Defense! >> Good evening. Hello, I'm Mr. LaFleur. I'm the music teacher at Jefferson Elementary. Welcome tonight's fourth and fifth grade concert. A couple things before we start. If you need to use the restroom, if you head towards the gym just past the school store, the restrooms are there. If you need to get up and leave at any time during the concert, please do it between songs. And then any electronics you have, if you would put that on silent, that would be great. Last thing on the back of the program, we have a little flyer. It is month March is our art month as well. And there's a little art walk going through town. Some of our students displays will be these establishments in town along with stuff at our school. So, feel free to get

out and check out some of their artwork and the amazing things they're doing in art class. But for now, we'll get on with the show and we'll have our fourth graders come on up. >> [applause] >> 76 trombones [music] led the big parade with 110 cornets [singing] close at hand. There were rows and rows and rows of the finest [music] virtuosos and cream of every famous band. 76 trombones [music and singing] caught the morning sun with 110 cornets close behind. There were thousands of reeds [music] springing up like weeds. There were horns >> [singing] >> of every shape and kind. There were 50 mounted CANNONS [music] IN THE BATTERY THUNDERING, thundering louder than [music] before. There were clarinets of every size and trumpeters who improvised a >> [music] >> octave higher than the score. 76

trombones have to count their points. >> [music] >> 110 more left weights away. To the heart, heart, heart, all the kids [music and singing] began to march and the marching still right today. >> [music] [music] [applause] [music] >> Have you ever felt like nobody [music and singing] was there? Have you ever felt like [music and singing] lost in the middle of nowhere? Have you ever felt [music and singing] like you could disappear? Like you could fall and no [music and singing] one would hear. So let that lonely [music and singing] feeling wash away. Because maybe there's a reason [music] to believe you'll be okay. Cuz when you feel strong enough to stand, >> [music] >> you can reach, reach out [music] your hand. And though, >> [music and singing] >> someone will come running, and

I know >> [singing] >> they'll take you [music] home. Even when the dark comes crashing through, when you need a friend to carry you, when you're broken [singing and music] on the ground, you will be found. So, let the sun [music and singing] come streaming in, cuz you'll reach up, and you'll rise again. Lift your [music] head and [singing] look around. You will be [music] found. You will [singing and music] be found. There's a place [music] where we don't have to feel alone. >> [music] >> And though you're falling off, you're a little [singing] less alone. If you only say the words, across [music and singing] the silence, your voice is heard. And though, >> [singing and music] >> someone will come running, and I know >> [singing] >> they'll take you [music] home. Even

when [singing] the dark comes crashing through, [music] when you need a friend to carry you, and when you're broken on [music] the ground, you will [singing] be found. So, let the sun come streaming in, cuz you'll reach [music] up, and you'll rise again. Lift your head and [singing] look around. You [music] will be found. You [singing] will be found. Even [music] when the dark comes crashing through, when you need a friend to carry you, and when you're broken [music and singing] on the ground, you will be found. So, let the sun come streaming in cuz you'll reach [singing] up and you'll rise again. [music] Lift your head and look around. You will be found. You [music] will be found. >> You will [singing] be found. You will be found. [singing] [music] >> [applause] [applause] >>
