thank you. I I'm like, I know it came this way. All right. Any discussion? I think we >> Just for the final clarity, um So, we have every tran- everything that's covered on under the 14 million, which does not include architectural fees, but the vast majority of the architectural fees, um less about 200,000, are all are accounted for in the last project. The 200,000 was the changes to the actual what the design originally was and what the design became at Buckeye. Um addition additionally uh our initial forecasted fee for the cops repayment was 1.2 million. It looks like and won't know for sure until bonds are sold, but it looks like it's going
to be much closer to $1 million or slightly over $1 million. So, obviously we'll need to less out that out of the PI, add $200,000 into the PI, and then um overall we'll still we'll be ahead, but that's that'll uh I'll present that at our next committee meeting and then at the next board meeting. >> Okay. And then um it does this also include the owner's rep fee? >> No, owner's rep fee has always come out of PI. And then remember it was $14,000, we renegotiated to $8,500. >> And that's uh contract expires in December of '27. Um I I can't imagine that I would that I personally would recommend continuing that contract, but um that's for discussion at a later date. >> Right. And then um because Mr. Riachi uh the owner's rep did
mention something about having saved four or five hundred thousand. I don't know what the figure was. It was up in that range. >> They're still working on it. >> What was that? >> There We don't have that final number. They're still closing out of They're closing out both uh CTX as well as Riverview. So, once we get the final number, we'll get that back into the PI. >> Okay, so that'll just go into PI and offset other costs. >> But I think that number we need to take a look at, right? Because I think there's things that were done that should not have been done and we're now readjusting that, right? >> Yes. >> What was the saving? >> doing on our own that was in the initial project. It's all >> So, for instance,
I think one of those was the toilets in the preschool rooms were >> The toilets in the preschool rooms were too high as the initial comments. So, we're moving them down to a lower toilet to the side. The other one is the walkway into CTX was omitted from the project. So, we're doing that this summer as well, like the direct sidewalk into it. >> So, there's other things I think I mean I understand we're reporting there's a savings, but when things weren't done the way that they should have been done, I don't know that that's truly a savings at all. >> a total cost. >> Thank you. >> Okay. And then the other thing would be um where are we with the playground over there? >> At Buckeye? There are >> Buckeye. At well, they're
actually that's a different question. Um at Riverview. >> So, can I just real quick because I want to make sure we're discussing is >> part of the costs >> of this resolution? >> Uh it's part of the costs that I'm looking at how much money is coming back in the PI that can offset some things and part of that goes back to a statement of PI owner's rep and so that's what >> playground is complete as far as I know. >> Okay, so there's no additional costs on the Buckeye site. >> believe all of the contracted playground materials are >> Okay, so we'll get clarity with how much money might be coming back to PI. That was my question. All right, and then um uh any other costs in other words, there was nothing else
to remove except we already had it in the PI budget about the removal of the trailers at Buckeye. >> I knowledge The there's the one at Buckeye. I believe that is in this GMP. I'll double check. The trailer that's sitting out there is part of the site preparation. What is not according to my meeting last Thursday with walk through at Buckeye, that was not in discussions at that time. >> Okay. >> So, you'll have to do something about that. >> Okay, and then the relocation of the existing playground and where the relocation is. >> in the GMP. >> This is in the GMP. That's what I wanted to know. >> Um I have one question. We are moving We'll be moving the first 1.2 payment forward, correct? Don't won't we have a payment in 2027?
>> Yeah, but the payment will be staggered. It's 400,000. But yes, that needs to be added and then uh >> Not that it's going to matter a whole lot. I mean, the grand >> It'll matter some, but yes, it'll be reflected in there that fiscal year 2027 will show a roughly $400,000 payment. >> And the rest of the payments will be best guess 1.01 million and we'll see for sure. I'll let you know. >> Can we Can we review that at the Buildings and Grounds meeting? >> Yes, I'll I'll have that by then. I will have the full PI ready to go and I'll We'll do We'll do that every month. >> Okay. >> Do we have a final rendering? >> We We have drawings. I don't know. I have not. They were given to
you. >> But they are They are done? >> The drawings are the design documents are done. The actual construction drawings are not done. >> You think they'll be done by the June meeting? >> I don't know. I will check. >> So, is it possible We usually get smaller versions? >> We'll get you some Yes, we'll get you what it looks like. >> And is there any work to be done in this project with Melridge? >> Nothing? Okay. >> Any other discussion? Great. Can you call the roll, please? >> Mr. Byers. >> Aye. >> Ms. Brewster. >> Aye. >> Mrs. Krenensky. >> Aye. >> Mr. Idino. >> Aye. >> Mrs. Grassi. >> Aye. >> Motion carries by the following. >> Great. That brings us to our third first reading of the policy agenda or the new
policy Sorry. The new policy on public speaking or public comment at the board meeting. >> [laughter] >> Okay, so this is um I'm sure everybody received the revisions from our suggestions from Dan. And you know, I don't know if anyone has any questions, but this is the first reading and then we'll vote on it at our next meeting. Any questions? Okay. >> All right. As we go on to the next meeting announcements, I do want to ask if we need to send a email out to the board if we can uh meet on June 16th. You confirm that um Purcell can be available. >> I've got I was waiting for the clerk but I will >> I wanted to see if we can have a work session on June 16th. Dan and David Seed said
they will come in and talk about the TIFs and we're working on getting Purcell here to talk about um >> the cops borrowings and >> Thank you. Um and some additional information on what that project would look like. >> I had 6:00 p.m. kind of confirmed I think for most on the Doodle Poll that we put out. >> Okay. >> So you said June 16th? >> June 16th at 6:00 p.m. >> At 6:00 p.m. That's fine. >> Um Mrs. Cross is leaving the next day. >> Next day. No, that's fine. We have a meeting in the in the morning so it doesn't matter. >> All right, I will add it to the calendar. >> Well, so we will have a work session on June 16th at 6:00 p.m. Curriculum and Programming Committee Meeting June 17th
