My name is Emma Escobar, and I am a senior at Roma High School. And tonight, I will be speaking to you about this month's character trait, Self-reliance is the ability to depend on your own skills, judgment, and efforts to meet the challenges you are presented in life. and to achieve the goals you set your sights on to. Self-reliance motivates people to remind to remain responsible for actions they take and maintain faith within themselves while struggling
005to make important decisions. Instead of depending on the competence of those around you, self-reliance helps people think independently of their peers in order to face situations on their own terms. Self-reliance is incredibly beneficial for the development of confidence and strength in people. When people face situations that require them to utilize their soul abilities and mental capacity, they gain a multitude of experiences and learn to face challenges with nuanced personal developments. These experiences drive maturity in people and create people who are ready to face any circumstance that comes their way regardless of the requirements. Self-reliance does not simply mean that you do not depend on others for anything. Selfiance means that you have the confidence and ability to depend on yourself for your own particular journeys. Through the influences of self-reliance, people become independent and learn
006how to grasp the power to shape their own future. Thank you. >> Thank you. Thank you. >> And I believe I misspoke when I said that the character trait was justice. It is self-reliance. Correct.
