001There's a a few items that's on the the agenda and it's kind of give you give the committee an update of where we are and and then there's some of this and I told Von um really don't really need to just share with you when it gets shared it really needs to go we're to the point of it needs to go to the whole board right >> but I want y'all to kind of know because you you need to be aware of the projects we already have going as The first one is the high school partitions and doors. Um, this is also going to be discussed a little bit Monday at the safety committee. So, I'm not going to get into to very much detail with it, but with uh the partitions and doors, I
002I do have a drawing of of what Wool has put put together. We still have uh electrical coming in and and looking over things u and mechanical so that whenever changes come up they're they're ready as well. Our hopes is for this to go out to bid in November in or December. Um the the drawings are almost finalized. They're not there yet, but they're they're getting close. Okay. Uh the the second part uh is that the hope is for the work to be done during the summer of 26. So that would be this next summer. >> So the plan is bidded out November, December, work to be finished and completed in uh the summer of 26. And like I said, I do have the some of the but it's hard to tell because it's so
003detailed and it's not on u your normal blueprint drawings. It is was sent to me by computer. Uh is there anything that y'all would like to see on this or um we don't have a price. We don't have a a budget as far as how much it's going to cost yet, but I I have a feeling it's going to be it's not going to be real cheap. I don't know a better way to put it. It's not going to be real. Uh Von, is there anything else that you would like to add with this? Because I know y'all Jacob's been mainly the the drive on this one, but >> Yeah. And Jacob is uh he's coordinating with the engineers right now on what the the pricing is going to be. The biggest issue for us
004is, you know, you're going from a demountable partition building, which is essentially a big giant room because all the air, lights, mechanical, all work together, to dividing those rooms up by putting walls and corridors in. So, we had to make sure that from a code standpoint, you could exit the building. And we've got that all figured out, taken care of. So now the the real coordination is how do we get the the air and the electrical to work with the new corridor systems that are in there which is is pretty close. Um engineers are giving very conservative budgets meaning they're putting more in than probably what it's going to cost just to make sure that they're they're not leaving you short on that and then Jake's going to compile all that next week and should
005have a price together by the time you have your safety. >> Very good. Is is your plans van are they going to be pretty much to whenever you do have the plans are they going to be like detailed drawings like is your that's not detailed drawings there though >> this is this is where they are uh there's a lot more here than what yes there's going to be more to it yes >> okay >> there'll be a combination of of some detailed drawings and some performance-based specifications just so that we make sure that we're getting the best price by giving the contractor's options for looking at things and having them ask questions and saying well if we did it this way if we did it that way would it work our our number one is
006it has to meet code obviously uh and then we just want to make sure that uh we're approaching it I wouldn't say design build but almost from that type of mentality where it gives them more flexibility in how they they bid it so we get a good price >> well we're down to feet you know whenever we're doing the the drawings it's it's going to be in feet and down down to the feet and uh yes Okay. >> Y >> Okay. >> Unless you want to do in metric. No, I'm just kidding. >> No, no, no. Well, you know, tents sometimes whenever you do tents, it messes people up, too. So, >> that's true. >> Okay. Any other questions? >> No, >> that's it. >> We'll move on to the next one, which is uh
007East Coffee and Hickerson building and renovations. Uh and and we actually uh Von has gone through and and changed up and and changed up the presentation that we are looking at going to the county commission with um with us. We we do have a budgetary number now. Uh and I'm going to read those off to you real quickly and you're welcome to to write them down. Uh East Coffee, the Renault with the three sections. uh looking at 22,615,000. That is the change and it went up of course because we went from the two sections up to the three sections. Uh then also for Hickerson the new build with the four sections if you remember we had a it was for the new build but it wasn't for four sections with the four sections. 46,230,000. And
008so the total between the two is 68,845,000 is right now what we would be going to county commission with. >> All right. Can we have a copy of that that what you're reading off of? >> Uh this is actually just my notes. >> Can we have those notes? >> Not this page. No. >> Can you make us some notes that's got all that on it for Mr. Short? Yeah. if you don't mind. I appreciate that that we put all that have all that on it. >> Okay. >> All right. >> And can you see can you see the screen? Okay. >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> So, I just I don't want to go through this in detail, but I wanted to show you uh when you meet with the county or or if you'd like
009me to help you with that, I can meet with the county. What we did is we took all the different slides of kind of what we've been studying and pulled out the relevant ones so we can explain. Um, we looked at all these different pieces so that we could determine what the um, what the nature of what was needed would be. We put in the harpest stuff, but I very specifically focused it just on where they said uh, the area around Hickerson, we can anticipate growth so that it would back up why the four section is there. Um, looked at what the buildings would be. Talked about even if you did a three-section model throughout the district, you'd have to do extensive boundary readjustments to make that work. and you still potentially will have the
010issue with Dickerson. Showed where the buildings right now are below in square feet and why this is needed. >> Um showed what a space program would be for a four section building to establish what that number would be. Talking about security analysis, showing the two sites that we looked at and then um uh I'd walk them through that design diagram for if we looked at what would a new elementary ideally lay out like so that they could see East Coffee works for that. Hickerson would work, but with the issues at Hickerson, four sections not really going to make sense there. This is the justification slide for why you made that recommendation. Showing them what post construction would be like where all of your spaces with a new building would be the right size and then
011giving them the diagram of a three-section east coffee on the site as well as a new building for Hickerson. Obviously, we don't have a a concept for what the new building would be, but it shows how it would fit on the site, how we would build it and allow for phase construction to happen there, as well as the backup for what the dollar amount is that we're looking at and a justification that shows that even if you did a four section addition at Hickerson and dealt with the issues, you'd be over 60% of what new construction would cost. And that's an industry benchmark for considering new construction, showing them what a design schedule and construction schedule would look like. and then opportunity for questions. So that's the concept is that uh it's just enough to
012give them um an idea of what it is that you studied, why you studied, and why you're asking for that. >> And also, Mr. Hansford, I don't mind making a copy of the the slides for you. It's going to have that information in it. >> Okay. >> And I was looking, you know, at the exact cost of it on on a plan, >> but it's going to be in here. >> Okay. And Okay. I didn't know that. And this is also would you say it's still in working order there? There's possibilities of some adjustments to this uh presentation. >> Uh yeah, absolutely. It's still still in draft format. We're trying I think those budgets are good with the um >> the qualification that we're looking at uh construction dollars out for 2026 uh um the
013end of 2026 27. Uh so if they delayed it for a couple years obviously you'd have inflation that went into so >> but but ultimately I'm always leerary of giving somebody's presentation out >> because if it's a chance of changing >> we understand that. >> So that's the reason why I want to mention it. >> Yeah sure. >> It's pretty close to what we do and mostly I just wanted to show we're we're thinking about how you present it to the county and so there's still room for suggestions if you say we don't want to show them that let's take this out or let's add something in on that. We can make those adjustments, too. But yeah, I'm comfortable sharing with the board, provided the board doesn't send it out to the newspaper and go,
014"Hey, why don't you run a start?" >> No, no, no, no. This is just for just for us. Yeah, >> exactly. Yeah. No, I'm comfortable with that. >> Okay, I'm going to move on. Any questions on that one before we move on? >> Okay, >> the next one is uh number three, and this is the Cardan Gerald Stadium building. Now, this is u a little bit newer that I don't know that if anybody's discussed it with you, it might be Mr. Harrove has uh but that's what we're bringing up next. And I do have packets for you on it. >> This is the This is the old locker room, right? >> Uh no, a little bit more than that. Just a little bit of the old locker room and and some more things with it,
015>> right? >> New ticket new ticket booth and >> Yeah. >> All that. >> Okay. looking at this one. There's several parts to to this one and we will get started on it. And uh Von is actually the one that that made out the pamphlet or the the presentation I just gave to you and u kind of give you some ideas what was discussed. This is actually something that that came up gosh probably four years ago >> and we had several irons in the fire at the time. So, this project actually was kind of set over to the side and decided when we're ready, we'll we'll pull it back out and go this direction because it is something that has been needed for for quite a while. Absolutely. >> Those other projects have actually been
016uh completed or in works and it's time to bring this one up. Uh what we're looking at is uh ticket booth. Um some some things with it. We're looking at some things with the concessions. We're looking at things with the visitor locker room. Um soccer locker room. Uh track locker room. Um so referees umpire not I mean >> referees >> officials I'm sorry. >> Uh their their room. Um, so there there's quite a few things that we're looking at uh to with this this project. And uh if you'll go ahead and we'll start with it. And uh Von, do you want to I'm going to let you go ahead and take off with it because you're the one that's been actually doing the drawings. Uh well, before before I I turn it completely over to
017to Von to start with this, I want to let y'all know that we met with the uh athletic directors at the middle school and the high school as well as the principal at the middle school and the high school to look at and decide what is it that we need, what is it that we truly need and trying to come up with a plan. So they they've been part of this and that's where this actually all got started. And after our meeting, uh Von and I actually went over to the the football field and started looking at things and and seeing how it could come together. And that's where the drawings actually started from that. And Von, I'm going to go ahead and let you have it now. Okay. >> Yeah, absolutely. And u you
018know, mostly what we're doing that meeting is trying to understand what all the needs were, get some of those preconceptions out there. Uh if you can see the screen um that gives you a good idea both from an overhead view of the stadium as well as looking at it from a drone view there. So you could see on the the image in the upper right your visitor side building there um has some unused spaces in it. It has a has a former locker room that's not used. Visitor toilets are used. It's got some track storage in there. So it's just kind of a um appropriate spaces and your uh home stuff uh wraps around the back side of the bleachers there. I'll also point out there are two power poles if you see them just
019off of sort of that plaza space down there on the bottom um left side of that that top right corner photo that have some significant power that um will have to be relocated for what we're talking about for some of the stuff but just for context on that. So um in looking at this uh and determining all the needs essentially what came up was um the visitor team mixed or sidebyside with the home team. It works, but it's not great. But you have other needs. You need a soccer uh team room. You need track locker rooms. Um you need a better ticket booth. You need um some additional storage. Uh and so we've got a number of different needs there. And we looked at well, how could we do this in the most cost-effective way
020to be able to accomplish this? And so, uh we're going to start with the visitor building. This is a plan of the visitor building with some diagrams on it. And the first thing that we would want to do is move that visitor team room from the home side over to this building. And the way that could be done is by taking the visitors bathrooms out of that front part and demoing that wall between the old locker room and this space and building it uh converting that essentially to a new visitor team room on that side, slightly smaller than what exists in the homestead, but still very workable uh toilets and showers over there. and then rebuilding the visitor toilets where the smaller concession space is in that building currently and the front half of what's
021track storage there. Uh it does result in a few less um uh holes per toilet, if you will, on either side, but uh still within what we would consider reasonable for visitor side toilets there. So, this would essentially then become visitor amenities. The visitor team could come directly off the bus into this room here. Wouldn't have to mix those two sides for concessions. the visitors would still have to go over to the home side, but that's very common as well. So, this is reusing that building. It doesn't require new footings and foundations. Doesn't require us building new exterior walls or roof. We could do this all by gutting and rebuilding the inside of this space. Second one, this drawing is a little confusing. When we were pulling up the drawings for the the home side,
022this is what the construction drawings show, but that's clearly not how it's laid out. And so, Jacob looked at it quick did some quick dimensions and said, "It actually lays out more like this." So, we just rearrange what those blueprints are so we can make sure that we had good diagrams and and um and dimensions on this. Uh so, what we're looking at for this side would be first once you move that visitor uh side out of there, you can repurpose that visitor team room pretty much as is for your soccer team room. Boys are offseason from girls, so it works for either one of those and the visitor team just uses the visitor team. Uh the next thing you would do would be because we're talking about building a new concession area, convert concession
023to track or crosscountry locker rooms there with smaller toilets inside each of those spaces. So that space would work really well for doing that. Uh then to get uh track storage uh that's more appropriate than what it is over in that visitor building right now. You already have storage areas underneath the bleachers. Kel and I looked at that and said you could easily turn one or two bays of that into track storage. Even one bay provides about three times as much space as what you have currently in the visitor building. So that's a cheap alternative for building that track storage. And then that goes directly out onto the track as well. And then the final piece would be building a new building there uh on the parking side of what that plaza is. That would
024be a a building that would have a ticket booth on one side of it, an entryway between the tickets, and a new concession booth, concession windows that would open up to that plaza space much like the existing concession does. And then a new referee official space on there. And the way that would lay out on the site would be something like this. So that new buildings down in the lower right corner. Uh you convert that home side to home teams. Track storage goes underneath the bleachers. Convert the visitor side to visitors. And then we also talked about the option of replacing that chain link fence with maybe something that's masonry uh post between new fence line in there. You wouldn't need that ticket building anymore. You could demo that. You could leave it in place
025currently in the center because your new people would be coming in. And then I had showed the ads and coaches some reference um projects that we had done. We've done a number of different stadiums, but this was one that they kind of gravitated toward saying so we could do it out of masonry. That would be sort of that archway there would be how people would come into your stadium if you're doing something similar to that. Concession windows, you can decide how many you want to open up for that. Uh team rooms, not unlike what you have currently, maybe just a little bit of a refresh for what those team rooms would look like, but it's just basically bare bones lighting and uh and storage space inside. So, just a quick example of what we're basing
026the budget on and the concepts on for this. >> Those those ceilings on that side over there, Von, they're pretty much drop ceilings anyway, aren't they? So, it just be putting in uh the different lighting. >> Yes. Yep. >> So, that kind of worked in y'all's favor there, didn't it? >> Yeah. >> Exactly. And and like I said, we're, you know, if if everybody had their brothers, you just build all new spaces because new spaces are nice. But we're trying to keep this as low as possible and just reuse as much existing as possible because that would also expedite the construction. One of the things that was asked was, could we get this done by next fall if we start going on it right away? We could, you know, we gota again got to bid
027it and make sure that makes sense. But the nice thing is, uh, we could be working on that visitor building during the track season in the spring without any issues. uh new construction of wood frame or even metal studs like this for that type of building wouldn't be too difficult to do. Uh moving those those two electrical uh service poles out of the way. Want to make sure that we get that done uh first and foremost to be able to do this. looking at the um um the layout for the new concession and ticket building. Um basically still looking at two windows for tickets. >> I think it was either three or four, wasn't it? >> Yeah, we we could get up to three or four in there. I mean, and all this is still
028to be decided. We assume let's see if you want to do four. Let's assume we're doing four in there. You could even put ticket windows on both sides of that to help with the flow of space. uh people going in and out. We like one archway going in because it it really defines, you know, who's got a ticket or doesn't coming in and out of that area and makes it uh formal, but u there's lots of ways to do that. >> Okay. >> Very nice. >> I like it. >> Good concept. >> Yeah. There's a lot of uh schools around us that's already got this. So, one of them is our neighboring county. So it's the referees, you know, locker room and all that they've already got. So we we're trying to keep up with
029the Joneses. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Are there any questions about this >> during during this? Could uh got any plans to refresh the bathrooms? That's already happening. Oh, okay. All right. >> I didn't bring that up. Kelvin and I were talking about that. We had originally said, "Well, we should probably take a look at those home bathrooms." And he said, "Nope, we're already on that. That's already in the works." So, >> okay, good. Cuz because they're a little they're a little uh >> just saying little past you. Just just saying. >> Is this a project y'all and is this is not a vote type thing that y'all want to continue to go moving forward with? And >> I think so. I think so >> because I think we're it won't be long we'll be getting
030to that point of >> doing drawings and uh and we might have to do a vote for the drawings and and so forth from W and then then next would be actually bidding it out. >> Yep. I think it's something that's overdue and and I mean it'll definitely help you know the flow of getting spectators in and out you know and that's a I know with the you know the the coffee pot game you know there was people still trying to come in at halftime you know because it was lined up and we just didn't have enough ticket booth room. >> This is actually If we're able to keep moving forward with it and and get this implemented, it's going to take care of several things that is needed. >> Several issues, >> several, not
031just one. It's there's a bunch of things that that I think it's going to make a difference with. So, all right. Uh we'll we'll definitely keep on moving with it and so forth. And Von, I other than the athletic lighting, that's pretty much the things that you were >> Yep. As always, I'm I'm available for questions. Uh Kelvin knows that all he has to do is a phone call or email and I'm on it. So there's anything that comes up, let me know. >> All right. >> Thanks, F. Or you listen or I know you're busy. I'm sure it's going to be I'll probably go something else. >> Thank you. >> All right. Thanks, guys. We'll see you later. >> See you. Okay, moving on to the next one, which is a maintenance equipment shed
032and fence. Uh over at the the maintenance department, there's a section if looking at the if you're looking at cost to the right, there's a triangle area that is >> right now. It's got a few surplus buses. It's got some surplus things in it. It's not being used utilized. One of the things that uh Mr. Turner and I have talked about is we're both very big on taking care of our assets. >> Uh we we have we have tractors, we have bush hogs, we have mowers, we have all these different things and we need a place to go with them to keep them in in the dry during the winter time and so forth. So, we we were talking about the possibility of of trying to to build a an equipment shed that can house
033these things. And we're looking at the possibility of a 40 foot by 60 foot and that it would be our maintenance would be the one actually doing the construction. Our guys can do that kind of work and and save us a whole lot of money. Uh the last time I looked in our um in the laws, we're allowed to do those build that type of thing. Um maintenance went and checked on it the other day and came back with a price. A building package just for the building would be about $17,488. And that was going to one of our local businesses. >> Is that a steel frame or or wood frame? >> Wood wood pole building. >> Woodpole building. >> Wood pole building. >> Just down the street there. Mhm. Is that where you got
034it? Okay. >> Yes. >> Uh woodpole building. Now, that's not including a fence. >> And of course, we know whenever you start building, it can go a little bit more. So, I I put basically between 174.88 to $20,000. Uh the fence is going to be kind of expensive because it's going to have to be more than a 4ft fence. It's got to be about 6 foot about the same as what's around. U you'll have to run electricity to it if you're going to have lights in it, >> right? We will have to get the electricity to it. There's a couple things we still have to get figured out. This is just your basic building package. >> Is that going to be an enclosed building or is it going to be open on >> Well, we
035we talked about doing a a three-sided building. We've come to the conclusion and talking with uh our maintenance guys. They feel like a full close is going to be a lot better for it. >> I think I think it would be too. >> And so we're we're looking at probably two two large garage doors. >> Of course, you're going to have your walk-in door as well. 14T >> um >> 14T doors >> probably 12, but we will check on what we need. >> We we'll look >> 14 would be better, I think. >> Well, we're looking at a uh 14t high building. So, you're going to start running into a struggle with with the height of your building uh if you you go 14 foot. So, 12 feet is is a pretty good >> You
036talking about height or width? >> Height. Yeah. >> Yeah. That So, we were looking at 12 Uh but basically it's it's just more than anything protecting our assets. >> Um and then also it will clear out some places in the maintenance department where they can do fabrication and do the work that they do regularly anyway because right now they're being storage units. >> I know the section in between maintenance transportation and the cost center it's uh it's pretty much packed full. There's a >> and I know years ago that they did some fabrication in there, but now it's it's tractors and everything else. >> It's putting things in, taking care of. So, um, what do y'all think about taking this on to the full board? >> I think I think we need it. I think
037we we've needed it for a long time, I think. >> So, okay. Uh, that that will probably be on the next board agenda. Uh the the card and Gerald will probably be as well on the next board agenda, but it be for the designs from wool >> on that building. Kevin, are you we talking about putting a concrete floor in it or just leaving it? >> Right now, we're pl just gravel. >> Gravel. >> Yeah. Right now, because concrete of course is a very very pricey. It's it'll cost us probably as much as the building will almost. I don't know, but you get what I'm saying. It's going to be high. >> Yeah. >> And I think we're going to be okay with the rock. And if we come back and we realize, hey, we
038messed up, we can add the concrete later. So, we need to make sure we >> The thing is, I mean, you put you put good base rock in and use it for a little bit, you come back and fill it full of crush and run and for that concrete. >> Yeah, it's like concrete. I mean, for all intents and purposes, what it's going to be used for, >> right? Okay. I'm going to move on down to number five. Uh number five, there's we have several HVAC units in our system that are R22 units. Now, past past AD administration and before, they've actually changed multiple times on what we're able to use for Freon. Uh currently there is a propane based freon that is approved by the EPA that we can use. Uh the R22 it's
039hard to find. If you find it, you're getting ready to pay a lot of money for it. >> Expensive. >> Um the the units that we have left is we have uh athletic facility at the middle school. We have office at the football facility at the high school. We have the crime lab and classroom at the high school. Uh Hillsboro, the entire new wing, which is the kindergarten wing in that area was built 11 12 years ago. There's 15 classrooms there that have the barred units in it. Our library unit at the Hillsboro has got it, which is still that same wing. Uh room 123 has a package unit's got it. principal's office, cafeteria, new addition, bump out. There's a bump out there. And then at Hillsboro, room 113 has a PTAC unit in it.
040What? So, we have several units. We're actually up to approximately 23 to 25 units. That's R22. If we went and try to change those all at one time, it's it's going to cost a small fortune. My suggestion is we start working towards changing out five to seven units a year until we get through them. Doing the worst ones first and and then work our way through it till we get all these out. Um and it's it's one of those things. It's not a a pretty thing that somebody's going to come by and see, but it's going to make them feel a whole lot better when it goes out and you can't get to the parts or the freon to fix it. So, >> so we're looking at replacing the units themselves. Yes. >> Instead of
041just converting them. >> Way I understand the age of the units would be smarter to go ahead and and change up the units. >> Well, you know, good rule of thumb, if you get 10 10 to 15 years out of a unit, then you've got your money >> pretty good. >> Yeah. >> And we're already >> So, so we're we're already there. Um, but it once again is it is going to be pricey, but if we start doing it now and and ease our way through it, I think we're going it won't hurt our budget quite as much as we had to hit them all at one time. >> How many did you say? >> I was thinking about five to Are you talking about how many total? >> Yeah. How many total? >> There's
04223 to 25 of them. And uh and like I said, if we do, you know, if we do five to seven, it's still going to take us a little while to get through them all. >> Still looking at five years, >> right? >> Yeah. >> It's going to take a little bit. But, uh, if we do the worst ones, then those others, I'm hoping that they'll last till we get to that fifth year. If you want to say, >> you you know how old our oldest one is, maybe? >> No, I couldn't tell you. Um, if you think about the athletic facility, if Robert was here, he would know when that was actually built. Um, that's probably >> which one? What's that? >> The football locker room. >> Yeah. >> Football, baseball, and softball at
043middle school. That that hitting facility stuff >> at the at the middle school. >> Yeah. >> It's I don't know if it'd be the oldest one. >> He was in 10. I bet Hillsboro is probably the oldest when that that whole wing was built. >> I don't have the information right. >> No, I understand. I didn't >> I want to say it's 2008 right there. >> I was thinking around 10. >> 8 to 10. >> So you're looking at >> 17 years old already. >> That's what I was saying. Way we're way over >> way over what we what their their life expectancy already is. So, >> so that that's a a change out and um but that that any questions about those units about the HBAC. Then the next one I I put it
044on here. You know where we are. More than anything, I want to let you know we have athletic field lighting and that's a monstrous one. uh everything's been on order and and contractors take started um but we're waiting on materials to come in and that was a 1.5 and I put that on there because understand we've got some big projects that's that's coming down and I just wanted y'all to be aware of those and just a reminder I guess more than anything >> and if you have any questions about the athletic field lighting please you know ask but we we've got enough stuff going on that we we don't want to add too many more things. >> No, absolutely. I mean, I've already had >> some questions on how much money we're spending already, but
045it's very u needed. You know, we've already got the uh the bleachers done, which a lot of people's excited about that basketball season coming up. >> Picture I saw of it, it looks good. They they turned out really >> the bleachers over at the high school, they look really good. >> They they look good. A lot of the elderly people we'll say is more excited about it. So they're not being able to uh not having the access of potentially falling anymore and having something to grab onto. So that was a big big, you know, >> a much needed improvement. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do y'all have anything else that you want to bring up with capital projects? Any questions or anything? I think >> the only question I got is you know talking with Van
046did he have any idea budgetary what the Cardon Gerald you know we'd be looking at I mean >> right now two to 2.5 >> for for that work I mean I don't think that's that bad for everything that'll be >> that'll be done >> it's not just the building, >> right? I mean, it's all the renovations. >> You got to remember, and I we got to make sure everybody understands that when we're talking about it. We're talking about multiple things going on here. >> We haven't done yet. I'm sorry. >> Oh, I was going, you know, I was kind of thinking more along the lines of five to six for for everything that they showed, you know, but that I mean, that would be I think that would be money well spent. We haven't done
047anything except for the bleachers in 50 years, have we? >> What over there? >> Well, the home >> Yeah, we did home side. >> Yeah, the home the bleachers, but we didn't do anything on >> Well, is it include the custodian and locker rooms and so there there's quite a bit that was done and that was in 99, I think it was. >> So, there's been quite a bit done. It's just >> But we're talking about >> it's going it's going to be a big facelift to that place. >> Face lift. >> It'll look good. it needs it because it's kind of I mean when you first pull up there it just it it don't look very very nice you know just putting a the fence along the front will really make a change >>
048it will make a change and and and other things that actually have has taken place there is before my time here is the the parking lot there >> um that was all gravel if you remember not that long ago >> um the track was added on to we we increased it by two lanes which made it quite a bit bigger. So there there's been quite a few things actually take place there. We just you forget about it over time and and it's been a few years. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah, I'm good with everything. >> Yep. Yep. >> Everything sounds good. >> And of course there are other projects going on but they're these are the large projects. very >> the ones I need to bring to y'all is is the the large ones
049here. So, u we we'll keep working throughout things that need to be done throughout the system uh as as goes, but these are all if you add these up, it it really adds up a lot, especially that East Coffee and Harrison. It's really big. >> Yeah. Speaking of them, um if everything goes accordingly, you know, we get the funding and whatnot, what what kind of um completion time roughly we looking at 27 28? >> I'm not the one that really asked. >> Oh, well, I mean, I didn't know if you had any idea. >> It would have been Bond. Um I have not asked him. Of course, it start by doing the the plans and drawing the plans, >> right? >> And what I've always been told and I usually whenever you start seeing a
050a shovel go into the ground, you're halfway done already. >> Yeah. Well, I mean I I just figured, you know, if it, >> you know, like Hickerson if I mean the East Coffee add on to it, you know, we'd be looking at it, you know, a two-year project once everything's approved or >> if it was my guess and I was just talking and once again, I I couldn't tell you for sure, I would say a two-year project once it's approved. >> Kind of what I thought. uh one year for all your planning and getting all the drawings, getting everything bitted out, >> all that part, and then another year for construction. >> That would be my my assumption. >> That's kind of what what I was I guess what I was wondering is, you know,
051we could get if we can get the funding, then, you know, we're probably looking realistically looking at a 27 28 school year before they'd be utilized. >> Be a 28. Yeah. 28 29. 28 29. >> Yeah. B 26 25 26. So, >> okay. >> Yeah, that would >> good question though. >> We need we need it. >> And like I had asked him about the Cardon Gerald. It would be nice if we were able to get it started have it ready for next season. >> Oh, type thing is is there enough time? And and like you heard him say, he he knew I brought it up and if we get if we get it passed and move on, we can >> well the thing about it that you know all that you know that has
052to be done before the start of football season whether you do it before next season or before the following season it's got to be done between the conclusion of football and the start of football like because I know like you said track and whatnot you can kind of work around that But football's >> football's a little more difficult. >> Football is where all you spectators are. >> I'm going tell you another one is is graduation. >> Oh, absolutely. >> You can't be messing with the middle of it. Electricity. >> No, >> because the big poles that he's talking about, >> that's where all the power comes. >> That's all the power comes in. And and also that's there's sewer right there too. The the sewer tank. So there's a lot to work with. >> Okay.
053If you don't have any other questions, I'm gonna go ahead >> if I could get a copy or I don't know if Chris wants one or not. >> We will and I'll look over this. If there's not anything here that >> Yeah. I just like to make sure I've got my figures right and and we're not holding it to anybody. We're not giving it to the newspapers obviously. We just >> we're just for our own >> Yeah. I I definitely run you that one. >> I appreciate that. >> Okay. >> Thank you very much. >> I appreciate that. >> This meeting is adjourned then. Thanks y'all.
