The presenter of this evening will be our district executive director for special programs, Mrs. Marisa Belmont. Miss Belmont. >> Good evening, Mr. President, members of the board, Mr. Gonzalez and guest. The Texas Education Code 39.306 306 requires each school district's board of trustees to publish an annual report that includes the taper report, campus performance objectives and progress towards those objectives, information on violent or criminal incidents, information on the performance of the previous year's graduates in their first year of college as reported by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and progress towards meeting House Bill 3 goals. Statute also requires that school districts hold a public hearing to discuss the district's annual report within 90 calendar days of the date of receiving

039the PDF taper report. School districts must also notify property owners, parents, and others in a parental relationship to students of this public hearing. This notification was sent out to the local newspaper, the Star County Town Crier, which printed last Wednesday with the date, time, and place of this hearing. The Texas academic performance report comprises a range of information on the annual performance of students in each campus and district in Texas. The taper also provides extensive information on district staff, special programs, and student demographics. The first report in the annual report is a report on violent or criminal incidents. This report was taken from the 2425 PIM's summer accepted submission to TEA. The next report is a report on PE's financial standard report which are the 2023 2024 financial actual reports based on the enrolled membership

040for that school year. After that we have the performance objectives beginning with the Roma ISD district improvement plan and the campus improvement plans for each Roma ISD campus. Following the performance objectives, we have the information on the performance of the previous year's graduates, which is the class of 2023 in their first year of college, which is 2024, as reported by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Then we have the report on progress towards House Bill 3, which is the progress of the district towards meeting the goals set in early childhood literacy and mathematics proficiency plans and college career and military readiness plans. The last section of the annual report is the actual 2425 taper reports for Roma Roma ISD as a district and for each individual campus. Within two weeks of this public hearing, the

041district must widely publish its annual report, including posting it on the district website and other public places. The updated 2024 2025 district taper will be published on the Roma ISD district website and the taper individual campus reports will be published as well on their campus websites. Hard copies of the district annual report will also be available at the superintendent's office, the Roma public library and Lar Rosita Public Public Library and at each campus.
