School District Jefferson Board of Education. We will start off with the pledge of allegiance. And the flag is in the back. Pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America to the republic for which it stands under God and justice for all. And Mr. Rick, would you have roll call, please? Mr. here. Mr. Eagle here. Mrs. Hudson here. Mr. Here, Mr. Phelps here. Here, Mrs. Here. All right. Thank you. All right. Now, for the fun part, we have recognitions. We're going to start off with our citizen of the month for each of the schools. And we'll start off uh with Mr. Wickman from East. All right, good evening. I get the great honor of introducing Stephanie Pal Matiel from second grade at East Elementary. And Stephanie is here with you tonight. Mom and

dad. All right. And is that your little sister? All right. Future son. All right. And first we're going to play a video in Spanish and then I'm going to do it in English. This is super Okay. All right. Now I'll read it in English. Here we go. Miss Wagner, our multilingual learner teacher, writes, "I am delighted to nominate Stephanie Palamino Montilio for the East Citizen of the Month Award. Stephanie has been a wonderful addition to East Elementary School and has brought so much joy to our school community since her very first day. In just two short years, she has made incredible progress in becoming bilingual through determination and a true love of learning. Miss Fisto, her classroom teacher writes, "Stephanie is a positive role model who leads by example through her kindness, responsibility, and strong

work ethic. She is a joy to have in the classroom." And Miss Nehemoth, our reading specialist, writes, "Stephanie has amazed me this school year. In our small group, her confidence in literacy has soared. She's been reading and writing a lot, and I'm so proud of her. She deserves the citizen of the month award for her dedication and perseverance. Thank you, Stephanie. Your inspiration to all. Keep shining. Next up for request, Mr. Howard. All right. Um, well, we have Lilith Schmidt. Lilith is a first grader at West Elementary. And Lilith, I'm gonna give you the microphone so you can introduce who you brought with you tonight. I brought my mom, my dad, and my brother. Very good job. All right, great job. You did great. Um, for this last one, I I actually asked the reading

team like, "Who's somebody that really knocked it out of the park this year? They really took the where they started the year, where they ended the year, and they just made this amazing progress." and the reading team picked Lilith and Miss Drager who worked with Lilith closely. She's also Mrs. Peters in the first grade class. It was a team effort and it was just great work. So, Lilith, here's what Miss Drager had to say about you and what a great job you did in reading this year at first grade. Uh Katie wrote, "I nominate Lilith Schmidt, Mr. Peterson's class as citizen of the month. Lilith has made tremendous growth in the area of reading. Her positive attitude and hard work have paid off. She has blossomed into a fluent reader, meeting her goals in both

word reading and oral reading fluency. As a result, she no longer qualifies for intensive reading support. She's doing a great job. Congratulations, Lilith. I am so proud of you. Leo Sch. Next, Miss Cross with elementary. Thank you. Good evening everyone. I'm excited to introduce to you Kenny Bridgemond. She is a kindergartener at Sullivan. And Kenny, who's here with you tonight? My mom and my dad. Well, thank you for being here tonight. Kenny is a great little kid. We have been very lucky to have three bridgemans that have come through Sullivan and she is the last one. So, I'm thankful she's only going to be in first grade next year because then we get her for a few more years. So, this is what Mrs. boss. Her kindergarten teacher had to say, "Cammy is a joy

to have in kindergarten. She's a motivated learner with a curiosity for learning. She is engaged and always does her very best work. She listens carefully to her peers and teachers. Cammy solves problems appropriately and is well-liked by her classmates. She is kind-hearted and makes classmates feel welcome. Cammy has a positive attitude and is a role model. We're very happy. So, congratulations, Cammy. Right. And then Okay. Mr. Layman with the high school. It is my honor to introduce Max Jerzik. Max, who's with you this evening? Who's in your entourage? I got the whole gallery. Got my parents, my grandma, and my little brother. Thank you for joining us this evening. Your little brother is very excited. So, you were nominated by a few of your teachers. Uh, Miss Free was the one that wrote the brief

statement. Uh, Max has been very involved both in and out of school with organizations such as FFA and 4, serving as leadership positions for both. Max is extremely helpful to teachers and other students, always offering help when needed. I've never seen him uh be anything but positive and respectful. Max is always trying to get other kids involved to work. He works hard in school and always is looking for ways to improve himself both academically and in a leadership role responsibility. I've seen Max in the hallways, excellent role model in the school, always smiling, positive energy, and positive energy spreads throughout. So once again, round of applause for Max Jerzik. Excellent. Next up is our Wisconsin Seal by Literacy. Do we have Good evening. I'm Ellen Spatali, one of our Spanish teachers here at the high

school in addition to being the district director of the seal of biiteracy. The Wisconsin State Seal of Biiteracy is a designation on a graduating senior's diploma and transcript attesting that the student has achieved intermediate high proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in two or more languages. a prestigious designation that shows a student is college and career ready. The seal can currently be awarded by only 41 districts statewide that qualify this year. In addition to me being personally delighted by hearing about Stephanie in both English and Spanish, uh we are recognizing and you will see them with the white honor cords at our graduation ceremony. um Carmen Cortez, Yareli Ramirez and Yenvasquez Lopez. Uh those three girls and two others couldn't be with us due to sports and work obligations. But I would like to

mention that in addition this year the department of public instruction has a new designation the distinguished seal of biioiteracy awarded to students who achieve advanced low proficiency in all four skills in both their languages. Those students are Andrea Mahia and Marlene Garcia. So thank you very much for applause for them in their absence. And then is Olivia Miller here? She's not, but I do have a slide to recognize her. Oh, perfect. My name is Amanda Wallace. Um, my name is Amanda Wallace. I am one of two high school counselors at Jefferson High School. Um Olivia is my student. I'd like to recognize our students who are um we do have a number of girls who are actually still considering one thinking about army and one who is number but Olivia is our only student right

now who has actively enlisted. Um she will be joining the duty training as a combat medic. Combat medics deliver emergency medical care in high pressure situations from accidents and n natural disasters to military training and operations. This year she also completed dual credit emergency medical responder training at Madison Area Technical College. So she will be ready for um the beginning of her career as a combat medic and is interested in uh continuing her education afterward into the medical field. So I guess round of applause for ladies and gender. Well, thank you. Um, do we still need photos of the citizen? Oh, okay. Perfect. Great. Uh, next up is going to be public comment. Of course, we always welcome comments from the public. Hopefully, we have a microphone. Is there anybody here to provide public comment?

Right. So, we are going to jump into the meat of the meeting here. Uh, if you are looking for an opportunity to escape, now would be a good time. If you want to stick around, you are more than welcome to stick around for the rest of the meeting. Next item on the agenda is going to be our consent agenda. This time consists of the minutes. Uh, the employment, no new employment. There is one resignation there. Appreciation of claims and accounts and a list of donations there. Any of this to be separated out or it can be taken all together in one motion. Is there a motion to approve the consent agenda as presented? So move second with motion and a second. Any further discussion? All in favor say I. I. Any oppose? Say n. Motion

passes. And I'm going to read the donations into the record here. We have uh several monetary donations to sponsor the Formula Student and Electrathon car. Uh Jones Dairy Farm donated $2,500. Goggger's bus stop donated $200. Shro's Autopros donated $1,000 and CIT Products donated 1,000. Separately, we had $2,222 monetary donation from the Greater Jefferson Fund to East for strumming up fund. $1,000 monetary donation from Greater Jefferson Fund to the high school for basics Thanksgiving meals. $300 monetary donation from Sammy Joe's Pizzeria to the middle school PTO from dine out fund raven. $100 monetary donation from the Optimus Club to Jefferson High School for AFS, $22.50 monetary donation from Nike from the employees donating their time during PE class at East Elementary, and then a $500 monetary donation to the Rotary Club of Jefferson to the high

school HOSA ILC students. So this month's total is $9,24.50 in school year to date to $118,22164 of support from the community. So thank you to all of them for the donations there. Next we are going to get into reports and we have our youth apprenticeship program swallace again and the mic works this time. Yes. Okay. Um I have kind of taken over coordinating our uh youth apprenticeship program the last couple of years. Um and one exciting statistic to note last year we had a a decent number of students enrolled in the program um actively working in the program. But for a number of reasons we don't always have those students complete the program. They don't always get enough hours. um paperwork isn't signed off and uh you know the Department of Workforce Development needs some

tees crossed and eyes dotted. They need that final paperwork. Um and so last year uh we had 20 certified completers at the end of their senior year. This year we're on track to have 36 certified completers in our youth apprentichip program. Um and so I'd like to recognize those students here tonight. Um we have shifted a little bit. uh because of typically typically these students are working and so they can't attend this evening. We will be honoring them moving forward at our academic and athletic awards ceremony during the school day um for two reasons. one, so that those students are typically uh more available to attend and receive the recognition, but also it's it's exciting for our younger students to see them, hear a little bit about those students in their employment um and have

something to maybe look forward to for their work. So, the students and employers will be recognized this Friday. Um so, Wisconsin's youth apprentichip program is a part of a statewide school to work initiative. For those who don't know, our students must have um 450 hours of work within a school year in addition to one credit of related classroom related classroom component. And so if a student is working, they must be taking a marketing or business class as well. At the end of the program, then a student earns a credit. They get paid for that on the job training. They get real work experience that they can add to their resume and take with them. Um, and then they also earn a state certified certification. This year, our youth apprenticeship staff at JHS include Corey Brewer,

Kim Hart, Lauren Fel, EJ Plarski, Eric Brooks as our um, educators teaching those uh, correlating coursework um, and doing some of the behind the scenes support with the employers and our students. And then myself as coordinator The following are our students who have been employed this year in agriculture. Logan Lindle has worked at Lindle Farms. Cora Moore at Tag Lane Dairy. Hannah Nebler at Brown effects landscaping. Hayden, sorry. Um Corey kind of does anything related to business, marketing, finance, and hospitality, tourism, and lodging. So, we've had Benjamin Armstrong at Fidelity Land Title. Ronan O'Reilly worked last year as a junior in our youth apprentichip program in manufacturing and has shifted this year to Century 21 integrity group in real estate. Alice Schultz has worked this year at Wisconsin Aviation. Harley Wagner at Insight FS and

she is going on for uh an accounting degree. She's worked in finance this year, an accounting degree, and wants to continue working in agricultural accounting. Yasen Garcia Gomez at Premier Bank. Addison Houston also at Premier Bank. Armine Franco Garcia at Badger Bank. Katie Shaw at County City Credit Union. Heather Alterat at A&W. Mackenzie Copelan at Harrington Town. Briden Crandle at Culver Johnson Creek. Mason Mers at Quicktrip, Dustin Bronstead at Goggards, Alex Garman at Menards, Jacob Kirkenbush at Pineco, Adeline Nelson at Ann and Taylor, and those are all of our business marketing and finance students. Um, in automotive and transportation with Mr. Polarski, we've had Evan Sugo at Shradle's Autopros. Um, and interestingly, he is one of our students working on our formulas and electroathon project. And so, he and Mr. Polki together were able to

um get some donation money from shles as well. And then in construction and manufacturing with Mr. Brooks, we have Kyle Jablonsky at Moss Brothers Construction. He also um has completed OSHA certification. Adel Serrano with Faith Technologies uh as an uh electrician apprentice. He has been hired on as an adult apprentice and since turning 18 all of those hours on the job have been able to count for his adult registered apprenticeship as well. Dylan Heler at Keem Bomb Iron and Metal Whitewater. Bryce Sterwald also at Keem Bomb Iron and Metal. Mason Hoffman at McDermott Top Shop. and Connor is completing his second year at McDermott Top Shop finishing a two-year youth apprentichip program. Hunter Mench at Jones Farm and Aiden Mitchell at Jones Dairy Farm. Both of those boys are um heading on to Blackhawk Technical

College in industrial maintenance and their programs are being paid for by Jones Dairy Farm so that they can come back and work for them in industrial maintenance. David Vasquez Contrarus is also at Jones Sam Gungle at Royal Printing. He's been hired on also as an adult apprentice following this program. Brady Croll is our first fulltime youth apprentice at Jefferson Fire and EMS and Protective Services. Lily Hansen at Home Again Assisted Living. Aubrey Coots at Sienna Crest Memory Care. And Alexis Ga at St. Peters in Helenville. Alexis Rue at Jefferson Public Library. And Maline Schuman is our very first um employee of the school district of Jefferson working in the youth apprenticeship program as a PAR educator at East Elementary. So again, a thank you to our employers um to our district for supporting these students

in their uh career readiness and continued work. Um, while on the job, they also have uh competencies that they must meet within their uh field of work. Um, and these students are doing a very nice job. I just finished all of their evaluations and they all have met um expectations on the job within those competencies or exceeded expectations. They're all doing a really nice job. We also work closely with Jefferson County School to Career Consortium for our support with paperwork, certifications, things like that. There's some photos students were excited to share some photos of them in action this year. Um, so we've got some students on farms at Jones doing some concrete work and some manufacturing work. We've got um Maddie in the bottom left at East with a student. Um, so they were excited

to share some photos. Any questions about our YA program or our current students with you typically only have juniors and seniors then? Yes, only juniors and seniors are allowed. They have must have completed their category here. Any other questions from Thank you so much. Sounds a good program. Thank you very much. Right. Then we got superintendent report for Dr. Erdis. So you'll find a memo with some information for you. uh couple things I wanted to point out this evening uh that I found interesting to share just as far as you know looking ahead future of Jefferson also the workshop that we have in July. Um so the Wisconsin policy forum report and I was lucky enough to be on the committee that helped inform parts of this report more specifically the schools and the school

district of Jefferson. Uh so you can see they put together a they published a report titled a growth opportunity how development impacts Jefferson County local governments. There's a small article in the newspaper about this and I think if you look at the report it warrants more interest from us and others. So uh I used my good old uh resources and did a slot analysis based on the larger report that you have a full copy of the report and I did put the full copy of the report in public content. So more people could read about this report but it is interesting to point out that we've had almost a 20% it's 19% drop in enrollment since 2015. A lot of factors for that. You can see the SWAT analysis does an executive summary or boils

down and really summarizes this this large report. Um so some strengths we've got room we have room for 100 additional students and if you look at the report you'll notice that there were a spike in in a good way in births in 2024 and 2025. personnel are old enough to be our students yet, but we could see an increase in some of those class sizes and our student our community has stepped up to close our budget gaps. Uh passing four referenda between 2015 2025. Uh we as I already mentioned a 19% drop on our student population over that 10-year period. And then also um we've had to do more but less when it comes to the budget. um our core revenues have fallen by 7.8% over the last de decade and we've had to um

ask the community to fill those gaps because and this is the same story that you've seen for 421 districts in Wisconsin. Uh the incre the increases or the amount of money from the state of Wisconsin has not met up with inflationary pressures especially since 2011. Uh so and here's the other weakness. Even having few fewer students, we have the same amount of roofs, we have the same amount of square footage, we have the same amount of parking lots, etc. So our fixed costs for debt, utilities and transportation have all um are all diff difficult to reduce. uh opportunities. Um there are you know if we have some single family home development the the number of kids that typically has come from the uh it was 100 or in this case 121 um single family homes

there's less students that come from the 121 homes that in the past just because of birth rate decline. Uh but if we had that, you can see what it would bring in in driven revenue limit authority. Uh and then also it's really important to point out that the county has a 1.5% vacancy rate for multifamily housing. So expanding apartment developments uh would definitely benefit what we have. Uh then finally the threats the net new construction rate falls below uh by 1% trailing the state average in inflation. To achieve the healthier 2% growth rate the city would need to add about 50 single family houses. And spoiler alert alert to the next piece, the MD roofers report, there are a lot of wheels in motion to get that housing on track with what the state average

is uh and to increase that in the city of Jefferson. So certainly our city manager and our mayor and our city council, they're doing what they can with the uh limited resources that we have. We are, you know, we got a river on one side and farmland on both sides of our city. So their development is square footage is certainly out of trends and possible uh futures and that leads into what I mentioned with MD roofers consulting report that is hot off the presses. We paid for that consulting. It's an 84 page report. So you look at it now we'll have a representative from MD roofers come to our board meeting either the second meeting in June or the first meeting in July. We're trying to coordinate schedule so we don't we have we can

balance our meetings. Uh but there's some good news uh in that report as far as enrollment is concerned. Um you can see that it provides projections all the way out to 2040 for that. And again I don't want to steal too much of that thunder because we will have a representative to really dig deeper into that report at a future board. The other thing I wanted to mention in my report tonight um is uh some things from uh at home you get the policy perspectives. So there's both May and June came in the mail for meeting. Uh and I want to point out a couple of things. The one policy perspective was on the school buses equipment and video audio recording. Uh the good news with that we have both our policies in alignment with

that and then now the law allow us for audio recording. The main purpose of that would be to to if it was something happened on a bus where we needed to uh share that information with law enforcement. That's the main reason behind that law. We're all in alignment with that. I'm happy to report. Um the other thing that I thought was interesting was the drones over school property. Again, we have the policy on that. That's 7440.03. That's all updated to make sure that we have the unmanned um flying of uh drones over our property as well. Basically, it's prohibited unless they get proper prior approval and I get to be the drone so to speak. Uh but those are new laws, policy perspectives. I know you get those at home. I want to make sure

that you have that information. And then another one that you've heard us talk about and I I know that uh appreciate Mrs. Grundle for taking the lead on this. That's the ADA title 2. It's web content and it's mobile accessibility. Well, they've extended the deadline for that by another year. So that'll be to 2027. still doesn't mean of course we're still doing our work to make sure that our website looks correct and all of our other things but the actual deadline from doing that has been ex extended by a year. Um that's one instance I think that we're actually artificial intelligence could probably help us out with some of the mandates for that. um who knows what will happen in the future, but that's things like making sure that our web page when you go

to it, whether on a phone or on a computer, it's accessible both visually and auditorially for everyone that needs to be. So, a couple things I wanted to highlight this any questions. Thank you. Next up is the first reading of the SDOJ student handbook for 2026 27. Um, do you have all the copies in front of you? Again, it's just a first reading, but any questions or comments on it at this point? Did the administration have anything you wanted to add to markups on that? Okay. Then policy updates. again, first readings for the act 89 policy update. Um, have that one before you and we'll take a look at that at the next meeting. Any questions on that or comments yet? I'm happy to point out a comment. Um, I received a question from two

schoolboard members. It is a good question. It's good. I think it's worth just noting. Uh, you'll notice the change from parent/guardian to just parent. And basically, that's a stylistic choice. Um it's you can say that it's redundant to have parents/guardian. We all know that a parent is a special person in a in a child's life and that can be a guardian. It could be a biological parent. I could be adopted parent etc. Um so that is um a stylistic choice that Neola is going with. I joke that I've been in education long enough. I remember where it was just parent and then it moved to parent variant and now it's transitioning back to either evolving or re-evolving back to parent. So means the same thing. It's just trying to be more efficient. Small changes. I

guess I just have a question clarification on that. So if you have and I know there's families in our district um that have this is where they're living with an aunt, uncle, grandpa, grandpa. I don't know what the status of the parent is in that case. Would you go to where the that child is living or would you go to the parent? Probably not in the parents house for a particular reason. So I guess where does that where do we draw that line? That's the reason I was wondering. Yeah, it's a great question. you they usually will have some type of court document that goes with that as far as the um so that's one a great example of that is the guardianship which we would probably think of that more specifically but in that

instance that parental right goes towards that aunt or uncle that they're living with um sometimes there'll be uh there'll be as I mentioned there'll be court document that they'll as well but to enroll you do have to have a parent enroll district unless Unless a current parent has given up those rights or transfer those rights to 100 is policy or definitions. Any other questions or comments? And we'll take a look at that at the next meeting as well. Next up is the review process, the final evaluation superintendent for the 202526 school year. Um, we've all done this book. Not all, sorry, we've done this before. Um, just double checking. So, you can complete follow the links there to get that completed and please have it done by June 14th. Yes, please do. So, um I

have a email schedule sent to everyone just with a little bit more information so you have a little background what it looks like my my day-to-day job. So, do the best you can. Um and for what you learned in a very short period of time. Okay. Uh and then just the procedure-wise, I don't see any of the responses until the board president sits down and goes over all the ratings of the questions or comments on that one. Then we'll get into finance and operations topics. Uh, first up is going to be the review of the district-wide copier bids and possibly an acceptance of recommendation. Yeah. So, our copier contract is end of due uh June 30th. Um, we did a five-year contract and this is kind of what we've done since I've been here. So,

we started the process um Ryan and I back in February here roughly. Um, January 15th is when we opened up the window for RFP. Um we ended up having four vendors bid on it. Um we had so it was uh Rico Direct. Um they were disqualified. Their bids were missing a lot of things. Um it was very unorganized. Canon um we also eliminated just due to the cost. Um Canon is kind of the gold standard for copers and you pay that premium um especially the pages we go through. and that we evaluated Orion, which is our current vendor, and Gordon Flesh. Um, they're both local. I'm sure we've all heard both their names or seen their signs. Um, they both have branches all over the area, and they actually both have techs that work in

our school district and have kids. Their techs actually have kids. So, there is a local connection with both of these vendors. Um, so we had a commit pretty much. We Ryan and I worked on the numbers, made sure everything was apples to apples. We had a committee come in. Ryan and Gordon Flats did their sales pitch. We have we had a copier of each one um in one of the classrooms over here and we had staff demo that were on the committee. And the really the concessence was really they're the machines are pretty much like they're very close and they're like I mean most parts are the same. is just a different plastic on it and then the really big thing is the interface on how it looks and feels. Um so I you know

I have pricing um um so we're looking at um flesh ended up being the cheaper um vendor to go with um on their monthly lease cost and our black and white clicks uh the color clicks were the same. So, we're recommending um you know, moving forward with them and it' be a cost savings of annually of roughly $4,500. So, it's not like it's a big amount over five years, but anything adds up and helps us right now. Oh, yes. And decreases the clip cost there. But we print millions of pages, so those uh cents do add up quickly. I don't know if you have any questions, but the recommendation is to move forward with board and flesh. Are you doing cloud printing with this as well? So, they can print from anywhere like the cloud

controller with them. We have that already in place. Um, it's with paper cut. So, we have mobile printing and it's very limited on what you can do. You don't get all the features, but you can print remotely. Got it. Any other questions from the board? Is there a motion to approve the bid from Gordon Flesh in the amount of $218,194.32 as presented? Second motion and second. Any further discussion? All in favor say I. I. Any oppose say nay. And the motion passes. Thank you. Thank you. Next up is going to be the supplemental compensation handbook. Good evening. Um this is second read uh for supplemental compensation handbook. Um I did just add or add a few notes at the bottom in executive just regarding some prior years to that. Um just with reverting back some

questions with that thing in translation. Um and again the the biggest uh transition would be again using that lagging year race which hopefully I didn't shy away from in the last time I presented that. Um and just looking at how as board we can utilize and reinvest those funds and compensation as a whole. So, um, happy to answer any questions that you may have. Wanted to bring this here for a second read and review and and just maybe of note to if there's other changes that come up, we can always bring back as well to there's additional questions or comments from the board. Is there a motion to approve the 2022 I read that right? 2026 to 27 supplemental compensation handbook. So move. Second. Motion and second. Any further discussion? All in favor say I.

And I. Any oppose say nay. Mush passes. Thank you. Then we get to the 2026 27 articles of accord with the four community theater. I know this is a new annual the time frame is kind of I think the one that we adopted last year time frame to your point here. So yeah, so the bunch uh all of these next leases I don't mind covering and just helping kind of walk through some of the changes well too but we can pick them one at a time. Um so the the fact of articles of accord with them uh we've had this I think long-standing at least in my my tenure longstanding but uh maybe for quite a few years and and recently I think it was last year's term we changed it to cover uh an

August 1st to July 31st time frame for that uh just to make sure that their summer production is uninterrupted within one agreement cycle. Um, so again, no particular changes to this, but updating that. Just one thing to add. We added this probably what, three years ago because they they were homeless and they so and do think they should change their name, but other than that, is there a motion to approve the 2026 27 articles of accord with the Fort Atinson Community Theater is presented? So second motion in a second. Any further discussion? All in favor say I. I. Oppose say nay. And motion passes. Then we got the 2627 youth tactical football agreement at schedule of usage. Uh so our own Mr. Austin Salamaki uh West teacher is supporting the Jefferson youth footballs president now.

Um and so he uh we just went back into the agreement again drafted changes are in the executive context if you want to see those. Uh but really again reviewing just for their utilization as an outside entity our practice fields and concern. Any questions from the board sir? Sorry just just one on the storage. Um we're no longer using that lower level at east underneath the gym for this. How big are these storage units and where will they be placed? Apologize. Which one is that? Um, this is the the youth football. I think it's number 10. Two portable storage units uh district facilities for the sole purpose. That is a good question. I don't know exactly where those would necessarily place. I can certainly follow up with him on that. So he went back through

with it and suggested the striking of this because I was unaware that they you were no longer using the east uh school locker rooms for offseason storage. Um I can certainly Yeah, I think it should I think it should just make sure it's okay with Tim and make sure it doesn't interrupt recess at East if that's where this is being placed. Yeah, I can follow up. Absolutely. Any questions or concerns? Is there a motion to approve the 2627 youth technical football agreement and usage schedule is presented? So move second. Any further discussion? All in favor say I. I. Any oppose say nay. And that one passes. Thank you. Do we have the agreement between the school district and kidsspace learning center for the 26 summer program? Yeah. So the next two are both for kids

base. This first one is for summer and then the second one is school year. Um the biggest change for this summer uh was again uh Miss Trinko working and our work team in the east um just asking as far as moving to licensing purposes uh just housing it this year versus I think historically they've been available. So uh grateful Miss Krauss, Mr. Layman have been working with transportation with Mr. Co just about what that looks like to make sure that participating in our summer programming have easy access uh natural access to that. So that's the primary question. Is there a motion to approve the 2026 kids learning center summer program agreement as presented? So move. Second. Any further discussion? All in favor say I. Any oppose? Say nay. First kids space passes. Then we have

the 26 27 kids learning. I'm sorry. Yeah. Kids based learning center K4 wraparound after school daycare program recreation. Thank you again. Uh again, no no major changes. Still continuing to operate within both capacity at Sullivan and East. Um and finally that space to do so uh with a similar CPI increase has been as question. Is there a motion to approve the 2026 27 kids learning center K4 wraparound afterchool daycare program agreement as presented? So move second. Any further discussion? All in favor say I. I. Post say. Did we get to the lease agreement for the sore classroom? Yes. Very last one here. Um, so this one, uh, Miss N is going to feel free. Miss E, if there's anything I miss, let me know. But, uh, Miss Net with, uh, Jerry Merlin laying, um, owning

property there at Firehouse, uh, just her kind of recent history. We have prior had a three-year term, uh, with them before last year, but changed year to year just to be responsive to any changes in programming. Um, we don't anticipate any changes programming for 2627. Uh so the one thing just with they providing too many data and ask just increasing that this margin will leave to $1,040 um to match the increase that they have. So um those are the only changes really that we have on questions. Is there like a space issue? Is there is something we do on parameter? That's a great question. Uh even I think in the um past what I have seen that um the the students that attend there um are probably a little more successful outside of the the

school building for different variety of reasons. Is this something has this always been this way? Did we used to have it on prem? It's always been I think it's always been this way. different places. But yes, and so there's there are different programs. These are students that are um officially identified um through a process that they do meet the criteria through the state and then they have to follow specific guidelines that the state sets. And so they have a specific amount of hours that they attend at soore and then the other hours are um met through work or some of them still attend a few classes here. Um and so they have to follow that criteria as a body language correct 10 years. 10 years. Okay. My first year here was we started the sore

alternative program down at Woolen Mills, the business center and then we were over at the physical therapy building uh on Rine Avenue just a couple blocks from here. that lease was uh nonrenewed and then we ended up with where we're at now on old firehouse alley behind the America yeah American insurance company so that's been going on for 10 years like me and Miss said too is a lot of a lot of the students are at risk turn students um they found a new environment to reinvigorate their learning and focus and the success rate that Miss O'Brien can do in that small environment is is way more positive. And if students do not have a job and have work-based learning credit, then they are coming back for elective credits here at the high school amm

um half day on their academics core classes and then the other half day they would either be working or here for elective courses. And how many students is this serving right now? um throughout the year probably from start to finish um around 20 about 20. Thank you. You're welcome. The state has a cap of 15 books per second in the classroom. We try to keep it just under any other questions from the board. Is there a motion to approve the 2026 27 lease renewal agreement between the school district of Jefferson and Merlin Lane as presented? So move second. Any further discussion? All in favor say I. I. Any oppose say nay. That one passes. Thank you. Thank you. Right. Next up, any future agenda topics? Anybody have any questions or suggestions for that? When we

get into announcements, I don't have anything. Dr. Two brief announcements. Uh the senior I want to say a public kudos for the senior scholarship night at Epson High School. um announced just short of $1.3 million in different grants, gifts, uh scholarships to our graduating seniors. Uh then, uh if you haven't noticed it, they broke ground on the Keen Family Sports Complex and want to say thank you to Mr. Grath for making sure we have the proper safety fencing around that big hole that's there right now. So be exciting to see how that project progresses over the next several weeks. Thank you. So then consider a close session. Is there a motion to convene in the close session pursuant to Wisconsin statutes 18.85 85 parents 1, C, E, and F and discuss a base wage increase

for the 2026 27 school year and approve the 2026 27 crisis. A move. Second motion second. We have a roll call vote, please. Mr. C. Yes. Mr. Yes. Mr. Mrs. Williams. Mr. Yes. Mr. Yes, Mr. Yes.
