ument to bring back the MRS degree. If you're going to college to find your life partner, that's a really good reason to go to college. Furthermore, I do not believe that this club is appropriate or safe in today's political climate. This club will encourage dangerous rhetoric as the original organization has also done, which will only further divide our student body and community. I question why Bowmont administration and the district at large would permit such a chapter to exist within our school community. Thank you. Thank you. And next we have Sophia de la Riiona. Sorry if I said that wrong. Okay. Hi, my name is Sophia and I wanted to add on to what Hayden saying. First, I want to start off by saying that I'm a strong believer in everyone being entitled to their own

opinions. Um, however, I don't think that a school club should be promoting exclusion or making other students feel unsafe. Um, Turning Point USA is an organization that has targeted many minority groups in which promotes division. Allowing this club onto our campus is going to cause huge division and tension throughout our school. It involves very wide political ideologies that include abortions, immigration, gender, and sexuality. We I think one of my favorite things about our school is how diverse it is. Um so I think it's extremely concerning that this type of club is being displayed on campus. Schools are supposed to be places where students feel safe. And ultimately I hope you take the time out of your day to look into what the club stands for and how that reflects onto our school. Thank you. Item

I went to the next page and they were listed again. So, I got want to make sure I I called all of them. Okay, we're good. And motion carries. Um, all right. Item number 9.0. We do have several re um items to report out of close session on agenda items 5.2, 5.3, and 5.7. And so I'll turn it over to our clerk, Dr. Lansen Sylvester. Good evening everyone.

Item number 9.3, receive a report from super the superintendent and review the district calendar for the months of November and December 2025. Good evening everyone. We'll start with our celebration of student of

the month at Sizzlers and Banning. We highlighted from Bowman High School, Adrienne Wilson, and from Glen View High School, Elizabeth Rodriguez Baron. As always, these events have been so rewarding and we're always learning a lot about our student resilience, and it's just amazing how they're progressing and will, you know, enter this world in a much stronger way after they leave our high school. And as Petra mentioned, we have graduated our class of 38, class 38 from the um LVM program and there was 25 graduates. I know that Mr. Sun Martin and Mrs. Castillo represented cabinet and the board on um at that event. The city of Bulmont actually had a a grounds breaking for a new shopping center that's going to be on Oak Valley. This shopping center will bring Target and Sprout, which is

exciting. You know, some of you know it as Darj. Um, Bulmont High School uh band provided the music. Mrs. Lara and Dr. Sylvester represented the board at that groundsbreaking and Mrs. Castillo and I were in attendance also. Veterans Day. There's always um a great parade at our city for Veterans Day that honors all of our veterans. And so we're so proud to um have some of our employees that are that have served and we've asked for their permission to share some pictures. So that's we've um we've received from 14 district staff members. uh our vice president of the board participated in the parade and rode with Mr. Lara our mayor and um our air force JOTC students presented the colors at the ceremony of course the amazing shake we have to continue to highlight it

in every report u Mrs. Laura participated as a judge. So, we took the silliest picture and wanted to share it. So, um it's amazing really to see the finale. I was able to just be there for the finale. It takes a lot of work to get to that level, but these students were impressive. They um they they again they're going to represent us well. they will compete at the district level um in January and from that point the winners will go on to I think compete in Atlanta as the next step. So um we're looking forward to sending few of our uh students to Atlanta because they did they did very well. And then at this point I'd like to turn it to our director of student services Dr. Bernett to introduce our newest SRO

to our district. And we're so happy um to welcome Officer McCarth, right? I included pictures just in case they didn't show up. You know, they're on call all the time. Just kidding. Superintendent Kish, our board community cabinet. Um I'm honored to welcome Officer McGrath. Um, Officer McGrath has served as a police officer for 10 years. He started his career in 2015 when he joined the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. He worked in the inmate reception center prior to transitioning to patrol in Carson, California. In 2019, Officer McGrath lateralled to the Upland Police Department, where he served as a patrol officer and field training officer. In 2022, Officer McGrath moved to Bumont PD where he served as a patrol officer, motor officer, and field training officer officer before his current assignment as our school resource officer

serving Sanangreono Middle School as well as all as well as our alternative education programs. Officer McGrath has two children that currently are enrolled in our Bowmont Unified School District. Alexander, who's in 9th grade, and William, who's uh in 8th grade. His wife Jazelle McGrath is also an employee of the Bumont Unified School District and currently is working as a student support spe specialist for Mountain View Middle School. I'd like to welcome Officer McGrath to Bumont Unified School District. As you heard, I just uh got assigned here about 3 weeks ago. I'm looking forward to the challenges. I've heard some diverse challenges that are coming my way. I'm looking forward to implementing some of the knowledge and skills I've gained in the past 10 years and hopefully I can be a seamless integration to your teams

and I'll see you guys around most of the time. Welcome aboard. Thank you so much for being here. Thank you. We appreciate you. Um there's a change with the sergeant that oversees the officers at the city level also. So that will be officer uh I mean sergeant Brunstro and this is his picture. He was supposed to be here today but I think he couldn't make it. Yeah, he wasn't able to make it. He's um taking the place of Lieutenant Lent. Yes. Yeah. As for the calendar updates, um on November 19th, we'll have an LCAP advisory committee meeting. November 24th to the 26th, we'll have fall uh fall scholars on vacation at Palm Innovation Academy. and November uh 24th to the 28th is Thanksgiving break, but the district will only be closed on the 27th and

the 28th. As far as December, we have the next uh student of the month celebration on December 2nd. December 4th through the 7th and 11th through the 14th, we will have Shrek the musical. So, I'm not sure if you guys received some invitations to uh be in attendance. It's going to be amazing. We're looking forward for that. And then December 9th, we will have our next uh organizational meeting, which is the annual organizational board meeting. December 22nd through January 1st will be the winter break. The district office will be closed December 23rd through the 25th, the 31st, and the 1st. And that's it for the report. Madame President, thank you. Item number 10.0 is consent agenda. Actions prepared for consent consent agenda items are consistent with adopted and approved policies of the district and are

deemed routine in nature. They will be acted upon in one motion without discussion unless any member of the board of trustees requests that an item be removed from the consent agenda. In that event, it will be taken up in the order indicated on the on the main agenda. Are there any uh the board members that would request an item to be removed? Um okay. So, Vice President uh Mr. Brown has asked to pull the contract with technology group DI um which is the contract number 2025-26-D193 from item number 10.8 eight um of the consent contract contractual agreements um to be brought back at the next meeting. He has some questions about that and he wasn't able to attend tonight and so um so he's actually submitting the request for you to pull it. I'm I'm

requesting to pull it. Yeah. But I'm just letting everybody know it was Yeah. He he talked to me about it. So, so we need to then we need to go 10.2 to 10.7. Well, can we do a motion to approve 10.1 to 10.8 with the exception of the forementioned contract on the consensual uh that's a that would be my recommendation, but we can do do it however you guys want. Would it be more proper to pull the item out of the Do you want to pull 10.8? Yeah. And then Yeah, sure. Okay. So, we'll we'll pull item 10.8 and now it'll be 11.1. And so, we would actually need a motion to approve items 10.1 to 10.7. I'll move 10.2 through 10.7. Tim. Right. Thank you, David. 10.2 to 10.7. And that was moved by

David, seconded by Susie. And we will call for a vote. Is he pulling the actual Chromebooks one or the other? It's um the repair. Okay. Mhm. I'm I'm seeing it, but I keep pressing green and it's not I'll just refresh it. So, I'll have to Oh, did it? Okay. Well, now I have to log back in. Impatient, I guess. Okay. Motion carries. Now, I have to get back into the meeting. Okay. Yes. And so for clarification, there were two contracts on the consent contractual agreements from um DI technology group and it was the um it was the contract 2025-26-D193 which was for the Chromebook repair. 75,000 75,000. So now we'll move on to 11.1. And do we have a motion to make a I guess an amended approval of those? I move we approve it

contracts. I'll second removal of contract. Moved by Susie, seconded by David. Call for vote. All right. And thank you. Motion carries. 12.0 is special legal and discussion items. 12.1 established Tuesday, December 9th, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. as the date and time to hold the annual organization meeting. Second. Moved by David, seconded by Lambs. Any discussion? Call for a vote. And motion carries. 13.0 is human resources. 13.1 approve the certificated personnel assignment order listed on the report dated November 18th, 2025. Do we have a motion? Move. Second. Moved by Susie, seconded by David. Any discussion? Call for a vote. Motion carries. 13.2. Approve the classified personnel assignment order listed on the report dated November 18th, 2025. Do we have a motion? So moved. Second. Moved by Susie, seconded by David. Any discussion? Call for a vote.

And motion carries. It's not up on the screen, but it did did pass, I promise. All right, there we go. 14.0, Business Services. Item number 14.1 is anformational item and that is to receive the annual SB 165 compliance reports as listed in the summary. Is there anything to present Sergio? Madame President, there is no report on this item. Okay. Thank you. Any discussion from any of the board members? Okay. 14.2 Two, adopt resolution 2025-26-15 approving the annual and 5-year reportable fees report for fiscal year 2025 in compliance with the government code section 660 and 660001 in order to collect and use schools facility funds. You have a motion, madam president. Oh uh for this spec specific item there is no report. However, this is a routine annual report that we bring to the board every

year before the close of December. This is uh an expenditure report that shows uh how many how much the district has been collected for the prior year. This is for the 2425 fiscal year of developer statutory fees. How the district collected the amounts and how they would have been expended and then future remaining funds how that those funds could be expended in future years. Now there there is a correction uh if if I may and we can replace the the existing resolution with an updated resolution on this item please. Yes, no problem. And for clarification um did you get clarification on under section B if the interest was accurate? Remember what we were talking about that? Yes. So we did clarify that um the county has a process uh where they recalculate the fair market

value and recalculate the interest overall and if there's any additional dollars they also uh deposit it proportionately for districts. So it does make that number look higher u but it is an accurate number as verified. Good. Well that's good news. Any other Well, I'll call for a motion. I'll move to approve. Second. Moved by Susie, seconded by Lance. Any more discussion on this? So, the only thing that was changed on here was the date some of the dates. Correct. Yeah. Okay. That's all just that's fine. Yes. The res the the updated resolution includes the updated dates. Thank you. All right. So, we'll call for a vote for the amended motion. And motion carries. Okay. I feel like I missed something, but I didn't. 15.0. Uh, do we have anybody from CSA here tonight? Okay. Yes.

And um BTA does not have a report. So does um back me back me. No report. All right. Moving and grooving. Uh 15.4. Mr. Jeff Brown is not in attendance tonight. So 15.5 Susie Laura. Yes. I just um as you saw earlier the pictures amazing shake. I uh was able to judge final round at Starlight Elementary. Great great job with our fifth graders there. Um, one of the questions that was asked at the middle school, uh, in the second to last round was, um, what is a legacy and what does that mean to you and what does it look like? And after it was all over, the perfect example of what a legacy is in this particular case is uh, Lauren Heisen, our um, assistant principal at Sangonia Middle School who started this whole program.

And um I just I can't say enough about all the effort that she puts into this every single year and um it's been seven years now and it's been so wellreceived by the community and it's been so supported and so um I just really just want to give her a special thank you so much for her hard work and she puts so much time and so much of effort into this and I don't think people realize um just how much time is involved and so Um, I just I can't thank her enough. So, uh, because of her, it has grown to our elementary schools and to our other two middle schools and now we have a district level and hopefully we're going to go to a regional level in San Bernardino. So, I'm just really

excited about this and, um, kudos to her completely. So, and with that, um, happy Thanksgiving. Be thankful for our families and our our good health and and all those good things. So, thank you and have a good Thanksgiving. Thank you. All right. Thank you. Uh 15.6. Receive a report from board member Dr. Lansen Sylvester. Uh no, no report. Just want to say happy Thanksgiving as well to everyone and uh I'm thankful to still be here. That's it. We're thankful that you're still here. Yes, we are. 15.7 receive a report from board member David Sanchez. Same here. not there wasn't really a report for me tonight. Um I just wanted to make one comment on the students that spoke. I'm glad they came to the podium. Um this puts us in a an interesting uh situation

with with clubs on schools and it's it's it's historical. Um but as long as the process is followed it the it weeds itself out. Um if I remember correctly we have an adviser. The adviser then helps develop a constitution. Constitution should have a membership minimum. Usually the membership is the students and then of course they have to adopt a non-discrimination clause and then you go to approval and it's the approval is usually from the ASB student government and the ASB student government is the people that the student body elects to rep represent them. So um they get to have a taste of what our democracy and our republic is like. Uh if they do not like the outcome of their ASB student government when elections come up you you you switch it out just like

we see school boards uh membership on the school board has changed for over the years. So again there is a process and I hope uh that process is is followed so that there isn't any biased on anyone's point or purpose. But with that thank you on everyone please have a very restful Thanksgiving because the next pretty much the month of December and what's left of November is is a blur. Thank you Madam President. All right. Thank you again. Happy Thanksgiving. But u also just to add on to that, you know, when I think when I the holidays are such a good time to reflect and when I think about what I'm thankful for, all of you are among among um the people in my life that I'm genuinely thankful for, grateful to be here. Um,

you know, I never I think I've said this before, but I I never imagined that I would love doing this as much as I do and getting to know all of you and and the all the positive things that go on in this district and the things that we overcome and the way that we come together. And so I'm very thankful for all of you. Um, looking forward to um CSBA, the California School Board Association have has a conference uh the first week of December every year. Um David and I serve on the delegate assembly and so we'll be we'll be there all week and then our other board members some um some of them will join us and so we're looking forward to that. We always have something to gain by going there and

learning more about how we can do our jobs better. And then again, thank you to all of the veterans. Um I know Veterans Day has passed, but it's nice to say it publicly. And so with that, um, we do not, we're not returning to close session this evening. And so, um, do we have a motion to adjourn? So moved. Second. Moved by Susie, seconded by David. And we'll now adjourn this meeting. Oh, we'll vote first. Let's jumping right into it. And motion carries. I'm sure everybody's thankful we we ended at 6:45. So meeting adjourned at 6:45. He has so many left.
