Thank you guys and thanks for being with us this close to the end of the school year. My name is Torck with domestic violence domestic violence services of Southwestern Pennsylvania or DVSSP. Each year in February, we host a team dating violence awareness month contest to help raise awareness for this issue that faces a lot more teens than people think. About 60% of teens experience some form of team dating violence, whether that be emotional, physical, or digital. By doing this contest, we're allowing students to be able to reach their peers in ways that us as adults just can't. It comes it means a lot more coming
002from students. I'm proud to announce that even though this uh contest spans three counties, all three of our videos this year came from car Michaels. Our third place video was created by Maria McLary, Lia Mansury, and Briley Smith. Our second place video was created by PH Mitchell, Milana Heart, M Simmons and Sydney Miller. And our first place video was created by Alex, and Eli Hastings. If any of those students are here and you want to come meet me up front, I have your cash prize as well as your certificates for you. 003in late, you don't leave early. You're here every minute, every day. And this year we have two others that have earned that title. They are Josely Carter and Nick Zang. And now Mr. Thank you. Thank you. I'm going to give out two awards. The first one uh is the junior ELA student of the year award. This award goes to a student whose effort and character spoke for themselves all year long. She consistently produced thoughtful well work that was truly her own. Through her originality and commitment to doing things the right way, she has earned this year's ELA1 student of the year award. Congratulations to Taylor J and sophomore ELA student of the year goes to a student who always found a way to make her work stand out. Through creativity, effort and a willingness to
004go above and beyond, she consistently turned her assignments into something noteworthy and memorable. Congratulations to Anna Hatick. And we will now have Mr. Come up to the stage. Okay. this year's graphic student of the year uh sort of student who stepped up when I really needed her we lost our editor for unforen circumstances and I think she learned a Jana st in language composition 11 a part of held through discussions I had one student this year who always participated in discussion she's open-minded creative responsible and respectful her way of analyzing and thinking outside the box will benefit her in years to come. This year the AP language composition award goes to Paxton Wade and now Mrs. Um, this award goes to the freshman who showed so much artistic talent, MW and the sophomore Elizabeth. These

Actually, you should all get in the word for just being here today. I know it's hard coming on a half it was raining. So congratulations to all of you for being here and knowing us with your smiles. So today I'm here for Mercal Mikes. Uh we are proud to honor four outstanding high school students from the Mercal Mikes Christian Club. Now these students have shown us what true leadership looks like not only through their words but through their actions. They have lived with humility, served with compassion and lived out their faith in ways that have encouraged others to grow stronger in
006Christ. Their example has made a real difference in this club, in this school and in the lives of those around them. We celebrate them today for their character, their courage and their commitment to being a for others. It is with great honor that I present these Christian leadership awards to Isaiah Curry, Austin Philips, Coren A and Cameron Fight. Now, not to get but I'm going to get a little corny. That's how I am. So I made your certificates and lamin I have something else for you and did that well but for each of you and not to like give away what this is but when I was in the arm I couldn't carry a Bible with me all the time can you guys hear me um so when I was in the arm I couldn't
007carry a Bible with me all the It was too heavy in those cargo pockets. But I could carry around one scripture card that was with me all the time. I can do all things to Jesus Christ who strengthens me. That was huge because basic training was crazy hard and I'm crazy little. So what I give to each of you whether you keep it for yourself or pass on to others are little scripture cards. Um so I hope that it means something to you but I know if you can memorize a verse but even more so keep it in your heart it has so much more meeting and I'm so proud of each of you. I mean this has been hard here with the clubs. You guys are stuck with it. You brought more people in.
008I just appreciate all of you and so glad you're not graduating yet and you'll be with us again next year. So congratulations guys. Thank you. And next is Mr. Willis. Our students are fortunate to have college in the high school classes and all the students work very hard they challenge themselves. one student stood out among the others for our Carlo chemistry award and that is conratulation we also like to recognize our environ teams um placing first and second in the green county envirathon and then the first team going on to place third in the state of Pennsylvania are car isur jer we recogn team captain last and then team three who plays second place rhythm bm conor makel jason l mario the students can join me in the Congratulations to the winners that are here
