Oh, yeah. >> Mhm. >> At this time would everybody please stand for the invocation and then please remain standing for the pledge of allegiance. >> [clears throat] >> Would you bow with me, please? Dear most holy heavenly father, we're so thankful, father, that you're our lord. And we're so thankful that you loved us enough to send us your son, our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Please, father, continue to bless us all. Bless this community. Please, dear lord, bless this board to make the best decisions for the students, teachers, staff of the school system. Father, we'd like to ask a special prayer at this time for the family of uh of It just It's tough, lord. We We've lost a uh a fine lady and uh Please please be with them. Comfort them as only you
can. Uh tomorrow will be a tough day for the ones she worked with. And just please bless everyone to pull together, love each other, hug each other, and and do our best to get through this. Go guide and direct us, dear lord, and bless us in everything that we do. For it's in Christ's name we pray, dear lord. Amen. Amen. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. For any that may not be aware of the fact that Mr. Fetherston's family and take some of them may not may not know him. I should probably shouldn't. Just wanted to clarify that. Thank you. I hadn't heard of We lost a very good one.
And I'm telling you the children loved that young lady more than I've ever seen anything. And she loved them. She sure did. They don't come any better than her. No, they do not. At this time on our agenda is the time for public comment. If there's anyone who's not already on the agenda or would like to make any kind of comments or bring any thanks toward the board, now would be the time to do so. Is there anyone that would Mr. Jones? Uh Is this what you were telling me? Okay. So, this is uh kind of a band? Yes. And Mr. Jones is going to address us first. Is there anyone that would like to also address uh uh You may know about what Mr. Jones is going to talk about. If there's anyone else
that would like to address that uh Could I get your name, sir? Alexander Reed. I'm sorry. Alexander Reed. Alexander Caleb Fetherston. Ma'am? Sherry Fetherston. It's S H E R I. Anyone else? I have a question. Sherry Fetherston. I I can tell he's still I don't think he Yes. Good one. Is there anyone else that would like to address any issues with the band after Mr. Joiner gets through talking? Okay. Uh now might be the best time to uh go over uh As you may have found out with the policy there on your chair, the board has had a policy for some years about uh uh people addressing the board and the time frame for that. And uh we haven't been going by that and we're going to begin going by that, I believe. Uh Is
there something you'd like to say? >> No, I'm okay. I I I was going to read this, but I think everybody in the um audience has a a copy of it, so it seems silly. It seems like reading practice >> [laughter] >> um to do that, but this is accessible on the website, but um just explains, you know, the procedures. It really The the the purpose behind the uh policy like this is to have so that you can get directly to the point, uh have your thoughts organized. It's You can say, ask, whatever you want. It's your 5 minutes. And and you know, uh when when you begin talking, I will hit my uh uh clock and when the 5 minutes is up, I will uh I'll say thank you. And if there's a uh
and we'll go on to the next [snorts] person. Okay? Uh is there anyone else that has any other thing that they would like to talk about other than band? Okay. Uh Next is the invitation for any artist member that would like to address an item on the agenda. There are several items on the agenda and we also have Ms. Hugley. I believe Ms. Hugley is here to address policy 1.500. So, if there's anyone here that would like to address that policy or anything else on our agenda, please raise your hand. I'll write your name down and when we get to those items, I'll be happy to call your name. No one? Okay. All right. Now, uh please look over the agenda and see if uh there's anything that needs to be changed on it and
if not, I would accept a motion to approve tonight's agenda. Motion. I have a motion by Rachel to approve the agenda for tonight. Do I have a second? I second. Second by Deanna. Uh any discussion? All in favor, please say aye. Aye. Any opposed, please say no. Okay. Next is our consent agenda. And as we talked about it at our work session, this is one of the longer consent agendas that we have at and it's always like this this time of year because of all of the budget amendments uh on the back page as you know, as you get near the end of the budget season, there's always things that you have to clean up, get get ready for your audit and that's why the majority of the back page is a budget amendments. Uh
but if anyone if any board member would like to pull anything from consent agenda, move it over to new business for further discussion, please let me know and we'll do that. Hearing none, would anyone like to make a motion to approve the consent agenda? I'll make a motion. Motion by Mr. Atwood to approve tonight's consent agenda. Do I have a second? Second by Chris. Any discussion? All in favor, please say I. Any opposed, please say no. We have approved our consent agenda for tonight. Uh school district highlights, do we have a school district highlight? We have a few assistant highlights. First, I would like to ask Miss Zoe to stand up, please. >> [clears throat] >> As you all know, Miss Zoe's going to walk across the stage tomorrow night. I was at practice with
her today and I'm still not sure I'm going to let you, but anyway, this is her last night at the board and I I think we can all agree that she has been an asset this year to the board. She's brought a lot of um student voice to us and we're really going to miss you. Uh but you are going to be leaving it in some good hands. But we wanted to present this plaque to you um in recognition of your service to the Talbott County Board of Education. CONGRATULATIONS, ZOE. HERE'S EVERYTHING TO PUT IT BACK IN. ALSO, um I have some moved around some people and hired some people today and I asked them told them if they wanted to be here I was going to recognize them and three of them came, but
I were supervisors that will be moving to this board and all this takes effect July 1st. Miss Pedrew, uh Demetrice Pedrew, she is coming from the elementary school principal. She has had a lot of service here and I'm excited to have her down here and I look forward to all the great things that's going to happen. Dr. Cecilia Stripling is coming down here as well. As you all know, graduation's tomorrow night and they're deep in evaluation activities, so she cannot be here, but she's excited to be here as well. Uh she's equally had several years of experience and she will be moving down here and also, so I'm excited to have those two join our team at the central office. And with that comes movement. Miss Kelly Porter has decided she's going to step up
and be principal, so I'm excited about that. And uh Ms. Jenna Cochran has, um, wanted to go back to the elementary school when an opening came up, so she is going to be Kelly's assistant. I think those two together are going to make a great team, and I'm excited to see what direction the, um, elementary's going to be made in. I don't know if any of y'all want to say anything, or No. >> [laughter] >> But, I'm glad they're here tonight, and you get to see their nice faces. Um, tomorrow we will be posting for the middle school and high school assistant principal positions left vacant because of them. But, I'm super excited to have this team, and see what's going to happen next year. Congratulations, ladies. Y'all have done great. Kelly, we're going to
let y'all off the hook tonight. But, as a principal, >> [clears throat] >> you know, we expect you to, uh, be a voice for the your school, uh, the school system, and, uh, this community. So, congratulations to all of y'all. You're succeeding a very, very fine young lady who overcame a lot when she took over. She had to clean up. She had to [laughter] She really had a lot to have to clean up there. It's kind of who she come by. >> [laughter] >> I'm just going to talk to Congratulations >> She's talking about your daughter. Congratulations. You spent many years there. Uh, it's probably your home. And, so it's kind of like going home. And, uh, so congratulations. And, the reason I went to this first was I thought some of you ladies may
have things to do. We're going to now go to Mr. Jones and the band, but I just wanted to kind of, uh, let let that get over with in case some of y'all wanted to, uh, to leave. You're welcome to stay. Leave Leave stay. Congratulations to all of you. Thank you. And, then just, it's not a highlight by any means, but I do want to, again, say to keep Ms. Feedback and her family in your prayers. I was at the high school today, and it's hard walking in those halls without seeing her smiling face because she was very, very helpful. She's going to be greatly missed. She worked over 30 years in the school system I found out today. So, I don't think anybody can replace her, but we will try at some point, but
just keep her family in your prayers. Not replaceable. So, we do have a report tonight? I do. >> Okay. Well, not right now. >> [laughter] >> Since you got an award, if there's anything else you would like to add when you speak, feel free to say whatever you want to. When you Okay. I'm not putting you on the spot this morning. You know, you'll have plenty of time. Perfect. Mr. Joel Owens. Go to the Yeah. Whenever Y'all, when I call on y'all, please go to the podium. Yes, sir. >> [snorts] >> My name is Robert Joyce, and for the last 24 years it has been my distinct honor to be the director of band at Transylvania County Schools. I work at Jim Satterfield Middle and travel to TCHS to teach the band class. I don't
want to be here tonight. Over the last 24 years I've tried to serve the students and citizens of Transylvania County with honor, dignity, and pride. I've tried to represent y'all across the state in multiple ways. We were fortunate to finish seventh in preliminary competition at the Division 1 State Marching Championship in 2018, and twice qualified for the Tennessee Music Education Association State Concert Festival. We won the Tennessee Small Band Association State Marching Championship in 2022. Between 2004 and 2020, every senior had received at least one scholarship offer. On my own time, I've gone to the General Assembly to lobby on behalf of this school system to get more TISA funding. In late January, I heard from some of the coaches at the high school is considering adding a fifth block to the schedule for next
year to get the athletes a strength and conditioning class. They were excited about it, and it is something that we have needed for a long time. One of the guys asked me if they were planning on adding band to the block, and I laughed because I knew that administration would have thought about the band. Um, so I still had not understood the bigger problem. By March, I had students who were trying to sign up for band room for next year, and they were told that they couldn't. At first, I thought it was being independent scheduling conflicts. Eventually, it became apparent that the class was being cut. Um, as of this moment, I have still not heard anything from the administration. This is nothing short of a disaster. Cutting instrumental music education from the high school
after 46 years is a slap in the face to the kids. It will have lasting repercussions. Without that class, we're not going to be able to continue getting the senior scholarship offers. To this point, out of eight seniors this year, none of them auditioned for scholarships, and only one of them would have qualified if they did. That one is a kid who had come through Lebanon City Schools, had band every day 6th through 8th grade, plus took our band class. In years past, every kid was placed in band class for at least three out of the four years of high school. We even had a jazz band that performed for the county commission when you hosted them in your efforts to obtain better pay for the teachers. That was in 2016, not that long ago.
Then COVID happened, and we went from a high of 49 7th through 12th graders in 2018 to 13 four years ago. During this time, band went from kids having it three out of four years to only having it one year, and many no years at all. I've worked hard and built the numbers back to 26 this year, but without the band class, their knowledge base is anemic. Post-COVID, the kids have been restricted to taking the band class only one year, if at all, and that accounts for the lack of scholarships. Scholarships require a base of music knowledge that cannot be obtained in only one year. This is not about marching band. This is about music education. We have no scholarship offers this year, no jazz band. I cannot teach to the state standards. Castlewood band
students no longer have the same opportunities as students from virtually every other school system in the state and the nation. Band class and band practice are not synonymous. The band class allows for higher ordered learning of music standards. Band practice is simply repetition of music immersion to get clean at it. We have no scholarships this year because the kids are not in the band class and many never took the band class at all and have scant musical knowledge. They're missing the fundamentals. Having band as a class gives our kids a much better chance of continuing on to college. It will give them a better opportunity to be successful there. Being in the band class makes it possible for our kids to attend honor bands. Honor bands reflect positively on Travis County and help prepare kids
for college. This gives the kids the tools to help them competitive. We have proven that we can be just as competitive as anyone else. In the end, it is an issue of fairness. Band and cheer need to be part of this new block. Band should not be eliminated. Band kids deserve the same consideration as athletes. Our scholarships are important, too. I understand the administration has a concern that this new athletic block is to be run by full-time teachers at TCHS. I travel from JMS over to TCHS for class. I've done this every year for 24 years. Suddenly this appears to be the issue of band. If there is the will to overcome this, there is a way. I've given up my planning period in years past just so we can have band at the high
school. In the end, the solution is simple. Place the band class in the athletic block. Although I'd be happy with any solution that yet that saves the band program. I will conclude by asking the following questions. Is it fair to have a class for the Caucasian kids but not for African-American or Hispanic kids? Is it fair to have a class for boys but not for girls? So, is it fair to have a class for athletes but not for band and cheer? And so, [snorts] uh please help us and save our band program. Thank you. Wait, that might be some questions. Mr. Jones, you don't need to take them all back here. That's right. >> [laughter] >> So, I'm not quite sure the I'll let y'all think of it in quite some time I had. So,
this is specifically at the high school? Yes, sir. High school >> And and you've had a class there for how long? Uh it it existed longer than I've been here. So, for 46 years they've had a band class. They started in 1980. And so, to my knowledge they've never not had a band class. And it used to be mandatory. You know, everybody funneled in and Well, really around COVID to now it's dwindled to Okay. Okay. Uh one of the things that Ms. Cochran has uh been starting with her administration, I guess is the best way is the desire to push decisions and things like that more to the principals and stuff. And that was with the encouragement of the board and everything. We even talked about that during the interview process with everyone that interviewed
for that position. And so, my question is, have you talked with Mr. McCollum? No, sir. It it I only you know, I expected by now and I'm I'm And he's a good man. Uh I mean, he's a friend of mine. But he I mean, for me to be the the last one to know and the only way I I learned it is from parents that that say, "Hey, I I was trying to sign my kid up." From the kids going, "That's weird. They said I had to take art and not me." And it took me a while to put it together. But So, you found out when the students were signing up for their classes for next school year. Yes, sir. Okay. >> And so, first I thought it was one, maybe two. And then
I realized, "Oh, it's it's everybody." So, and that's um I'm I'm disappointed, honestly. I would like to say one thing. And that is the block period was not built for athletes. The block period was built more for T cap. I'll be honest with you. Because we want more children being able to spend more time at T cap and open everything up. It was not built for athletes. Okay? I can 100% tell you that. All of us have agreed on that. Uh Now, as far as what you're discussing, uh I think you need to talk to the principal and let's work it out from there. You know what I'm saying? I mean but it was not built for athletics. It was built to give our children more options in other directions other than straight base learning.
And just to echo Mr. Atwood, >> [snorts] >> uh one of the things that we discussed when hiring Ms. Cotton, that she then discussed with the principals was changing the specifically at the high school uh the 90-minute block schedule Yes. uh in order to have the ability to have more offerings of different types of classes. And this provides I know Ms. Cotton, correct me if I'm wrong, but if I remember Mr. McColl's presentation when he talked about this, this will provide juniors with two blocks at T cap if they if they want that. It will provide seniors with three blocks at T cap. And and as Mr. Atwood said, it it it wasn't specifically set for athletics. It provided a means for that to be able to happen, but it was never discussed that it
was just for athletics if that makes sense. >> Right. Oh, yeah. That That makes sense. And so, I echo Mr. Atwood. Uh I think your first conversation is with Mr. McColl, and just I don't know if anything can, but just see if there's anything that can uh be Could be a scheduling thing. I mean, I've I know a little bit about scheduling, and it's tough. But, uh you know, just see what, you know, uh Go That's your first stop. And And honestly, normally, and you know, um I I like to do things quietly. I hate this more than y'all will ever know. But, at the same time, to not have not been contacted and just sort of find out drip drip drip, um I felt we >> You're right. That That's not professional. I can
promise you this board is not a big fan. Oh, I see. I can promise you 100% on that. No, I I agree. And it's it's it's really a lack of understanding. That's why I There's a difference in band practice and band as a class. Uh we're the only you know, like I said, any any school that that has that. And so, it's been harder and harder. And so, now, you know, I had a streak. I mean, we went 16 straight years. Every kid I even had special ed kid that I loved to death, and we got him a scholarship to college if he wanted that route. And now, um Y'all probably had more scholarships than sports combined. You got I know you had. But, it just And And I'm concerned it seems a shame that
it would die. Because it it really will become a problem. And but a lot of people don't understand that, but so Any other? Yeah. So, just so I understand, in the previous years, you have had a band class that is not just for band members. So, if somebody who is interested in playing an instrument wanted to come and learn, was that an option? I think what was it a band class or a music class? Well, it's it is >> Or I guess both of them, I guess. So, if if I were at any other school, let's say Macon County High, Wartburg, or any surrounding us, Waterville, Lebanon, Okay. you would get band one like your freshman year, band two, band three, band four. They would have it would be concurrent, so they would all happen
at the same time. Okay. And then you get four credits for it. And then there's four music credits, but you get four credits for it. Um and you would grow over that time. I mean, that's what happened to me and I was able to get a scholarship to college through through that. And so, that's the system that And now, if you um let's say your daughter wanted to uh take band in a couple of years just for fun or something, we would teach her on the side. The last couple of years I've had more non-band kids than band kids in there. So, we would do half the class would teach them how to play keyboard. Then half the class I'd work with my advanced kids and then teach them the things they needed to cuz
an hour and a half is a long time. So, we we try to make it work, but it's >> have a full number of students who typically want to If we put all the kids in, we should have 16 ninth through 12th graders next year. So, that yes, we should have been able to have a full class with cooperation. I mean, it's all I just need somebody to work with me. That's all I'm asking. Like I said, any solution for I'm not you know, I've given up planning periods and you know like I've done all this for >> you to do that. Well, but I've done it. I mean, 8:00 to 3:00 and then three or four more hours at this day, so Well, at this age it's getting harder to do, but But I'm
just letting you guys know that I'm willing to to meet you halfway and do whatever it takes. So, it's for the kids, not for the board. Other questions? Comments? >> [laughter] >> Um I just want to be clear that the role of the board, you know, >> [snorts] >> we didn't make this decision. We don't create these schedules. I've had two kids go through your program very successful. And so, you know, we have a little influence and and we're able to say, "Ooh, this doesn't look good. This is not a great idea." We never created the schedule. This is And this is also not within our power to [clears throat] change. So, but I I appreciate you coming and you all coming to bring this to light because that that's how change happens as we
bring problems to light. So, I appreciate that. Any other comments, questions? Again, I think your your first step is to schedule a meeting with Mr. McCollum. How about tomorrow? Well, he's probably going to be Or maybe Yeah, there you go. That's what I mean. Tomorrow's probably a bad day. Thank you, Mr. Jones. Please. Uh, Alexander. All right. Hi, my name is Alexander. I attend um, Tuscaloosa County High School. I'm a sophomore. Just graduated my sophomore year. And in these next 5 minutes, I hope to just give you all a little insight on what the band class has provided for me versus what would have not happened if I didn't. So, I first moved here in fifth grade from Nashville cuz my parents divorced. So, moving here, COVID happened. So, once I got into my middle
school years, I needed some guidance. Yeah, I wasn't doing too well. So, I decided to join the band. Through that, had a lot of physical and emotional output uh, younger. In elementary school, I had a lot of impulse issues. Decided to Once I got into band, a lot of that started to dissipate. I stopped needing therapy normally. And stuff at home started getting better. Once I got to high school, I decided to use it as a key to my future. When I grow up, I want to be an electrical engineer. I like it. I love it. Also love music. I want to minor in it. When I made it to high school, I was highly regarded as a pretty good player myself. I play seven instruments, but I love my saxophone. I Uh two years
out of the five I've been in band, I've attended Austin Peay's honor band, gotten second chair both times. Wow. And I've been able to participate in a lot of good auditions that could lead me to my future. Um Academically, I've been doing much better. I started from a B average student, made it up to nothing below a 94 so far in high school, a 4.0, and a 35 on my uh reading on my pre-ACT. And I just been able to use band a lot as a emotional and physical outlet, and use it to just solve problems. I tend to be really good in math. Talk about math. Music is much more math than a lot of people here can comprehend. It just really is. And taking the band class helped that a lot. During In
the band class, I would take the hour and a half to do a lot of practicing time that I couldn't do at home cuz it'd be night time or my baby sister was sleeping, you know, stuff I can't help or I had to attend church, stuff like that. And I just feel like if everyone If everyone in the band had the ability to do that, it would very much It'd help our program a lot. Right now, we're struggling with not even that the kids don't have the skills to The children aren't given the opportunities to get the skill. Uh same thing on our football team. I mourn for them. I love watching football, and I hate seeing the boys, you know, they come to school the next day saying they didn't win the game. So,
So got their athletic walk, and I'm happy they did. But then again, it's not y'alls choice. I know no one here probably wanted this to happen. But I the same way they're feeling, we feel the same way, you know. Last competition season, we didn't have too good of a year. Came last at a few competitions and scored well. Came home sad. But we got up, put our bootstraps on, came in the next day, struggled through it together, and I just kind of like the sense of community that we all have with each other. A lot of people have been able to get friend groups and have friends that they couldn't normally have because either they didn't attend the high school or they just didn't have the social skills. But in band, it fosters a sense
of, you know, everyone here is your family, your friend. No one doesn't dislike you or hate you. It's like no one's out to get you. Um the teachers and the school and stuff, they really they they like what we're doing. They see us in band. They ask a few questions, you know. Might might just be normal conversation, but they're trying to like get some insight, and I really appreciate it from them, you know. Everyone in the school building I appreciate. And especially Mr. McColl, he's been very very understanding these past few years, especially with our program and stuff, or when I come to him and ask him for something, he's been very understanding. Especially recently with Austin Peay, I went to go visit their music program for a day, so I got an excuse to
have them to that cuz of Mr. McColl. Um I just when I heard recently from a parent that we weren't having the band program, it honestly stunned it stunned me cuz in middle school, I was either going to go into mechatronics or band, but I ended up in band, and I was happy because of that. But then my on to my sophomore year, I didn't get band class because I was informed that we can only take it once, which kind of upset me, but I just got home and practiced and had to deal with it. But um hm >> [clears throat] >> I just The way the program's been going, if we keep the path we're on, I don't see a I don't see a steady slope up. I really see us as where we're
at and we just stay like this for a long time until maybe there's a change of program somewhere. But as a band student myself, I really appreciate Mr. Joiner and all he's done. I appreciate all the faculty that's been involved in it and helping me to get where I'm at now because with this um hopefully projected to do pretty good and you know get some good college stuff going on soon. Uh thank you for listening to me. I appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you very much. Really very very good young man. Very good presentation. >> And very well spoken. Thank you. Thank you very much. >> Does anybody have any questions for Alexander? I just like to say to me listening to you you're exactly what we want our extracurricular programs to do for our
students. And I mean you're a walking testament to that. And I'm sure you're not the only one, but I mean uh congratulations on being able to get into it in order to to a sport I was going to say a sport. It is kind of a sport. It is strange. I couldn't do it probably. And and making doing it real really well. Uh congratulations. >> Thank you. Anybody have anything else for Alexander? Thank you for coming. Thank you so much. Thank you very much. Hey. Um hi. My name's Caleb Featherstone. I've been a part of the band at this uh county for the past 4 years. I'm a senior. I'm graduating tomorrow. Um and out of all the seniors, I am the one that Mr. Joiner talked about. and I'm trying to brag, but I
am the one that he talked about that had previously went to Lebanon schools before my high school career and I was the only one who would have been able to get a scholarship for band and that's not hating on any of the others, that's just how it is. Coming from Lebanon schools when I was in middle school, I had band class every single day and we learned so many things that kept me on level on route to becoming a music major if I wanted to. Well, when I transferred here in the middle of the summer of my freshman upcoming freshman year, um everybody once I got to the band that is here now, everybody was stunned at the amount of music that I could play. I mean, within the first week, I was um we
have things called green pennies and starters and the green pennies are the younger kids that come up. Um I started as a green penny my first week. By my second week, I was a starter because of how well that I had played and come from the Lebanon schools and everybody was surprised at how well I could play. Well, the only reason I was able to play play that well is because of the education that I got from having that class every single day. And don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that we at least had some sort of a band class in high school, but only having it one day of the week, it it feels like it really hurt what I could have done if I had had it multiple days of the
week and especially only having it one year of the four years I was in high school where all the other high schools around us would kids would have it every single year like Mr. Dwan's had said, band one, band two, band three, band four. Um it just I truly do think that if we could put more of an emphasis on the band program as a whole, especially for the students like Alex had said. Some kids don't get the option to practice at home. They physically cannot. They have other things to do or their parents don't want them to practice at home. Sometimes school is the only option. And not only practice, as Mr. Joiner had said, that would also give them the ability to take what they're doing on their instrument and further it, not
only for the marching show that we have that year, but it would also take their instrumentation further and it would push them to possibly becoming music major, trying out, making the marching band, the concert band in college. Whereas right now, I truly don't feel like this band class is preparing kids fully for what they're going to see in college. Because in college, you're going to get band class every single day, if not every other day at least, and you're going to have it for your four years of your college. Um and I do want to say it has been a pleasure being in the band class, the one year that I had it. Mr. Joiner, I truly don't think I couldn't have asked for a better band teacher. Um he taught me pretty much everything
that I know about band outside of how to play the instrument. Um he taught me major, minor scales, all the things in between, music theory, stuff that would get me up to being able to play in a band in high school in college. Um and I know again that y'all don't make the rules on the schedules or anything, but I do hope that I could have um implored you a bit to some of the stuff that our band has done. Uh thank you for your time. We thank you. Thank you. Mr. Joiner, do you put do you do public speaking? No, sir. That >> [laughter] >> says a lot for you that you're That says a lot for you that you're graduating and speaking for it. Says [clears throat] a whole lot for you. Thank
you. Are you going to Are you Are you going to college? Yes, sir. I'm going to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Very good. I'll be in the pride of the Southland. right. Unfortunately not. Okay. I am hoping to possibly minor in music. Okay. At least you're not going to be an Irish. My son graduated >> [laughter] >> I'll tell you four years of tuition at that school. Your your music from high school will benefit you well going into into college. It's and then having two kids that freshman through senior year went through the band program, it is impressive what math skills they learn and performance skills, teamwork, work >> work ethic. Yeah, absolutely. Good for you. Thank you very much. I'm Sherry. Okay, now we've got two Miss Sherrys, so we're going to go with
the first Miss Sherry. >> [laughter] >> I My name is Sherry Featherston. Obviously you can tell I'm Hayden's mom. Uh I understand like you said that you don't make the rules on the classes that are at the high school, but as everybody before has stated, just so you give you some background and foreknowledge if it was to come to something you would have some say in more so. But like Hayden said, him coming from Lebanon to here, we we've lived here for over 21 years. My husband and I, but I've worked in the city of Lebanon and my husband worked there, so that's why he went to Lebanon cuz it was easier >> [laughter] >> going elementary school and back and forth. But uh he's been here since high school and the band program has
really helped him with the the discipline and the uh responsibilities and everything that goes with that. And just giving them giving the kids something to do after school to promote not getting into trouble. So, so they take up their, you know, time with something good and constructive. And the class the band class is very important. If the child is going to be participating in the band program, marching or the concert band. Cuz those skills if you don't have that background and the knowledge of the beginning of the music and all that you can you can do decent, but it's not going to get you up to the level that you could be. With it, you know what I'm saying? It just gives you those that foundation, so to say. And just the band class is
important. I know you you said that the the block is not was not done for athletics specifically. But there are kids that they're not athletically inclined and some aren't book smart or whatever to be in the other clubs and things that go to the different meetings and things like that, participate with those kind of competitions of the knowledge. But a lot of kids they do have the inkling they can play an instrument. But again, they need that foundation which comes from a band class. And Mr. Jones has been a great teacher. I appreciate everything he's done for Kaden when he was in his class and the band program itself. But I just wanted to speak as a parent that let you know that. I appreciate your time. You should be very proud. You should be.
young man there. Very good young man. If he's going to show up for graduation after he's graduating and by for what he's doing, he did a very good job. That's right. Do you have your tissues ready for tomorrow night? I've already had them. >> [laughter] >> I took off work tomorrow. So just for that. Oh, yeah. But yeah, I I appreciate y'all's time. Thank you. Thank you. Sheriff? Excuse my casual my casual dress. I didn't see you >> I've been walking Well, I've been walking around the cemeteries. So this is the the >> That's why I don't see you at the track. Well, this is the weekend that we put out flags for all the for all on all the veterans' graves. We Thank y'all for doing that. We We My husband and I for
almost 30 years now have been in charge of of the memorial flags in three cemeteries here in the county. We put out about 650 flags every year. I was doing that until the rain ran me off >> [laughter] >> earlier. So Um but as far as the band goes, I I just want to give you a little bit of a longer term uh look at it. Because our daughter graduated in 2011 and was in that band program under Mr. Doyins from 6th through 12th grade in the band class um that entire time because back then you could still take band class all four years. She has a work ethic that you wouldn't believe. Everywhere she goes and she likes to move around. So she's had several several jobs and uh everywhere she goes, she's usually
there about 2 weeks before they try to push her in a management program because of her work ethic. And a lot of that came from this band. The band class itself and and this kind of addresses one of the questions I believe that that you had asked a while ago as far as the band class and the the band class and the marching band are not the same thing. It's two completely different things. The marching band, people think when the marching band comes off the field at that last football game, they're done for the year, right? But they're still having band class all the time. They're having concert band and all of those things. So, our daughter competed in the honor bands that Mr. Joiner said had spoken about at Austin Peay and at MTSU.
And she did that all four years. And she gained confidence from that that she couldn't have gotten any other way. And she got that because of the band class, not because of the marching band. It's because of the class that they're talking about cutting. She is able to to speak to anyone anytime she needs to. She's very bashful young lady. I say young lady, she's 30 now, but uh >> [laughter] >> But she can she's comfortable in pretty much any situation that you put her in as far as working and being able to work with people and get along with people and all of those things that she had to learn through that program. And I understand that you don't set the schedule. I understand that you're not in charge of that at all. I
I am I mean, cuz you don't know, I'm chairman of the county election commission. So, >> [laughter] >> I understand how these boards work. I understand the process. What I also understand though is that you can tell him that he cannot cut a program. And that's basically what he's doing. Because if you get rid of the band class, the trickle-down effect of that is in probably less than 10 years, you won't have a marching band. Okay. Because you won't have a feeder program with that class. And without that class, that band dwindles and dwindles and dwindles until there is no marching band for your football games. Everybody around us has a band class. I was in band class all the way through school. Every Everybody around us has it. Why would we get rid of
something that everybody else in the state is doing? It makes no sense whatsoever. And y'all can influence that. You can't make that decision sitting here, but you can influence it. And I would ask that you do that. And the fingers I was going to Our daughter uh when she went into the keyboarding class, I think it was her probably her sophomore year, maybe. I don't know if you remember what year they took that, but um but she went into the keyboarding class, she'd been in there about a month when the teacher told me that she didn't need to be in the class because she was already typing 80 words a minute. The reason she was typing 80 words a minute is because she had played the 1812 overture for so long on that on that
clarinet where her fingers had to move really fast. >> [laughter] >> So, the hand-eye coordination that she had for playing that instrument has helped her with with all kinds of things in her life. And so, like I said, she's in She's in her 30s now and still that class influences her life. So, don't let it go. Does anybody have any questions for Ms. Sherr? Thank you, ma'am. Hope to see you all on a ballot. Thank you, ma'am. >> [laughter] >> Okay. We do want to thank y'all for coming. Again, we don't want to start. I don't I mean I don't pretend to know. I know the scheduling is extremely is a very tough thing to do. And when you change your schedule I mean I don't know anything about it. I you know I Could
be that may be part of the problem. It could be. That he shouldn't be cutting out a program and y'all not know it. The fact that y'all just found this out tonight that's a problem. >> We did just find this out tonight. I didn't know. You didn't know? I said it a while ago. So they bring him and present it to us and I have said three times start this program. You're not having You're not having I'm sure you're right. I I mean I've been very vocal I've been very vocal multiple multiple times about this. I did not realize it was being cut. I mean I said it at La Casita. >> [laughter] >> You probably did. I mean right in front of everybody at 2J Graham. So I mean Okay. Well, we'll see where
it goes. Mr. Jordan, thank you so for the appointment. And see see what >> [snorts] >> can happen. Thank you. Thank you, James. Uh Okay. Next is We do have some principals here, but I doubt if they have any reports to give, especially since just took over today. Zoe. True color. Yeah. All right. I feel like the last board meeting I had 100 things to report on and now they're all dwindling as the year ends. So it's good, it's a little sad, but I won't be up here for too long at least. Um I think that the biggest piece of information that I want to let everybody know is that graduation is tomorrow and it has been moved to the gym, the Shalzo County High School gym. in case you haven't already heard and in
case any parents or seniors or any parents at all are coming, it's in the gym due to the weather. Um it is tomorrow at 7:00. The doors will open at 7:45 and the seniors need to be there to line up at 6:30. At 5:45. I thought you said 7:00. >> [laughter] >> Um there's not going to be any limit for the people that can attend. We just ask that they all be respectful and silence the phones. The sound can be very loud, the tiniest sound in that gym. And there's going to be handicap parking on the side of the gym. It's side of the high school where the indoor is. Handicap parking will be there and then you can enter through the side of the gym so you don't have to walk all the way
through. Otherwise, you can just park in the front and enter and enter through the front. Um we had our senior trip to Holiday World in Indiana yesterday. It was great. We had about 60 students attend, which is crazy cuz we've got a little under 80 students in our grade. Um it was great. It was a little rainy, but it didn't interfere with the with the park or any of the rides and I mean we went on, I think it was the Thunderbird, maybe six times. It was amazing. It was a lot of fun though. And um I really love the senior trip. I hope that we never get rid of it because it's just a really great opportunity for you to hang out with all of your friends that you've been with, most of us
since elementary school, and it might be the last time that we can do that. Um we had girls basketball tryouts yesterday on Wednesday. That was at the Chattooga County High School and then volleyball was today at noon and then the boys basketball get basketball tryouts was today. It was at 6:00 and it's going to end at 7:00 in about 20 minutes. Our senior mock walk was May 14th and um there's a lot of pictures of that on I think the Facebook and if there are any pictures of me bawling my eyes out, I don't know where that was from. >> [laughter] >> I don't know what that was. But, that was a really, really cool opportunity that I think we only started last year, and man, I hope it never ends because it's great. It's
great. And especially the other girls from the taps program who went and um taught all the elementary schoolers. I mean, they made posters, they were writing letters, they called me Miss Von, spelled V O N. >> [laughter] >> I was just phonetic. Just phonetic. I don't believe it. I THINK THEY SOUNDED that out. The music sounded that out. >> [laughter] >> Yeah. It's really great opportunity. Um both our baseball and our softball teams made it to sub to substate this year. It's great. Congratulations to all of them. We've got some great coaches and some really great teams. And even with the seniors leaving, we our teams are in great hands. Um the boys went to Chattanooga, and then the girls went to Copper Basin. Both teams got to leave, and we gave them a big
like walkout as they left the school, and they were very excited to be able to travel. Um that's all for this year. This summer, we do have our summer running camp coming up. That's going to be from June 1st to the 21st at the elementary school. Um and then we've got some basketball skills camps. Uh we have basketball We have basketball camp, volleyball camp, and football camp coming up. And that's all for this summer and this school year. Um I just want to give a big thank you to all of you guys for giving me this opportunity to speak throughout this year. Um even after I got out of school at 3:00, and then maybe took a nap, and then I'm like, [laughter] I need to come and speak. Um it's been a great opportunity,
and I've really been able to exercise my public speaking skills, and it's great to be able to come up here and see that I have a community. Um sometimes when you hear like when you're a student and you hear about the school board, y'all are just like some people maybe in the clouds that are making up all these like rules. You're like, "Okay, who are these?" Um but being able to come and speak and being able to tell all of my peers like, "No, you actually know the people on the school board." Um it's been really great and you guys are doing great things. And um although I there is some even with the new schedules, there's conflict. I want to let you guys know, although I thought you guys were making it not the
principals, but I do think that it's going to be a great thing. Even if there are some tweaks in the schedules, I've talked to a lot of underclassmen, including my little brother, whether they're doing more um more dual enrollment classes, whether they get an athletic block, whether they go they go to TCAT, whatever they do, the more opportunities and the more electives that they're getting right now, it's great and I have no worries about that. And I mean, they're just very excited. Um and then for Landon, who's coming up after this, next year, you guys are in great hands with Landon. He's super involved. Um he's great at speaking. He's got a big heart. Um yeah, I think he's going to do great things and make a lot of voices heard. So, that's all I
got. >> to hearing from you. We appreciate all you've done this year. Thank you, Zoe. May your future be bright. Thank you, y'all. Is it You're going to school? I am. I'm doing Ball State for the first 2 years. Um I wanted to follow all my friends and go to like a big SEC school or something, but I want those 2 years free and I do want to stay in the community for a little longer. Well, that it's free. It's free. Why wouldn't I? Can't argue with free. And don't forget us. We need a good speech language pathologist, so That is what I Yeah, don't [laughter] forget us. Great. And anybody have any questions for Zoe before we let her go forever? No, I would like to say, I don't know if you remember that
I coached you in basketball. >> Oh, yeah. >> [laughter] >> I don't know what grade that was. And I have really enjoyed hearing you speak to us this last year and I'm really proud of the young lady that you are. Thank you. Thank you guys all. Thank you. Director Sworn. Okay, so my employment notices other than the ladies that I introduced a while ago, Miss Anna Tail, a 13-year veteran at the high school has resigned her position as a high school science teacher. We were very fortunate enough to already have filled that position. Her Miss Payton Cheek, she lives right down the road in Castalian Springs. She has taught high school chemistry and everything before, so we are looking forward to having her on board at the high school. Shelby Callahan resigned her position as
a high school cook a month or so ago. We moved to Shelly Hampton, who was a sub cook for us, into that position to finish out the school year. We will be posting that position later this summer. Madison McGlothlin, who is a fourth grade teacher for us, resigned her position only as the assistant high school cheer coach. She's still teaching with us, but she will not be doing assistant cheer coach this year. We have hired Haley Edenholder to be the assistant cheer coach next year to help out Miss Mallory McGee. She will be on maternity leave at the beginning, so she'll need a good person to help her with that. Um Is that cheer at the high school? It is at the high school. Yes, sir. Monday was the last full day of school for
most all students. We had just a handful at the schools on Tuesday and Wednesday taking final exams, but it still was pretty much over Monday. To have to take an exam, the student had to miss more than 17 days of school, which we had set in place several years ago and it has really helped us um cut down absences. So, if they missed 17 more days, those were the only students taking finals. Uh today was the abbreviated day for teachers. We had graduation practice this afternoon. Everybody's getting ready last minute end of the year details getting report cards ready to go home. Uh finishing out the year with cumulative records and packing everything up. Tomorrow night as we said at 7:00, class of 2026 will be graduating. It will be inside. Um we did that
because of the rain. Mr. McCollum and I made a call Sunday night. The weather was not looking good, so we just decided to have it inside and give everybody a week's notice. Um obviously we'd like to do it on the football field, but mother nature is not going to cooperate with us this year. Friday is the official start of summer for teachers and staff. So, if you hear a low roar tomorrow afternoon, it's not thunder. It is the teachers excited to leave the schools for a little while. But, June 1st is summer camp, so a lot of those teachers will be coming back to us for the month of June. We will be running the summer camp June 1st through the 26th. We are blessed to have two really good administrators working for us. Caleb
Schmider, who teaches high school English, is going to work as an administrator as well as Connie Del Clarity, who is a fourth grade teacher. They are going to work really well together. They've been working hard the past a few months getting it ready to go. To date, we have 110 students that will be attending summer learning camp. That is for rising kindergarteners through rising eighth graders. And then we have 55 who will be attending the stream camp. Miss Kathy Atwood is like the after school learning program that we have now. She does that after the learning program from 1:30 till about 4:30. So, they do a lot of science activities and games and cooking and she teaches them a lot in those few hours. Credit recovery will also be at the high school. Miss Shelly
Cook has done that for several years. She will do that again this year and it will be held June 8th through the 19th. As far as project reports, the field house is this close to getting ready. We just have a few minor little things that they are finishing up on. So, hopefully within the next couple of weeks that we will be getting the keys to that and we can put that behind us and when we do get the keys to that, we will be setting a open house on Saturday soon, hopefully, for the public to come in and anybody that wants to and walk through it before practice starts for the spring. Um elementary school, there's nothing to report. I know I have been saying this for a couple of months, but Mr. Tim Wilson
assures me that the fence is going to be around the chiller at the middle school next week. I know every time we meet, I say it's going to be next week. Sometimes you just can't get good help and I don't know what the hold up is, but hopefully we will have that fence around the chiller really, really soon. I think the holes have been dug. We're just waiting on them to come do the fence. And at the high school, like I said, the gym is set up for graduation and we are, I think, ready to go with all of that. What time do the doors open for graduation? >> 5:45. >> [laughter] >> And the seniors are supposed to be there about what time? 6:30. 6:30. We walk at 7:00 sharp. But that's all I
have today. Next June, you will probably have will hopefully have some more employment notices to let you know about. I wasn't teasing you. I just didn't want people to get that impression. >> [laughter] >> Anybody have any questions for Mr. Crocker? Okay. We have no old business, so we'll move on into our new business. Uh new business first item dissolving one of the special education preschool teaching positions. [clears throat] Uh Ms. Katherine talked to us about this at the work session, but would you just like to kind of review that? Sure. Uh this is a preschool special ed um classroom. We have two um classrooms and in the past several years those classes have been running really small. Like one classroom has had like maybe two or three students. The other classroom has had five
students, maybe eight, but a lot less than 10. Um because of money constraints, we are combining those into one classroom. It still will be a low number and when we do that we will have to um dissolve the classroom one of those classrooms. Any questions for Ms. Katherine about that? Do I have a motion to uh I'll make a motion to dissolve. Okay. Motion by Mr. Atwood to dissolve that one special education preschool position. Do we have a second? I'll second that motion. Seconded by Ms. Bowden. Any discussion? All in favor, please say I. I. Any opposed, please say no. Does pass unanimously. Mr. Carter, can I speak before we move on to the next one? Sure. I just uh wanted to publicly speak to let everybody know over the last couple months I've probably
had hundreds of communications uh regarding our specifically I guess policy 1.500 our board community relations and um I had help with a lot of research and I did a lot of research that I did present to the whole board on Tuesday and everybody's in agreement that we're going to work together to uh develop alongside uh with our director uh Katherine to uh create a parental communication guidelines that we will have published online where a parent can go, or a handbook, I'm not sure exactly where it'll be yet, where parents, guardians can go to see exactly where you're going to find out about school closings, weather issues, safety issues. Um, it will be clear where your communication and how you're going to get it and where where you'll find it. And we'll have that prepared before
we start school the next school year. So, thank you again to anybody who's reached out reached out to me and hopefully this will be a solution. Have a clear, transparent way for everybody to know how they're going to get communication from our district. And just to speak to that, I have already contacted all of my administrators. I have created a form for them to have input, and I've gave them a deadline of June so I could bring it back to you during the June meeting. So, all your principals and assistant principals and myself will be collaborating on what that looks like. Thank you. And of course, what we're talking about is administrative procedures, if you think of correct term. Uh, and uh, they will be as Katherine has a has a committee to address those
and all the administrators and whoever else she's put on that committee, and they'll bring a uh, proposal to us, and we'll look over it, discuss it, maybe add or change, whatever, and have that ready to go, as Rachel said, and we look Our plan is to before the school year starts, I'm a I'm assuming I don't have a calendar in front of me, but I would think right around the middle of uh, July because we start the last week of July. So, I would think that third week of July we would send out information for where parents are to to go. And uh to uh get whatever information it is that that they need uh depending on what what it is. School, you know, inclement weather. Uh uh Whatever whatever the situation Yes, whatever the
situation dictates. And uh Uh I would like to say one thing uh cuz I hope people listening will hear it's your responsibility to make sure we have your correct telephone number. If you you know, so that you can be contacted by text. Uh if we don't have your number, we can't do anything about that. So, that has to be your responsibility. So, just uh and we do that first of every year. I've done it for years even back when I was principal, you know, we we you know, did all that and everything. So, >> I've had the same phone number my whole life. So, I have no idea how to do this. Let's say I change my phone number before do I contact the Contact the school the school. Well, or the central office, either
one. And we will get it fixed. You know, in a lot of times it's part of the registration process. You turn in your phone number when you register A lot of it does change in the middle of the school year and we just encourage the families to either contact the school or the central office. The school's probably your first line and then we'll make sure it gets changed. I agree. I think the particular school your child attends is the proper place because especially the school nurse needs to know how to contact you in case of some sort of emergency or or you know I'm just thinking the specific the notification system. It's always best to go through that specific school. You know, that kind of thing. Yeah. Good point, Rachel. It's good. Uh anybody else
have any comments on that? Okay. Uh actually our next item is the cafeteria vendor awards. Before we get to uh Miss Huguley and she wants to discuss policy policy 1.500. But uh Miss Kathy Atwood was with us uh Tuesday night and uh we went over the uh bids for the coming year uh cafeteria contracts, milk, food, ice cream, all the uh what's that pizza called? The You like that? Smart Mouth pizza. Oh, yeah. >> [laughter] >> Uh so all, you know, and so uh Miss Atwood has recommended to us that we approve that bid sheet that she discussed with us on Tuesday night. Uh and now Miss Katherine can make her recommendation. I recommend that we accept what Miss Atwood presented. Okay. So we have recommendations from Miss our director. We have a recommendation from
the lady in charge of the cafeteria procurement program and stuff to accept the bids that we discussed on during the work session on Tuesday night. Discussion? Motions? Motion. Motion. Chris makes a motion to approve those bids. Do I have a second? Second. Seconded by Rachel. Any other discussion? All in favor, please say aye. Aye. Any opposed, please say no. All right, we got our food ready for next year. Uh and our last item on the agenda is Miss uh And I may say your first name wrong. I'll say Charmaine. Sheramy. I'm sorry. Sheramy Hugley and she's down to discuss uh board policy 1.50. I guess it's going to be a little shorter cuz y'all actually talked about it, which is great. Thanks. Um Uh but I'm I know that y'all I just mentioned that y'all
were trying to come up with a policy to make it to where you have centralized location. And that's great. But can we expand on that a little bit and say, "Okay, there are people that don't have text messages. Can we do multiple different sections of communications at once?" I was going to ask you a question. Are you going to ask a question? I It's It's rhetorical. You don't have to answer it. I'm just I was going to say that can be a problem. >> giving like thought process on it. Sorry to interrupt. It was rhetorical though. You don't have to answer it. But my My thought process is is like I know everybody's like, "Sure. Let's get the text message ring going and that's That's great. But like I said, some people don't have text
messaging or if they do, they, you know, essentially, you know, what if they didn't pay the bill or something like that? There are It happens. >> [laughter] >> So have multiple outlets like, "Okay, you can go here on your website and find the information as well." >> So I think one of the things in the proposal was text message, the district website, the social media. There's There's multiple things. >> Okay. So it's not just going to be the one. It's not just We're going to Those were the suggestions that we talked about. This committee will come up with those and present them to us and then we can change and add to it. >> I got you. I mean, that's what I was I was I was coming up here because, you know, the past
couple of the policy is very vague and it is confusing. And the fact that people are getting delayed information as a community does present an issue as far as like trusting the school on the amount of information that they are getting. And I'm going to go ahead and bring this up since I have time and I'm on the portal with the band is I mean even within teachers and principal communication apparently there's a lack there as well. Cuz he didn't even know that they were dissolving the band. And I misspoke when I said I didn't know because when she mentioned that we went over that at our retreat I forgot >> Right. I forgot that. And that alone is a communication issue. I don't think the band is being dissolved. But that's what you said.
It's not being dissolved. It's the class. The class. Well, I'm not saying like the entire band is being dissolved. It's the class. I apologize. Misspoke. But even then that he didn't realize that the class was going to and that's the miscommunication just within the school itself. So, if we're having problems communicating between board and community and between teachers and their principals or their administration staff, then obviously there's communication issue around the board. That's an issue. Between just the school itself. And uh I support the band obviously. I was up here about homeschooling and I wish y'all would have done differently, but you didn't. So, it is what it is. >> [laughter] >> But the band is very important as far as like the the class itself is important and I'm not sure because I was
sitting there and I was asking some questions and I'm not really 100% sure is any of the arts programs other than art itself besides band is there any other arts programs? We do have an art program. We have art. >> Yes, you have art, but any other arts programs like besides that and band? I'm not aware of any. That's all we've ever had. We're pretty small. >> Yeah. We're limited in what we can offer. I get that, but if you take away one, then you only have a limited amount of only one art program. And not everybody can draw. Not everybody can play music. Not everybody can run. Not everybody can catch a ball. And having an options, like music and art and all of that is it gives those students that aren't capable or
not capable. Everybody's capable of doing whatever they want to put their minds to. I won't say capable. They're not finding their niche, niche, or whatever. They're not able to go and be like, "Okay, I might not be good at this, but I am good at this." And I want to do this. And that gives them confidence to pursue other academics. And if if it is dissolved, that means you only have the arts arts program only as far as that. And that's not That's sad. The music program creates a lot of confidence in children, just in general. And I know that y'all can't say that y'all can't go I mean, you can't say whatever on the class itself. But like uh the other Miss Sherry said, you have the pull to keep it with your words.
I mean, he could probably decide whether or not, but y'all have a really big pull on that. And the band is very important. This town loves their band. And to just >> Sherry. limit just limit um since since you already said you're working on the 1,500, I said that's the limit. If if the band is I wasn't prepared for the band thing. I really wasn't. But since I'm up here, the band is needed for a lot of students for that confidence level, for that boost for academics. >> Thank you. Okay. That's all on our agenda tonight. Unless any board member has anything to bring up. Uh just a reminder, uh if I get the time from the the uh >> [laughter] >> end of the year >> I'll let you know. Yeah. The end of
the year teacher appreciation or and staff uh you know, employee appreciation lunch. Shouldn't just say teacher is tomorrow, uh 11:30 at uh high school. Uh hopefully uh I plan to be there, but hopefully some of the others some of y'all can can come. It's it's always good to uh to uh uh you know, be around our teachers and staff. And you learn a lot of things. You you know, talking to people and and that kind of stuff. And uh graduation tomorrow night 7:00, Trumbull County High School. Doors open at 5:45. Uh and uh Am I missing any announcement that Should be Okay. All right. Do I have a motion to adjourn? I'll make a motion to adjourn. All right, second. I'll second. We are adjourned. Thank y'all for coming. Yes, sir. Yep. >> [clears throat]
