the end all be all. Um, so again, thank you for the task force. It's uh, like Chris said, there's there's certainly a lot of meetings involved. Um, and I think if if we all work together, we can come up with something that that is reasonable for everybody. Anything else on consolidation plan? I'll just briefly update on branding. Yeah, branding. Yep. Um I gave a um an update two weeks ago at the joint meeting. I don't really have anything prepared, but just to update everyone again that the voting is open for the um potential consolidated name and mascot. So that will be open until March I think 11. It went out in the um so that Greenwood folks will get that. Um, do you know how many results have come in yet? No, I have no

idea. Okay. I haven't checked with the office. Um, all of the elementary kids here got paper ones and then Travis, the middle school, high school got they got emails, an email. Yeah, the link. Yep. The link, but I have no idea. Um, sure. Look at on the 11th. I'm going to wait to see. I don't want to sort through any of that yet. We're going to take it to the entire committee to sort through. We want to bring all of it to the committee and let everybody count and sort and whatever. So yeah, another big thanks to the branding committee. Big undertaking. Huge undertaking. Yes, I would like to thank both. A lot of work being done. Just just wanted to bring up one thing just so so it doesn't catch anyone by surprise or

that I have anything planned here but you know I was asked and and so was the member from Greenwood asked to be part of the business committee. My thought and and this is you know we we talked about you know giving more opportunities for our students and um certainly heard a lot more at our state convention different schools that have have gone that route. We certainly have looked at what other schools are doing in the with Whiteall and that group schools as well as over by Luxembourg Casco. Um, I would be really I would really like to know if the technical colleges if there was space available if they could use that space for learning. And that I'm talking both student learning as well as adult learning and if there's other programs that could they

could see us um assisting us with. So I have talked to Mr. Linder about it. Just asking is is it worth having contacting the technical colleges in particular North Central Technical College here to see if there are any programs that they would want to offer if there was space available you know or something that they could assist. And the reason I bring that up is if in the planning process of the task force is there, you know, when they're looking at usage of buildings, you know, is there some merit in looking at that and giving kids more an opportunity what, you know, and tying it into some, you know, jobs, careers in our area that would be beneficial to those students and to our communities. So that's that's kind of what my thought is. You

know, I have nothing in mind what could what the possibilities are, but I guess just trying to have some discussion with the technical colleges to see if there's any anything there and then and then you asked the question well is there you know what type of funding would be available or grants or yes using space differently. We met, we had our parent teacher conferences across the district at the end of January. Um, we had a good showing on the elementary end, a decent showing on the middle school, high school end. We were pretty busy with some group conferences. Um, February brought along random acts of kindness week. So, our school counselor, Miss Ms. Surley, um, paired up with Miss Mrs. Zarky and the student council to put on different events for our students that included

hearts hidden around the building. Um kindness statements taped on lockers, hot chocolate on Friday. So they kind of paired up to do some fun events. So a huge thank you to those students that were involved. Um we had Mike Evans stop in from HRS. He met with our guiding coalition team to really kind of talk about assessment and student engagement pieces due to the fact that students are different and uh they need a little bit of different strategies to keep them engaged in what's happening in the classroom. Um he also worked with Justin and I in classrooms doing some observations and practicing with our model of instruction observation method. Um we had seal a smile in the district that service students can or elementary through high school um to help with uh healthy teeth. And

uh a document that was shared with you guys earlier was our district early literacy remediation plan. Something we have to have within the district due to act 20 and all the laws. um that kind of goes along with the a AGR uh what we're doing to support students um that are struggling in the areas of reading. Um it's kind of laid out, this was put together with our title team and our reading specialist, Amanda Schloo from Greenwood. Um so huge thank you to the title team for putting this together of all the things we're trying to do to support learning and close gaps um for our primary students. Uh moving on to the elementary, uh we'd like to celebrate our January PBIS golden ticket winners. Uh so congratulations to Aubrey Caspersonson, Paisley Schiller, who is

here tonight. Um Darien Verhol, Gavin Liry, Gemma Hendrickson, and Lydia Mueller. Um congratulations. And then we will have our February drawing here uh very soon. Um our elementary staff had a data day. So, this was where we look at students uh reports from our winter testing to look at where areas that students are closing gaps where we still have to work and focus on certain parts. And um we also utilized that day third, fourth, and fifth grade staff went to Aliva Strum with myself. Uh observed the school, looked at what personalized learning looked like there. Um, it's always nice to get out and talk to different teachers to see what they're doing, what the building looks like, what the culture feels. Um, so that was a nice trip that we took in the morning and

then came back and did our data in the other half of the day. Um, so a huge thank you to those staff for giving up their time. And then our first graders also went to the Lucille Tax Center for a field trip. Uh, middle school, high school, I feel like we have a lot of updates for you uh because there's just been a lot going on in the last month. Uh we'll start with our PBIS award winners for middle school. Best effort uh was Bo Bower. Our loyal proud student was Ada Shaft. And then our student of the month for middle school was Eston Paul. So congratulations. Um high school, our best effort went to Daniel Ruez. Our loyal proud student went to Maya Loner and our student of the month was Hunter Walter. So

congratulations to those students. Um in January we wrapped up our trimester 1 awards. So students sixth grade through 12 got awards for their academic achievements through try 1. Um on the same night of parent teacher conferences, Miss McShurley and Miss Sarky put together a junior and senior night hosted so they could come in and look at scholarship applications, look at different information for um colleges. It was highly attended from the group that we had available because of a basketball game that interfered, which is great for them. But um so a huge shout out to them for trying to get kids more knowledge and more materials and resources. Our middle school spelling bee was hosted and Miss um Mrs. Lecterhan ended up taking three of our students to compete uh at CISA. Um I don't think

either any of them really placed in the top five. Uh but they all did a great job uh of going and representing Loyal. So a huge shout out to them. Um Mr. Schiller was here reported on RLC at Loyal. Again, a huge thank you to uh Jonah for running a very successful day and a huge thank you to all the people involved. Again, it takes all of us to do big events like this. Um, and it's always nice to hear when other people in districts thank us for doing a job well done because again, it took all of us to do that. Um, FFA attended the world's toughest rodeo. Um, we had a high school activity day where students were able to go to Bruce Mouth and or go ice fishing for the day. We

did have some students choose to stay back and work on some academics as well and support elementary staff during the day. Um, and then again, Mr. Um, Schiller highlighted on the CTSO of our FFA, FBA, and FCCLA groups working together um to put on something a little different this year, which was kind of fun. An activity at the end of the Friday um of a mid basketball and blind volleyball. Kind of a fun event for kids. So, all right. Next, we have some extracurricular updates. Uh, first we'll talk about wrestling. Uh, as a team, they finished second at the conference tournament, which was a couple weeks ago. Um, congratulations to Adam Coucher, Jake Leterhand, and Jack Meyer for all being conference champions. Um, and then also congratulations to Chase Litner, Jerome Buchanan, and Evan Coutser

for being honorable mention in all conference. So, they finished third uh at the conference meet. Um, special shout out to Adam Coucher and Jake Lecter for qualifying for the WIA state individual wrestling tournament. Um, they will wrestle tomorrow night. Their session starts at 6 p.m. and they will wrestle twice. Um, we do have a state sendoff tomorrow at 8:15 um to kind of send them off with positive uh vibes and and good luck here for their uh trip down to state. Girls basketball, they finished their regular season with a 12-2 record. Um they earned a six seed in the tournament and last night they beat Lake Hulcom. Um so they will play again Friday uh at Owen Wy. Um, so just wanted to say good luck to the girls. Um, we do know the allconerence

awards uh for girls basketball. So, cong uh congratulations to Mallalerie Jacobe and Addie Coleman'sburgger. They both received honorable mention all conference. Uh, next, boys basketball finished second in conference. I believe their record is 21-2. Um, potentially one of the best records in school history. Uh, so that is quite an achievement. So, good job, boys. Um they ended up earning a number one seed in the WIA tournament. So they will get a first round buy. Um and they will play I believe that is Friday uh next week. Um they also have a conference crossover game on Saturday uh which will be at 1:00 in Mealsville against Fall Creek. Um and then lastly, just wanted to say congratulations to Marcos Torres. Uh he qualified for state and Zolone Ensemble um this past weekend. Um, so that state

event will take place later in the spring. So, congratulations to Marcos. Big shout out to Jake. I think that's his second trip to state. It is his second. Adam's first. Adams first. Yes. Good luck, guys. Big big shout out. Good luck to all teams. You good? Super report. Okay. I'd like to congratulate Kellen Kurs for qualifying for a FCCLA state officer position. He is not a state officer yet, but he's in the running for a state officer. So, uh, wish him good luck with getting nominated for that position. A little side note with this. Um, I think our loyal high school has been very fortunate the last couple years not only to have FCCLA state officers, but we have FPLA state officers. We have FFA state officer officers. So, I think um that bodess well

for our co-curriculars and and their their adviserss in those co-curriculars. Um, so congratulations to all them and thank you to our adviserss uh for all their hard work.
