thank you everyone for joining us this evening um we are going to have some student proclamations this evening but before we do that i would like to start with a proclamation of our own for the board here to our superintendent who is retiring after a 40-year career in education and 12 years here in north penn school district so um last night we were able to have a celebration and i just want to say that it was a really heartwarming event it was so nice to see all the people there to celebrate your legacy the former administrators put on a hilarious skit which i hope is going to be on video mr gilmer i don't know where you're at but i hope you have that video for everyone to see um it was really nice to

see everybody on the video congratulate you including your family members your grandchildren and especially your mom yeah it was very nice so um and it was also nice to see the car tour from last was it last week or two weeks ago that you took and got to go to every building in the district on the car tour and all the students and staff were outside cheering and um it just went to show how loved and respected you are in our district and how much you'll be missed and i just want to say it was a pleasure working with you we're going to miss you but on behalf of the board we congratulate you on your successful 40-year career in education and we wish you all the best in your retirement so and we present

thank you tina thank you for those kind words thank you those in the audience and you know since i announced my retirement i've just been overwhelmed with the number of people from our community have reached out to say thank you and express their appreciation and their gratitude it's been a great run i've enjoyed virtually every minute of it uh there were some moments here and there that were a bit challenging but we found a way to work our way through all of those and as tina said uh it all started uh more than 40 years ago as a as a school board member myself and then in 2006 i came here as assistant superintendent and then in 2010 named superintendent so it's been a great run i appreciate all the support i've enjoyed over the

years and i say thank you thank you to everyone best wishes to all thank you okay so um okay next up will be the student proclamations and we are going to start off tonight with the odyssey of the mind and i believe it's mrs joanne wernetz and um mrs dougal that will be making the presentation good evening members of the school board cabinet members and dr dietrich i am proud to be here tonight as district coordinator of north penn's odyssey of mine program to acknowledge our students achievements in odyssey the mind competitions to prepare for the competition students work together in teams of five to seven to solve a detailed problem odyssey of the mind problem solutions are presented in an eight-minute skit which is performance based and might include technical elements balsa wood structures

team created vehicles and dramatic flair creativity of costuming and props is encouraged humor is essential each team performs their skit at a regional tournament and based upon scores can advance to state and world finals over the years north penn has enjoyed increasing success earning a number of medals and distinguished awards north penn teams have advanced to world finals every year since 2010. this season about 120 students from 14 north penn schools participated in odyssey of the mind these students formed 19 teams each of the 19 teams was coached by one or two adult volunteers and supported by parents that went above and beyond to contribute to this team's success of these 19 teams eight qualified for the state competition tonight you will meet students from a montgomery elementary school vehicle team that placed first at

the regional competition and then went on to place first at states you might be surprised to hear that this was the team's first year together and only one team member had participated in om before this year this team was challenged to create moving vehicles that perform specific tasks like true champions they overcame obstacles and work together to achieve their goals their success led them to ames iowa where they competed in the world finals against teams from the usa poland korea and china their experience was fun exciting and educational on behalf of these students and their families i thank you for your continued support of the north of north penn odyssey of the mind a program that offers a challenging and fun learning opportunity to the students of the north penn school district i now present

to you the coach of the montgomery elementary school odyssey the mind vehicle team ruchi de gaal good evening everyone i would start by introducing myself i'm ruchi the coach of these incredible seven boys of montgomery elementary odyssey of the mind team who persevered through the regionals states and made their mark all the way toward finals over the eight months of their journey they worked hard overcoming the obstacles of being totally new to the program facing the challenges that pandemic brought figuring out things that they had never done before all on their own and learned all this time to have fun and learn to do their best to be their best not to mention they are a great team because they chose to believe in themselves and in each other we as parents and as coaches

we have been witness to their awesome odyssey of growing into their best versions and what a joy it has been the collective effort of parents and co and these kids are the reason we are here i want to say a special thank you to the north penn school board to everyone to to joanne especially who was a rock star and a guide to us and without whom we wouldn't be here i thank all and montgomery elementary school especially for being a rock and northwind community for cheering these boys always and being there for us i would now like to present to you montgomery elementary school odyssey of the mind team i'll start with the first arab google sean carr dylan carr directly benjamin chaplin justin miller and arjun thank you all right let's give one

more hand to the odyssey of your mind i have to say i have a little experience with odyssey of mine my son participated in it prior to the pandemic and it requires students to be multi-talented resourceful artistic skills theater skills math skills engineering skills theater skills it's very impressive very impressive so congratulations all right we're going to move on to the unified bocce team very exciting and the coach sue a heart is going to come down and talk about their accomplishments hi there good evening thank you for giving me this opportunity to brag about my team i've got a few words so just settle in i'll explain a little bit about unified bocce because i think um a lot of people don't know what unified sports are because they didn't exist back when we were

kids but unified sports are where were created by special olympics and it's where we have students with disabilities compete along with students without so they compete together on an equal playing field it's a ton of fun krista padanski started unified bocce back in 2017. she built that program from the ground up she put a lot of blood sweat and tears into it and she always had the mindset that any student who wanted to come out and play would be she would make room for them on the team kristin stepped down and carrie burns and i picked up the team this year unfortunately carrie wasn't able to be here tonight but i would not have been able to run bocce this year without her so i needed to make sure she got a sound out so

we do have a very large team compared to other teams in um in our area most most other schools have a team of eight or 16 students our team has 38 but you know in typical north penn fashion we go big so we were able to run two varsity teams and a jv a large jv squad as well our jv team did had fewer opportunities for competition because they didn't have any other teams in the area to compete against but they still showed up at practices over and over again and gave our varsity teams a run for their money on a regular basis um they we have many very strong players on our jv squad and um i'm looking forward to what may shape up come next year um our we had two varsity teams

team columbia which consisted of six juniors and two post-12 students these are a highly competitive group of students who hit their stride a bit later in the season they went and entered into our district playoffs with three wins and three losses they receded fifth out of eight teams in our division but despite being underdogs they really hit their stride there in our playoff competition and after winning their first round they hit our team navy in their second round of playoffs where they beat team navy and moved on to our state competition they hit some heavy competition in states but continued to rally they lost one big game to the team that ultimately ended up taking the state competition so i'm very proud of that group of students and i'm very thrilled to have six of

those eight students back for this year team navy consisted of all seniors and post-12 students they were very strong group of athletes with a very high bocce skill you don't want to meet them out on a you know out of fisher park they'll they'll take you down for sure so they went into playoffs with five wins and two losses they were seated second going into playoffs but as i said were knocked out by team columbia the underdogs they overall we had a really fabulous bocce season which was only happened because of the support of of many within our community and i will take a moment to recognize our administration both district level and here in the building supported this program in in it being able to run in all aspects they supported me in trying

to figure out and work through the details of how to put things together and showed up for our meets and for our staff and student competition um linda law and patty sell two secretaries here at north penn high school i don't think i could have made it through the season without them anytime i hit some sort of logistic that i was not able to figure out they were my go-to's to help me to work out those problems don walsh our athletic director was critical in helping me to work out our competitions and to help me find gym space he made sure that we had gym space to practice during the very busy winter sports season i had the support of the faculty and staff here at north penn high school who encouraged our students to

get involved many of them worked our meet and participated in our student and staff competition we also had many student groups who supported us we were supported by the boys lacrosse team the baseball team track teams who both participated in our polar plunge that raised money for special olympics and they were there to support us in our meet mike boyer and the epics club helped us to figure out storage solutions for our our courts and to help us to figure out ramps that are needed for our students in wheelchairs our key club helped us by purchasing our uniforms that were delayed by by the challenges of this school year and north penn tv the night crier they covered many of our events with stories and articles the chorus sang at our meet and jrotc presented

the flag but in addition we had the support of the parents of our students which was very critical we had parents who picked up their students from practice they showed up at every competition we had regardless of the time of day or the location and for many of our students these parents also made bocce a priority by changing their their child's schedule of specialized therapies including specialized speech therapy ot and pt sessions so i greatly appreciate the support of the parents to make sure that these students were able to participate this year so now that i've said a few words i will announce the team we had three team managers which include molly agres john dolan and scott nagorski team columbia included jimmy shay nick lupinacci luke williams luke chavore kevin voss jocelyn franek layla

richardson seegers and maureen gambouji you can start coming up guys hmm team navy included brian duffy arushi mattel mark heath dylan brown aaron chee kayla puglisi michael twinem and hannah mallis and last but certainly certainly latin and certainly not least is our jv squad including jeffrey mcgowan julia kyle john burke manu mattel chris larosa jaden riley jack pacosi john weber jared sands cara mcgowan emma hirsch isabel maggie maria mia sparango lauren bernstein lauren blanche jess alvarado katie mumford emily habib and nicholas orpisa um hello so uh thank you again all right let's give it up one more time for the unified bocce team well done we're going to take a minute to just let everybody who's exiting have their opportunity to do so okay so next up on our agenda this evening is the audience

of citizens i will read off the uh guidelines and then we will start with um the public comment portion this meeting is being videotaped for community cable channels and streamed live individuals attending this meeting and intending to speak to the board should be aware that they are being videotaped in order to meet the requirements of pennsylvania's sunshine law it is necessary to record the names of all citizens who speak to the board during the meeting to ensure compliance with this requirement it is essential that those planning to address the board state their name and municipality members of the audience are asked to limit their questions and comments to allow time for all those who wish to speak to the board the board president may ask an individual to yield the microphone to the next speaker

as a reminder the audience of citizens portion of the meeting is designed for residents and taxpayers of the district to provide comment and feedback on matters which are or may come before the board it is not designed for debate or discussion with the board when appropriate individual school directors may choose to respond to public comments that have been made once the audience of citizens period has concluded or request that a member of the administration follow up with the speakers after the meeting so with that we have a couple or three people that signed up ahead of time and then if there's anyone after that that would like to make public comment um they will have their turn after that so first up this evening is mrs pauline brocco after that is mrs nina voci and

then mrs diana good blystone um my name is paulie imbracio and i'm from town manson township um you don't have a timer up today and how many i don't know how many minutes okay there we go i see it thank you um i wanted to there's been some things that i've seen that are very disconcerting and that has to do with um porn and sex in the schools it is really distressing to know that there's a book i'm not going to say the title of it because it actually is in the library of the north penn high school the building that we are in and i don't want to have a run on it by the students i think if parents want their children to read porn then they can take them to the bookstore

or the adult store and get them whatever they want i was going to read an excerpt from this book i'm not really sure that i should because all of these experts that i excerpts that i have here are really uh quite um explicit and it is just really amazing to me that you would have a book like this in the school library the book actually says it actually says here that this book is not for minors okay this is the page it says not for minors well the vast majority of kids in high school some of them may be 18 but the vast majority are under 18 which means they are minors so again whoever made the decision to put this book in this library is a little skewed to say the least also i'd

like to go back to what i've mentioned before about having cameras in the classrooms there is money in the district for that and i think if you apply for it it can be done and i'm not talking about constant surveillance i'm talking about having classrooms videotaped because if there's a discrepancy between what a student or a teacher is saying then somebody who is authorized can go and review the tape they would have the date and time stamp on it and they can see exactly what happened i know that out in pittsburgh for instance which is obviously not the school district but it's in the state so i don't know what's going on in the school district since we don't have cameras in the classrooms there is a teacher kindergarten teacher teaching her students about transgender

because she has a five-year-old at home who is transgender it is beyond my comprehension how a child can decide or think about being the opposite of what they are unless somebody plants that in their head that's the only way that that can happen because a child just living their life playing with their toys playing outside whatever they're doing would not come up with that on their own i think there really needs to be some oversight and i think some teachers and i think you need to vet the teachers uh better thank you mrs brachio so next up is mrs voci am i pronouncing that word right sorry sorry but nobody gets worried uh nenevose upper gwenett um i sort of thank you for the bocce recognition that really makes me happy and i hope that

continues with our unified sports and our special olympics because i think it's really important for that inclusion and that's all i wanted to say and dr dietrich enjoy your retirement your son's reaction and wanting to get your attention to make sure that he saw it was just priceless being able to see it from from this angle so yeah that's him he's yeah he's um he like sees that he likes to make the attention it was incredibly touching to see his pride and wanting to shut down that's exactly what i'm saying you know like this recognition is it's a really good thing and i just i hope it continues it's our pleasure thank you you know everybody's more aware of it but it was great thank you mrs a heart too thank you is mrs blyston

here i don't think she was here earlier but i don't think i see her anymore um okay so is there anyone else that would like me to make public comment at this time hello erin blanc of hatfield um i just want to bring something to like a broader scale attention it's not a big complaint and i actually spoke with dr mckenna about it and he kind of pointed me into the proper direction to um discuss it more and give more clarity and uh maybe go further with it so i'll just let you know what i've been thinking about specials in planning for next year i wanted to point out that there is an issue in the elementary schools at our school and other schools i know we have um a discrepancy in the number of

sections and then the staff you know hours so we have to uh move things around this was the first year that we experienced it in our school and with both of my children oddly enough two sections in our school both of my kids were affected so basically we had too many sections at our school so a teacher from teachers the four specialist teachers from other schools had to come over to our school basically they came at the end of the day so that i guess that's how the teacher ended their day at the other school i'll say that one of my kids was in the cafeteria for every special so that wasn't ideal he sat on the cafeteria floor after lunch before it was cleaned it made him really uncomfortable he's my kid so he

doesn't like to do things like that he wasn't pleased you know he would tell me and complain and so forth i don't feel that my kids and the kids in their classes received an equal experience to the kids throughout the rest of the school i can go more into detail in a private conversation i know that some of it was not under the control of the teachers some was they can't bring everything with them but basically we need to look more into how this is run for the next year this ties into my next request and suggestion offering foreign languages and stem as specials i did ask some friends and i've been hearing that districts around us do offer these things as specials they have five or six specials spanish is the the frequently used

foreign language that these schools offer i feel that these two areas are crucial as our world evolves to compete in the job market and survive in society starting at the younger ages would really set the children up for greater success and ensure that they are more well-rounded children and you know members of society so it's been something that i've been thinking about for a while and when this problem came up with my kids this year i felt like it may be like a way to you know mesh it all together and think further about it so i'm happy to talk with anyone about it so thank you thank you mrs blind sure jason lanier lansdale borough wanted to touch again on the subject that was brought up here regarding transgender education and what it seems

to be in this school district is your your not just making this an informational thing for kids that are about to graduate but this is sort of a a push to indoctrinate kids into a transgender mentality now is anybody at the board can can they tell me that that's not happening and this i know you don't want to have conversation but i would be i would question it based upon the literature that has been brought into the into the school district and are you aware of the suicidal ideation that comes along with transgenderism and i don't know if if if you've looked at the research but there is uh there's country called sweden who's done this for since 1974 and just recently they have stopped doing this and you know why they've stopped doing this

they stopped doing this because they realized the suicidal adhesion was beyond belief in the number of kids that were signing up or being pushed into taking hormone blockers was astronomically high this is really a serious situation you talk about wanting to make a school welcoming and safe and yet you're pushing kids from kids have a lot of issues i realize and there is suicide isolation among all kids but when you take a specific mindset and you promote it in the school you end up with more of that in which case you're you are promoting kids to have suicidal ideation and this is the statistics the more kids that identify as transgender the more kids will be committing suicide have you read any of this literature or is this simply a political push for you guys

honestly i know you don't want you don't like to respond but this is isn't isn't this for the public i am speaking so that other people who have this on their mind who don't want to come up and say anything will hear the answer the answer should be from you guys what is the agenda here to push these books into into the lower classrooms and even higher i don't know if there's a plan ultimately to try to get kids to do gender reassignment surgeries and puberty blockers and all sorts of things i mean i know that's happened in other school districts around the country but have you read the books that you guys have put into the library and into the classrooms and just for k-3 there's 15 different books and it's all you're doing

it isn't it was they weren't sitting here prior you guys have pushed this and i would like to know why you're doing that how does a little kid identify as anything other than a kid thank you mr lenny thank you is there anyone else that would like to make public comment at this time okay then we'll move on with the rest of our agenda i'd just like to announce that mrs wesley and mr casa are both with us they are on attending virtually through uh telephone so all right um so first up i need approval of the minutes from the may 19th 2022 action meeting do i have a motion please second motion by mr fusco and seconded by mrs romich are there any comments or questions all in favor say aye aye any opposed

particular bid just quickly absolutely miss wesley thanks for the question this was pretty exciting the results of this bid because there was a tie so the two lowest responsible bidders ended up with a tie so we had requested of each vendor if they were agreeable to a coin flip to break the tie which is permitted both vendors agreed and we had a coin flip it i felt like i was an nfl referee at the super bowl at midfield at the start of the game with the coin flip but that's how this bid was decided we had a drawing out of a hat to see who would call the flip and that individual had an opportunity to call the flip or defer so the one particular vendor won the drawing from the hat decided to call

the toss called heads and it was heads so that's who's being recommended for the bid award tonight so in my 29 plus years in school business this is the first time i had the opportunity to do a coin flip to determine the winning bidder on a project all right did we vote on that no i said did we i don't remember if we did it i don't think we did okay all right we have a motion in a second all in favor say aye recommend approval of an increase of 2.25 percent to the salary hourly rate schedule of the non-union and confidential support staff for the 2022-23 fiscal year effective july 1st 2022 can i have a motion question by mr rash second second by mrs ramich any questions and seeing none all those in

the 2022-23 school nutrition services enterprise fund budget in the amount of six million one hundred twenty three thousand fifty two dollars breakfast meals will be free for all students for the year and the lunch meals will be free for all qualifying free and reduced students for the year do you have a motion second motioned by mr fusco and second invited mr homage all um i'm sorry are there any comments or questions i have one quick question sure go ahead um as i'm understanding this or reading this the breakfast will be continue to be free despite um free and reduced lunch no longer being available correct so for the past two years of all breakfast and lunches were free for all students so that program expired at the end of the school year but for a

transition we're recommending that all breakfasts be free for all students for the 22-23 fiscal year for one year period now for reduced students they paid i think it's 40 cents a meal for reduced students that will be free and we're recommending that continue in perpetuity that that's not just a one year thing for lunches correct so if you are on reduced you'll pay nothing if you're free you'll pay nothing for lunch were we able to use esser funds for this or you were able to cover it through the enterprise yes we were able to cover that through the enterprise fund because of the significant fund balance the school nutrition services department has now okay thank you i really like the idea specifically of having breakfast be free for all students i think especially students who

district money correct that is correct that the current diesel prices is roughly 50 000 so diesel would have to come down by about 50 cents a gallon in order for this to be break even but as we talked at the finance committee there's many benefits to this in addition to the financial benefits absolutely absolutely i appreciate the environmental benefits of the green vessel so thank you very much for taking that opportunity it kind of just um fell into your lap i think from what you told us at finance so i'm glad you took the chance or the opportunity to get us those bosses thank you so um there's a motion on the floor if there's no further comments all in favor say aye all right any opposed motion carries thank you dr dietrich okay next

up will be uh the finance report from mr scracky please thank you madam president well with tonight's passage of the 2223 budget we will be working with the elected tax collectors in preparation for the issuance of the tax bills we expect those will be in mailboxes right around the first of july if you're a property owner in north penn school district and you don't receive your tax bill by about mid-july please reach out to your elected tax collector and your municipality unfortunately failure to receive your bill does not excuse you from payment of the real estate taxes dr bauer would be disappointed if i didn't bring up an update with respect to the tax rebate program so we are in the final two weeks of the 2122 program that provides a 60 percent reimbursement for

individuals that also received a rebate through the state program so please encourage anyone that you know that might receive a rebate from the state to apply at north penn there's still a couple weeks left starting on july 1st we'll issue our new forms our new forms will include the reimbursable percentage of 75 of the state rebate amount so the board has increased the amount of rebates each year now we'll be entering in our fifth year of the program so it's been very successful mr scrocky can i quick stop um do you have any update on what the state is doing no update i'm just going to give an update on the state budget because that's part of it governor wolf did propose a 200 million dollar increase to the state property tax and rent rebate

program we heard about that directly from governor wolf last month at a public presentation at the y on main street here in lansdale but there hasn't been much movement on the state budget including that particular item i did receive a legislative update today through the passbow organization it appears that things are starting to heat up a little bit now the hope is to have a budget pass by the end of june which is actually a requirement even though it doesn't happen every year so i think they're trying to hammer out all the details with respect to a number of things including that federal stimulus spending that the state needs to do within the next two years and that additional state rebate money was part of that potential federal stimulus spending money the big one for

us though of course is how much increase if any will be to the basic education funding the governor did propose quite a substantial increase about 1.5 billion dollars it'll be interesting to see where the legislature ends up with an increase in the basic education funding we're hearing numbers somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 to 750 million dollars it won't be probably won't be to the extent that the governor presented but a 500 to 750 million dollar increase would be nice for pennsylvania so we appreciate the governor's support of public education and we're hopeful that we will see a nice increase we do have a three percent increase in our budget for uh the basic education funding and special education funding so certainly we're hopeful that the increase is at least three percent for north penn

school district in terms of the uh the numbers for the month of may for the financial report we did have cash receipts in may that totaled 7.9 million and expenses were 18 million dollars left us with a balance of 94.1 million dollars at the end of may and that's about seven hundred thousand dollars higher than the same period last year so we are going to be entering our period starting on july 1st where we are very cash rich our balance will end up well over 200 million dollars so the timing of the fed's 75 basis point rate increase yesterday will certainly bode well with our investments this summer madam president asking for approval of the may treasurer's report please do have a motion please so move do a second second motion by mr fusco and

seconded by mrs ramich any comments or questions all in favor say aye aye aye any opposed motion carries okay next up we have the sanction and approval of invoices for the month of may and they totaled 21 million 633 7753.56 and we're recommending ratification of those disbursements please do i have a motion so moved second second motion by mr fusco seconded by dr g any comments or questions all in favor say aye aye any opposed motion carries and finally for vote under the treasures report we have the budget transfers for the month of may we did review these at the finance committee meeting we're recommending approval of those transfers totaling two hundred ninety nine thousand nine hundred twenty seven dollars and fifty five cents there are motion so moved a second motion by mr fresco

public comment at this time hi pauline brought you thomason township did i understand correctly that you're going to fuel buses with propane because you're going to save 50 000 a year you're filthy rich because mr scracky just said that you're getting 200 million dollars in your investments if i heard that correctly what are you going to do the first time a bus crashes and the whole thing explodes and children are burned beyond recognition did you really think this through using propane i have some experience with propane are you seriously considering or have you seriously made this decision to have children carted around in propane fueled buses you people are i mean i'm not going to stand here and insult you because you already realize how foolish you are can i just stop you i i

kind of had the same concerns when we first talked about on the propane buses don't be taking up my time you can talk to me but you stop the clock well i'm just going to stop you because um you know gasoline is also combustible so i mean okay okay propane is more is much more volatile and i'm not done so please put my minutes back up i have another topic as well i don't see the minutes up there go ahead the clock is keeping up okay um the other thing that i wanted to ask well i'm not even asked but just um [Music] now that you've said that you have all this money you can actually put cameras in the classrooms i don't understand why you would be opposed to that i don't understand why

any teacher would be opposed to that if they're not doing anything that needs to be clandestine then why would they oppose it um i i just that is just beyond my comprehension as well i guess i just don't understand a lot about what you guys are doing um the other thing is as far as this book is and other books are concerned one of the excerpts from this book is actually describing rape and um you know it's just really there were two graduates from this high school that um are rapists and one of them is our current vice chair uh of the montgomery county i'm gonna stop you um no you don't have to stop me it's going to be the mississippi i can speak about what i'm speaking about i'm talking about the school

district mrs no mrs to go on mr why don't you just why don't you just stop talking you know because you're making mrs brocco please stop ken lawrence is a rapist mr mrs brocco that's enough please take miss yeah this forum is not used for you to slander people that's not the purpose of public comment security can you please um escort mrs brocco out okay yes it is i know i know i'm the one who raped okay have a good night security can you please explore mrs brachio out thank you yes please mr lanier can you just wait a second please can you just wait a second um as long as are you as long as you don't disrupt the meeting anymore mr lanier will give you your turn to speak mr lynn here jason

here lansdale um i wanted to go back to what we had talked about before i i really want to know is is sort of the promotion of transgenderism being activated in the school are you guys promoting this to younger kids it's a real easy question to answer and it's not just me who's asking it it's other people who've read can't understand why these books are in the school which seem to be promoting this and i'm not i'm not looking at the books and saying this is my interpretation of the book this is how the book is listed in its description it's listed as a transgender if you wanted to do a search criteria you could search it by this criteria and these are for k through third grade what what is the rationale for this

and you and you all realize you i'm sure you realize this because it was in in your your uh pride uh month newsletter that you sent out that that showed links to the was a dylan project and their mention of of how much suicide alienation is on kids that are transgender and it's less for kids who are not transgender so are you trying to promote suicidal ideas ideation uh among kids this is a serious question i mean what is the purpose of having these books at k-3 for for everybody watching the school board doesn't seem to want to be answering this very simple question which is why would they promote books or why would they have books that promote uh transgender ideology in k through third grade or for any minor in that for that

matter you can answer the question no so i want to get back to this study that was from switzerland or sweden rather have you read any of this do you realize what they've come they were very progressive in their thinking no doubt one of the most progressive countries in the world and they stopped doing this because of this reason and here you guys are promoting this and is it a pro and it's not because it's beneficial to anybody or is it strictly for political purposes are you guys going to wait until i stop speaking and then mischaracterize what i said and answer a question i'm not asking because it's a very simple question why are you doing this or do you admit that you're not doing this and if you admit that you're not doing

this then why do you have these books very straightforward thank you mr lanier is there anyone else that would like to make public comment this evening that ends our public comment portion of the meeting mrs still can i just i would like to just share and reflect i think this has been an incredible month for us with graduation and um both at the north penn graduation and then at the anderson graduation that i got to the anderson school graduation through the iu that i got to attend today it was so amazing to be able to talk to each and you know to as many students as we could right about their future plans and in talking to some of those students several identified as being trans and never did their health status their their gender

identity never did it come up but their hopes and dreams did and they shared with us where they hope to go what they hope to do and there's a lot that they have to give and so for every student who is is questioning or is very firm with their gender identity or their sexual orientation your future matters your decisions about what you do after north penn matters to us and we want to be a part of helping you get there thank you mrs ramich are there any other comments or questions this evening from the board or administration okay seeing none do i have a motion to adjourn salute second thank you have a nice night everyone you
