you know i got no problem with someone of any race i've lived in other countries i spent five years living in africa i met a lot of good black people in africa and i met some horrible white people being a good person or are not good person has nothing to do with skin tone or race it has to do with the individual so yeah i mean i'm i'm definitely against it i could not find any information on the school board here to show exactly what they were teaching the curriculum i would love some feedback on where i can find that you guys are aware of it um the other part is this this vaccine that hasn't been approved by the fda i know our governor is won't open this state until 70 of the people

get vaccinated right and now they're pushing to get kids and they're pushing that kids without permission of their parents with an unimproved substance the only reason they're using it right now is that it has emergency authorization that's it so in conclusion i really don't know where to go with the rest of it except i guess i'll keep coming back and i'll keep asking the question i'd love to hear if you guys are actually endorsing those programs if you plan on using those programs you think i might be able to get some feedback on that in the next meeting maybe that would be awesome i would appreciate that very much we are teaching them the so it says incentivize any programs that are linked to the 1619 there's money funding behind that and equity 365. if

you are planning next year absolutely best i will give you those i appreciate that no problem thank you [Music] with what he's saying um i assume that all of you are well read intelligent people so that you must know what's going on in our nation you have to know that there are things that are trying to disrupt our way of life and critical race theory is one of them 16 19 is one of them uh trying to teach sex education to kindergarteners is one of them all of these are problems that you must be aware of and you must read about them understand them and deny those things in our school system if you want to lose more students to homeschool if you want parents to pick at your school if you want more charter

schools open up and your your population of students goes down and your your income goes down because they're from the state it's because of those factors we cannot stand for that we will not stand for that and it's up to you to know what's happening and to take a stand against it and let let us know let us know your opinions on those things okay thank you thank you okay up next is oh reports and presentations school student services report the presenter is megan hunter student services director oh a little slower cast pre-meditated no i actually fractured my thumb and disconnected the tendon for an hour it kind of hurts right now [Music] sure okay okay so this year we were able to do a social studies adoption um our textbooks were extremely outdated within

many of our buildings um our teachers have been pulling a lot of resources offline and really doing a great job with what they have one of our books were from the 90s so it was ready for an update and so one of the things we did is it was a little difficult with focus on getting the vendors to send us sample books and so western oregon university partnered with us they house all of the state approved curriculums and so i was able to borrow all of these groups which was really great for our teachers to get to see all the different pieces and all the different parts and we're able to see this is exactly some of the ones that we chose so like we even got to look through like the student reader copies

and things like that so it was a super great experience for us uh the middle school last year was able to do an adoption of an approved curriculum but the other two buildings did not so this will allow us to kind of be aligned and have more of a focus based on the common core standards making sure our teachers have the resources they need and you know the elementary school it's a difficult thing because there's only so many minutes in the day and so making sure our teachers are supported and having easy to use easy accessible ready to go curriculum so what i did is i just kind of put together um just a little slideshow and i'll focus on the district website as well so families can connect with it i'm going to add

the other approved curriculums that we're using to the presentation just so families know what we're teaching their kids i think it's huge um i also want to put on there the pieces as far as um some of the laws that we address such as senate bill 52 to do prevention activities for suicide what are they using um this year we were able to purchase some curriculum that can be used next year and i think it's important for parents to know um we're following the state guidelines but i also feel very strongly that being knowledgeable about where our students live are my students don't have the same experience as the students maybe in salem or in portland and so like this year when we did parents law which is preparing students to make sure they're safe

and understand how to be safe with themselves and safe with strangers and we were able to use some of the materials that ode has but gear into what's appropriate to our students we were able to use maybe thompson our counselor to do that this year and just putting those resources out there i also think it's a great place to put more recent resources for families somebody if a parent wants i want to know more about this subject here i want to work with my child more on these parts and pieces i think that just having it available to them is super important to me can have deeper discussions with their students so as far as social studies we have a team a k-12 team come up which is really exciting so at slater elementary the

teachers really liked it's called my world and one of the nice things with my world is it's really connected to be able to be across different content areas so not only are they teaching history but they're working on writing reading and all of those great language skills so each grade level comes with a big set of readers for the students you guys are welcome so if you look through these [Music] i think i sorry try to jump up there yes so those are the elementary ones these are the high school ones the nice thing about high school they really liked the readers i think that was their favorite thing of the whole curriculum from each of the elementary teachers were look at these readers i could do small groups and i could do this with

them and but they have really big plans um my favorite was one of the teachers who said do you know how long it's been since i've had a new curriculum to teach from and i mean that's the experience you want our teachers to be prepared with you know the latest and greatest that's out there with all of the programs that are in front of you we also bought the online component as well so teachers have access to extension activities home activities um the my world has some parent communication pieces that can go home as well so that'll be really great we did do those for just one year to make sure we like the online pieces that come with it and we utilize them um next year the principals will work with their staff at

the elementary school they'll work more on those priority standards i'm not going to get through the whole book there's just not enough time in today um language arts and math and all of those other important subjects so that'll look slightly different than at the middle school and high school where they do try to get through all of the content um at the middle school this is the curriculum they purchased i believe it was last year um and it's the same as the one that aligns now with the high school curriculum they love it um i usually ask them to teach something different they would not they love the online performance it's super easy to use very student friendly and the language in there is very appropriate and great and so that's something that's pretty exciting

that they found something that works and then our high school teachers also really liked the curriculum one of the struggles they have at the high school is because of how we teach our us history they start it in middle school and then they keep going in high school and so it was pretty interesting not as a high school teacher to see them go why don't teach until here you know halfway through the book and so that was pretty interesting aligning it with the state standards and what pieces and parts they teach so it's really it was a great experience um at the high school that's the books you have in front of you and one of the biggest shifts um is that world history instead of that civics class the world history hits more of

those state level standards more appropriate to what students need to learn and the nice thing is the economics have some of those civic specifications in it as well economics book also has some personal finance finance components that they'll use um one of the things the teachers have asked is you know can we still use some of our other features and pieces to put together a solid curriculum absolutely um you know we want to make sure that we're teaching the most up-to-date approved curriculum through oregon but also being mindful of there's some other really great things out there that we've been using um one thing that's just slightly different is when you are a junior in high school you can take ap us history and that book is called american pageant i have a copy of

it downstairs if you really want to look at it and it's more read like a novel and it is approved through college work for the ap credit course because that course is quite a bit different than the cervical us history so if you'd like to see those as just opinions that's pretty exciting so every book within social studies will be updated starting next year our teachers are over the moon um and they were it was it was a really great process to work through i'm excited next year to hopefully tackle english which is gonna be a well that's gonna be a doozy that's a big area that needs a lot of parts and pieces to make a really strong curriculum uh one of the other things i did want to hit was on senate bill

01513. this is a bill that came out in 2017 and i gave you just a little bit of brief history um it was something that i i'm definitely still wondering about i am by far not the experts but one of the things i noticed within the curriculum is they do a great job hitting on some of those trouble history pieces especially with our neighbors who kind of tried being mindful of history and their personal thesis within um how they celebrate things and uh what did those holidays look like the reveal yeah their outfits look like um in the language in those pieces the nice thing with that is it really focuses more on looking at those native history traditions um versus looking at overtime it's not we don't walk the same walk we look at

the pieces that make those tribes unique ode has come out with quite a few lessons um and they're hoping to continue coming out with them so my hope is to teach some of those odd lessons in conjunction with our textbook the tribe is working on putting together a volunteer list so hopefully when we do those lessons we can have some of our partners from the tribe come in um and show us what that looks like or maybe all of the students make moccasins or learn about the different beatings and what they need one of the things that i recently learned was that the burns payment was fishing tribe you probably already knew this but i didn't know this and so just teaching our kids that um when it really celebrates their culture and finding that

importance of how come why i mean those are the questions i ask and how great for our kids to have that knowledge whether they're from the tribe or whether they're not tribal students and just appreciate the culture of one another and so that'll be something we'll continue to work on throughout the year my hope is to come up with kind of a calendar so each month we'll tackle one of the odp lessons because i want to make sure we're mindful and allowing our teachers time to plan for those activities i don't want to read the odu script and i don't want our teachers to read the script community i want them to make it personable and relevant to our students and our community so that would be something kind of in conjunction with you i

put on there i'm at the bottom a link to more of the information on this senate bill it's a pretty interesting one um the nice thing is that there's a lot of people at the state level working on these lessons um i was able to attend the training put on by a lot of the people who are creating these lessons and it was really neat it was just about preserving culture and um appreciating what differences we have between our our neighboring tribe so it was it's pretty cool i really like it it's not something i ever learned about as a student so i'm excited to have our students learn about this picture it was really long to talk about textbooks sorry we've got flower or not up here do you have any questions seems like

if my memory starts with the next year we're kind of making more of a push towards an online academy sort of presence and putting more resources for that teacher and stuff will that academy have its own social studies curriculum or can this complement that academy as well most likely they'll have their own group online curriculum one of the things that the teacher actually asked me i talked to her earlier this week is um to make sure i order for a copy of one of every book just so she can make sure um we want to be prepared for the family who says i don't want to sit on the computer for very long and the family who says i only want to sit on my computer and i i think we're going to get both

and so making sure we're prepared with the online program there's not a lot um we're looking at a couple different programs um we think we have one pick but we're not 100 sure yet uh there's not a lot of patch materials and so we're trying to make sure that we can be cognizant to fill that need and rest of the family would like so she'll have a copy of all of the social emotional curriculum she'll do that for students and then at the sixth through eighth grade level it's called course strength and it's like the fields program uh letting them express themselves teaching them how to express themselves you know when you get frustrated we don't our in-person students get the best of all things and we're looking for person but also those online students

we're looking for it's gonna look i wish i could just buy a banner this is going to look so much different than online learning last year during coven we're really looking at kind of this comprehension any other questions those words i just have to give back um guidelines for next school year that we developed through odp taking input [Music] would be a lot different opening school for next year will be much easier than it was this year uh we've successfully completed our school year obviously so everybody's going to be writing interview reports uh writing grants for next year grant reports uh just really preparing already so if you know we've just ended everybody's really already looking into my next school year as well as we have uh summer school starting on monday elementary and the

middle school there's over a hundred students right now at the elementary school that wants to work with someone on the wait list we're actually uh advertising for another teacher all the teachers that applied for summer school positions hired them so we're hoping we get at least one more so we can take a few kids off the waitlist to accommodate that we have that many kids interested in summer schools but it's exciting at the same time we don't want larger classes here [Music] also been busy negotiating a contract with classified part of that we were looking at so each uh that sits out in front of the high school has been a place we could possibly move our transition center i've kind of come into a little roadblock there and at some point the building has

been titled so uh on our property but it's their building up here at this point we haven't found any agreements per se did have a great conversation with uh vice provost vice president they just gonna be in town next week uh just to talk about how we can work a little more closely together with them last few years they've had a hard time keeping their position uh fully staffed we just haven't done enough i don't think our kids recognize that so we're going to see what where we end up on that one uh i don't know if randy's going to mention this at the end but on july 13th that several emails have gone out and looking to do a board retreat with a new board not just or anything but uh certainly come if

you want it's very exciting but uh july 13th gives a chance to sit down as a board of administrators to talk about uh policies procedures goals aspirations i personally like their facility plans going forward with our strategic plan especially with a new board get refocused uh we still have that potential of getting a maximum amount of four million dollars we're still running for that we just have to uh decide what we want to do so i think that would be one of my high priorities so we have other priorities that want to make sure we discuss in that retreat during our last board meeting we talked about putting together a potential partnership with the county library system yesterday with them there's a grant that they're going out for and we're gonna grant writers we're working

together on i think we're gonna hopefully put something together for the fall so we have that library uh staff during the day and be able to put patrons in there like four to seven at night and we're super excited to make that functional and work and things we're still thinking about to make it work functionally but uh we're hopeful the grant will come through on that one and then of course shannon ribeiro's been working really hard already to get the summer meal program going feeding the kids that are in summer school as well as keeping the community throughout the summer fabulous job with her staff and remember meals each summer is incredible a lot of energy behind that a lot of passion behind that i just wanted to really thank staff members in general for

the hard work and dedication they've had this year obviously this year we've had a high retention rate and most of our staff coming back it's just been so fabulous here with their flexibility and hard work i've heard the school year i've ever seen when it comes to teachers having to be flexible and change and just kind of go with the flow uh a lot of rumblings people just kind of dug in and did whatever it took whether that was wearing masks spacing changing out furniture they just made it happen so i just see staff members around the summer thank them for their efforts a really positive attitude all around and that really helped us make sure that they did not go unnoticed okay thank you [Music] uh donations received from the carbon field renovation committee

slash vhs lights 45.95 you want to read each individual uh making a donation to the corbyn field renovation of bill and patty wilbur ray and mary beth cornell dean of katrina white karen carter mitchell and linda baker cheryl and scott maitland grant and gabe gunderson dale prince bobby vander dawson david debbie hughes rodney and susan robinson carolyn christensen joan henry douglas jenkins and jeff blackburn real estate this is something that uh as a member of the cfrc we started the 185 three years ago and most of these people agreed to contribute 185 a year to meet our portion of the annual payments of those lights of 17 700 something and so far we've always made that payment one made just this last month and uh currently have at least two payments in the bank so

we'll hopefully get that eight-year project completed in about three and a half years okay [Music] next item is flashing beacon agreements this is not in your board package because [Music] the property owner of those lights once insurance policy part of our properties yet we got back from the united but ultimately 18 000 dollar project that has been given a pretty cool deal that they thought of us and reached out to us initially anyway a couple years ago when galaxies got all right do you know roughly what the maintenance fees are for you uh if it's anything like the current one very little software i would imagine this was one in satellite communications instead i think the ones that are currently out there they actually have to go through the site and program yep all [Music]

without having any questions highly [Music] to accept the new hiring as presented budget adoption close budget hearings county school district number three hereby adopts the budget for fiscal year school year 2021 2022 in the amount of 17 million 702 505 the budget is now on file at the district office at 550 north court in burns oregon resolution making approach appropriation be it resolved that the amounts were fiscal year beginning july 1 2021 for the purposes shown below are hereby appropriated general fund support services four million nine hundred and twenty thousand dollars 273 enterprise and community services and facility acquisition both zeros debt service 46 000 transfers 439 988 contingency 97 195 for a total general fund of 11 million 800 dollars revenue funds under instructions two million seven hundred forty nine thousand seven hundred twenty

to have a much problem where we can read them all and build all runs i'm going to read all of these different board organizational business items and we'll have some discussion if there's some more clarification first one appointment of steve quinn as a district clerk chief administrative officer and budget officer appoint steve quick as school district agent dealing with federal and state government appoint cara wilbur with ulster's professional group as business manager authorized facsimile signatures for steve quick and care wilbur from district checks established ability bonds on steve quick in the amount of one hundred thousand dollars designated steve quick and carol wilbur as custodian of the school district funds for harney county school district number three appoint the harney county school district number three board of directors as contract review board designate the bernstein's

herald as the official newspaper for the district appoint pace pace property and casualty coverage for education as a district insurance company and field waldo insurance agencies as the agent of record appoint solutions cpas pc as district auditors designate the local government investment pool bank of eastern oregon oregon first community credit union and wells fargo bank as depositors appoint attorney for the district the humford hungerford law firm that's all of the items under action item 10. questions okay i'm going to approve to approve the district board organizational business items as presented all in favor raise your right hand thank you action item number 11 board policy second read policy cba qualifications and duties of the superintendent highly recommended policy iivga electronic communication systems required policy iivga ar1 electronic communication systems required policy iivga ar2 computer internet

guidelines policy iivga ar3 sample parent letter and use agreements the iivga ar4 staff computer accessibility use policy policy i n d b flag displays and salutes optional policy j g a portfolio punishment optional policy jhca slash jhcb immunization physical examination vision screening eye examination and dental screening option i'll just mention the ones that are whether it's required or optional they're ultimately there there was was there i don't remember for sure was there one where there was a wording question did you yeah from the internet ones we talked about to be cleaned up and it kind of looked like their headphones and stuff taken out but it was really hard to compare them back and forth that's what i was going to ask you to talk about so the ar was talking quite a bit about

those today i looked through them a couple of them kind of surprise me as they are kind of antiquated in their language and so because they're ars you can modify those i think down over the summer before we actually send out sample letters that will use policy make sure it matches what you want so if we make some we'll make some changes on those ars through august so you're aware of what how we're going to implement policy itself i think is called that iii i think it's fairly solid in terms of regulation federal guidance it's just the ars how we apply them i didn't say anything that needed any change i mean it was as far as the policies itself made a change on one of them where it gives you the options the district

the electronic communication system it was within an ar options and it seemed like it was a lot shorter one of the concerns i had about one of those computer ones is how would you enforce this rule talk about proper email etiquette and grammar and everything i didn't notice that when i went back but i think i forgot to open a couple but i didn't that was one email and some of the ideas are really good but some of them are like one of them is backstage students wouldn't use internet based emails so would you guys feel better having a good of a third read or do you feel confident that we can i think you're fine by passing the polish since the ar won't necessarily need a first and second read it'll just be put

on your agenda as information obviously you're aware of what's going on make a motion that we accept the board policies as presented and seconded to accept the board policies as presented hello lincoln building district office you know we've had a lot of a lot we've talked about this for a couple meetings and uh i don't think any of us disagree with the fact that we got to do something as far as this building wade's reported that he does not think he can get the boiler proof of the next certification we were in a meeting the other night meeting in this room and it was jacket and then go down to the next room and have an umbrella and a cool drink so i just like to open it up to the board for dinner discussion

on whether we as a group feel it's time to vacate this building we do have an option that we will talk about as we all pretty much agree that we need to look at vacating this building as soon as possible okay i think it makes a lot of sense to vacate however i want to you know figure out where the new residence will be and how much the cost will be you know how much space is going to be needed how much space is available with the district banking space right now what the cost would be but i i heard probably uh first of all i got several calls in the last couple weeks i don't know where it came from if we were kicking tvcc to heal you out of that building i just

told people that that's not true we didn't discuss that at that time it was one of the options you want to know who owned that building wasn't getting used much but pretty much answered that early on when you said pvcc is going to make a concerted effort to get it staffed and keep it open and that they technically have titles of the building that's just on our property so that's tough yeah it's just like i said with the transition program that was one we had hoped to seem like a perfect building wasn't in the high school that are in the transition program already graduated kind of ideas outside the building kind of separate but and the other option and like say he hasn't really looked at the possibility of moving a different office into the

high school i think it's the only building and steve might talk a little bit about the transition kids being in the same building separated off and still have separate entrance and all that stuff from the needs of those those transition students so the other option is a possible lease agreement in the so-called wagner building furniture building state offices are south end of that building which is closest to reed's country enough office spaces for least rate per month in the 10 year rate all all of those proposals show a 2 annual increase now building itself gives us a great space for board meetings other meetings that we couldn't and sometimes need to happen throughout the year this place where you could print it out to the sheriff's department they need to use it thank you for

indication if groups board reader board they say we could put our own sign up there it has a very professional look but also for our online person uh homereach homeland person create a space within that building as well there's nothing six thousands working able to create a classroom allows her to do that outside of the regulation terms of space and ideal location for us being in the middle of the district on the main drag locations right now is it modern is it existing besides that uh but small things that break within the building doors just keeping this place up here are total expenses in the lincoln building where sixty thousand fishes yeah that doesn't include the annual certification of the boiler and the annual crying of the bar to get ways to go back down

in here the lease agreement is pretty much a very standard business agreement so you look at the cost of the monthly payment how does it pencil out with this building it's very close uh i think the thing that puts me on the top as far as that is after talking to rob herrera is he has a couple of people that would take a look at the building not he's saying they're interested or what it would all depend on the price and he suggested that the building would be listed somewhere in the neighborhood of 850 to 900 000 and we would just have to decide because some people come in and say yeah it's going to cost me 100 grand or update eating depending on what they want to do with it we would have to

decide what are we going to take what i'm looking at with those times from a personal business standpoint if that building if this building sold for a half a million dollars hopefully then at the end of this five year lease purchase that district office building that we put down in our bus farm property and have it have enough time to design that building that modular building expects you to actually need buy it outright and then possibly have a chunk of money for capital expenditures if we need to try to replace the one real thing we're losing here's the game space with the modular secondary type p.m for basketball and foster wrestling type room that's just my personal thoughts but i do know that the owner of that building would like a decision as soon as

possible on whether we're going to lease that so that he can start the interior building out of the offices boardroom deer storage area yes he has things he would have to purchase right away for us to get in there by august thursday any other discussion question my best answer i mean it seems like a decent option you know obviously there's a no location in existing buildings right um you know if we we did do something in the high school say i would imagine there's an instant remodel and stuff that would have to happen there which would be very expensive so i think it's a reasonable option to go with at least a five-year lease on this yeah and there's no you know there's no guarantee that commercial property is going to sell right away uh

but we're on a 10-year lease and one of the local realtors i don't think specific to rob paramore he's just helped us out here listen to everybody but there's no guarantee commercial property will sell right away it might be five years in my opinion at least this gives us so what was the difference between the five years [Music] so i think that there would be a plan in that amount of time on if the other thing was going to come together or not yeah i mean i guess we're looking at building of money is saved into the longer leads but i don't know if that's why is the tyson that wanted we do have plans to build somewhere else or if we pass a bond at some point i think in light of having to

remodel the you know high school um i think this makes sense so i i would make a motion to prove a five year lease uh focus themselves at the earliest possible time as it relates to the new building being ready and to sign a five year lease who owns the entire state office building down there the department of human services were located all those books that's part of that would be okay i have a separate motion highway 20. the address i have right now i don't know which one it is for a five-year term at the rates as specified in the lease agreement you know on august and or september first all those in favor face your right hand sorry about that all fours i guess just to follow up uh maybe get a motion

to list this building [Music] and we can't make a decision out of retreat all right discussions and or new business and that was one of the things i think traditionally we haven't had july meetings but i i had seen a revised statute a while back about special districts i had to have one before the end of july for school boards it just said you had to have one after the lifers the first regular meeting would be after july 1st had organization however i came across one day 255.335 and i think on an election year we need to have uh july unfortunately um 255.335 because on the osda website the question that was asked is do you have to have a july meeting and it said on election years yes inside of this ors so my

question is what do i mean like talking like a national election like presidential election on a school board every two years i guess it was real short anything going to the organizational stuff like the now i think if we need him i could call one any kind of notice and one thing i would i think that as a board we need to talk about the direction we want to see the district take in terms of covert restrictions and i'd like to see it on the agenda for our next regular meeting say i'm going back together how do you want that statement i'd like for us to discuss the direction you would like the district to take in terms of showing restrictions okay our next regular request if it's at the august meeting by that one

we have the new rssl guideline well and i'm not worried about the rssl the guidelines frank and that was one reason why it won't hurt my feelings if you do have to have a july regular meeting get that ironed out hammered out with plenty of time for administrators and schools to plan according but we'll see what you guys think about those ors like i said i had seen it both ways and after some more research today okay uh any other discussion or new business we did have one public comment request that came into little late and you're going to allow her to stand up and introduce herself and speak with melissa albertson and she just wants to talk about school so melissa is yours [Music] i am coming to you as a consent parent i

have children from preschool all the way to high school everything in between let me try what i see happening in our schools is is devastating it's over sexualization followed along with an over-correction of self-identification dashed with just a little bit of a new form of segregation trust me i don't come here lightly these things are very hard for me to talk about however if i don't stand up and say something no wonder my pre-k student brought home a newsletter about aaron's law i'm sure all of you know what this aaron's law is um this special cat class brings in a stranger to our kids and teaches them about teaches our young boys and girls about inappropriate sexual situations and use and what shouldn't be done by adults in white as far as i'm concerned these

things are should be addressed by parents not teachers my job that's my job as a parent to teach my child when things are inappropriate and when they're not not my son's teachers their jobs are reading math writing those kinds of things music in no world should any adult other than a child's parent be addressing any kind of inappropriate situations whether it be bullying sexual or any other thing placing thoughts like these in such young minds i believe is creating more of an open door to little kids doing things like this um leaving all right allowing things like that to come into schools when they should be learning about math and reading and things like that puts puts those things in their mind and then they end up going to school restrooms and doing things that

normally wouldn't have been there in the first book now let's talk about what's being allowed with windows middle school and high school growing up my parents taught me if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all it is a parent's job to sit down with their child or girl to talk about what they want to wear to school what color they want their hair to be how to act who they want to talk to who they're generally trying to grow up and be as adults young adults if a boy wants to come to school wearing a dress trust me his parents have already sat down with him talk to him talk to him about the type of hate he may go through the type of love whatever that's our job as

parents to discuss those things teachers need to be able to just all right this boy is going to dress as a girl put them on this open their desk and just like every other student they don't need special attention just because they walk into a room wearing a special outfit most of the time that's what they're looking for is a reaction if we just stab these kids down and pop them like every other kid most of them would go back to being normal and normalize the wrong word girls have been dressing like boys for centuries and boys have been playing dressed up with their mother's clothes for centuries if we don't acknowledge these things most of the time they'll fade out like every other phase in the child's life the same dress code should be

enforced for everyone whether it's a boy or a girl when i was in school you can wear a tank top to school that was smaller than two fingers and showed your bra straps should be the same whether it's a boy or a girl no shorts shorter than your fingertips you couldn't put your arms down and your shorts weren't longer should be the same for everyone whether it's a boy or a girl no t-shirts clothing was allowed with provocative language sexual intent or anything like that and now in schools a child is not allowed to wear a sweater that says virginity rocks being told that she's promoting sexuality but then another student in the same school is allowed to wear a gay pride sure now let me tell you i don't have a problem with this

i stand before you as gay as can be but what i do have a problem with is that you can't allow one child to wear one thing and then tell another child but they can't be proud of one thing because you're creating more segregation you're creating more haters allowing children to hang flags in schools that scream gay pride is you know whatever that's what you want to be proud of finding dandy but in school we're not here we're not there to learn about gay pride you're not there to project any kind of whatever you're there to learn and if our children are being told they can hang up a gay pride flag in this classroom but they can't hang up and be proud to be straight that's telling their children that they can be proud

of who they are because they're not on the new bus of being gay that's not okay it's not right within this last school year what i've seen being allowed is okay and then being told it's not it's just it should not be allowed it just should not be allowed in schools in general when i was in school you weren't allowed to hold hands you weren't allowed to kiss you weren't allowed to do all these things it didn't matter if you were trying to do it with a boy or a girl or a boy and a girl it just didn't matter you weren't allowed to do it in school so why are we allowing it now the over correction and the fear of telling these new age kids that it's okay to be proud but in

school there's times where you need to just battle it back a little bit give yourself that time but in school schools need to get back to what's important in teaching and stop allowing all these outside things to come into schools and i really feel that the lines between parents and teachers are being learned too much too much is being put on our teachers too much is being expected from them from all of you and and i just feel like if you just stopped allowing all of it into the schools don't allow the straight kids to scream about being straight don't allow the gay kids to scream about being gay just keep it out of the schools keep it at home i agree that kids shouldn't be wearing virginity this virginity that and sexist i do

agree with that but i agree that none of them should be allowed to bring not just certain ones thank you very much okay this time we will adjourn this earth recess this meeting recess this meeting and yes there will be a regular july meeting but there'll be a retreat that is open to the public too that'll be yeah thanks [Music] yeah that's probably easy
