003gotta say tonight this is the most uncomfortable thing I've done in a long time and it's not about my comfort I wear a band on my wrist here that we wore at my summer camp this does relate to your agenda it says it's not about me tonight is not about me I don't know why I'm here I want to be someplace else I do not want to be here at a board meeting discussing this agenda which I have read thoroughly um the plan to return and the subsequent whereas document and I want to thank you all for taking the time to put together that plan that our children can I guess must be in school that's what what the governor said they must be and you've got a plan thank you for making a plan
004I appreciate it very very much but I've got to say that one of the reasons I wish I wasn't here is my family someplace else enjoying the the last part of Summer like families should be doing enjoying summer getting that last swim in with the family but instead we got a room full of people here with all different kinds of opinions about the agenda and the plan to get back to school and I gotta say I'm not surprised I'm not surprised at the agenda and the way it's going about I'm not surprised about anything in the state of Illinois and how this agenda came to be because this agenda does not represent all of the constituents in this room I really don't feel like I belong here because the only two members that were on
005this board that had questions about this agenda here are no longer here while I was at summer camp it was announced to the public somehow that they resigned the only two who were willing to challenge and ask questions about the agenda that was not supposed to be spoken about last meeting and yet once everyone from the audience left last meeting at the end of the meeting Dr Guzman got up and talked about that which was not on the agenda throughout the rest of the meeting when we walked in I got my temperature taken last time and my temperature was something like I don't know 84 degrees 84 degrees it was 84. do you know what that means it means I was clinically in the hospital with hypothermia so my point really to be to the
006point is time is up sir we we were not real serious I feel serious about things [Music] thank you [Applause] next we have fun party good evening boards thank you my name is Jacqueline Barney today I am a father coming to you speaking to you is someone that's part of the community involved with the community and I'd also like to say that these are my people The Narrative Governor pritzker supported by the local media is simply not true case at Point Kendall County it has been reported through the news and many of the different news sources in Chicagoland at Kendall County had a higher rate of infection when in fact it did not and we checked because we went to the county records and I would ask anyone opposing would I say to please don't
007take a fact go ahead and check it for yourself also I would check Will County as well because it's not being reported correctly based that most of this is all sham so we are calling on a board to use the powers given to you by the community to call on legislatures to bring the mass mandate to the floor for a debate because that is what democracy is we are giving all this power over to the governor and that's no matter what side the aisle you are on that is not good for our democracy it's not safe so my question is why are Democrat Rand States enacting Mass mandates threatening lockdowns and possibly vaccine mandates while Republican states are fully open so who's got it right who's got it wrong now I would say that if
008Republican states were voting in Black step on these lockdowns Mass mandates vaccines I would say we probably really have a problem and I believe that everyone on the opposite side of aisle from one another would all in unity do what they did like they did at the beginning of the pandemic where we all accepted it at once and we all did this and we all been through this I ask you to do your own independent research and challenge what I've been saying here tonight because I am part of multiple groups in an admin of about a hundred thousand Illinois parents and throughout this country when they say and you could check this out in Texas that you have this uptick or in Florida here is what's happening we are actually sending people into these hospitals
009to see if the emergency rooms are in fact booked up or you know packed and they're not they're just not so again you you know use your own discretion please look into this use a level of discernment we know you have powers given to you and we are asking you to stick your neck out that's for sure but please no matter what side you're out on this is not a person issue this is our children and something bigger is happening with our country and I'm asking you to do the right thing and stand on the right side of history and step up and or step back and question everything that's all I'm asking thank you God bless each and every one of you I know this is not easy thank you thank you for your
010comments ladies and gentlemen of the board thank you so much for having me here today um when you look at this as a whole what this country has been through what all of us have been through in the last year and a half we can see that there have been obvious signs we know there was a virus nobody's arguing that we know that there were things that we needed to do at certain times in order to prevent those things from happening from people dying from people getting sicker and we all did those things we cooperated we went along with those processes but now as we look back over that year and a half we can all recognize areas where the science just wasn't there they always talk about the science the fact of the matter
011is this our children at record numbers do not die or get sick from kova 19. they're fine if they do get it they recover we deserve the right to be able to send our kids to school safely all of you guys are trying to accomplish that goal we understand that you're going to put in certain practices and key elements to help keep children safe but at the end of the day you do not have the right and no other government entity does to tell people what they should and shouldn't be doing when it comes to vaccinating and when it comes to wearing a mask it is just that simple Governor JB pritzker does not have the authority or the right to circumvent your board and frankly if you're looking at it you should be concerned
012about that the fact that another government entity wants to come down and tell you that you don't have the right to do something and they'll take it out of your hands and believe me if they haven't done it they will or they could or they would and you should be concerned about that you control that what's going on with these children you have the right to put things into place and do those kind of things and as parents and as Guardians we have the right to have input on those things and we control the final says on what's going on all of you guys hold elected positions you were elected into these positions because people thought that you would hold these positions and really truthfully care and give back to the community and do those
013things and I think a lot of areas you have done those things Faithfully now is a time where you're being called to another level we had two sitting members resign you're being called to a new level to be fair to be honest to be transparent and we're expecting that from you and we're expecting that to happen I'm telling everybody in this room sir address the board not the audience okay fine thank you I'll address the board I'm telling all of you okay here we go okay I stood at this panel the last time and I told all of the people in this room we have a right to be here we have a right to send our kids to these school systems and I still firmly believe that with all of my heart but I'm
014also going to tell you this each and every one of you I'm going to instruct all of these parents pull your kids out of the school if find a replacement homeschool them go somewhere else [Applause] [Music] foreign good evening elected officials please remember that you are elected officials you are here to represent the community you are not here to dictate to any parent or any taxpayer what we should and should not be doing with our children no comments please sorry I'm sorry please don't interrupt Bill might be talking please please please go ahead Governor pritzker made a mandate that is unconstitutional his 30 days was up a long time ago we need to read our constitution not just the Constitution but the Illinois constitution as well our legislature should be stepping in and taking over
015he is not absolute power in this state and neither are you you are not obligated to contain to to hold a mandate when it's unconstitutional his 30 days is over these are the people that you represent they have children in the school district they are telling you as elected officials what they want it is up to you to do that you are not under obligation to follow an unconstitutional mandate and please remember that it is not a law we live in a republic we the people have the final say as to what happens to our children and I'm telling you pull your children out of this school district pull them out of the buildings let the buildings collapse we don't have public schools anymore we have government indoctrination buildings that's what we have and it
016is time that we put a stop to it you're worried about the money that pritzker is dangling over the school districts let him keep his money our freedoms are not for sale and neither are our children and we need to pull our children out and let this this whole public school system collapse because you're not teaching our children you're indoctrinating them and we don't need you to do that we need our children to know what their rights are their Bill of Rights and their constitution we need them to learn our history the correct history and it's not being taught in the government schools so I'm telling you pull your kids out pull them out let the system collapse we don't have public schools anymore we have government indoctrination buildings and the teachers and the school

019to do or can you make your own decision we're all adults here what concerns me is two board members including the president resigned on the same day why is it because you as adults cannot hold a civil debate without bullying the person into making a specific decision that follows your guidelines or did you bully them right out of the room because that's what it looks like and you owe it to the parents the teachers the taxpayers everyone involved in this District to do the correct thing you have the right to say no to one man that thinks he can justify dictating what everyone should do across the entire state and for what did we look up the facts how many children in the Joliet School District have died from the Coronavirus how many did anyone

022mandate I'm also fully aware today that vaccines have been mandated for every teacher or you're going to lose your job these are the kind of things that hearing as a school board member I was completely and utterly upset with because as I read the act that the governor uses it doesn't mention School it mentions buildings that they own businesses hospitals but it doesn't mention School and here's how I know that because then they try to pass 27.89 you guys all know what that is right it's a school board or it's a legislative Bill to take emergencies Powers away from boards and stick it in the hands of the government and in there it says oh the schools have to enact what the governor says for school because we forgot to put it in the emergency
023Act now I know we just had a little recess here but I was talking some other people back there and when because we might come from different places or believe different things but I think the comment is sense in this room is that we want to trust the parents now because we have trusted the science and I think a woman up here said you know you give them a vaccine now you got to wear the mask now you have to take the vaccine what's next our kids have to take the vaccine because that's where I'm seeing it going because that bill is in is in committee right now it will be on the First Once the session goes back they will rule on 27.89 and they will take the power from my school district and

026where I am right now when I grew up in school I was taught that this was America and we were free we had the freedom of speech we had the freedom of religion and I was just informed that if what I say isn't doesn't want to be heard that I can be told to be quiet and leave but this is a school board meeting where we're supposed to listen to each other's ideas and thoughts because we live in America and we're a a Melting Pot of a lot of different ideas and thoughts and we need to listen to each other but I just heard by some Authority I don't know what all the the fancy titles are that if we're told to stop talking we need to stop we can't say what we're going to
027say so that's alarming to me so back to where I was when my daughter when school closed because of covid and we started online learning my first red flag was when the counselor told my daughter through the zoom meeting we don't expect you to be able to learn when you don't have a live teacher in front of you no one expects you to learn anything more at home this is the word that I heard coming across my computer it alarmed me I kept my child home last year for homeschool I wait I gave I gave the school district a year to try to figure this out I want to believe in my country I want to believe that we are a brilliant educated I'm not educated I'm I'm just uh I'm an uneducated citizen I
028don't even have a high school diploma okay you guys are educated and I have faith in our ability to make good choices for our children so I'm coming back this year she wants to come back we went through the registration and again I'm completely confused I understand I want to keep keep wanting to keep people safe I don't understand a government being able to tell its citizens what they have to wear and what kind of chemicals they have to put in their body that doesn't make sense to me I understand that an education system is to educate okay that's their job to educate when we went through the registration program that you know come back Tigers day go through all the tables um we were informed that all everybody would be required to wear a
