Hello. This video is a brief tutorial showing you how you can use Apple's new windowed app feature. To see if that's turned on on your iPad, go to settings and then look down along the lefth hand side for multitasking and gestures. Within that multitasking and gestures, you should have a full screen apps option or a Windows apps option or the stage manager. What we're focusing on in this video is the windowed apps option. This uh was a feature that was introduced, I believe, in iOS 26. So, if you have that on uh these that's what I'll be demonstrating now. So, one of the new additions that comes along with Windows apps is this nub in the bottom right corner. This knob allows you to use your finger to resize windows. So, you can resize the
app to about like maybe a cell phone size or something like that. Little taller, a little smaller. Now, it won't let me go any smaller than that because that's um sort of with the graphics that's the smallest. It'll let that particular application fit on my screen. I can also now grab the top of the application and move it around on my screen to my desired location. Select another app. Let's choose Safari. That opened full screen again. I can grab my nub in the bottom. Access some of these extra views. You'll access them through these three colored dots on your application. So here there's a red, yellow, and green dot over here. They're black, but if I select that application, they light up with the different colors. If you tap on those three dots, they enlarge
a little bit. And you can see a little bit they do. The red is an X that closes the application. Yellow will minimize it. and green will make it full screen again. So, if I tap and then I tap the green button, I'm now back and Safari is full screen. And if I choose, I can resize it and reposition it again. Let me tap again. This time, I'm going to hold down for a few seconds on the green button. This will open up some additional menu options. So, you can see in the top row there, I can move this to the left. I could move it to the right, the top, or the bottom. Here, we'll choose the bottom. And you can see how it repositions those. Again, I'm doing a long press on the
green button and then making my decisions. If you want this uh also I can choose under fill and arrange. I can fill the screen again. That was the option on the left. Or I can choose options such as the second one over which is um the side by side view. You'll notice this gives me the option to go left or right and make one smaller and one larger. I can tap again, long press on green, and I can choose three applications. Now I can bring another application up. Notice I just swiped up from the bottom and it sort of spread my two applications, one to one side, one to the other. And now I can choose another application and open it. Let's select uh whatever. Let's just choose the notes app. Okay. So now I
can again I can tap use the knob at the bottom to resize. Tap hold the green button and choose the three display. And I now have all three. And you have some variation with sizing. Swiping up from the bottom again spreads them to the side. And I can tap them and bring them back. If I want to make this fill the whole screen, again, just tapping green fills the whole screen. So, um, this is the, uh, new Apple's windowed appear feature. Um, hopefully this helps you understand a little bit how you
