001loves it. Attention and all that excitement for him. Uh, also real quick, we want to introduce Coach Steinman and Coach Hawking. So, if you don't know either of these gentlemen, they're our coaches. Uh, both four black shells were born. So, there have been Evans coaches this year. So, these guys have been great. You guys have gone up here and I've seen two of us want to stand there and you know so you're you're the guest as well. Uh it is an exciting thing to uh have qualified for the state tournament. Uh Evan, you join a long line of tradition here at Blackhawk as well as Blackhawk Darlington and now Blackhawk Shelterburg. So congratulations to you. Uh I am going to ask you Evan to come on up here for just a minute. I know you
002love this. So come on up here if you want to pass by. Come on up here. Um, so Evan, few questions for you. Okay, >> first of all, who's your first match against >> Seth Gon from Cedar Grove, Belgium? >> And his record is >> 32-11. All we know is that he's going to be the only one later today, right? >> That's right. >> I love his confidence and that's great. So, Evan has, as you guys know, has qualified and does uh wrestler this evening. What time? >> Uh, weighed at four. wrestle at 6. >> There you go. We'll be wrestling at 6:00. Evan, unofficial record, this isn't what list is listed, right? But unofficial record this year is >> your your your record. >> Oh, my record is I think 32 and three. >>
00332 and three. Is he right? Yeah. Yeah. Good deal. Uh it's so awesome, right? Exciting year. Did you think you were going to make it the state tournament when you started this whole thing this year? >> Yeah. >> Family did. By the way, uh Evans said that he'd take on Madison right now, right here. So, uh Addison just turned you down. Just want you to know. Um well, again, we support you. Obviously, the school districts, uh both Blackhawk, Shelberg, uh Warren all support you and are excited about your opportunity uh to go. Uh I'm going to turn it over just for a second to uh Coach Steinman uh so you can say a little bit about Evan if you'd like. Uh, and then also introducing us to Josh or he's he gets the he gets
004the mic. Man of many words by the way. >> Yeah. You know, great year. Started off a little little tough. Got sick in the second, but kind of a rag tag schedule, short schedule. We're not quite there, but we're we're starting all over, you know. Everybody's zero and zero going into going in this weekend. >> All right. Uh most of us have not had the opportunity this year, first year in our co-op triyout. Uh and so uh I feel somewhat bad because we weren't able to schedule a home meet here. Uh that's in the future plans. So we're looking forward to having that happen. But one of the things I did ask Coach Diamond and Coach Hawking to do is to introduce the wrestlers that did wrestle because some of you as people here at
005the district are probably not even aware of all the individuals who wrestled. I personally as an athletic director, I mean, I was kind of in the dark about everything, but feel like you guys had a very successful year uh on many different fronts. So, uh Noah and Josh, if the two of you, however you want to do this, could just introduce the team. >> All right, everybody down here. And then my dad and my mom. >> Where do you go to school, Tucker? >> Um, high school. >> What high school? All right. >> Black go to shelter back to go to Blackhawk. We do have one more wrestler, Tommy Downing, that isn't here today. Um, but yeah, like coach said, it's it's been a it's been an odd season with just starting out as a
006call out try out. Um, We got a long ways to go and this group it's it's been great. So hopefully next year next so uh very supportive heaven uh our schools are family great to see you guys here being part of this as well. Uh I've asked our cheerleaders if they would please do the school song. So, if you guys are already ready to go. Yeah. Okay. Are you ready? All right. Here we go. 1 2 3. You rock. You rock. 1 2 3 E I E I E I E I E I O E I E I E I >> Come on. Come on. E I E I E I E I O. Come on. Let's go. Come on. Let's go. middle schoolers and elementary kids. You guys are fantastic. I like the volume.
007>> High school kids. >> I prefer that volume in my classroom. By the way, your class has been really good. Um, so again, Evan, thanks so much. We have a several things for you. First of all, you receive a bunch of things from the elementary kids, right? probably many good well wishes and all the great things of elementary school and uh acknowledging your uh uh honor that you've done already so far this year. But I know that Mr. Seth over here has something for you as well. So Tucker, do you want to come out and give that to Evan? >> What do you have to say to Evan? >> Love you. Very good. How much how much pound is we allowed right now? Do you have you have room to grow a little better? >>
008He's Yeah. So, don't eat all this right now. There's another little gift here for you as well. So, lots of food and goodies in there. So, enjoy those as well. Um but again, good luck on behalf of the school, uh our staff, our students from both schools. Um thank you to Mr. Baylor who brought over the Shelterburg students today as well. Um good luck to you. Uh we know that you have a lot of support obviously from the family community as well as us as as parts of Blackhawk this week. So again, one more time, if you guys give it up for Evan, I'm going to discuss the middle schoolers first. You guys can head up to lunch. >> Oh my god.
