regular meeting to order on uh March 17, 2026, year of our Lord at 1800 p.m. at the West Baller Central Office building. I'd like to welcome everyone. All board members are present. Get everyone to stand for the pledge, please. Algiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> I need a motion to approve the agenda with the addition of item 8H. They I forgot to put them on the last uh board meeting. It's just the uh item 8H. It will read open award propane and fuel bids. So I need a motion if no one else has any changes on it. >> A motion. >> Miss Ashley. So motions. >> Miss Becky. >> I'll second.

Yes. >> Miss Becky seconds. All in favor? >> I. >> All opposed. Hear no opposition. Motion carries. Number four, public comment. Anyone from the public? >> Hearing no public comments, board member comments. Mr. Jones, tricked you, didn't I, Becky? >> Uh, I was just going to touch base a little bit. Uh, plans going forward on refinishing or doing something with the gym floor? very very slick >> potentially. We've got we've got quotes uh I've talked with Mary Jane about uh finding that you know some money in the budget for that and that's something that we can definitely look to bring to the board to uh potentially get on the summer work schedule or at least make sure that that's taken care of before basketball season and volleyball season hopefully. >> Is there any idea like

a date when that might be done? Uh we would obviously try and get something on uh the dead period if you know people we would contract with would still be uh you know have that date available but we would work with them on availability as to when we might be able to do that. Okay, that's all I got. This actually >> uh No, just Well, a reminder that this weekend is the Rudolph run since they didn't get to have it. >> It's the EF what they do every year since they didn't get to have it over the winter. So, if any of y'all are up for running, get your miles. Get your miles in this weekend, Hargus. >> Okay. >> If I'm going to run, somebody's running after me. So, >> just go support then

walk it out. No, but hope hopefully it'll be a good turnout. >> Food at the finish line, then I'm there. >> I used to do three miles and under 18 minutes. Now I'd be lucky if I could do them in 18 ft without oxygen. >> Drill sergeant pushing. >> No, but if you guys know anybody, it'd be a fun time for him. >> Anything else, Miss Ashley? >> No. >> Miss Amanda? >> Uh, nothing at this time >> really. >> I just had a really long meeting at work to 5:30, so I'm spent. >> You know what I mean? I'm spent. >> Hi, Miss Becky. >> Okay. Um, so full disclosure, I only completed Mr. Arvin's survey for feedback today, but it made me think I bet I'm not the only one who was a

little tardy doing that. So, I just wanted to remind everybody it only took me about 10 minutes. So, that was a good opportunity to give some feedback u for Mr. Arban's growth for Gallatin County. The only other thing I wanted to mention, I did attend a conference last week in Louisville at our very favorite golf house. Um, the COSBA conference. So, if you've not heard of the COSBA, it is, and I had to write it down, the Consortium of State School Board Associations. So, it used to be National School Board Association back in the day. So, but now it's this newer group. Um, and so we had like 1,400 people nationally there. So they had their national conference in Louisville. So I went with KSBA and there was about 1,400 people there, about 120 from

Kentucky. So that was a pretty good turnout. Uh, they had some really interesting sessions. Uh, Felicia Rashad, remember the Cosby show? She was the national speaker. Don't ask me why, but anyway, I got to see her. But anyway, I got some ideas and um I'm sorry, what >> I said, why? >> Don't ask me why. I don't know why. >> They have I mean, they've had in the past they've had Condies arise. They've had um oh gosh, Dave Morris and I saw Muel Gorbachoff one year. I mean, that has been ages. They've had um they've had, you know, Robin Roberts has been there. Anyway, so my point is uh it was interesting to talk to board members from other states. Believe it or not, other states pay 3040,000 for a board seat. You earn that

much money. So, um it's always interesting to hear their stories. and they had some some good sessions as well as some that you know were okay. That's all I have. >> Is the feds ready to hear? No other uh Yeah. Hear no other board member comments. Moving on to item six, student uh staff school board reports. Student school board member, Miss Brianna Griffin. Um so FFA competed in our regional day last Tuesday. We were very successful. We have four kids going to state our quiz goal team which is like quick recall with agriculture and FFA facts. And then me along with a sophomore Shayla Raleigh are going to state for our speeches as well. Mine was over turf and lawn and then hers was over fruits and veggies. So we're I'm very proud of our

chapter this year. been trying to grow it and I feel like we're doing pretty well at that. Um, last Wednesday band went and went to the KMEA assessment, see how well our band is. We got a proficient rating. We were kind of expecting an apprentice just because of a new band director, Harter Music, but we were we were happy, very happy with the proficient. And then I know softball's opening day is this week and I know baseball's been practicing, but I don't know when their first day is. I would assume it's sometime this week or next week. >> That's all I got. was today, but I think it got cancelled. >> It's a little cold. >> Anything else, Miss Brand? >> That's it. >> Item 6B, Mr. Eddie Busherman, school staff reports. Okay, the attendance

report is pretty consistent um compared to last month. attendance took a little bit of a hit over the last month. A lot of sickness throughout the district, throughout the community, but still overall up for the year. Um, you can see that near the bottom right of your table there comparing this year's data to last year's data. So, still overall as a district up about half a percentage point compared to this time last year. Um, three of our four schools are still up over 94% and the one school that is not up over 94%, they have made the largest increase from data last year. So, you expect younger kids to be more sick more often. So, that's why theirs is down um always a little bit lower. That's pretty self-explanatory looking at that um table. As

far as truency goes, still in a on a good path with truency. This time last year we had 26 kids um that were filed on with the county attorney. Right now we're at 19. So still under that number from last year and honestly this year we probably have a little quicker trigger as we try to also address the chronic absenteeism and things like that. So overall attendance numbers as a whole for the year pretty good. >> Questions? Sure. >> Thank you. Mr. Tony Jury, floor is yours, sir. CAO report item 6C. >> The high school completed SAT last week. Um, not only the the juniors SAT, but the high school also offered a PSAT to freshman and the SAT to sophomores to get those ready, you know, give them some experience before next year. Um,

in talking with um, Miss Thompson, we kind of like it better than the ACT as far as the platform and the the ease of proctoring that a lot less hiccups and hang-ups that we have with ACT. So, that was a good experience. Lot different test than ACT. Uh, I I think I heard students saying they liked it better than the ACT. They like taking it better. So, we'll see. We'll see how they did on it. and uh we'll get better as we go. It's a new experience. U we're in um in the throws of preparing for KSA. Our window is May 4th through the 21st. Uh we got our testing schedule hammered out today. Um with having a an ATSI school in the district, we're doing some reviews and some communicating with some KDE folks.

And one of the things that um I've been I don't know if I asked do but inspired to do encouraged to do is do a complete resource allocation review. Um and u one of the things that came in handy is that spreadsheet that we started last year has all ourus and contracts on it. So that makes it really handy. Um we've got all that in one spot. Now the next step is are those being effective? Are we spending money and getting some is is the juice worth the squeeze or is the squeeze worth the juice I guess they would say. Um or do we need to look at something else? And so with all those we're not only looking at u for example edge annuity that's the program we use to offer credit recovery courses.

We use that for like we don't have a Spanish teacher so we we have them set up to do that over there. There are a lot of companies that offer that kind of service. So, we're going to look at all the options and not just act like we got the best one. At the same time, when I called Ingenuity and said, you know, we're going to look at some other options. Suddenly, they had options we didn't know about. And so, we're we're learning some of the things that we could have been doing all along. And so my advice for everybody is to to to have a good relationship with those companies and ask a lot of questions because they put things out and don't tell you very often. So we need to uh figure that

out and use the if we're paying for something get get all we can out of it. We are in you know they you hear them say the dog days of summer. I think we're in the dog days of the spring semester. uh it's hard to stay focused and what I told principles last week or a couple weeks ago uh the the main purpose of a school district is academic and we have to stay focused on academic and and a lot of educational leadership things that I've been to and I hear people talk about it's it's like a 7525 75% focus on academics and 25% focus on management if you're a building leader. Uh in a district office, some of us have to do 100% management because that's our role. But uh I'm encouraging our principles

to to be 75% focused on academics during the day because it's really easy to u spend an hour on on something that's not going to make an impact in the classroom. And the classroom is where it is. It's where it's happening. Um, not to say those other things are not important. Those are the things that are flying in our principal's faces all the time. Those are the that's you hear the squeaky wheel gets the, you know, gets the grease. Those are the squeaky wheels. Um, but the classroom, that's the engine that's that's driving it. So, we have to, um, our role is to help encourage principles to do that. So, um, that's my report. Do you have any questions? >> Yes, sir. I got a quick question, Mr. Jury. Uh, you was talking about Spanish.

We didn't have a teacher. Have we looked into I know other school districts, other states and stuff and down south and some of those schools, they're having a a lot of success with it. Have we started looking at AI to instruct >> Spanish and other foreign languages? We we um actually in that we had a meeting today with with with Egenuity and they're bringing out a whole different array of products and in that array there's some AI features that we really like. Um so yeah, we're we're starting to look into that. So we we are then looking into using AI to start using it in place of people that we can't get hired in. >> I don't think so. I think Kentucky wouldn't approve that as a as a credit. Kentucky has to approve either

teacher or >> and so we can't ask for an exemption on that. >> Maybe. >> Have we tried it? >> No. >> We hadn't found anything AI wise that does that yet. >> Okay. So, >> I know like uh one of the top schools there in Texas, they're using AI to teach foreign language and and things and they're having phenomenal success with it. And from my understanding of it, what it does is it goes by the students ability and it tracks their ability and then it teaches it can pick up the AI can pick up the students learning abilities and then it >> basically changes the program for that student's ability as it goes. >> That that's kind of what was presented to us today. Takes somebody to manage it. >> yeah, I think AI

would make a great tool. I think we're probably a ways away from KD approving it in lie of >> a certified teacher. >> Right or wrong. >> Under the one House bill, Jake, I I think it's >> You can request a waiver. You request a waiver. I don't know Bill Grant, but you can request it. >> And if you know of a company that does that, just let us know. We'll reach out and be more than happy to have a conversation. >> Uh I'll get you a name, Mr. Orbin and Tony. I'll get you all a name of a company down there. I'll research it and see if we can't get name. >> Sounds good. When you say I think, you know, a lot of people think you get in that chat GPT and say,

"Build me a high school Spanish course and hit enter and >> off you go." You know, there's there's a whole lot more to it. So, takes somebody to manage that. >> And then, uh, you said that where we give the high school SATs. >> Yes. >> Uh, did we do any testing prior to that this year to get indicators on how whether we how we think we're going to come out on them. >> They they we continue to do the I Ready testing. Um continue to do that and we're looking for a good predictor of what they would do on SAT. Um >> what did it show >> the I Ready? >> Yes, sir. >> High school says they're sandbagging so that they could show improvement the kids. So, uh we're showing some improvement, not

what we'd like to see. And it's not a predictor on how they're going to do on SAT. >> Correct. Not at all. >> But in the past, would you say it's been a pretty good predictor on >> KSA? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I I predict we will move the needle. Will we move it far enough to um celebrate like we did this year? That's that's to be seen. Can we? Yes. Um our teachers working hard over there? Yes. Our students working hard? Yes. If they if they keep doing what they're doing this time next year, I guess maybe we'll get them earlier next year. But I think we'll the way they do that school accountability now with that uh growth versus negative growth or you know the opposite of growth, you get a double

whammy or a double plus. And I know that the new legislation's going to take that out. So, it's almost like we have to do twice as good as we did last year to even celebrate this coming year because it's a it's like you make a C and get an A or if you drop from a B to the C, you get a D. They they hit you twice with it. >> That's all I had, Mr. >> All right. Anything else? >> Thank you. >> Okay, moving on to item 6. Superintendent report, Mr. David Arvin. Uh just to uh further compliment the band, I know when we were at the district tournament a while back and even at the regional tournament, the uh uh band always does a fantastic job, has come such a long way.

Uh I get compliments from other people in districts about them all the time. Um, and it was neat to see, uh, even when we were playing, uh, Woodford County, how our band would do something and then their band would do something and then our band would applaud their band and theirs would kind of applaud ours. So, that was kind of a neat little dynamic to see. It's nice when you see that students from other schools uh, kind of coming around to do that and support each other. Um, other thing is before before this meeting tonight, we have our second mission vision meeting. Uh, so we're continuing to work uh on that. I've got some followup uh for the group that I'm hoping to get them Friday and we'll just continue to meet uh work and

refine until we get something to be able to bring to you all uh and present for a new mission and vision to guide us going forward. Miss Ashley, what's the hold up on that? >> No, nothing really. I mean, there's a lot of good ideas or good, you know, good word usage. We're just trying to put it together to >> vision. We're here to learn mission. We're here to graduate. >> Yeah, I know. Hardest. Would you say you're the hold up or? >> No, I'm defin I am definitely not the holdup, but I would be a holdup if that was it. >> Okay. >> So, you're not holding them back or anything? >> I hope not. Who knows? >> No, not at all. >> At this point, >> any uh anything else, Mr. Arvin? >>

No, that's all. >> Moving on to item 80. Did everybody get a chance to look at the SBDM minutes? >> Yes. >> Everybody get a chance to look at the HR actions? Item 6F. Moving on to item seven, consent agenda. I did have uh something pulled out of item 7F, but I'll get a motion to approve first. >> Motion to approve as is or or with this thing pulled. Oh, as is. Okay. >> Yeah, I'll move to approve consent agenda. >> Miss Becky so moves. >> A second. >> Miss Amanda seconds. I'm going to open it up for discussion. Uh under item 7F on a field trip request, we we've always encouraged people to get these in. And I was reading over one of them. They put the request in the day of uh excuse

me, after the last board meeting, but the field trip was before this board meeting. How How do you not know that you're going to do a field trip in seven days? thing is that is that rhetorical? >> Yes, sir. You want an answer? >> Oh, no. I'd like an answer on that. >> I would if I'm making an assumption on that, I would say they probably qualified. I know the field trip was select banned. Um, I can't speak to when the qualification was for that, what date. Um, my assumption would be once students qualified, then they got around, excuse me, getting getting the request in. Um, and that's just the timeline of of how that felt. >> So, they had to they didn't know prior to the fifth. I I guess my thing, Mr. Arvin,

I've noticed on a lot of these anymore and we're seem to be get more and more of them. They're being put in and we're having to approve them to say yes, let's go ahead and then we'll put it on the next consent item. It's like we're getting these put in. I'm being nice here. I'm thinking so. Be nice here and Jake. Don't kick me under the table. The uh it seems like we're starting to get into a pattern of well, let's not put it on the agenda. Let's throw it on there after, but we're going to take the trip before the next board meeting. You ain't going to tell me that on some of these we've done here lately, they did not know that that was coming up. communicate >> well >> that's a thing

we can obviously reach out and talk to him about to you know about making sure we get those in early and something we can definitely keep an eye on >> and as you know well know in the past and I don't think Eddie and Simone was here there was a lot of stuff that we every year they done the same field trips but then they'd wait till the last minute put it in and that's why we opened it up the board did to say hey if you know you do this every year you know you're going to be doing it go ahead and get paperwork in for to be preapproved just like used on the I use this example in the past that comes to mind fruit sales farm machinery show >> that's why we

decided to go to two meetings so we cash there would never be >> yes but I I just wanted to bring that to everybody's attention that starting to get back into a pattern of falling back the way it used to be that's all I had on that uh have a motion to second any other discussion on this. All in favor of approving I >> I >> oppos same sign. Motion carries 50. Item eight recommend action new business 8A re review approveou for UFC food ministries for 2026. Al so move. >> I second. >> And uh real quick on that Mr. already talked about it or somebody else we will get money back from them this year. The only question I had on that is uh it said if we had children in school basically they

was going to use our kids at school be able to build on that. Can you explain that? So, I think probably what you're you're talking about is so they're going to start running this in June, which last year they did not start till July till our summer feeding program was over. Uh this year they're going to start in June once school gets out. And then we will work with them and make sure that the students that are participating in our summer feeding program in the month of June are not double counted. And so they but that is something that they will keep track of you know whenever they're taking food. So if a student's eating here when if that family also requests the basket to be delivered to the home then they won't get as

much because the student is getting uh getting fed here uh because we don't want to get in trouble with the federal government and be trying to double bill uh for for a student. Okay. And then once we get into July, then the summer feeding program's over. >> And so they don't have to worry about >> I'm ass then >> cuz way I've uh understood that when I read it that they would double bill. >> Well, I don't know that they're double billing. There is the last section there says they're going to pay the school district $30 per kid, which I first read that like what the heck they paying us for? But we are doing stuff for that $30. There's a whole section in there like we're gonna advertise for them using the one call

system. Correct. >> So I mean I don't know. I mean they must have more money than I would think for a charity, but they are paying the school $30 per child. I mean that's what the thing says. >> Oh, I'm 100% for this. I just wanted to make sure we was clear on the >> Yeah, but it it's $30 per child for every child whether they're a school student or not. Right. >> I get they're doing it for us to, you know, advertise for them. I mean there's a couple other things. We agreed to hand, you know, distribute a QR code or something. I believe it's me and somebody down here was talking and then >> I just would think they'd used to wait for food >> and uh we talked about it before the

what was it first year they ran out of food >> the first the very first time they were here they they ran out and we're very short so they they doubled what they brought the second time >> and I forgot how many thousands of those. So there's going to be good money in it. I'm not I'm not at all against this. I just wanted to make sure we was clear on the >> our summer feeding program versus theirs that we didn't get caught in the crossfire there. >> Yep. >> Yeah. It's payment to us for services rendered. I mean, it's like $40,000. >> Yes, sir. It is. Be more than that if we can get everybody out and do some good advertising. >> That's all I had. Anybody else? Have a motion, a second. All

in favor? >> Opposed? Motion carries. 5 item make B review approve second KT's offers fiscal year 2026 for $10,855 that is a mansion we can do it over a one year or three year >> so move >> Miss Becky so moves >> second >> for one year or for three years that's what I was going to ask >> it's it's one year or you can pay it in three quarters of the year I normally transfer it all at once >> correct >> is that your motion motions for one year. >> Yeah. John, the way it is, it's like she was saying, uh, we get that money, we match it. She do it over three and but she's always done it. As soon as she gets, she moves the money over. >> Call the question. >>

Yeah. Mr. Jones calls the question. All in favor signify by saying I. I. >> Oppos. Same sign. Motion carries 50. Thank you, John. Item 8 C review approved adtech agreement for of -ray services for 2627 also move seconds. All in favor sign hearing no discussion. All in favor signify by saying I >> opposed. Motion carries 50. Item 8 D review approve final site proposal for three or fiveyear contract. No contract attached. What that is the uh that's for the website but there was no contract attached to that to read. They just had their how much it cost for three years, five years. I just wanted to make sure in that contract that it stated that the board had the right that that contract would be reviewed every year and the board retained the right to

get it uh basically eliminate that contract same as all our other contracts here. And you know if they got >> I don't I mean I don't have it. Nobody g me >> well you you talked to me about that after the agenda went out. So I mean that it would be the same contract that we're on currently. So, you're admitting you don't talk to me about the agendas? >> No, I do, but I'm saying we talked about this after it had already it had already been sent out. So, um but no, I can pull up the current contract that we have. >> So, you would think that being that you and I talked about it after the you you say you're not prepared for this. >> Well, I didn't know if you wanted to just

look at that part now or if you wanted to go ahead and add that on. >> So, you got a copy of it for us to look at? Not right now, but I >> I mean I think this Judah guys the renewal contact. I mean I I wouldn't want to look at the old one. I'd want to look at the new one. Tell them send the new one. But I mean I I don't care. I mean you know you could approve it subject to me reviewing it. I mean I don't know how timely this thing is. >> How time sensitive is it? >> It's not. We can do it. We can wait a meeting. It's not the end of the world. If you just want to say >> motion the table. >> I'll second to

file it on the table. All in favor signify by saying I. >> I. >> Same sign. Mot uh item is tabled. Item AD review. >> I think to give you instructions or whatever. I think we're only supposed to do one year contracts. >> We can do it. >> Well, it's one year there. You know, there's a few loopholes. You know, lawyers get paid come up with a few loopholes. So, you can you can put a clause in there that says if we don't if the board does not allocate the money the following year, we're we can automatically get out of it. >> That's the clause we want. >> Yeah. And so like your printer contracts you I mean when they started making those mult they were the first ones based my experience that started you

know having clauses like that because essentially as long as you allocated the money then they were guaranteed to get it. So >> okay next >> item 8E review approve uh migration from Microsoft Outlook to Google to Gmail. I I'll take a motion, a second, then we'll discuss. >> Motion to approve. >> Miss Becky so moves. >> A second. >> Miss Ashley seconds. Floor is open for discussion. >> Do I have to have 25 character password for this? >> Here's >> No, that's a that's a statement. Okay. >> And and this came up now. Uh truth be told, uh Mr. Levelville has bugged me about this for a while. >> So you haven't told his truth on this in the past? No, he's he's always bugged me about it, but I asked him this year to

uh to just kind of run the numbers and see what that would be. Um because again, we talk about tighter budgets and everything. So, you know, we're all always taking a look at the different things that we're using. and when he came back to to maintain the status quo uh going into next year, we're looking at, you know, roughly between 42 and $43,000 uh in expense for all of our services currently with Microsoft and Google. uh for us to switch that cost would go down to $25,000 and $8,000 of that is a migration fee where they help move everything from Microsoft Outlook to Gmail. Now, truth be told, I'm not a Gmail fan. I'm, you know, used Outlook my whole life as it relates to work things and I've had a personal Gmail account. I'm

not a fan of it. But that being said, uh, and the thing I told him, my personal preferences aren't worth $25,000 a year, which is what the savings would be in every year after the first year going forward, which is why I told him to just go ahead and price all this. Uh, and it doesn't mean we can we will completely be away from Microsoft, but that total expense within will go from roughly $36,200 down to about $10,200. So because there are some licenses that we do have to keep for a few things over here at the board office and uh some computers I believe over in the high school. So >> yeah, >> people are learning how to do that more frequently. From what I understand from Matt's email, let's just say 30 minutes

protocol where Microsoft Outlook is three days. and see how many of those emails perhaps can do that. >> Yeah. So, so there's some benefits to that on on their end as well. So, savings to the district next year will be about 175 going forwards. You're looking at almost $26,000 a year in savings to do this. So, that's not worth my preference and outlook over G. >> I'm going to be a no on this. I'll just tell you all now and I'm going to explain why and remind the board of something. Uh we going to move back to state testing when we was using Google translate and state department of education them told us no we couldn't do it no more because all their concerns about data mining from Google and stuff. You all remember that

they went on about all know because they data mine everything else. So, I'm a no because why in the world would we switch from something? Yes, it is a 25,000 savings, but we're going to allow Google to data mine our children's information and things if it was we wasn't even connected to internet with Google translates we was using on the tablets. Our English uh learning students even not connected as you all recall KDE was against us even using that because their fears of data mining. And I believe me and Jake both has emails that I I can confirm their uh issues with it. And I I agree with them for once. You all Yes, you all heard that right. I agree with KDE for once on Google. I just don't think and you all know

I 100% support whatever you decide but I I just wanted you all to know why will be a note. >> Is this something that has to have an answer tonight? >> I don't know that it does. I think we could wait. >> No, >> I don't think there's a reason. >> I think John just said he moved the table. >> Yeah. Well, just real quick, I was going to point out that, you know, I'm doing this if you don't do it. I mean, I hear Har's concern. You know, I think they're going to say that their email is a little bit more secure than translate services, but on principle, I get what you're saying. But if you're going to do this, I mean, at some point they're going to have won a contract. You know,

this is like the last one. We've got a proposal on here. We could approve the proposal, but I'm sure at some point they're going to want you to sign something. So, if they're going to table it, you know, maybe in in the school's interest to go ahead and tell them, hey, you know, you only gave us the proposal. At some point, I'm sure you're going to want to sign a contract. You presumably, maybe not. But if you do, send it to us so we can take a look at it and approve them both at the next. >> Okay. >> Instead of just approving this, you know, proposal, I'm sure they're going to want >> need to be yay or nay pretty soon because you may have to use summertime, Tony, to be able to teach

teachers how to use something a little bit different or no time. >> So you can table it. >> There will be a learning curve. >> You have to table it if if you are comfortable. I mean, I just don't really have >> Well, and and I will say this, it probably would be better. Matt's had somebody in his family had surgery today, so that's why he's not here. So, it might be better for to let him have an opportunity to speak to you guys about it as well. >> And Miss Micole, Miss Mico, Miss Nicole, >> a couple weeks just to research the special education security for students. I didn't realize that it was going to get voted on today. That's probably my fault. Um, but I just need some time. JCPS did recently switch

over to Gmail. So I'd like some time to reach out to their director of special ed just to make sure that you know with Outlook we had gone away from we were able to put students names and emails because of it being so secure and that really helped us open well student ID numbers too but it did help with open records request. So I just I would like a few weeks to check make motion to table next meeting that way it'll get pulled from the table. Uh, I'll withdraw my motion on item or Miss Becky, can you withdraw your motion on item 8E to review approve? >> Yes. >> So, she's reviewing her second your motion to approve and you're going to retract your motion to approve. >> Correct. >> Okay. All right. And then

uh John moved the ta to table item 8e. John moved to table. I will second. All in favor signify of tableabling ae signify by saying I >> I >> opposed. Mot motion table carries 5 till the next board meeting. Item 8F re review approved one key MOA for mental/behavioral health services. I also move >> second. >> Mr. Jones seconds hearing. No discussion on this. All in favor signify by saying I. >> I. >> Oppos. Same sign. Motion carries 50 item 8G. Approve first reading of Senate bill resolution 47 into board policies and procedures. I will read this so we can do it properly. I'm going to go fast so everybody pay attention. Might sound like an auction but hey we'll get it done here. Uh from the Senate Commonwealth of Kentucky 2026 regular session Senate

resolution 47 Friday March 13, 2026. Senator Dary Reed introduced the following resolution which was sponsored by Senator West, Senator Lindseay Tenser, Senator Jay Williams and ordered to be printed a a resolution reaffirming authority local elected board school boards to govern school districts through policy and procedure in accordance with state law. Whereas the Commonwealth of Kentucky has long recognized that local elected board members of education are best positioned to govern school districts in a manner responsive to their communities. And whereas the Kentucky revised statute clearly vests governing authority, policymaker power and oversight responsibilities in local boards of education. And whereas KRS 160 160 establishes that members of local board of education are elected by voters of their districts and are directly accountable to the public. They serve and whereas KS160 290 assigns local boards of education

general control and management of the public school within their district including the adoption of policy rules procedures necessary for effective operation. Whereas KRS 160340 authorizes local boards of education adopted enforce policy governing personnel students operation and administrative consent with state law and whereas KRS1 158645 and 1586453 recognizes that while statewide standards exist local boards retain discretion and implementation through local adopted policy procedures and whereas recent actions directives and practices whether internal whether intentional inadvertent have risk blurring and diminishing the lawful authority of a local elected state boards by bypassing, undermining and disregarding duly adopted board policies. And whereas preservation of local control through elected governance is essential to transparent, accountability, parental trust, and const principles of a representative govern. Now therefore, be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of

Kentucky, section one. The Senate hereby reaffirms the authority of the locally elected boards of education as the controlling governor structure under state law to govern and school district through duly adopted policy procedure. Section two, the Senate reaffirms that paragraph one, an an individual administration, employee, external agency, non-elected body shall not supersede, disregard, or act contrary to local school boards adopted policies unless expressly authorized by acts of the general assembly, federal law, or lawful local board of education actions. Paragraph two. All district operations, administrative decision enforcement actions shall be conducted in strict accordance with policies adopted by the local board of education consistent with Kentucky revised statute. Paragraph three, the roles of the superintendent administration are to carry out and administer local board of education policies not to create a de facto policy through unilateral action.

And paragraph 4, any practice that circumvents local board of education authority or excludes the board from its statuto roing governance is inconsistent with Kentucky law public accountability. Section three, the resolution shall serve as the Senate's formal affirmation of local schoolboard authority. Section 4. The clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy list resolution to Aaron Reed and copies to the Kentucky Department of Education 300 sar fifth floor Frank Kentucky 40601 for distribution to each school district. Signed Senate President Robert Styver committee committees Rean and Jay Williams senators. So, I'm going to be a no vote on this and it's it's only because I just don't think politics belongs in the boardroom. Um, and I think even with this or without it, everything in the resolution is true anyway. Uh, so anyway, I just

kind of have that mindset that we don't need to get into whatever the Senate's doing until it becomes law and we have to follow the the law. Any other discussion? Motion to approve first reading. >> I think it just reaffirms what already is. >> I would agree with that. It does reaffirm that there's anything new there. >> I would agree with that. >> So, is it a mandate? We have to reaffirm what already is. >> I mean, it's not a mandate. >> So, we're just we're just reaffirming it because it's Yep. been done out there. I don't see where we doing anything positive or negative myself. >> I mean, it's not a mandate. It's a robot great bag. It's a reaffirmation of what is. >> It says we still are what we've always been. >>

Yep. >> Lot lot of words to say that. But there >> Oh, I know. >> I'm good. However, everybody else wants to go. I believe we still are what we've always been. >> I believe the same thing. John, >> that's your motion. >> I have no motion. You make a motion. >> Yeah. I motion to >> to approve first. Ready? >> Have no problem. >> Did you? >> I'll I'll second it. Thank you. >> That'll move us on. That'll call our question. >> Correct. >> John called the question. Uh I move John second. All in favor signify saying I. >> I. >> All opposed. >> I. >> 41. And Miss Becky. Uh I agree with what you said there. The uh and it is a ballot point. What John said is a ballot point. All

it's doing is reaffirming what we've already done. But usually when you see these It's kind of a I guess would be a good way to put it, Jake. A signal of what's to come. >> I think what John said is the best way to say it. It's a reaffirmation. Yeah, >> that's all it is. The Senate reaffirmed it. I don't know. We're reaffirming it. You don't have to I mean, yeah, I don't know anybody else. I mean, >> item nine, >> presentation, recommendation regard regarding the proposed school staffing plan and district budget. >> I do. You need to approve your 8H that you added to the agenda. >> Oh yes. >> Propane and fuel bids. >> I make a motion document that we approve those. >> Well, we need to open because we got two

of them. One of them. >> We haven't even opened them yet. >> I thought we No, we originally I think we just had one. Jody, >> was it whatever it was? >> Two propane. >> Yeah. One fuel, two propane. Uh my motion is to accept a fuel bid uh with clarification of the >> better open >> $10,000 a gallon. >> This one here is from survant propane from a by Michael Hilton manager Williamstown Kentucky. Propane at a dollar 1.689 689 price per gallon delivered to G County schools as needed including tanks. Again, it's a $1689. Next propane bid. Maybe I missed out on something. >> I think it's toward more towards the front. I think the propane's in the front than it gets into the diesel. >> I say cuz somebody two or three pack

it out before they put it. >> And uh Feral Gas. Uh Ken Lafy, district manager, Sparta, Kentucky. A $1579. >> Dollar. So the one's $1689. $1579. I move award the bid to Feral Gas LP. >> Second >> for $1579. Put a W on here. I'll get that straightened out for you in a minute, Jody. >> You got a motion in a second, then? >> Yes. I was just going to do say thank you, didn't >> you? You already made the motion. >> Yeah, but he made a motion to approve this one, too. I'm just going to read it because it's the only bid we got. >> Don't make things complicated. Attorneys want to complicate things and then charge you straighten it out. M. Jane. Yes, >> Miss Jane. Miss Mary Jane, you spike me. >>

You spike me. >> This one diesel. >> Yeah. 32239. Transport. >> Is that 39 or 29? >> No, that's 39. 322 39. He He doesn't put the middle on his three. >> Okay. Number two, low sulfur diesel fuel transport a load >> 29839 >> and what is that >> 24 see I don't really the transport load for the gasoline is going to be 246 adding 24 that's how you get to 322 it's probably a delivery figure >> yes I I move after she gets this >> I will have him verify the numbers before I just have him verify so I know he sends us the right bill amount on the bill. >> So that'll be 3 hours and 22. >> Yeah, it looks like 3 >> It's 323 3 I'm sorry 32239 and 24620 >>

for the gasoline. >> Mhm. >> So uh I'm uh John moved to approve the two fuel bids. Who second it? >> The the Lowe's propane bid and the one fuel bid. >> Yes. Yeah. Okay. Federal. Yes. Clean that up. Make a motion that we accept the feral gas bid of a dollar 1.579 on propane and a motion that we accept who is that >> Dennis who is >> bid on pro diesel 3.2239 and gas at 2.4620. >> Good motion. I'm going to second that. >> Mander second. >> All in favor? I. >> All opposed. >> 50. >> You all can contact them whenever you want. I Well, I said do it. Item uh nine resation regarding proposed staffing plan and district budget for 2627 school year. Uh correct me on any of these numbers. Let's

finance director the >> is there an attachment? I apologize. I didn't see >> I don't see anything on numbers. >> Okay. There's really not a lot on numbers because last year, if you all remembered when we done the 10% raise across the board. It was 10% plus freeze everything for three years. So, as far as the salaries, I'm going to recommend the board we do what we said last year. Leave everything where they're at this year other than the normal yearly and normal steps. >> Okay. I got to look at her. She's my finance over here. She better than I am. >> I'm glad >> now she's just more tighter. Hey, you're you're she just won't spend as much money as I will. >> And then uh the superintendent had sent a thing over some

of this is once the numbers don't justify it. Uh current numbers reflection reflect it. Okay. that uh let me start with the lower Megan and asked for another kindergarten was it >> teacher and aid >> numbers don't justify it if we hire another one we're automatically going to have to hire another uh teachers aid because of the law that was passed what was it last year before >> yeah they're required to have an aid >> yes so I'm going to recommend to the board we just leave that alone this year the Uh, Mr. Arvin had also now I'm going to let I'm going let you speak on this much. Nikki, if you don't mind the uh spiritual education staffing >> Nicole. >> Yeah, Nicole, I'm sorry. I was thinking Nikki. Y'all spiked me. My mind

shot today. I'm serious. >> I answered. >> I was thinking Nikki and then I couldn't think your name and I was like, >> I feel worse that I knew who he was talking about. I'll tell you about Mary J. >> My mind shot. >> The problem is I too. So >> I've been my mind has gone 100 miles an hour today on stuff. >> I'm disagreeing. >> Floor is yours. >> We have doing paperwork correctly and identifying kids sooner who come in through Kentucky early intervention services. We have an increase of preschool students with IEPs. This time um of the year. Last year when I came in, there were only two students with IEPs that were not speech pathology or just speech only in our preschool program. So, we're going to have an increase. Right

now, we have one and a half special education resource teachers at lower. Um, we're those teachers can have a 15 case load student list. And with the increase, we have seven preschool students that will be moving into kindergarten with IEPs who have been identified correctly. So, that would put one and a half teachers over. So, asking for an additional 0.5 for special ed teachers to make that two full special education teachers at lower. >> Does it go? >> Is that just another person? >> Yes, >> it's it's it's really one because there's a there's one that's a five there. There's somebody that splits the upper and lower. >> That person is going to go to the lower and we would need to replace. >> So, because right now we got one and a half and

one teacher. >> Yeah, >> we got three. We need four. >> Yes. We're not splitting our teachers. We're not cutting them in half. >> Yeah. >> And then the uh and then two the you would and I believe we have it on there every year. The school psychology position estimated salary of 94,000 was another ask on there. >> Yeah, we got approved through KDE. Um great thing. I didn't even have to apply. They just gave us access to expanded Medicaid billing. with that expanded Medicaid billing really does one thing for our school districts and for all school districts. It allows a school psychologist to be able to service all students, not just specialized students. And then we can bill um up to five students that a school psychologist sees a day that are nonie for

those services. >> And you all are sure that everyone you have over there this year will be coming back next year. special advice. >> So far, I've only got in one retirement um potential for next school year. >> You don't ever know till >> right. >> Yeah. School starts. >> So, it's our intent to I mean our intent forms everyone who said that they intend to be re-mployed. And as far as uh I believe uh I'm reading here um >> from what was discussed and to discontinue the current contract to school site cost of 55,000 you're want to add the one at 94 >> we would do away with >> and abolish the >> contract school site >> yes coordinator's position resulting in additional 45,000 savings. So, you're just want to take that money and

add it to the one position if I'm reading this correct >> to service. >> But also, I believe it was >> the numbers we looked at, there's uh because of where you've got all that straightened out now, our seat numbers was off down there, wasn't they? Would you like to explain that to the board? >> Yes, we are sitting at um right now 17% of our total student population is special education. Um last year we only received federal seek and IDA money for about 9%. Um so we got in all of our paperwork cleaned up and we will be getting full funding seatwise and from IDA for all 17%. >> And the uh >> and if we put that into student numbers that would what would our lowend be? What would our low student number

right now? Basically what I'm trying to show the board here she could pay for this position. she can pay what she's wanting to do here. Uh what was there? You all been the way the numbers have been done in the past. We've been getting shorted what >> 45 students. >> Yes. And seek funding a year. >> Okay. You lost me though on So we're going to abolish a position. >> Yes. So the preschool coordinator position that we had that individual uh resigned. >> Okay. >> And so >> So it's empty. So, we are going to abolish abolish that position which is at the previous person's salary around a $45,000 savings and not rehire if you approve the school sites a position that currently we're paying about $55,000 a year for for somebody to do a

third of the work that the person we would bring in is going to be able to do plus the person that we're going to bring in like she was mentioning can also u bill Medicaid for services that they can provide for students as well. So that will be a net positive. >> Okay. >> For the district. >> Let me get clarity on that. >> And with the monies that she has coming in, what my recommendation to the board on this would be would be to approve these two positions with the understanding that as long as the positions was paying for theirel >> with the savings and stuff she's got through grants and other things. As long as those positions are paying for theirel, my recommendation to the board will be to approve these with the

understanding that if they ever get to where they're not paying for theirel, >> the general fund will pick it up. >> Correct. >> And that that would be my recommendation on that one. >> The ne uh can we go back to the Megan thing? >> Megan wants one more teacher. >> Yes. >> And which means we'd have to have an aid. >> Correct. numbers. >> What's your all's What's your all's thoughts on that? Why does she think she needs it? And >> it's it's you know, it in a kindergarten classroom. I mean, obviously lower numbers are better. There are two people in there. Uh again, I speak from having a spouse that's a kindergarten teacher. Uh but right now, they're kind of looking at about projecting about 22 to 23 kids in a class. Um

you know, >> how many classes do we have right now? four right now. >> Four. >> So 22 times four, we got about 88. >> Yeah. >> Roughly roughly projected to come in. Um >> we got got 92 is what uh Eddie says we got here. >> Well, that's right now. That's So this is just kind of going off projections for next year. >> Next year 88. >> This is something that we might come back in August. That's what and look at as those numbers come in. Maybe there's a big jump. Maybe maybe this is a big group, but maybe it's not. But just the way it sits right now, it's with, you know, tight budgets and everything, it's it's a tough ask. >> Okay. So, we have 92. We're projecting 88. She's wanting an

additional teacher. We we don't hear that we're having problems with our current staffing. >> No. >> So, okay. I just if we're going to tell her no, I want to know why we're going to tell her no. >> She ask every year. >> Okay. >> Well, >> I think we revisit it. every year. Definitely definitely something that we'll look at. >> I will tell Megan she is consistent every year since I've been on the board and she's been principal over there. She she always ask >> standing order. >> Are they telling you anything throughout the year of we can't do our job properly because we don't have enough or >> not this year. So if but again if numbers were to creep up you know and it it get to that point and we felt

like those classes were getting too big definitely bring that back to you guys. The way we've always left this is during the school years and stuff they see a need the boards always said when we done cleaned everything up over the we've done it only four years ago now since coming into our fourth year while >> we said as we the if they seen a need then he could come to the board and we would fill that need. you try to project because the teachers are looking for jobs during the summer. >> We wait till August and think that's probably the pool is sort of rolls around in September, but we're right there on that cusp. >> Kindergarten is just always tough to project. >> What is our open enrollment for that? For kindergarten, >>

it opens up July one. >> Okay. >> How many do you typically put in a kindergarten classroom? I think cap's up to around 24 25 >> and we're at 22. >> So we're we actually have a few kids to play with. >> We got a few to play with. >> Okay. I just But when you tell somebody no, I like to know why we tell them no. I I don't like to be type of person that's saying no until you make me say yes. I'd rather be a yes person to have to say no. And sounds like no. I always remember John when somebody tells you no, at least you know where to start at in negotiation to get them to yes. >> All right, just clarification. Thanks. That's all I got. >> And then

the uh >> stay on that first page. >> Huh? >> There's only the only other one on there on the front is with uh having a retirement in October. >> Yeah. um for a special education teacher. I really don't want to try and hire a special ed teacher in October >> because it's just when it when they're that's what I guess when they it's probably when they started. >> So you're asking for three people. >> That one is in lie of that individual once they submit paperwork that officially says they are retiring in October. then we would just ask to be able to hire somebody for August, September, October. And then once that person retires, then we're essentially, you know, we're just hiring that spot early because we don't want to wait till October to

try and hire the their replacement. >> Well, I have a question. If you do that and the person don't retire, then what happens? >> Well, we're not going to do it unless they submit paperwork. >> Okay. >> Submit their retirement paper. >> Yeah. Once they once they submit their retirement paperwork, then that is the ask. >> Basically, you're wanting to hire somebody early, but if for some reason >> the person decides not to retire, then that person don't have a job that you hired early. >> Yeah. 100%. >> Okay. I I would recommend the board I would Yes. on that also. That way it gives you time to, you know, get it out there. >> Is that the upper elementary? >> The rest of us, I don't think have the doc the paperwork. >> I

just got this So I assume we're going building by building. We've talked about >> Well, yeah, that's that's kind of just the needs overall >> and then the uh >> the middle and high were flat. Yes, >> there was there was nothing. >> So there' be no changes. >> No changes. >> These are really just kind of between the upper and lower. >> And then something the uh Did you want to talk about the >> Yeah. So, um, you know, there's there's potential, uh, again, and and in in talking with Mr. Davis about this, and I've spoken with some of you about it for to offer some different pathways. Uh, we've talked with KDE, uh, worked with Jake on how we could potentially work this out to maybe create some adjunct positions, uh, where it's

kind of, you know, like we're basically paying people part-time to come and instruct, uh, to be able to add some career pathways. one uh that we've kind of gotten the farthest down the road with is the firefighter uh ENT certification pathway. Um and you know the big thing with that is when when we do this it's going to be a cap the number like we're going to know exactly what it is. This individual will get so much per hour. We know how many days they're going to work. Boom. Uh projecting. Um, that's the thing, you know, and in talking with Linda, she thinks we might have to there might be some retirement things in there, but just salary alone, um, you know, it it would be about $14,800 is what that would be for somebody

to come in and teach two periods of debt >> if we don't have to pay into their firefighter retirement. >> If there's retirement that has to go with that, again, as soon as I know that information, I would give it to you. But, uh, you know, while that is something that I think would be great for our students, there's also the potential to maybe do some stuff with a culinary pathway or a law and policing pathway. I want to wait and see what the obviously the legislature does with the budget uh because it is very tight right now. Uh, and this is not a decision that has to be made today. Uh, that's something that we can revisit later on. uh that that's something in the works that we've been trying to do uh when

talking about potential exemptions that we might have to file or do some things under that, you know, Senate Bill 207 to give us the ability to offer targeted pathways to our students and not have to fill out a full day. um you know and and KD has been very receptive to that, but again we want to make sure that the money is there and uh we just want to see what the budget is ultimately going to be before we bring that up, you know, to you guys for a yay or nay or if it needs to be potentially pushed for a year. So, >> well, my recommendation on this is going to be to the board for now. Let's take a look at it uh after we see what the budget's going to do to

the state to legislation. Take a look at it then. Not basically my recommendation you all would be that on these career pathways of course yes we're going to do them the surveys on them. I think the number one thing that children was wanting on that survey Mr. or jury sent out uh culinary arts was number one wasn't it? And then I think firefighting was like the last. EMS was number two or three or EMT certification was number two or three I think it was. My recommendation to the board would be as we get more toward the end of the school year once we know what legislation is going to do with the budgets to let them come back to us then on that. >> I agree >> is what my recommendation will be on that.

And then the uh Mr. Jones had asked me to look at something and where you at on that Mr. Jones when he had asked me on the uh extracurricular summary schedules. >> Um I looked over your numbers. I think >> well >> we we talked about that briefly and again I I think once we get the state budget, you know, I think that's probably the best time to look at that. Was there something sent out on that? Did I miss that too? >> No, no, that's just something that that we had done before. And again, I don't want to do it without everybody getting a chance to see it. I know John and I had worked on that before. Okay. >> Um we just looked at bumping up the extracurricular some, but we we actually

did all that work before everybody got a 10% raise >> and then the filling was kind of you got a 10% raise for your number one job. Kind of took care of whatever raise you maybe needed. So, we just kind of tabled it amongst ourselves until this year. >> Yeah. >> So, we're we're just revisiting last year's numbers and whether or not we want to bounce those up >> because uh last year when we done, if you remember, I believe it was cheerleading. We took them from one season to two and a half seasons on the pay. >> Uh we added an assistant coach there and we done one or two other positions. >> And the uh like I said, I haven't seen the new numbers on this yet. the uh >> the only thing

I would ask is not sharing them >> that I have not bounced off anybody. Um I think we should consider or give some contemplation about their huddle expense being a board expense. Um they're paying the athletic department's paying almost $13,000 a year to be able to videotape football, basketball, volleyball, soccer. I thought we had a um video team and stuff now. >> Well, they they bought you all bought the equipment, >> but then there's a yearly fee for every one of them. >> Wondering the board approved to purchase that equipment. >> They may have given you the equipment. >> Yeah. I don't know. Could you >> It's had to have been It's been in the last four years because back when I was coaching, you had to you had to go everywhere you went with

your own camera. Could you >> I think athletics bought it >> and to be it's just that's a major expense of >> for the huddle up. >> Yeah. And it's kind of a continuing it's almost like a grounds type expense. >> So is it uh so did the athletic department enter the school district into a contract with Huddle? >> No, they don't. >> Okay. You don't have to use huddle, but that I think that equipment was sponsored by KHSAA and they may have put all that equipment in your building. Uh I would have assumed that you would have okay that to done. I don't know. >> I don't remember, John. That's why I'm serious on this and that's why I'm asking. >> Um it's pretty universal across almost every one of the schools. That doesn't

mean it's right not to have had it approved, >> but I not for today either, Amanda. I don't I don't think it's something you want to approve today, but it's just down the road. >> Um I I don't really think we want kids doing fundraisers to be able to pay for >> the video service. >> Yeah. I think it's something that >> we would want our kids to have that opportunity. >> Would you say that's about 13,000? >> Yeah. It's just something to look at and I think when you do all those extra that would be something that you might lump in there >> that that might be something but >> but uh what I'll do is I'm going to get this put more of a formal thing. I just kind of wanted them to

give it uh special education everybody kind of have an idea of what we're going to approve not approve something else uh had a lot of the teams contact me and things where they enter these tournaments and stuff and I'll use golf for example I think they've got like four or five scramles coming up not only them but softball where they enter spring tournaments and things would be opposed to setting up Uh I guess we would need to do it and I look at her over she get ready to throw something at me. Uh >> basically where the board would not cover like cover the expenses to enter these. So I don't want to say that they're getting to practice earlier and things. They're just however I don't know how to word it to basically if

say a boys golf team, girls golf team, softball teams, they got this tournament coming up. Well, it cost them to enter that tournament. Jod's over shaking her head yes because she knows I just donated somebody from Grant County for a tournament they're trying to raise money for for the entry fees. Is there any way we could set an account up where the board might would pick the cost up for basketball for to enter these tournaments and things? Would that be legal? >> I think >> I don't think it'd be illegal by handling 100% re matter on what we're paying for. But I think you would want to have the athletic director set you up with a budget of >> what those are out there. An idea what you're getting into. >> True. >> Can I

Can I make a Let's let us do some research. Let's let's find out what it cost last year. The um >> Right. And I guess that's what I'm asking. I'm not asking to approve this tonight. I'm just saying is it legal for us to do that? >> Yes, that's what I'm trying >> being that it would be out of out of season. We have two what they call two activity funds. There's a fund 25 which is what is run in a separate bank account and it's all the athletics and the clubs and that money runs through there and I make an entry once a year at the end of June 30th. Whatever that bank balance is is what I put in our total budget fund. All the details are run in another program. We also

have what's called a fund 21 which is district activity fund. that fund that the district manages, not the athletic department, but that the district manages is um much more flexible and we would be able to pay for those things. Anything that's connected to students >> and and they won't just be able they will have to submit these just like they do field trip request or stuff. So, we would know what we was approving. >> It's not like they could just go spend money out of that fund. We we would have to basically where they submit field trip request and all that. They just basically would submit a >> you could put I mean it's like any other fund that I set up. I can put restrictions on all that movie money, you know, title, tournament,

you know, softball. >> You could just put a lump sum in to make it fair across like this is what we're giving because some of them obviously are a lot more than others. And then your AD would need to be involved in how that split up >> between the AD and you >> anything anything for athletics would >> we're going to get ready get a good accounting of our athletic department it's coming >> okay >> I'll just let the board know now >> because it's well the >> yeah are we taking any action on this or this is >> I just wanted to put another leaf on the Yes. All we done was uh that way they can know what the budget for going forward, what we're looking at, what they're uh we're going to

approve on staffing allocations, and then I'll have a formal motion. We can have that ready on next board meeting. >> Mhm. >> And then like he said on the EMT career pathway, we'll look at that later. The uh extracurricular salary schedule, even though we froze that, I agree with John and everyone. We need to take a look at that because I know we're well under some of the other districts and then we can get that fund added. And moving on. So you know which way we're going there, Mr. Arvin? >> Yes. >> Moving on to item 10 10A. Uh I need a motion to enter executive section. Yes. To KRS61.810 810 paragraph 1 subsection S and KRS paragraph 1 subsection C discuss which ma the oh my lord to discuss matters which may lead to

the discipline dismissal or expulsion of a Gton County student and to discuss uh proposed litigation >> say proposed or pending litigation >> I was getting ready to add that Jake but thank you proposed and pending litigation by or on behalf half of the district board of education and that is my fault that uh when I wrote that for Miss Jody for whatever reason that uh propo yes but anyway I so move >> second >> Mr. Jones seconds. All in favor signify by saying I. >> All oppose 5-0. We are now in executive session.
