(upbeat music) (James) Okay, thank you very much for everyone's patience. We've finished our deliberations and we're reconvening into open session. Lynn, would you please read the motion? (Lynn) I move that Michael Hernandez be offered a contract to serve as the next superintendent of the Green Bay Area Public School District. (Samantha) Second. (James) All right, I'm gonna open the floor for discussion or comment, anyone? Andrew. (Andrew) Yeah, I think we were really in a great position and I'd like to thank our consultants from CESA 7 for probably the, not probably, for certainly the best superintendent search process that we've had and I believe I've been involved in six full traditional searches for getting us to a position where I think we had two outstanding candidates and we wouldn't have gone wrong with either selection. (James) Thank

you, others? Alex. (Alex) I would also like to add that as well, thank you to CESA 7 and their team. I'd like the community to know that the investment that we made in them to help us through this process was worth a million dollars and we paid but a penny. The services that we got gave us as good of a process and as informed of one as we could have had, taking in as much input as possible. We had two great finalists. My vote is reflective of a handful of particular lenses that I had a higher priority on to what I personally think we need. But with that being said, I think the candidate that we as a group have chosen has an immense amount of strong assets that will do our district well in

a lot of other ways as well. (James) Thank you, Samantha. (Samantha) I just wanted to take a moment to make sure that we thank all of our community members who showed up to participate in all of the feedback sessions throughout this entire process as well as all of our incredible staff who also participated with offering feedback throughout. It's been a whirlwind couple of days and it's been really really incredible to see all of the both community and staff support throughout that time. (James) Others. Jeanette. (Jeanette) Ditto, what everybody has said. Thank you, CESA 7 community. But I'd also like to thank my fellow board members. We had some very, very good conversations regarding all of our candidates and worked well together. It's been a difficult process, but I'd like to thank each and every one

of you for that we all listen to each other and we work together. And that's why we're sitting here tonight. So thank you. (James) Laura. (Laura) I don't really have anything to add to any of that too, other than to just add my profound gratitude to CESA 7, to Aaron in particular, and a process that was complicated and really intense at times. And I thought very thorough and I'm just really grateful. (James) Others. I'll just say that everyone speaks my mind, nothing left to say. Kinsey. (Kinsey) Meister. (Samantha) Aye. (Kinsey) Knill. (Jeanette) Aye. (Kinsey) Knill. (Jeanette) Aye. (Kinsey) Mineau. (Alex) No. (Kinsey) Gerlach. (Lynn) Aye. (Kinsey) Lyerly. (James) Aye. (Kinsey) McCoy. (Laura) Aye. (Kinsey) Becker. (Andrew) Aye. (Kinsey) Motion carries. (James) Right, thank you everybody. At this point, that is the end of our agenda

and I would entertain a motion to adjourn. - I move. Second. (Jeanette) Second. (James) Discussion, all in favor. Aye, thank you very much everybody.
