001I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. First up is attendance. Do you have any questions on attendance? No. All right, agenda approval. Does anyone have any additions or corrections to the board agenda? I had one addition just to check pride number three in Jake pride. All right, so I'm looking for a motion to approve the agenda. I'll make the motion. All right, there's a motion. Is there a second? I'll second. Is there any discussion? All in favor say I. I. Against? Motion passes 7-0. Next up is open forum. Rules for open forum. 3 minutes per speaker. Open forum shall not take more than a total of 15 minutes. No complaints about
002individual staff members, about students, or about other persons are permitted. All presenters will conduct their business in a manner that meets community standards for decorum. The board will not take action on items presented in an open forum. Brian, do you have anyone signed up for open forum with you? Nope. Does anyone wish to speak? Austin. Hi, Ellen. Hi. How's it going? >> Good, you? Well, a little uh repressed memory pulling in here. Sorry, Brian, but last time I was at a board meeting here, I ended up backing up into a staff member's vehicle. And I parked next to your truck, so that That was my fault when I pulled in. So, just wanted you to be aware. Perfect. Yes. Well, let's hope that doesn't >> at 7:45. Um but no, we're doing good. I just
003wanted to uh take my 3 minutes, which will probably more like a minute, um and just talk about some sudden stuff and just throw something at your plate. I know you can't take action on anything, but maybe just stew on it, think it over, and let me see something happen eventually. But, with subbing at the elementary school, it's a little different than at the high school. Um grade levels have to split. If there's three sections, all high grades have two, which I think Scarlett will talk about later. Um it just seems like we're hurting for subs at the elementary school. Um and I always felt it takes a very niche person to sub in our building. Um and I think one of the main reasons for that is it's just not a very appealing job
004or appealing thing to do. Um and I think that's the problem that we can kind of tackle is fixing that and making it more appealing. Um so, I kind of was thinking about some benefits or some perks that we could throw at this uh potential subbing handbook contract. Um and the first two that popped up, well, there's probably more, but the first two I thought of were looking at giving either free or discounted rates to subs for walking track or fitness center, um which would be similar to what staff would get. Um just looking at the fitness center itself, it's $25 a month um or 250 a year. Um looking at the walking track, there are two separate prices. Be $5 a month or 60 bucks a year. Um I don't know if that would
005draw some people in, but I think it would be a start. I think we had some flyers out, "Hey, put this up in the walking track. Interested in free walking track, free fitness center? Uh come sub with us." Something like that. Couple other options too that I just were, you know, spitballing with myself was looking at athletic packages for attending sports. Maybe we could find a discounted rate there for subs as well. Um I just think that that would go a long way to and subs to come and talk with us and say things. Questions? Thank you, Austin. >> Thanks, Anna. Yeah. All right. Anybody else wish to speak? We will move on to the consent agenda. Does anyone need anything pulled from the consent agenda and placed later in the agenda for further discussion?
006Then I'm looking for a motion to approve the consent agenda. I'll move that. All right. There's a motion. Is there a second? I'll second. All right. All right. Is there any discussion? All in favor say aye. Aye. Against, say aye. Motion passes 7-0. On the bills? All right. If you have questions on the bills, please state the page number and bill number. Does anybody have any questions on the bills? No? If not, I'm looking for a motion to pay the bills. I'll make the motion. All right. There's a motion. Is there a second? I'll second. All right. There's a motion and a second. Is there any discussion? All in favor say aye. Aye. Against, say aye. Motion passes 7-0. Pay the bills. And then we're at reports. Start with Brian. Mine is short and sweet
007this month. Um just an update on meetings for both myself and for board members. Um this Wednesday, it's not on the report, but this Wednesday, if any of you'd like to go to the Pine Pony leadership meeting, it's at East Central at 6:00 p.m. If you could let me know, cuz they want to plan to We enough food. Um but we've had quite a few meetings in the last month, so I'll let the rest of the agenda speak for that. All right. Thank you, Brian. Does anybody have any questions for Brian? All right. Then we will move on to our high school principal's report, Mr. Latimore. Good evening, everybody. So as this goes through, I just kind of pull what was from last year as well as we go through things. So just showing you
008what we had for attendance for third quarter where we are now, week two in the fourth quarter. So that was our high school attendance, our enrollments, our March behavior data for major minor. The chart there, 8.99% and two. So again, we we want that to be 85, 10, and five. So right right in line for our monthly look at what we're looking for on that. I do have the comparison year to year. Um below that. Um so you can kind of see where we stack up um from year over year um in that category. It is registration scheduling time, so we are going through that. Still working with some of our service providers like ECMAC for our ITV classes and what that will look like. Miss Key Hardel and myself have been looking at what
009classes will be and hopefully we'll have that done in May, so we'll be ready to go for next year. Uh MCA testing is right here. We've got uh reading, math, and science. So as the reading, eighth or seventh, eighth, and 10th take it at the high school. Math is seven, eight, and 11. And science is eight and 10 grades that take those. In years past, we've had a lot of um like juniors and seniors don't come in till 11:00. Uh ninth graders, we got to find something for you to do for the morning. Um so, we've had a lot of um disruptions in the day. This year, we're trying something a little bit different. Um well, I shouldn't say a little bit, a lot different. Um we are having students take the MCAs in the
010media center. So, we'll have starting tomorrow morning, seventh grade will be in the media center for uh reading. Uh and then in the afternoon, it'll be um the eighth graders. And then Wednesday morning, 10th graders will take English. So, everybody's coming to school on time. Everybody's going to classes where they need to be. Um so, as little disruption as possible for the uh to the day. Um so, that's what we uh decided to do this year. Uh next week, it'll be math. So, it'll be eighth grade in the morning, seventh grade in the afternoon on Tuesday. And 11th grade will take it on Wednesday morning. Uh and then science will be on the 28th, Tuesday. So, 2 weeks. Uh and we'll just do um eighth or 10th. Uh we're still trying to figure out who's
011playing when and where they're going to see if 10th grade will be in the afternoon or the morning or whatever just for baseball, softball, track and field. So, um we'll start new or trying here to uh to limit the disruption to the to the day uh as much as possible cuz uh once in a while is okay, but having it disrupted 3 weeks in a row is really difficult. Especially when our kids love um routines. Um so, that's what we have going on. So, I'm excited to try that. Uh like I said, our class sizes are such that we'll be able to get everybody into the media center. Uh we will have an overall proctor, but then those teachers that teach seventh grade or eighth grade, 10th, you know, whatever it is, if they are
012uh have those grades at our they will be in the media center proctoring uh the MCAs for our students. Uh and then if you have any questions, we'll just wait because I got these two rockstars behind me that want to talk. Spring sports are kicking off, or I guess in full swing now. Track, we had our first real meet, or what I consider a real meet, last week Thursday. Um We're doing good. There's quite a few of us out. I think there's 16 seniors. We're still having a couple injuries, but we'll all be back hopefully by the time competition season comes. And then softball is one and one, and then they had a game tonight, and I'm not sure how that panned out. >> Two and one. Two and one. Okay. Um baseball, we had
013our first game on Thursday last week. It was very cold, and it was very windy. Uh we lost to EC 5-3, so it was a close one. It was pretty fun. This week we have three games. Next week we have four, and we're just going to keep powering through these games until the end of the year, cuz it's going to get hectic. Um golf hasn't been outside yet. They've been inside forever. They went to the course today for the first time, so That's wonderful. Uh speech has their next meet on this Friday. Um I'm pretty sure they're entering their section meet. Probably next next week. Oh, it's Friday. Okay. And then Oh, last week we had our band and choir solo and ensemble competitions Thursday, Friday. There were lots of superiors and excellents to go
014around, so that was good. And I think everything went pretty smoothly from my perspective, if you guys agree. And then this Friday is a busy day at the high school. We have the pow wow happening in the afternoon, and then we're also having our last blood drive. And then we're also excited for prom next weekend. So, we know that already. It's next weekend, I think. So, lots and lots of stuff going on. I guess does anybody have any questions for First of all, do Brady and Haley? All right, any questions for Joe? Okay. All right, thank you all. >> Thank you. Then we will move on to our elementary principals. Go ahead. Good evening. Um kind of feel like an echo to Joe, but our MCAs are kicking off. We have our MCAs with reading
015MCAs on Thursday, math the following Thursday, science the following Thursday after that for our fifth graders. Our fifth graders are the only ones that take science in our elementary building. Um meeting with our leadership team. Uh the last couple years we've tried to incentivize it kind of as a whole school. Uh they decided that they kind of wanted to do just classroom. They want to do their own. We do not get our reading results right away, so um we're going to let them take charge of that and kind of see how that goes and hopefully we'll just fire our kids up to do their absolute best they can and without, you know, putting too much anxiety on them that this is this is our one time to show what we got, but just understanding that
016they've learned a lot and here's their opportunity to show us what they've learned. So, looking forward to see how they do on our tests. Um we tried something a new incentive this year called Book Blast. Um We partnered with Books Are Fun. Um each student had to sign up 10 names. Each parent of the student had to sign up 10 names. If they sign them 10 names up, they got a little uh prize pack. Um and then those 10 people uh were reached out to to say, "Hey, would you like to donate?" Um whether they participate or not, uh as long as we checked our boxes that we had to check, every student will get a personalized delivered uh book to them on a date yet to be determined. I meet with them on the
01720th after this is over. Um, I've had one concern saying the messaging maybe is a little bit different, so I'll bring that up to them on the 20th just kind of see if they've had other feedback in that regard, but uh, the kids were super excited. We've had three winners at each building that have received a treasure chest and it's got like $2 bills and the dollar coins and I don't think kids know what dollar coins are, so that was kind of fun to see. Um, pre-K just with our staffing is going to remain the same this year or next year it is this year. Um, meaning we're going to have 4 days a week of 4-year-old programming and offer some time for 3-year-olds on that Friday. Um, we'd like to even 5 days a
018week, we just can't do that with the current staffing that we have. Uh, you can see our class sizes that we're looking at for next year. Um, most sections are going down to two. We do have a couple that will stay at three and then we're going to put kindergarten back up to three at Hinckley with keeping that at 13 kids. Um, we have some pretty busy classrooms right now in pre-K, so splitting them into three versus two is something we're excited about. Um, you can see FES kind of will remain the same um, in their numbers there as well. Like Grady had mentioned, it's a busy year all the way around. Our fifth graders went on at at Hinckley went on their field trip today and it just feels like there's something every single
019day. And then we throw testing and other benchmarking in on top of that, so we buckle up and just get through the end of the year with keeping those kids on track and sticking to our our routine is what help makes our kids successful, so um, we have PAWS bucks and JAG door that we continue to uh, entice our kids with, encourage our kids with and they seem to get excited about that. So, we have roller skating back in both buildings. The kids love it. And our Finlayson's been doing it for quite a few years. Hinckley, this is probably year three, maybe four. Had a few more injuries this year than >> Senior ankles. Hey. Senior lane. A few more injuries maybe this year than in the past. So, maybe we'll start serving some extra
020milk at lunchtime. I don't know. And I guess the exciting part to wrap up my report with is the behavior data. You can see there for Hinckley and Finlayson. We're well within that MTSS model. 85% of Hinckley have not reserved received a referral during the third quarter. Only 31 kids got one, 25 who fell in that two to five range and then first time in a long time we haven't had any students who received six or more during that period of time. So, that's pretty amazing. Finlayson's stats are there as well. 94% not receiving any referrals. One student had one and two students had two or more. So, pretty exciting news. The behavioral leadership that we're doing with Kid Whisper is paying off and our teachers are have grasped onto that and and really done
021a nice job with it. So, Does anybody have any questions for Bonnie? On number four, your class sizes, I'm guessing that's this year's numbers. Oh, you know what? It's this year, next year. I'll change that. It is 26, 27. >> Okay. That's what I have. Thank you for seeing that. Thank you. The error of my ways. Had it been one. I had it there. There we go. Thank you. Yes, that is I'm not reliving this year again. Any other questions for Bonnie? I have none. Thank you, Bonnie. You're welcome. We will move on to board committees. Would any board members like to present from their committees this past month? Kind of a lot. All right, then we will move on to communications. There's none. All right, and then uh budget items and finished business. Brian,
022do you have any information you want to highlight? Yeah, I'd like to start with uh capital budget and looking for approval on this, but I'm only looking for approval on the building and facilities part and the technology part. I think we should wait on the transportation capital purchases until next month. So, um recommending approval of the building facilities and technology capital purchases for next year. Okay. Are there any questions about the 2026-2027 capital budget facilities and capital only that has been presented? Is there any reason why we couldn't just defer this vote until next month so that we can look at it all at the same time? I just feel like to approve one part of the capital budget but not another part to me, it just doesn't make sense. It's like putting the cart
023in front of the horse. And I feel for example, with transportation, there could very well be a need for a school bus. That's a large expenditure. And so, do we have 150,000 just sitting around somewhere? And if we do need a school bus, which gets voted next month, would that affect the part of the capital budget that we were looking at tonight. That's why I feel like we'd make most sense to look at everything together. The technology should not wait, in my opinion. Those prices continue to go up. You could certainly wait down the building facilities, but at least the technology, the 42,000 and then the smart boards and iPads should be, in my opinion, approved tonight cuz those prices change all the time. So, um and you risk them just going up if we
024wait any longer. Um the other with the buildings and grounds, that's coming out of that specific budget. Is it transportation a different budget? All three of the transportation per like tires or buses or things Anything over a thousand dollars would be in this budget. Transportation as itself is a different budget, but if we're getting like big improvements, that would be under capital. So, it it could certainly be delayed, but I I would ask at minimum approve the technology um devices probably down to at least the school board uh Chromebooks that are on here. Lines 21 through 27. Any other questions? Um number 25, replace iPads. What is that so I apologize, but Mike isn't here and I should have done this then. What are those for versus the student devices? Do you know what the
025iPads are for? Those lower grades in the elementary. So, how is that different from the elementary? Three and up are going to have Chromebooks. Got Okay, thank you. So, those those three are just Chromebooks. They're not I That's Okay. I Okay, thank you. Correct. Correct. Those type three are Chromebooks. Okay. Thank you. There's no further discussion. We'll be looking to for a motion to accept. I'll make that motion. Okay, the capital budget. Are you wanting to make the motion with the including the facilities and the capital? Mhm. Okay. You have a motion. Is there a second? I'll second that. All right, there's a motion and a second. Any further discussion? All in favor, say I. I. Opposed? Opposed. All right, we will do roll call. And start with Dave. Yes. Jamie? Yes. Phil? Yes. Toby?
026No. Janelle? Yes. Angela? Yes. Heather? Yes. All right, the motion passes 6-1. Otherwise, the next one I have is recommend approval of the school board goals based on input from the board the last few months. Uh looking for approval of the '26-'27 school board goals. Are there any questions about the '26-'27 school board goals? All right, if not, I'm looking for a motion to accept the school board goals. I'll make the motion. All right, there's a motion. Is there a second? I'll second. All right, there's a motion and a second. Is there any discussion? All in favor, say I. I. Opposed, say I. Motion passes 7-0. Um otherwise, you can see where our enrollment is as of April 1st. Um we've been right around that 805 to 810 roughly all school year. And then you
027can see where our daycare enrollment is. We talked about that a bit last week at our work session. So, uh any questions on budget or unfinished business items? Where does that go on the policies? All right, policy reapproval. So, we are looking at reapproving policy number 722, public data request, policy number 903, visitors to school district buildings and sites, and policy number 536, social media for student participants. Uh just add, uh they're unchanged from last month except 536. The board had asked Mandy Knight to put um some more language into 536, and that has been added at the bottom. Are there any questions about the three policies that have been presented? All right, I'm looking for a motion to accept the three policies. I'll make that motion. Second. There's a motion and a second. Is
028there any discussion? All in favor, say I. I. Opposed. All right. Motion passes, 7-0. And we are up to new business. We'll start with Jaguar Pride. Amanda Davis, Carissa Osmus, Maggie Lee, Jessica Wold, George Gimple, Laura Gustafson, and Emma Fraley for facilitating kindergarten round-up night. It was great to see our families in the building. Mickey Colton and Jerry Welker for providing bussing for elementary students on their reward day. Thank you to Joe Latimore for the kind donation of broad building and lower building supplies to the Angling 2 class. Congratulations to Angling for this month's Great River Coach of the Year, all conference, and honorable mentions for the winter seasons. Dan Craft, boys basketball coach of the year. Haley Geiger, girls basketball all conference player, and Rowan Fahey, honorable mention. Grady Osmus, boys basketball all conference
029player and Blake Flowers honorable mention. Speech all conference winners, Noah Hickel with discussion, Isabel Richter extemporaneous reading and Emma Pitts storytelling. And then we're at policy review, first reading. Yep, I just want to hit on 704 cuz that one is not coming from MSBA, but it is coming from our auditors. Our auditors have made recommended changes to 704, uh quite a bit of them, so you can see that in there. And 721 is is basically been rewritten. It used to be called the uniform grant, now it's procurement policy and you can see MSBA had quite a few changes to that as well. Um I believe the health and safety policy that there were not any changes, just we hadn't updated it in a couple years. So we did not have a 704? We did, but
030uh we basically did not have the chart from number five down. So our um auditors wanted to see the depreciation table. And so why doesn't MSBA have them? They have one, but without the chart. So we had everything that MSBA has, but our auditors wanted to see specifically a depreciation table. Thank you. Are there any other questions or discussion about the policies? All right, then we will move on to expenditures. You can see where we are in each of our uh fund areas. I'll note that uh you'll see that the capital did take an increase. That's because if you recall when we talked at our work session, we had some uh rollover capital money that we were able to use. So not coming out of the general budget, but it did increase our capital costs.
031Um otherwise, things are going as predicted. Transportation, as expected, is up a little bit with some of the repairs of having to send some things out, but otherwise, overall, doing well compared to where we are in the school year. Okay. Are there any questions or discussion about the expenditures that have been presented? All right. Then we'll move on to the K-Bak lease. Looking for approval of the K-Bak lease. Um same terms as the board has approved last year. Um we did do some research into this. We do not have to go out for bid, so looking for approval of the K-Bak lease. What was What were the taxes 4 years ago? 4 years ago, I'd have to go look. I don't know. And that's when the $700 Is that how long that $700 has been
032in play? Correct. I feel that since taxes probably have moved higher since then, I feel it would be um given our current financial crisis, I think it would be fair more than fair to at least have the uh Danny K-Bak cover the taxes. And I feel that's generous on the part of the school district to um not charge more than the taxes. So, you want to more than double what you're paying? I I feel it should be at least cover the taxes, and I feel that's generous just to ask to cover the taxes. I don't think we should subsidize given our current financial position. And I will say $700 is quite a deal as it is. Um what happens though that is the land that's for sale. So what what happened if the land is
033sold? >> Yeah, I would wonder if we'd have to prorate giving some of that back if it sold. Depending on the time of year. Has there been any discussion with him um about the land being for sale? There has but it was an offer that is less considerably than we had it listed for. But I mean is he he's aware that the land is for >> Yes, he's aware. Yes. Okay. So what if We don't normally pay taxes unless somebody's paying us. Correct? Bridget? If >> Sorry, I'm calling I'm Bridget. >> If it's not a school like school function type thing on the land yes, we have to pay taxes. But if there's an if there's like nothing going on there, right, the school just owns it then we wouldn't have to pay taxes So
034what if he's just maintaining the land and we don't charge him anything, do we still taxes? >> I think with the livestock and stuff on there using it for agricultural use, then it's taxed. So if Mr. Gay back was not utilizing the property, there would be no tax but since he is utilizing it, there is a tax. That underscores my position that since he is using it and that's triggering a tax event, I feel he should cover the taxes. Has there been any cuz we debated this a little bit last year. Has there been any discussion with him about increasing the lease? Not in a few years. Or are we up selling the property? No one's made an offer. Is the city's property still um for sale? Is the city's property still for sale? >>
035Something like that. 48 acres adjoin ours. 35 acres I believe is that. Something like that. >> Yeah. We need a field that's north of that. Mhm. That is for both of us there. Yeah. My understanding is the city does not pay taxes and Danny K back donates money to the city to get around the taxes. Is that possible, Bridget? Have you ever heard of such thing? I have not. I can call I can call the county and find out. Okay. I'm trying to table this till next month or is it have to be It can be tabled. Can I make a motion to table it till May and see if you can maybe get some answers on that or maybe sell it. I'll second that motion. We have a motion and a second to table
036this discussion until May. Any further discussion? And Bridget will check out those Talk to Danny in case we do sell it. Yeah. Taxes, okay, good. So, if the property is not sold, do the other board members feel like it would be a fair deal to just charge whatever tax event is triggered, let him cover the taxes since his use triggers that tax full event? Or do you guys feel it's not The deal with that is him not using it at all. And it's not valuable land. It's covered in brush. I don't know how how can you eat anything on it? You go buy it, it's just not a good pasture. It's not like it's just brush. So, then if he decides to walk away, then we're saving ourselves $800 if taxes are $1,500. Mhm. So,
037I if he walks away, maybe that's better for us. Yeah, maybe. He's got beef cattle, right? Mhm. And beef prices really did increase. Is it possible to have a conversation with him before the next meeting to see if he would still want to lease it for For sure. if we did charge him the taxes. All right. So, there's a motion and a second to table this until May when we have some further information and we can bring it back then and discuss. All right. All in favor say I. All right. All opposed, say I. Motion passes 7-0. All right. And we were on to support staff negotiations approval. Recommending approval of the negotiation responses for full-time support staff, part-time support staff, and bus drivers. I'll have the full handbook at either May or June's meeting,
038but I wanted to get the financials approved, so I'm recommending the financials for each area of our support staff. So, when it says that the board does not agree with their request that he pay taxes I mean we would not do it. Okay. I just wanted to clarify. No. Are there any other questions about the support staff negotiations that have been presented? All right. We're looking for a motion to accept the support staff negotiations. I'll move that. There's a motion. Is there a second? I'll second. it. All right, motion and a second. Any further discussion? All in favor say I. I. I. Opposed? Motion passes 7-0. Next up is the girls hockey conversation. So, last month we had a citizen come to our board meeting meeting asking us to put this on the board agenda.
039We've talked about this a little bit this year but and a little bit last year. I did have our AD reach out to Pine City. Um in order for this to happen, my understanding is both Pine City and Mora, since that is the current co-op, would have to agree. Um when Mandy reached out to Pine City's AD, the impression that she got was Pine City was not interested. I asked Mandy to get that in writing from Pine City. Uh Pine City was not willing to put that in writing. So, could that change? I don't know. Um but as of Mandy's conversation with Pine City's AD, they were not interested in doing that. Um I've heard rumor. I don't know that it's true, but I've heard other schools may be interested as well. So, I don't
040know if they're exploring all options or what, but they wouldn't put it in writing, but that's what they had verbally told Mandy. So, that that's kind of where I've gotten on that. So, they don't want to have a part partnership with Hinckley-Finlayson. It Based on Mandy's our AD's conversation with Pine City's AD, it doesn't sound like it. For girls hockey. Was there a reason given? I don't know. Well, so I wonder if part of it there's other schools looking and they don't want that to grow. I don't know for sure cuz they wouldn't put it in writing. Could it change? I guess I don't know that either. But I'm curious why they wouldn't put it in writing. They don't want I mean, I Me as well. Can she go back and We're now providing transportation.
041So, for us to provide transportation two ways, like I had her are ready at that point where boys are there. Like in wrestling is I had her ask of her belief two or three times, told them I wanted it in writing. They initially said they would give it in writing, and then last week they said they wouldn't. So, they maybe are considering it? Maybe. So, what point are they going to give us a decision? Like a final I don't know if it's open or just something they wouldn't put in writing. Is there a next step for somebody else to reach out to Pine City then if it's a conversation that's not I mean, I could call their superintendent and find out I mean, if they know our our whys as to why we want to
042have it co-op there versus Moose Lake. Maybe that'll help. Yeah. Especially to have like a definite answer and a reason as to why. But like that it's How many players does it impact? How many players would would be going? I just one one or two families for sure. And we have one or two families for sure that are current in Moose Lake. It is kind of hard to know though because you can sometimes have more just from it going. Yeah. There was additions into wrestling too because the transportation was there. And so, More kids would go. It It wasn't drastic, but I'm just saying like you can slowly grow it, and so it's hard to say too because maybe if that was the thing that happened, you might see more participation. Especially if you have
043these families that are split then they already have a son going to Pine City for hockey. Mhm. Now you can send your daughter in the same direction, you might have a bigger drop for that. Maybe they don't have room for more children or more students at all. If I may sorry, go for it. If I look at this so part of the and this is just me spitballing so part of the deal with with that is Pine City is a class A school and and it says they have themselves Mora um Rush City and Braham are part of their co-op. If you go above a certain number you have to play double A. So I don't know if that's part of the deal what they're looking at in terms of number wise um but just
044looking at three of the schools are at 800. So and 1018 was the cut off this year so that might be that's just me speculating about what might happen in terms of number wise. If you go over 1018 enrollment you have to be in double A. That's just something they could have like black and white tell us but when you reach out if this would put us over to change is that the reason? If and if that's it then like if they could just tell us. >> Tell us. Like it'd be it'd be a lot. Like I said I we thought we were going to get something in writing then Mandy told me in the last week they're not willing to. That's just weird to me. I'll call their suit. See if they can get
045them. And then put it back on the agenda next month. Follow up next month with information I can find out. All right. Then we are at the superintendent contract for 2026 to 27, 2027 to 28, and 2028 to 29. Recommend board approval of the new superintendent contract for 26 27, 27 28, and 28 29. All right, any questions or discussions about the superintendent contract. If not, I'm looking for a motion to accept the superintendent contract for Mr. McNulty. I'll second. Motion and a second. Is there any further discussion? All in favor say I. I. Opposed? Motion passes 7 to 0. And then we move to our daycare tuition increase. As discussed at the work session, looking for approval to do a rate increase effective in May. Um reason we're looking to do this is um
046we don't have as many infants as we thought, so this would help us get better in the projection than what we had projected for revenue uh last year. So, looking for approval of this daycare tuition to take effect in May. All right. Are there any questions or discussion about the day daycare tuition increase? Is it I'm sorry. Is this is still fairly consistent with the local Yes. Okay. Yes. Any further questions? So, I'm looking for a motion to accept the daycare tuition increase. I'll move that. There's a motion. Is there a second? I'll second. Motion second. Any further discussion? All in favor say I. I. Opposed? Motion passes 7 to 0. I did, before we adjourn, just want to take time to say thank you to you board members for all of your dedication and
047the time put into the superintendent search. It was a lot of hours and meetings and discussions and you supported each other through it and so just thank you all for taking the time and yeah, I appreciate it. So, thank you. Thank you, Mary. All right, so we have reached the end of our agenda. Is there a motion to adjourn? I make a motion. Is there a second? I'll second. All right, there's a motion and a second. Any discussion? All in favor say "Aye." Aye. Aye.
