001To the flag of the United States of America to the flag it stands under God indivisibley and justice for all. Peter, Peter, you might want to mute your phone or your computer. >> Okay, at this time I'd like to call a check of directors. >> Miss Kim here. Mrs. Good here. Mrs. Alio >> here. Mr. Kova >> here. >> Dr. Cuffman >> here. >> Mr. Fry >> here. >> Mrs. Hanley >> here. >> Mrs. Lowry. >> She said here. >> Mr. >> Here. Thank you very much. Um, at this time, are there any additions to the agenda? If none, I'd like to make a motion to approve. Do I have a second? >> Second. >> All in favor signify by saying I. >> I. >> All opposed. Motion carries. We had executive session on May
0025th from 6:00 pm till 6:32 to discuss personnel as well as again to on May 5th at 6:55 to 7:13 to discuss personnel and consult with attorney. And we had executive session tonight from 6 o'clock till 6:28 to discuss personnel. Um at this time I'd like to call for um I'll make a motion to approve the minutes. Do I have a second? >> Second. >> Any question on the motion? All in favor signify by saying I. >> I. >> All opposed. Motion carries. Mrs. Petroski, um, would you be able to review the board goals? Thanks, Amy. Sure. Ridgeway Area School District will provide learning opportunities to meet the needs of a diverse population and a dynamic workforce. Ridgeway Area School District will continue to build transparent and trusted relationships with all stakeholders. Ridgeway Area School
003District will continue to build a culture of safety and support for all students, staff, and families of the community. Thank you very much. At this time, we have public comment and my knowledge there are no comments. Okay, we'll move forward to student of the month. I'd like to call on um Mr. Heindel for FSG. >> Thank you, Miss Ke. Um you know you're getting old when I taught the parents of both students of the month here. So So our first student of the month is Miss Evelyn Ho. Miss Hoy was nominated by our third grade teacher, Mrs. Moer. Mrs. Moser says that Miss Hoy consistently leads by example, setting a high standard for her classmates through her hard work and genuine commitment to her studies. She takes great pride in her work and demonstrates a
004mature growth mindset by proactively asking thoughtful questions whenever she needs clarification. She is exceptionally kind and respectful to everyone she meets, making our classroom a more welcoming place. She demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic. It makes her a welldeserved recipient of this honor. When I had the privilege to interview Miss Hoy, she tried to tell me her favorite subject, even though I think it's math, is reading in ELA, as she likes to read books and she's excited to see what happens next. What she likes most about school is being with her friends. This is a good one here. She's shown kindness by not getting involved in draw. Her advice for other students is to be really good student in and out of the classroom. Her school inspiration is Mrs. Moer and she is
005always there for her. Her idea to improve the school is for people to always to be nice to one another. Her future goal was to be a therapist and her favorite memory this year was the glow party. Miss Evelyn Hoy All right. Our second student of the month is Mr. Drake Smith. Drake was nominated by a second grade teacher, Mrs. Bundy. Mrs. Bundy said that Drake comes to school every day with a positive attitude and a smile on his face. Demonstrates academic effort, a positive attitude and kindness towards others. He's a hard worker, shows leadership skills, and is very reliable and is an allound amazing student and I'm very proud to have Drake in my class even though he wore that Mahomes jersey all the time. Okay. His favorite subject when I had a chance
006to interview him was math. Is he's excited to learn how to tell time. What he likes most about school is recess. He shows kindness by standing up for others when they need help. His advice for other students is to be kind, try hard, and to always help others. His school inspiration is his teachers and his friends because they are always there for him. His idea to improve the school longer recess. His future goal is to be a WWE wrestler. Okay. And his favorite memory this year is all the field trips that he got to go on. Mr. Drake Smith. We can get a picture now. We'll give it back. Thank you very much. >> Congratulations. Okay, this time Mr. FDowski, would you like to introduce the extraordinary elkers? >> Sure. Um, our first one from
007the middle school is the eighth grade sto student Nolan Ryder. Um, he's a uh very quiet kid, but then I found out by talking to Mr. Heindel that that's really not necessarily true when he's not in school. So, um, I'm thankful that in school he, uh, he's quiet. He does what he's supposed to do, and, uh, he's just a really pleasant kid, as we're about to see. >> Hi, I'm with this month's middle school extraordinary elk, Nolan Ryder. He is the son of Jason and Jody Ryder, and he was nominated by Miss Olay for helping her in her classroom. So, Nolan, how did you feel whenever you found out that you were this great? >> Uh, I was kind of curious about it because I didn't really know what it was. Um, and then can
008you tell us a little bit your about your activities in the business? >> Oh, went through different sports like soccer and basketball. >> And then, um, what do you have you do, you like the high honor roll and >> Oh, yeah. On the high roll, too. >> Congrats. Um, and then who is your favorite teacher and why are they your favorite teacher? >> Um, I like all of them for different reasons. Nice. >> Um, and then last but not least, what are your future plans? >> I'd like to go to school to be an architect. >> Good luck with that. Thank you. Hey man. Um, what a great answer saying that all of his teachers are his favorite. So, I'm sure that helped his grade out. >> Yeah, he could become a diplomat. >> Yeah.
009Yeah. And our high school extraordinary is a 12th 12th grade student. His name is Frankie Miller. Um, Frankie is is also a great kid. He's really involved in a lot of different things. But what I thought was kind of funny today, he was actually in the office uh not for being in trouble. He was just there asking a couple questions and somebody said to him like, "Hey, you're this this month's extraordinary alert." And then someone else was like, "I would have never guessed that knowing you in middle school." So like I guess he was a little bit more rambunctious back in the day. Um but he's definitely mellowed out. He's a great kid. Um he plans to go slippery rock. Um so hope to see a little bit more about Frankie Miller. Hi, I'm with
010this month's extraordinary elker Frankie Miller. He is the son of Rick Miller and Jamie Yuri and he was nominated by Pshot for helping another student. So Frankie, how did you feel whenever you found out that you're the extraordinary out there? >> Uh it felt really great to know that people actually appreciate what you do in the school notice what you're doing. So that felt pretty great to know. >> Um and then can you tell us about your activities and achievements throughout high school? Um, I played baseball, basketball, and football for three years and golf for a year. And some achievements were lettering in all four years my sport and making all tournament team and making Alagany Allstar teams, which was pretty neat. That was pretty fun to do. >> Yeah. Congratulations. >> Thank you. >>
011Um, and then who's your favorite teacher and why? >> Um, I'd have to say Mrs. Grubs is my favorite teacher kind of because always a burden to her. You know, sometimes I get under her skin, but she's always been great. Nice. Um, so then do you have any advice for the other students here? >> Um, some of my advice would be just don't be afraid to try new things and always try to best. >> Um, and then senior year, what are your future plans? >> Um, I'm planning to go to Slippery Rock, major in industrial engineering, and I'm pretty excited for that. >> All right, good luck with that. >> Thank you. >> He's got a great personality. He's fun. He's fun to be around and so he's just one of those kids that you
012enjoy seeing at school. Um he's also what they do senior lunch downtown. Um one of the times he had leftover pizza and he sent it to the office for me. So he he liked pizza. So very nice of him. >> Very nice. Thank you very much. At this time um we have board business. Is there any solar update at this time? Mrs. Sidinger. Um I had sent out the notification that we were successful in securing the grant. So that was a positive. I am gathering more data and information on the financial aspects of it and I will have more of that information to pass along soon. >> Great. Thank you. Um under new business, we have the transition to the Keystone agenda. Um since we will no longer be using board docs in that will
013happen in June. So for our June meeting we'll still be using board docks and when we meet again we should be using the next keystone agenda as Mrs. As Mrs. Petroski gets information she'll pass along to us and the IU9 report. Uh the meeting will be held on May 18th. >> This time we'll have the principal report. Um Mr. Heindel for FSG. >> Thank you, Miss Kelly. Uh in addition to my board uh report which is posted just a couple highlights. Um thanks to Mrs. Groom shop and obviously Mr. Pete Balmer uh for agriculture and FSG were able to bring a cow to school last week which the kids I think got more enjoyment out of that than anything. I think Mr. Bulmer was more excited because he got to bring his boys and uh
014the things that they were able to do with the kids that introduced them to the cow. It was really neat. The kids had a ball and they're still looking out there every day when they come in the door to see what's still out there for us. Um our kindergarten graduation as you can see is getting set up and scheduled for Wednesday, May 20th. Doors are open at 5:30. The program begins promptly at 6 with the musical production of Pajama Party. Uh we're excited or inviting the board to come up if you guys have the opportunity. The kids have been working very hard. It's one of our larger kindergarten classes that have graduated through here in a long time and 72 kids. And last but not least, I want to thank the board um for allowing
015these field trips. Uh as I'm getting settled in my role up here, it's amazing for a lot of these kids. It's their only opportunity to get outside of Ridgeway and um it's really big. Uh the kids the last couple weeks have been so excited. This Friday they get to go to Parker Dam. Hopefully they'll stay rattlesnakes. Um but overall it's just an exciting time for these kids at the end of the year. So any questions? >> No. Thank you very much, Mr. Powski. >> Um well the middle high school this time of the year is very calm. There's not much going on sarcastically speaking. So, it's been really busy. Uh there's always something wild and crazy happening, but uh most recently we had our prom. Uh it went off really well. Um a lot everybody
016was dressed very well and it was it was fun to be there. Um Brendan Rupre was our prom king and Emily Gazbury was our prom queen. um last Friday uh that had the Special Olympics um and at Cameron County and when they came back um we welcomed the Olympians through the hallways through a parade and kids cheering them on and that was something we um we did last year I know but uh we started doing that with all of our kids that are going to states for um sports. So, going along that theme, that was really fun and it was exciting to see how excited they were coming down through the hallways with everybody cheering for them. Um, upcoming things, we have the principal awards tomorrow in at at in the auditorium at 7:00. Um,
017so we g a lot of kids awards that have made honoral. Um, we have May 27th. Uh, one of the cool things that I went to last year was the senior painting at the bachelorette and then there's a banquet for the for the kids afterwards. And then, uh, May 29th, if you could do your best to do whatever you can to make us have nice nice weather, so hopefully we can be outside on the football field for our graduation. Um, our backup is the auditorium, which is a great place, but there's nothing like being outside um for graduation. So, let's hope that goes off without any issues. But other than that, things are just going with the PSSA test, the Keystone test, finals. There's just so many things going on. Um, so, um, it's it's
018it's been a whirlwind lately. >> I have a question for you. Do seniors still pull pranks? >> Um, yes. Yes. They do them in various ways. not like probably when I was in high school or maybe when you were in high school, but they uh they are always uh active um this especially this time of year. >> Any other questions? >> Thank you, Mr. Powski. Um we'll have the Office of Student Services. Uh yeah, as David shared, um we recently did ho have the Special Olympics. Um it was not Ridgeway's year to host. We take turns um rotating. This year the kids all went to Cameron County for the day. Um we had 36 athletes that attended. Um we had 12 staff members and we had 13 peer buddies. We had to sign up for
019peer buddies and you know the students in the the high school, we had like 50 kids offer to sign up to go be peer buddies. I didn't have enough room on the bus for that. So, we chose um the seniors and any student that was on part of the botchi team. So, that's how we chose the students this year. And there were 13 peers that we had go. They all had a great time and both buildings did a wonderful job of welcoming the kids back. It's one of our our favorite wholesome wholesome days. Um so, that that's done and went well. Um the special ed plan is I made the revisions today. Mrs. Petrosi is going to resubmit it. did three little um really it came down to wording of a a document and so
020those are resubmitted and hopefully this time it comes back clean and and we're good to move forward with that. Um extended school year is is an event that happens over the summer. We have it for three weeks in the month of July. It's for 12 different days. You have to qualify for that program through their IEP. We have 44 students that are eligible to attend that program. Um, did the names go tonight? Okay. The names are in there tonight to approve the teacher and two teachers. They're going to split the day. Some in the one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and then the five paras that assist with the program. Um, that is um a wonderful time just to give my the lowest level learners just time to reintegrate back into the the
021school setting in the middle of the summer. Um, we usually have about I would say about 30 some that attend. Our permission slips weren't due back until tomorrow, so I'm not sure yet, but I that's what I anticipate. Um, for early intervention, you know, that's a large amount of my time right now in our office. Like I've shared before, we evaluated 15 students. There are 14 that are going to qualify. Um, and one of those will be attending St. Leo's is what's anticipated. So, I am looking at bringing on 13 additional students. Um, we have their initial meetings pending. You know, parent approval. We'll have 13 kids and they're going to be for um six days in the next in the next week or two. Um, I do have positive news in the Paris staffing
022world. That's an ongoing world for me. Um, I Mrs. Fernandean and I did conduct interviews and I do have two candidates that we've offered, you know, uh, verbal permission for a job um that have agreed to the building. I'd like to place them in um and their names will be coming to the June board meeting. So that that would leave me 18 and 18. That would leave me equal. So for now um you know so that that is really good leave uh good news. I'm I'm excited about um both candidates. I feel they have something they can bring to the district. Um my numbers for special education numbers stayed about the same. Um, we had a a dismissal. Um, you know, somebody moved in. We had an initial and then a dismissal. So, it kind
023of equaled out. So, we're still at 175 there. Um, chapter 15, our 504s are the same and gifted are the same. This in April, there's not much fluctuation because we're we've had most of our evaluations are completed. We're working on the early intervention kiddos. um the incarcerated um youth that we have down there. Um they will he'll be completing his education um within the prison setting in the next week and he'll be graduating with his diploma from his home school district. So that will be completed and finished up within the next week or two. Um, and as far as our vision service, I just do want to say that at my uh local special ed meeting up with IU, they did relay that at this time they do not have a vision teacher um for
024the upcoming school year. They're going to do everything that they can to find one, but we do have one student within the district that does currently utilize um weekly services from them. So, that'll be something that if they're unable to find that, we do have to find find a way to service that. So other than that, that's it for special ed right now. Thank you. >> Thank you very much, Mrs. Zinger. The business report. Thank you, Miss Kimme. Um my report and all the attachments are in board doc. Some of the highlights, um our cash flow is running in line with budget. Um there is a couple of areas of concern and that would be um obviously cyber spending and um legal fees at this time. Uh the monthly budget to actual is also attached
025for April 2026. Um we talked a little bit about the solar items last week. Um we do have a pre-RO job conference for the Middlecast project on May 26th at 9:00. So, we will have that meeting with the engineering firm and the contractors for kickoff the week of June 1st to start construction at the middle high school. Um 2627 budget is on the agenda tonight for final approval. It is exactly what was brought forward in April. Um from a financial standpoint, the homestead farmstead exemptions have been attached. Last year we had um 1,710 Homestead Farmstead properties. This year that number jumped to 1733. So there were 23 more additional properties that were approved. And the amount of homestead exemption last year was $359 $35957. The amount this year will be $356.72 as a result of
026the change in approved properties. Um the numbers for our cafeteria for March are attached. Um we're still running at a positive uh balance from uh the the nutrition P&L average breakfast and lunch numbers have been running very well. Um there is a report attached that Kevin put together. It's attached under my my area in board docs for your review as well. So that's from the nutrition group. Um cyber moments rockets and replacements and Jeff Tech are all listed on my report and that's all I have for them. >> Thank you very much. Um, at this time the superintendent report. >> Thank you, Mr. Kevin. Um, just a couple items. My report is attached. I just want to draw attention to a couple things. Um, uh, the area school districts were awarded a impact the community
027impact award from St. Mary's areas. So that award is in our office if you would like to see it. Um Johnsonburgg and ECC both received that award. Um as well as Ridgeway. Uh our extracurricular meeting, we continue um the AR for the field trips and their submitted for 123 which are on the agenda tonight. Um we did have our comprehensive um planning kickoff. I included the PowerPoint for you if you wanted to look at what was presented to the people that came for the comprehensive plan. There was probably um about 15 people there. we split up into committees um and then we will continue in the fall as we um those committees then will um develop different parts of the um comprehensive plan. So that will take place in the fall. Also um I attended
028the PARS conference um last week and we actually won a $500 scholarship for a senior. So that will be awarded during the award ceremony for our seniors. And I just have a a couple pieces of um leg legislation that I have on there. Um seizure recognition in schools. That's something that they're pushing, but just so you're aware, we do that every year here in Ridgeway. Um even though it's on this, but I wanted to take that opportunity to say we are already doing that. Um also the special ed contingency fund. Um there is never enough funding for special education. So I'm hoping that they do something with that. Um the cell phone ban continues. they continue to kind of tweak it a little bit. Um, but currently it would prohibit use of mobile phones on
029school property at any time during the day. And then of course it's up to the school to determine how you're going to manage that. But that that's the proposed legislation. Sometimes they have only during instructional time. They've changed it back and forth. So I'm really waiting to see where that lands as far as um legislation goes. Um I know they did change the dates to not this it initially was to start this school year. I think the new date for 2728 school year if they accept that legislation. So, and then I I left the other one on there just um about notification of bullying. I talked about that last month. >> Yeah. One comment on the uh cell phone thing. I read an article in Newsweek, I think, that states that have adopted this did
030not see the anticipated improvement and scholastic achievement to go with it, which is a surprise to everybody. But they did measure uh an improvement for the teachers and that the class was much more manageable. So for whatever that's worth, that's just, you know, one report where it's been adopted. >> Is there any other questions? >> Okay. Thank you. >> Thank you. Okay. At this time, um, building and grounds, there is nothing. So we'll move on to finance with Mrs. Hanley. It's not on my thing. It's that the motion's not there. It's right here. >> Right here. Okay. I move that the Ridge School Board approve the finance items 10A through 10F as listed. I'll second that. >> Okay, >> we have a motion and a second. Are there any questions on the motion? >> Roll
031call vote, please. >> Mrs. Good. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Alio, >> yes. >> Mr. Kob, >> yes. >> Dr. Coffman, >> yes. >> Mr. Frank, >> yes. >> Mrs. Hanley, >> yes. >> Mrs. Lowry. >> Yes. >> Mr. Mccertie. >> Yes. >> Miss Keming. >> Yes. >> Motion carries. Thank you. Um, at this time, I'm going to call on Mrs. Good to do policy and procedure for Mrs. Lowry since she's remote. >> I move that the Red Area School Board approve the policy item 11A as listed. Second. We have a motion and a second. Any questions on the motion? Roll call vote, please. >> Mrs. Alio, >> yes. >> Mr. Kobach, >> yes. >> Dr. Kaufman, >> yes. >> Mr. Frank, >> yes. >> Mrs. Hanley, >> yes. >> Mrs. Lowry, >> yes. >> Mr.
032McCertie, >> yes. >> Miss Good. >> Yes. >> Miss Ke? >> Yes. Motion carries. Thank you. And this time we're going to move to personnel. I'll I'll just do that for Miss for Dr. Kaufman since he's remote. Um I move that the Ridgeway Area School Board approve personnel items 12A through 12N as listed. Do I have a second? >> Second. >> We have a motion and a second. Are there any questions on the motion? Yes, I would like to handle uh 12N the memorandum of understanding separately. >> We have a motion to separate um and vote on 12N separately. Is there a second for that motion? >> Second. >> Okay, we have a second. All in favor? I >> all oppose. So, um we'll do the roll call vote on um 12 A through 12
033M. >> Mr. Kobach. >> Yes. >> Dr. Kaufman. >> Yes. >> Mr. Fry. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Hanley. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Lowry. Yes, >> Mr. McCertie. >> Yes, >> Mrs. Good. >> Yes, Mrs. Alio. >> Yes, Miss Kim. >> Yes. >> Motion carries. All right. At this time, I'd like to bring forth the motion 12 N for approval. Do I have any questions on that motion? Yeah, we probably have to move it, second it, and then questions. >> Wouldn't that be right? >> So, you just motion and somebody needs to second it. >> I'll second it. >> Okay. >> And then yes, some some discussion. >> A motion to approve. >> Oh, just any question. Okay. Are there questions? >> Are we ready for the question? >> Yes, we're ready for questions. >> Yeah.
034some observations. Um, we're establishing the new employee class with this halftime teacher. That's something we haven't had. Uh, district health and retirement benefits exceed market norms. Part-time employees normally do not get benefits. With establishing a new class of employee, I think this is an opportunity to align district benefits with market norms. And so that's my perspective on this memorandum of understanding. But I don't have a fully formed uh position yet and I would request other board members to weigh in on the matter so that I can have a better informed vote. >> So are you saying no benefits at all? >> I'm saying that's one thing to consider. >> Okay. And you know, perhaps we need to just wrestle with this a little before we vote on it. I mean, I'm I'm just not really
035settled. >> Well, I think um my understanding is that the um health benefits are equal to half. Is that correct? >> Yeah, that's the way it was set up. That's right. >> It was for employee only. >> Correct. Right. or single >> signal. >> Okay. >> And the retirement, Mrs. Sidler, do you want to speak to that? >> So, the retirement is based on the salary. So, it will be based on whatever that salary number is for that individual based on the schedule that they're hired under. >> That that's standard though. >> So, whatever wages you are paying, you have to pay their full retirement against. >> Yeah, I understand that. >> Yeah. So even any part-time person gets >> any school employee is going to be in pieers. Yeah. >> Is going to be
036in peasers. So what part are you objecting to? >> Well, I want us to consider um the health benefits, the uh some time off here, um sick days, vacation days. Um, >> so this cover the sick days and vacation days, although it looks like full days, those are based on their half day status. So they would take, >> okay, >> I'm just saying typically part-time people don't get >> so >> these sorts of benefits. >> School code requires 10 sick days, so we cannot budge on that. >> Okay, that's good information. >> The two personal days would be an item that could potentially change. >> That's helpful. Can I question the impetus of the creation of this? Um, as somebody who's ignorant to it, >> so we need to hire a halftime music teacher for
037next year. >> Ah, >> and we do not have any halftime language in our contract currently. >> Gotcha. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Our our budget and our scheduling doesn't support a full-time teacher at this time. So, it was a huge compromise to try to make this work. We did not want to sacrifice music education. Um, but the budget wouldn't allow for a full-time teacher. Presently, we were hoping to share the position with Johnsonberg. We had done that in the past and um that was not able to be worked out due to some contract issues that Johnson was having. That could still potentially work out. Um, that's not out of the question yet, but but we need to move forward so that we can fill our schedule. >> Understood. Thank you. >> So, Paul, after hearing
038everything that can be and you know that can't be touched, I guess >> we're looking at items four, five, and six. I believe >> the medical coverage. >> Yep. Pretty much >> the HSA and the dental coverage. >> Yep. Yep. >> Well, I I can see where it's it's helping the district out um by having a half day teacher than a full day. So, why would we want to take their benefits away from them? Be tough to attract a candidate to to do that. >> Well, we wouldn't be taking benefits away from them because it doesn't exist yet. This this position will be established through this memorandum of understanding. >> Well, if we could get someone to even take the >> and and that's speculative. Uh we don't have any empirical evidence to say this
039person is not available uh because we haven't attempted to hire them yet. So I I don't know. And and that that's a good concern. That's the sort of thing I'm asking for input on. I think we need to consider these things. >> I'm not opposed. I'm just saying let's think about it. >> Right. I think your points are well taken to discuss it and to make sure that we're all clear about what we're offering. >> Yeah. >> Um >> most most other part-time positions in other fields I don't think would expect to get full benefits, >> right, >> to take on a part-time position. No, but sometimes they offer different perks as well. So, um I think this is why we're offering a perk in the health benefits because often times in in like the
040medical field, they do offer different perks that make it um economically more enticing. And when you're not dealing with a collective bargaining agreement, you can advertise a job and then you get candidates and you can negotiate with your candidates and find out, well, this is what the market dictates >> and do that. When we're working with the collective marketing agreement, we have to kind of guess. >> And I think that's what we're up against. So, I think for this first go, we really want to hire a music teacher. We really would like to see that program um be filled. So, I'm guessing that when they worked on this agreement that they were trying to make it attractive for somebody to consider part-time work because I think there sounded to me like when we were discussing
041it that there was um a big concern that they wouldn't get anybody. Then we'd have to wait for another board meeting to approve a different umou. >> Then we'd have to revertise under thatou and then we're looking at the middle of summer when a lot of candidates have already accepted positions. So I'm I'm speaking on >> those were all our considerations when we were doing all of this. Yes. So the other thing that comes into play too, Paul, is we have so I look at it as we have made a step down because if this were a full-time teacher that we were hiring, they would have the option of choosing a single coverage or a parent an employee parent and children coverage >> which would be significantly higher than the single coverage. So we said
042single coverage only. So whether this person comes in and has children doesn't matter. The the the only level of coverage they can choose is single level coverage. >> And so that is a lower level of coverage than our full-time people. Correct. >> Correct. Yes. >> And half half pay for the HSA. They'll only get >> they'll only get half of the HSA money. So our contribution for that is half of what a typical single coverage individual would get. And we also I I do know that there are other districts who have halftime language that offer full-time benefits >> in their neighboring districts. So we would be less competitive if we offer nothing. um >> from that perspective. >> Yeah. All these all these things matter that helps inform the decision. Yeah. >> Right. >> So
043>> I mean I think you did a nice job with this first go around in trying to work out something because the other thing is is that no matter what the union does have to agree to it, right? So, I mean, we could try to say we're not going to do some of these things, but then the union doesn't have to agree and then we're stuck with the decision of hiring a full-time person or no one. >> Or no one. Yeah. And so I think that's where um it's important that we stand behind the music and the arts program and do the best we can.
