005Roma High School, and it is a great honor to be speaking here today. I am here before you to talk about something very impactful. Compassion. Compassion can change lives for the better and impact people in more ways than one could think possible. Compassion is understanding someone might be having difficulties and going be above and beyond to find a way to help them. It's lending a hand to someone that needs help without expecting some kind of reward or praise in return. Giving someone a hug or making them laugh when they are having a rough day can also be a form of compassion. I know everyone has their own struggles, but just taking a few seconds or minutes out of our day to help someone goes a long way in making our community a better place. Someone

006could be having a terrible day, and a simple compliment could change their mood completely. Today, I want to challenge everyone present to strive to act on their compassion and find a way to help someone out. It's okay to start small. Smile more. Listen to your friend rant without complaining. Pick up a paper or pencil someone dropped. and slowly these acts will pile up and even inspire others to act on their compassion. Thank you for your time. >> Thank you, JACQUELINE. [applause] >> And now we uh will have uh Mrs. Yadira Diaz, our director of federal programs, who will be making uh >> I take it back.
