You're ready for this trip. Good afternoon and welcome as we Call to order the regular monthly board meeting, House and County Board of Education regular monthly board meeting on Tuesday, October the 14th, 2025 at 1 p.m. At this time, if you will please look at your cell phones or cellular devices and please silence them at this time so as we don't disturb one another. And I will double check. Yep. Okay. Um, we will move along now. We always begin our meeting with a moment of silence. So, if you will please join me in a moment of silence to reflect and kind of center yourselves and as we um take care of our um business today. So, moment of silence, please. Thank you. All right. Next, we will have our pledge of allegiance and that will

be led by Bryley Clark and Jacob Claybornne from Morningside Elementary School. Um, Morning Side was our host last night for our um, work session and did a fantastic job, I might add. And so um, Bryley and Jacob, if you will please lead us, please stand to the flag of the United States of America and to the stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Great job. Thank you, Riley and Jacob. All right. At this time, we will hear from four of our school principles who have brought special guests to introduce. Um, we will begin with our host from last evening, Dr. Cassandra King from Morningside Elementary School and her Morningside Panthers. And Dr. King, I might add, last night was just wonderful. Thank you so much. Your hospitality of you

and your students and your staff and just the the meal, the ambiance of the the decor, just everything was just wonderful. So, thank you so much. >> You're absolutely welcome, and we were so glad to host you all last night and so glad that you enjoyed it. And so today I have some of Morningside's finest that I would like to share with everyone and introduce. And I will begin with our teacher of the year, Miss Tiffany Taylor Wright. [Applause] Miss Wright is absolutely a phenomenal educator and she has the ability to create relationships with some of the most difficult students and it's just a joy to see her. She's an inspiration to all and I'd like to share some things that she has said that teaching is more than a career. It's a ministry. It's

a calling and every day she strives to build strong relationships with her students. They know they are valued, supported, and capable of success. The classroom is not just a place to teach academics, but it's also a pa a space to encourage, inspire, and nurture young minds and hearts. Every lesson, every conversation, and even the small moments are an opportunity to serve and make a lasting impact on the lives of students, Miss Tiffany Wright. [Applause] And here I have the beautiful Miss Brley Clark. Miss Brley was in Miss Taylor's class, Miss Wright's class last year. She is very respectful. She's determined. She is a student that consistently shows Panther pride. She exhibits leadership maturity beyond her years and she serves as a positive example throughout Morningside. She's a member of our junior PBIS team. She's a

cheerleader and she plays flag football to everyone. Miss Brley. [Applause] And then last but certainly not least, we have Mr. Jacob Claybornne. He was in Miss Uright's class last year as well, and he has faced numerous challenges, but he is adamant about overcoming them all. He constantly pushes himself to overcome obstacles that might otherwise prevent him from succeeding. He has exhibited resilience and a strong work ethic. Despite any disabilities or challenges, Jacob will be successful in life. He loves football and baseball. Mr. Jacob Claybornne. >> Thank you so much, Dr. King. Um, next we have our Bonire Elementary Wildcats and their principal, Dr. Tanya Pinkley. Dr. Pinkley, thank you for allowing me to spotlight some wonderful people today. Um, at Bonire, we have a saying that we encourage our students, wild cats, choose kindness. And

on the way over today, I asked them, I said, "Do you know why I chose you today?" And the students were like, "No." And all three of these people have kindness and they lead with heart in everything that they do. And so that's why I have my three here today. And the first one, of course, is our teacher of the year, Miss Anna Wentz, who is not only a teacher of the year, but she was in our top five for the district as well. And she loves her students day in and day out. She knows her students where they are, each every one of them. And she builds relationships with them inside of school and out of school. And she is just really an example of leading with the heart and caring about your students.

um an interesting thing and I asked permission to share before I'm sharing but she is a type one diabetic and over the last couple of years we've had students in our building who were diagnosed during the school year with it and she has helped not only the students adapt and get used to being a type 1 diabetic but she's also helped the parents she reaches out to them and shares with them how her experience has been and so the the biggest compliment I could give to her is that she loves everybody that she works with, her students, the adults in our building. She is at every event in our school that we have and then she goes outside of the school day and visits with her students at their events as well. And she leads

with heart and that is so very important in this day and age. And next I have little Miss Heaven Brown. These two students were in preK and then of course, you know, we split. So, this is my last year being able to see prek and all the way to fifth. And it kind of breaks my heart a little bit. But these two I met when they were in prek, both of them. And Heaven is such a kind soul. She loves everyone. Every day in car rider, she'll get out of her car and she gives every one of us a hug. She walks through the building and she gives every adult a hug. I told her this morning, I said, "You have no idea how uplifting and kind you are every day." And she has worked

very hard through her academic career as well. And she should be so very proud of herself, but she leads with heart as well. And right beside her, I have Mr. Trenton Hayy Chuck. And he is the same way. He steps up. If he sees a need, he steps in. If it's a student that needs help and assistance, he steps in and helps and gives assistance. He is quick, he gives hugs, too. They're they're quick because he's kind of got to be cool a little bit, but he gives hugs, too. Um, but he is just really a leader in the classroom. and and they're very different styles of leaders, but all three of these people are tremendous leaders in our building because they lead with their heart and they care and they're very dedicated to help

our world a better world and they represent Bonner Elementary. [Applause] Thank you so much, Dr. Pinkley and thank you for reminding us that leading from the heart and kindness is something that we all should remember every day. So, thank you. Um, next we have the Hilltop Hawks and their principal is Dr. Ovita Glover. Dr. Glover, thank you so much to our board. Thank you Dr. Scott for having us and hosting and allowing Hilltop to be part of your program on today. I am very pleased and honored to bring to you two of our finest Hawks, our teacher of the year that have actually been with me since day one. I definitely want to say thank you to all of our students and all of our teachers. We starting with u my soaring hawk Jordan. We

have Jordan Ward. Jordan is a fifth grade student at Hilltop Elementary School. He has been with me since day one. Um this year I did something a little bit different called commitment cards. With commitment cards, um I've asked all of our fifth grade students to give me three things that they are committed to. And for these two students, Jordan actually stood out not just with me, but with all of our teachers. And I just want to say thank you to him for committing to showing up every day. His attitude, his attendance, his achievement. I definitely want to say I appreciate you. His favorite subject, I want you to hear me clearly. his favorite subject is math. However, he says, "Dr. Glover, my favorite part of the day is lunch." So, I said, "Well, thank you

so much." I mean, he's a little comical. He's I mean, just always willing to be there for me. I definitely say thank you to him. He um also he loves Mrs. Clark, his teacher. He's part of our gifted class. He also wants to make sure I mention that mom. I hope she's here. She he he loves his mom. He say she has a listening ear for him all the time and he appreciate that. So we definitely want to say thank you to mom and being a part of the Hilltop Elementary School. Thank you. [Applause] Next I would like to um introduce Reed Brown. Reed is totally awesome. Again he's been with me since day one. I appreciate him as well. Reed also loves math and just bonding with him, getting to know him. His character

just speaks. He's, you know, when you first meet him, he's a little quiet, but you guys, over the years, he shines bright. He is a shining star at Hilltop Elementary School. He loves the Pythagorean theory. To all of my math people out here, he loves to apply uh math and everything he does. a couple of people he actually looks up to and he says part of his future um science he loves Neil Tyson he's all into space and science and just doing all the great things and I don't want to leave out dad he loves his dad he's learning a lot from you dad he mentions that a lot so we definitely want to say thank you and we appreciate you um he's also part of our gifted and talented classes and we appreciate that

I also want to mention for both students that I did not know you learn a lot about your students as you reflect and be like, I see them every year. They're they're here with me all the time. But just getting to know them. They both are part of uh baseball together and Center Point Church. So, little things. I'm just learning a lot about my students and I definitely want to say thank you. We appreciate you. And now for our fabulous teacher of the year, Mrs. Wendy Wood. Uh Mrs. Wendywood. Um, again, as I say, I look at my day one people and she um, for those of us that have been here a while, remember we started the Grow Your Own program. She was part of your grow your own program over 10 years ago

and now she's our teacher. She started out as a parah, went through Middle Georgia State. Um, now she was para of the year, uh, teacher of the month, teacher of the year, part of our instructional team, part of the leadership team, part of students living for Christ. I mean, she opens the building, she closes the building, she's there for everything uh, we do. She definitely believes in producing high achieving students. Students are actively engaged constantly in the classroom. Just going by there today, you know, she was picking up two or three of them at a time. um trying to make sure that all students are included. We definitely appreciate Mrs. Wendywood and in her words I did ask what is one thing that I can leave with you know just knowing about Mrs. Wendy um

she definitely says I believe in building relationships with my students and that is our number one. So we definitely want to say thank you to Jordan. I want to say thank you to Reed and Mrs. Wendywood from Hilltop Elementary School. [Applause] Thank you, Dr. Rogers. >> Thank you so much, Dr. Glover. And last but not least, we have our Langston Road Primary School stallions and their principal, Dr. Kelly Rush. Dr. Rush. >> Hey, good afternoon, everyone. Thank you so much for having us here today. I am so honored to bring three wonderful individuals here to to share. I'll start with um I guess I'll start with my teacher of the year. This is Miss Julie Doster. She's actually our speech therapist at Langston Road Primary, which speech teacher. She's outstanding and in one word, phenomenal.

I don't know if if any of you have ever had an opportunity to visit Julie in her, we call her Miss Julie, sorry, Julie in her classroom, but she does wonders with her students. I have never seen anyone engage her students as much as uh as Julie does. She pushes them to their to reach their highest potential, works very very well with them. And when she What I love about it is is when I'm in the hallway and I see her in the hallway with the students, she's constantly engaging them in conversation and uh you know talking to them about their weekend and building those relationships with her students and it's just a wonderful thing to see. She has been a speech therapist for 25 years I think and um 15 of those have been

in Hston County and um one of my favorite things about Miss Julie is that the students mix us up all the time. So they'll they'll go to see her and say hey Dr. rush and they'll see me and say, "Hey, Miss Julie." And you know, sometimes I correct them, but sometimes I don't want to because I think it's an amazing compliment to be to be called Miss Julie on a daily basis. So, she is um just wonderful. We absolutely love her. Um next up is Oh my goodness, I just love my Mia Mallerie. This is Mia Mallerie. She is a second grade student and I'm going to miss her tremendously next year when she leaves to go to the elementary school. But Mia is one of the kindest, sweetest, and most hardworking students that you

will find. She does such a great job in her second grade classroom. She um encourages all the other kids. And you know, when she's in reading or math, she's always asking, according to her teacher, these thought deep, real deep, thought-provoking questions that will stimulate conversation with the kids. So, they're collaboratively learning at, you know, a a heightened level. And she just does a great job. She is um a Girl Scout, which is is wonderful. And I said, "What do you love most about being a Girl Scout?" And she said, "They teach us how to be friends with with others and kindness and respect." And she was using all these character traits. And I said, "That's who she is. She is definitely a Girl Scout because she that's that's who she is. She's just kind, respectful,

and a friend to others all the time. She's um an amazing girl. She's in every club under the sun. She's in our art club because she loves to paint. And she's in our sports club and she's in our cult communication club and does announcements on the TV every morning. And so we are amazed by her and she is just a wonderful student. I couldn't be more proud. And next up is my little spitfire. This is Jackson. Look, he looks at me like that daily. This is Jackson Frankhouser. Come here, Jackson. Come closer. He is a great great boy. Jackson is a first grade student at Langston Road Primary and he um he's just a just a workhorse in the classroom. He doesn't back down from a challenge. As a matter of fact, he he loves

a challenge. You give him something that he can't do and he's going to figure out how to do it. But um one of the greatest things about Jackson is he does not like to see people isolated. He does not like to see people working alone or even alone at recess. He always wants to include others. And it's such a great character trait when you can see that, you know, this person doesn't have a friend or this one doesn't have someone to talk to and he's like, "Come on and, you know, join up with me and and we'll hang out and we'll do whatever." So, what a what a great character trait to have. Um, Jackson is also um a traveling baseball player. I think he plays for Velocity, so he does a great job with

that. Um, and one of my funnest um funnest, is that a word? Most fun things to do with Jackson. I'm on uh bus duty every day and I know I could change that because I'm the principal, but I just do it anyway. But I'm on bus duty with him and I will try to cut up with my students and joke around. We just have such a good time and whenever I make a joke, he just always looks at me like, are you for real? I mean, are you are you supposed to, you know, do principles really cut up like that? But um yeah, he's he just kind of looks through me and tries to figure me out all the time. But he's a great kid. I love both of these kids. I love my my

uh teacher of the year. We have a great time at Langston Road Primary. And again, thank you for allowing us to be here today. [Applause] Thank you so much, Dr. Rush. Um and thank you to each of our guests today. Um we always love hearing the little stories and the little background um information about each and every one of you. Um our principles, our teachers, and our students. So now at this time I will turn it over to Dr. Rogers who will recognize our other guest. >> Well, good afternoon. How's everyone? You guys look great today. I love the full house. You know, I was thinking about what Bonner Elementary lives by, guys. And I agree. Leading with the heart is the way to go. And I also give hugs, too. So, it's okay. And

you know, our theme, our theme is together we can. And we accomplish a lot, guys. Together we can and together we will. And I am so proud today to have Winter Robbins High School and Hston County High School here today. Get this. Last school year over 3,600 advanced placement exams were given in this school district. Let that sink in for a moment, guys. With students striving to earn a score of three or higher. Last month, we recognized Perry High. And today, we have students from House County High and Warner Robbins High. Guys, we have to do this in three board meetings because of you guys, the students. audience, please hold your applause until each school has finished introducing their students. And we will begin with Hston County High School. >> Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you

to the board, Dr. Rogers, for having us in uh you know, educators love data. So, just a few numbers for you. Uh here from House of County High, you see 66 of 89 of our underassmen who tested last year. The others are absent. Most of them didn't want to miss their HASP class at the career academy, so they're in class. Um, we had 143 students total last year, including our seniors who have graduated, who scored a five on an exam. Large number of those scored multiple fives leading to Hston County High School having 212 total fives on AP exams last year. So, I thought that was pretty incredible. Certainly makes me proud to be the principal at Hston County High. Proud for this group, all of our students and teachers who put all the work

The number of fives, I mean, years ago, and I've been here a few years, we had maybe two or three rows and that was all five schools. So, this is amazing. So, keep striving to do your best and keep making fives. We're so proud of you. So, good job. All right. Now, we're going to move on to actually the business part of our meeting. Any questions or corrections? If not, all those in favor, please raise your hand. Motion approved seven to zero. Okay. The next item we will have are board member comments. And um Mr. Nichols, would you like to share with us today? >> Thank you, Madam Chair. Uh, I didn't come in here with anything wrote

down, but I want to share a few things and just uh give you some food for thought. First off, I was in a class with Miss Hughes and with Dale uh a week or so ago. It was a a safety class about safety in our schools. And it made me think about a lot of things. Matter of fact, while I was in the class, I was texting Dr. Rogers and bothering him while he was doing other things and just asking questions about what we can do to better to be better safe here in Hston County and with our schools. And I I want to say thank you number one to not only Dr. Rogers, but everybody who's come before us that were forward thinking and getting us into a place that we're at right now

in Hston County. Um I I put on here thankful for the forward thinking at our district. We have a ways to go but are working hard to lead the way which is the Hston County way. I'm grateful that we have a group of uh board of education members. We have a group of a superintendent and executive cabinet and and those in the uh uh departments surround that that look at number one how to build the school but also how to be safe. And you know a few years ago I was with an architect and and we were able to start the process of getting the vestibules safe and getting those locked down and and and all that. And it really opened my eyes to, you know, what's happening starting back then. And that was tw

that was 14 years ago. 15 years ago. So where we've come from 15 years ago to right now, guys, I'm thankful that we have a school system and a forwardthinking school system that says Hston County is leading the way in our state and we're doing a great job of trying to be where we need to be. We're not there yet, but we're trying to get there. Okay. Uh number two, I want to put a plug in. I've got it in my front yard. I hope you've got one in your front yard. And it's a sign. And what does that sign say? It says, "Vote yes for the school East Blast." Okay, I know some of y'all aren't able to vote yet, but if you were, I would suggest that you say yes. Now, why? Because

what that does is is make sure that we are forward thinking, that we are on board to make sure that we're doing everything we can for you students and for you students and you teachers and you principles uh to be able to uh work in the the the schools and the auditoriums and the gyms and the and the stadiums and the field houses and all the things that aren't run down. and we're doing everything we can to make sure that our system isn't there. We've got a few schools to go to pick them up and we're working on those. Um, but I'm I'm very grateful that that esplast has helped us get there. Okay. Um, I I I just say to each one of you guys and y'all listening on the on the uh the

web, vote yes for the East Blast. Next, I want to say thank you you hardworking students. Thank you. You hardworking teachers. Thank you. You hardworking min administration. Thank you. You hardworking support staff. Thank you. You hardworking parents. How many parents are out here today? Raise your hand for me. Thank you. You hardworking parents that are behind your children, that are for your children, that are coaching your children, that are encouraging your children. Thank you grandparents. How many grandparents we got out here? Thank you grandparents that are not only encouraging your children but encourage encouraging your grandchildren to be the AP5s to be the leaders in this community and whatever community you're going to wind up in. And thank you community players, businesses, organizations. Thank you for backing these students, these teachers, these principles, these organizations

that help to make our students and our school district the best for me. 61 years old, I say this, y'all probably get tired of it, but it doesn't matter because this is the way I feel. 61, I've been here all my life. Born and raised at the Hston County Hospital. went to Thomas Elementary, Taber Middle, Taber Junior High School, and North Side High School. I'm grateful for my community. This is my home. You are my family because you're part of Hston County, which is my home and I'm so grateful to be a part of your family and I'm grateful to encourage you and to support you. Thank you. My county, Perry, Centerville, Warner Robbins. We are growing because each of you have helped make this county the place where people want to move to. They

want to live, work, and play here, which in turn means that our school district is growing. How many how many students we've grown with? It's over a hundred. Correct. Just this year, it's October. We started in August. We've already grown by over a hundred students in this district already this year. Thank you for setting goals and for reaching the those goals. Together we can continue taking the Hston County School District to strive to be the best. Thank you to all of y'all. >> Thank you, Mr. Nichols. Uh are there any other board members that would like to share today? Just a side note, um >> I was asked to make this announcement to the board. They have the championship coach >> Thursday 5:00 right now. It's going to be at Freedom Field. So, we need

to support our middle schools. They're not here, but we need to support our middle schools. They're going to be up in the high schools next year. I think the eighth grade is going to be um versus Mosy Creek and seventh grade is going to be Northide versus Thompson. Let's go Tigers. >> Okay. So, >> favorite Tigers. >> If you're not doing anything starting at 5:00, um if you would come out and support the middle schools for the championship. >> That's right. >> Thank you, Mr. Jackson, for sharing that and reminding us. Um anyone else? Okay. If not, um Dr. Rogers, it's time for your superintendent report. >> You know, I want to begin by talking to the students from Warner Robbins High and Hoko for a moment. I think we need to take a moment

and thank this board because they paid for your AP test. Did that help you guys? >> These are the ones who did it. Let's give them a hand, guys. [Applause] We want to remove any barrier we can to support you guys. We're we're dedicated and focused on you students and we're proud of you and look at what you've done. Well, guys, I want to welcome you back from fall break. Everyone have a good fall break. >> Oh, yeah. >> All right. There's the smiles. I had one, too. Do we have that commitment from you guys students? >> Let's work together. We've got this. All right. Graduation rate. Let's just talk about you guys some more. The Georgia Department of Education recently released the graduation rates for the class of 25. And I'm extremely proud to announce that Hston Countyy's graduation rate is 93.3%. [Applause] And although our district reflects the state of Georgia, we're 6.1% higher than the state's rate. That's important to note. The district saw a 2.1% increase from last year. And I think I saw my friend here pointing to our old banner. We got to get that replaced, don't we? It's time to update that banner. Our graduation rates continue

to improve each year. We're proud to have exceeded our goal once again. In addition, the College Board's 2025 SAT results show that Hston County students once again outperformed the state and the nation for the ninth consecutive year. Guys, we're a global. We compete globally. Did you hear me say nation? Our students earned a mean score of 171, which is well above the state national averages for the ninth year in a row. The dedication and teamwork of our staff, our students, teachers, and their families are truly making a difference in our students lives. We couldn't be prouder of every graduate for their perseverance and commitment. That's what you guys are doing. We want to thank you for that. Also, congratulations to Russell Elementary School for being named a 25 title one distinguished school. What does this

mean? They're one of the highest performing 5% title one schools in the state in the ELA and math scores. We're extremely proud of them for earning this impressive designation. Middle school sports. We just heard about that. Congratulations to Mossy Creek Middle School for winning both the seventh and eighth grade county softball championships. Any of you guys go to Mossy Creek? I figured a few of you did. Volleyball region champs. I'd like to congratulate the volleyball team from Perry High School for winning their region championship as well. And for flu clinics, guys, it's that time of year. Our school districts partnered with the Hston County Health Department. >> My word. >> Uhoh. What's that? Did I say something funny? Oh, okay. Let's go. This is our 17th year partnering, guys. Listen, we we have a great

partnership with our health department and we're offering free flu vaccines to students and employees. The flu shots being offered at all 40 sites between October 16th and November 18th. And it's a convenient way for our students and staff to stay stay healthy. We want to thank everyone for their work with that. We have some upcoming events on October 15th, which is tomorrow at 4:00. Dr. Shaw and his family will give grants to teachers of our gifted students across our district. This is something he and his family guys have done for annually for years and we're so grateful for their generosity and support of our district. Guys, the Shaw family has made a difference in this district and these teachers of of gifted students are using that money to extend learning and focus on STEM and

help push our students so we have more AP5 sitting here in the future. So, we're looking forward to that tomorrow. Also, October 21st is Hston County Band Night where all of our middle and high school bands will perform. It begins at 7 PM at the McConnell Talbert Stadium. My high schoolers, how many of y'all are playing in that? Hands up. >> A little bit higher. Come on. All right. So, we'll see you guys there for that. Good. All right, guys. Special months. October is a big month. During the month of October, we celebrate many special observances that honor our staff. Please take time to express your appreciation to these employees for the work they do every day for our students. Lastly, I was so glad to hear Mr. Mr. Nichols say this a moment ago.

I hope some of you, especially the parents in here, picked up. We have some of these when you walked in with the agenda. These are East Floss handouts. This is a fact sheet. There's a lot of facts out there that are just not accurate. So, this will clear that up. And then this is our project sheet. So on November 4th, uh, House and County voters will be asked to decide on the continuation of the 1 cent sales tax for East Lost. These funds allow us to make significant improvements across our district, guys. Enhancing safety and security, upgrading existing facilities, building new schools, expanding technology, improving transportation. Early votings, early voting started today. All right. the board of elections office in Perry and the pavilion conference center in Warner Robbins. East blast has always east blast

has always been possible because of our partnership with our families, our community leaders, our businesses and all of those who engaged with our school district. So, we want to thank you because these success stories in this room today would not be here as well without the East Lost. Okay? Thank you for your continued commitment to our students and our schools. Y'all remember what our theme is this year? Together we can. So, let's build a strong future for Hston County because the East Bluffs is about the community. Thank you all. >> Thank you, Dr. Rogers. Okay, at this time we will have a brief intermission for our students to return to school. So, about five minutes and then we'll reconvene. Thank you, guys. Um, one that has graduated and one that's currently a Russell Elementary. So, I'm super happy to see that they did so well this year because my kid is doing fabulously at Russell. Um, this is in regards to the uh letting go of some of our teachers last month um that was publicized with the uh with the news and I wanted to speak on that matter. Um,

history matters. The TLDDR of my history is that I am the great granddaughter of a Jew that escaped Poland on the eve of Nazi invasion on the back of a military science visa. I'm alive because my ancestors chose the future of his family and a country willing to accept him in exchange for building a very large bomb. The rest of my Polish family was not so lucky because my mother felt it was necessary for me to know our history. I read a lot. My schools out west had semesterl long curriculums on World War II and they did not shy from the details. The purpose of learning history is so you don't repeat it. I studied the psychology of humans alive then and how they must have felt in the moments as Hitler rose to power.

Why didn't they fight back? Why didn't they stop it? They didn't have social they didn't have social media and open access to live streaming media like we have today. They couldn't see what was happening until the brown shirts were evicting them from their homes and disappearing their neighbors. Spiritually, I had forgiven these people for not stopping the slaughter and not fighting back. They didn't see until it was too late. For those that supported slaughter, I knew that their God would deal with them accordingly, and it was not on me. So, why do I just give you a refresher on fascist Germany? There are five steps to fascism. And the fourth step is to take the people's voice to make them feel as they are screaming into the void. So don't fight back. They're not entitled

to their opinion unless it aligns with dear leaders. They begin to censor and punish those opinions, primarily targeting the same marginalized groups they have lowkey been targeting for years. But now they can just be increasingly public about it. DEI is dead, right? Divisive topics. Don't say gay. Welcome to fascist America where we embrace hatred much better than we did Jesus Christ. I signed up to talk about freedom of speech and that is what I'm here to do. I listened for years as my son brought home stories of Hispanic children being targeted during the Trump's first term. Troops of red hats marching down the halls of Mossy Creek and chanting build that wall as they spotted someone of Latin descent. He also told me they would target anyone brown as many of them weren't educated enough

to understand there are more than just Mexicans when it comes to living close to the equator. Not pointing fingers on that one. The point is the teachers looked the other way. They did not stop the behavior. And semi-publicly, I would catch posts across all local social pages that would expose these teachers that so desperately wish they could be part of that bullying. Let's Go Brandon was a regular profile picture. Only public posts on their profile being far-right memes wishing the deaths of sitting Congress women. I was personally targeted by one of these women of your own staff, lodging false claims against my family with defacts because she didn't like my politics. Not only was she not punished, you left her in my son's classroom. Your tolerance level for the hatefilled anti-Christian behavior should have been

criminal, but it wasn't. It wasn't a crime because you respected her freedom of speech. Now, Charlie Kirk is killed. And today being the timing that it was, a man that most of you had no clue actually existed until was murdered brutally. And suddenly, he was a saintly martyr. He was the golden child of godly behavior and a champion of freedom of speech. To celebrate his death was crossing the line. Mocking Paul Pelosy's attack is absolutely within acceptable boundaries, but God forbid someone enjoy the silencing of the man that called for it. He challenged 19-year-olds to debate because he was building a brand not championing ethics and morals. He openly called for the stoning of gay people and questioned the qualifications of the most educated group in the US, black women. Y'all cheered for the death

of Bin Laden, Saddam, and Hitler. Another history Do you know how many people Hitler personally killed? One. Himself. Charlie Kirk's spread hate influenced young minds to do violence. There is data to support this. You are not allowed to tell someone how to react to his passing under the assumed privacy of a friend's only social media. Your morality clause only covers public space, and you don't pay enough to own someone's soul 247. You either need to allow your teachers the same level of freedom of expression or begin to punish those that perpetuate misinformation and hate on their own time. With that, I close this with a quote from the late Charlie Kirk. You should be allowed to say outrageous things. There's ugly speech, there's gross speech, there's evil speech, and all of it's protected under the

First Amendment. Thank you for your attention to this matter. >> Thank you. Um, okay. Um, is there a Miss Palen Pal in the room? I don't believe she's here. Okay. All right. Um, don't believe we have any other items for Okay. Uh, I will need a motion to adjurnn. >> Motion. Second. >> Have a motion by Mr. Nichols and a second by Mr. Crockett to adjourn. All those in favor, please raise your hand. Okay. meeting is adjourned. Thank you for being here.
