Well, I guess, we're going to make it a routine to have at least an early meeting every month. We're considering it. No we're not. Not going to happen. We had a new president. There is a lot going on in the district, but I'm glad that we're able to handle these situations. So with that, we're going to go to the first item, and it's an item, an action item to approve administrative contracts. And specific as the campus athletic coordinator, head football coach for the West Mesquite High School. And before we do anything, I would like to entertain a motion. Mr. president, I move that we accept the contract for the West Mesquite High School athletic coordinator, head football coach. So. So there's a motion by Mr. Seward, a second by Mr. Rose to approve the administrative
contract of the campus athletic coordinator. Head football coach for West Mesquite High School. All those in favor, please indicate by saying I, opposed same sign as I have it. Motion carries. Doctor Rivera, what did we do? Well, Mr. President, Cavo, what you just did is approve, Coach Williams for the athletic coordinator position, but I'll let Mr., Cody Groves come up to the lectern and introduce, the person that you just approved. Excellent. There is a there is a sense of urgency always to put a leader in front of our kids as fast as possible. I think it's really important. And so I'm really thankful President Carbo and board and Doctor Gregory Cabinet for being here and, understand the importance to us, to get a great leader at West Mesquite High School. And, so the timing is
great. And again, I think it's a great morning, great way to start our day. But I want to go ahead and introduce you, read a little bio about, the gentleman we recommended for hire and just get approved. Coach Williams brings more than a decade of experience as a head coach, athletic coordinator, and educator with a proven track record of building competitive programs grounded in accountability, discipline, and student success. Most recently, he served as athletic coordinator and head football coach at Sam Houston High School in San Antonio ISD, where he has led, his program to three consecutive playoff appearances in a district championship while also significantly increasing student athlete participation. Academic performance, and college recruitment opportunities. Coach Williams previously spent two years as a defensive coordinator at Sam Houston High School, and two seasons as offensive
coordinator at YMCA High School, also in San Antonio ISD. Prior to his time in San Antonio, Williams also served as a teacher and coach in Hays ISD. When we talk to every reference, everybody we talked to about him, they raved and raved and and they just wanted to keep talking about him. And so we're really, really excited, to bring him to the to the Mesquite ISD family. And so, at this time, that is that's what I have
about, our new coach at West Mesquite High School and. Coach, I know. Good morning. I just want to say thank you. Just really want to say thank you. I'm a I'm a Dallas kid.
