In this video, we'll walk you through how to use the Texas Education Agency's A throughF Accountability Estimator tool and show you how it can help you estimate 2026 accountability ratings using your current data. This tool is designed to support your planning and goal setting efforts. It allows you to adjust specific components or data points and immediately see how much improvement would be needed to impact a domain score or the overall rating. But most importantly, it can help you get a clearer picture of what to prioritize and where to focus your efforts. Here's how the estimator works. The tool is prepopulated with your most recent accountability data, which is your 2025 data, and applies the current accountability methodology to estimate 2026 ratings. The estimator is also available for campuses evaluated under alternative education accountability
002or AEA. And because those campuses use a different accountability methodology, if you're an AEA campus, please make sure you're using the AEA A throughF accountability estimator to ensure the most accurate results. To get started, you'll start with step two and select how you would like to search for your campus. For this example, I'll leave it as campus name and move on to step number three. Here, you'll enter the campus name or campus number. Be sure to avoid abbreviations or acronyms and instead enter the full campus name. Then you'll select search. In step four, once your campus name appears, select the campus name from the list. Then in step five, select view report. Now you're viewing the full report. It's divided into the three accountability domains and it's already prepopulated with your most recent data applied
003to the current accountability year. In this case, 2026. From here, you can begin exploring different scenarios. Each data field here within the domains can be adjusted or edited, allowing you to see which data points would need to change and by how much to impact a domain score or the overall rating. Let's look at an example for this school. I'll increase the star performance at approaches by three points. And I'll use the arrows here at the side. or you can also use your keyboard to change the values. Now select the green button labeled recalculate new values and the tool immediately updates the results and you can now see how those changes affect the overall rating or a domain rating. In this example, the campus rating changed from a B to an A. This, of course, is
004just an example, but as you continue adjusting different data points, the estimator can help identify which areas have the greatest impact on the overall rating. This gives you a more targeted focus. We're setting goals and monitoring your progress. At any time, if you want to return to the original data, select the red button labeled reset original values.
