flag. >> All right. >> To the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> All right. Um the board president's report, we will be um approving the board minutes for October 14th and October 21st, 2025. Um do we have any Parkway West information for this week? >> Um no, I'll make a note next week, please. >> Thank you. Any shaz information? Uh, unfortunately not at this time. Mr. President, >> PSBA PSBA put out a um they wanted us to to to sign a resolution for getting urging the uh general assembly to pass the budget. >> Oh, did they find that out today? >> Um, a couple days ago. It might have been today again, but it
was at least I think last week. But um I I mean it can't hurt to be calling your legislators. Um see if we can yeah at least put some pressure. But um yeah, I mean if anyone has an interest in in doing the resolution. I give this to Tammy. She can have a copy. She can look at it and then decide if she wants to try to put it on the agenda for next week. >> Let's hope it's resolved. >> That would be nice. So, so I received a message this afternoon about 3:00. The uh both legis both both sides of the legislature have been called to Harrisburg. They think they may have an agreement. So, they've been both been called. So, I'm assuming being called I guess I don't know what their reg regulations
say as far as how many how long they get there, but I would think within the next day or two they're probably going to be taking a bus, my guess. But they were they were they were called the Harrisburg. Well, that would be good. They're doing other things. Yes. You know, information about other other bills that are being presented and passed. And [clears throat and laughter] >> keep our fingers Let's keep our fingers crossed. >> Thank you. Um, any news from the burrows? Congratulations to our new and continuing school board member and >> Halloween was kind of wasn't think three kids. >> Three kids should have brought that candy in here. >> Maybe because of the they don't they have a trunk or treat thing now? Is that like taking off? They have all over
the place. >> Communities have it. >> There was also a playoff game that was out of town. I think a lot of the families went >> I don't know what it was. >> Terrible. >> A whopping 16. >> I had zero. [laughter] >> You had zero. >> We had a good cleanup crew of middle school to high schoolers who just wiped us out at my request. >> Okay. Continue sending those at the end of trickor treat. Trick or treat. Um and then we did have executive session for student and personnel matters. >> Yeah. >> All right. And that takes us to the superintendent report. Dr. Strappy. >> Thank you, Mrs. William. Uh for next week, there's just one item. Uh we we got the agreement from truckers project. So that's all for the report. >>
Thank you. Next is um Mrs. Shaw with the policy expert. Yeah, these are all second reading policies. So for this time right here um me with the education report we will be um approving theou between the AIU head start and district um for the every for title one. You have to do that every year. >> Okay. >> Are we still doing that? I thought that was >> Yeah, that's still what it's called. So, yeah. Yeah, that's that's what the agreement brought. >> Oh, no. >> They had some money there. >> Nothing [laughter] for some time. >> All right. Um and then Miss Snyder is not here. Uh, so the communications report, uh, we will be voting, um, to approve Claudia Metcaf as freelance photographer for $150 per event. >> Is that an adult or a
student? >> She's an adult. >> She was the aunt of a lot of the kids that went through the school and she is a fantastic photographer. No, I just wanted to clarify that it wasn't like a current student because usually those services are kind of >> Yeah. >> And it looks like selected by our communication >> director. Okay. >> And people Dr. >> Yeah, it's that time of year. Items one and two. uh we just have to that's for the renewal of those two services we use. One is for uh Tela the other was translating documents uh using various portals and stuff for non-English-speaking parents and families. Uh as I said the first one is for telephone voice interpretation. The second one is for document interpretation. It's just that time of year to um u
renew to those. Uh there's no change in price by the way on the pricing stay the same. The third item >> yes the third one is uh just for a student student agreement with the district with uh between the district and west family services for a student. Uh the fourth item um is the company that we uh that is providing a virtual home bond instruction uh currently right now for uh free students and that and this is just a renewal of that. We've been doing that for a while. So that's just a a renewal. And then the um last one is an agreement memorandum understand between the burrow of Dormmont and the district. And that is for just a site reunification in the event that we would have to um um move students, evacuate students
out of the building. Where do we think we had one before and this is the second one for a different site. So yeah, that's all that is. So we have those agreements on file with the place that our kids would go which would become the reunification place in the event that we would have to um you know evacuate one elementary >> which is a safety issue which remains confident. >> That's why it stays that way. That's correct. Yeah. So and um I think that's all. >> Thank you doctor. >> You're welcome. Uh the personnel report, we have one resignation. Um some appointments, a pair of professional, custodian, and then activity sponsors. These are add-ons from last month, correct? >> Uh Project Succeed instructors and after school tutoring program next year, not this year. >> That's
right. That's for this year. We're adding them. >> No, we didn't approve them yet. >> Oh, okay. >> They haven't been approved. >> Okay. >> Am I correct? >> Correct. >> Yeah, they haven't been approved. Okay. >> Um tenure and some family and medical leave. What? One family medical leave. And that takes us to the finance report. Mr. No, >> thank you. So there there will be approval for the accounts payable list for the month's over. And the uh second item will be continue membership into the joint purchasing board. And this will be uh a continuation of membership in the AIU joint purchasing program for 26 27 school year for electricity gas natural gas and copier paper with with Joe being the um joint purchasing program. member uh with the assistant to the superintendent for
operation. Jesse, we had the ultimate looks like the tables are a little bit light. Is that um because we just had a light month or are we holding any payments back because of not receiving them? >> Um it was just a light month. However, um I can say I am not I'm holding back um charter school payments right now um until we meet our state budget. So on top of Marsha, we're going to hold off on those until the state budget. So >> thank you. >> And that concludes the report. That's fast. >> And um no public comment. So anybody want to get out of here? [laughter] >> Wow. >> Forget about the building. >> There's a lot to talk about. Um we'll be talking about the line, the remodeling schedule, things of that nature.
So, if you can't come, please come up. Um, it's update one for us on Thursday. So, I'll >> be here. >> Will we be on Zoom? >> Yes, we can be. Yeah, needed. >> You're going to zoom in or you going to be here? >> I'm about to be here. >> Oh, okay. >> He's just saying if anyone >> Yeah, we'll zoom in. Yeah, that's not a problem at all. >> Moreno already sent the link. >> Yeah, it's on to zoom in and not come. He's >> bringing the food. All right. I did get a second, right? All in favor? I >> no >> we are
