001All right, welcome to tonight's meeting everybody. It's December 11th and we'll start with the pledge of allegiance by our business administrator. >> I aliance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Thank you. And exciting to have our new flag on the other side. That's a fun little update in here for us. Um we'll move on to the consent agenda. Um so hopefully everybody had a chance to look over that. And lots of policy that we've discussed at length. Is there um a motion or any discussion? I move that we approve the consent agenda. >> All right. I guess I should ask my question. Is there a second? >> Second. >> Okay. And is
002there any discussion on any of it? >> All right. All in favor. >> And any opposed? >> Right. That passes. Thank you. We'll move to the delegations. And first we have the MEA >> with um Crystal Norman here to report. We're glad you ladies are here. Thank you. Hello, Crystal Norman from Grant Elementary. I teach first grade. >> And I'm Charlie Kinanes. I teach third grade at Grant as well. >> She is one of our reps for well, she is my I am the board member. She is the rep for Grant Elementary. Um, we wanted to start just by thanking you for all the planning and discussions that go into the boundary realignment. We as teachers know that a lot of time and work go into those major changes. So that was one of the
003things we wanted to thank you for. >> Um, as a teacher, I'd like to thank the district for providing that lunchon every year. We look forward to it. Um, again, it's always allergy friendly, so that really helps. And again, December busy time, looking forward to one less lunch to prepare. So, always nice to see everyone in December. Thank you. >> And then, um, finally, we just wanted to Thank you to you in general for always supporting teachers and it helps us feel feel seen and heard and so we appreciate you guys. >> That's all we have for tonight. >> Appreciate you. Thank you so much. >> Then we'll uh the Murray Association of >> That's okay. >> Okay. So, we're going to excuse um the administrators and the support professional associations tonight. It is December.
004Um, and then we've got Doug with the MEF. >> Richard said to make this really fast. So, um, so we have uh we have opened up our pickle ball tournament. So, that's going to be January 29th and 30th. We're starting to look forward to that. Um, got some big plans for that at Murray Sports Mall this year. Next next year, uh, Pinnacle nominations are collecting. We're getting lots of those coming in. So, that's fun to see. And uh and then our angel tree. We've uh just kind of wrapping that up. We're at the distribution stage where we've collected everything and uh now starting to parse it out to families and students that are in need. So, we're very pleased uh that we were able to help about 600 kids this year, plus about 50 families
005with some gift cards and uh collected about $33,000 in cash. So, we're really excited about that. And then just today I picked up three truckloads full of extra toys um that we can use to supplement some of the um additional kids that come along or things that needs that we have. A lot of it is um like learning tools and and puzzles and art supplies and those kinds of things that we can use year round, not just at Christmas. So it's really nice of the uh Road Home to donate their extra um items that they collected this year. So anyway, that's all Right. Thank you. And did we have any patron statements this evening? >> All right. So, we'll move right on to the reported board. If we could start down here with you, Jarren.
006>> Sure. I've been enjoying the one the uh holiday lunches that I've been able to attend. It's good to see um the turnout that we're having and it I've enjoyed the uh change in menu. Not that the menu was ever bad, but it's just been a fun change. Um and just looking forward to attending a few more. Um, we didn't have our county advisory board meeting that I attended this month, so there's not a thing to report there, but u just forward to continue to move forward. Looking forward to the USBA conference first of next year. >> All right. Thank you, Jill. >> Um, I also have enjoyed the lunches and and the conversations that you have with staff um both with the teachers and with our district office staff. Those have really been enlightening
007to me and and enjoyable to me. Um, I'm looking forward to the USBA conference where our attendance team will be presenting and I'm I'm really excited to see that uh be that information be available to other school boards in the state. It's just been a great time. >> Thank you. And can we um I don't have anything to report that hasn't already been said. That's a bit um I don't have much to report. Uh tonight I'm going to head out a little bit early to go over to Hillrest's holiday concert. If you'll excuse me for that, I'll leave about 6 if we if we need to leave early because we're getting it's going pretty quick. So, um other than that, I hope everyone has happy holidays. >> Excellent. Thank you. Um, and then I'll just
008echo, I love watching the camaraderie that our administrators and teachers have in each building, and that is one of my favorite parts about the lunches is, um, there's such good people that we have in this district and to see them support each other. Um, I love it. um and I serve on the partners for prevention coalition and it's been um really cool because it's kind of we're we've been building the foundation and it's starting to take off and we started talking about some of the sharp data and excited to get dig deeper into that and see what the community stakeholders can do to help support our kids. Um I've been really impressed with the winter charity over at the high school and the um sub for Santaas that our junior highs do. Um it is
009amazing to watch students lead and they do amazing things. the Marie Idol the other night was absolutely fantastic and um just attending the different leadership things that students do in the district and watching the Spartan Summit and the adviser couldn't make it for another meeting and so they had one of the student body officers pull up his presentation and conduct the meeting and um I just am really proud of our students all the way around and just want to echo on um what Doug reported with the 600 children that have been served by the community going into the kickoff at the mall and seeing that support. Um, seeing because we're at the schools for the lunches, we're also seeing a little peek into the behind the scenes where I saw one woman pull up to
010a school with an entire pickup truck full. She had two bikes and presents that they were gifting to the students at that school. And I'm just hearing about different community partnerships. It's just amazing to know that people care about our students more than just the people that they're with every day in their public education experience. Um, so I'm just grateful to be part of this amazing community. And that's it for the report of the board. So we'll move to the report of the staff and we have some guests tonight for our audit report. Thank you. >> Thank you and thank you for having us today. Uh I should mention we previously met with the audit committee prior to this meeting and went in some additional detail, but just want to highlight the services that we
011provide to the district in our reports on those. First, we've been engaged to perform an audit of the financial statements and we issue an opinion on those financial statements. That opinion is the financial statements present fairly in all material respects the financial position and activities of the district. The second audit report we issue is in accordance with uniform guidance or federal single audit. You receive federal awards and as a condition of those awards, you're required to go through a compliance audit and we issue an opinion on compliance. This year we performed an audit of your special education program and we issue an opinion that the district complied in all material respects with the compliance requirements outlined with the federal compliance requirements related to uh your special education program. The final audit we issue is in
012accordance with the state compliance audit guide. So each year the office of the Utah state auditor issues an audit guide specifying specific compliance requirements outlined that they uh invite us to perform an audit of and we issue an opinion on compliance that the district complied in all material respects with the compliance requirements outlined in the state compliance audit guide. Overall a very boring report from an auditor um but that's what you want. Uh so we express our appreciation to uh you as a governing body for establishing a tone of control and an environment in which encourages compliance and fiscal responsibility um and express appreciation to to management for their assistance through the audit. Any questions? >> I'd just like to say although the report may be boring, the auditors are not boring. They are they
013are amazing and uh we we certainly appreciate the professional and um supportive manner in which they perform the audit. They they uh help us in a lot of ways and uh we certainly appreciate their efforts and uh their professionalism. Thank you. >> And I'll just add to that, it's not lost on us the importance of our stewardship over taxpayer funds and I appreciate that there's so many checks and balances to make sure things are run as they should. And so I appreciate your part and our part in in being wise stewards. Thank you. All right. And then we've um have director Tagert with a bond project updates. >> Okay. Um with the bond projects, we'll start with a kind of a report on the high school. Um, if those of you that attended the the
014lunchon at the high school the other day can see it's it's um you can definitely see what the outline's going to be. The masons are basically finished. Um they I mean there's a handful of things that they need to complete, but basically they're topped out. Um they're starting to put the steel on the third floor and to put the trusses on for the roof. Um, the first floor is pretty much all framed out as well as all of the plumbing, the the rough plumbing and the the duct work. They're moving to the second floor. They're making preparations so they can actually uh get the deck on um on the third well, I guess technically the deck's already on on the third floor, but we're talking the roof itself. Uh but it's um coming together very
015well and it's on schedule. Uh moving to the junior high. Um, still schedule's looking good. We had a small slight delay with some some steel that we were waiting on. Um, but it is all on site. That includes all of the all of the structural steel as well as all of the decking. And that was that was kind of a small two-e delay, but we were fine that way. Um with the with the junior high um there's still uh it's been nice because you have different locations. So we have the Masons that are working over and they're they're putting up the the walls which would be like the band room, the orchestra room just to the west of the the tiltup auditorium. Um the framing in the office is in the office area is going
016on as well as the the rough plumbing and the duct work there. Um they are they've they're putting the deck on for the second half of the um second floor. I mean there was a picture of us standing on the on the deck right there. So that area underneath is where they're doing the framing just to the if you were to actually turn around with the guy at the red shirt and the BDK if he was to actually face the other way that area they're putting they've got the steel in place they're putting the deck on and they're hoping to do the pour on that next week. So, that's coming together. The section between the gym and the classroom area, the classroom areas where the locker rooms will go. Um, they're doing the footings, the
017rough plumbing there, and that's coming together nicely. So, um, all things all things are coming together and it looks we're still we're still on schedule. So, any questions? >> Thank you. >> If I could just add, going over at that tour was absolutely phenomenal. And I thought it was really interesting where he mentioned that there's going to be different like heaters and stuff going on and so if people see something at night. >> Yes. >> That that's what's happening. They have to keep temperature for curing and different things. So I just in a public meeting thought that maybe I'll mention that. >> No. And that's that's good because we actually we actually had that happen where um was it was it Murray Citizens? Is that what they it came up in seven and they said
018well looks like there's a fire at at Riverview Junior High. And so we were like, "Oh no." So I had um Rod Pace go over and looked and he says, "Well, there's no fire." He says, he said, "Wait a second." And then he went around the backside and they had they had done a pour inside and it was all tinted off. So with Visine, but the burner was just to keep the temperature up. But with the plastic on the outside and the and that burner, it looked like there was a fire. There was a a glow, but but it's safe cuz I was thinking there's not anything on that site that that's flammable at this point. It's just steel and and concrete and cinder block. But anyway, but you're right. And it does in those
019areas where they have the burners going under um that are surrounded in plastic. It does look like that there's a fire, but it's just a it's just nice warm area so the concrete can can cure. So, >> but I'd say if there's any concerns, still call cuz >> Yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely. Yes. >> But just for curious people. Um and then also just I don't know construction so I was blown away. And the little robot that's drawing >> Yeah. >> where the walls go and I'm like this is the coolest stuff ever. So >> yeah, >> it was really really fun to be part of that. It's amazing to me honestly to to go and you see, you know, you got people working over here and you got people working over here and eventually those two
020things meet and you know it's it's just >> magic. >> Yeah, magic. >> I love it. Thank you. >> Thank you for all your hard work. >> And then next is um we've got Gwen. Hey Cochen, while you come up, thank you for all of your work on these lunches. It's been amazing. >> Oh, you're welcome. We appreciate doing it for you. Uh the ladies always have fun getting outside of the kitchen and providing meals for appreciative adults and having adult conversations. So, thank you for letting us do that. Um just a couple things before I get to the fall survey. Um Long View today, well, let me back up. Um when you contract with Sedexo, we have a third-party audit um company that comes in and and chooses one school to audit every year.
021And that occurred today at Long View. Um and um it was great. We did well. So what the third party company does is they actually it's a double audit. It's a food safety audit and a a physical safety audit. So they're looking at the things that we do to keep the food safe, but then they're also looking at things that we do to keep people safe. Um and so on the physical audit, we got a 100%. So that's great. We can't do any better than that. And then on the food safety audit, we got a 97. So, that's still passing. That's still really good. Um, and it just came down to a couple of temperatures on food. Um, he tempted some hot food that we had on the line and, um, it was not quite
022at 140 where it needed to be sitting and we realized it was because one of the maintenance gentlemen had come in to repair our steam wells and had turned them off and we didn't think about removing the food. So, we removed the food, put it back in the oven, brought it back up to temp before we served it. And then the other one had to do with the fridge and some food in the fridge. So, we're going to monitor the fridge and make sure that it is at the temperature it's supposed to be at so the food can stay cold where it's supposed to be at. So, we did really well. So, I just wanted to let you know about that. Um, and then um the fall survey. So, we we've been running a survey
023for um almost a month now. I think the last day will be next Friday. Um, and so I've kind of dived into that to see where we're sitting. Um, and it it was a little heavy. It it it was um something that made me feel heavy. Um, it's not all bad. There are good things, but I I took some of it on quite personally. um not only for myself but for the ladies who try very very hard to make sure that we're providing the meals that we can and should for the students of Murray. So um it's pretty much open to everybody. Um we had about 415 people respond so far. Uh 14% of that is faculty, 34% is students, and 51% is parents. of that percentage, 23% is high school, 33% was junior high,
02448% was elementary, which we can assume is probably mostly parents. Um, and then go ahead. >> Um, yeah, next slide. Um, the next question was, "How often do you eat at school?" 15% said never, 37% said sometimes, and 48% said every day. So, obviously that's we're going to focus on the everyday. Um, but we'll also be hoping to catch some of those sometimes and bring those up to every day. Um, we've tried a lot of new food this year as I've as told you before. So, one question was, "Do you try new food at school that you don't try at home?" 47% said yes and 53% said no. So, that was kind of fun to see. Um, uh, one of the questions was, uh, do you finish all your food and if not, why? So
02557% of the respondents said they don't have time to finish their lunch. And we hear this all the time. Um, and of course it comes back on us. And so what I've done is I have gone to the schools and I've waited till the line is as long as it's going to get and I've watched that last person in line and I watch them until they get their food, get through the cash register and headed to a table. At max it's five minutes. Um, and so I feel that our team is is expediting these kids through the line as quickly and as fast as they can. Um, so I I don't know where that perception is coming from that they don't have time except that in some of the other questions and answers that we
026see there there are reasons they want to get out to recess. Um, friends are a distraction. Um, one even said um, I have ADHD and sometimes the medicine I take makes me not hungry and I don't want to finish my food. So, there's lots of different reasons why that that is happening. 16% said the food is cold. 17% said they don't like it. 23% said they weren't hungry. 19% said there's other reasons why um they they don't finish their meal. Another question that was asked was about the servers. Um 87% said we have friendly servers, which was super good to hear. We want to make sure that our our servers and our cashiers are friendly to the students because sometimes that might be the only friendly face that they see. Um, and then 79% of
027respondents said that our meals are served quickly. So, that was really good to see too because like I said, some of this was really heavy and you hear we don't have time and and all these things. You're like, what what do we do? We're trying to do the best that we can. So, it's nice to see that 79% said that our meals are served quickly. Um, things that are not a big hit. Um the and I I thought it was funny how it was described adult food and exotic food. Um and I threw in the ethnic food just to make sure we understood what we were talking about. Um salad is not a big hit. This came mostly from the elementary schools. Um and then I had I know it was a teacher because she
028said in my classroom. Um and just to make sure we don't know who they are. It's very generic information that we get. She doesn't like breakfast in the classroom. Um, so those things are not a big hit. Um, and then here are some of the favorites. These are not new. This was not a surprise to us. Uh, pizza, chicken nugs, hot dogs, corn dogs, sandwiches, which include PB&Js from Snuckers, Smuckers, sorry, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, nachos, and burgers. Um, and then on a scale of one to five, how how are we doing? One being the lowest. Our food is right in the middle at 3.4. the atmosphere, which we personally don't have a lot to do with because the question referred to decor and noise and lighting and friends and that type of thing,
029we're at 3.4 and then um staff and services at 44 4.3. So, um we're in the middle of the road for some of the stuff and some of the other things were were up on that high end which we again liked seeing. Um, I met with our team, the leads and the supervisors at 2 o'clock today, shared this information with them. Um, and we've talked about, you know, what can we do? Where do we need to improve based on the things um that we've seen in the survey, the comments and everything. Um, and so one of the things that we decided was really important was education for the community as a whole. um because some of the things we can clearly see that they don't understand where our limitations are nutrition-wise, what we can and
030what we can't provide. Um and so we we want to get together and try and come up with some things that we can put out on social media. Um do some quick little 30 second videos, maybe get students involved to to do the talking, to do the filming, do um things like that. So, we'll meet again and and we'll figure out what we can do to um educate parents um and even educate students. And then, of course, we're going to evaluate ourselves and where can we improve to make sure the food's hot, not overcooked. All of those comments that came across the board. So, that's where we are on that. Any questions? >> I don't have a question, but I have a comment. I really appreciate the new changes that have taken place on the
031menu and especially the trying new foods sections. My junior high kid, that's his favorite um section to order his lunch off of is the I for I forget what you call it. >> Adventure Lunch. He loves the adventure lunch. So, I just want to say that thank you for that because I think that brings a lot of new and interesting things for our kids. So, >> and our ladies love that line. They didn't used to love that line, but it used to be called creations and they were like, "Oh, we don't really like." So, we changed to the adventure line. They've really enjoyed. >> Yeah, he really likes it. >> Good. That's good to hear. Thank you for sharing that. Anything else? >> All right. Great. Thanks for your time. >> Thank you and thanks
032for what you do for our students. Um, next we've got some um book recommendations and we'll start with the um the elementary book recommendations with director Taylor. Thank you. >> Hi. And this is probably new for you guys to have this um as Dr. Echler and I have been looking over policy changes and state mandate changes with um textbook adoptions and things like this. We recognize that specifically the elementary, which we historically have not brought to the board for approval, has just been going through a review committee, really isn't in compliance with that any longer. And so um because the books that are being approved are used as um instructional materials, it's non- textbook, but instructional materials rather than just supplemental materials. There is a need for us to bring these to you. So, we
033just wanted to let you know that um our committee just recently met and we reviewed four books. Three of which the committee um unanimously felt comfortable recommending that it move forward for an approval by the board to adopt those in the grade levels. And I'm not going to go into all the details. There is a lot of information on here um in the things that the superintendent has attached to the agenda so that you can see those individual books that are there. Um we've linked the common sense media information as well so that you have access to those pieces um and what grade levels we're looking to approve those for. One of them um just was not a unanimous decision and we have not felt comfortable moving forward with recommending books that are not unanimous
034amongst the committee knowing that our committee members are made up of our committee is made up of a variety of parent representatives, school representatives, all coming from different experiences and walks of life. And the one that we chose not to move forward with um was very heavy. And for any students that maybe have gone through a refugee type situation, we just felt like it was a little too sensitive to approve at the elementary level, uh perhaps could be more appropriate at the middle school level, even even for sixth grade in that realm, knowing some of the context and the other supports that they're receiving at that level rather than at the elementary level. So, um this is just a first reading. We wanted to put that out there for you and we will be looking
035for an approval at the next board meeting on that questions. >> I was sad to see that one because I remember my I have not read it but I remember my kids reading it and a lot of dinner conversations because it really uh changed their paradigm and made them think about things they never had before. Um and so just interesting space that we're in here with books and things. But I do appreciate that books are able to change paradigms and have our kids think about things they wouldn't normally. And I appreciate that there's a process so that we are presenting good materials to our students >> and and ultimately it was just we couldn't ensure the sensitivity of that material and that that was the discomfort with that one in particular because it is a
036very heavy >> quick read but heavy. So any other questions? >> Okay. >> All right. Thank you for your time with the committee and everything. And then we've got the um secondary level with uh Dr. Ashler. Thank you. >> And for the secondary, we only have one book and I figured I might as well just since there's only one book. There it is. So the high school um submitted uh The Small and the Mighty by Sharon Macauen. And uh it was again as director Teao said we recently had our committee. Um it's made up of achievement coach educators from each school and also parents um and an administrator from the high school since there was only the high school being represented. The high school would like this to be considered for 11th grade. It ties
037very well in with 11th grade US history. It's a non-fiction text that basically kind of outlines um a variety of as the author puts it less known historical figures and from the 18th and 20th sorry 18th and 19th century mostly and again it was a unanimous um recommendation from the committee. Um I added some additional information regarding the standards and some of the reviews that you can look at. Again, this is a first read, first review, so first reading. So, if you would like to know more information and you have questions this evening, I'm willing to take those or we can discuss some more in study session. >> You said this is a non-fiction. >> This is non-fiction, correct? >> Yeah. >> Good. >> All right. Well, hey, thanks for your time with your committee
038on that one, too. and then we'll turn it to the superintendent now. >> Great. Thank you. The first um item I have is for the approval of the interlocal agreement with Murray City and Murray City School District for the mutual use of facilities. This is something the board has seen a few times. We discussed it um in a study session and we have also discussed it with the city council at our coordinating meeting. What this is is an update of our interlocal agreement for the mutual use of facilities and through discussions with our city council as well as the mayor and his staff. Um, we have agreed that we will not be charging one another, which we've done in the past, but we just codified that in here. And also that the cost of the
039student or excuse me, the school resource officers will be paid for by Murray City moving forward, which we very much appreciate that. So, this just kind of details all of that. Um, it's an update. It hadn't been updated for several years. we felt like it was a good time to do that and we looked at some data from each other and feel like this is in a good place. So, um again this was approved by the city council at their meeting. I believe it was two weeks ago and so I am looking for a motion and an approval for this um from the school district and then those will both be we both entities will have approved it. Prior to that, if you have any questions, it has not changed since we have reviewed it
040previously, but if there's any questions or you'd like me to highlight any portion of it, I would be happy to do that. >> I just had a question when I looked at it. Um, and I didn't see that. Is there a time frame on this agreement or is it just until revoked or until >> uh let's see. Let's see. I don't think we put a specific time frame on it. We did say that either one of us could change it with uh by by meeting together but I don't think there is a time frame on one actually I do remember that because we did discuss that we we have not been great at adhering to our time frames. So um >> so it's basically in in in effect until one of the entities decides to
041>> bring it correct any changes >> we can bring it at any point and change that. So, and I do appreciate that our city is >> good to do that. So, yes, we did not put at any point we can come and say we'd like to revisit this. >> Okay, perfect. Great question. >> Excellent. All right. So, with um that is there a motion? >> I move that we approve the Murray City Murray City School District interlocal agreement. >> All right. Is there a second? I second. Any other discussion? Excuse me. All in favor? >> I. >> Any opposed? All right, that passes. Great. And with typically I have signed those interlocal agreements. If the board is okay, I will continue to sign those. Um, they are using a digital signature platform moving forward. So,
042I will sign that and then make sure we have copies. So, and then the second one is also another interlocal agreement with Murray City and Murray City School District. uh we felt that it was time to update our school resource officer interlocal agreement. This was important due to changes in state law, the school safety measures and some of the things that have been that we've seen. Again, our our school school resource officer interlocal agreement had not been updated for quite some time. So, I appreciate the work of the uh police department going through this, looking at it. We have also been highly involved in this as a district. I have been. I appreciate that. So, it's just updated to hopefully provide some more clear um communication. This one does have a time on it simply
043because we want to make sure that we're able to review this one. This is kind of a little bit bigger one because we're dealing with personnel in our school. So, we did set a time on this that it will go through June 30th of 2023. So every five years we would like to look at that and do that or make sure that we what we're saying is still needed. What we did find in the old SRO agreement was there's a lot of things that became out of date just because things change in in a period of time. So we really wanted to be able to make sure we do that. Um it does automatically renew unless we we request a termination. So but it is quite extensive. It is now 18 pages, but we feel
044like we've got this in a really good spot um with some good responsibilities for our SRO's, what they are responsible for, the dos and do nots, things that they can do, the things that the district is responsible for. And we feel like, and again, I know the board has seen this. We've got it's there's a lot in here. Um, but we feel like we've got a lot of things that have been practiced but not necessarily written down. And we wanted to make sure that we had it written down. So, it's really clear what the responsibilities of the SRO are, SR, and what the responsibilities of the school are and what those responsibilities of the district are. So, I don't know if you I mean, we've looked at this a bit. Um, if you have any
045questions, anything that I can answer, as a reminder, we do have SRO's assigned to Hillrest, Riverview, and Murray High School. The police department has also been great, and they have assigned an additional officer who has been doing a lot with our elementarymentaries as well, Officer Miles. Um, although not specifically assigned just to elementarymentaries, he has been an incredible resource and we appreciate that. Does he fall under this same agreement then? >> He doesn't. He's not an SRO. No. So, he is not he doesn't fall under this. He is not considered a school resource officer by title, but he is a resource for our elementary schools. Um, one of the reasons they have done that is because the school safety legislation does say that we need to have uh coverage from bell to bell. And typically
046what has happened is our SRO's have covered elementary schools, but when they go to cover a need in an elementary school, that leaves that secondary school without that coverage. And so I really appreciate Murray police who has tried to figure out a way to lessen that. We also have um some fill-in officers who when our SRO's need to go to training, they're making sure there's coverage at those secondary schools where we do have an assigned SRO. >> Thank you. Man, I appreciate our police department. All right. Do we have a motion? I move that we approve the um Murray City interlocal agreement. Murray City School District interlocal agreement for school resource officers. >> Thank you. And is there a second? >> I second. >> All right. Any further discussion? Okay. All in favor? >> I
047I any opposed? Okay, that passes. >> Great. I will sign that one as well and get both of those to um Doug Hill is coordinating that at the city level. So, I will get those done and sent over to him tomorrow. Um my third item is my current contract does expire June 30th of 2026. And I would just like to ask um for consideration for a contract renewal request. It does not need to be done in this meeting. I know the board likely would like to think about that. Um, but I would like to put it out there that hopefully in the next few months if a decision could be made so I can make sure I know which direction I am going to be able to go as well. So, um, just put that
048out there. We do do contract renewal requests for for two years and so it would be for the period of July 1st of 2026 through June 30th. Uh, that should be June 30th, not June 20th, June 30th of 2028. So, I will leave that. I know that, you know, you as a board can talk. I have prepared a document based on the evaluation that was done last November that I have been working from this year with some goals that I'm happy to share with you kind of areas that I think that were noted on that evaluation where I feel like I could be doing some additional things and so I've tried to set some personal goals on that and I'm happy to share that with you if that would be helpful. Um, I'm also happy
049whatever process you would like to go through if you want to come in and shadow me for a day, whatever you would like. I am Yeah, there you go. >> Might have nightmares. >> It might not be as fun as you think. So, >> it sounds exhausting just thinking about >> um but you're more what whatever the board needs or information that you'd like to provide or if there is feedback that the board would like to me prior to considering a contract renewal, I am very open to that. So, I will leave that there. And then we as the district do not have any need for a close session at this time. I don't know if the board has anything they would like to go into close session for that falls under personal property or
050legal. >> We would. Okay, great. >> So Jared, >> yes. >> Kim, >> yes. >> Elizabeth, >> yes. >> Thank you. And I'm a Yes. So with that, we'll close this um open board meeting and take a short little recess. >> Yeah. you. >> Great. >> Thank you. Thank you, district office, for being here. Thanks for being our audience tonight. >> I need to grab my water bottle. I forgot.
