something that we can use. >> It has a hand and that is veryatch right now. It's good. Yeah. >> So, for those that don't know what esports is all about, when you have you have practice in the room, what you what you do for competition right out of that room. Correct. All right. So, you don't travel anywhere. All right. >> Oh, sorry. >> The only traveling that we do is if we made it to like state or something is we get in the room and there would be computers against computers. It's like still that energy of being in eports but being brought together. >> Yeah. Just on both sports, no uh transportation. You know, we're creative with our athletic directors are creative in getting the kids over there and then a lot of times, you
know, it's just gracious enough to grab a van and run back to Loyal. So, it's it's worked out so far. I don't know. Is this I think this might be the first time we've actually had a winter. >> No, spring. >> Spring is the one that we >> I recruited recruited and this is also our first time. Um the go partnership with Nintendo and I was able to get two Mario Kart games and all. So now we have Mario Kart and that is one and I think I should have Mario. So be the first time you ran Springs. >> As far as furniture goes, we were fortunate to have a a Greenwood alum uh who works for a furniture company Spectrum, uh Sean Stanford made a made it very possible with some donations to outfit
us with some adequate tables and and chairs. So, we have a it's a pretty good setup, but they are high-tech computers and they're they're high need processing. So, those are computers that probably need upgraded a little more often than some of your standard ones. >> Thank you both. Great job. Good luck this season. >> Yep. >> Thank you. Good luck. Quarantine updates from my HSR. >> Good evening. We want to take you through give you our people online can use that. >> Okay. to give you an idea on what we've been doing over the last few weeks. And so we're going to take you through this little PowerPoint presentation, but uh if you have any questions, certainly feel free to interject at any time. >> Sure. So, we've been here quite a lot the past
month and we've done a lot since the last time we saw you guys. So, we'll start with the slide. So the packet in front of you, try not to read ahead or too much in your packet. You get caught in the weeds of way too much words. So um so first we're going to talk about the experience blueprint which we um took feedback from you all last time and turned into a document that the the joint task force is going to use as their guidelines going forward. Their first meeting is the 2nd of February. So that is the first sheet in your packet. Looks like this. So these are all like the feedback we got from you of what the guidelines should be for that task force. So review that at your leisure. The core
team has already gone through it too, but they're going to come back to that every time they have a question of does this follow the parameters that the boards want. Okay. And we're going to talk about the community listening sessions. hopefully you were here or people who attended and we'll talk about the feedback that we collected from both communities. We did have a number of staff interviews, some digital and some interviews in person. So, we'll talk about that feedback and then we'll talk about what's next before the next time we're back here in a month. Okay, perfect. So this last Wednesday on the 7th of January. I'm going to look past you as I'm reading it, but you know. Anyway, so we were at both schools for the community listing session. The first meeting was
in Greenwood and it was open to all community to show up to whichever meeting was more um convenient for you. So don't call it the Greenwood meeting or the loyal meeting. That's where they were located. First one, there were probably 10 community members that weren't board members. Guys are all really important, but I didn't count you the number. Then in meeting number two, there was probably 24 community members that showed up not counting the board. So I'm just going to walk through. We ended up doing eight different questions to your community and I'm going to walk through the highle summary pushing together meeting one and meeting two responses. So across community, both communities, these are the synthesized answers that we heard from everybody. And I and I get into I get into a little more
detail in your board packet. There's we took the raw data and you have that but this is the synthesized big big picture. If you ever want to look a little deeper maybe not what I'm talking but you know you can go back home and look at the the real raw results that's all at your fingertips too. So the first question that we asked both both at both meetings were what should your what about your school or community that feels most important to protect? Um, you'll see this throughout. The questions are kind of similar throughout. So, you'll see a similar style answer, but the first one was community identity, pride, and small town culture. So, I think a lot of people in this room could probably relate to that being the general sentiment that all communities
want to preserve. Um, I'm not going to read everything here, but you know, the school identity, community collaboration, student center education, and then, you know, the the big question about the economic and community anchoring communities that's important to everyone that came. The second question was, what do you want students to feel or have access to regardless of consolidation outcomes? So, I love this one because a safe, caring, and inclusive school community was number one general theme across both meetings. So, that's really, you know, nice to see that that's at the forefront. So, question three. Sorry about that. All right. What worries you the most when you think about consolidation? So number one is community identity, unity and pride. Second, student experience, learning, staff morale, retention, school culture, logistics, facility, operational planning, and then community and
economic sustainability. And I can't imagine that's a shock to anyone here that those are the top things that a community is worried about. Go on to four. What would success look like for your community in 10 to 20 years from now? So, I love this one. It's is student success and future preparedness. As any most average district, that is like the number one goal. So, I love to see that it's in both communities. Um, strong, high quality, thriving schools, community and school unity, positive environment, and staff well-being, growth and sustainability within the community. Again, Okay. And then we did another exercise where was the um people at their table and small groups were able to discuss openly with each other about um some of the some of these questions. The first was what feels hardest
about this conversation. Kind of no surprise the community and school of identity is number one student centered focus uncertainty fear of the unknown. We've heard that over and over again. communication, information, data, and collaboration and forward planning is are what folks were most concerned about in both communities. Then the next one I did break up by medians and I I don't want to get in the community A or community B because like I said, anyone could have attended, but in the first meeting, what do you hope is truly understood about your community? and I broke them up even though they're pretty similar, but I thought it was important data for you all to have that maybe they're a little bit different in the two different um meetings settings. So, strong collaboration, mutual support, commitment to
student success, respect, integrity and pride, openness and flexibility. And then uh in meeting two very similar strong community identity, family oriented change is difficult of importance of school and education and a one school vision. So I just saw that those ended up being a little bit different than a unified answer. So I didn't keep those separate. And like I said, you have all the raw data in front of you, too. So you can make, you know, some of your own conclusions, too. I'm not forcing my opinions on you. Okay. Also in a small group, what feels non-negotiable to you? So number one is protecting educational quality and student learning, student opportunities and well-rounded experiences, fiscal responsibility, school vocation and trust, transparency, and fair change management. Okay. And then the last one we did with both
groups was what is on your mind as you leave tonight? So this was it kind of an open-ended question that folks could write down and then they could they could circle how they're feeling at the end of the session learning all the things and talking to their peers about the potential of a consolidation. So in meeting one you know you can see there the number that 13 people felt hopeful when they left three felt neutral zero concern. So in meeting one there was strong optimism, desire for transparency, hopeful but anxious about the outcome and about need for collaboration and concerns about implementation staff morale and balanced priorities. Meaning two kind of different hopeful eight neutral 8 concern 13. So that group of people needed more detail concrete information before the vote. student centered concerns and
educational qualities, uncertainty about school locations, staff retention, morale, and just generally mixed mixed emotions um in apprehension. Okay, so that's that's the end of the community listening feedback and like I said, you've got all the raw data in front of you. the syn synthesized answer or the the themes are presented to you in that packet too. But where what we as a core team are going to do with that is we're bringing these same results to the task force which starts on the second so they can kind of feel here what the community is feeling here what the staff is feeling. It's just like another data point for the task force to use. >> Lots of information. Um okay. So so the next thing that we did was um on January 7th and 8th we
were staff we were able to uh receive responses um on the survey from about 21 staff members in both districts. Um and then about on those two days we ended up about 44 interviews. Um, you know, again, we're doing a lot of the same things in the community meetings as well as the staff, I think. Um, but we want to make sure we're making making sure that it's a top priority. We're listening to all these folks in terms of the community and staff. So, that's kind of what we're spending a lot of time on. Um in the loyal or Greenwood um again some of the the key components were wants to be driven by the for the benefit of the kids and that's kind of one of the common themes we heard from a lot
of the staff in Greenwood. um wants to be very thoughtful and uh pragmatic trying to take advantage of as many opportunities for quality learning as possible and again we've heard that from the community too. Um they got confidence I think in the process um and again feel confident that a lot of good things can happen here given the fact that we're able to do a good job of listening and conducting good solid data creating good solid data. Um I mean again it's no state empowering kids teachers to be able to create better quality education. Some concerns there um were how do you get there? the logistics of some of the things, the transportation um and staff integration is is a concern and again seen some of the positive state as the process. Okay, the loyal
group. Um, again, they're very concerned about the identity of the community. And again, it's just it makes sense. Everybody's used to doing what they're doing now in terms of educating the kids, working in their communities. So, it's a big change for some folks. So there's some concern there on how that's going to happen and what uh some of the uh components that will end up being. Um little anxiety about job experience and the transparency aspects of this process. Again, we try to reassure them that this is as open of a process as we can find and um we want to get input from them and be able to take that input and create solutions. Um let's see. There was a little again a little skepticism in the process. Sometimes some of the folks said it
feel but you know again maybe just because they're not used to conversation. Um even though conversations been going on for some time. Um they want they like their small class sizes which is a thing for sure. Um so that's something that they stressed and um some of them were worried a little bit about some of the cultural loss and identity within this company. That's kind of it. Some of the common themes was again it needs to be student driven. the benefits of this needs to be crystal clear um and driven by that. Uh the people culture and some of the trust challenges that that um folks have I think were expressed and heard clearly. Um and we need to make sure as we move forward into this uh the next steps process and the process
we make sure we address those things and then again staff some of the staff we're concerned about the students benefits of the students benefits to the students uh protective core strengths transparency again and uh the attention to detail aspects Okay. So, like I said in your packet, you have all the raw data and um to protect identities, it's very much randomized. All the names are taken off. We did everything because we promised the staff that this would be an anonymous feedback session and it truly is. But if it just lives in our head, it doesn't do any good. So, it's all in front of you. It's randomized. It's not by school. It's not by order of appearance. It's nothing. You can't find it. So, but you do have all the data like and it's raw.
It's like my notes. It's our colleague Tim's notes and then there was some online submissions too. So, all that stuff you have at your fingertips. You have all the data. This is ours us analyzing coming up. We're talking points for tonight, but you guys could do your own your own work on it too. So, I just want to bring this up again before we come back in a month that we are still following the process of engagement. So you guys as the joint boards, you know, we're going to come back every month and talk about what we did and what we collected and what we did in the month behind us. So we just did community, we just did t staff task force starts on the 2nd of February and that will go on for
six sessions, but meanwhile HSR has been on site doing the facilities assessment of all the buildings. So all of that background work is also happening all the time. We're here a lot, but don't get sick of us yet. We're not done. So that you know this this engagement process is just what we brought up last time. We probably bring it up every meeting just so it's very clear of this circle of information here. Um the next steps from this group is starting on February 2nd is the first joint task force meeting that will be at Greenwood. Um the agenda is up there and it's you know it'll be a tour of the it's going to be a two-hour session and the 24 volunteers are already selected and then four board members of course are part
of that too but you know we're to tour the Greenwood buildings both of them and then go through that list of kind of background why are we here what's the enrollment trends like there's so many data points that we want to get to the task force so we're breaking it up into six different sessions so those on the agenda list is what we're talking to that task task force that day on the first meeting. Then we're back here well in front of you all on February 11th. So we'll talk about what happened in the month behind us. And then um then the next must be Monday, February 16th, the joint task force will meet again. And we're flip-flopping. Just like you guys flip-flop your board meetings, the task force will also flip-flop locations going forward,
too. That's all I got. All right. Any questions about this data model? I know there were has been some questions when we were at the uh listening sessions about Where does all this information go? This will be out. The board has it right now. This will be out on our each district's web page eventually. All right. We're working on getting that lined up right now. So, um, transparency will be there. All right. So, that is what we are establishing and and that's what we talked about last week. So, uh, the information will be out. So, Anyone else have any anyone have any questions? >> Okay. >> Greatly appreciate it. Thank you guys very much for coming. >> Take resolution to consider consolidation. This has been on we've talked about this before. Um we kind of
had a pause on it in talking to uh WSB attorney Bob Butler has said we need to have it done by uh before we put our question in for the November uh election. So I would recommend Maya that we do that. So then it is it's a it's just a resolution to consider. It's a hoop that we need to jump through uh and do and then we can move forward and get the question done and we work on informing the community until uh election in November. So any questions, any concerns, thoughts from the board members? Sound good? Thank you. We'll plan for May and have that approved. Consolidation of Oracle organization. So, um we do have a a the board has a map of both districts um colorcoded so that you can see which is
loyal and which is Greenwood. Um what we're looking at uh discussion in the last couple meetings has been uh board organization and what we mean by that uh if if it passes in November uh we need to have a board areas set so that we can do a election to elect new board members. So that would be what size board do we need? Uh and locations. So uh with that we have a a couple ideas um and going off of our off of our bat. Um do you have anything to add in the studio? Only that we would make this this will be part of the consolidation plan that voters this will be part of the plan. So voters know in November going going into vote that this would be the plan for the new
consolidated districts school board. Uh I know we have talked about the seven person board leading that direction. Um it was five seven or nine. So I know we have talked some seven person still working on regions and things like that. So, any questions on that aspect? >> Last time we met, we talked just briefly about this and that's where we said we bring the map back. Um, and Derek was nice enough to put this together uh for us. You'll see everyone has a copy of the map. Uh, you'll see that they're the two current districts as they lie are colorcoded um different shapes and brown. Uh there's really only been two different ideas thrown my way. I think one of them was from from Derek um was a a version of that. But if there
was a seven person board uh using some of the the north and south roads that span both districts as as barriers or as uh area zones. Um so you know essentially The thought would be three three people from the current loyal school district of loyal zone, three from the current school district of Greenwood zone and then one at large from the entire new consolidated district area. Um how you break that up is I guess is do you leave it general like you know Owen Avenue is kind of the is pretty much the barrier north and south that separates our two districts. Now, um, do you just leave it general, so there's three east and three west of Owen Avenue and then one at large and the whole thing or do you break it down into
sections so that there's I think highway K starting from east going east to west east of Highway K would have one between Highway K and Owen Avenue would have one. The city of Loyal would have one. Um, We would then going west west west west west west west west west west west west west west west west west of Owen Avenue to either 73 or G or O 73 or O would have one and then west of O would have one and then the city of Greenwood would have have one and then that's that's six and then one at large would make seven so it would really depend depend on how if you if you choose a seven person board, it really would depend on how much you want to break that down or allow leave
up to voters to pick the candidates from however big. Just want to comment that um I'm not sure how like obviously we haven't decided how we're going to do it yet, but we have to also take into consideration like how many people live in those areas that want to run because the last example that you just gave were very specific. Um and I just I don't know who lives in some of those areas, but you know, are they wanting to be on the joint school boardish? >> So I'm just >> I don't think they want in. >> Yeah. I just we have to be mindful of that when we move forward is are there people in those areas that really want to do this? Um and if there are then great longevity as well for
long years and years and years to come. Um and if not then maybe keeping it a little more general. My thought is rather bring them north to south, bring them east to west because then when people vote, they'll be voting for loyal or the people. You could do one in each city and then three north and three south of the line. Yeah, everybody votes for everybody anyway. Because by state statute also Joe have to be somewhat according to residence needs to be broke up right now >> according to the home of residence in an area. >> I think that's just a concern to make sure that you have people in that area. Um I've heard of some districts going all that large um because of that reason. So and then I would reiterate that we
just I would make sure that our regions are large enough that we have people in them to run. So just jumping off that that stage, is there a way we can know how many households, how many people are in different areas once we have them? Um I know when we get to our western edge, it gets far the county forest area. I don't know if you >> I tend to agree with Crystal where I think having it more general like one line east and west and not at large position maybe wouldn't make the most sense to be able to have enough people to run but still represent and the both districts. We can put together a map if you want that shows like different two or three different scenarios like an east west a north
south quadrants. Um, I think the we can look at where the populations are, but those are changing every time the farm is bought or or house the town. Um, those are changing all the time. That's kind of part of the issue we're trying to overcome. Um, so I mean my my personal advice should be to keep it as available for people that want to run for this board as you can because I I think even in the situations we are now, we have, you know, we have open seats and we don't have lines at our doors, people that want to run. So like the more flexibility you can offer safer. We can put if you want we can put a couple options together. So I just got one more question. Um, and I think I
asked you this, but the overall open seat, and this is something we dealt with in Greenwood, is um the overall seats, and large seat falls on the same election cycle as one of the specific seats that strictly from the area. I know we had talked in the past when we looked at looking at changing that so that open seats that large seat would be an election by itself. So you could run for the open that large seat and then if you didn't get that you could actually run the next year whenever the seat opened up for your where you lived. But can you explain how that election will actually determine the cycle? So, my understanding of it right now, and I need to read some more, but my understanding is, you know, there's still one,
everybody's in a three-year term when when the new election happens in a three-year term, but you have to somebody will start in a one-year term, somebody will start in a 2-year term, somebody will start in a three-year term, and that's determined by total votes. So, the the top vote getters will be your three-year terms. to start and then two-year term and then one year term is your lowest overall vocator. That's the way I understand the statute right now. So, I don't know that we have the ability to change that. The only the only I I believe after you're governing in a new board, if there's a change just like Greenwood's doing this year, if if the board wants to change how their board is structured, it has to go through an annual meeting process to
change that structure. But I think initially, I mean, that's something we need to clarify. I think initially it's based on number of votes received, >> but with a seven person board, it would still be 3, three, and two instead of two, two, and one. So either way, they would still have one like, you know what I'm saying? You're not going to have one person up for election at a time. They'll always have at least two. If you're doing that large all by itself, you're going to get three to three other years, which would be a big change in the world for more years. And then the other way by doing your areas and then the third year from what I understand the outlook. >> Yeah. stay on the same as somebody else. Like there has
to be Yeah, there has to be it's three years so there has to be um people on you know if you're top I think the board would have to define it though. Your top three vote getters would be your threeyear term. Your second your your number four and five vote getters would be your start the two-year term. And your number six and seven vote getters would be your one-year term. No matter what the what the position is or what what the zone is. >> It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter how you divide that. It's all based on vote get votes received and that's that starts the process. So it doesn't matter if you're in zone one and zone 4. If those are your lowest vote getters, zone one and zone 4, you're on for one
year and you have to run again. So if you're if you're at large is your lowest or if you have a defined at large position and that's the lowest vote getter, they have a one-year term so they run again that the atlarge will be open again. So I don't think that matters because I I do believe it's based on what you see. >> But if you do it that way, if you divide it into two plus the atlarge, what happens if you're three close those gators are in one area? I'm thinking you're going to you're going to want to do it that way continuously because everybody's in a threeear academic, >> right? If you choose to do at large, that's the choice that the board has made. Like if you choose to do at large
positions, they're at large positions. And and then it's up to however many at large you choose. If you choose one at large or seven at large, if you choose them to be at large, they're at large, which means everybody in both district the new district votes for all positions. So it, you know, somebody if they're all at large, then somebody that lives on at 9262 chickity road could run against somebody on the far east side, right? It's if they're at large there. It's how you define at large. So if they're at large, they're at large. If they're if they're west of Owen Avenue, that's not at large. So that's that position. That's defined. That's a defined area. at the only the only thing at large would be the entire district. >> I meant if we
went like split at Owen Avenue and when the votes come in the first time on the west side of Owen Avenue they were your two vote getters and one on the other side would be second. So you're going to have more votes in that coming down the road that will be unequal in represented areas to keep them equal in represented areas. No, >> the new people still have to come as they're replacing people in the west. The new people have to also be west. >> I understand what they need to be, but what I'm saying is >> apples are apples. They replace >> they replace but you would be replacing one area more than another area if you do this that way >> earlier not more earlier. >> Yeah. >> All right. So we will
continue working on that uh task force update. Uh just want to announce that the task force has been announced. It was uh out last week at our listening sessions. Uh their first meeting is February 2nd. Uh there are 24 community members, 12 or 10 from Loyal, 10 from Greenwood, two board members from each also. Uh and those will be on our websites also. So okay. Uh one last thing before we move on to ad hoc committees. Uh Mr. Mr. Green and I have met with uh Elise M from Baird uh and we have signed a contract for a financial study which will be uh we didn't have any setup dates but it'll be this spring that we get together and she will bring her financial studies out of a joint consolidated district um with her
areas of savings and and things like that. So with all updated numbers from where we're at right now. So anything to add >> just that that'll be shared with the task force in this process. I believe the early March meeting with the task force police will be here to share um her study information so that they can also use that as they are working together to build a consolidation plan to bring it forward to the board. Okay. All right. With that, uh, we have our ad ad hoc committee reports. So, we have our brand new committee meeting. >> Yeah. So, we met on Sunday night as a committee. Um, I thought we had a really good meeting. We got a lot accomplished. Um we finalized our motto, mission and vision statements that will be included
in the finalized plan. Um just kind of a highle overview of how we did that. We tried to take um the motto, mission, values, and vision from the two different districts and kind of blend them together. Um, so I'm not going to read through the whole vision statement because it's kind of long, but the mission statement that we came up with is to ensure that every student learns, grows, and thrives academically, social socially and emotionally every day. And then the proposed motto is the past inspires us, the future awaits us. And then uh the vision statement is kind of a a overview I would say of you know we want to work together as a community. We want to respect and um be inclusive have a lot of pride and passion and things along those
lines. So again this will all be part of the plan that we'll bring in May uh as a committee. Um we then narrowed the names of the school down to three names to choose from. Um those three are Loyal Greenwood, Clark Central School District, and Heritage Central School District, Hartland Central Oh, Hartland, sorry. Hartland Central School District. I can't read my own notes here. Hartland Central School District. Yes. Um, and then so kind of how we went through and narrowed down the list, we had over 300 people submit ideas. A lot of them were duplicates. Um, so when it really came down to it, we probably had 15 school names of versions of school names. We had about 75 different mascots pick through. Um, we narrowed the mascot list down to four. Um, we decided
as a group that because this is going to be a new district, we wanted to create a new identity. Therefore, we did not think that the Greyhounds, the Indians, or the Wolves should be an option for that. So, um, we also decided we didn't want to be a duplicate of any of our neighboring districts or districts that we play against in sports. So, the options we came up with are the Phoenix, the Lightning, the Patriots, or the Bucks. So, those are the four that we will be choosing from, and it's going to go out to the community to vote. Um, we're trying to figure out how that's going to work. Um, and then we'll I'll let Joe and Chris kind of talk about that. But the colors we decided as a committee not to choose
until we have the mascot chosen because we don't want the colors to not make sense with the mascot that we choose. And the committee is going to make that decision rather than putting it out to vote just because of time. And I think that the group of 16 of us can make a logical choice based on what the the uh mascot is. So Crystal, you have anything to add? Um I just wanted to um first of all thank the branding committee for their work. There's a couple of you here tonight, but um you know it the meeting went really swell and I thought it went smooth and we had a lot of really great ideas and it felt um productive. So, um the other thing I just wanted to mention was um thank you to
everybody who took time to submit. Um every single one was read. So, just know that whether it came in um paper, there was only a few paper submissions. Um most of them came in through the the QR code or the link um that was sent um on various social media platforms. Um but every single submission was looked at, reviewed, considered. Um the the committee was given a list of every single um submission and also included all of the comments that people made. So any ideas um even questions, concerns that may or may not have, you know, related to the branding committee, but they were all reviewed. And I just want to thank people for giving us that information because that's truly what we wanted. We wanted to capture and Eliza and I had said from
day one, we might get 200 submissions, we might get 300 submissions to sort through, but that's what we wanted. We wanted to have a variety um and we got it. And I think um we have lots of ideas from students because they could people could um select if they were student, community member, parents, alumni. Um but staff. Yes. So we had a wide variety, but um just wanted to say thank you to everybody who submitted ideas. >> Just so you two know, Mr. They're not working on the newsletter dates and I think uh it sounds like Loyal is able to move theirs back a week. So I think it'll be February 11th and Greens up to February 25th. So we'll be like a two week gap. We couldn't go any closer because the TRD already
has specific things being published in between those two, but that'll be the entire window to use our news. One other thing I forgot to mention, we are going to try to kind of advertise what the the meaning behind each mascot is and what it represents and why we thought or why our committee thought it was those ideas were good ideas. Um, so we will be putting up flyers, posting on social media, things like that so that the community knows why or what the what the mascots represent. Um, and then can make their decision from there. And the QR code when we send it out, it will be one vote per email address. So, please be mindful like we really want we don't want somebody to vote 100 times. We would really like it. Your voice
matters, but your voice doesn't matter any more than the next person's. So, everybody gets a vote. Um, but please keep it to just one vote. >> Yeah. And I was just going to say, um, so just to kind of piggyback off of what Eliza said, currently working on some flyers. So, you're going to see them hopefully um we're going to have them up in the schools and then some of our um committee members talked about putting them at Quicktrip and you know the businesses so that way community members um whoever we can reach sees the information knows what the what the meetings are. Another thing we wanted to mention um is that parents of young kiddos, we want your kids to vote because this is going to affect them. Like they're going to be wearing
these jerseys, but we also want them to understand what they're voting for. So, one thing that we talked about was that um we kind of joked like every second grade boy is going to pick the Bucks because they're big deer horns and that'll be really cool. But like we just want to make sure that the kids are understanding what they're picking and then why it's so important. So, if you have little kids and and they're going to vote, have that conversation with them. Talk to them about um why their pick matters and what that's going to mean moving forward. Um so, on the flyers, we're also going to include um like voting begins on whatever date. So, you're going to see the flyers before you get a chance to vote, and that's just PR. That's
just getting the word out there. And then, um it'll have like a specific date of when voting opens and when voting closes. Um, and then again, you'll see the QR codes in the TRG. Um, and then papers sent home with the elementary students to vote that way. Anything else, Eliza? >> Okay. Thank you very much, Isa. And the brand. Yeah. Well done. All right. Uh last thing the the community partner and business relations committee uh just I'm going to report back that I sat down with another business uh owner and they're definitely and just kind of explain what we're looking at going with our with the future of our tech uh going with uh you know just advancing it to where it's at. And I think we're definitely all for it and really ready to
support us. So, we're just kind of cutting them off here as we go, talking to business owners and just making sure we have their support of moving forward with with um advancing our tech. So >> okay with that public forum anybody any questions report what happened Is that date night? February 11th, there's an meeting in Greenwood Captorium. close. >> I think we um we may have to start the regular meeting at 6:30. Um we're we don't know for sure. We're trying to potentially we will be joined in close session by bear um to talk about some financing and and stuff like that that would be appropriate for close session. but she is scheduled with another district at 6:00. So, if we did a regular meeting first and then she joined us or or if she
thinks she'll be done, she she doesn't know quite yet. If she thinks she'll be done by like 7. Um, so we're I think we'll have a 6:30 start, but I'm not we're not sure if it's going to be close session first or regular session first. Is that okay? Is that right? >> Yes. Well, why don't I know because we need two weeks ahead. Would you know by then? >> I don't need we don't need two weeks, but I would think that we know a week ahead. But I'm hopeful at the end I'm hopeful at the core the next core meeting which is January 28th. Um she's going to be meeting with my and HSR and our core team to talk through her her process and how that works with my HSR process. So I I'm
hopeful shortly after that or that we'll we'll know for sure how it will work. But we will we we won't do anything that we don't can't adequately post. So we'll make sure that we can post it. But I will say the other option would be to have another meeting which we we all have plenty of meetings. So we're trying to avoid that. But if you can't do it that night, then it's it's in our best interest to meet with her to hear, you know, where she's at with the process. Are >> there any joint sports that need to be talked about to meet any timelines for the following year? Are we coming up by any deadlines? The deadlines would still be the >> the winter winter sports, but I don't >> I don't think so.
Um, one thing to talk about though will be golf. >> Golf at some point I think. And and >> the the drop dead date for golf is May, correct? May 1st, >> which I don't think we need to wait until May 1st to have that conversation. I think that we're probably due to coaching shortages and I mean I I think that we're are we ready to do that soon like just get that done? Um Elijah is asking about track. Is that something we want to enter in conversation about? Probably not at this time. >> Not yet. >> Golf. Yes. >> So golf for next month, but track for March then. >> When is May versus track two? May 1st is all spring sports. >> 27 27. >> Well, we're Yeah, if we're if we're going
to push that off another year, then we will know by November 5th or whatever. I think golf next one ready for golf. >> Yes. >> What other topics? Obviously, we have consolidation plan reports. >> We'll leave it on there just in case there's there process. >> Branding committee said they probably won't have anything, but we'll leave it on just just in case something update. Mrs. Cole for Mr. Warren, do you have any updates on >> we'll start scheduling >> March >> early February. >> So the March meeting >> end of February. So everything we have will keep keep the agenda similar to what we have now but add golf on as a goal. Other habits 6:00 6:30 for the 11th. We don't know if it'll be open or closed. We'll look a public note. Um,
anything else? Otherwise, I'll entertain a motion to adjourn. this first. >> Thank you everyone for coming. I know she >> just like I wasn't like
