The district holds its educators to high professional standards, and the safety and well-being of our students is always our top priority. When those expectations are not met, the district will act. Following the receipt of allegations of misconduct at Veterans Memorial Elementary School, the district took immediate steps to initiate a thorough and comprehensive investigation into the matter.
004Based on the findings of that investigation, I can inform our school community that the individuals who conduct was determined to fall below the standards and expectations of this district are no longer employed by the district. In accordance with state law, the district has also made all required reports concerning these individuals to the state board of educator certification and other applicable state agencies. This investigation and the actions taken by the district and its board of trustees should serve as clear notice to our community and our our employees that the district will act decisively to protect its students. and address misconduct by its employees. The district remains committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. We will continue to listen to parent concerns, address issues when they arise, and hold employees accountable when
