He will now address our honor guest and you the 2026 graduating class of Bulma United High School. >> Hello everyone. Good evening to the family, friends, staff, and most importantly the graduating class of 2026. It is a great honor to take the stage and give a few closing remarks before we all close off this chapter of our of our lives. Now is the time that we all go out into this vast world and that every single person in this room has the ability to create a huge impact in the world. I'm sure that this year has been completely different compared to the previous years for the majority of you all, especially considering things like the addition of yonder pouches. However,

there were many exceptional memories made throughout the high school years, and I'm grateful for having the opportunity to experience unforgettable memories and friends that I have made. I'm sure that the same could also be said for the rest of you all. even though there were likely many ups and downs along your journey. Either way, you made it here and that is a huge accomplishment in itself. Although things have changed this year, it has allowed me to realize two important skills necessary for life that I believe could be applied to all of y'all. The first thing is when it feels like you're alone and that no one is there for you. You have your own ability and willpower to persevere through every single challenge that life throws at you. Even if it seems like it's impossible

and that giving up is an easy way out, don't. You are not born with a fixed amount of resilience. Like a muscle, you can build it up gradually. And it will get stronger the more effort you put into your goals and challenges. The rewards at the end of all your goals and challenges will make up for the difficulties you have faced and your sense of accomplishment will be vital to help guarantee your success. The second important thing I would like to mention is how important it is to adapt and overcome new situations especially considering the world is constantly changing around us. The ability to adapt to various situations can tremendously help as it builds lifelong experiences that all of us can use to greatly benefit our lives. Explore new things that you like and try

to build and make fun and memorable experiences. Do the things you have always wanted to do. Adapting to new situations critically and carefully will not only help you survive through life but also help you discover new hobbies that you may possibly enjoy in life. And lastly, I want to give proper gratitude to those who have supported me throughout my whole life. Firstly, to my friends. I am so grateful to you all and for and thank you for making these years of my life much more memorable. Next, I want to give special thanks to my best friends specifically as you have helped me greatly when I was at my lowest points in my life. Thank you for being in my life and I was able to discover many things I ended up enjoying. So, thank you

wherever you are. Oh my god. Most importantly, I would like to give thanks to my family for the endless support throughout my whole life. Without them, I would not have the same opportunities and memories that I would have today. Once again, you all have the willpower to chase your dreams and discover many new things the world can offer to us. Go ahead out there and make a difference to this world. As this is only just the beginning for everyone that stands graduating in this day. Once again, congrats to be Bulma United class of 2026. >> [applause] [cheering] >> And now, may I please welcome Valadictorian Manuel Artega Zunita to the podium. >> [clears throat] >> Good evening, family, friends, faculty, guests, and graduates. I want to start by congratulating the Bulmont United High School class

of 2026. It is an honor to stand on this stage and be named the valadictorian for the class of 2026. As said in Proverbs 4:25, keep your eyes on what is in front of you, looking straight before you. Some of us tend to overthink the path that lies ahead of us, but forget to cherish what's happening in front of us. I want to remind everyone that it is always important to slow down and appreciate the moment. After all, we're sitting here today based on the work we've done, not on the work we're expected to do. Graduation is more than just receiving a diploma, but an accomplishment for the 13 years of hard work. Be proud of your accomplishment and live for the moment. My mom came to the United States when she was 16 years

old with nothing but a dream for a better life. She had left her life to build ours and for that I will always be thankful for her sacrifices. For the longest time I obsessed solely on succeeding, proving my worth. I wanted to be someone that my mom could be proud of. I moved so fast forgetting to stop and appreciate the moment. Sometimes I felt like I was not doing it enough, comparing myself to everyone else. Even now, I continue to reflect on the past, thinking of things I could have done differently. It took me a long time to finally have a sense of pride in my accomplishments, but sometimes you begin to appreciate the present too late. And my junior year, my dad passed away. It took losing him to realize all the moments I

lost. I was so focused on the future that I never allow myself to appreciate life. He's been gone for almost two years now and I continue to reflect on all his missed calls, delivered messages and past voice messages, hoping to see he see hoping to hear or see him one more time. He always told me how proud he was and to work hard so I wouldn't have a life like his. But I never got to tell him that he's one of the reasons I work so hard. While he's not here to watch me cross the stage or give this speech, I know he's proud to see me come this far. I won't get a second chance to see him again. But these experience have made me grow and become a stronger resilient person. While I'll

never get the opportunity to thank him, I want to express gratitude to all the people who supported me throughout my journey. I'm thankful to all my friends, teachers, and family members who have encouraged me over the last four years. To my sisters who motivate me to strive for greater heights. To my brother whom I hope to inspire. To my girlfriend who helped me keep me on track. Finally, to my mom. Mommy. For everyone who has gone through a similar experience or is going through something right now, remember that there will always be someone to rely on. Today is the first step in our process of growth. We will continue to make mistakes, mature, and regret. But what matters is that we continue to build ourselves. In a world full of hatred, it is up to

us to continue to spread love and positivity. Once again, I want to remind everyone that you are sitting here for your hard work. So, take pride in yourself and continue to grow. Congratulations to the class of 2026. [cheering] [applause] At this time to present the class of 2026, Miss Tamara Long. Good evening, class of 2026. Clap for yourself. As I stand before you, I am honored to bring you greetings and remarks from the on behalf of the entire Bulma United community. During the 2025 2026 school year, I have been the priv had the privilege of being your campus principal. Over the past four years, all 461 of you have written joyous memories and lifetime letters of love across our hearts. Today, you will continue with the next chapter of your story. Before we conclude the

chapter as Timberwolves, I want to first give you insight of what it looks like to be a graduate of Bulma United High School. A graduate of Bulma United High School is resilient. In the face of all diversity, an achiever, a problem solver, hard worker, and community leader. A graduate of Bulma United is courageous when confronted by fears both mentally and physically. As you graduate, you are and will be an exemplar of our mantra. Excellence is not a choice. The class of 2026 has been in the mix and has set and met standards by our campus, district, and community. The class of 2026 has six suma kumlad graduates. [applause] 16 Magna Kumlad graduates, [applause] 12 Kumlad graduates, 87 honor graduates, seven students who will be serving our country in various branches of the armed forces. 205

industrybased certifications and over 200 acceptance letters into colleges and technical institutions across the nation. Class of 2026, you have a total of $7.1 million in scholarships received. As you move into the next chapter of your own story, I urge you to never stop sitting at your desk of life, pencil in hand, writing your plan for what your future holds. I want you to remember these few things while you're writing your next chapter. All sentences have meaning and the arrangements of words are essent essentially representatives of your life choices. So understand that mistakes are like commas. No periods. They are not ending just endless opportunities and sometimes a moment to take a breath. Life may lead you to endless m dashes, dramatic events, or moments that can often feel discouraging. Like a colon, there will be

choices or journeys you may embark on once your high school chapter concludes. The cho choices you make will be reflected on the other side of the colon. If you read my story, the chapter entitled principal, you will discover that class of 2026 has been one of my favorite parts. Each of you are in my acknowledgements and I dedicate part of my story to you. I wish you nothing but the best and know that one of my life's greatest honors was to be your principal. Congratulations class of 2026. Now we will have the acceptance of our senior class of 2026 by our superintendent, Miss Sandy Massie. Seniors, Manuel and Kevin already talked about resilience, and that's what I want for you. It doesn't matter how smart you are if you don't have emotional intelligence. It doesn't

matter how high your grades are, how much money you have, because people will remember if you kept your word, if you worked hard, whether you treated people well, whether you could handle adversity without quitting, whether you made the people around you better. Your future needs more than just your intelligence. It needs wisdom. resilience and integrity. So, wherever life takes you next, remember this. Intelligence might open doors for you, but emotional intelligence will determine the kind of adult you become once you walk through them. I do congratulate you. It's exciting to see you finish this part of your journey and start the next one. And at this time, I'd like to invite Principal Long back to the podium with me. According to the requirements set forth by the State Board of Education and Bumont Independent School

District, it is with great joy that I accept the Bumont United High School class of 2026. And now, the moment we've all been waiting for. Would the 2026 graduating class of Bumont United High School please stand up? >> [cheering] >> By the authority vested in me by the great state of Texas in our school board, I now pronounce you graduates of the Bowmont United Independent School District. Congratulations. At this time, Mr. Sanchez and Miss Douglas will call the names of our graduating class. Before I continue, there are several items I would like to say to the parents and guests. Graduation is a special occasion and one would like to remain dignified. With this in mind, please cooperate with me as I ask you to adhere to the following. Please refrain from using horns or any
