like to call the meeting to order. Please join us if you'd like to flag the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation indivisible andice for all. Welcome everybody. It's nice to see you here. All right, we are going to start with an approval of the meeting agenda. We need a second to do so. I make a motion to approve the meeting agenda. We have a motion and a second. All in favor say I. Again, same sign. The agenda is accepted. Um, our first order of business for this organizational meeting is we have to determine um the chair for this upcoming year 2026. So, I'm asking for nominations from the chair of the school board. Nominate Lori B. I'll second it. So, we have a nomination for me. Um,
I'm going to call for nominations once again. Do we have any other nominations for chair of the school board? And I'm required to ask a third time. Do we have any other nominations for the chair of the school board? Hearing none, we don't need to vote and um I'll remain the chair of the school board for 2026. Thanks for trusting me with the job, everybody. Um we'll move on and we need nominations for the vice chair of the school board for 2026. I'll I'll nominate Jeff as the vice chair. I'll second that. Okay. So, we have a nomination for Jeff as the vice chair. I'm calling for any other nominations for vice chair of the school board. I mean, it's pretty prestigious, right? Pretty much model. I don't have to ask a third. We have
to ask a third time. Is there any other nominations for the vice chair of the school board? Hearing none. Um Jeff Lynman will remain our vice chair of the school board for 2026. Thanks Jeff. Um I'm calling for nominations for the clerk of the school board for 2026. I nominate Jen Henz Stadler as the clerk. We have a nomination for Jen. Do we have any other nominations for clerk of the school board? I'll ask a third time. Do we have any nominations for clerk of the school board? I actually read we don't need a second, but we'll take it because then we'll be safe. Hearing no other nominations, Jen Ken will be our clerk for the 2026 school year. Thanks, Jen. Again, it comes with a lot of extras. Um, now I'm looking for a
nomination to the treasurer of the school board for 2026. second if you need one. We have a nomination in the second for Brenda. Are there any other nominations for treasur? And I'll ask the third nominations for treasure. Hearing none, Brenda Carlson will be our esteemed treasur for the 2026 school year. Thanks, Brenda. All right, we have no one signed up for open forums, so we're going to move on to communications. Our director of business services will give us an update. Thank you, Madam Chair. Members of the board, um I do have a little bit of good news. I took the enrollment from this morning. So, we are actually up. We're at 3207. I know. And in December, I had stated that we were at I think 3197. were up 10 from from the 128 enrollment
that we saw. So where did they come from? Well, I don't know that. Well, I could tell you for sure where they came from. Yeah, but we um we increased three at the primary school, three at Lakeside, two at Taylor's Falls, and two at the middle school. So those are there were some open enrollments in there, too. I know. I saw Great news. Thank you. That's what I thought. Yes, I thought it was good. It's kind of nice to see the uh the chart actually go up. Yes. instead of going down at this time of year. So, I noticed that the last time it went up was, let's see, I think that was in 21 to 22. So, maybe we'll continue on that. So, um the the second report I have is the DBS or
the director of business services update. Um this is as of November. So, since we didn't in December, it wasn't enough time for us to get the November report in here. And so, this is as of November. And then in February, I'll bring um December and January. Um everything's looking pretty much right on par. If you look at the graphs, our general fund pretty much shows like it has every year. So it's that's showing there. Um in food service, we did have a timing issue with some revenue. You can see the revenue looks like it's short this this year. Timing it did come in at the end of the month, the beginning of the month. One of those things again. So nothing too major there. And then in community service, we seem to be right on
track there again. Pretty even across. Any questions on the revenue and expenses? Not. I'll move on to the treasures report which shows the cash in the bank. Um you see we have a little over $19 million in the bank as of the end of November. We did have a um ACD come due today. So I did reinvest that. Unfortunately interest rates are going down. Um that one came due at 4.22 and I reinvested it at four. That was the highest I could get was 4% right now. You can see in our our checking accounts, they're still at 3.82 and 38.91, which is pretty good for a checking in a savings account right now. So, um, and we have another one coming due on Wednesday. So, I'll reinvest as well. Any questions on that? Any questions
about the treasury report? Um, thank you, Robin. You're welcome. All right, we'll move on to the student representative update and we do have our new student school board member Kia Frederickson here with us today along with Anukica. Um, so we will ask you if you have anything you'd like to share with us about what's happening for the students at the high school or anywhere in our school district actually. Sure. Um, first off, I'd just like to say I'm very happy to hear a great perspective. So once you lose me, you'll have a great not saying that I'm all that, but you know I don't know. I kind of say you're all that. Okay. Um, we just came off of winter break and the consensus in the building today was like it was nice to have
two weeks off and no one wants to be here. But honestly, like you know, so it goes, whatever. Yeah, we're approaching the end of the first semester, so people are really gearing up for finals now. And I think everyone's kind of ready for summer classes. That's exciting. Um, winter. Honestly, the winter season has been really like a very good season this year. I feel like it's a pretty, you know, like, how do I put this? Like a temporate winter. So, people are out in the wild. They're doing out all sorts of activities, fishing, snowmmoiling. I feel like I hear about that every day. In other news, I don't really know much about the sports that went on. Uh, yeah, I could talk about that. Um, I noticed the new lunch tables today. Very nice. Very
cool. I like them at least. I mean, you know, they're nicer than the old like Mountain Dew stained ones. So, um, in other news, I'm in speech. We're gearing up for our first meet next Saturday. I know DECA is gearing up for like their first sort of regional competition. So, yeah. Do you have anything to add? Um, I know over winter break wrestling had a match and we won our second match of the season, which was nice to see. Um, and yeah, we're we're back from winter, which is nice. The teachers all seem to have enjoyed their break. And, um, for student council, we're getting ready to do a prom dress sale, so that'll be fun. Yeah, that is a cool idea. So, when and how are you handling that? Um, we're accepting dress donations.
Um, so Mrs. Dilly will be taking them and we Is it February 1st? Yep. That's when the sale is. We're going to sell them in the cafeteria and student council will like staff it. Yes. Yeah. Our executive board. So there's like five of us that are kind of like running the collection and eventually the selling of the dresses. So tell your friends and family. Yeah, it's a really good idea. Well, thank you. We're glad you're here, Kia. Um, always call any of us if you have any questions about anything. We're all glad to help. And also, you have a great mentor in Anukica. So, call her too if you have questions. And how this sort of goes is you have this time to give your update. And then if there's any point on the agenda,
we need to hear a student's voice. We'll welcome you in for that and ask you to give your perspectives. Thanks for all right, we'll move on to board committee updates. Have there been any committee meetings that people need to update us over? I know we've all sort of been on opportunity a little bit less business time for us to any other updates. I don't think so. I don't think because it wasn't it's an early board meeting so I don't think I've had any committee meetings. Okay. Superintendent update. Superintendent, what do you have for us? Just one. It's just more of a foreshadowing what's coming up the next couple months with strategic planning. We're already basically a year into this process and so I want to give you a one year report card the next couple
of months be February or March and just excited because again we have five goals that we landed on our community group landed on and we've already accomplished three of them and we're we're just really thrilled about the fact that again some of the commitments that we made with our community members and we followed through and hit them. So we'll talk about that to celebrate that piece and share more information a couple months. Perfect. All right, thank you. Um, we're going to move on to the consent agenda that includes claims and accounts, personnel items, past meeting minutes. So, we will need a motion and a second to accept the consent agenda for tonight. I will second it. Um, all in favor say I. I. Against sign. The consent agenda is accepted. Now we need to move
on to our annual business. Since this is our organizational meeting, we have a series of things we have to do every year. The first thing is to set our board meeting dates, which we've all had a chance to look at, and we know there's some conflicts for a few individuals, but as long as we have a forum here, it looks like these dates are going to work. So, we'll need a motion and a second to accept the proposed meeting dates for as stated in your packet and online. I'll make a motion to accept the board meeting dates. We have a motion. I'll second it. We have a second. All in favor say I. I. Again, same sign. The board meeting dates are accepted and I assume will go on to the website. So if people
are wondering when our meetings are, they'll be there. And then we have yet to set our working sessions for 2026. probably even we still I mean is that working out for everyone to set the work session is the Tuesday so be we'll be watching um the next order of business is designate our district depositories um and if I understand correctly we have some banks listed here who we typically do business with but we can we have the opportunity to add whoever we need to to accommodate our needs right Okay. And are we doing these individually? Just the deposit. You don't have to do each bank separately. So, we'll need a motion in a second to accept the deposiitories as listed with the knowledge that we can always add if we need to. I still have
a motion and a second. All in favor say I. Again, same sign. That motion passes. Now, we have to accept the district's legal council for this year. Um we'll continue to use Ratwick Rosac and but also R anderson Squire as well and Mace. Um and we can add as needed as well. Right. So we need a motion and a second to accept the legal council for this year. I make a motion to accept the legal counsel. I need a second. Have a motion second. All in favor say I. Again. same sign, the legal council is accepted. We have to select our official newspaper amongst all of our choices. Um, and so because we have the obligation to publish our minutes and so on. And so we've chosen the Chicago County Press. So we'll need a
motion in a second to accept the Chicago County Press as our official newspaper for this year. I'll make your accepted again that we're very lucky to have a local paper. Oh, we are. I'll have a motion and second. All in favor say I. Again, same sign. selected. Next, we have a resolution authorizing use of a faximony signature um just so that we can conduct our business. And so, this is something that we do every year. So, we delegate authority to sign contracts to the superintendent or the director of business services up to the bid law of $25,000 um to sign contracts once the board has approved them quotations or bids. So, we'll need a motion and a second to accept this resolution and it's a resolution. So, we'll do a roll call vote. So, I'll
make a motion. We need a second. I'll second it and we'll start the roll call with you Sarah. I I Jen I Jeff I and Lori I that resolution is accepted. Okay. We have to accept the new IRS mileage rate. It's been set at 70 cents per mile for 2026. 72.5. Oh, sorry. It says 70 on my wrong. Um Oh, but on the paper it says 72. 70 is going up to 72. Oh, I see. 72.5. So 72.5 cents per month. All right. And I'll make a motion. Do we have a second? Second. Have a motion and second. All in favor say I. I. Again, same time. That motion passes. Um, we're back to another resolution. This is authorizing the administration to develop specifications and solicit bids. Again, this is an annual that the district
can develop specifications of certain items. So, we'll need a motion and a second. Madam Chair, I make a motion to accept the resolution authorizing the administration to develop specific specifications that solicit bids. It's a mouthful, right? Yeah. So, we have a motion. Do we have a second? Second. We have a second. And this a resolution. So we'll start again with you Sarah. Sarah I. Josh I. Bren I. Jen I. Jeff I. And Lori. I. That resolution passes. We have our annual staff reduction resolution. District administration can make recommendation for reductions in programs and positions and the reasons. Therefore um this is a standing resolution that we do every year. So I'll make a motion to accept and make a second roll. Josh, I see um last we need authorization to make to make payments in
advance of school. So, the superintendent of schools recommends school board authoriz director to make payments between schoolboard meetings in advance if necessary. Um, so we need a motion. Second to accept this. I'll make a motion. I'll second it. Um, is this a resolution? No. Um, then all in favor say I. Again, same sign. That motion passes. Um, board member pay. This is something that's typically spoken about at the organizational meeting, so I assume that's why it's attached. Um, is it attached? Okay, that's okay. Is there any conversation about board member pay? I cannot remember the last time we changed board member pay. It's currently $45 a meeting. Um, $75 if the meeting's longer. And if we happen to be full day, it's $100. And then there's a few stipens for some of the positions. $600
for me for the year. The clerk and the treasurer get 500 400. It's tons of money. So I rare occasion that you're gone and I have to replace your big $25. Yes. Big shoes to fill. Yes, that's true. Should be way more than that. So, I'm not proposing any changes and you all have the right to do so as well, but at this point, we all know it's a public service and we're elected to serve this community for the most part. So, that's how I think we feel. All right. So, we're going to let that we're going to leave that alone. All right. Let's move on. Okay, let's do that. We'll make a motion in a second to approve that the board pays. I make a motion to keep the board pay exactly as it
is. I'll second it. All in favor say I. I. Again, same sign. Thanks, Brian. That motion passes. We have nothing under old. Under new business, we have some donations. Um, oh, I have it right here. The Linds Pirate Partner has donated $500 to boys basketball. The Taylor's Falls School Foundation has donated $1,500 to the TF playground. And the Sh PTO has donated $7,180 to the And so these are donations. We'll take a motion in a second and we will do to accept those donations. And again, we're always thankful for our community for how generous they are with our schools. So, do we have a motion to accept the donations as a second? All in favor of accepting say I I again same. Josh, I and Lori I. The resolution passes and thanks again to our
community members who donate. so generously to us. All right. Um, now we're moving on to the D fire and I see we have some people here to share with us and please either stand or sit wherever you're comfortable if you'd like to get the standard people. Okay, very good. We're excited to hear all about it. Great. Thank you. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jackie. I'm the high school choir teacher here. I've been uh with the district since 2008. I also graduated from Chicago Lakes in 1998. Probably didn't know that, did you? I actually did. This is my colleague Joey. He is with our band program and thank you for allowing us to come in tonight to pitch our bianual band and choir tour. Uh this is top secret. Uh
but we would like to propose that the bandquire tour to Italy on the spring break of 2027. Uh this would be very similar to our Greece uh trip timing. It is with the same company. Uh we have some members here who have been on the the grant tours trip before. So they can speak to our experience. We'll take you on a little a little preview of the outline of the trip here. So uh uh the request for approval today is to conduct an international band and choir educational trip to Italy. Uh hopefully to approve the itinerary, our supervision, the fundraising and the timeline set by grand tours and then to allow student enrollment to proceed. Uh ideally we would let parents know that there is anformational meeting in about a month from now. we would
officially pitch the trip on the night of the extravaganza concert and then uh enrollment opens at that point. There's a cancellation policy and all that good stuff that we'll we'll get to, but um we would start now and then a tour spring break of next year. I think those dates are announce the trip the concert is January 26, Monday night and then our introductory meeting is February I think it was the 5th the following Monday. following Monday. Yeah. And then um information goes out in person and through the electronic uh and yeah on the educational purpose of the trip. It's a curriculum based music performance opportunity, cultural and historical immersion, student leadership, responsibility and collaboration and the district goals for experiential learning. We would perform approximately two to three times in this particular trip. Do
you want to take the trip over? Sure. So, I mean, we're going to Italy and we'll experience several different locations just like we did with Greece. There's a little bit of like bus travel throughout the different locations and possibly even a couple of different hotels just the same way that we ran the Greece trip. It's a great way to really see a lot of different places and experience different cultures. It was wonderful. Uh also just those performance venues as well uh change throughout location location location. So sometimes we perform together, sometimes we perform perform separate. That's really in the hands of the uh the tour company is where those spots are. Uh some of the grand cathedrals band cannot play in because we'll destroy them with their sound and choir can perform in those. So
usually we would be outside and you guys could be outside as well but you can be you have more flexibility. A little bit about Grand Tours. It is a Minnesota based company. They are retired band directors. Uh they are considered one of the premier tour groups. Um they do their homework and their specialty is that when you tour, you don't have a a US tour guide taking you there. You have an authentic um person who is from the country who speaks the language to help shepherd you and and to guide you. So there's some good knowhow uh placed with our students locations and experiences. Uh places we would go to Sarrento, Capri, the Amalfi Coast, Pompei, Oreto, and Rome with guided tours at the historic sites. Uh the tickets are all taken care of. We
are shephered in uh in right-sized groups. And the tour guides are phenomenal. They're very knowledgeable. um they're great with kids. What they do, they do it well. They're good at lots of questions, right? Uh and then like I say, two to three student performance opportunities um depending on what's available at the time of the year. Um wait to to get the train out of the station before they put those out. They also take care of any uh we rent uh large percussion equipment even as well anything that we need and then they advertise for us to build build audiences. Any questions so far? This is different with the performance [Music] travel logistics. We do roundtrip airfare from Minneapolis. Uh we take school transportation from Shag High School to the airport. Uh last year we left
after the first lunch. We went two waves so kids were able to eat and then grab their luggage and we rolled out. While we're in Italy, we'd be a deluxe motor coach for the entire transportation. Um these are professional drivers that are contracted through the Italy connection. Uh their the Greece drivers were amazing. They're very good at what they do. Um they're topnotch. Professional tour managers, our hotels, our tours and admissions are all included. Um most of the meals Grand Tours tries to have included so that kids aren't aren't whooped with an extra huge price for meals. They also try to do some group style meals where um family style. We got to do some dancing in Greece. There is no extra cost to the district. This is it's not a mandatory band acquired trip.
It is an experience that kids can take if they would like to, but everything is up to families. Student supervision. Sure. The chaperones that we take, we try to take uh a low ratio. Last year we did one adult chaperone per eight students. And those chaperones we prioritize our district staff. Um, we prioritize medical personnel, law enforcement personnel. They go through a application process and we vet them and then the district and they go through a background check before they are selected. Check in on the kids every day and at night, make sure everyone is where they're supposed to be when they're supposed to be. And our staff retain supervisory. We Oh, sorry. Oh, go ahead. I was say I don't see where you're bringing schoolboard members at my own. Absolutely. We also work we
have developed a system that we work with kind of a gaping system where like Sarah was in charge of a pod. She was in a color team. she would have a partner uh chaperone so that they could work together if there were questions that came up in large areas where we needed like a tip and a tail. Sarah's color team would be at the front where the other chaper groups would be in the in the rear and then the the questions, you know, kids are encouraged to work out things together first, check their itineraries, then go to their chaperons, their color team, and then finally come to us. So, uh, we've learned well through our our friends at Medal on the Travel way. Grant Tours has been a great resource. So, we feel like they
they've prepared us well for student travel. Uh, safety and risk management. We take this very seriously. We realize that we are taking people's babies across the ocean and we hold that um as a very large responsibility. So, emergency response and communication plans, we have a full document of student expectations and guides and then one for the checkouts as well. There's required medical documentation. Travel protection options are available through Grand Tours and encouraged um that families have protection and then coordination with the tour provider and local authorities. Grand Tours is available 24 hours a day, no matter what. while a group is away. So they they a landslide happens in one part of the country that we were supposed to see, they will replan or reroute us um and get things done for us. Yeah. Our
student code of conduct, we stick to the district code of conduct. So we travel in a theoretical school building wherever we are. So if you are 18 and you can do certain things in Italy, doesn't matter. It's still like you're in Chicago high school. We have the same rules, same expectations, and that is communicated over and over and over again. Before we leave, students sign an acknowledgement agreement. So to parents, and they understand the consequences if they break those expectations, they will be sent home on their cost overview. This trip uh is estimated at $44.95. The final price is usually set in September of the following fall once they see how many um students need to go. Uh when we typically book the airfare about uh the beginning of the school year of the the
trip here. Um but grant touris does a very nice job of dialing it in pretty close. Didn't think there was any grease. No, their original estimate held for grease. So they they're pretty good at this travel lodging tourism. Um some meals uh the lodging for students we followed the guidance from the board from last year where there's one human body per bed. Um one of the reasons that Europe accommodates that really well is that their their rack rate for international is two twin beds versus two full or queen. And then in some places there's triple twin beds. Um so it worked out really well for student assignments. kids help plan, you know, who they're most comfortable with. Um, with some guidance from directors, if we see a duo that maybe shouldn't be together, we encourage
else. That that's a major cost savings, too. I think most stateside hotels plan for two students in a queen-sized bed. There's two queensiz beds. So, when we have one body in a queen-siz bed, that doubles our hotel cost. So, it's a little bit it's cheaper or a wash for us to travel to Europe with that hotel savings than uh it would be to stay stay side. When we bid Greece, Greece was about 3500 3550. Uh we also looked at Hawaii at the same time and Hawaii was nearly $1,000 more because of that hotel. Only 32 people in hotel rooms expensive. Um fundraising. Joe and I are really good at fundraising. Um, our past school approved fundraiser fundraisers have included world science chocolates, cup food bagging. We have baggged from Stillwater to Cambridge and all around
our kids are uh regarded by the club's faculty or the club staff as very um customer forward and friendly and they like having band choir kids. It's bag groceries. So, that one's a been a good one for us. The mattress sale, I know sounds quirky and odd, but it has been a very successful sale. out here in cabin country, um people tend to forget that that is also a necessity and the mattress company will wait and deliver and and exchange mattresses whenever you open your cabin in a season. So, they did custom sizes as well. So, real skinny beds or RV things like that. Uh quick trip quick trip car wash cards. My goodness, we get asked about those all the time. Everyone needs car wash. Uh pasta dinner. Delissi uh comes from a family
of restaurant tours and his family has hosted a pasta dinner. We've done coffee beans, soaps and community sponsorships. Um the wonderful fire departments have actually fully funded a few students in the past to make that experience happen. Payment and cancellation. Fundraising. Last year we traveled with 93 students. I think 60 of them participated in fundraising in some way. And so there's like 30 students who just chose not to fund raise, which is their prerogative. And we raised it was like $35,000 total towards those 60 students, which is great. Uh payment cancellation. There's a laid out payment payment plan. I believe it's monthly. It goes direct to grant tours. One of the great things about this company is that we don't touch that money which was a huge stressor and really liability in previous tours where
you know there might be a large stack of checks in the music office. So it's really nice also means that students and families can pay with card like you know but uh it's really nice to have them take care of the money which is great. search and their their payment and cancellation policy is in there. I don't know if it's as wellation policy was very good. Yeah, it's pretty oversight and compliance. Uh this was sent to Mrs. Zackley first just to review the trip details. Um we're you know our aim is to always be in compliance with district tribal policies and then to always keep uh our principles and administrative team in in communication with what's happening. We request your approval. There you go. We do also offer a friends and family tour. Um Greece
had the student tour and then friends and family is somewhat of a parallel tour. They're not always with us. We had a few joint dinners. Uh but for parents who would like to still be in the same country and maybe have a great time, they had that option. It's it's close to the same price, usually maybe a hundred or two more. Um but we we would be delighted to offer friends and family Italy tour. I think it was 40 friends and family last year. That was that was a really big group. It was great. I saw you smiling. Joy, can we help with any questions? What questions do you have? When you're in the Alafi coast, don't look out the bus window. Gosh, the roads are like this. Drivers are so good. They know what
they're doing. They're like brand new Mercedes buses. They're They're You're creepy. We're not in the yellow, you know. The ones that we grew up with. It's not a yellow. Florida done things like that before broken down inside of Florida, right? Well, first of all, thank you for being willing to offer this opportunity for our kids because these opportunities, not all kids get and I'm just thankful that you're willing to do the work to make this available for kids. Sounds wonderful. Are there any other questions or comments for them? Okay. If not, we need a motion and a second to accept this 2027 proposed land and choir trip. Go ahead. Sarah, you can go first. I'll make a motion to approve the trip. We have a motion. Do we have a second? I'll second. We have
a motion and second. All in favor say I. Thank you. If you'd like to extravaganza on the 26th. Since you're both here, I did want to say that over the holidays, I just happened to talk to some different people who had different things to say about things that you do in our community. Just since you're here, I want to tell you these words. So, someone happened to be at Paralle the day that you choir was there singing to the folks at Paraly and she was there as a friend, but she talked about how moving it was and just how special it was and it just made me proud. So, thank you for that. And then even I was at the basketball game for some awards and having the band there and just the joy it
brought and just the atmosphere it brings to the gym just made me feel proud and just they're just both exceptional. So, thank you. We're We just talked about this earlier today. We're so aware of the public facing aspects of our programs and what you said, those experiences uh hit community members that will never come to a concert and they're not expected to come to a concert because they're retired, they don't have kids in the music program. That's great, but we still get to represent our music programs near and far. Um, and we are aware of that. We take a lot of pride doing that. You can tell you I would like to add a couple other things. I know there was other places that the choir sang at and I know you don't like to
put those things out there but I do appreciate that same thing and I was at the musical a lot of us the musical uh at the scholarship concert and at the Christmas concert which I thoroughly enjoyed and then followed up by the community by the community choir which was really I think no offshoot band and choir are those things that don't start at 7:50 and finish at 3:50. And your time with over the holidays, your time preparing, prepping for concerts, as well as the grand tour of to Italy, those are things that take a whole lot of extra time that just coming from 7:15 to 3:15 and sometimes it doesn't get recognized. I think a lot of us appreciate all those things that you do for kids and create opportunity, but also just it was
it just made the this whole uh winter start of the winter even though winter doesn't start till the 21st, but it was just a really wonderful end of the fall and going to the concerts and and being there and you know I see you and then I also saw you skiing. I didn't know it was you until you zipped by me but I was so fast. that. So, but thank you both very much for all that and I think we all just appreciated the fine arts and the things that happened and the money that was generated I think from the scholarship too. Remarkable. It's great. It's great to be able to help kids be part of it in the next phase of their lives. You know, you know what it does when I go into
that concert hall and we we miss it. It just it's calming. You know, sometimes the busyiness of things that are going on around us, there's something about music that just soothe the savage beast, I guess. So, thank you very much for just for all the different things that you do that sometimes, you know, you hope people identify them. I know you don't do those things so that it gets identified, but people see that and it is a great benefit to our district. all the different things we talk about that you that happen but also band acquired music and concerts and musicals and one acts and all the other things that occur. So, thank you. Thanks for being here. And now I get to pull that secretly. I know you don't know. I'm bursting with joy.
I literally told you now. Okay, we're gonna move on to we have to we have to accept the election judges as presented. Michelle, did you want to add anything about this? Um, it's pretty much the same roster what we saw last year. Okay. Um, couple of new people and we'll make a couple of additions. We did have a couple people either shift locations or shift times and we had a couple people call us back from after Christmas. So, some of these aren't fully correct, but we are fully stacked. We're fully stacked, which is good news, right? Very good. Okay. So, we'll need a motion in a second to accept the election judges as presented with perhaps a few changes, but may not be correct. I'll second it. Um, all in favor say I. Again, same
sign. The election judges are accepted. Thanks for all of your work with that, Michelle. Okay. Um, we also have to accept the election judge pay for our February 10th referendum vote. Looks like the head judge $1 and the regular judge pays $16. Um, so we'll need a motion and a second to accept the the election judge pay for this next election. Make a motion to accept election judge. So, we have a motion. Do we have any questions about that? We need a second. I'll second. We have a motion and a second. All in favor say I. Again, same time. That motion passes. Wow, we did really well for our organization meeting. Um, is there anything else before we adjourn? Well, it went so quick. I think we have to go a little longer. That's all.
It's not. Quick, before Jeff starts talking, we need a motion to do. We have a second. All in favor say I. I. Again, same time. The meeting is like to go back to school and not say a thing about this exciting thing. Unless I don't want race.
