020not was be easiest with the state just coming down mandating that our online prices will be is the same as our cash prices and just for how conven convenient cash can be for the cash well ticket takers so so it could be exact change or even change so it's not going to be like $2 here two $3 there so it's either going to be a 10 or a five um to give change back so that's why we just decided to increase the prices uh to 10 for adults and five for um non-resident senior citizens and students um and then we also included uh our seniors still for free free senior CI resident senior citizens for free and Military Who present an ID um so we thought those were all great discussions and um and then
021Ken and the athletic department also worked on a uh updated draft of some of the things that would make it easier for their staff as well so the administration not Administration all staff members get um if they' show their badge you get them for free and we remove that additional ticket as well so they were able to bring someone for free that is no longer they would have to pay um a ticket price so trying to do being fiscally responsible but also giving to those who deserve it I do have a question just on pricing you know just because I don't I don't know we did receive an email um you know from a a Community member parent of students um you know that student athletes that are just questioning the pricing of our um
022all sports passes and I just wanted to I guess maybe out exactly how that total does that match like surrounding districts is it similar you know or you know what that I don't know offhand um but that is something that um I know one and I was talking to Ken if that's something we want to relook at that's something we could do as well I want to suggest some changes on that what's the process to do that just talk about it now yep we have a discussion about it now okay so um I understand the issue of making it easy for the ticket people but I think we have an opportunity for some good PR here um every dollar counts you have families that are a husband wife possibly one two kids you start adding
023those up it gets to be pretty pricey so $2 here a dollar there could make a difference so I still contend that I would like to keep the pricing consistent with the Suburban League which was $8 for an adult uh $4 for a student and really allow the athletic department to put a full-court press on getting people to buy the multipass uh option so that they're not beleaguered with long lines and things like that and you're only talking about football and you're only talking about five dates you know as far as where they would have that issue I believe boys basketball maybe but that's probably it you know as far as where you would have potentially long lines in making change and with that I did a little math and I may be off but
024they can check I looked at taking that 10 scan adult pass down to 72 which doing the math that's getting nine events um getting 10 scans for nine events taking the student one from 40 to 32 now they put in eight I'll go with that so they were going to give eight events for the price or 10 events for the price of eight which would be $32 and adjusting the five and the five scan for the adult and student 32 for the adult five scan 16 for the student five scan which is that you get five events for the price of yeah for the price of four so it's consistent on both of those um so that was my my suggestion on the price keeping it consistent a little PR granted it may be a
025burden but I'm you're talking five dates out of all the athletic events that we have at the school um the senior pass uh will there be some explanation as to how and where they would receive this pass so again on the advertising of this that would be worthwhile so again they have the opportunity to to advertise and promote what we're doing and then again I would like like to see and make sure that the terms and conditions uh for HomeTown tickets is very visible because I'm very concerned about data being sold and um you know I would think anyone who's using their credit card should be concerned about data being sold when they're giving out their credit card information so that that is very prevalent and and um very easy to find so that people
026can feel comfortable yes if that's Hometown tickets philosophy or or or process we don't sell it that should be very clearly stated um on that I'm definitely going to go ahead and disagree with you on the 10 and five just because it's not about it's not about the money it's about the cash being handled and the people that are in charge of making change and I think that there's just a lot higher from what we've heard there's a lot higher risk of of Fraud and a lot higher risk of of money you know missing if if there's all the the change being made all the time and I just think that keeping it consistent would be certainly in my um my opinion but at the same time I still think it's worth looking at how
027many scans get you in on a or reducing the price of the of the scan yeah and the other thing I forgot to mention we are no longer going to charge for huddle um and the thing some of the reasons we kind of did bump it up is uh the officials really get to pick the price that we pay and that's at we're at their mercy so our cost just keep going up and you know we athletic now that we're not really charging a pay to participate fee um you know we're just the journal fund has to subsidize that every single year now um so just something that we're trying to do to we're not going to bring in that much more money um but it's just going to help trying to be more fiscally
028responsible for um the district so but those were some of the other reasons I forgot to mention in this but um I I think taking a look at those scan passes is also to make it more consistent was a good idea well I understand understand that but uh I'm this was also again I'm looking from the pr standpoint uh you're going to have parents going to other schools and they're going to see okay we're getting charged eight why are we getting charged 10 at Stow sto's trying to rip us off rather than you coming back and saying maybe they're not saying anything they're saying hey this is neat we're consistent because I've been to other schools and they were charging eight or a visitor pass cash and maybe the pr is that we're more fiscally
029responsible with our decision making and Athletics well if you want to sell that fine I think I think saving money is going to be a better selling point I trust the work that the athletic department did because I know they were trying to balance a lot of different needs and I appreciate that they added something to put into respect veterans so I accept their recommendations can we yeah any other comments we just have to vote on it as is or can we you know pause on a certain part of it and yeah we'll vote as is and then um we'll make changes to um what we would want to make changes to so so we can revise it at a dater later date yeah okay okay what does that mean and when would that happen
030uh we would make the changes and put it on the next board uh meeting now are we talking about just the ones I suggested or a random opportunity of no it would be um I think in consensus it would just be the changes of the passes and what were those the multi scan passes I think I'd just like to take a look at what surrounding districts do too just to make sure I probably should have done that ahead of tonight but I didn't tonight so you know that's on me for not but you know looking at the the late email that we got it just kind of flagged it for me and it's just something that I'd like to research a little bit more so we can bring it back for the work session we

051that correctly yep and each um whether it's in person text email smoke signals yeah and then each each year it's recommended by the auditor state that everybody like myself and the board um take do the sunshine laws every every single year just to keep it fresh because they there's a lot of them um and the book is plethora pages long so it's always a good course to take and it's free all right so yeah like I said I'm glad I re-record this because the public asked me these questions um because I'm I'll get a response from people that uh going back to just the public request that there's a lot they'll get it back and then they're tell me I don't believe this you know and and I you know what can I do you

053just throw some words out there and if you know yes no or don't um I'd appreciate that is there anywhere in our curriculum where the uh where where we're using the whole child uh curriculum does that mean anything to you it does not no okay um there Ohio got the whole child framework I mean that's part of that but as far as being yeah okay um how about CSE comprehensive sex education is that in in any part involved in our curriculum CS so well we there are things that we have to comply with for by for by law around um health and sex education so we comply with all those do and again you don't we don't have to go into this now as far as um because here's my here's my biggest fear on
054this a lot of this is not a course it's a it's a methodology it's a it's a teaching method and that's what scares me to death yeah so the state generally for all those kinds of requirements they have an approved list of curriculum that you have to pick from so it's not we can't go out and choose whatever we want um the state gives us a list of of what meets the requirements that they have now do we use the word do we use terminology and evaluating our children tier one um yes because we are we um utilize mtss which is a multi-tiered system of supports so for example tier one of our curriculum is the what is delivered to all the students in the general education classroom and do we find the term Community
055stakeholders involved in any of our messaging that we're sending out there uh yeah we use Community stakeholders and okay um I did mention last time you know my concern with SE and castle and parents that are on video I strongly encourage you to research that um I strongly encourage you to research whole child um it's something I think you need to be aware of and I strongly encourage you to research csse um and then you know kind of the topper and what Miss Beto mentioned is and I looked today just out of curiosity this whole Dei I think that needs to be Revisited uh we're looking at action on that 19 uh 2021 so um again I think that needs to be Revisited at some point as far as its value and the positivity that
056is it really bringing to our students um and Patrick the last question I have the finance committee is there any finance committee update as far as that no and will there be uh uh will we be a aware of that and will will we be able to recommend people that we would think would be of value to that committee yeah um Mrs golden I will still we once she's more uh in a day today U okay position we will talk about how we see fit of the finance committee I think having some strong um adults who have accounting uh CPA you know numbers background corporate uh folks that ran you know corporations would be a a another really advantageous pair of eyes that we'd want to have on that committee and um and Nance we

058a work session kind of gotcha and and I guess and maybe I said this when I asked it previously that it was my understanding that that mental health thing was something that was moving forward and then it just disappeared who makes that decision we do but by another provider coming in okay as we we had a pre- agenda meeting as we were talking about that did we want to vote on that contract Christy was aware that that person had reached out to her and talk to her and that at that point let's set that aside so that we have the opportunity to bring another provider in and do a fair comparison and see if you know because I was kind of watching the agenda to see if it would pop up and then it wasn't
059on there at all and I said well who makes this decision and I mean all right I'll fall on the sword I should have seen it and called you it's like the chicken or the egg it's not that it's that with another one another provider coming in the the really the responsible thing to do is to consider the other provider so there was never a conversation with the provider on moving forward no that's the provider yeah uh with the first provider that part I'm not sure about so there was we wanted to keep the same process that we had done with the second provider with the first one so we have a committee that um did a presentation that saw the presentation so it includes our school counselors we have some community members um we
060have some board member participation on that so we want to give equal chance for this other provider to do that presentation for that committee actually before we come to board but after we talked to him there was not a conversation with him this looks like it's going to work or we're waiting for cont I have that conversation or anything like that we're sure okay correct yeah my my my my feedback has been that um he's looking for Grants and that we don't have money in our budget to pay for it without I me the next step would be for them to present to us a formal written proposal which we have not received so so I guess going forward I have to assume that I'm asking as many questions as I can beforehand rather than
