Appreciate it very much. and move on to superintendent report. David, >> yes, I'd like to request that I not go after Cameron every month because she is so good at what she does and mine just doesn't sound as much fun. So, we'll change the order next month. How's that? Um, well done, Cameron. Um, some uh recolades I'd like to hand out. Uh, the all academic team award is now out for the winter sports. Some student athletes, um, those of you that didn't have a chance to go to the crazy event, and it's huge, the uh, wrestling tournament, the district 3 wrestling individual tournament on Friday and Saturday. It's an event like no other. Um, it's crazy. The organization of it is over the top. The attendance, thousands of people from all across District 3 and it is quite a remarkable undertaking. And I know many of you were there. I saw you and um it it was quite quite um enjoyable. Um congratulations to all of our wrestlers. There were nine actually district qualifiers. Of those
nine, we were able to place um four or excuse me, three at states. Ezra Henning, um familiar name as I look over at grandma over there. Ezra Henning um was placed third and he will go to states as will Chase Amsbacker also placing third and Cam Hershey who's only a freshman is going to states and he placed fourth. So congratulations and to the others. Um also on a side note, Ezra and Chase were also winners of the district three scholarships for being outstanding students and athletes and that was a special recognition. Um they also recognized um Cody Becker. Um they inducted him in the hall of fame and it was a very touching moment. Um they went through basically his bio and Jordan and the family was there and um you could hear a pin
drop and it was an immediate standing ovation when they announced that he was going to be inducted into District 3. That was quite a special moment. Those of you that were there sort of sort of chokes you up. Um some big 33 accolades that as you know is the sort of the game that's held in May the Pennsylvania Super Bowl of high school football and cheerlead. 013all of these folks will receive a letter on your behalf congratulating them and letting them know that they were recognized at tonight's meeting. That's my victory. Well, thank you very much and uh congratulations to everyone that was listed from sports to music. Uh correspondents, I do not have anything at this time and legislative report. I'll turn it back to you. >> Thank you, sir. Um as you know, I don't bring things here unless it's pretty much a done deal. You have all these House bills coming through and you have all the Senate bills and many times they don't get together. So there's no sense in working ourselves into a frenzy until we sort of have a little bit more bipartisanship. One thing that is a bipartisanship law that was signed by the governor um in
February is the cursive writing um law which now requires all Pennsylvania students in both private and public schools to be um taught how to write cursively. Um, Pennsylvania joins 18 other states in that clause and um, we uh, don't presently have a formal curriculum and as I was talking to Dr. Guadanina, our instructional leader in the district, um, one of the things is we have not received any information as to how this is supposed to be implemented and the deadline is April 12th. So we think um, that as the time goes on uh, PTE will come out with regulations as to how this law can be put in place and we will do everything of course according to law if not more. So that's the only piece of legislation that I have for you at
this moment. >> Question, do cyber school students have to do it. >> It's not listed. It's private and public school students and I'm sure Dr. will get clarification as to whether that's private cyber school or >> right. I don't know. We don't >> I wonder. Yeah. >> Technically cyber schools are public schools. So I would if I had to guess, I would say yes, but I don't we'll we'll believe that when we see >> that'll be fine. And yes. Okay. Thank you. >> Well, thank you. Thank you for your report. Um, we have your county school of technology report. Now, I know Mike's not here, but Rodney, do you >> Their meeting is not till this coming Thursday, but I will let you know they did put out a memo that the board is going
to be discussing the budget again because it did not pass. >> Thank you very much. And we have York Adams Academy. >> And I have no report because we're meeting tomorrow evening. All right. Well, thank you both. And we have approval of official minutes. This is from February 2nd and February 9th. So, move second. >> All in favor? >> I I have a question on that one though. Could I do that? I just picked it up here tonight and uh on the building the ground mark on February the 2nd, it said in here where it says about the we're talking about the access road. It says we're going to apply for a minimum of $500,000 uh funding support. Is is that minimum? >> Project has to be a minimum of $500,000. So we will apply
for the project to be a minimum of $500,000 and we can get 50% of whatever the total is. Correct. >> Correct. the it's not we're not applying for a minimum of 50,000 $500,000. >> Parameters for the for the grant were that the project in total had to be $500,000 at least and the grant would cover 50% of what the total amount of the project was. So, right, if it's a million dollar, we're applying for half of that. >> We're applying for the most amount of money that we can get. The the process will be as long as the project is over half a million dollars, >> we apply. If we get approved, we'll get a proposal. >> That proposal will come in front of us. We can vote on it and half of that will
be done. But the project has to be a minimum of if it's 500,000, it's 250 from us and 250 from them. >> Way it reads there, it sounds like a minimum of $500,000 in grant funding. >> Let me just get clarification on that. Um, >> sorry. I should I just didn't pick it up earlier. I would ask that sooner. Sorry. Do you hear the meeting? >> Yeah. >> Mhm. Well, while Mark is finding that, we'll move on to treasures report. Ben, >> treasures report for the month ending January 2026. >> General fund balance 32,834,000. Nitionrition service fund total 1,499,000. Capital reserve total 1,517,000. Bond fund total 7,868,000 and student activity funds 192,000. So moved on budget and finance our treasur report. Thank you. Go ahead Mark. >> You want to want to vote? >> Yeah.
Go ahead and get a second. >> Second. >> Do I have a second? >> Any questions? Roll call vote. >> Sharon. Yes. >> Yes. Wilson. >> Yes. >> Okay. Thank you, Mr. White. So, what it says in the in the details for the funding are grants are available for eligible improvement projects with a total project cost of $500,000 or more. Grant shall not exceed $5 million for any project. That answer. Thank you. Sorry for the intrusion. All right. Well, thank you, Mark. Appreciate it. Uh, moving on, we have uh business finance reports, and we'll start with budget and finance. Ben, budget and finance board actions requested. Accounts payable list. Approval of the January accounts payable as presented 1 through 4. Budgetary transfers. Approval of the attached 26 budgetary transfers for the 2526 fiscal year. 2627
Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 proposed proposed budget approval of the proposed 2627 LII12 general operating budget with an increase of $311,523 which is a 3.14% increase compared to last year's budget and participating school districts contribution amounts being eliminated this year representing a savings to Spring Grove School District of $5,63. $3 which was paid in 2526. E- rate procurement of SGI cabling approval to contract with Assurance Media to replace the existing network cable with category 6A cabling in Spring Grove Intermediate School according to the terms and conditions outlined in the -ate network cabling proposal at no cost at a cost not to exceed $139,433 with an expected reimbursement of $97,610 for a net cost to the district of $41. $1,832 to be paid from the bond fund. Interim agreement with PA principles association. approval to contract with
PA principles association to provide interim special education supervisor services effective February 23 through June 30th according to the terms and conditions set forth in the attached agreement while continuing to search to secure an appropriate candidate to fill the vacancy at a cost not to exceed $510 per day and a resolution for public school facility improvement grant approval for marks to submit a grant to the Commonwealth Finance financing authority to be used to support installation of a secondary emergency egress road at the Springrove area high school. So moved on budget and finance. >> Do I have a second >> and questions? >> Question. >> You go. >> Um in D the rate procurement it says expected reimbursement is >> what does that what does expected mean? Chris question. >> Yeah, expected in that um if it's
approved, that's what we will expect to receive. Um it's not um it's guaranteed as long as the project is approved. >> Oh, I see. So when it doesn't mean that we we might actually just get stuck with the whole bill, but if we move forward with it, we will receive that. >> Correct. If we did if if we did not if if the board voted it down and we move forward, we would not get that amount. >> Got it. Thanks. >> Sure. >> Before you go, Chris, where where does the reimbursement come from? >> Uh it's federal tax money. It's um on the uh if you would look at your phone bill, there's a line in on the phone bill that I forget what it's labeled as, but we all pay for it. It goes
to this fund that schools um and libraries can pull from for projects like this. >> Thank you for that information. >> You're welcome. >> So, I have a question on C. Does that mean each of the uh you know for Spring Grove we're paying 311,523? So each school is responsible for that. Mark, >> no Mr. White. So the overall Lincoln intermediate unit budget that um their overall budget is you have to look at it in two ways. There's one that school districts have to approve and the one that we're approving is actually now this year zero. They eliminated that line item. They're overall increase to the LIU is that through 111 >> their overall and that's for all the district >> that >> right combined. Okay. I was just wanted clarification on that >> cost
that that the school district has to that that school district by public school code have to approve is zero. the increase next year just to the LU. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Just wanted clarification. Is there >> I had a question >> on the principles association. It says $510 per day, but when you look at the contract, then there's a little part that says plus 20%. Does that mean we pay $510 plus another 105? It's on um agentual fees >> for me. >> Is that their their fee for that? What's that >> for me? Okay, it's not Wow. Yeah, that's as much as uh Dr. Reynold's current. >> Yeah, finish this gig. I know what I'm going to >> Yeah, just kidding. >> It's all good. It's a pretty important position that keeps us out of
court. Any other questions? All a roll call vote. >> Ramsey, >> yes. >> Wilson, yes. Baringer, >> yes. >> Sheer, >> yes. >> Palm, >> yes. >> Stein White, >> yes. And thank you everyone for your votes. Uh just real quick moving on. Um I'm just going to say this. I I I think it's it's it's wonderful that we do, you know, subcontract people come out. Uh we did with HR with Mark um Holmes Homeman and the board had asked for him to review and give us some feedback while he was here, which he did a great job. And I'm asking, you know, uh we have uh Randy Payne here that's been helping with the elementary schools and before her depart, I would ask if we could have some clarification with her as far as
any recommendations with the three elementary schools. She's been overseen anything differently, anything we could obtain, anything we can use. And now we're adding um this young lady on hand to help with our uh um other departments and do the same thing. Receive some feedback of you know with our special education, our placement and the whole nine yards of you know what it can do to help us. So sometimes eyes on the outside uh can be beneficial to all of us using you know subcontractors. So that's all I have to say. Okay, moving on. We have buildings and grounds. >> Board action is requested. Add on to the walk-in cooler freezer storage. Approval to install new termination bar/water stop behind the walk-in cooler freezer storage at the high school. Install new counter flashing and apply sealant
between the existing retaining wall and concrete slab for a total cost of $2,950 using the bond fund. B. Waiver of rental fees, approval of the training leaders through athletics incorporated organization to be added to the attached list and be considered eligible for waiver of rental fees for during the 2526 fiscal year. So moved on buildings and grounds. Is there any questions? So my question is what is training leaders through athletics? >> So this is an organization that um is um it's been working with the school district for a number of years. um pretty much is what the uh the title reads. Uh they've been coming in working mostly with our our phys department as well as uh the u through uh department on training leaders u leadership program but with an emphasis of athletics. Um
currently they are going to be one of the occupants at the part of the YMCA building. um their program that is uh right around like a yearong program. It typically has started sometime in the early spring, but because of the delay with the YMCA, they're requesting to use some of the school district space um for their training program. Um and um part of it is that if they could use that space that it's uh basically uh um as many of our organizations that the district supports that at no fee to to this uh program. Um I would say once in I think it's at least once a year. Do you guys remember um Jeff Clouts being here and talking about a student program when we send students to Indianapolis for that program? So they kind
of do a mini version here in Spring Grove. a couple hundred kidsish. Bill, I'm looking at a lot. Um, that they bring in. They use our stadium. They use a lot of our gym. They do a lot of leadership courses and training. >> No, I was just curious. I was just asking. >> Okay. Any other questions? Oh, go ahead, Bill. >> Okay. And do I have a roll call vote? >> MC. >> Yes. Wilson, >> yes. >> Baringer, >> yes. >> Stein, >> yes. >> Balm, >> yes. >> Sheer, >> yes. >> White, >> yes. >> Thank you everyone. Uh, moving on, we have transportation Douglas. >> Transportation board action is requested. Item A 202526 Christ van drivers approval of the following additional contracted Christ bus company drivers for the 2526 school year as listed.
Item B, 2526 faithful van drivers approval of the following additional contracted faithful company drivers for the 2526 school year as listed. So >> second, >> is there any questions? Yes, Karen. >> Have we always had bus monitors? I see that number four behind the person's name said a monitor. First time I saw that too. >> Dr. Lewick has the >> me. >> Oh, >> yes. Thank you. Okay, any other questions? And then go to roll call vote. >> Archinger, >> yes. >> Ramsey, >> yes. >> Stein bomb, >> yes. >> Wilson, >> yes. >> Sheer, >> yes. >> White, >> yes. >> Thank you everyone. Uh, moving on, we have management reports. We'll start with policy. Rodney, >> policy board action requested. Second reading for approval of the second and final reading of the following
policies. Policy number 317, employees conduct disciplinary procedures and number two is policy number 320 employees freedom of speech. B is uh 2026 school calendar approved of the attached 2026 and the 2027 school area school district school calendar for the year 2026 2027 school year as discussed at February 9th director's study form C is donations accept and or acknowledge and accept the following donation in accordance with the board policy number 702 gifts grants and donation. And I thank everyone for them donations. They were very generous, a lot of them. So, so move. >> Is there any questions? Okay, moving on. May I have a roll call vote, please? >> Sher, >> yes. >> Baringer, >> yes. >> Stein, >> yes. >> Wilson, >> yes. >> Ramsey Balm, >> yes. white. >> Yes. And once again to
all the donors out there, thank you very much. Do appreciate it. >> And then we go to personnel. Nicole. >> A personnel board actions requested. Letter A, resignations. 034separate vote on D and E. >> So on D, you need a separate vote on one and two and E one and two. All right. Any other questions? >> Do we ever put the the amounts that are getting paid on any? Do we ever find that out? >> Yeah. So, we do have um we have a board board approved matrix for this. We can provide that. >> Okay. >> We wouldn't have that out there for the public to see. Okay.
