back to agenda item number four public comments. I apologize profusely We have one public comment by miss Mary Maney. Good evening, mr. Good evening, mr superintendent president board president Trustee members as well as the members in the community that are here I would like to say that we are coming back Yes, we are close to the hundred days scary thought but we did come back from Christmas and I came in on that first day It was dark in the classroom. I mean in the hallways and the floors absolutely shown So the custodial staff Actually did such an incredible job over the Christmas break getting the floors back up and and all that that I don't know if anybody's ever has said thank you to him But that is it made it feel a lot better
coming in a lot for good fresh start Do appreciate all the stuff you have done this year as a board. I've been a lot of Controversy among the board members that there has been in the past you guys have worked really well together Do appreciate and this whole bunch of other people appreciate the effort you went through to Make sure we got our mid-year stipend this year and one a small one for next year that yeah I will ask about increasing it as we go along But we do appreciate that that makes life a whole but a whole lot easier on that I do have kudos out for our Mu alpha theta they are running a stem camp on the 31st for sixth to eighth graders So if we have people in the community that
have sixth eighth graders, this is going to be a really fun Activity to do and they can contact the high school and get some more information on it But it really is a great opportunity for them I did have one question though, and I apologize for not making it to the committee meeting I was looking at the calendar and you've got the proposed changes I love the fact that we're going to get a teacher workday on graduation so we can get ready the student early release on the 22nd I Mean on the 21st, but why is there a red box that includes the Wednesday the 20th and Saturday the 23rd? I didn't find the dates anywhere in the date listing, but it's a little concerning when a Saturday is boxed So if somebody could address
that that would be a very nice thing relieve a little bit of stress on the mind But again, thank you for all that you guys have done and what you're doing to help promote us Oh, I do have one more thing. We got a cold front coming in typically for the last couple years We do wind up with a weather day prior to the Super Bowl Monday And you and of course that's our little mini February break And you've been really good about us never having to give up Super Bowl Monday, which is the weather makeup day Just kind of keep it in mind that they are predicting cold weather of course. It's only gonna be this weekend But I mean it's one of those we might have to think about that and and all
of our people don't want to have to make up days hint hint Okay, particularly our hourly people, but our teachers also, so thank you very much Congratulations, hopefully we have a great year coming up the rest of the year coming up and have a great night tonight Thank You miss me Now we'll move on to the consent agenda in order to promote efficient meetings The board may act upon more than one item by a single vote through the use of consent agenda Consent items placed on the agenda shall be marked with an asterisk Consent items are items for which no board discussion is anticipated and for which the superintendent recommends approval Prior to the time which approval of consent agenda is had at the request of any member of the board trustees any item on
