It's very frequent. >> It's really frequent. >> It's such a small group. >> Yeah. We're streaming. All right. How long was 2 minutes today? >> Always. I have 5:45 meeting to order. Please rise for a moment of silence. Please join me in stand. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Call. >> I will. Chair Laura Harrison, Vice Chair Jeremy Bernett >> here, >> Keith Actton >> here, >> Michelle Childs >> here, >> Deborah Thomas >> present. >> We do have a quorum. So I'll like to notice I'm not chair Laura Harrison, so I get to run this very brief meeting in her absence today. Um, having said that, um, this

is a special call meeting, so we'll only go through the things on the agenda. I have public comment. Is there anyone from the public who' like to comment? Seeing none, Dr. War, will you lead us through the rest of our agenda? >> Yes. The only item on the agenda today is LSS resolution 2026601, a resolution to authorize the execution of a contract with Moss Carpenter for the completion of campus projects. >> Uh take a motion to get this item on the floor. >> Second. >> All right. I'll move and second Dr. by Mr. Actton items properly on the floor. Dr. H, you have any discussion you like to present to us on this? >> Yes. this uh the projects that we're looking to address this summer are basically the turf grass, the actual grass uh

at Lakeland Elementary School on the main playground area. This is the side that uh is is visible from seed tick. Uh just over time there's been a lot of erosion. There's a lot of reels. There's some drainage issues that we want to get addressed. Uh so this would be a complete basically resurfacing. And I do want to say it is it is natural grass and not artificial turf as nice as that would be. Uh but so we we think it'll make a significant uh improvement in the drainage and safety situation back there as well. We've we've uh seen the orange construction fencing just to make sure students aren't somewhere where they might trip on the areas where it's it's been bad. Uh and then there's also two other drainage issues at Lakeland Preparatory School uh

at the baseball and softball complex complex, excuse me, uh that are interfering with the bullpen drainage and then also some erosion in the outfield of the baseball field. And so this will address all of them. We put this out for bid. We had a great response. Uh had four biders and the successful bid for the projects was $199,00060. Requested from the board a 15% contingency, which should be more than enough, frankly, uh for approval on this resolution. And if the board approves tonight, uh we'll sign the contract tomorrow and uh hopefully get them mobilized. >> Any discussion on this item? >> No, I appreciate it. you and I did our budget meeting. We walked the space at Lakeland Elementary and and it is in desperate need, I'll say, of of that work. So, I appreciate

y'all's timely consideration of this. >> Absolutely. Thank you. >> I did I did have a chance to review the bids. They look good and thank you for sharing that. So, appreciate that. Move to uh vote on this. You're ready. >> Anyone else? All in favor? I I Any oppose? Like sign. Item passes unanimously. 4 Z roll. >> No further items on the agenda. >> Take a motion. I'll move to that we adjourn. >> Second. >> All in favor? >> I. >> Any opposed? We are journed. Ask Chair Harris if she's done. Two and a half minutes. I say Eric wasn't here.
