We're working on a on a plan, but we're kind of keeping it under wraps right now because we want to make it really special. And so, um, Miss Lockage and I have been talking that through, and we think our timing is going to be just right for the end of April for what we have planned. >> Very good. Thank you. >> Anyone else? Thank you very much. All right, our last report will be theformational report on CH local. Good evening board, uh, Miss McCoen. Uh, mine will be quite short compared to uh, the previous months. U, I know that we've had quite a bit in update 126. Uh, and tonight I'm only talking to you about one policy, CH local. So, as we have been going through and getting ready to update our board policy
to the new things coming through on 126 and which y'all have approved recently, we noticed that the legal policy, which remember is the state requirement, they upped the amount of contracts for procurements from 50,000 to 100,000 while our current local policy remained at 50,000. So in an effort to improve the efficiency that the state is allowing in this situation, we'll be coming and recommending that CH will approve us to allow for the uh increase in the local policy from 50 to 100,000. Now remember this is only our first reading. So y'all can consider this over this next month and then when we come back in April then we'll how you feel about it. >> Very quick. Any questions? >> Any questions on policy update? >> Guess we'll see you at the next board meeting. >>
Thank you very much. >> Next item on agenda areformational items. I believe those are included in your board book for you to look over at your own leisure. That will move us into our rather lengthy consent agenda. While we're considering consent agenda, we're going to take it in two motions tonight. Um, if there's no objection, we'll do consent agenda items A through E in one motion and then we will consider FF on another motion because we have an individual that wants to abstain due to a conflict. >> Mr. President, before we move on that I would like to ask Mr. Calden to u address I and FF because that's a lot of money. So could you please explain where the money is going to come from for the land that we'd like to purchase? >>
Yes, ma'am. So uh in the bond from May of 2023 in Proposition A, uh there is $5 million set aside for the purchase of future school sites. Uh so we would be using that original $5 million of Proposition A along with some investment earnings that Proposition A has also uh earned to purchase those two lands. >> Okay. Thank you for doing that. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Anything else on consent agenda items A through E. Okay. At this time, I'll entertain a motion to approve consent agenda items A through E. >> Motion by Mr. Timberman second. >> Second by Mr. McCutchen. Any other discussion? All in favor say I. >> I. >> Say nay. >> Motion carries 5 6. And then next our last item will be consent agenda item FF, which is considerate consideration with
possible actions to approve the purchase or approximately 110 acres of land. Ellis County parcel ID. square the known letters to be utilized as a potential site for educational facilities at a cost of $3.85 million and authorize the board president to execute all documents. >> Mr. President, for the record Mr. President, for the record, I have a business relationship with the title company listed in the contract and therefore I'll be abstaining from any discussion or vote on this matter. Anyone on consent agenda item FF? Okay, I need a motion to approve. >> So moved. >> Mr. Cooper second. >> Second by Miss Creel. Any other discussion? >> All in favor say I. >> I. Say nay. Motion carries 501. And our last item will be a motion to adjurnn. So move. >> Unless Mr. Pitts all
in favor say I. I. Motion carry 6.
