Thank you. Oh yeah. Bye. Maybe next time. One of the best people. Great. time. Yeah. But then she said boyfriend. I'll put this here. Hello everybody. Thank you so much for joining us for our coral festival today. Um, this year we are really excited here at Beaver Dam High School. We are celebrating our 100th season of the Beaverdam High School choirs and I asked the middle school if they would be willing to help us out and celebrate that this year. So, um, the concert you'll see tonight, we're going in chronological order. If you took a look at your program, you'll see that we're going in chronological order. Usually, we go like youngest group to oldest group for this uh for this concert. This year, we're going in order from the 1920s um up until the
0022020s. uh one group per song and then we'll finish all together. Um so usually right now you'd see all of the middle school choirs head on stage. Um but we're going to have uh two high school groups and a middle school group. Um we've got four ac capella groups between the two schools that'll also be performing today. So it should be a whole lot of fun. But as you can see as the students are heading on stage, it's maybe not quite as organized as our other concerts because uh we only had one chance to put it all together today. Um, so we're gonna do the best we can. Um, and hopefully have a good time, um, making some music for you along the way. Um, I think I'm going to leave it at that for
right now and I will, uh, talk to you more in a little bit. >> [cough] >> Who is this? >> [music] [music] >> Oh, the shark has [singing] pretty deep [music] and he shows them [music and singing] white. [singing] [chant] >> [applause] >> And the sixth graders will now take us into the 1950s with Fly Me to the Moon. Another one that was remade, probably more famous to most of us, is Frank Sinatra's 1964 version of this song, which was closely associated with the Apollo missions to the moon. >> [music] [music] [singing] >> to the moon and let me [music] among the [singing] stars. 009[music] Darling, [singing] won't you fill my heart with song and let me sing forever more? You [music and singing] are all I long for, all I worship and [music and singing] adore. [music] [applause] All right, this is our big transition time. Give us couple minutes. We'll get there as quick and efficiently
as we can. As we transition, I just wanted to quickly uh make a note for some high school parents um especially those of students that are going to go to New York with me in March. Um, this Wednesday or Thursday during class, I'm going to have a meeting with the students to explain a lot of expectations, what to bring, what the schedule's going to look like, how things are going to work. If you um, as parents are interested in hearing that information directly from me, um, this Wednesday at 5:00, I will be having a meeting. It's going to be the same information for the students, but if you want to hear from me personally, if you want to have a chance to ask me questions directly instead of over email or whatever, five o'clock on
Wednesday, um that's when we're going to have a meeting. Um if your students want to hear the info again, that's totally fine by me. Um just want everybody to be aware. Um really getting excited about that. The students are getting excited. Um it'll be a great time. Those of you um who are middle school parents, four years from now, the plan is that we'll be going again. We've been um this is the second time we're going, but the goal is to go every four years. So, what'll that be? I think the uh the entire current middle school students um plus I guess the current fifth graders in four years would be going on a trip. Did we do it? I talked enough time. Look at us go. It's like we've done it before or something.
All right. Um, next up, Varsity Choir takes us into the 1960s with The Lion Sleeps Tonight. Um, originally written as a South African song in the 30s. It was uh remade for um remade into an English song in ' 61. And I don't remember where I put my music. Give me a second. Oh no. >> Yay. on [singing] the way. We are on the way. I don't know where Mr. Lefver went, so I guess I'll introduce the next one. Um, clearly you can see why I talked him into introducing all the other songs. Um, so for the last portion of our middle school representing the um, 2000s, I'm Yours, originally written by Jason Morazz. >> [music] >> What? Now you [singing] done done me in your bed. I felt it.
