Uh wondering what Greenwood's board members make. Uh and they make 1750 annually. Just for information makes a motion to leave the numbers the same. >> Second by Crystal. All those in favor? Opposed? Motion carries. Financial report. [Music] Good evening. Thank you very much for coming to our annual the 2025 annual meeting. Uh we'll go through our general funds, our our funds. Uh and we'll talk a little bit uh on our tax revenue limit. And we kind of uh I kind of broke that down to make it a little more easier for you to see what is all entailed in that and

what is pertinent with us here at Loyal. So, first of all, we're going to talk a little bit about our general fund. Um our general fund is where the majority of our revenue and expenditures are. Um the 20 24 25 audit came back where we were 25,525 in the red. All right. Uh so you can see our beginning balance uh for for our budget for the 202526 school year. um revenues and other financing sources. We'll just kind of go through here and give you what these all mean. Um there's nothing for transfers, local sources, um our loyal property taxes, um mobile home taxes, uh sports admissions. Uh so we do not um have a fee for students. Trying to think a good word for it. Consumer consumer product fee. We do not have that this

school year. Um and some drivers that behind the bill that is this is where your local source 200 local sources are coming from. So if you see a decrease in that there is you know we had consumer product fee um in the past that ranged What were you saying Julie? 10,000 about. So you do not see that there anymore. Uh source 300 and 400 interd district payments. Uh we're talking about open enrollment in um for many years we've been chasing open enrollment comparing in and out. Uh and a couple years ago we were plus one. Uh and it's growing the other way again. We are sitting at 64 open enrolled in uh and we'll talk about open enroll shortly. um shared staff. Uh so we share um it we we share um our our tech

person, tech director, our OT therapist, we share uh we share a librarian um with other districts. We share a counselor with another district. So, we do get into sharing staff members to try to make it as efficient as possible for both districts involved. Um, and they're not they're they're with Greenwood, Owen, and Grant are the districts that we share these staff members with. Uh intermediate sources source 500 is our Carl Perkins which is our technical education CTE um school to work and our Medicare uh state sources source 600 uh SAGE library aid transportation aid uh sparity aid per pupil aid equalization aid uh and CTE grant. You will find all in our in our state aid there. State sources uh federal surf sources three title one two and four you can see a major decrease

with that um ESER money kind of what has gone away. So that's where you see that uh gigantic drop. All other sources, equipment sales, uh sources 800,900 uh miscellaneous income. Uh you can see where we're at with that. Uh total revenues 9,5685,762. We'll go to expenditures, instruction, uh, elementary, middle school, high school, uh, instructional, um, coaching. So there's where your a lot of our teaching staff that's where you see that uh support services um building and site maintenance uh administration board busing transportation bill is all in that support services uh nonprofit program transactions. This time we have our open enrollment out and we are sitting at 85 currently at open enroll out of our district. So that has grown compared to where we were a couple years ago. So that is something that we as

administration working on trying to bring that number back. Um also on here you see insurance uh co-op sports special ed transfer. Uh we'll talk a little bit more about that voucher program. We'll talk a little bit more about that um soon also. All right. And you can see the total expenditures and other finances um at 9,85,528. So you do we are proposing a negative 250,000 right now. Um we will work on getting that down to zero throughout the year. So, and we have done we've done that in the last couple years where it might have been something like that in the beginning and we worked on just pinching painting our doubles. So um and I'll tell you a reason why some of this is is you see our our expenditures growing uh special projects uh

fund our fund 27 which is which is our special ed um fund. All right. Uh so you can see we get an entity. So every year when we are done at the year our special ed fund has to zero out as you see um beginning and ending fund. All right. Um so with that every year we need to transfer money from fund 10 general fund to cover our costs on special debt. Okay. This last year for the 2020 uh 2024 25 school year our transfer was 596,000 $520. All right. So the year before that I believe was $350 to $400,000. So it is it is growing. Um and then we talk about we're that 250. Um we have a number of students that have whether they have moved into our district or open enroll into

our district. Um many of them have IEPs, individual educational plans that cause for an aid sometime full-time and those our staff has grown in our special ed program um quite a bit this year. So you will see we're looking at a projection of possibly 700 to 750 transfer fund out of that to that fund out of general fund. So that is where where we stand uh with that long-term capital investment fund 146 uh any capital projects uh with that a lot of that or some of that was used to finish up the concession stand and to work with the concession stand on that which the concession stand is finished completed and I believe is working wonderfully. Uh I know they use it in a couple football games and I know youth sports, youth football used

it a couple times and uh I know what else JB football, middle school football. All right. So, um I'd like to thank everyone that helped donate to that. It was a great great venture. Okay. Uh 150 food service. Uh so we had a freezer go out at the end of last year. Um so we had to replace that walk-in freezer was just under $50,000. [Music] Uh so you can see it in the red handing balance at 47,000. Um, we also had some stainless steel projects there. That was 13,000 to help protect the walls by the washroom and outside where the the students uh dump their garbage and things like that to keep it cleaner. So, they had something else that just wasn't working. So, we put stainless there. Uh what what we are waiting on

on is a back pay of on claimed lunches in the last two years which would be $30,000 and that would help us out immensely for that. So if nothing else we would have to zero that out also. Okay. Uh fun 80 our community service fund. Um, summer wreck, uh, our new child care, uh, before and after school program is all out of here. Golf, the golf course is out of here also. Um, so we do, uh, we did put a number of money in there. We are looking at putting at $100,000 in there to make sure we cover any child care costs that are above. Right now they pay for it, but it's not going to be out because we need a few more kids or more kids. So, we put enough in there to

cover that. um our greens on our golf course are getting um new sand put on there and and are they I would say were overgrown and are almost died and we are working on trying to get those back into shape. Um so we are working on that. Uh we did some softball field maintenance, the softball diamond with um a partnership with the city. So some of that money works with that because the softball field gives a city park. Uh it is used for summer rack. It is used for community um purposes also. Okay. Okay. So, we go with all funds. You can see where expenditures where we are at. Um, it like I said before, the growth of our special ed program. Um, I I think there's a reason for this. I think we have

a great special ed program and I think that may attract some some people around uh as open enrollments. So, uh as we added to that staff that has cost us some money because of the pair of professionals that are needed. Uh and we talked a little bit about where that was and where that might be for that transfer fund. Um and then you can see at the bottom proposed property tax levby of um 2 or 2,451,833. Uh remember that's 100 100,000 from community or fund 80 is added on to that already. So, um you can see when where it is compared to what was audited last year. Um and and a big thing is our property values have gone up in uh throughout our district. So that affects a number of our district our property

taxes. So now what we'll do is we will go onto our revenue limit worksheet. Now you used to see something like possibly this when we put this up here already. So what I did was I broke it down and graphed the main ingredients out of this. Um, so our revenue is based out of enrollment, our property value, uh, and our per pupil state. So we'll kind of talk about that basically in the order that I just said. So our our membership count is a three-year rolling average. So if you hit a 20 student decline in one year, it doesn't it's not all felt in that one year. All right? So you can see where our our enrollment membership is at. 2023 485 2024 46 2025 483. Um so I'm just going to back up here

a little bit. Okay. So go off of September is the count that I'm looking at. 474 471 469. All right. As we look at it, obviously we can see we are slowly declining. Okay. Now, off of that, you can see summer FTP uh 23 you have 11, 2024, you have 15, and 2025 is 14. All righty. So, what that is is that's our summer school date. Okay. Um, you know, we go we have 4 days of summer school in August and then we have everything from our middle of our elementary uh summer school swimming lessons. Basically, anything we do in the summer, we try to count as a summer school um and work towards our FTE. So with 14 FTEES out of that, um that is approximately $165,000 that we earn through summer school. All

righty. Um and that's that's that's a large amount and there's a good fair amount of it through those first four days because you have basically elementary, I do believe we had one maybe two students gone for those four days, three days in elementary. Middle school I think there was four or five. high school was a little different. We had maybe 15 or 20. Um but the majority were here. Uh and and that is just something that we are looking to continue because we do get a very good kickback for summer school on that. And what it is is basically a a jump start. We we review for those four days in middle school and high school and we come back uh first part of September and they are ready to go. So the orientation they

get all the other stuff ready to go. Teachers on the first day were already working on reviewing from from uh last year and getting kids ready. So um it's an important part and then so that's where you get your total FTDs and you can see we're down three. So your three-ear rolling average is 485. Um declining enrollment is three. We have uh aid in per student of $11,744.50. That's what we get per student. Okay. Um with that with declining enrollment, we get an exemption uh for three students that is $35,000. A little over 3500 or $35,000. So any questions on that aspect of it? That's the enrollment. That's one part. All right. Uh, our fall 2025 property values went up to 397,55 550,412 uh increase of 19.34%. Um, that is just that's land value just

increasing. So um the 25 we already talked about this 2526 max aid per student is 11,744 50. Um our membership is 485. So our total per pupil paid is 5,696,83. You add our referendum for $1.4 $4 million. Um uh and your declining enrollment exemption 35,000. Uh we do have one area where we had membership um on open enrollment. Uh we had an unaccounted kid or student I should say. Uh so we had $7,000 $60. Uh and we have a private school voucher deduction. All righty. at $156,000 365. All right. So, what that is that school voucher is students that live in our district and say go to Columbus Catholic. Um they are part of the voucher program that is and I think there's I can't just say Columbus. I just know we have some kids

that go to students that go to Columbus. Um that's where that comes from. All right. So we paid for them to go to the private school. So that's where we at last year it was $125,000. So okay. So that had that has an outtake. So there's your land. Um so our 2025 total revenue limit is 7,294,742. [Music] Our aid is 4 million taking off of everything we got. 942,99. Um that is where we've been in the last 10 years. Approximately 68% state aid. All right. We've been from 64 up to 72 73 in the last odd number of years. So we have we have stayed in that in that um ballpark. asking for a tax levy of 2,351,833. Uh you add the 100,000 for fund 80. Um our total tax levy for the 202526 school

year is 2,451,833. Uh with that would make our mill rate at a 6.17 mills. All right. Membership. So you can see where our membership has has dropped in the last 6 years. um 52 52 or so students right now. We have our probably two of our they are two of our biggest classes are our seniors and our juniors. Um 44 and 43 I believe they are. All right. And in the rest of the district we have one class that is at 40. Everyone else is below that. like you're talking 35, you get down under fifth grade and you're talking high 20s, maybe low 30s. Um, so if things don't change, we have the same number of kids. So we have those 40 some going out and right now we have like 4K is at 25,

kindergarten is at 24 or vice versa, but they're in the mid20s. If that's the case, uh 2027 28 approximately, our membership will be down to $440. All righty. Um and that would be a loss of about $460,000 of revenue. So just stating that this is where our enrollment is going. So um we did what what are we trying to do to combat that? Uh you know we we talked about getting kids into our building earlier. Uh we work on that in 3K program. We're working on after school before school program um which is going to cost us money up front uh because it's not it won't um pay for itself. Uh but our whole idea is get our kids get those kids in our building. Um, so every year 4K through we get we reap

the benefits because they're in our building. Um, and that's just in talking with supers over the last five or 6 years that is if you can get kids in your building earlier the better, right? Because they have a tendency to stay because of of convenience and and they're used to it. So that is one thing and and then another case is that we have a need for child care in our our community. So, we had our strategic plan that was a um something that we heard that we need to try to develop some type of a child care. So, this is where we're starting and then it all depends on how much room we have. Um and we'll see once from there where we go from here. Uh next one valuation tax levy comparison tax

levy breakdown from the city and townships that are in our district. See once where we're at city and and the other townships here in our school district. than just valuation tax levy comparison in the last few years. So with that, do we have any questions? Okay, just remind you then email me, call me, visit. If you ever have any questions, come and visit Paul. All righty. Thank you very much. All right. We will move for the adoption of the tax levy. That will be a valid vote. Motion made to adopt. Should have a second by Dan. Motion made by Bob, second by Dan. All those in favor? >> That's the [Music] Could you just go around, please? Make sure you hold everybody. Please, Okay, while they are tallying up the results, we'll go ahead and

set the next meeting date. I'm going to propose Monday, October 19th, 2026 at 7:00. I think that's a good idea. I'll make a motion. Motion and a second on that. All those in favor? Motion carries. The meeting date has been set. The tax levby vote was 19 yes and zero no. Motion carries. Uh any public comment hearing none seeing none I will move I will look for a motion to adjurnn. Motion second by Kirk. All those in favor? Motion passes. Meeting adjourned. Thank you all for coming tonight. We'll take a couple minute break and we'll go head right into our regular board meetings, monthly board meeting that right here. Is that [Music] >> Yeah. Oh, sure. So the post >> Yeah, I know there's [Music] Yeah, that's right. [Music] Did you >> play? [Music] Yeah.

See you. Thank you, Bob. >> Thanks, Bob. [Music] minutes. >> I didn't want to get petty about it. So, I didn't want to just have to make your number. That's what he does. >> I made an old sonic, [Music] huh? We saw a couple years later. >> I'll be right back. >> I like drip. >> She's here. We did it. >> We were just looking at the number of joint board meetings. Should they get paid out regular board price or extra priceund you get some Especially if I had to drive there, >> right? [Music] Oh, thanks, dude. It was actually longer than last year. >> I read cuz I read it. [Music] Otherwise, otherwise we were looking at [Music] >> pretty half hour. All right, I'm going to go ahead and call the regular schedule

board meeting to order. >> Good evening. I'm going to call the regular monthly school board meeting to order. Roll call, please. >> Here. here. >> Is there any additions or corrections to the agenda? If not, I'd look for a motion to approve the agenda. Yes, sir. >> Crystal makes a motion. >> Second. Second by Kirk. All those in favor? >> Motion carries. Please stand the pledge of allegiance [Music] to the flag United States of America to the republic for it stands one nation under God indivisibley and justice for all. Uh any public comment? >> I have one. Uh Tim Froy talked to me. Uh was just wondering if there is any action or any talking uh with Granton um future uh growth with them or or meetings with them or anything like that. So um

all I'd say is there has been some talk uh of at least working together in some different avenues. So um but he wanted to ask that and um so that's where we're standing right now with it. Any other public comment? Seeing none, we'll move to consent agenda items. As similar to months prior, I would look to approve the minutes of the September board meeting, the minutes of the October 7th building and grounds committee meeting, and the minutes of the finance committee meeting held on October 13th, all in one motion. [Music] Eric, there are no minutes to really ground. Okay. So, we will table building and grounds and then I would look for a motion to approve the minutes of the September board meeting and the finance committee meeting. I'll make that motion. Kurt makes a

motion. Second by ma'am. All those in favor. >> Motion carries. Financial reports. All these are balance as of September 30th 2025. In the general fund the balance is 1,531,3445 [Music] and capital projects 37,37038 [Music] and checking is $598,62761. Any questions on the financial reports as presented? Entertain a motion to approve. I'll make that motion. Makes a motion. Second by Nate. All those in favor? >> Opposed? Motion carries. New business 4.1 review and approve the 202526 budget. So our from our finance meeting and then from the annual meeting that we just had um I'm going to propose that we accept approve the budget as is. um with a with right now 200 about a $250,000 shortfall that I believe we can get closer to zeroing out by the end of the year. And to make up

that 250, just give us examples of of things you will look to do to make that short. >> So the project is what we're with the elementary parking lot. Um that might I'm working with uh HSR on maybe making that into a maybe two or threeyear put on our budget you know so maybe take a little bit off of that uh and just and in in some uh spending the the key is going to be is where special ed transfer is going to be um what we can do there. So um it like I said before tightening to the belts where we are not allowing as much stuff going on as you know spending I know they have budgets but if if it's needed then yes but if if we can get away with what

we have now and that those things will go decently. So, >> can you talk a little bit about the $9,000 grant we got from CISA 10 that you put in your update? >> I can. Uh, so CISA 10 has a grant that they put out or applied for uh for child care programs. Uh and we were selected through CISA 10 uh to receive $9,000 to go to wages for our child childcare program 3K program and little pups dogs. So that that will help in that aspect. Anybody up here have any questions on the the budget that was presented. Mr. Lner, I just have a question about the um negative lunch account balance. Did you say in the other meeting that we're like $30,000 in the whole or how I've missed that? >> Right now it's

03647. We do have approximately 30,000 in back uncredited lunch that we are waiting for from the last two years. So not not not so much from families at all. It is just we get so much aid for um you're free to reduce. So there's some back >> okay >> uh payment that needs to be done. >> Okay. I was just curious if it was families or >> No. No. So, I believe and Julie and I worked on this a lot. We're down to a handful that we're talking about. So, >> Okay. Thank you. >> Any other questions regarding the budget? >> If there's none, I would entertain a motion to approve. I'll make a motion to approve the 2526 budget. >> Thanks. Have a motion. Looking for a second. Second. >> Second by Tom. All

those in favor? >> Post. Motion carries. 4.2. Set the 202526 tax levy. I'm going to recommend um as from our annual meeting, our community recommended or approved uh the total 2526 tax of 2,451,833. Matt makes the motion to approve the tax levy. Looking for a second. Second. Second by Kirk. All those in favor. >> Opposed? Motion carries. I believe we're going to scratch 4.3. Yes, we don't have an We had an applicant and it was supposed to be an interview Friday and it didn't happen. So there's nothing present for that which was uh to hire a special ed. There's some other things in the work in that uh Mrs. Triggs and I will be chatting about. >> Okay, let's move to 44 update on the strategic plan. >> All right. Uh this will probably be

my last time of reporting for the strategic plan because the committee met uh in early October uh and we are working on them from here on out. They will report back to the board monthly on what what we're doing as a committee. Uh we kind of just put our ducks in a row uh in early October, October and um talked about how do we want to make we want to make sure that our communication transparency is is thorough throughout staff, students, families and community stakeholders. So we are throwing together or not throwing together we are creating a survey uh for those people. Um and next meeting we'll meet and and look at getting that out to to the public and that'll kind of talk about communication good bad or other do we need to improve

or react with some of this stuff. So trans transparency anything else that you guys can think of. So we're just getting making sure that we are hitting everything in the strategic plan, you know, monthly. So >> all right, 4.5 update and discussion on the joint board meeting with Greenwood that was held on October 15th. >> Uh, a couple things I have. Uh so received another um wanting for an application today. Uh that I believe puts us at 11 or 12. Um we have another tour tomorrow or Wednesday I should say. Sorry. That I do believe will make the fifth tour. Um so applications proposals are due October 31st. uh interview committee will meet in loyal on November 3rd at 7:00 p.m. in the district conference room to go through the proposals. Uh then we will

be setting up interviews for that for that week. Uh we also have a branding committee meeting in Greenwood Caltorium on Monday, November 3rd at 7:00 p.m. I don't know if anyone knows has anything else for that. Uh just just to recap a little bit of what we did in Greenwood last week. We did tour the schools. We did a facilities tour similar to what we did in Loyal a month prior. Um, and we did have a discussion with the Greenwood board about live streaming and archiving of uh, joint board meetings and it will be on the joint board meeting agenda for November which is scheduled for November 12th. Um, in the meantime, if you think of any other agenda topics, uh, get them to us early. keep reminding us and I do apologize. I uh

I forgot about our conversation and getting the live streaming on this agenda and by the time we remembered we would had to have amended the agenda and uh it we felt that we shouldn't do that. So I I'll take the blame for that. Anything else to discuss in the joint board meeting? All right, we'll move forward to 4.6 discuss the fall AGR report. All right, AGR uh for 2025 26 uh AGR stands for the achievement gap reduction program for grades K through three. Uh it's a program designed to reduce achievement gap between lowincome students and students in the same grade. and subject. Statewide participating participating schools must create performance objectives in the areas of reading and math for each grade level. These objectives must be met by implementing one of three strategy strategies or a

combination of these. Uh one onetoone tutoring provided by a licensed teacher. Uh two instructional coaching for teachers provided by a licensed teacher. Three, maintain an 18 to1 or a 30 to2 classroom ratios and providing professional development on small groupoup instruction. All strategies are currently being implemented in the school district of loyal. AGR program requires the schoolboard review of implementation progress through the year. uh the 202526 AGR objectives were obtained through the Ames web plus and fast bridge assessments given at the end of the 2425 school year and are re reviewed at the middle and end of the of the year. So just real quickly uh recapping our kindergarten reading uh for 2526 school year 57% of students were above 80% on the initial sounds benchmark in Ames web plus uh kindergarten math uh same the

0432526 school year uh fall 25 scores 2025 scores indicate 64% students meet the fall benchmark first degree um 2526 school year, 61% of students met early reading benchmark for the spring of 25. Uh first grade math, 100% of the students met uh spring benchmark on early math composite scores. second grade uh 38% met early reading benchmark for the spring of 252 uh 2025. 55% of students met the CBM reading benchmark for the spring of 2025. Second grade math 86% of the students met spring benchmark on early math composite. Uh lastly, third grade, 35% of the students met um spring benchmark for the reading English composite scores uh for the spring of 25 and 50% of the students met spring benchmark on CBM reading benchmark for the spring of 25. Lastly, third grade math, 75% of

the students spent spring benchmark on the math composite scores. So that kind of gives you an idea of where where our kindergarten through third are. Um and they will work on improving those scores throughout the year. I think we will have a midyear and then we will also have a end of the year report. Anything else on it? >> Any questions? We're good. >> 4.7 discuss the possible action on you with the children of Wisconsin mental health services. So we have Mrs. James here, our special ed director, uh who is working with Katie Brandt and May Victoria um on this service. And uh I I think it's a very good deal. And so uh Mrs. Driggs is going to talk a little bit about more defining of what it is. So what they're looking for

is a uh place that was their their um Yeah. So us three and then Mr. Lner as well met last week with Children's Wisconsin. Um it's so they have hired a mental health therapist that would be school-based service for us. So it is free of cost to the district. They would come in, we have to house them or find a place for them 2 days a week. Um and normally we have room in the elementary office. Um but we just have to provide a space for them. This is a long-term therapy that can be provided by a school counselor. So, it's just something for our students. It's another resource we can use um for our families. Um Greenwood has the same um service. They go through Children's Children's Wisconsin as well. Um so, they take

up to 14 spots and then once they're full, they're full, but the referral process looks similar to if they were to be referred to an agency outside of the district. and uh my Miss school counselor would handle those referrals. But there's an LLU in place that just protects the district as well. If there were to be any um risk to self or risk to others, they would collaborate with us as a team. So um although they're an outside agency, they're a school and service that we would collaborate with. So that's I think it's something that's important for our students um for the wellbeing of our students and something that we provide to families that they don't have to get on a waiting list outside of school. >> You guys have any questions? It does not

cost us I don't know if you said that does not cost the district anything and it is very nice because the therapist here working with our students and then can work with our staff on how they can work together to help the student involved. We need to supply an area and I believe we can definitely do that. So that is what you're moving is the area uh office space available for them two days a week. If there's no further questions that for a motion to approve um hearing that we have space in school and it's beneficial to our kids. I would make a motion to approve the space for the mental health service. Kirk makes a motion. Second by Tom. All those in favor? I >> opposed. Motion carries. Other business. Principal's report. Yes. We

started the month of October off with homecoming week. So, that was pretty exciting. So, I would like to thank Mrs. Zark and student council for putting together a fun-filled activity on Friday. Um, the game didn't go as well as we hoped, but the kids had a great time. And then we had the homecoming dancing Saturday night that was highly attended as well. Um we also had during that week the dig pink event that volleyball hosts and we were able to raise money uh along with Kobe that was here as a guest. Um in the elementary we've had two out of the three coaching sessions from our CLA amplified which is our ELA or English um new curriculum that we have. Um, so far we've heard lots of great things that our staff is doing a

great job. We're implementing it the second year. We're right on target where we're supposed to be and our teachers have worked really really hard on making sure that everything is going well. So she was very impressed um as to where we are regarding that. >> Also in the elementary we had our PBIS golden ticket drawing. Uh so our students earn uh these dog tags for being safe, respectful, responsible uh and a learner in our specialists. So congratulations to September's golden ticket winners, uh Wyatt Paul, Lily Maninga, Cash McFarland, Aya Walhouser, Leslie Frederick, and Brenley Coleman'sburgger. And I promise you that was not right. Um, at the middle school and high school end, um, we have quite a few celebrations here. Last Wednesday, I took a group to KBY, uh, for the Cloverbell Student Athlete Leadership

Conference where they were able to hear uh, motivational speaker and author Craig Hillier. Um, it was a great event and the group that we brought had a lot of fun. Uh, very nice to see uh, with other student athletes in the conference as well. Um and again a very cool event um for middle school high school. Um we also had PBIS awards. Um so those awards that we were uh having for both middle school and high school are a loyal proud student and then also students who had best effort and who were most improved. Uh so these students were nominated by staff and then also voted on uh by staff and these are the students who received the award for September. So our middle school student uh that demonstrated loyal proud went to Lily Hoffy.

She's a sixth grader. Um our middle school best effort and most approve improvement award went to Michael Branch who is an eighth grader. Our high school loyal proud student uh was Casey Bower. She is a senior. Our high school best ever, most improved award went to Camden Miller. He's a sophomore. And then our high school student of the month was Allison Dixs. Um she is a freshman. Uh now talking about some of our uh athletics. So last weekend uh on Saturday we had our conference cross country meet in Owen Whiti and just want to say congratulations um not only to our entire cross country team um but the individual runners that earned all conference. So Landon Gentman was second team all conference and Andrew Lamgood was honorable mention all conference. Um our cross country um

student athletes will be competing on Saturday in Durand uh at the WIA sectional event. Also, congratulations to our volleyball team and our allconerence athletes. Addie Wolf was first team all conference. Livia Sandelier was second team all conference and Kenley Aman earned honorable mention all conference. Uh also a very very big deal. Um Addy Wolf was voted the conference player of the year uh for the Cloverbell East. So a huge congratulations uh to Addie as well as her teammates. Uh tomorrow they will be in action for the WIA regional event uh against Thorp and that will be here starting at 7:00. Um, just a reminder that the WIA does set uh admission prices, which is $6 for students and adults and then $1 for students or children that are six and under. Um, for these types

of games, no passes are accepted for entry. Um, and then congratulations to the LG football team for earning their first ever playoff game. Uh, they will be playing in Edgar this Friday at 7:00. Good luck. >> Um, we had a field trip with Miss Mcurley and Mrs. Spitzel. They took 15 students in the high school to UW Stout for their Ed Rising uh, field trip. So, this is where students go to college in W Stout and participated in some academic educational activities, see what it takes to be a teacher and kind of expose, get kids aware of what is out there. Um, and hopefully they become teachers and hopefully come back here to Loyal. So, the field trip was highly attended and the kids had a lot of fun and I hope it hope it

opened their eyes to what the world of education can be and a lot of these kids already are Greyhound mentors. So, they're already working with kids in the elementary and um being a TA for some of the teachers in the elementary as well. Um, just a couple reminders for the next couple of days. We have parent teacher conferences here tomorrow night and Thursday night from 3:30 to 7:30. Um, so we're hoping we get a lot of parents and families in to see their teachers and to talk. Also on Wednesday morning at 8:00, 8:05 actually, we have our academic awards from the 2024 25 trimester 3 at 8 in the morning. So parents received a letter, we're hoping to see you there on Wednesday morning. And there's no school for students on Thursday and Friday as

we have teacher in service and then a day off. So last thing to note, book fair is coming November 3rd to the 7th. Be ready. Any questions on the principal report? >> Okay, we'll move right into the superintendent's report. I would like to congratulate uh the one act play uh as which has advanced from the district to the regionals on November 4th or 5th. Don't know for sure when that is. Um so congratulations to them. Excuse me. Uh also good luck to the cross country volleyball and football programs in their tournament play coming up tomorrow and this week. Uh we got some great news where we have uh Mrs. Jessica Sari will be presenting at the 20 2026 Wisconsin State Education Convention on Financial Literacy. Um she will be her and myself will be there

and we will figure out who else we will go. Um it will be Friday morning. Um, so she will be talking about personal finance, financial literacy, and Wisconsin Act 60. So, congratulations to her and it'll be exciting to represent our district. Um, I believe we are a forefront leader in financial literacy with this program. Uh, can't thank Draper Hill Foundation enough on this and Mr. Draper Hill himself. Um but it has definitely been amazing on what Mrs. Zark has done and what this program has done for our students. Uh we also talked about short-term borrowing. Um after the last few days, it looks like that uh we may not have to shortterm power. So, so things have kind of come in um kind of unexpectedly, would you say, Julie? Um and we think we can

get through it in into December. So, um but it looks looks positive, correct? Okay. So, more good news. Uh lastly, uh we have a guest speaker tomorrow. Superintendent of Whiteall, Mike Bailey, will be in our high school gym at 2:00 talking to uh our staff and our students 5th through 12th. Uh any parents and community members that want to come in, they're more than welcome. Uh what he's going to be talking about is the future of learning and education um globally. So we saw him or watched him, listened to him, seen him at Cornell. He did one. Um, and it was it was eye opening um to understand that uh our students aren't going to be just against students from Marshfield, Spencer, um the other states. It it is a global network and a global

competition out there when they get out. So it was it was really eye opening and I think it'll be very good for our our students, staff and parents to to see. So that is what I have. So thank you. >> All right, we'll go ahead and set some meeting dates. >> Uh I would go regular board meeting next month. Right now the 24th is the day before Thanksgiving. So I would >> 26. >> You're away from that. >> 26th >> is the day before Thanksgiving, >> right? >> How about 24th? >> 24th. >> Monday would be an option of the 19th. >> I think we should go on the 19th, November 19th. Then we'll have a joint meeting on the 12th that will be here. Correct. >> Over there. Um, we need to schedule an

athletic committee meeting. >> Would we How about that? 17th or 18th after school. >> Matt Crystal 17th 18th >> 17th 17th >> 6:00 >> 6 >> earlier or what? 6:00 >> 6 will be 9. We want to build. >> Let me get a hold of Brad. Hold Brad's. >> Okay. >> I'll get a hold of uh I've been working on trying to get a hold of Brad Simon. So set up when he can make it. >> Did you guys want to set a policy meeting? >> We have one. We have one on the 27th and finance. We just had so we're good there. We're missing anything else. 27. >> Yeah. 9:00 a.m. >> That is an update from the good. I think >> we're good. >> Any questions or clarifications from the agenda items? Hearing

none, I would entertain a motion tojourn the open session, but we are going to convene in close session. Crystal made a motion. It's like my day. >> We're going to go in and close. >> Okay. Roll call. >> I'm sorry. >> Better do roll call then. >> Yep. >> Here. >> Yep. Y >> and call No call. >> Yes. Yeah, it's a great idea. >> What's happening? >> Yes.
