001uh there are no presentations tonight there are two taking positive steps of service award presentations only one because uh the other fruit couldn't make it so we have one so mickey cinnamon is here uh so uh nikki is a member of osc staff and has been a long and supportive history with osc i think he's been involved in very beginning as the founding as a founding board member even better than nikki's long history with osc is their positive outlook and credible flexibility in our kids-centered approach one example of these traits is when nikki submitted a green bay packer foundation grant this summer knowing that the fundraising was down for osc due to the pandemic nikki found out about the grant gathered all the necessary information and submitted the grant application and we recently found out
002that she was successful at securing three thousand dollars for osc so thank you for all you do nick um first of all i just want to say thank you to everybody in the district who goes above and beyond for our community every single day um and thank you so much for recognizing me this is just one small thing that i could do for this amazing school district thank you [Applause] next we'll have public input purpose of the citizen input agenda item is for the public to provide comments on any agenda item or to publicly address the board of education on items that pertain to school business the amount of time allotted to each speaker will generally not exceed five minutes per person to allow all people who wish to speak an opportunity to be heard
003however the president may modify the time limits at his or her discretion if the speaker has a question for the board they'll be duly noted and responses will be provided in an appropriate manner but the board cannot respond to individual questions or individual comments as part of the public input agenda item as an additional reminder the board cannot take action on any item that is brought forth during the public info session or any item that is not posted on a meeting agenda citizen input is an important part of the board meeting agenda and the board appreciates hearings in the community on issues concerning them and our school district and we do have a timer for your five minutes first up is branch iceburger did you have a seat at the table there go ahead whenever
004you're ready when covet started i think the rallying cry was to follow the signs somehow that must have changed or perhaps only portions of science seem to matter i've spoken before a lot of school boards as an attorney recently and this is where i used to spot off statistics about how the latest cdc update uh showed a de minimis ifr or infection fatality ratio for children aged 0-17 or the fact that school grounds have been shown not or schools have been shown not to be breeding grounds for cobit 19 nor our students significant vectors for the spread but it seems that after 19 months or so science falls on deaf ears logic as well seems not to be considered children can play with their friends outside of schools they can have play dates in their
005friends houses without masks and that's fine however in class they must be mass students can play in on reset or in recess on mass but in class they must be mass they can stand shoulder to shoulder with 80 000 plus sports fans watching football at a badger game but they can't sit in a classroom there's no logical rhyme or reason for this students could also be on mass all summer without issue but when school starts it's back to the illogical fear-based reasoning there's one data point i do wish to emphasize science shows the effect of social or effect of masking and social distancing and what they have done to children as we all know children or humans are social creatures and our ability to develop to develop social skills are primarily done in our youth
006lack of interaction with others is extremely harmful on may 25th 2021 the office of children's mental health stated that in the last year children committing acts of self-harm doubled wisconsin now ranks fifth in the u.s for self-harm ages 6-22 the state dhs has admitted that school policies and social distancing is to blame so i asked the board when was the last time you did a mental health survey of the student body which you represent mental health among students has declined for 19 plus months keeping the policies you have as it relates to mass and quarantines may very well be the cause of the next self-harm incident and you all will have to live on live with that based on the science it's in the best interest of total well-being and total health of students to
007approve mask optional the recent data released by dpi shows a significant academic decline the last year and a half have had due to online learning and other quarantine issues this equates to students being nearly a year behind where they should be in math and reading and that equates to a decline in earning capacity over their life which will continue for their lifetime as all of you may or may not know various members of the community have reached out to me to represent them for any future potential litigation i'm not going to discuss that but i will have a message for the board tonight as it relates to masking quarantines and schooling i have significant experience in this area to include in front of the wisconsin state supreme court as you already know because the school
008has approved some should mass continue to be required there still needs to be exemptions if any parent wanted to apply for religious exemption it's extremely easy for them to do so and it creates a legal minefield for the district to navigate one of which i believe you may already be doing poorly i have heard and will verify that some of those with mass exemptions are segregated from their peers in fact one allegation is a young child was denied participation in group activities and regulated the plane in the corner by themselves this is not only detrimental to childhood development but it is not legal if you wish to have an example of the effects of the litigation you can ask the former tomahawk superintendent why he's the former tomahawk superintendent or you can ask why there's
009rumblings of the peer superintendent being open to other candidates and as a slight decide who has a statutory authority in wisconsin to quarantine a student i can guarantee it's nobody on this board now i have filed lawsuits dealing with quarantines of students and some of those i've saw immediate injunctive relief one of which i did not get that immediate injunctive relief it does not mean the case is over the next hearing for that case is four months from now and i can guarantee you over those four months the litigation costs for that are going to continue to increase lawsuits are extremely expensive and i hope that that you all have a plan in the budget for that because if mass re remain required and if your quarantine policy remains as it is i can guarantee
010you that the residents of this community have shown interest in pursuing litigation i've represented people of similar issues related to masking masking and quarantine from grade schools to colleges and universities which have ended in confidential settlements i've also represented staff at great schools colleges and universities that have resulted in confidential settlements i have many cases still in litigation although i'm proud of securing these victories for my clients i know that they deplete resources from schools that should be used to improving the education and mental health of the students nobody's forcibly removing mass from anybody but what we are asking for is the ability to make your own health decision for your own family and i understand my time is up and i'll respect that i do have more to say here but again i ask
011that you revisit your quarantine policy because it is illegal i've viewed it i've read what the medical board has presented and i ask that you revisit your masking policy and if you do not i can guarantee that some form of litigation is falling thank you we do have a masking policy can you put an ass what side can you please put a mask on i have an exemption to the order thank you monica simpson i would like to donate my time to brent my five months friend what is your exemption from the masking mandate that we have are you asking for personal health information no i'm asking we have a mask mandate and if you don't want to abide by the mask mandate then please leave that's what i'm saying do you have a mask
012yes i have a mask all right i'll put one on thank you all right so some staff from the school have responded to parent concerns that the policy for mask exemptions apply only to the state approved school day i would suggest that you seek legal counsel as it relates to the wisconsin statute 118.13 in pupil discrimination it does not only apply to the wisconsin school day rather applies to extra extracurricular activities as well if the schools have granted an exemption to these or due to the religious beliefs and strongly held beliefs of those individuals the school surely cannot deny such exemptions from other school activities such as sporting events drama clubs music performances etc so i understand that there are masking policies here and i understand that you all grant exemptions to them those exemptions
013do not end when the school days end wisconsin statute 118.13 is very specific that you cannot discriminate against any student related to any racial sexual religious or other beliefs and it appears that this staff or the school district is currently segregating students or discriminating against students in sporting events and extracurricular activities as it relates to their masking policy so if you grant an exemption to masking then that needs to be a error and exemption to power the masking policy it does not end when the school day ends if if you offer any extra curricular activity if you had offer any sporting event music event drama club social club we can go into homecoming i know there's an issue with masking and homecoming recently which was overturned the the school rightfully decided to change their policy
014at the last minute and allow students to attend the homecoming but you cannot discriminate against students or you cannot say that their religious exemption ends when the school day ends just as you cannot say that you that a student if they were to wear a mask to participate in a sporting event to comply with your illegal rules you cannot say that their religious exemption is therefore thereby invalid for the school day so there's a lot of issues that you guys have and again when it comes to creating a masking exemption you're walking a legal minefield now i know i'm wearing a mask right now and i'm pretty sure all of you can see the whole hole i tore into it right nobody's complaining about that why because this is theatrics how much more or how
015many days do you guys queen queen do the deep cleaning did that end why did it end because the cdc said that that when you do deep cleaning it is nothing more than theatrics the masking as well is nothing more than theatrics when you look at masking print i'm sorry but please put a mask on please i'll put the whole e mask on thank you all right so when we talk about these theatrics right deep cleaning no no longer exists because the cdc says that has no impact whatsoever on coven 19. you can go to fakemass.org and buy a mass that does absolutely nothing for cobin 19 or the reduction of spread of cover 19 just like this mask with the hole in it does absolutely nothing for kobe 19 but apparently it meets your
016policy that is theatrics so if we're talking about some sort of legal standard or legal ability to enforce a policy for the health and safety of students you are failing it right now so you have multiple issues going on with your masking policy now let's talk about quarantine policy i've asked again who has the statutory authority to quarantine anybody in the state of wisconsin does anybody on the board know this and again i understand you're not going to ask or answer me on this but i do expect an answer to it so i can tell you right now the only individual that can quarantine somebody in the state of wisconsin by statute is your local health officer does the policy recommended by your health board that gave you a recommendation recommendation does any portion of
017that policy say hey if there's a close contact notify us and we'll we'll implement the proper quarantine procedures no it doesn't the policy recommended is that the school board in the school can implement a policy whereby they or you all determine the the procedure for quarantining an an individual i'll stop because i respect the time and i i fully suspect somebody else will grant me more time to speak thank you patty herman good evening everyone thank you for this opportunity to speak my name is patty herman my husband bill welch and i live in the city of lodi bill's not able to be here this evening but he asked me to speak for both of us so that's what i'll be doing we don't have children in the lodi school district we haven't for the
01818 years that we've lived here but we do know how important a strong school system is for the well-being of a community so we do everything we can to support education in our community we feel it's our civic duty to do that bill and i attended the recent lodi school district annual meeting we were glad to do so and we were very very impressed with the reports that we heard from the principals of the schools from the district administrator just overall we heard some really great things going on in our schools as former educators ourselves bill and i know that education teaching is tough work and we don't think it got any easier since we've been in the profession so we really respect the things that are happening in the classrooms we respect the curriculum
019choices that the district is making knowing that those choices are made after much study and consideration of the goal of preparing youth to contribute to society we also appreciate the difficult decisions that the school board has had to make recently and continues to make to keep kids safe and we're glad that they're making you they are making those decisions based on science-based evidence recognizing that science evolves and that more is being learned all the time about this covet that we're facing and responding to the new information as it appears so we thank you we thank the school district we thank all of you for the work that you're doing thank you thank you heather can i ask to speak later in the order is that okay yes she was a phone call and she is
020donating her tent as well can you put your mask on please i'm eating right now i'm not i'm sorry i'm done with theatrics well i'll put the holy mask on then i'm not interested i'm sorry is that my discretion i'm done so now that the board wishes to have me violate a uh both a religious belief and a protected health relief i'll take that under consideration so we were talking about uh who has the ability to quarantine a student or an individual so statutorily it is the local public health officer out of so as a question how many students are currently quarantined now i looked up your recent database and adam if you wish to ask or answer the question for me how many students are currently quarantined okay so i can tell you it
021is not that many it's under 10 but with these under or with these quarantine orders how many of those have been referred to the local public health officer for an actual quarantine order i can guarantee it's zero and with that you have illegally quarantined individuals now adam i do also understand uh there is a complaint filed against you i believe it was in the september meeting where you removed your mask for public comment and then voted to mask other students that seems a little hypocritical but i suppose it goes along with the theatrics and i know i'm not making friends in front of the board today but i will tell you that uh you are towing a very fine line between being sued and just making decisions for the the health and well-being of your
022students so one of the previous talkers was discussing the science of kobe 19. so i asked you when your health department reported the statistics of the spread of coven 19 how many of them discussed the covic cases of children between the ages of zeros and 17 that resulted in hospitalization and modi i can tell you that number can you tell me the number and if not maybe you should ask your health depar or your health board why they can't tell you how many resulted in hospitalization how many of these cases in lodi came about only because of testing on close contact meaning that the individual or the student was asymptomatic if you don't know that number does your health board know that number before they make the recommendation to continue masking they also talk about
023the studies here did at any time did the health board look at schools without mask mandates and look at how they have not had outbreaks of coven 19 or for the schools without mass mandates and there were outbreaks of con covit 19 did they compare those to the community spread because there are multiple studies right now ongoing that state that schools are not breeding grounds for coven 19. students are not significant vectors for coven 19. it is the community spread which leads to the children getting copic 19 with masking policies or without and we can look i mean common sense right we we can talk about science all day long let's look at common science you can go to a restaurant you have to wear your mask for the six feet you walk to your
024table and then you take your mask off and now you're suddenly emitting from covid you don't have to worry about who's touching your food or processing your food we can have children playing sports together without masks throughout the state and it's not leading to massive outbreaks we can have children playing in houses on playdates i mean i have two children one is seven and a half one is four years old they get together with their friends all the time the school that they live in or that they go to rather has never had a mass mandate and has never had quarantine orders and has never had anything dealing with what you guys have going on right now and it is in dane county you want to know how many copic cases there are one you
025want to know who that is a teacher okay students i mean you can look around lodi is not a huge metro top metro it is not a huge district there are not many students here the risk of spread among students scientifically is nil the risk of injury or hospitalization is zero the risk of death is absolutely zero and if your health board goes against that i'd like to see the data that they're looking at because in wisconsin under 17 children are not victims of coven 19. so again what science are we following are we just following theatrics and we can go back to this it's all going to end up in court i really don't care either way all right now when we go to court the biggest issue for the school board here to
026decide is if you lose you pay my attorney's fees if you win you pay your own attorney's fees i give clients a very good deal when i represent them on a good case and when you're quarantining healthy students or when you're quarantining just close contacts even if they have a proof negative test you are operating outside of statute and you are going to run up legal bills now i understand it's just resources you can go ahead and hit the alarm if you want school resources i think should be used to support mental health which has been on a significant decline over the last 19 months fix the problem support the students mental health unmask the children and get rid of quarantines thank you nicole nicole mckern hi um as you said i'm nicole mccartney um
027i have two children currently in the school district um and uh there's just a few reasons i wanted to to speak tonight one of them being i respectfully ask that you guys reconsider your masking policy and either make mass optional or change your quarantine guidelines to be quarantining only if you're symptomatic and here's why so i've watched or sat in on pretty much every board meeting the past year and multiple times you guys have said that your goal with all these guidelines is to keep the kids in school like because they weren't in school last year we really need to keep these kids in school and this is the best way to do it which i think the parents can agree with you that's a common goal we all want unfortunately the quarantine guidelines are
028not doing that they're keeping kids from school so i looked at the dashboard today which was the cumulative totals up to the week of october 25th the number of diagnosed cases in the primary school was 14 and the number of close contacts was 72. i'm not gonna list them all but the middle school was less than 10. this is for the whole school year i'm sorry starting from the beginning of the school year and the number of close contests was 82. so you can see there's a big gap between between those so that's telling you that these close contacts aren't getting covered which i'm sure is why you guys wanted them to quarantine because you were concerned they would get covered well it's showing right there that they don't seem to be getting covet otherwise
029those numbers would be closer together and so if you're saying it's because mass work then maybe we need to keep the mass which i don't agree with but you know if that's what you want to do that's fine but change your quarantine policy or if you're saying that maths don't work and they need to quarantine then maybe make mass optional since you're going to quarantine them anyways and keep your quarantine guidelines the other thing is the total of number of close contacts this school year has been 274. that's 274 kids that aren't in school that are being disrupted not only that they're being disrupted more than once i have friends whose children have been called at least twice to stay home for a total not cumulative but a total of three weeks not in school
030and never once had quote bid so they're being they're their days are being disrupted so i know your goal was to keep them in school but a lot of these kids aren't so that is why i'm asking you to change one of those policies if you can um the other thing i wanted to discuss is the policy that you guys are going to be reading regarding changing some things in public input and i just wanted you guys as you're reading the policies and going through it just to ask yourself why why it's necessary um again i've seen most of the board meetings and for the most part everyone's been respectful you might not agree with what everyone says which is completely understandable but no one's been like rowdy no one's like been swearing or you
031know causing a ruckus and everyone you know has pretty much adhered to the time there's been people who've gone a little bit over i mean brent even adhered to the time you know people donated which was a weird situation but um just just look at the policies and just consider why why it's really necessary um and if it's because you disagree with what we have to say that's not really a valid reason like your job as a board member is still to listen when we give a public input and to take it into consideration and if it's because you don't like sitting here until all hours of the night which i completely understand also unfortunately you ran for school board and that's part of it is listening to public input even if it is a
032lot of public input so um so yeah i just wanted to talk on that um and the last thing i wanted to say is i just want to let you all know that from the bottom of my heart and completely sincere i'm praying for all of you i'm praying that all of you just that you don't let the fear consume your hearts because it's just it's going to eat you alive honestly and if if you choose faith over fear i guarantee you you're going to experience so much more joy and peace in your life than you've ever imagined and i really i sincerely do i pray for you guys and i hope that you guys can choose faith over fear because i just don't want you guys to get consumed by this fear so thank
033you for your time is huh um uh jack tassel [Music] according to the wisconsin department of public instruction by 2019 academic proficiency in lodi schools have dropped to where half our students were below grade level incredibly the state department of public instruction considers that to be exceeding expectations that is a very grim indicator of the failure of public education in our district our state and our country last week we all received the school district's referendum survey in the mail and that eight-page advertising piece district brags about being proud of exceeding dpi expectations but they left out the scale that the department of public instruction uses to determine that ranking apparently our school board and administration feel that only half the students are below academic grade level or worse they call that success and something to
034be proud of what's even worse than the academic achievement declines identified in 2019 is that instead of being alarmed and concentrating on improving academics the district is following the path of madison milwaukee by opposing a huge so-called equity program district-wide i want to point out that in 2019 73 of the students in madison milwaukee school districts were below grade level last year for madison milwaukee over 85 percent of their students were below grade level yet lodi is following their path as in madison and milwaukee our children are being subjected to a new orthodoxy of anti-racism as professed by the likes of even kennedy last year the school library our school library 127 of his books his racist and devices philosophies are indeed in our school the concepts and ideology of critical race theory have been
035creeping into our schools for decades through these focused equity and social social emotional learning programs the focus on these jaded idea ideologies by the school board and administration instead of academic excellence has been devastating to the academic proficiency of our kids and i want to emphasize these are our children not yours this is the moment when parents are standing up all across the nation calling out the truth about the poor academic levels and the distorted divisive ideologies being pushed into our schools parents not only have the right to speak up and direct the educational path of our schools it is our responsibility as parents to do so during this time when the national school board association and the united states attorney general say that our speaking the truth is threatening to school board members and
036they call on the fbi to label moms and dads as domestic terrorists we will stand strong as national teachers unions endorse the concept that parents have no right to direct their children's education in public schools that we're paying for we will stand strong when left-wing journalists and politicians call us racists and bigots we will continue to stand strong tonight this school board will be voting to restrict parent input at meetings and we will still stand strong we will stand strong because our children are worth the time energy and sacrifice to stand for them thank you okay yes okay uh first i want to thank the board members i'm not sure if the board was actually involved in the decision but leaving the dane county equity consortium was a fantastic idea i know vince indicated the
037reason why the decision was made was because of cost that increase of 800 to 3 200 but the cost of the community of being in that organization was significantly higher than that so whoever made the decision to leave that organization i thank you i'm sure a lot of parents thank you as well um parents are very concerned i mean you can see what's happening here in uh this particular meeting and parents are concerned about how they're viewed by the board i want to give you a couple examples uh one after the last few months of 2019-2020 school year were cancelled due to the unknowns of cobit it was apparent the summer learning loss would be substantial rather than tying staff development to combating this inevitable loss the district with board approval had teachers read a
038politically motivated book to earn compensation two against the wishes of the majority of parents the board made the decision to shut down the schools to start the 2021 school year many school districts across the country and the world opened up without incident three the board with board approval in spring of 2021 a politically motivated email was sent out to the entire district after the george floyd verdict this email was coordinated as it was a coordinated effort by members of the unelected unaccountable dane county equity consortium the dcec also told members to ignore community pushback four multiple parents questioned why the district was focusing on identity politics as opposed to core subjects especially in light of dropping dpi test scores as opposed to actually listening to parents parents were told that they were being used by
039conservative media and not to believe their lying eyes five an open record open records were requested that show a clear pattern of bias and pushing identity politics on staff and kids these were communicated to the board and were provided every opportunity to address but chose not to six the board ignoring overwhelming community will voted to force younger kids to wear mass to start the year the board felt they were they knew more than the parents and were concerned about the delta variant which would devastate the community yet not one board member was wearing a mask at the time they made the vote seven when a parent emailed the board why they were insisting on bringing politics into the schools one particular board member said to to no longer email them on their district account i
040guess engaging in first amendment rights was not going to be tolerated while later recanting that message there was a refusal to meet to address the situation finally two weeks into the school year a decision was made to force high schoolers to wear a mask against the wishes of most parents the day the decision was made a board member again not wearing a mask a formal complaint was made by another parent rather than simply acknowledging the mistake or oversight the board member replied they should be able to use judgment regarding when they personally don't need to wear a mask what is the response from the board to parents that express these types of concern is it humility is there a recognition that parents matter well apparently we have our answer on the agenda tonight is a
041policy to limit the ability of parents to express concerns to the board the board will be voting tonight to limit time restrict community members from talking on the subject at more than one meeting restrict use of helpful materials like shards and restrict speech that in the opinion of the board president they personally don't find relevant in the last policy meeting a concerned mother rushed to the meeting with her baby in her arms to provide public input in one of the few ways she can she had crafted her message to fit within the five-minute allocated time just before she spoke the chairperson changed the allotted time to three minutes without notice rather than challenging back the polite mother rushed through her five-minute speech in three minutes watching this mother standing there bouncing her baby speaking quickly
042while the chairperson stared at the clock is the epitome of today's district the national association of school boards called police called parents domestic terrorists for participating in school board meetings is this how the lodi board views parents in our district and i might add i just found out this lodi board called the police because of this meeting because parents are frustrated and they're donating time to an attorney so do you honestly think that anyone here is into anybody any physical harm is that the way you view parents in this district it's insane i couldn't believe when i heard marine making that phone call um sorry but the message is crystal clear what's valued by this board is our money not our input please think long and hard before changing the policy to limit the ability
043of citizens who come to the petition to lord in good faith thank you [Applause] heidi ashworth marshall i was going to yield my time to attorney brent but if he's finished with his then you can do it that's fine i'm good i don't really have a lot to say other than i don't have any children in the school district i was not honored to be able to have children but i am very concerned with what the board is doing to the children in this community and what's going on across the nation i was in the united states marine corps and fought for our country if i had to in washington d.c and this whole thing just disgusts me so i just pray that you would think long and hard about taking away our rights to
044be able to talk and speak in front of you thank you thank you lori wenger i'll make one save i'm gonna give my time the only statement i wish to make is uh this is the first time i've had the police called on me coming to a school board meeting for expressing the legal rights of parents in the education of their children and that tells me something have i been threatening to any of you have i appeared physically threatening to any of you i think the answer is clearly no now have i said that we will sue you and why i say we i mean the community members absolutely if you continue with your policies there will be litigation that follows and the fact that you all went out of your way to call a
045police department my father was a police officer for 30 years before i was in the marine corps for 18 years i can guarantee you i hope he's getting overtime for this because this is a waste of money and when we talk about wasting money we can look at if you keep your policies the way they are you will continue to waste money again that should go towards educating your students and supporting the mental well-being of your students which has been on a decline for the last 19 months thank you jessica i'm happy it's okay i'm good i think everybody everything's been said and then back to heather okay as most of you know my name is heather and i live in oaky i wanted to piggyback off of what scott said with regard to public
046input each one of the proposed policy limits limits public input by changing time from five minutes to three minutes limiting subjects that can be spoken on and not allowing for things like charts and graphs to provide support to talking points there are a lot of people that are visual learners you guys are able to use you know your props and your support to to make cases and we just feel that we should be able to do the same at a time when lodi parents are demanding transparency and to be heard the it's upsetting to me that the school has the nerve to limit public input in this manner i can understand possibly limiting the overall speaking time to let's say 45 minutes or 60 minutes this makes sense to me but to limit each speaker's
047time and content is absurd to me it tells me that either the lodi school district is afraid of some of the issues that are coming up or that they flat out don't want to be bothered with them at the last policy meeting at the policy meeting last week four community members showed up to give their two cents on the new recommendations when the meeting went into closed session the public's recommendations were not even referenced by most of the members by most of the board members we know though through surveys that the board chooses not to listen at times but not even acknowledging us is beyond upsetting to me i also had asked a question about the policies reference made to legitimate jurisdiction of the board and wanted to understand what that meant the answer was
048alluded to but i'm hoping that when you guys put the policy into place you can put a definition out there so there's clarity and that it's not a question going forward i also wanted to speak briefly on the decisions made by the medical advisory panel and the first thing that i noticed in the in the recommendations is that it says coven tends to be high within the boundaries of the lodi school district but then goes on to say that the mitigation efforts that have been in place show no transmission of covid between close contacts which is it and if it's both that are being suggested how can we say with certainty that the masks are contributing the contributing factor in the downward trend later in the recommendations it is proposed to put in place a
049test to play for sports to test to play for sports if you have not been vaccinated if the numbers are indeed trending downward as suggested in the first paragraph shouldn't we be putting less requirements into place and not more and yes i understand this is a medical group of people way more qualified to me to talk about the science but again shouldn't the message be clear that less cases equals less aggressive mitigation efforts finally i want to express my disapproval with the cova vaccination clinic that is happening this week vaccine being provided to kids 5 to 11 does not even have full fda approval at this point which means it is experimental with no long-term safety studies as of october 22nd there have been four deaths seven life-threatening two permanent disabilities 25 hospitalizations and this
050is in the age group of 12 to 18 and since the vaccine has already been rolled out the initial clinical trials show very high risk for inflammation and especially in males i feel the school is making a very irresponsible decision and having any part in such a clinic if parents want to vaccinate their younger kids let that them make that decision outside of the school's urging i personally already have one child in another school district for reasons like this but doesn't the school care about the sheer number of parents that are leaving the district does the board think that some of us show up at every meeting and even have meetings outside of these meetings just because we like to complain because we are troublemakers because we have nothing better to do honestly we show
051up because we care we show up because we others that are afraid to speak there are others that are afraid to speak or that have just given up we show up because we love the lodi school district but we want better that's all that's on the list next we'll move on to consent agenda items consent agenda items in this section will be adopted as a group unless a board member requests a specific item to be removed from the consent agenda and be addressed separately we have the approval from the last two meetings one was october 11th and the one on october 18th we have the volunteers payroll checks and credit card payments we have fundraiser requests for santa breakfast stride with pride and a little little caesar's sale fundraiser reports from tailgate basket and powder
052puff night reach for reach out lodi and lace field trip request for the bi-state wrestling tournament there are no committee recommendations for approval under other we have the renewal of the girls swim team cooperative under resignation and retirement we have resignations for the head varsity volleyball coach and the high school special education assistant under co-curricular we have high school assistant boys basketball coach high school volunteer boys basketball coach middle school boys assistant basketball coach high school assistants girls basketball coach high school wrestling assistant coach two at 50 percent and lcat leadership council 2. under community crew we have wage increases for december wage increases for january crew pool lifeguard crew pool youth swim team instructor and crew head youth swim team instructor under regular staff we have high school middle school long term permanent sub
053for first semester primary school special education assistant there are two of them elementary school osc lmc assistant primary school reading specialist long term sub high school special education assistant under personnel other we have leave without pay requests for three people i'll make a motion to approve the consent agenda as presented i second that motion question by angie in a second by terry is there any further discussion no favor say hi hi hi regular agenda items 801 covent mitigation discussion yeah so the medical advisory team our committee met in november 2nd and had a long discussion regarding the status of where we are with kobit what they are seeing with the data that we shared from our dashboard we went into closed session for a while and talked about specific cases that we're seeing here in
054lodi i went back to open session and had conversations um in general what is being seen with colbit and the numbers are trending in the right direction um and so in talking to the the medical advisory committee their recommendation is everyone who's eligible should still get a covet vaccine they're still recommending universal face covering for all students in our buildings they're recommending continuing to make sure we have physical distancing they're recommending again symptomat if you have symptoms if people get tested um they are recommending again the quarantine stay the same as we've had in the past with the exception of again starting to unwind a little piece of this where in a universally in a universal environment with universal face coverings that do the effectiveness of face coverings that regardless of the distancing that we
055don't quarantine kids because we have not seen that transition because of the face coverings that we've had in place in an unmasked situation they would say like for example at lunch if you're within six feet um then we still have a quarantine but this would be a first step in kind of unwinding some of those pieces so they would say that that is where we should take that next step they've also been connected with the abc cooperative out of duke university which is connected university of wisconsin and doing survey and collecting data of 130 school districts across the country and this falls right in line as well with what they're seeing in regarding to masking and quarantine things like that so that would be their recommendation moving forward is pretty much everything stays the same
056except that quarantine unwinds a step so we're not quarantining kids who are close contacts unless they're unmasked so if everybody's wearing the mask properly then the quarantines will stay okay anybody have any questions about the sports is that yeah just kind of informational yeah so let me jump into that um yeah so the test of play the idea right now is our athletes would still have to wear masks throughout so what they would suggest is that we look at a test to play model where if kids um to be on math to play sports would have to test to play so that we would do a rapid test of some sort during the week if they're unvaccinated and our vaccinated students wouldn't have to they out of that test to play and then they could
057participate in athletics unmasked because that's a step that they would have to take right now that they're asking them to you know we would be saying they're math so this they said like let's do more research on that um again at a meeting of the abc collaborative the other day there was two schools in north carolina talking about how well this has worked for them and throughout so they would continue to so it's something that we have to explore like can we pull this off um we'd have to know how many kids are vaccinated we'd have to know nick um what it would take from us um to have the right questions for you why are you not testing this is not a this is this the public import portion of the meeting is over
058i know but i still have a question and i think it should be answered why wouldn't the vaccinated children the board is now in session and having their meaning it's public observance this district sucks so it's the way all of them are so again they would be looking at um you know that as a possibility we just have to see if hey could we make that work um if the numbers continue to come down can we we right now use noaa labs to test and could they play a part in that and doing some rapid tests for us because we can't put more on our staff to do that um so through noaa labs um the one hiccup right now is no labs is transitioning between two people so making sure that would continue to
059work so it's something that they're saying like we're willing to walk down that path again it's unwinding some of these pieces of mitigation um but there needs to be some things in place that they want us to look at does the wia speak to that this they don't right now when does the next sport start that this yesterday could be applied to um tonight right so fall sports season starts tonight um wrestling i believe basketball started tonight and then next week we have sports starting as well so we'll have sports starting they won't start a competition until the week of i think thanksgiving week because the first week goes there might be a scrimmage before that there's a scrimmage the saturday before that for our basketball team but then we start competitions that week beginning
060in thanksgiving different sports and when they said they met and they said to explore this in the future when is the future that's what i'm trying to get out well over the next month right before they meet again like they're planning on meeting again um i have to look either last week in november first week of december um to have this happen to we meet monthly and to share the data and have conversations around us so bring that back to them they would be i asked them if they'd be willing to look at that earlier and they would the hard part is getting them grouped together right so we could look at that earlier i just need to have time to work with as i said who we would use as noaa labs but a
061lot and we're just a transition in between a person their their ending the person who's doing our work for noaa labs right now their last day is friday and they're transitioning to somebody new so that's going to take a little bit for us to walk through but they do have rapid testing that they're doing in other settings for other they are there is a school north of us quite a bit north of us who's doing a test to stay model where they're testing quarantine the kids who are close contact on a daily basis like so every day is a parent and it's kind of it's really adept everybody apparently have to bring their kid to school they would test to stay and then they could get the bus when you made your initial motion for
062this medical advisory team are we following their recommendations just like we did wia if they change we change with it without a vote that was my intent when i made the motion yes can we add to it at all ever or amend it or change or alter it can do whatever we want so does that upset your original motion though doesn't it so once a motion is made and voted on it's done right you can always make new motions right anytime you want about anything so once a motion because i think you're asking a new board question is what you're asking right so once a motion is made and things are decided it goes until a new motion is made that's what i'm trying to say that make sense yes so just two things i
063just want to address the awkward elephant in the room um because i looked up the state statutes because if i'm doing something that is against state statute and it's potentially illegal i want to know about it so quarantining if that's out of our jurisdiction i personally don't have any part in it um so where do we stand as a board on that and then second maybe i should say it's the later time we should discuss that but second is if our masks like we're talking because children in school setting close contacts and we can't distance them because there's so many of them in the schools and the they couldn't get the vaccine everything can we amend our motion to allow this building the administration as they're working day to day to have an optional mask
064and at our meetings have optional mask the adults that come have optional masking that's not a good question right and so you can make a motion on anything you want and they would get a second and then a vote right whether it passes or not it's another question and then that's our new policy that we're going on policy our new thing we're following okay so i shouldn't ask i should say i would like to have the power to make emotion yes i would like to make that motion okay would you like me to restate the entire thing yeah make it clear i would like to make a motion that the people that work in this building they would have masks optional the board members would have asking optional and the attendees would have masking optional
065during these meetings and so would someone like this second so hearing no second unfortunately so should we go back to the awkward elephant in the room yeah we're having a discussion states that unless we have been given the power from the local health officer that we shouldn't be quarantining were we at any point given that are we out of our jurisdiction in talking to our legal counsel we are well within our jurisdiction um again i will verify that again and go back with him on that conversation um tomorrow um but um i've had that question come up before for that getting in the news like hey are we within our jurisdiction and our legal counsel has said we are well within the jurisdiction to quarantine but you know we'll verify that one more time tomorrow
066because there's information shared tonight vince has been in constant contact also with our liability insurance because that plays a role and it has been right um those two entities so that was always a question we got to look at our legal obligations that but also the liability that we have when we don't we cannot share some of that information with the board at different times like what our liability insurance carrier is saying about quarantine or net quarantine at no point any of those attorneys ever said you can't quarantine thank you okay and so for further clarification for the the new policy that's just automatically going to be adopted we are not quarantining students of close contact we are not so so just a quarter of clarify this so we are not quarantining students unless they
067are in an unmasked environment right we're requiring universal masking so the only time we would quarantine as long as people are properly wearing their mask would be lunch and there's within six feet because now they're unmasked or um you know another time if they're in a reading group and they all have their mask off or they had a snap or something like that but they're in a reading group together and so that's when we talked about quarantining a lot of times that happens is this lunch or like a small reading group where you and i are next to each other and reading within three feet and i'm full with positive a lot of quarantine small for both horn of mass at this point we are not quarantining we wouldn't corner at this point with this
068so that's that's kind of like taking that next step right okay we're seeing that we're not seeing transmission with because people are wearing masks um and so we're taking that step up um if that makes sense yeah it's just based on ours because that was one of the concerns right that was brought up like quarantine kids and again it is our concern right having kids right trying to keep kids overall in school right and making sure that we don't have cold outbreaks but also the quarantine their kids right we try to limit the number of times we quarantine we you know limit the the length and we could go still go to 14 we shrunk that down um we tried testing on sites to make it more convenient for parents and this is just another
069step like trying to again eliminate those quarantines or limit the quarantines that we have for kids you'd still limit you'd still have quarantines like within households and things like that um because it just seems to run through households if one person's finance right if one person is positive right so one of the things we haven't been doing like if we foreign you know the three of us in a household and i start having symptoms and you test me and i'm negative and then often you two start having the exact same symptoms we haven't required those kids to go get tested and positive because this kind of very contagious and it just seems to go especially with delta it seems to go through households more quickly how rapidly have the tests been coming back that we've
070been on so it's been a little awkward for a while we were within two days which is really the frustrating part with all of testing like at this point the same pandemic they should be coming back a lot faster we are again with noaa right now transitioning um the state was using their left all the exact science kits everything was going to exact science we will now be transitioning to noaa um and having them do all the testing at their site or having a like they were doing the testing but then they're sending it to their lab at exact sciences it will not go to the nora labs and one of the districts i talked to like who has made that switch it has sped up that process we're hoping that that is a frustrating
071piece of just it takes too long it just thoughts it shouldn't take so long at this point the pandemic shouldn't take so long for us to get a pcr test back very frustrating any other discussion next is a resolution authorizing a taxable tax and revenue anticipation promissory note for cash flow purposes in the amount not to exceed 1.5 million yeah this is something we do every year this is just for short-term borrowing um depending when we get the revenue from the state so we don't we do not plan on having to use this this year we think we're good financial shape of wheat every year just to make sure that brent has this authority so we can make payroll we don't want to be short for anything like that so i would recommend approval i
072make a motion to approve the resolution authorizing a taxable tax and revenue anticipation promissory note for cash flow purposes and an amount not to exceed 1.5 million dollars a second watch my engine in a second by julie is any further discussion hi hi anyone opposed passes seven to zero school calendar discussion in action yeah so we have the 2022-23 school calendar uh this has gone through the contract review committee on a couple of locations um they've given us guidance and so this is we'd like to get this approved so parents can start planning for next school years i know people plan trips and everything based on calendar so it was unanimously recommended coming out of contract review committee for approval make a motion to approve the 2022-23 school year calendar is presented i second that
073question by angie in a second by uh terry any further discussion in favor say aye anyone opposed passes seven to zero safety drill reports as required by act 143 each school must conduct a school safety drill a prepare evaluation report that is submitted to the board of education for reviewing approval and then this gets submitted to the state wisconsin so required evaluation reports have been submitted by lodi primary school laura elementary school in washington middle school and mobile high school to the board to review and approve having reviewed all of these with our administrative staff i would recommend that we approve the building school safety trail evaluation reports as perception there's just one on here that wasn't notified with a yes no or not and he says it down here in his report this is
074for john and i emailed him just to show them not here but just before you yep i will have them follow up on it i make a motion to approve the building school safety drill evaluation reports as presented i'll second what's my energy and second but christie any further discussion do you ever say hi anyone opposed is seven to zero state convention participation here in front of all of you we need to fill this out if you're going to go to the state convention in january for new board members it's a meeting of all school board members in the state going to milwaukee and speaking with each other and seeing seminars all of us got this you got this in the mail no i don't think so can you remember because last year was not
075virtual i don't i don't know if it's that i mean they really are on point with a lot of these topics so it's a great way to learn new stuff and talk to other board members from around the state and also superintendents and a lot like a yeah business professionals the speakers that come motivational speakers are really good excellent i highly recommend everyone go but maureen needs this bag bye what do you need backplate since december 1st i think was there was just there early birds december 15th like the day before the early birthday or how about thanksgiving [Music] right the board usually goes out and meets this board usually gets out to one celebration while we're there there's also individual breakfast and lunches for wasb w-s-a-d-d-a and w-a-s-b-o you generally don't attend those but
076you're welcome to attend them and then this year we have preliminary workshops that start up before the convention which a lot of symposiums and seminars do and this i think is the first year they've ever done that i mean like on tuesdays every year [Music] yeah and for example the people that are on policy and resolutions meet the tuesday night i think yes yeah yeah and and so our board we have a board meeting not this board but we have a board meeting that night right after policy resolution okay correct delegate meets on probably wednesday to vote and there's only about well there was four policy and resolutions and i think by the time you get there to vote there will be six or more so is that are you doing the policy i'm just
077the delegate i'm not on the resolution no you're the delegate i'm the delegate for our district so yeah i'd have to be there tuesday night that's the free delegate can you get those on our board agenda so we can see those resolutions in december they'll be coming yeah right i think i don't even know what they are no i understand that but so we can discuss them in december so that yeah they will come okay maybe november or january next is district administrator goals these are the goals that we saw in closed session so every year i submit goals to the board and last year you can follow up on those and that's going to be zero in a year make a motion to adopt the district administrator goals submitted by mr browning i'll second
078question by barb in a second by christie any further discussion all in favor say hi anyone opposed press the 7-0 renewal of district administrator contract the board has recently completed a district administrator evaluation or the process of that and adopted the goals for this school year this is also a time when discriminate administrative contract can be renewed um i'm currently under contract for this current school year so this would be for the next two years after 2022 through 2024. i moved to approve the issuing of a two-year contract district administrator contract to mr brining commencing on july 1st and extending it through june 30th 2024. second question we borrowed a second by bill any further discussion favor say hi hi anyone opposed yes is seven to zero next is first reading of policies yeah so
079there is a uh a handful of policies that are here for a first read one that you've heard about a lot of public input tonight dealing with public input so i have a memo in there that kind of talks about where we got or how we got here so the policy committee discussed at the september committee meeting how they would like to see the district public how is the input policy updated the committee asked the administration to look at other districts public input policies and to bring back provisions that had attempted to address the following areas reduce speaking time for five to three minutes maybe look at limiting total amount of time allocated for public input based on what other districts do look at either having a consistent time or change based on length of
080agenda a clear way to know for people know how much time they just speak and some kind of sound to know when that their time is up um and then a participant only speaks once during public input make sure there's only there's a way for people to give written input if their public input's not available add some responsibilities for the speaker and look at timing of public input on the agenda so that i went back into public the public input policy 187 uh public participation of court policy meeting 187.1 and public registration for district meetings policy 187.3 so i went through all of those and brought them to the policy committee um the policy committee on policy 187 the one we had the most discussion on which is again public participation at board meetings and
081really has a lot of the things that we were spoke to tonight and the discussion really revolved around a few things the merits of time limits do we look at three minutes or do we stay at five minutes per speaker um the merits of time limits of 30 minutes for public input versus 45 minutes for public input like we talked about well if we leave it at five minutes but kept it at 30 then it's that is only you know six speakers right um so that makes it really difficult so if you keep it at five you probably look at it longer if you're gonna put both of those things in they're tied together if you add both of them or if you just do one requiring people to give their address or requiring them
082the municipality of residence prior to speaking so we talked about the opportunity for people a that people sometimes don't feel comfortable um giving their specific address that you could just ask for the municipality right now that we're on youtube i don't think it's a good idea to give out addresses uh but the one concern from one of the policy members was like that there's times i give back to people like for example most of the things that we spoke to tonight were on the agenda right right so we're speaking to them but there's times people from the public input and as it's not on the agenda but they have a concern and then like i will get back to them or somebody else in our district we'll get back to them and having a way
083to make sure that we we know how to get a hold of them if they're a parent in districts it's pretty easy to be able to find the system but if they're not so trying to figure out a way to do that like having either their signing and having an email or what they did tonight like public input we have people put their email addresses um so i can get back to them if needed um and then a process for which the board could extend the length of the public input so there was quite a bit of conversation about that like you know could we could the board vote uh knowing that there's a topic coming up and we wanted the board wanted to extend that time and then wherever that would be placed right
084we had some discussion about like well after if you had if you had 45 minutes of public input would you then vote to extend it and i would recommend that that would be a really bad time to make that decision if you make that decision before it starts because at that point it looks like either you're you're pushing it because you you're agreeing with people or if you don't push it you're not agreeing and it just it puts the board in a really difficult position um so we put those together head of discussion i took input the policy committee brought that policy forward um the full board asking for your input on it as well and i can you just want to start with that one or you want me to go through the other
085ones as well let's start with that one so i just had a question like when i was on the started on the board for the first three years the public input was at three minutes it was always three minutes got changed in right there october 8th of 2018 and nobody no rumors why it got changed okay and is it restricted to citizens of the school district because it says citizens even the current policy says i know other districts don't allow there are districts out there that don't know objects yeah there are districts out there who don't allow people outside of their district to speak they only want to hear from people inside their district i don't know if ours is open or not it says citizen's throat i think the main thing that it was
086uh the thought was that in the past we've had police people that were running for a political office come and use citizen input that's not appropriate that's not us hearing from our constituents so is it strictly citizens so the current policy says desires to hear the viewpoint of citizens throughout the district right that would say you have to be in district yeah so if we okay it's like don't i think we had speakers tonight that don't live in the district so uh attorney representation is what you're asking about yeah i don't know the answer to that i would defer to our legal counsel for that one yeah i would have to ask if we can limit that or not just to citizens i don't know the answers 30 minutes versus 45 minutes what do we
087what this one has 30 minutes in it and is that time um just constantly rolling because i know we talked about that in the policy committee like we had talked about 45 minutes but then we said well that will really be more like an hour because of interchanging the people but like are we really going to stop a clock or are we going to it's going to be from 6 30 to 7 is public input i i don't think you can really do it i personally don't feel you could do it that way i think you have to give him a timer and there's people getting up and down and it's going to go longer than whatever time that's my reaction but if you say like three minutes in a 30 minute time period then
088you could limit it to 10 i mean you could well i mean it's this balance between hearing from as many people as possible for you know saying what they want to say versus you know doing the stuff that we have to do with all the all the other agenda items you know sometimes in the past when we've known that a lot of people have wanted to come for public input we've had a special meeting or we've had a public hearing you know hearing session and that's you know sometimes sometimes there's you know an obvious case for that and then but often you just you don't know until a few days before or when people sign up um and especially with an ongoing pandemic and so forth that's a little different than you know a single
089issue that has come up but in the beginning when we were having special meetings all the time we had many opportunities for public input because we were having two sometimes three meetings a month um that all have public input i think adam i met with other members from around the state on the wisconsin association of school boards last week and i asked them how they handle it in their school districts the first thing they said for some of them was that it's a choice to allow citizen input and that's how they started the general consensus was two to three minutes had one school district that offered 90 seconds multiple school districts limited the total amount of time to 30 minutes so and the part about five minutes versus three minutes yes i know when the
090policy was last done but i don't ever remember when it got shifted to five minutes we need people to bring information we don't need them to bring multiple written pages well this policy talks about i mean it's always fun to bring written stuff right i mean we're just talking about audio visual nobody that i spoke to and there was half a dozen people had anything other than verbal and that would include you know if you had it written down and we're reading it but there was no video clips or anything like that people can always email information the information that came from this policy came from neola policy service wasb policy services and other districts policy committee members gave me sample policies that they brought from other districts i looked from other districts so everything
091that's on here is from other districts this is nothing that is um that we came up with that was looking at what other districts are using for public input and trying to meet the guidelines that the committee has given me but these are some things we want to address and some of it has to do with um timing here but someone had to do you know some of the things that they're seeing across again was referenced some of the things that are going on across the across the state where there have been some very difficult board meetings and you know making sure that i would say for us our public input has been very respectful all the way through and but that's not the case everywhere in the state of wisconsin right when you write
092policy you got to look at all of those things so one of the things i know the committee wanted to do is like talk about what are the responsibilities of speaker for being respectful and being you know and some of those things so those pieces are added in there again from taken from other policies or other districts across the state so do we break this down into pieces like um between timing and then the rest of them or will we make it as a whole well so a couple things so this is the first read of a policy so you don't have to do anything with it right there's not a vote on it tonight um you can give suggestions and send it back to the policy committee if you have comments or suggestions now
093is the time to hear them um you could don't you don't have any you could move on to the next policy and then it will show up next month for a vote can you check on the citizen component i will yep yeah the other thing i would recommend that i recommend it to the policy committee is if this if if you do change the public input policy then it doesn't happen until like july first right that um it's something that happens at the start of a new school year to give people time to adjust and be ready for that policy change and again that's my recommendation you guys can do what you will but i will definitely follow up with the citizens versus anybody i would suggest that we remove line item d no participant
094may speak more than once on the same topic at a meeting i think it's a fine line total cross to tell people what they can and can't say um we're already limiting their time to three minutes that just means they can speak multiple times right that's how i'm reading it when we were talking about it in the policy committee we were talking about people coming back to meetings and bill had said okay they can't come to two more than two meetings and speak on the exact same topic so yeah that was in one of the samples yeah they're there's cool boards can't be redundant everyone can say the same thing over and over again so i think that just that puts you because i had asked the question well how are we going to stop
095the people and literally stop the mid sentence from talking so then just because it's the same topic adam literally will stop people from talking i think it will get divisive i think people they have the right to speak and they have the right to speak on whatever topic they want to as long as within the jurisdiction of this board just like it states in this country that we are involved so you're not talking about the same person talking numerous times in one meeting the policy that's what i thought that sentence meant okay i want to clarify that yeah there's there's another spot where it talks about you only be able to speak once and i think that's really important i mean if you do sometime a time limit you have to have something real something
096only speak once right if you're uh oh yeah say if we only have 45 minutes not everybody would get a chance to dominate that discussion you know getting back to the citizens like the people who are within the the um you know within the school district like if we're you know putting any limits whatsoever on number of people who can speak at any given meeting i would think we would have to limit it to people who live within the district because otherwise like um the district so they were good there that's why it was important to have people tell what municipality they were from so we okay never mind sorry are we okay with christie's suggestion did anybody have any opposition i think that's a good thing this so that's done and then the presiding
097officer seems to be because if i'm not here someone else is taking over the meeting this is all a change to presiding officer except in one spot so after i between the number before the numbers start at the bottom it says members of the public will not be recognized by the president during a period when the board conducted the presiding and then the big question sorry i mean i read this paragraph every meeting am i now reading this whole policy every meeting what are we suggesting wait so okay are you used to reading attached to the board docs and can't you just say refer to policy you can say whatever right i'm just wondering what is that that we do say i mean there's certain things we have to say because what their statute or
098something or yeah is it required to find out some districts give copies of the policy yeah i think it could just be available and you could just reference it one of the one of the things the committee talked about was if people sign up yes public input they would get a copy of this policy and yeah you should be able to um read it when you get here if you haven't i would say you would put a summary of this together right that that's your board president or presiding officer would read but you don't read the whole policy now so it becomes another paragraph basically a paragraph to replace the paragraph there was something i read somewhere in the red letters letter i unfortunately didn't comment it'll be limited in 30 minutes unless extended by
099the board of the board for the beginning of a public input so would that be like a reaction to the number of people who signed up is that kind of the we talked about that or like if we yes if it was kind of maybe a combination of we had a lot of people that wanted to speak or we didn't have a significantly heavy agenda that night where we felt we could devote some more time is there um a time uh like do people have to like sign up in advance or can can sign up as they come in or like is there anything usually sign up fridays and mondays fridays and mondays and then you can still sign up here so is this probably is this saying like before public input starts we would
100say okay normally it's 30 minutes or 45 minutes but tonight it's going to be i'm going to make a motion an hour and a half 30 minutes whatever two hours so if we have 30 people to sign up one meeting we have 60 people we want to allow all of them to speak we can extend it to one hour and let them all get it that would happen before public input the reason partially behind this is the meeting was it september when we had three hours august september the board was dead brain dude yeah yeah i understand and so if we couldn't have a meeting i mean we could have had public input and then but done and that would have been fine the media still had to schedule another meeting to come back and
101take care of the business of the board right i understand it's emotionally and mentally exhausting but this gives us the opportunity if it is a topic that we know that the public is very passionate about anybody here we have we have the opportunity to extend this we're not handcuffed by that 30 minutes right that's what i appreciate if we can do three hours we can do an hour today so then this goes back to public we'll come back to policy like we'll i will make the i've tweaked a couple things and i can bring it back to the policy committee and we can have conversation about that um the other question again i would say is the you know is the bull is this group feeling that 30 minutes is enough do you want to
102look at 45 or what what is that number before you answer that if we tweak what we're talking about here it can come back for second policy reading and be adopted next month if you take it back to committee and tweak it in a different way then it should come back for a first reading again just just to make it clear oh that's what i was asking what is is it okay to tweak it right now yeah doesn't so my i think i go back to my initial question then if it's that running clock for that 30 minutes or if we're literally it would be individual time with people coming up and down so it would run past 30 minutes so so the two when you're saying you have i'm sorry just to make that
103clear 10 30 minutes if you had three minutes you would allow 10 people to speak yes right so it'd be three minutes okay there's that so you would it would really come down to an amount of people that is what i would do so then i'm because i'm thinking you know if a handful of people only do two minutes or they just are real quick like why don't we just have it from a time frame and we estimate we know we can fit in this many people in this time frame 30 minutes or less of public input is what you're saying ten people with three or she's saying we could have more than 10 people if they only take right but we had 30 minutes so could you just have a running clock and stop
104it in between each speaker also i mean that would take care of that right or we could do 45 minutes and then we know that we can fit that many people in just do 45 minutes as a running clock and that gives us that buffer so that we know we're going to get approximately 30 minutes of speaking in but we have that that buffer already built in so it's not like all the logistics come out of stopping and starting the clock and the thing's not working just do flat 45 minutes and let's we can estimate that many of people at three minutes will fill this time with our week doesn't go down the line until we run outside it's important to not discriminate um from one person to another that's where the value of setting
105a time limit limit per person is important because you don't want to say well you gave this person three minutes and i only got one no we're still gonna give them their three i'm saying bill build in that buffer to our 30 minutes so that we're not starting and stopping the clock the whole time so i think what christie's saying is if you have a running clock to 45 minutes but you're timing people to three or whatever number you have once that 45 minutes is up i mean it could be written in here like so if a speaker has started but the 45 minutes is up they're allowed to finish their three minutes and then they're done right so that could be written written in here so it's really clear that's the idea you want
106to make it really clear so it's not well adam shut me down today but last week he let somebody else go or angie if she's the one who's running the meeting to shut me down last week adam would have let him go or something like that you just want to make it really clear so it's cut and dry and everybody knows exactly what that means and i can write it try to write an example in here like how that's run you give me the times that you're using i can use it it also helps if we have a great time error that has a noise on it and everybody gets it well so what you do is you probably have like adam have the timer he has no reset in three minutes and then we
107would have either marine or myself or something else have another timer that's set for 45 and we would just set it up here or for 30 or whatever that minute is and it would run and then when this one goes what we're speaking at that last one would be allowed to finish and then that would be the last speaker that's how i would see that working just trying to be as because you don't want to cut somebody off who's who just got 45 seconds into their their three minutes but because of you know it taking too long for people to try to transition well and then if you have somebody calling in that it takes a little longer to usually so we've never had call in we adopted call in because we've coded hopefully this
108will go away and get rid of calling i think colin is nice for people though i agree because there's people that just couldn't get here that have colin was something the policy committee discussed but if we were going to do it we need to have someone other than a board member man the phone so that the board members can concentrate on what is being said yes so then the other thing that that comes into play in that situation is are we only setting this policy up for our regular monthly board meetings or are we setting up a policy for committee meetings no because it says that's 20 187.3 is we're going to adopt this for committee meetings so there's two other policies in here about have to do with public input that the policy committee
109talked about one was 187.1 which they felt just repeated everything that was in policy 187 so the policy committee is recommending we retire that policy and the other one was 187.3 which is regarded the board committee meetings and that policy revision just states that the board committee decides to have public input again they don't have to we we typically have they will follow the procedures outlined in policy 187 which is what we're talking about right so including the timeline time length because like those committee meetings like sometimes they're an hour and a half and then the next meeting starts you know you know 45 minutes of public input would be a lot easier well then how do you do the committee stuff you know i understand you'd have to limit you'd have to make it
110a workable limit because a lot of times we have um back-to-back meetings yeah right because those have a hard ending it's not like oh go on into one well you can't have so much citizen input that you can't take care of your business and then you got to come back again so but then like so like 30 or 45 minutes wouldn't work because that'd be more than half let me have the video not for the policy right so you either got to adjust the amount of time that they can talk or put a hard limit on the number of people well if you give in in a committee meeting if you give ten people three minutes each that's a lot of people yeah yes right and rarely do up until today rarely have we ever
111had three people right we have had three people but it's been rare well then so the thing that's gonna happen like if if um if you have an hour and a half meeting and then you do have a lot of people who want to speak and so you do 45 minutes a night 45 minutes and then you're gonna have to have like another meeting like another pop like another committee meeting you have to start adding meetings because because it doesn't have to right it doesn't have to align that's how it's set up right now but you want to make your policy committee meeting or your committee meetings be a shorter time frame or a longer timeframe you can write that in this agenda i think that that because of the nature of the committee meetings
112that it the it should be like like the baseline should be shorter but it could also have that same like clause in there like you you could decide that there's a lot of interest in that we want to have this meeting be more you know more public input because it's just says it just depends on what you want to limit it to right so it depends on i would agree like a policy committee meeting um 40 like 45 minutes of public input would be a lot because you're dealing with those back-to-back meetings some of those nights but some there's the two come from that are back to back where you know you can't you can't keep going because you know what it it just is if you stay at 30 or not but i think
11330 is a max right for the commitment i'm sorry that's not what i mean i mean rarely will we ever go to 30 because right but you could also put something in policy that talks about timing you know we will follow this policy except for you know we will have a minimum or maximum length of however many minutes you want julia for the board well if it's not going to go into effect until next summer okay i think it should go back to policy yeah i mean we didn't talk about that part of it i i feel kind of uncomfortable with just tweaking it right now and then having it be a second read i kind of feel like these discussions so let's put it back on for first reading sorry policy committee one what
114is the time limit you want like are you looking at 30 because that we're going to get back in policy and go okay so what what time do i want 30 minutes or 45 for the the board meeting yeah i say 45 i say 45. is that what you're thinking 45 maybe a couple naughty hands we just did an hour tonight over an hour and it wasn't terrible i think it's a happy medium between right limiting totally versus unlimited right um it's more than what's in here so i can move that to 45 but maybe committee meetings are 30 minutes i can write those in somehow yeah it's not too much 30 might even be a lot it is a lot but again don't show up and so if if that continues then we're fine
115if people show up then it's a problem that doesn't come out right people should show up people should get posted it's just a few it's just something to do in the committee right have more interest well then then we need you know then that maybe it's like okay now we need a listening session or we need some other kind of view i agree with that if it's a very you know big subject that people want when there's more time why don't you try three minutes on committee meetings not to exceed 20 total of actual talking time 20 minutes yep which would be 30 minutes of so a running clock of 20 minutes or a running clock at 30 minutes 20. i mean if you think that would like i was kind of thinking 15 minutes
116like it was five people five people coming to a committee meeting would be a lot you could put the clause in there the same clauses the chairman of the committee meeting could vote as a committee to increase running time of 20 minutes three minutes a person with the clause that we can vote before public input starts yeah i think so i mean i will bring it back to the policy committee um the other two policies that are on here for first read um are correspondents for the board of education policy 161 again in reviewing our policy um it really talks about prior to email the support policy talks so again talking to the policy committee they just talked about retiring this policy so that was the recommendation for retiring that policy so any questions about
117that and then school district philosophy and mission policy 110 obviously we just did a new strategic plan and we have a new mission statement so it's just adding our new mission statement replacing the old mission statement on policy 110. that's the only change any comments 809 policy review for second readings yeah these two second reads are pretty simple straightforward we're just adding our title ix coordinator name and contact information um to policy 410 and policy 510 which are required and obviously if we as you know our policy or our title ix coordinator changed over the summer um so we just we updated all of them and we missed these two so we just updated that person's name it used to be very nice you just put in there like title line coordinator now it has
118to be actually their specific name has to be in the policy so every time that that changes you have to actually make the policy change i will move to approve the revisions to policy number 410 and revisions policy number 510 is presented nice second thought my christian secondly terry further discussion say hi hi to zero there are no gifts and donations this month administrator reports lodi primary school so um we have a few administrators missing tonight because there are different things coming up right and so amy had a family thing and there was not a whole lot of the agenda that impacted the primary school so she is not here um adria the same thing um john looked the same thing what lodi elementary osc schools all right i'm just holding mine up so give
119me one second oh mr richter is going tonight as well first night of hockey i'm sure he's sitting in the stands watching his phone uh so you have the reports so you see conferences are coming up this week and this weekend next and our windsor concert is slated so that's exciting we took a year off obviously from that we completed our data review meetings which is where we go over each student's individual performance from the fall of the year and then talk about plans for what we will be doing instructionally both in the classroom and in small groups for those students and then you have pictures of homecoming dress-up days which is always a ton of fun and you approved our safety drills reports so we've completed those one new one this year is that
120we did bus evacs for all kids so kids that ride the bus do a bus evac somewhere on the route because that could be a spot where they have to evacuate the bus and kids need to be able to know what to do if there's a lone driver as opposed to you know a whole bunch of school staff around helping out and looking to their teacher instead of the driver so in the planning for that kobuson one of the representatives from close and said would you be willing to do a whole school event because kids go on field trips kids do different things and if they're not riding the bus regularly they would not have it so we did make a schedule everybody in school went through the evac drill that one was done right
121outside in a bus that was just parked um so there was there was at least their teacher there uh but i think that was a great addition and a good way to just keep our kids safe and prepared um and then we had our costume parade on the 29th and um we also had a fire our last fire drill was with fire department presence so we try to do that at least once a year and october was when we did it and then that rolled right into um fire prevention training for from the fire department for our kiddos as well and that's my report to school yeah so we continue our journey with social emotional learning we're continuing doing lessons so far this year we've done lessons for students and they're in sets of six
122we did them on self motivation identifying emotions and impulse controls the one we're currently on and this last month we gave a survey to all students that try to help students measure themselves in terms of the five castle competencies which are self-management self-awareness social awareness relationship skills and relationship dis i'm sorry responsible decision making and what we'll do then is use the results of those surveys to decide what are the lessons that our students feel like they need so it's going to give us an idea if they feel like they need some training and the skills of responsible decision making this is going to tell us that and then we can be responsive to what they feel like they need we have a couple new staff members jennifer hall is taking over in the position
123of eighth grade social studies she's taking over for ann kirschbaum who moved to the high school guidance counseling position and jonah getline has been hired as our permanent sub to be shared with the middle school and the high school keeping the theme of safety drills going and we've completed our alice training we had the lodi fire department was present for our last fire drill i want to thank them for coming out there i want to thank them for their service the kids liked their presence and getting pictures and taken with them i also want to recognize for national school lunch week melissa getline and charlie chalmers for all the deliciousness they serve up each day and i also just want to give a shout out to taher and general i think they've done an outstanding
124job and the kids in the middle school have said how much of an improvement it's been the food selection that they have i also have lots of pictures for you of homecoming festivities which is a great week and some classroom activities but i also want to highlight trail trekkers so trail trekkers is i don't say a team but it's just an opportunity for kids that paula tun and jessie lana are organizing and it's an opportunity for kids to um hop on a bus go to an ice age trail and get a hike in every wednesday night i think that's a really great opportunity for our students and we have about 20 kids that are participating at each week and that's all i have thank you for putting in the classroom activities it's amazing to see
125that stuff happening and can you pass that around to other administrators that we could see other classroom activities yeah going down that's really great um have you noticed any shortages of tahr stuff or not because they were they were talking about there might be food supply shortages and things like that i'm getting alerts in the morning that sometimes the menu's changing but we haven't necessarily had any shortages that i'm aware of they're thinking on the go and making things happen yeah they're feeding what's there good but we've had food curriculum yeah so i took the opportunity just to share a little bit about um as a huge green bedpackers fan i'm excited that we have two um not just one but two grants that we were awarded from the green bay packers foundation and we
126heard about one tonight and that was nikki shineman but also dwayne daly representing the school district art department had submitted a green bay packers foundation grant and he was awarded 3 500 so with the 3 000 from nikki shinman's and then the 3 500 from dwayne gateways both just really innovative things i mean this was nothing that was prompted by an administrator it was nothing that was prompted by um you know someone their value or anything like that they just took it upon themselves they researched the grant they they went about it they asked a few questions you know to get some information they needed to submit the grant but it was really just all educators putting in that effort and doing some really cool things like the art department they're going to be using
127that those dollars to um purchase some digital drawing software for ipads and they'll be able to buy some of the maybe seen them like the apple pencils to help give a digital drawing experience obviously we're still going to be doing some of the traditional drawing experiences but giving students just another innovative uh technology experience that they probably won't be able to get in many districts so just super excited about that team and putting forth the effort there's a nice picture on there of uh you know nikki cinnamon and cody endress and dwayne daley and would be real large at lambeau getting their checks so i wanted to see that i was really excited the next one was peer review mentoring grant so it's a grant that we can apply for through the state and it
128is a competitive grant there's only so many dollars that are awarded for that and we were awarded the peer group mentoring grant this year for 12 500 and so we use those funds to provide mentor stipends so we take a veteran teacher we pair that with a teacher who's new to the school district so that they can have a mentoring experience there's kind of monthly activities that we ask the mentor teacher to support the new teacher with throughout the school year also we use like if we have a new teacher that wants to go maybe their new elementary teacher and then they want to go to a professional development session to learn how to use our everyday math curriculum we can pull from those uh grant dollars to send them to some pd and things
129like that so it's um it's a nice that we're awarded that grant and i think we i applied for it last year and it was about 9 000 i believe at that time so we had a little bit of bump this year then the last part is we're really excited joe gellnick at the high school principal and myself we are running the community connection business partnership ppg or professional practice goal that teachers can participate in this year we have 30 plus educators that met we had our first meeting and we really just talked about academic and career planning in the school district of lodi and how can we reach out and start to connect with community and regional businesses and have some activities planned where we can have some of those businesses come into our
130classrooms at every level from our primary and elementary all the way up through our high school then we'll also have part of the team who's really going to be focused in on doing an annual um career fair that we'd like to start to get going so we're in our initial discussions and conversations about some of those things can look like but we're excited and it was really energetic meeting our first meeting of course that'd be phenomenal okay okay the ben court 21 century cannabis virtual presentation was well attended with approximately 50 people in attendance the presentation was recorded and will be available to view on lcat's website in the near future we are also working on a 10-minute highlight video from the presentation that will be available to view sometime in november we will continue
131to develop talking points and dialogue around the important messages from mr court it was on the delta eight cannabis the next lcat meeting is on november 17 2021 at 11 a.m everyone is always welcome and your input is always appreciated we are working on a lodi pride video roll out which will happen sometime in november this video includes clips from our community in school and its purpose is to continue to promote pride in our community and community members brian will begin to meet with the high school leadership group partnering with mason kittleson and jim mckellar we appreciate this opportunity to revive the fact fact youth group fact is a national our nationwide youth group that works to spread the truth about nicotine and tobacco and their unhealthy consequences we know that messaging from peers are
132often the most impactful and then student services is not here but you have the report district administrator yeah so a couple things i want to talk about one is i hate to mention it but we have inclement weather we have to start worrying about that um hopefully we don't have to if anybody is interested in helping make those calls your phone number um but just we talked about it as administrative team obviously one of the things that comes up with having gone virtual a while ago was well are we gonna have snow days and what we talked about was like again what we did last year was like the first two days are gonna be snow days unless we know a long time in advance because the issue we're gonna run into is um our
133high school middle school most of those kids can take their chromebooks home every day our younger kids don't take their things home every day um but for example if we know like what we had a couple years ago where you know there's a cold you know a big huge cold snap coming through and there's a chance we may miss four days of school and we know what's coming then we can get those devices in kids hands and do some virtual education so we're not having to like a few years ago we had 11 days something like that um but again the idea would be the first couple days and then if we can plan for it um but again we kind of had that idea last year and then there was a back-to-back snow day
134right it just you just think that the next day and it's just the way the roads are in the morning just happens so that's kind of our plan moving forward and that's always subject to change as we continue to move because the prediction this year is a lot of wet heavy snow and it melts all on the weekends good luck with that no um that's not what i want to hear but we will make whatever decision shows up on our front door that's the decision we need to make community survey i know was mentioned tonight where's the community survey out we are looking for people's input there is a lot of information in there that gives a background of why the district will be looking at referenda but looking at asking for information for from
135the community there was a reminder about all community members um and it is due november 22nd there will be a report on that survey by school perceptions um on december 13th here at the board meeting which is a third party group and i know we went through about 15 14 different surveys before we came down with the final one through the facility finance committee strategic planning just to let you know when we continue out uh everybody has seen our strategic plan um you know we are really working on uh developing a district scorecard uh as we've heard tonight from some people you know preparing for the future is huge this is a piece that we've been working on since i've been district administrator we've been working on um now dr karls has spoken to him
136many times on a lot of the work that we're doing at our primary and elementary school on literacy and our middle school and math it's something we've talked about in the curriculum committee frequently and we've talked about these committees at these meetings through his board reports frequently we talked about if we did a presentation on it um and then it's the community piece as well affinity partnership as dr farrell talked about today with the ppg of having staff work on some of those things so we're really working on that first pillar nurturing the whole child again his first morning time talked about those social emotional learning lessons and things like that and again these are the things that our community has told us are their priorities for us to work on so working on academic
137work on career planning working on social emotional learning and nurturing the whole child working on innovation communication so we're going to do some work on communications we're going to work on our district workforce making sure that we can attract and retain staff which is really important as we know in the news there are shortages of the labor shortage we had labor charges in education before the pandemic started it hasn't gotten any better and again trying to work and put things in place so we can retain and attract staff into this great community because we need great staff and we have great staff but we need to keep them and then when they do leave we need to you know attract new ones and then operational excellence not only doing what we're doing now but making
138sure that we are planning for the future again so we're continuing to work on this we are developing a district-wide scorecard that will look at all of these and cascading so having some specific goals that go down in a couple of these areas because we want to do it right we don't if we can cascade all five down but it's not going to be done with fit all you want to make sure we're doing it right and working our way through that so something that we continue to do this is on our website you can look at that and there will be an update um for the board more specifically at our next board meeting so something that we continue to do and finally there is a board um i guess the question would be
139their wasb is doing a board survey through school perceptions um really looking at at governance models and don't know if the board would be interested in taking this it is i can pass it around um why would they just send it to us because you don't have to participate and then there's another piece either you can just get the results or they will write you a report and then charge you for the report right so it's just something on board governance if the board is interested in us looking i can dig into it further and get that information to you and have you do that survey you could use as part as your self-evaluation process in the in january maybe they did send it to us i think just let me know if that's something
140you want to do or we can put it on the agenda for the next board meeting or we can take it to one of the we could take it to uh i think policy sorry wouldn't it just literally be us going online and answering questions if you want to do it or not as a board as a floor that's the problem that's the part like i don't all want to do it afterwards not just individually doing it that would really help so would you want us to let you know on that well yeah so you can just look at it let me know and i could bring it back to any any if we want to have a committee look at it a little more deeply right and then bring it back to the board
141of the committee contract review chinese uh so you may have noticed ashley richards is not here our student board rep she is doing a sound check tonight for the high school musical oh and all of you should have bought your tickets to go see high school musical yeah it is next weekend and the following weekend there is a free show for our senior citizens on thursday at 1pm okay don't they also show it to the high school sometimes kids go over that place okay all right so that's going to be amazing it's a very big production and then i also wanted to thank joe joe nick not really joe john link but um the people behind the high school doing the video advocate reports [Music] mr potter are the ones who worked on getting the
142equipment good um for us to be able to do that okay and then uh mrs potter is the one who um advises yeah that's group of students they're very cool because when you watch those videos they're very uh these the kids seem like they're having a blast doing those things and for us to watch those videos while we're going through this very large amount of information it's a good relief at the end to watch those videos and watch those kids having fun ah yes reports season five um i was not able to attend the meeting uh due to sick employee but there was a presentation by the special education department and kind of routine stuff so i'll have a meeting with them in at the wasb board we've got some activities that we do at
143that state convention okay we have a double co-curricular report double this year's musical disney high school musical on stage opens this weekend and will take place on saturday november 13th at seven o'clock sunday november 14th at 2 p.m friday november 19th at 7 p.m and saturday november 20th at 7 pm in the high school performing arts center tickets will be available online with reserved seating the swim team competed at deforest sectional this past weekend placing 10th overall senior ella pulse advanced to the state swim meet this weekend and this weekend at the waukesha south natatorium the cross country team participated in division two sectional at prairie du chien on saturday october 24th the boys placed third overall and the girls placed ninth one runner from lodi advanced to state the lodi cross country season came
144to an end on saturday october 30th at the state meeting wisconsin rapids with parker hence finishing 80th with a time of 18 minutes and six seconds the football team finished the regular season with an overall record of seven wins and three losses and a conference record of five wins and two losses the football season came to a close in the first round of the playoffs with a 29-20 loss at kewaskum on friday october 22nd the soccer team won their first regional game at campbell's port on thursday october 21st the season came to a close on saturday october 23rd when the soccer team was defeated two to nothing by top seeded st john's northwest military academy the volleyball team finished the regular season with an overall record of 14 wins 19 losses and a conference record
145of two wins and eight losses they won their first regional game on october 19th at mayville the season came to a close on october 21st with the loss to top seeded sauk prairie okay thank you osc i didn't make it to the meeting since i was in policy committee meeting but uh osc had their first major field study they went to the mississippi river museum in dubuque iowa it was a great experience um and then the blue devil buddies started again with mrs paul's high school health class so students have been um being pen pals with their high school buddies i know from my son that they did an in-person visit last week contract review all right so um we did talk about the calendar the other thing we talked about is having the committee
146meetings being in the different buildings going forward so we do have a calendar for that which i am sure you will be all seeing so like the next policy committee meeting is going to be at the high school on november 16th and then there'll be like a listening session kind of an informal time with the board members who are on that committee to be at that building um touring yeah possibly taking a tour or being present so that any of the um staff who would like to meet the board members talk to board members it's just that's a real kind of informal time also yeah to get in the schools see some of the things that are happening see some of the facilities um and then have the meeting actually there and then like if
147people want to stay for the meeting they certainly can um and so it looks like we i think we've got like the next meeting of each of the committees is at a different building and then we talked about whether we would just continue to do that or um you know see how it goes and then so i think we did talk about the timings with everybody each committee member to make sure that everybody could get to the meetings or meetings we get to him early so i thought that would be a good way to um get more um you know interaction with the staff and hear what their concerns are and see what's going on in the schools more so than being in the you know the one building here you see this plenty so
148i think that's going to be really um i think it's going to be really great to get out more and um happy you know finger on the pulse of what's happening but better um we talked about the calendar we also talked we've had like a constant agenda item about kobe 19 leave about possibility of giving additional leave for um quarantining or other coveted needs at this point those expire like all those additional leaves that we gave expired at the end of the last last year so we haven't made any recommendations regarding adding additional leave at this point but we're keeping it on the agenda because um you know it can be a real hardship for staff who need to be who need to be or or are sick or have sick family members and they're
149using using up their leave so at this point like um i mean there's always a possibility to come to the board for you know extenuating circumstances okay next is curriculum nick could you put on the agenda to talk about changing chair of curriculum to christy for next month because i kind of missed last month um we did meet on october 13th and we talked about phonics and spelling word studies at the primary elementary school and how that would be currently being implemented at the primary school and will be implemented in elementary and then we also talked about bringing back and implementing advanced learner services and then facility finance uh facility finance we met on november 3rd and we talked about the upcoming referendum lots of information looking at the maintenance facility study done by c.g
150schmidt and also a green space study from point of beginning we also talked about the community survey that is in the works we discussed a police resource officer the city of lodi was interested in i guess not sharing but i think it has to do with the traffic jam out at the four-way so we were we just kind of discussed that we took no action on that um we felt at this point the district doesn't have the funding to do anything with the city really so that's kind of how that was left we did look at the process to name a field and that was referred i believe to policy you might be seeing that or not or no policy but no so we did talk talk about that but again we took no action
151on that either and then we are also planning uh at our next meeting to meet and i can't remember which school i'm confused off it's the middle school or the primary school one of the ones uh to do a listening session before our next meeting and get a tour of the school it'll it'll stay on here yeah and our next meeting is january 5th no but it'll say when you go to read about the meeting it'll say where the meeting is going to be yeah to remind you yeah i can just review those quickly it's november 16th and tuesdays the policy committee that's going to be at the high school november 17th at elementary his curriculum committee december 1st contract review committee is going to be at the middle school and then january 5th civilian
152finance committee will be as a primary school some of those dates are wrong in the future agenda yeah i'll make sure we get update those and future agenda items and policy here we shared everything with you you've seen what we've been working on got it all thank you future meeting and agenda items are listed there but they're incorrect so we'll fix that we do not need to return to closed session [Music] you're now adjourned you
