001[music] >> Good morning, Mike's Nation. I'm Abby Ray. And I'm Hunter Kerr. Today is Friday, January 9th. Let's start with the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Let's talk lunch because Fridays deserve something solid. On Tuesday's menu, fish sandwich on a whole grain bun. Crunchy, classic, very Friday cafeteria core. Now, it's time to toss it over to Maddie Simons for your weekend weather forecast. >> [music] >> Good morning, Mike's Nation. Let's take a look at your weekend weather forecast. Friday will be mostly cloudy and breezy with spotty light rain or drizzle possible at times. It'll feel fairly mild for this time of year with afternoon highs in

002the mid-60s. Winds will occasionally gust and temperatures fall back into the mid-40s Friday night. Saturday stays mostly cloudy and warm with a chance of a passing shower or two. Highs will reach the low 60s and it'll cool down to around the low 30s overnight. Sunday turns much colder as a stronger system moves in. Expect cloudy skies with a couple of snow showers and breezy conditions in the afternoon. Highs will only top out near the upper 30s with overnight lows around 26. That's all for your weekend weather. Back to you in the studio. Thanks, Maddie. Thinking snow, slopes, and skidding down gracefully down a mountain? We're currently exploring the possibility of restarting ski club. Check your email for their Google survey and respond no later than today, Friday, January 9th, if you're interested in joining. Attention

003seniors heading on the senior trip. Please send Ms. Anderson your parental email address along with copies of your real ID and birth certificate as soon as possible. This information is important for travel planning. Don't put it off. And now for today's video spot. Before break, we asked Mike's Nation about their New Year's resolutions. We got the goals, the plans, and maybe a few All-Star Monday moments. Here's what you had to say. Roll what? What is your New Year's resolution? Well, I've made one for all of my 45 years, or at least since I could remember. Um To have more wins in basketball than football. Drink more water. But I think this year is definitely going to be my year. Now, it wasn't 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021. >> Be at a 500. >> 2020, 2019,

00418, 17. I could go all the way back, but this year, this year, I'm sure is going to be my year. Golf every day. All right, I'm going to rise like a phoenix from the ashes. I think my New Year's resolution is going to be not to procrastinate, to try to stay more organized. Me and Ryder Craig hit 10K hours on Fortnite. I would like to incorporate more self-care. And I will become Prime Galino again. That's my New Year's resolution. What is your New Year's resolution? Oh, man. I have such a great head of hair. I was going to work on that, but I I I don't know. I think I'm just going to like try to be a male model again, you know? That's all for today, Mike's Nation. January fun fact. January is

005the only month named after a Roman god, and he's the god of doors. Basically, January is the door to the rest of the year. Have a great Friday. Stay warm this weekend, and we'll see you back here Tuesday. >> [music] [music]
