Melissa secretary. All in favor say I. >> I. Post say no. Motion passes. You just go sharers now. for this. Uh the next thing is district in district district investment policy. Sean case. Good evening. Uh Mr. Farmer, board members, Mrs. How uh we are here to review um our board policy uh on our investments. Um we're going to begin with an overview. Uh right now we have a little over $233 million invested. Uh most of that is uh the bond money. It's about 195 million of that is is uh bond money invested. Um on the next page you can see uh the
distribution uh by uh the different funds. So as you can see 85% uh are bond proceeds 9% general operating IMS ins is 4% and then we have some small others like child nutrition and scholarships that are invested in investment pools. Any questions on those two? Let's see next uh investment pool balances. So these are five of the pools that we use. um three of the five um have a little bit higher in uh interest rate than uh some of the others and so we keep it there usually around 3.76 3 uh77 while the uh smaller ones like text pool uh have an interest rate about 3.65. Next page, uh, a little bit more details for each, uh, kind of investment, each pool. Any questions on that? As you can see, there's about 22 million of
general operating funds that we put in there that is investing right now. The following page is just a little bit about uh the public funds investment act which kind of governs um our policy. Uh it also governs um our training. So Drew and I have to go to required trainings every year. Um it also governs just kind of how what pools what investment uh tools you can use. And then it also states that uh specifically in front of you uh why we're having this conversation today um yearly. So usually investment policy is updated and talked about in those big TASBY updates that you do every year in January. There wasn't uh anything updated in our investment policy, but we still have to have a conversation about strategy and the policy and if there's any changes.
So that's why we're here today. I've included the local policy for your reading uh leading up to this meeting. Uh copy of the resolution uh that you'll be signing. So the resolution basically states uh some of the language from the public funds investment act and just says that we did have this conversation today um and that we either are going to make changes or not make changes. So all of our money is invested in pools. Uh it is very safe. Uh a lot of districts use that. Uh we don't use any other kind of investing. Um it's very liquid. Uh there was a page I may have skipped it by accident, but what what is our strategies, but basically our strategies are to uh we monitor. So, every morning around 9:00, I get a little
alert about the interest rates and all the pools. Um, make sure there's no big changes or anything we've got to move money around. Um, the money is very liquid. We can get it the day of so it can be wired into our bank account. Um, or we we usually just do an a which takes 24 hours, but it's very liquid. It's very safe. Um, so any questions? >> Yeah, no questions. >> Yeah, pretty straightforward. >> Thank you very much. >> Thank you. >> The next thing is board planning county. >> I think we need to approve the resolution from I move to approve the resolution stating the board of trustees has reviewed the investment policy and investment strategies of course can second. >> We have a motion to approve the resolution stating that the board
of trustees have reviewed the investment policy investment strategies. All those in favor say I. >> I. All post say no. Motion passed to approve the resolution stating the board of trustees have reviewed the investment policy and investment strategy. Thank you. Next thing, okay, you have your board planning calendar for the 2627 uh school year in your packet. We talked about this last week. We did add a meeting in September and January. So, I think we added everything that we discussed last week. So, we'll just need your approval. >> Can we add one more thing? Um, something we talked about this year for June, we were going to discuss the AP and dual credit classes, the scores that were received from the students. Can we add that to June 7th workshop? Thank you. and in light
of this. I think since we have to go back and correct that, I move that we table this motion until the next board meeting. >> I second. >> We have a motion to second to table this until next board meeting or Gina. Okay. Uh let's see the next thing is uh all those favor say I. >> I post say no. Motion passes. Consent agenda. >> I make a motion that we approve the consent agenda as is. >> Second. >> We have a motion and second to approve the consent agenda. All in favor say I. I. All post say no. The motion passes and presented. We'll adjourn to close sessions peritted by Texas government code section 55101. Thanks everyone.
