Right. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. We're going to go ahead and reconvene back into open session. At this time, if you all please stand and join me for our flag slip. Ready? Begin. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Great. Thank you very much. Says us leaning into roll call at this time. >> Miss White >> present. You miss Bibo. And I believe Miss Hunter and Mr. Flity are not able to be with us this evening. And Superintendent Mr. Schumake >> here. >> Awesome. Thank you very much everyone. We've got to this evening's adoption of our agenda, but we do have some movements that are happening. Um and so, uh
I am going to ask if I can get a motion to actually um eliminate our superintendence report. Not that it is not of importance, Mr. should make but just in regards to our time constraints moving um item number four to second on our agenda which will follow after the adoption of our agenda and moving consent to number three. >> Um I move that we adopt the uh newly revised agenda as presented by Mr. Gordon. >> Thank you very much. Is there a second? >> Thank you. Motion made second. All in favor? >> I oppose. Great. Thank you very much. So therefore, that then has us moving directly to um our new itemized agenda number two, which is actually I'm sorry, one moment. Um I need to move to public comment at this time. And um
there is nothing to report from close session. Um, and I do need to identify that for items not on tonight's agenda, they are placed there for uh the purpose of providing members from the public and bargaining unit representatives the opportunity to address the board on any items that that does not appear on our agenda. Um, each speaker does have two minutes to speak. Um, but under the Brown Act, the board does not have the ability to comment on items that are not on the agenda. However, we're not ignoring those items and can in fact refer our superintendent and cabinet to follow up with those items. For items that are on this evening's agenda, I'll identify at the moment when it's best for our um public comment to take place. But that being said, it then
has us then moving on to our new agenda. Item number two, resolution number 26-02, declaration of need for fully qualified educators. And this is an action item. Mr. Haley, >> good evening. >> Each year, and it's about this time of year as we're preparing to provide our staffing for our uh 2026 27th school year. And so, every year, our district, we uh work hard to find the most qualified teachers to fill those vacancies. And at this time, we may, as we go through our hiring process, uh need to hire someone who has not fully completed their coursework. If we have difficulty finding fully qualified people, uh we may need to um consider someone who maybe hasn't finished their specific coursework, but they qualify for an emergency permit. And uh legislative changes have required that when
we present the need for fully a declaration for the need for fully qualified educators that we must uh include a public meeting by our governing board here today. And so at this time, it's the recommendation that the board of trustees um approve the resolution 2602, the declaration of need for fully qualified educators for the 2627 school year. >> Great. Thank you very much. It doesn't appear there's any um public comment, any discussion. Seeing no discussion, if I can get a motion then for approval of resolution dash or sorry um 26-2. >> We approve resolution number 2602. >> Thank you. Is there a second? >> I'll second that. >> Motion made in second. All those in favor? >> I oppose. Great. Motion passes. Thank you. >> Thank you. I did want to identify for our minutes
with the readopt with the movement of our new agendaized items and sequence, it does have us moving the original number two and number three agendaized items to a different date um which our superintendent will provide us in a later um time. Sorry for the confusion on that. Uh with that being said, it then has us moving to agenda item number three, consent. However, we do need to pull number five and six by doing so. So, if there is a motion at this time on consent um by pulling five and six from it, please. >> So, move. >> Thank you. There's second. >> Yes, there is. I'll second. >> Thank you very much. So, therefore, that'll have us then um voting on consent uh with uh starting from 7 through 11. Is there a motion for
that, please? Through 12, pardon me. I move that we approve consent items 7 through 12. >> Thank you. Is there a second? >> I'll second. All those in favor? I oppose. >> Great. Um I think that's I think that's going to be it. So if we can get a um motion for adjournment, please. >> Well, I am happy to do that. I move that we adjourn which I believe will be our shortest rescue union school district board meeting that I am uh familiar with. >> That's correct. Thank you very much.
