Okay, the time is now 126. 16. Today is Thursday, January 22nd, 2026, and we're calling the ALSD [clears throat] specially called meeting posted to occur at 12:00 p.m. in the boardroom here at Central Office. Thank you everyone joining us this afternoon tower. On the agenda, this is a specially called meeting of the board of the Alys to be held uh today. And we'll now call this meeting to order. Present today is Dr. Ania Drovinho, their superintendent, myself, Jennifer, Mr. Herman Aiano, our vice president, Mr. Cedo Samura is not here. Uh, he is our secretary. Mr. Adrien, trustee is present. Mrs. Debbie Ghetto, trustee is present. Mr. Cody Reeves, trustee is present. And Mr. Lemon, trustee is present. At this time, we have a quorum. On to item number three, the pledge of allegiance of the
United States. >> I pledge algiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all the flaggis. >> [clears throat] >> Item number four in the agenda, the public comment. We have no one who has signed up to speak. Madam >> President, with your permission, I would like to say a few things. Is that okay? Do I need to sign in there? Can you sign my name on? Everybody knows it's So, I just want to take a couple of minutes to say that earlier this week, as we all know, we had a uh a low water pressure issue that occurred all over town, which obviously led to no water at a couple of schools. And even though
I don't really say a whole lot, especially during public comment, I do want to say that I am very grateful to Michael Inosa, uh Mr. Kim Kubala, and all the maintenance staff that literally started a bucket brigade um to manually flush toilets at uh I believe it was Nunan and Science Elementary. My fellow board member Cody Reeves also uh came through with a 350 gallon or 300-galon water tote to uh bring water to those schools. Not the ideal situation, but we made it work. Um so often we go about our business and we don't know what happens behind the scenes. So I thought I would take the time to say thank you. I appreciate everything that you guys did. And uh it's not often that uh you have to work in those conditions and thank
you very much. I know it probably wasn't pleasant but you know you did it for the kiddos and thanks again. From my understanding the bathrooms the next day after the water came on bathrooms and all the schools were and span per drill and everything was back to normal. Thank [clears throat] goodness. And one other thing, and I apologize, the name forgives me. This is how Alice ISD works. I received a text message last Thursday or Friday that a Laredo ISD bus had broken down at the Walmart parking lot and they were looking for a volunteer to drive them to Laredo. A gentleman by the name of Henry volunteered to to drive them in one of our buses because that's what Alice ISD does. Upon getting there, our Henry decided that he could actually fix the
bus right then and there. So, he maggyvered it, fixed the bus, and away they went. So, often we always hear negative stuff on social media and all the things like that. So, I want to make sure that sometimes we hear positive stuff. So, kudos to all our maintenance operation guys. Thank you for everything you do. It does not go unnoticed and I needed to say that today. >> Thank you, Mr. >> That's it. And again, thank you again to the maintenance department and everyone who helped uh resolve this issue for our kids. Thank you. On [clears throat] to item number five and the action item. discuss and consider approval of conveyance of utility easement to AE Texas. And so in order for us to proceed building the stadium, AP has asked for an easement in
order for them to have access to the breakers. If at any time they go off and if they're within the stadium, then they wouldn't have access. And so in order for us to proceed, they have asked for an easement of a specific amount, which I think it's a 0.02 uh part of the property. So we're asking for approval in order for us to proceed. >> Thank you, Dr. Fino. At this time, do we have an approval as recommended? >> Yes. I move the board execute a resolution authorizing the conveyance to AP Texas Incorporated, the utility provider for the new stadium, a utility easement containing approximately 002 acres or approximately 871 square ft of land located on a portion of lot one of the Alice Memorial Stadium Ray Plant in a form substantially similar to the
B the one approved by council for the district and attached to the resolution and authorize the board president to execute the ement and right away on behalf of the district. >> Thank you. At this time, there's a motion by Mrs. Ghetto. Is there a second? >> I'll second. >> A second by Mr. Re. Is there any discussion? >> Where's it going to be at? Where's [clears throat] the easement going to >> run through? The easement's running from the road to the uh one road, >> huh? >> It's on the north side. >> Houston. So off of Houston Street, it's going to run from Houston Street to the primary transformer. >> And it's typical requirement that AP it's 18 1/2 ft wide all the way to the transformer. [clears throat] >> Does anybody else have any
questions? No. >> Mr. Hi. >> Hi. >> Mrs. G. >> Hi. >> Mr. Reeves. >> Hi. >> Mr. D. >> Hi. >> Myself. I motion passes. Thank you. On to item number seven. >> Oh yes. >> At this time on to item number seven. Ajourn. The time is now 12:24 and the Thank you.
