which includes the monthly financial statements exhibits F18 through F3C. You have the combined bank reconciliation at August 31 with a combined reconciled balance of 8,494 6664. This includes the U record balance [clears throat] for all operating accounts including the two schools and the child nutrition program. And I just want to remind you that we have received state funds that are for FY26 that are included in that balance. >> I was wondering about that. I saw that money and I was wondering if that >> around around $2 million. >> Yeah, >> it's actually for FY26 that's included, right? uh that we've already received that they've already dispersed to us. >> Thank you for that explanation. Yes, ma'am. >> And then you also have the accounts payable um check register report for 2025 that shows [clears throat

and laughter] of every check written during August listed uh with the vendor name and a brief description based on the accounting code. From that report, you can see um that the dispersements from our state fund source was $104,566.84. From federal fund sources, it was $189,1619 and from local fund sources it was $335,24562. And that's the total for accounts payable for August where September will be even more >> and then October will be way down because we're paying all of the October normal bills that we would pay in October. The 10th of the month bills that'll be paid in September. Um and that's the monthly financial statements. And then you've got all your other reports there um to review. And if you've got any questions, I'll be glad to answer. Okay. Thank you. Financial report. >>

I recommend the board approve the Jacksonville City uh schools accounts payable and payroll for August 2025 and accept August 2025 financial statements. >> So move. >> It has been moved and properly second that we accept the report. Are there any discussion? Not. All in favor let it be known by I. I. >> I. Therefore, the motion stand approved as stated. >> Moving to item number eight, superintendent report and new business. >> Yes. Before I get into uh making recommendations on the superintendent report, I want to uh just thank the board for coming in at noon today and um having I don't know why we call it a retreat. I know it was like a a boot camp for all of you um where our department heads and our principles, administrators came in and gave a

report of their programs, most of them. I mean, we could have brought in even more, but [clears throat] um I want to say thank you. Thank you for your support. Thank you for taking time. Um several of you missed work, missed uh pay to be and I appreciate that very very much. And uh so and I know um our faculty, our staff, they appreciate you as well. But um I hope that you learned a great deal. Um I know um it's a wonderful school system. Uh just top chef and I'm not just saying that because I'm superintendent. I truly believe that. Um but that is because of the support that we get not only from the board but from the community as well. want to welcome uh two of our city council members uh with

us as well. [laughter] >> And uh for the three uh of you that were sworn in tonight um who ran unopposed. Uh that's the best kind of race that you can have. >> Congratulations on being uh again u >> placed on a wonderful school board. And so, uh, moving forward, I want to on 8A recommendation to approve the Jacksonville City School policy 6.70.61, um, paid parental leave. >> I move second. >> It has been moved and properly second that we accept the superintendent recommendation for policy number 6.70.61, paid per parental uh, leave. Are there any discussion? If not, the motion stand as written. All in favor, let it be known by I. >> I. >> Motion carried. >> And then um before I move on to the B is just an information item. Um it's

a proposed policy on uh vaping. And so that will sit before you and you can take time to take a look at that. The policy though that you just uh approved, the paid parental leave that came online July 1 and we've already had several people that have taken advantage of that. And so, um, I know that that's going to be, uh, a policy, a law that drives that policy that's going to really help our people. Um, moving on to personnel, uh, make a recommendation that the board approve personnel items, um, A through E, Dr. Go back to C. >> I'm sorry. It is. And I wrote A through C here as well, but I also was at the retreat. And so, >> [laughter] >> um, and I' I've been drinking from a fire hose for

the last four hours, too. So, uh, so let me back up and correct that. Recommend the board approve first items A through C. >> No, no, no, no. >> 8 C, >> the supplement schedule. >> Uhhuh. It would be nice if uh >> that probably should have been with >> um I think I have a different >> Yeah. Well, that's what happens when you give the superintendent two um agendas. So, yeah. Well, and this would be a night that we're streaming, wouldn't it? [laughter] Yeah. Well, I I can only say I'm just a man. And uh the next time when you give me two, just take that other one back from me and say, "Don't look at that anymore." So, all right. So, yes, we do have an item C. So, now that I'm on

the same verse, hymn, and actually on the same hymn book that y'all are in, um I make a recommendation. It's just great to have Miss Ler and Mr. Wilson here, uh to witness this. Um make a recommendation that the board um approve the revision to the Jacksonville City Schools 2025 2026 supplement schedule. >> So, move. >> Second. 013I >> motion approved. >> And so before we move on that um Sean Hudgens uh this is a supplement for him but um Sean is already doing a wonderful work with this. So much of your safety now is technology oriented working with the city working with um law enforcement from uh the programs that we have zero eyes that you approved that is now uh working for us. um all of our safety cameras, um all the plans that are online, just updating all. So, he will be doing all of that, but also compliance monitoring um board if you uh and I know you do, the last two AASB meetings that you had have been focused on the new safety law. Um and so, and it is required within that that you have a coordinator and so

um he's going to do a a fabulous job in that already is. And so, I appreciate the board allowing us to do that. I can move on to personnel now. >> Personnel item number nine. [laughter] >> I recommend the board approve personnel items A through E. >> A through F. >> F. >> Someone drew a line under E. 015the motion personnel item A through F. Are there any discussion? Which is none. Therefore the motion. If you're in favor, let it be known by saying I. I. >> I. Motion carried. All approved. Now the selection of AASP delegate to the 2025 annual convention. >> Mr. Kennedy, were you um going to be doing that this year? >> Would you be willing to do >> Yes, ma'am. I will. I will. >> Okay. Well, I nominate Mr. Kennedy to serve as our delegate for the AASB Winter Conference. >> Second. >> It has been moved and properly second. We don't have any discussion on it, do we? because we appreciate that that [laughter] Kennedy will serve as our delegate to the 2025 AASB conference annual uh conference in Montgomery. >> Yes, Montgomery. >> We have that alternative. >>
