So, initially we had two different plants with the same soil, same seed, all with the same amount of sunlight. But we watered one with gray water and one with fresh water. And here's our results. The results indicated that gray water actually had a 33% faster increase of growth than fresh water. The reason being because gray water has more natural fertilizers being phosphorus, nitrogen, and oxygen which help the plant grow. >> Um, hi, I'm Hannah Moran. I'm a senior here. >> Hi, my name is Bron Miller. I'm also a senior here and our poster is beyond the diagnosis exploring the science of brain injury and cerebral pausy. >> Um we really didn't do an experiment but we looked at various studies to see that about the causes of pausy especially that of the correlation between its

development in the womb and oxygen deprivation. Um the reason I we did this poster is because my mom has taught kids before that have cerebal palsy. So I thought it was would be interesting to look at. And then we from the studies that we researched from 2004 to 2017 there were approximately 332 new cases of cerebral pausy with an average of 33.2 per year. Hello, my name is Lizzie Simro. I did well we did my group's not here unfortunately but uh I did my presentation over at Pasta. Pasta is the second most consumed dish in the entire world. Um, and me personally, I like to eat it. So, I decided, let's just make a whole presentation about it. And we won. So, that's great. Um, ours is about the pH of uh individual pasta sauces.

So, we had different bases like uh tomato based, um cream based, plant-based, and oil based. Um our results showed that um surprisingly the tomato sauce had the highest acidity which meant that um the the higher the number is the lower the acidity is. So our the tomato sauce had the lowest acidity and the oil which is our white wine sauce had the highest acidity. Um we tested we followed a diet plan to see if it had any impact on our digestion. Um and we also ate them in control portions. Unfortunately, we notice no difference, but that just uh reassures our viewers that as long as they're eating in control portions, the it should be good for your health. We're going to open it up for questions. >> For the seniors in the group, uh are

you guys uh going to major in some sort of science as you move on from here? >> I I'm a senior. I'm not going to major in science. Uh, but I find science extremely interesting. Um, I just think science in general is interesting. Everything that's going to is interesting. >> Thanks. >> All right. Um, wanted to ask a question about the the brain injury. Uh, tell me again the conclusion. What did you guys conclude? the blood pressure. >> We did in fact conclude that um during birth um the oxygen oxygen deprivation does in fact like conclude that there is like an increased chance of cerebral pausy. >> Okay, thank you. So, it sounds like you learned a lot through your projects. Could each of you or just a few shared just an aha moment that

you had throughout your project in your research? >> I'm getting all three. >> So, at the beginning of our project, we were very set that gray water would completely stunt the growth. So, we even put toxic. effect. From the very beginning, gray water grew surprisingly faster than the fresh water. And that really surprised us. >> Yeah, for sure. So, a little bit of an aha moment for me actually was um kind of like talking through things with my parents who are both medically related and they were like, "Charris, I really don't think that there's going to be that big of a correlation. Like, I don't really know if this is the greatest topic to do. Like, maybe you should kind of change it." and I followed through with it and kind of did a little

bit of research through the American Heart Association. And whenever I got to like actually stain and see the bacteria um underneath the microscope, I was like boom.
